The New Day’s History With FTR and The Usos

In 2019, Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated The Revival to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. New Day retained the championships against The Revival at the TLC pay-per-view in Minneapolis on December 15, 2019.

Meanwhile, The Usos and The New Day have dominated WWE’s modern tag team division with classic title matches and rivalries.

Woods and Kingston’s departure from WWE marks the end of New Day’s 12-year run with the company.

The Usos Break Silence On Jacob Fatu Attacking Roman Reigns

The Usos recently reacted to Jacob Fatu’s brutal attack on Roman Reigns during the April 28 episode of WWE Raw. The former WWE World Tag Team Champions took to social media after Fatu applied a Tongan Death Grip to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The confrontation occurred during the main event segment when Reigns officially confirmed he will face Fatu at Backlash 2026. ‘OTC’ had given his cousin a full week to reconsider his challenge and choose family unity over conflict.

Fatu rejected the peace offering, stating he needed no additional time to make his decision. ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ expressed frustration that Reigns never reached out to him during his rise to the top, crediting Solo Sikoa for bringing him into WWE instead.

Roman Reigns Corrects the Record Before Attack

Reigns corrected Fatu’s version of events during their verbal exchange. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion stated that Fatu’s signing was actually authorized by him personally.

The situation turned physical when Fatu applied a Tongan Death Grip to Reigns. While gasping for air, Reigns struggled to finish his sentence before finally confirming the Backlash 2026 match as RAW went off the air.

The Usos posted on X following the segment, writing:

    “‘Samoan death grip’ now Crazy.”

    WWE Wants More Interactive Entrance

Following the viral popularity of “Main Event” Jey Uso’s YEET entrance, WWE is looking for a theme that allows for greater crowd participation. The company wants something more engaging as The Usos head into their WrestleMania 42 match.

The decision to scrap the theme came quickly after the MSG debut. According to sources, company officials were put off by the lackluster response and are moving to overhaul the integral part of the team’s presentation.

The Usos Head to WrestleMania 42

The Usos lost the World Tag Team Championship to Austin Theory and Logan Paul on RAW at MSG. The match featured interference from IShowSpeed and LA Knight, with Speed accidentally hitting The Megastar and allowing Theory to capitalize for the win.

Jimmy and Jey are now set for a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania 42. They will team with LA Knight to face Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and IShowSpeed after the match was made official by Adam Pearce.

Six-Man Tag Match Official for WrestleMania 42 After RAW

It’s official. WWE General Manager Adam Pearce booked the six-man tag team match for WrestleMania 42 during tonight’s Raw from the Toyota Center in Houston.

IShowSpeed, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory will face The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and LA Knight at the two-night event on April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The announcement came after Speed appeared on tonight’s show and once again inserted himself into the feud between The Vision and Knight. Speed assisted Theory during his singles match against Knight, making his alignment with The Vision unmistakable after weeks of claiming the brass knuckles incident was an accident.

    From Rumor to Reality

The match had been rumored since last week after Dave Meltzer reported it was listed on internal WWE documents. The build began on the March 30 RAW at Madison Square Garden, when Speed accidentally struck Knight with brass knuckles during a World Tag Team Championship Street Fight.

That interference helped Logan Paul and Austin Theory defeat The Usos to capture the World Tag Team titles. Knight retaliated by crashing Speed’s livestream and attacking him, leaving the YouTuber with visible injuries he showed off on a subsequent stream.

    Can IShowSpeed Handle the Ring?

Speed’s only prior in-ring experience came during the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, where he replaced an injured Akira Tozawa and was memorably speared by Bron Breakker. He also completed a training session at the WWE Performance Center with Randy Orton for his YouTube series, where he developed a moonsault finisher called “The Speed Drop.”

The World Tag Team Championships are expected to be on the line in the six-man tag, though WWE has not confirmed that stipulation. WrestleMania 42 airs live from Allegiant Stadium on April 18-19.

The Usos, LA Knight, IShowSpeed Rumored For WrestleMania 42 Match

The Usos and LA Knight are reportedly scheduled for a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania 42. The match would pit the trio against The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) and YouTube star IShowSpeed.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Live that the match is currently listed on internal planning documents.

“Right now, a match with Paul & Austin Theory & IShowSpeed vs The Usos & LA Knight is scheduled for the show,” Meltzer stated.

The report includes a contingency plan if IShowSpeed isn’t cleared to compete.

“If Speed isn’t ready, they could do a tag match with Knight and Speed in the corners, but right now, it’s the trios match that is on the match listing,” Meltzer explained.

    IShowSpeed’s WWE Involvement

IShowSpeed has been involved in recent WWE programming, appearing on RAW in segments with The Vision. The YouTube personality even punched LA Knight with brass knuckles during the latest episode of Raw, setting up potential storyline justification for the WrestleMania match.

No official announcement has been made by WWE regarding the match.

El Grande Match Moved to AAA

Meltzer also addressed the status of a previously rumored mask vs. mask match. The bout between El Grande Americano and Original El Grande Americano will not take place at WrestleMania 42.

“The El Grande vs. El Grande match is going to happen for AAA. They’ve got a date booked for that match, so they’re not doing a mask vs. mask match between those two guys at WrestleMania, they’re saving that for AAA,” Meltzer reported.

WrestleMania 42 takes place on April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

  • IShowSpeed Involved In Title Change On Raw

IShowSpeed Involved In Title Change On Raw

    IShowSpeed has made some enemies.

Tonight’s episode of Raw featured a chaotic tag team championship match with The Usos defending the title against Logan Paul and Austin Theory in a Street Fight. LA Knight sat at the ringside for this bout while Speed and Paul’s mom were also in attendance.

The champs looked to be in control of the bout after they put Theory through a table, but they failed to get the pin. Logan then went to his mom, who pulled out the Brass Knuckles from her purse. Before Paul could do anything, however, LA Knight attacked him from behind.

Logan Paul tried to grab onto Speed for support, but all he managed to do was pull the fellow YouTuber over the barricade and into the action. Speed grabbed the Brass Knuckles as Paul went down. He was contemplating what to do next when Knight reached for him from behind, leading to the YouTuber inadvertently knocking him out with the weapon.

The Vision star then got hold of the Knuckles again, and he managed to hit Jimmy Uso when the high-flying star was attempting a dive. Jey took out Logan as a result, but the distraction allowed Theory to get the pin on an unconscious Jimmy.

The new tag champs were seen celebrating the victory with Speed later in the night. The YouTuber star was worried about the turn of events, and Paul told him that he had enemies in WWE now, suggesting that his involvement with the company was not over.

  • Final Raw of 2025 Ends With Big Title Change

    The Usos are champions again.

The final WWE Raw episode of 2025 saw the brothers reuniting to challenge Dragon Lee and AJ Styles for the World Tag Team Championships.

The finishing minutes of this main event match featuring 4 of WWE\’s most exciting stars saw some crazy moves. This included Lee taking out Jimmy Uso with a mid-rope suicide dive on the announce desk and Jey Uso kicking out of a Styles Clash.

The ending of the bout saw AJ putting Jey Uso on the ropes for a Stomp-Styles Clash combo with his partner. As he held up his opponent, however, Big Jim came alive and took out Dragon Lee with a big kick.

Styles then let Jey go, and he went for a Phenomenal Forearm on Jimmy. He couldn\’t deliver the move as the Usos took AJ out with a double superkick mid-air.

Another superkick and 1D combo on Dragon Lee proved to be fatal for the defending champions, and the Usos picked up a pinfall victory to end the year as champions.

This title change ends the reign of Styles and Lee at 70 days and starts the 9th reign of the Usos with the tag team gold in WWE.
