  • \’TV Time She Desperately Needs\’: Tiffany Stratton Lashes Out At Charlotte For Trying To Bury Her

Tiffany Stratton is not holding back on Charlotte Flair.

The Women\’s World Champion had an interview with Gorilla Position ahead of her title defence at WrestleMania. She talked about things such as how she is adjusting to life on the main roster, relationship with Ludwig Kaiser and more.

The real-life issues between Stratton and Flair started with a split-screen interview on SmackDown a few weeks back. A lot of fans noted that the segment made Tiffany look bad, and they theorized that Flair went off script, leaving the champion scrambling to find appropriate replies.

The 25-year-old was asked if she has heard the popular notion that Charlotte didn\’t give her the opportunity to shine in their exchange. The current champion noted that she has heard the complain of fans:

\”Yeah, of course I hear all the noise. Twitter didn\’t let me not hear all the noise. But congratulations to Charlotte, a 15-year veteran buried a rookie in an interview.

I hope she got all of the TV time that she so desperately needs because clearly, she needs it more than I do. So going into WrestleMania, I\’m still just, I\’m focused on beating her. If it were to happen where if Charlotte beats me, then you know what? I\’ve got another WrestleMania. At least 10 more. At least.\”

Some fans defending Flair have said that maybe she was trying to test her upstart opponent. Tiffany Stratton didn\’t agree with the idea, however, saying that Charlotte was not letting her speak at all:

\”I don\’t know about test. I do feel like there was a little bit of interrupting and kind of not letting me get anything I wanted to say out. So I wouldn\’t say test. I would say more so just being a big, mean veteran.\”

Don\’t Want To Accomplish Too Much Too Soon: Tiffany Stratton

We have seen Charlotte Flair immediately getting inserted into the title picture after returning from a long hiatus a number of times in the past few years. This booking path for the Queen, however, usually leaves her opponent in the dust.

When asked if she is worried about a loss to Flair derailing her career, Tiffany Stratton replied negatively. The young star noted that she has a long career ahead of her. Losing the title could be a blessing as it\’ll allow her to tell new stories:

\”No I don\’t think it would derail me in the long run. I do think you know it would be time for me to reflect and kind of go back to the drawing board and figure out what I need to do next. But I don\’t think it would derail me in the long run.

I\’ve got, again, like at least 10 more years in me. If anything, it would actually be kind of a good thing because I\’m a year [in] on SmackDown, and I feel like I don\’t want to accomplish too much too soon, to where like I get boring.

Cause I just feel like if you run through SmackDown or Raw and you win a title so quickly, you kind of become boring if you don\’t have a good storyline. So I do think this could be something different for me if I do lose, and again I could just go back to the drawing board and see what I need to figure out better.\”

  • Randy Orton Teases WrestleMania 41 Plans: I\’m Calling Somebody Out

Randy Orton has issued a warning to Nick Aldis.

The Viper has found himself in a predicament after Kevin Owens withdrew from their WrestleMania match due to his neck injury. As things stand, Orton is not booked for the Show of Shows. Though this is not for the lack of trying on Randy\’s part, as he has been demanding an opponent from the SmackDown GM.

WWE recently posted a video of the Legend Killer commenting on his WrestleMania status while participating in a meet & greet event ahead of the of big show.

When asked if he has any idea on his status for the PLE, Randy Orton said that he hopes to find out at SmackDown this Friday. The former world champion also teased holding an open challenge if nothing works out, mentioning how it\’s going to be his 20th Mania appearance:

\”Any idea? No but I\’m gonna find out on SmackDown, Friday. At least I better find out or Nick Aldis is eating yet another RKO, which I will pay the fine happily. Honestly, I have no idea what\’s going on.

But I have my gear, I got my boots. I\’ll be all warmed up in that ring. I\’m calling somebody out. I gotta do something. I gotta give fans here in Vegas, an RKO at WrestleMania. I got to. It\’s number 20, what the hell right? Wish me luck. \”

There are a lot of rumors on who could be Orton\’s opponent at the PPV this weekend, with speculations ranging from Aleister Black to Rusev.

Though if the plan is for Randy to deliver an RKO and stand tall, it\’d make more sense for someone from the current roster to confront the WWE legend instead of a returning star.

  • Big E Confirms Former Champion\’s WWE Return

Big E has seemingly confirmed a big WWE return.

The last few months have seen a number of AEW stars jumping ship. Both Penta and Rey Fenix have already made their debut for the Endeavor-owned promotion with Aleister Black believed to be on his way back.

The former WWE Champion seemingly confirmed another name who would be returning to the promotion during his Fanatics Live Signing. When the card for Miro, aka Rusev came up, Big E said that he actually confirmed the news by reaching out to the former US Champion himself:

\”Someone who has just been announced to return. I actually reached out to him and he confirmed that the news is indeed true. I don\’t know when he\’ll be back. A blast from the past and now very topical because he just announced he is returning to the squared circle in World Wrestling Entertainment.\”

After renewing his wedding vows with CJ Perry in March, reports of Rusev re-signing with WWE emerged earlier this month. He is expected to be in town for WrestleMania 41, but there is no news on if a WWE appearance is planned.

Miro or Rusev would likely not be the last name to switch sides this year as Mariah May has apparently already told AEW that she won\’t be re-signing with the company. You can check out more about May\’s decision here.

  • Injured Star Returns After 8 Months On AEW Collision: Spring BreakThru

Tonight\’s special Spring BreakThru episode of Collision from MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts, featured a couple of interesting returns.

The first name that returned to the ring was RUSH. The Mexican star had been out of action for a couple of months and his last match came at the February 8th episode of AEW Collision.

The 36-year-old teamed up with Dralistico and The Beast Mortos to face KM, Rosario Grillo, and LSG. RUSH and his team picked up a quick victory over their opponents.

Trent Beretta Returns From Neck Injury

The second and bigger return of the night was of former WWE and TNA star Trent Beretta. The wrestling veteran had been out of action since August last year after undergoing neck surgery.

The episode featured a tag team match between Josh Alexander & Konosuke Takeshita of The Don Callis Family and Tomohiro Ishii & Rocky Romero of The Conglomeration.

The duo of Alexander & Takeshita picked up the victory in the match after some miscommunication between their opponents. Romero didn\’t tag in Ishii at the right time, leaving the Japanese legend to deal with the winners on his own.

The two Conglomeration members had a confrontation in the ring after the bell before a hooded figure showed up. Rocky Romero then turned heel by attacking a distracted Ishii as the hooded figure was revealed to be the returning Trent Beretta.

The Callis Family then returned to the ring and gave Beretta a monkey wrench. Romero held Ishii up for his partner to hit him and the Callis Family stood tall to end the segment.

  • Cody Rhodes Reveals Daughter Liberty’s Reaction To Elimination Chamber Injury

Cody Rhodes has revealed a conversation with his daughter over his Elimination Chamber injury.

The Undisputed WWE Champion appeared on the Today show on Thursday morning to promote WrestleMania 41. He discussed things such as John Cena turning heel, his wrestling superstition, and more.

When asked what his daughter, Liberty, thinks about his work, Cody revealed the conversation he had with her after suffering a brutal injury at the hands of Travis Scott at the latest WWE PPV. Rhodes also light-heartedly discussed how it might have an adverse effect on her later on:

\”I wasn\’t thinking I had to have this conversation this early with her. But we did cause I left the ring at Elimination Chamber – Travis Scott of all people put a very large mark on my face and my eardrum was busted. She had a lot of concern.

So what I have told her and I don\’t know if this is the best strategy, is that I\’m pretending to be a superhero and I\’m playing with my friends. So far that works but we\’ll see, cuz I think the moment she sees playing with my friends turn into somebody maybe beating me up. She has a adverse reaction.\”

I Am Looking Forward To: Cody Rhodes

Later in the interview, Cody Rhodes was asked if he has any Hollywood aspirations and the American Nightmare replied positively. When the hosts mentioned that he can probably do it while still being a WWE star, the WWE champion joked about Roman Reigns\’ part time schedule:

\”I feel like so many wrestlers will always answer this and say \’Oh never. No, I\’m always going to be wrestling. I love it so much.\’ I do. I love wrestling. This is all I\’ve ever done. I grew up in wrestling.

But for me I really am looking forward to what it\’s like to tell stories not just in the ring. So for me absolutely, yes. Today, WWE, you can come and go as you please. Roman Reigns, as good as he is, he only shows up like 10 times a year anyway so…no shade.\”

  • Cody Rhodes Reveals His WrestleMania Superstition

Cody Rhodes has revealed his WrestleMania superstition.

The Undisputed WWE Champion appeared on the Today show on Thursday morning to promote WrestleMania 41. He talked about things such as Travis Scott injuring him at Elimination Chamber, John Cena turning heel and more.

When asked if he has any superstitions going into the ring, Rhodes explained that he doesn\’t want to look at the live audience until he walks out for his performance as he don\’t want to form any expectations:

\”I feel like I\’m very superstitious. I almost don\’t even realize it but one big one for me is Allegiant Stadium, I don\’t want to see it. In terms of, I\’ll be able to you know, watch some playback, and it\’ll be playing on the bus and in the locker room.

But I don\’t want to look out into the live stadium until I come up from underneath the stage for the first time. I want that to be the first moment we all make eye contact, and have that just because I feel like if I see them in advance, I have an expectation. I just want to experience that for the first time just like they are experiencing it.\”

Cody Rhodes will be walking into his third straight WrestleMania main event this Sunday, becoming only the third star to do so after Hulk Hogan and Roman Reigns. You can check out the match order and full card for the show here.

  • Chelsea Green Reveals Awkward Reaction To Learning About Her US Title Win

Chelsea Green has revealed her awkward reaction to learning about her US title win.

The longest-reigning Women\’s US Champion recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. She talked about things such as her WWE release in 2021, her Lucha Underground match with Penta, and more.

Green picked up the biggest win of her career in December last year when she defeated Michin in finals of a tournament to become the first ever Women\’s US Champion on the returning Saturday Night\’s Main Event. During the interview, Chelsea went into detail of how she handled herself in the days prior to the event.

The former TNA star noted how plans change in WWE all the time so they only tell people the finish to matches at the very last minute. This made things awkward for Green as everyone leading up to the show assumed that she was winning the belt and knew about it, while the same had not been communicated by the officials. The confirmation was only given to her at the very last second in the Gorilla position, right before she went out for her match:

\”As we were walking to the ring to go through things I was being filmed. So that’s a big telltale sign, you’re being filmed for something WWE. So they had me walk to the ring, and then they had this very, very, very awkward moment between me and Shane Helms where he basically told me that I’m winning, we were just all downplaying it big time and it was very awkward.\”

I Hope That Footage Comes Out: Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green noted how she was originally under the impression that the finals would take place at Survivor Series in Chicago. So she had bought tickets for dozens of her family members and friends. The female star also revealed that Michin had offered to build the match in a way that benefited her. Green however decided to build the bout in a way where either of them could come out victorious:

\”I hope that footage comes out, because Triple H is sitting there watching us have the conversation, but he’s not telling me. But obviously he decided it, and I’m like this is so weird that he’s watching me react, so I’m trying to be excited, but I’ve also kind of known and hoped that this was gonna happen, and then I’m also like but if I react too big is that kind of icky?

I’m so excited I’m winning; do you know what I mean? A lot of emotions were going through me and I’m not a very emotional person too, so that doesn’t help the reaction. So it was very awkward. So I hope that moment airs somewhere. I hope you guys all get to see that.”

Chelsea Green is currently not booked for a match at WrestleMania 41 but it\’s possible that she is added to the show for a last-minute title defence or a segment.

  • Rhea Ripley Recalls The Time She Wanted To Quit WWE

Rhea Ripley has revealed a time she wanted to quit WWE.

The Mami is one of WWE\’s top stars right now, even outdoing the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in merch sales some weeks. The journey to this success has not been an easy one for Ripley, however. Having made her wrestling debut at the age of 17 back in 2014, Rhea had to go through a lot of hardship before finding her unique identity that has led to her becoming an icon for everyone who feels like an outcast.

The former Champion talked about her path during a recent interview with Paste Magazine. She first discussed her intense routine while training at the Diana Dojo in Japan. Rhea Ripley then noted that things didn\’t improve for her even after joining WWE. Ripley, who was trying to fit in with other young signees, failed to make an impression in her early appearances. This led to her wanting to quit the business altogether:

“I literally broke down. I was at my lowest and I wanted to quit. I wanted to give it all up, and I was like, ‘No, you have to continue for all the people that actually did believe in you. You have to prove the doubters wrong.’”

I Was So Much More Confident: Rhea Ripley

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/04/\"https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/04/\"
Rhea Ripley\’s early look in WWE

Rhea Ripley competed in the Inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament in July 2017. She made her NXT debut in October that year, competing in a battle royal. This remained her only TV appearance for the brand for almost a year, however, until she completely overhauled her appearance. She debuted her current look at the 2018 Mae Young Classic, that led to her becoming the star she is now:

“I said, ‘This is me now.’ And they were like, ‘Okay, we’ll see if it works.’ Luckily, I went out there and I was so much more confident. The second Mae Young Classic, I was me. I didn’t care. I just wanted to go out there and do what I loved. I wanted to brutalize and entertain, and that’s where Rhea Ripley grew into.”

The Eradicator will be competing in a triple threat match for the Women\’s title against Bianca Belair and IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41. You can check out the match order for both nights of the show here.

  • Update On Omos After Nick Khan Claims WWE Doesn\’t Bench People

The WWE status of Omos continues to be a mystery.

The Nigerian Giant\’s WWE absence was highlighted again when WWE President Nick Khan made the bold claim that they are not a company that signs talents just to bench them.

The 7ft tall star has not wrestled since the officials decided to cut short his Japanese excursion in January. The wrestling giant had been making headlines working for Pro Wrestling NOAH, so people believed that the company will have a role for him when he returns to the US.

He ended up missing the Royal Rumble event after being called back only days prior to the PPV, however. Omos has not been seen on TV even once during the build to WrestleMania since then, making people question why was he ever brought back in the first place.

Fightful Select provided an update on the WWE star\’s status after these talks picked up, once again noting that he is not injured. According to the site, Omos hasn\’t been brought up in creative discussions in recent times, despite being healthy and ready to work.

As for his Japan trip, The WWE giant is said to have made a good impression during his work there and the belief is that NOAH will be happy to have him back if the opportunity is presented in the future.

WWE has announced the return of Andre The Giant Battle Royal for this Friday\’s WrestleMania go-home SmackDown. It looks to be the perfect opportunity to reintroduce the former Raw Underground star to TV, though there is no indication right now that the officials are planning to do so.

  • Watch: What Happened With Samoa Joe After Dynamite Went Off Air

Samoa Joe cut a passionate promo after this week\’s historic episode of AEW Dynamite from MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts, went off air.

The company celebrated the Wednesday night show becoming the longest-running weekly prime time wrestling series in the history of Turner Sports, beating WCW Monday Night Nitro. Tony Khan booked a show worthy of the achievement with a number of big matches.

The event title \’Spring BreakThru\’ opened with Athena\’s return to AEW TV in a match against Mercedes Mone. We also saw the first appearance by Christian Cage since the Revolution PPV on March 9.

The biggest surprise of the night was probably the debut of the former Impact World Champion Josh Alexander. The Walking Weapon was revealed to be the wild card in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament, and he faced Hangman Page at the show.

    What Happened After Dynamite

The main event of the show saw the trio of Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe & Will Hobbs challenging The Death Riders for the AEW Trios title. Jon Moxley replaced Pac in the title defence due to the latter\’s injury.

Swerve Strickland, The Young Bucks, Willow Nightingale and Marina Shafir all appeared at ringside trying to influence the bout. It was Joe who won the match for his team in the end, taking out the AEW World Champion with a Coquina Clutch.

The locker room emptied out to celebrate the fall of the Death Riders after the match and the show ended with a number of big names celebrating in the ring. This celebration continued even after the show and Samoa Joe cut an off air promo to send the crowd home.

  • Best Thing That Could Happen: Seth Rollins Reveals Interesting Take On Charlotte Flair/Tiffany Stratton Situation

Seth Rollins has revealed his stand on the Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton situation.

The two female stars who are set to compete at WrestleMania 41 have been in news recently but for the wrong reasons. The two WWE stars have gathered real life heat after going off script and taking personal shots at each other during promos building up to their upcoming title match.

The Architect was asked about his opinion on the whole situation during his recent appearance on Outta Pocket podcast. Seth Rollins mentioned how he has worked with plenty of people he didn\’t like during his career, but explained that you have to have thick skin in the wrestling business:

\”Gosh, that\’s a tough one cause I do have some opinions about it but there\’s sort of…how do I say this? I think no matter what, it\’s a collaboration in my opinion. It should always be a collaboration.

Look I\’ve been out there in the ring with people who I didn\’t like. You\’ve worked with I\’m sure plenty of people that you did not like. But there is a certain respect that you share and a communication that should happen and an understanding. One of my favorite people in the world is John Cena.

John always told me whenever we would cut a promo together \’You say whatever you want out there. We\’re on TV. It\’s fair game. Anything you want. My skin is thick.\’ In our industry, you have to be able to do that. You have to be able to have a thick skin because, we are in the conflict business, and the best conflict that we can sell is real-life conflict. Because our audience is so smart, they can sniff things out from a mile away.\”

We\’re Talking About It Now: Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins then made an interesting assessment saying that the real-life conflict is a good thing. According to him, it has actually helped the story as people are talking more about it now than they were before:

\”So in my opinion what happened on, what it [was] last Friday, I guess it would be, was the best thing that could have happened for their story. Because we\’re on this podcast talking about it right now. Had it not happened, we wouldn\’t even be thinking about it at all.

So in my opinion, the direction it went it\’s going to help bolster their match leading into WrestleMania. Now, can we get both of them to come together and work together? TBD. We\’ll see. I don\’t know.

They\’ve got a show. We\’ll see what happens. Like I said, I\’ve been in the ring with people and I\’ve been in promos with people that I didn\’t like but there\’s always an understanding of what lines to cross. Look if you\’re gonna break that agreement, then you need to be prepared for what comes back at you. I\’ll just leave it at that.\”

  • Rhea Ripley Reveals Surprising WWE Inspiration

Rhea Ripley has revealed a surprising name as a wrestling inspiration for her.

The Mami recently appeared on Kevin Hart\’s show Cold As Balls. She talked about things such as her partnership with Dominik Mysterio, her history teaming and feuding with Liv Morgan, and more.

During the talk, Rhea was asked about her inspirations in the wrestling business. The Eradicator unsurprisingly named Triple H as someone she loved growing up:

\”I had three, three main ones growing up..It was Triple H, which is now my boss, so absolutely wild. He\’s done so much in WWE, and now he\’s literally running it.\”

He\’s So Comfortable Being A Di**head: Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley then also revealed The Miz as an inspiration. Despite having very different character compared to the A-Lister, the female star said that she loves the former WWE champion for his dedication to being a heel:

\”Then there\’s The Miz. I love The Miz. I don\’t know if it was like his cocky demeanor. He\’s so funny. He\’s so comfortable being a dickhead, and I love that. Then obviously, CM Punk, as well. He\’s finally back with WWE, which is amazing. It\’s so wild to like have him there.\”

Apart from this, Ripley revealed that the first thing that drew her towards wrestling was Triple H\’s feud with Ric Flair. Specifically the moment where H shoved a screwdriver into the Nature Boy\’s head got her hooked to the sport.

The former Judgment Day member will be competing in a triple threat match against Bianca Belair and IYO SKY for the Women\’s title at WrestleMania 41. You can check out the match order for the show here.

  • Natalya Reveals First WWE Salary

Natalya has revealed how much money she made in her first WWE contract.

The former SmackDown women\’s champion recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. She talked about things such as helping Nikki Bella train for her Royal Rumble return, working with her dad Jim Neidhart on Total Divas, and more.

During the interview, Natalya also talked about her struggles before signing with WWE. The Hart Family member made her in-ring debut in 2000 and worked in countries such as England and Japan for many years before finally being signed to a development contract by WWE in 2007.

The female star revealed that she worked as a waitress for a long time before getting her big break. Citing her own experience in the public service industry, the WWE veteran said that everyone who works such jobs deserves a round of applause:

\”I was so excited because I had worked that waitressing job, I cleaned bathrooms, I busted tables, and I did my wrestling when I wasn’t working at that job, and I just fought so hard to get here.

I always remembered how much I actually enjoyed waitressing. I think everybody that does public service or works in the service industry, like I give them a round of applause, because you guys, whoever works in restaurants or retail or has to serve people, it is not easy.”

It Was About Getting My Foot In The Door: Natalya

Natalya was assigned to Deep South Wrestling after signing a development deal with the company. She has been a regular on the main roster since being called up to SmackDown in 2008. Apart from winning multiple titles in WWE, she has also contributed to many people\’s career as trainer in the Hart Dungeon since then.

During the interview, the wrestling veteran revealed that she has saved the stub for every check she has received from the Endeavor-owned company. She also disclosed how much money she was making very early in her WWE career:

\”I was only making in my first year in WWE $500 a week. So of course that’s not terrible by any means, when you’re just getting started, but when you have to pay for ring gear and your hair and your makeup, and you have to pay taxes on that. In some ways it was less money than I was making as a waitress. But for me, it was about getting my foot in the door.\”

Natalya will be stepping out of her comfort zone when she competes in the NWA Crockett Cup during WrestleMania 41 week, having her first non-WWE match in years. You can check out what she said about the bout here.

  • Kevin Owens Getting Second Opinion On Neck Injury

Kevin Owens is getting a second opinion on his neck injury.

The wrestling veteran announced that he\’ll be stepping away from active competition due to a neck injury during the April 4 SmackDown. Owens also withdrew from his WrestleMania match against former tag partner Randy Orton.

The Viper opened up about his former partner\’s injury in a new interview with Complex. Orton noted that KO is paying the price of putting his body on the line for people\’s entertainment:

“If we\’re being real here, my heart breaks for Kevin, I think, first and foremost, I just hate that he\’s gotta go through that.

Even more than a physical journey he\’s gotta go on to let his body heal, it’s a mental journey too. His body\’s been through it, and now he\’s paying that price, like he said in the ring the other day. We all pay the price at one point or another.”

The article noted that Randy has set up Owens to get a second opinion from the surgeon who helped him recover from his own back injury that almost ended his career recently.

The Legend Killer who had to step away from action in 2022 due to his long-standing back issues, was told that he\’d have to get a surgery that would end his wrestling career:

“There wasn\’t a lot of help other than surgery, and I think that when I finally was told that it was time to hang up the boots–this is about six months before my operation–my world ended.”

Though, Randy Orton was determined to find an alternate solution despite battling depression over the potential choice. He was able to consult with Dr. Adam Kanter in California, who helped him get the surgery without cutting muscle in his core. This has allowed him to continue his illustrious career after a lengthy recovery.

The severity of Owens\’ injury is unknown, and it\’s hoped that he\’ll be back in the ring. One thing is sure that he\’ll have a lengthy recovery process either way. Meeting with Orton\’s surgeon will hopefully make the process easier for the former champion.

  • Chelea Green Match On SmackDown Ended Early Due To Miscommunication (Report)

The finish to the SmackDown match between Chelsea Green and Zelina Vega did not go as planned.

The Women\’s US Champion did not have Piper Niven and Alba Fyre in her corner as usual for her match because the two were banged up from competing in the Women\’s Gauntlet match earlier in the night. The lack of support cost Green the fight as she was counted out of the bout while complaining to the commentary team about not having her Secret Hervice with her.

PWInsider is now reporting, however, that the count-out finish was not the original plan. The match was slated to go a few minutes longer and the belief is that Chelsea legitimately did not hear the referee\’s count.

Moments ago, there was a match between Zelina Vega and Chelsea Green, and Zelina Vega won by countout#SmackDown pic.twitter.com/ZV3pfzWK2v

    — Eslam (@EslamRollins) April 12, 2025

One person believed that Green thought the count would be broken up when she tossed Vega back into the ring, so she focused on playing the announcers and the audience. Though when the referee reached the 10 count, they had no choice but to call the match, and the count out was said to have been \’100% legit.\’

The site confirmed that the ending was not changed due to any injury, and the early finish was caused by just a miscommunication. Vega is believed to have been the planned winner all along so the abrupt finish did not cause any major harm. None of the involved personnel had any heat coming out of the bout and it was chalked up as one of those things that \’happen when it\’s live television being broadcast without a net.\’

This finish set up a six women tag team match for next week\’s WrestleMania go home SmackDown where Zelina Vega will team up with Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to face Chelsea Green and her Secret Hervice. Since Vega did not pin the Women\’s US Champion, it\’d be interesting to see if she gets a title shot in the future.

  • Spoiler: Tony Khan Announces New Women\’s Championship After Collision

Tony Khan has announced another new wrestling championship.

The AEW president made an appearance after this week\’s episode of Collision from MassMutual Arena in Springfield, MA, went off air.

Khan came out with the new belt and announced that it\’ll be the ROH Women’s Pure Championship. He confirmed that the inaugural champion will be crowned at the upcoming Supercard of Honor event from Atlantic City, New Jersey on May 2:

The wrestling executive did not confirm any further details on the crowning of the new champion, though it\’s possible that we\’ll see a tournament leading up to the PPV event before the first champion is determined.

    History Of ROH Pure Championship

The ROH Pure Championship was first established in February 2004. AJ Styles became the Inaugural champion after defeating CM Punk in the final of an eight-men tournament at the company\’s Second Anniversary Show.

The championship, however, was retired only 2 years later by Bryan Danielson. It was reintroduced by the company in 2020, with Jonathan Gresham becoming the first champion of the new era.

This title is defended under the Pure Championship rules which include things such as a wrestler having only three rope breaks during a match and the championship changing hands even via disqualification and count out.

  • Gunther Reveals How Changing WWE Philosophy Will Affect His Retirement

Gunther sees the WWE becoming more like UFC in the coming times.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion had an interview with Ariel Helwani to promote WrestleMania 41. He talked about things such as how Triple H saved wrestling, his new deal with WWE that comes with a unique perk, and more.

The Ring General was also asked if he has a retirement age in mind or, he\’ll continue wrestling even in his 50s. Gunther explained that he isn\’t putting a timetable on the end of his wrestling career, and instead, he\’ll continue evaluating things on a regular basis:

Depends how [the body is feeling] and how I look like when 50 years old. We will see. It\’s like there\’s nothing set in stone. The business is changing so much too. Like our schedule got so much better and also WWE is in such a great spot now.

We have so many guys that are over as they say that are just super popular. While before it was more structured. There\’s like one or maybe two top top guys and everything is catered towards them.\”

    That\’s My Vision: Gunther

Gunther explained that WWE moving away from live events will help the longevity of the talents. With the mindset of creating as many stars as possible, he believes that the big names will not be wrestling as often, allowing them to extend their careers beyond the general age limit:

\”Now we have such a big…. We have so many guys that are like \’Oh he\’s a top guy, he\’s a top guy, he\’s a top guy.\’ And I think it\’s…that\’s my vision at least for the business like going forward that it\’s going to be, I don\’t know, if I want to see Gunther there is like three four big matches a year and that\’s it.

Almost like a little bit more similar how UFC is structured, if that makes sense. Obviously, we have weekly TV. It\’s a little bit of a different scenario but I think that\’s going to be a natural progression if things keep going like that.\”

  • Rhea Ripley Addresses Criticism Of WrestleMania 41 Match

Rhea Ripley has responded to criticism of the build-up to her WrestleMania 41 encounter.

The Mami is scheduled to compete in a triple threat Women\’s Championship match against IYO SKY and Bianca Belair at the Show of Shows. While SKY is the champion heading into this bout, the tensions between Ripley and Belair have taken center stage in their feud.

Ripley talked about her focus heading into the biggest wrestling show of the year during an interview with Sports Illustrated. She claimed that they are not overlooking IYO because they know how big of a threat she can be:

\”I don\’t want to say we\’re overlooking IYO, because we\’re not. We know that she\’s a threat. We know what she\’s capable of. Hell, I\’ve never beat her in a one-on-one competition. I know exactly what IYO brings to the table,\”

Not Going To Argue With 16-Year-Old: Rhea Ripley

A singles match between Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair is long anticipated. Rhea held the women\’s title when Bianca won the 2025 Women\’s Elimination Chamber to earn a WrestleMania title shot, so fans at the time believed we\’d finally get the one-on-one encounter between the two female stars.

WWE, however, pivoted towards a triple threat, adding IYO SKY to the mix. SKY won the title from the Eradicator during the March 3 episode of Raw after Rhea got into a fight with Bianca Belair who was at the ringside for the title match.

The pivot and the story coming out of it is something fans have been vocal about. Rhea Ripley addressed the online chatter but said that she will be focusing on taking out Bianca, no matter what the fans say:

\”The story is getting spicy. I know a lot of people online don\’t want to realize what\’s going on, because they hate me or whatever it is. People are going to feel whatever they want to feel. I\’m not going to argue with 16-year-olds on the internet, but that\’s the story.

And I mean, going into WrestleMania 41, I feel like, yes, I\’m going to be focusing on Bianca, because she screwed me out of my opportunity twice now by being there and wanting to be a part of the spotlight and taking that away from me when she knows how much this opportunity meant to me.\”

WWE recently revealed the match lineup for both nights of WrestleMania 41. You can check out which night this triple threat will take place here.

  • Drew McIntyre Explains Reports of \’Storming Out Of\’ Royal Rumble

Drew McIntyre has addressed the reports of \’storming out\’ of Royal Rumble 2025.

The Scottish Psychopath entered the battle royal this year at #17 and lasted almost half an hour before being eliminated by Damian Priest. At the same time as his elimination, however, Logan Paul and LA Knight were exchanging blows, taking the attention of fans away from the elimination.

Since it was supposed to be the start of the feud between Priest and Drew, McIntyre was reported to be unhappy with the turn of events and said to have stormed out of the arena before the conclusion of the PPV.

The WWE star was asked about the legitimacy of these reports during a recent interview with Getting Over podcast. He claimed that not all details of the incident were described accurately. Though Drew McIntyre did confirm that he left the arena almost immediately explaining that it was the grown-up thing to do:

“I mean, not all the details are accurate but yeah, I was fuming (at WWE Royal Rumble) and I let everybody know what I thought and then I left. Because I’ve learned as an adult, nothing good happens when you’re highly emotional so just go calm down, get the facts, then deal with it, because I don’t want to punch somebody in the head and be unprofessional and then find out facts later, I didn’t know about. It was the grown-up thing to do.\”

Drew McIntyre later said that he gets frustrated when someone does something disrespectful. However sometimes you later find out that the incident was not how it appeared on the surface. So it\’s better to calm down and get all the facts before reacting to anything too harshly which is what he did.

Apart from this, the former World Champion also talked about things such as character development in today\’s wrestling, living in world of social media and more. You can check out more highlights of his interview here.

  • Watch: What Happened With Cody Rhodes After SmackDown Went Off Air

Cody Rhodes had some fun after this week\’s episode of SmackDown from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, went off air.

The Undisputed WWE Champion made an appearance during the broadcast of the show. WWE had set up the multiple championship belts they have used in different eras, including the spinner belt that is synonymous with John Cena. Rhodes hyped up their upcoming match before Cena\’s return to TV next week.

This wasn\’t the last time fans in Seattle got to see the American Nightmare, however. He made an appearance in a tracksuit after the show with Carmelo Hayes. Cody Rhodes first did \’the worm\’ during his appearance, and he then took Hayes out with a Cross-Rhodes to send the fans home happy:

    What Happened On SmackDown

Prior to all this, fans witnessed an eventful episode of SmackDown as the company continued the build for the marquee WrestleMania matches.

This included a huge brawl between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest, which led to a Street Fight stipulation being announced for their upcoming match, as well as the crowning of Bayley & Lyra Valkyria as the new #1 contender for the Women\’s tag titles held by Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.

Apart from this, the company also confirmed the schedule for both nights of WrestleMania 41. You can check out which matches will take place on which night here.

  • Charlotte Flair Has \’Significant Heat\’ For Trying To Rattle Young Talents (Report)

Charlotte Flair is not the most popular star in WWE behind-the-scene nowadays.

The former Women\’s Champion has been under fire in recent weeks for going off script in her promo battles with Tiffany Stratton during the build for their Women’s World Championship match at WrestleMania 41.

The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided some update on how Flair is viewed backstage in light of these events. According to the report, Charlotte has significant heat for trying to rattle young talent in the way of other veterans:

\”Charlotte Flair has significant heat backstage with one person saying \”Charlotte is trying to rattle young talent in the way Cena used to and Randy used to but the problem is Charlotte has f***** this whole program because she can\’t adjust like they could. She\’s trying to embarrass Tiffany.\”

The Queen is believed to have gone off script in the dual camera segment that she had with Stratton few weeks ago. The in-ring promo segment last week then made things worse as both the women strayed away from the pre-determined path. This led to an awkward conclusion to the whole thing which the company cut from the videos they uploaded on various social platforms.

The report notes that the segment last week was written with the idea of Tiffany retaliating against Flair for her earlier conduct and most of the personal jabs including the one about Ric Flair was pre-written. Though there is contradiction on whether or not Stratton\’s \’0-3\’ line was part of the script.

It\’s unknown how the company is planning to handle the feud after the recent developments and it\’d be interesting to see which one of the two women walks out with the title at the Show of Shows.

  • Update On How Long Kevin Owens Might Stay Out of Action With Neck Injury

Kevin Owens is expected to be out of action for the rest of the year.

The former Universal Champion announced his neck injury during the April 4 episode of SmackDown. He confirmed that he\’ll be stepping away from the promotion for a while for surgery.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on Owens\’ status in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealing that the WWE star has already undergone the surgery. Furthermore he noted that Kevin is hoping to be back in the ring by WrestleMania 42 though it\’s possible that the recovery takes longer:

\”Kevin Owens\’ surgery was believed to have taken place on April 7th. In most cases, this type of surgery leads to the person being out 12 to 15 months although there are other forms of neck surgery that can be done. Owens put the timetable as six to eight months, or maybe a year.\”

The Canadian wrestling star was scheduled to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 prior to his injury. A new opponent has not been announced for The Viper at the PPV but stars such as Karrion Kross and Sheamus have expressed interest in facing the wrestling veteran at the Show of Shows.

Owens has addressed his injury since announcing it on SmackDown and in an interview, he revealed how long he had been dealing with it. You can check out his remarks on the matter here.

  • \’You\’re An Asshole\’: Kevin Owens Reveals How He Deals With Airport Hecklers

Kevin Owens has opened up about how he deals with airport collectors.

Wrestlers and other celebrities being swarmed by collectors at the airport has become a big problem in recent times. A number of wrestling names have spoken up about the issue and now KO has joined the list.

The former Universal Champion discussed the problem during his recent interview with Chris Van Vliet. He first noted how sometimes there are more than 50 people waiting for them at the airport. He explained that this can be overwhelming when you\’re trying to get to your flight, especially for female talents. Owens then revealed that people have now started buying tickets just so they can follow talents past security:

\”Some of them have started buying tickets to get across security. So they meet us at our gate. Those guys to me are like rotten. If you do that, you\’re an asshole. I told that to one of the guys that did it recently as I was walking by him. He was at our gate.

He\’s trying to get me to sign. I go \’Nope,\’ He goes \’Oh Stone Cold doesn\’t have a problem signing.\’ I told him \’Okay good for you\’ And he\’s like trying to talk shit cuz he\’s at an airport. So he can do it. He knows nothing\’s gonna happen to him. He would never do that on the street, you know what I mean? That just says a lot about the kind of people [they are].\”

Airport is Never The Place: Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens recalled the incident with Rey Mysterio where people tried to film the wrestling veteran and make him the bad guy for refusing to sign autographs. Owens then revealed how he deals with such people nowadays:

\”What I do now at airports is I come and when they\’re all waiting for their autographs, I just go \’I don\’t sign at the airport but I\’ll gladly take a picture with you.\’ When I say that 20 of them turned around and [leave]. Cuz they\’re not there to be fans.\”

Chris mentioned that there are designated places where people can meet wrestlers for autographs. Kevin then explained that they\’re happy to interact with fans, just not at the airports:

\”Even outside of the shows like when people come to the shows and they wait you know where we\’re parked sometimes. Some guys will be happy to go talk to them and sign. I try to do that and some of the guys don\’t and that\’s fine. But yeah, the airport is literally just never the place. We never like it. I guarantee it.\”

Kevin Owens has since clarified his comments saying that genuine fans can still approach him:

  • Eric Bischoff Disputes Bret Hart\’s Claim About Modern Wrestlers

Eric Bischoff has disputed Bret Hart\’s recent claims.

Hulk Hogan had tried to put The Hitman down in an earlier interview by claiming that Hart thought himself to be the greatest wrestler of all time. Bret then turned Hogan\’s remarks against him saying that wrestlers today try to copy his style of wrestling over anything the former face of WWE did during his active years.

Eric Bischoff joined this conversation in an interview with CanadaCasino.ca. The former WCW President who worked with both Bret and Hogan during his time as a wrestling executive disputed the claim, saying that he doesn\’t see anyone trying to recapture the style of the Canadian pro wrestling legend:

“I don\’t see anybody trying to recapture Bret Hart\’s style. Bret Hart was one of the best wrestlers in the ring. Technically Bret was in a category all of his own in terms of what he was able to do in the ring,\”

I Don\’t See Anybody Even Trying: Eric Bischoff

Though Bischoff explained that the reason nobody copies Bret Hart is not because of lack of influence. Per Eric, people are trying to hide their inabilities by doing flashy spots instead of working on their craft:

“I don\’t see anybody coming close to Bret Hart\’s abilities in the ring. I don\’t see anybody even trying. I see the opposite. I see a bunch of people that don\’t have nearly the skill or commitment to develop the skill out there doing a bunch of things to distract from the fact that they don\’t know how to wrestle.”

While Eric Bischoff has claimed that nobody has captured Bret\’s style, there are many modern greats who has been influenced by his work. People like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Edge and FTR are only a few names who consider Hart to be their idol in wrestling.

Bryan Danielson also discussed the possibility of his son following his footsteps and becoming a wrestler. The former champion explained that he would want Buddy to join the business because he wants to and not because he can make money in name of his parents.

The American Dragon gave the example of William Regal, noting how not many people were aware that Charlie Dempsey was his son until very recently. Danielson said that he had to go through a journey to become a good wrestler and he wouldn\’t want to deny the same to his son.
