WWE Superstar Roman Reigns and former on-air talent Shane McMahon have been spotted at the White House for UFC Freedom 250, putting two members of wrestling’s most famous families on the South Lawn for one of the most unusual nights in UFC history.
The former WWE on-air talent and son of Vince McMahon was confirmed in attendance Sunday evening, June 14, as the UFC staged its historic card on the White House grounds in Washington, D.C. It is not known whether Vince McMahon is also present.
Shane’s appearance is notable because it sits apart from the official WWE contingent working the weekend. UFC and WWE, sister companies under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella, built a separate Fan Fest at the Ellipse across June 13 and 14 to tie the wrestling brand into the celebration.
WWE’s Official Freedom 250 Roster
The advertised WWE lineup for the Fan Fest meet and greets includes United States Champion Trick Williams, Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Chelsea Green, Bron Breakker, and The Usos, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. Those appearances were promoted on WWE programming and by the UFC ahead of the weekend.
Per WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, additional WWE talent reached out about attending in an unofficial capacity, and several backstage personnel were expected across the weekend, though no names were attached to that report.
Not every advertised name is guaranteed a seat at the cage. Much of the WWE activity was built around the public Fan Fest rather than the fights themselves, which makes a confirmed sighting on the actual White House grounds a different story.
The Card They Walked Into
The Freedom 250 main card is headlined by Ilia Topuria defending the UFC lightweight title against Justin Gaethje, with Alex Pereira meeting Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship in the co-main event. The event marks the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence and falls on President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.
Roughly 1,200 of the 4,300 available seats were set aside for military members, tied to the U.S. Army’s anniversary. UFC CEO Dana White had also extended invitations to a long list of A-list names, though confirmation on most of those guests remained thin as of Sunday evening.
