  • Watch: John Cena Provides Special Introduction For AJ Styles At Crown Jewel: Perth

John Cena had a phenomenal surprise for AJ Styles tonight.

The two old rivals came face to face one last time at the latest Crown Jewel: Perth event from Australia. The TNA original was the first to enter the arena and the Cenation Leader entered second.

As the ring announcer Alicia Taylor was introducing John Cena, the 17-time world champion handed her a handwritten note and asked her to announce it next.

The note turned out to be a special introduction for AJ Styles, featuring a tribute to his storied career. It included mentions to his time in TNA and NJPW as well as WWE:

\”Ladies & Gentleman, The definition of Total Nonstop Action, the Ace and Undisputed Boss of The Bullet Club,

It is our honor as fans, and my honor as an opponent to see if he can beat up John Cena one final time, he is the face that runs the place, The Phenomenal, AJ Styles.\”

The two arch-rivals then went on to deliver a classic match. John Cena continued his tradition of paying tribute to his rivals, busting out moves such as Sister Abigail and RKO during the bout.

In the end, Cena delivered a Tombstone Piledriver to Styles and followed it up with a big Attitude Adjustment for the pin. The two wrestling legends shook hands and shared the hug after the match to conclude the whole thing.

  • Bronson Reed Pins Roman Reigns At Crown Jewel: Perth

A surprising loss for Roman Reigns.

The Tribal Chief opened the 2025 Crown Jewel PPV from Perth, battling against Bronson Reed in an Australian street fight.

The bout saw both the stars using their surroundings to their advantage and using weapons such as tables, chairs and even cricket bats to try and get the upper hand on their opponent.

As expected, Bron Breakker made an appearance towards the ending of the bout, taking out Reigns. The Usos, who had been instructed to stay away from the match by Roman, then came out to help their cousin.

The twin brothers were able to take control of the situation for a while but the Vision eventually got back on top. After taking out the Usos, Bronson Reed brought Reigns back into the ring and he looked to send the Tribal Chief through a table set at the turnbuckle.

Roman tried to fight his opponent and he managed to get free of his hold, only for Jey Uso to inadvertently spear him through the table. Reed then delivered a big Tsunami and pinned the Head of The Table.

Reigns was visibly upset with his cousins after the match and expressed the same to them before leaving disappointed. Jey Uso did not seem to take the criticism lightly, and he was the next to make his exit, leaving Jimmy Uso alone.

This is only the second time Roman Reigns has been pinned in a one-on-one match in the last 5 years, after Cody Rhodes beat him at WrestleMania 40. It\’ll be interesting to see what direction he takes to recover from this loss.

  • Watch: Oba Femi Comes Face To Face With Omos At NXT Event

    Two monsters face to face.

NXT presented its latest Live Event from the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan this Friday night. The show featured names such as Trick Williams, Ricky Saints and MCMG in action.

One of the matches on the card saw Oba Femi taking on Je’Von Evans. Femi picked up the victory over the high-flying star. He couldn\’t celebrate for long, however, as DarkState attacked the former NXT Champion.

It was Omos who made the save for Oba. After sending DarkState packing, the Nigerian Giant came face-to-face with Oba Femi in a surreal moment. The segment ended with Omos laying out the development star:

The former bodyguard of AJ Styles had last wrestled on WWE TV in April last year. While he had made appearances for NOAH and AAA, Omos had not competed under the WWE banner since then.

He finally made his in-ring return for the company during a similar Live Event on Thursday which also featured an unfortunate injury to a current champion.

It\’s unknown what the company is planning for the Nigerian star. His live event return suggests that we might see him back on TV soon. If this latest interaction is any indication, Omos might be getting involved in a big feud upon his comeback.

  • John Cena Set To Face Current Champion At Survivor Series (Report)

John Cena will get the chance to make history again before his retirement.

The Cenation Leader will be competing against AJ Styles at the Crown Jewel Perth PPV today in what is expected to be the last encounter of these old rivals.

The former world champion will have only one more PPV appearance left in his retirement tour after the Australia show, which will be the November 29 Survivor Series PPV from San Diego, California.

There has been a lot of talk about who John Cena will face at this final PLE appearance, and a new report might have revealed the same.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dominik Mysterio is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental Championship against the Peacemaker star at the show.

John made history when he defeated Cody Rhodes to win his 17th world title at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year. The IC title is the only championship he has never won in his long and illustrious career, so it wouldn\’t be a surprise if Cena ends up winning this match to create another record on his way out.

After Crown Jewel, the WWE veteran will have only four more appearances left in his retirement run. He will be making his final Boston appearance as an active performer during the November 10 Raw.

His last New York event will be the November 17 episode of the Red Branded show. Following Survivor Series, Cena will be making his final WWE appearance at Saturday Night\’s Main Event on December 13, for his retirement match.

  • Wes Lee, Lance Anoa’i And More WWE Departures Confirmed

More WWE names have announced departures.

The latest round of WWE cuts started earlier this week when indie star Zayda Steel announced that she will not be renewing her WWE ID contract. Shortly after, Kylie Rae also confirmed that her time with the ID program was coming to an end.

This was followed by news of several more cuts on Friday. The most surprising of these names was Lance Anoa’i, member of the famous Anoa’i family and cousin to names such as Roman Reigns and The Rock.

Lance was signed to a development deal back in November 2024. He had wrestled in several matches for the company as an enhancement talent before his signing, but Anoa’i surprisingly did not compete in any sanctioned matches during his development run.

The 33-year-old took to Twitter to announce the news, noting that he hasn\’t had the best of luck since arriving in the company. Though he confirmed that he won\’t be leaving wrestling and he will be back in the indie circuit when his non compete clause expires in 30 days.

Other names who confirmed their exit from the company as well include WWE LFG and Evolve competitors Jamar Hampton and Drako Knox, as well as Evolve General Manager Stevie Turner.

While not confirmed officially, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting that former NXT North American and Tag Team Champion Wes Lee is also among the names released from the company.

Many of these names have taken to social media to comment on their departure, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity as well as addressing their future. You can check out their posts below:

  • AJ Styles Explains What He\’ll Do After 2026 Retirement

AJ Styles knows his time in the ring is limited.

The WWE star has been vocal about not wanting to wrestle in his 50s. The 48-year-old has reiterated on multiple occasions that he plans to retire before his 50th birthday in 2027.

The Phenomenal One once again addressed the topic during his appearance on WWE Crown Jewel Kickoff show from Australia before SmackDown. He said that he wants to spend more time with family now:

“I’m getting old, folks. Listen, if I could find the fountain of youth and take a couple sips, I’d wrestle for the rest of my life, but I am getting older. The fear of embarrassing myself is getting closer.

You know what? There comes a time in a man’s life when he has to take care of business, but when business is done, it’s time to take care of his family. I need to spend time with my family.\”

AJ Styles explained that he has fulfilled his goals in the business. What\’s left for him is to retire with grace, which he will do in 2026:

\”The whole idea with wrestling and having an amazing future in this business is to be able to retire one day, and in 2026, I will retire.”

The wrestling veteran did not reveal a detailed timetable for his retirement, but reports suggest that his current contract expires sometime before WrestleMania 42. So it\’s possible that we\’ll see his retirement match at the Show of Shows next year.

  • News On Multiple Superstars Getting Old Themes Back On SmackDown

WWE is listening to its superstars about their presentation.

The company presented the latest episode of SmackDown live from Perth, Australia, for International audiences. One of the interesting things on the show was the return of some old theme songs.

The first instance of this was Shinsuke Nakamura reverting to his original theme music. He made his surprise return on the show while answering Sami Zayn\’s US title open challenge.

Later in the night, Street Profits also walked to the ring using their old theme as they challenged the Wyatt Sicks for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

WrestleVotes provided an update on this decision from higher ups, noting that many superstars have been asking for a change to their theme song in recent times:

\”As seen & heard on tonight’s SmackDown, a few superstars reverted back to their original entrance themes. Source indicate several superstars have been requesting music changes for some time now, including outspoken names such as Sheamus & Drew McIntyre. Time will tell if all those requests are eventually granted.\”

It\’s unknown if WWE has more theme song switches in the works but fans have been vocal about their dislike for Def Rebel produced music in recent times.

Both Nakamura and the Street Profits were unsuccessful in their title quests. The Profits lost the bout while Nakamura\’s match ended in DQ after another returning name attacked him during the show. You can check out more about it here.

  • Spoiler: Injured Star Returns to SmackDown After 6 Months

    The MFT is complete again.

Solo Sikoa had been hyping a change to his group the last few weeks on WWE programming. It was finally revealed on this week\’s episode of SmackDown that came live from Australia for international audience.

Shinsuke Nakamura first made his surprise return to answer Sami Zayn\’s US title open challenge. The Japanese star almost won the match with a Kinshasa but the defending champion somehow remained in the match.

A hooded figure then showed up at the ringside and sent Nakamura over the barricade. He got into the ring and attacked Sami. Removing the hood, the figure revealed himself to be none other than a returning Tama Tonga.

Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga then came out. They first surrounded the ring and then went on to deliver a beating to both Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura before the group\’s leader Solo Sikoa strolled into the arena and posed with their bodies to end the segment.

Tama Tonga had been out of action since before WrestleMania 41 due to an undisclosed injury. He was written off TV during the April 18 episode of SmackDown with an attack from LA Knight.

Sami had beat Sikoa to win the US championship during the August 29 episode of the Blue Branded show. After today\’s attack, it seems this rivalry is not ending anytime soon.

  • NXT Champion Potentially Injured During Live Event

A current NXT Champion might have suffered a live event injury.

The development brand held a live event in KEMBA Live! in Columbus, Ohio, this Thursday night, featuring names such as DIY, Trick Williams, and Candice LaRae in action. One of the matches on the card saw the current NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne teaming with her Fatal Influence partner Fallon Henley to take on the duo of Sol Ruca and Zaria.

According to fans in attendance, Jayne grabbed her quad towards the ending of the bout and tagged out of the match. Ruca and Zaria then picked up the victory in the bout. After the bell, the referee threw up the X sign, indicating a legitimate injury, and the NXT Champion had to be helped to the back by the medical staff.

The same show also featured the WWE in-ring return of Omos after more than a year. He defeated Lexis King in a singles match at the show. The Giant had not competed under the WWE banner since the April 5, 2024 episode of SmackDown where he was part of the Andre The Giant memorial battle royal.

Not much is known about Jayne\’s status at the moment so it\’s hard to say if she\’ll be missing any time from the ring or what the future holds for the Women\’s title.

SEScoops wishes a speedy recovery to Jacy Jayne.

  • Roman Reigns Provides Unfavorable Health Update Ahead of Crown Jewel Perth

Roman Reigns is not feeling so good.

The 40-year-old has not wrestled in a match since the Clash In Paris PPV back in early August. He has been busy in the meantime, however, filming his part in the upcoming Street Fighter movie in Australia.

The Tribal Chief appeared on the Pat McAfee show this week to promote his upcoming return to the ring for this weekend\’s Crown Jewel PPV.

During the appearance, Roman Reigns talked about his physical health. The former World Champion claimed that he\’s feeling like crap because of all the travel he has been doing in recent weeks:

“I feel like crap. My body does not feel good. I was down there [in Australia to film Street Fighter] not too long ago. The flight back and forth has not been nice. I’ve been jet-lagged for, I feel like, four weeks in a row now.

So why not just go down there and try to kill myself? It is what it is. We’re going to go head against the wall—Goldberg style—just reckless abandon. You can’t do much worse than I feel now so let’s just go mess it up physically.”

Roman Reigns will be facing Bronson Reed in a rematch of their Clash In Paris encounter at the PPV from Perth, Australia, this Saturday. The show will have a special start time of 8 AM in the USA.

The Head of the Table was victorious in their last encounter, but Bronson Reed will have the advantage heading into this bout. Not only will he have the support of the audience from his home country, but the Street Fight stipulation will also favor the Monster Sized Athlete.

Former WWE Champion Signed New Contract This Year (Report)

  • Dolph Ziggler Was Ready To Quit WWE After Infamous Goldberg Match

Dolph Ziggler wanted to leave WWE much earlier.

The former WWE star, now going by the name Nic Nemeth, recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as his time in WWE, why he chose to join TNA instead of AEW after leaving the promotion, and more.

During the interview, the former World Champion also talked about his infamous match with Goldberg from SummerSlam 2019. Ziggler revealed that originally, he was supposed to get no offence in the bout, and the WCW legend was going to win within seconds of the bell. Upon learning the finish, Dolph went to Vince McMahon and told him that he wanted to quit the company:

\”I said ‘Vince, why am I in this match when anybody could take a Spear and a Jackhammer?’ What’s the point of Ding, ding, ding, Spear, Jackhammer? I go, a local could do it, anybody could do it. And he was like, ‘Well, I don’t know what he can do with you.’

I go, ‘If I can’t be in this match doing something, then I have to leave this company right now.’ And I’m not kidding, if this is purely for someone a scarecrow, to take a spear and a jackhammer, I don’t want to work here. \”

I Would Not Be Allowed: Dolph Ziggler

The match ultimately saw Dolph Ziggler surprise Goldberg with a couple of superkicks before losing the bout as originally planned. The Show-off would continue mocking the wrestling veteran after the bell and would end up eating two more spears before the whole thing ended.

The current TNA star would put over The Miz in a singles match the next night on Raw. Per Ziggler, it was actually supposed to be his last match in the company but the officials went back on their word:

\”I was like, oh yeah, you know what? Damn it. Goldberg on Sunday, and that Monday, I wrestle Miz with my career on the line, and he beats me. I wanted to make sure he tapped me out with his version of the figure four, but some version of that to like I’m helping my friend on the way out.

I’m giving his figure four the best sell that he’ll ever have. So that gets passed on to him. And I lost on Sunday to Goldberg, I’ll lose there to Mike, and then I was out of the company and on a handshake deal, I was out. And that day I was told that I would not be allowed to be out.”

Dolph Ziggler would stay with the company for 4 more years before finally being let go in September 2023. The 45-year-old noted during the interview that he timed his request for a release with the looming sale of the company and he believes it’s the reason he was finally allowed to leave.

  • Former WWE Champion Signed New Contract This Year (Report)

    Another WWE contract update.

There has been a lot of chatter about WWE contracts in recent weeks. It started with Santos Escobar reportedly exiting after being lowballed by the company, only to re-sign with them days later.

Xavier Woods then took to X yesterday to confirm the reports that he had signed a new deal with the organization that will keep him around for years to come.

Now Fightful Select has provided another contract update, this time for Woods\’ New Day partner. According to them, Kofi Kingston already signed a new deal with the company sometime earlier this year.

The report reveals that the new deal is for five years, which means the former WWE champion will be staying with the company till 2030.

Joining the promotion as a development talent in 2006, Kofi Kingston is one of the company\’s longest tenured full-time talents on the current roster.

Apart from a world title run in 2019, the 44-year-old has won over two dozen titles in WWE. This includes a record 16 tag team championship reigns with names such as CM Punk and R-Truth, apart from his partners in the New Day.

Kingston would be 49 when his new deal expires, which means we\’ll likely see him ending his career with the Endeavor-owned promotion.

  • Spoiler: Top AEW Star Stretchered Out of Collision Taping

Another top AEW star has seemingly suffered an injury.

The company taped this week\’s episode of Collision from Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday night, after a special episode of Dynamite aired on Tuesday this week.

One of the matches on the show was Kota Ibushi facing Josh Alexander in a singles bout, which ended abruptly due to the former seemingly suffering an injury.

According to people in attendance, Ibushi slipped off the top and fell to the outside. His exact injury is unknown but it\’s believed that his leg gave out.

    pic.twitter.com/vsZUxbahU3

    — Turnbuckle Telegram (@TurnbuckleTG) October 9, 2025

The officials then called an audible and ended the match with a countout, giving Alexander the victory. The lights were dimmed after the bell and the Japanese star was stretchered out of the arena.

Tony Khan later came out to address the crowd. He talked about how professional wrestling is one of the hardest-hitting sports and led the fans into applause for the former IWGP World Champion.

This is an unfortunate development for Kota Ibushi who only returned to action in June this year, after more than 2 years away from the ring. He had been wrestling regularly for the promotion ever since, and had also reunited with his Golden Lovers partner Kenny Omega.

  • Karrion Kross Reveals Weird Backstage Interaction After Famous WrestleMania Promo

Karrion Kross has revealed a weird talent relations interaction in WWE.

The former WWE star and his wife, Scarlett, recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. They talked about things such as their contract negotiations before leaving the company, working with Final Testament and more.

During the interview, the former NXT champion also discussed the infamous worked-shoot promo that went viral around the WrestleMania 41 weekend.

Kross revealed some previously unknown details about how the people within the company reacted to the promo, mentioning that someone from talent relations reached out to him the night after:

\”I get a phone call from somebody in talent relations, and he says, ‘Creative is not happy. There’s heat. They’re pissed.’

I was like, Well, I apologize about that. Let me go take care of that right now. I have a great relationship with them. They’re right across the hall. He’s like uh, I said, ‘No, no, dude, this is my fault. Let me take care of it. No problem.’\”

    What\’s Going On?: Karrion Kross

Not wanting to be on bad terms with the creative, Karrion Kross talked to writers in person. Things got weird, however, when the writers denied being mad about the whole thing and the wrestling star eventually learned that it was Triple H who was unhappy:

\”I go across the hall. I speak to some of the writers, explain everything. They’re like, ‘We have no idea what you’re talking about. We haven’t talked to that guy in two weeks.’ Some of them didn’t even see it. So I was like, What’s going on here?

So I walk around the building and just looking at everything, everyone’s saying, Hello, everything feels fine. I call him back, no answer. The next day, no answer. I think it was like the third day he finally picked up. He’s like, ‘Yeah, I shouldn’t have said it that way. I apologize; it was actually Hunter.’ \”

Karrion Kross revealed that the person never spoke to Triple H to clear his standing. The former champion did eventually get to talk to the WWE Executive and cleared the air on the viral promo. According to Kross, The Game understood where he was coming from and was cool about the whole thing.

  • Kurt Angle Reveals How The Rock Treated Him Early In His Career

Kurt Angle has explained how The Rock helped his career.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated. He talked about things such as making a movie about his life, his start in WWE and more.

During the talk, the former world champion was asked if he had any stories he wanted to share about The Rock. Kurt Angle said that he can\’t remember a story but he remembers The Hollywood star being very generous during their interactions:

\”Rock and I had such a blast. I don\’t have any stories, but the cool thing about him is he was really giving. I was an Olympic Gold medallist. It wasn\’t like I was a nobody coming into WWE.

But when you go in there and you go in there with an ego, you\’re going to get in trouble very quickly. So I never had that ego. I always felt that these stars that I was going to wrestle like the Rock and Stone Cold, I put them at a higher level above me.\”

    You\’re With Us: Kurt Angle

The wrestling veteran explained that The Rock always treated him as an equal despite his limited experience in the business. Kurt Angle also recalled pinning The Great One to win his first world title in the company:

\”But Dwayne always brought me up to that level and said, \’Hey, you\’re with us, you\’re up here with us, you\’re not down there with the rest.\’ So, he was always very generous with the way he wrestled.

He allowed….he was my first world championship match where I won the world championship. He didn\’t have to say yes, but he did. So I\’m just very grateful. I think the Rock has done so much for my career.\”

  • Kurt Angle Reveals Upcoming Movie Based On His Life

Kurt Angle is making a movie about his life.

The Olympic Gold Medallist recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated. He talked about things such as his start in wrestling, how The Rock treated him early in his career and more.

During the interview, the former World Champion also discussed the Smashing Machine movie based on the life of his former rival Mark Kerr. When asked if we\’ll ever see his own life story being shown on the big screen like that, Kurt Angle revealed that he\’s actually working on a movie based on his life:

\”Yeah, you know what, we are working on that movie. I have the directors Ian and Eshom Nelms, they\’re brothers.

They were former wrestlers in high school and college. So they understand my sport. We\’ve been talking to each other. We\’re almost done with the script.\”

Before We Do Anything: Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle did not reveal which periods of his life the movie will cover. He explained that the project is in the pre-production stage right now, and they want to perfect the script before doing anything else:

“We already got the investors. So we\’re in a good position right now, but we\’re gonna make sure the script\’s perfected before we do anything, before we pick the cast and everything like that.

So we\’re taking our time and knowing the Smashing Machine just came out. It might be a good time to breathe a little bit, let that movie digest, and then continue on.

But yeah, the crazy thing is, ironically, Mark Kerr and I are doing a movie, and we wrestled each other for the Olympic team, and it\’s just really ironic that his story\’s coming out close to mine.\”

  • Watch: Matt Cardona, Mike Santana And More TNA Stars Invade NXT

    TNA has invaded NXT.

An invasion angle had been teased last week when WWE announced a winner-takes-all match between TNA Champion Trick Williams and NXT Champion Oba Femi for this week\’s episode of the development show.

TNA stars started showing up in the crowd as the double title main event progressed. Names such as Eric Young, Frankie Kazarian, Steve Maclin, Jessie McKay, and Cassie Lee were all shown during the bout. The appearance of Matt Cardona especially got a big pop from the crowd.

Mike Santana joined the commentary halfway through this bout. The action went outside the ring towards the ending of the show as Femi delivered a big clothesline to his opponent.

    TNA Invades NXT

Trick sent the NXT champion crashing through the steel steps before turning his attention towards the announce table. The TNA champion made the first move when he slapped Mike Santana and then all hell broke loose.

The TNA stars crowded the ring as NXT roster started emptying as well and a brawl broke out. Ricky Saints was the last to come out, though he didn\’t join the fight.

Saints instead went around the ring where the NXT title had been placed and tried to pick it up. Oba Femi however, stopped him from doing so and the broadcast ended with the two No Mercy opponents staring each other.

Shawn Michaels later posted a video of himself reacting to the whole thing in the Gorilla and warning TNA roster that this was not over. The Anthem-owned promotion will be holding the Victory Road PPV on September 26 and it\’s likely that some NXT stars will show up as a response to tonight\’s angle.

  • WrestlePalooza Rematch And More Announced For Raw Next Week

Multiple big matches have been announced for next week\’s episode of Raw.

After Finn Balor refused to help Dominik Mysterio due to their confrontation last week, JD McDonagh reluctantly agreed to help the IC Champion in dealing with his \’Rusev problem\’ on this week\’s Raw. This resulted in a match between JD and Rusev.

Dom tried to interfere in this bout but the referee warned him off, and the Bulgarian Brute picked up the victory with the Accolade. Rusev continued pushing on even after the bell rang, and Dom stayed frozen at the ringside until Finn Balor came out to make the save.

Balor then yelled at Mysterio for not helping JD. After this it was announced that Rusev will be challenging Dominik for the IC Title on Raw next week.

Jey Uso also made an appearance on tonight\’s show after a concerning spot during the WrestlePalooza PPV. The former world champion showed a more intense side of him while interacting with his brother Jimmy Uso and Cody Rhodes backstage.

The Yeet Man went on to pick up a singles victory over LA Knight later in the show, thanks to some interference from Bron ‘n Bron Connection. Jimmy Uso showed up after the bell, trying to get his brother to help Knight fight the duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

After Jey refused to get back in the ring, Jimmy picked up a chair and fought off the heels on his own. It was later announced that The Usos will face Bron ‘n Bron Connection in a WrestlePalooza rematch at Raw next week.

Apart from this, a singles match between Bayley and Raquel Rodriguez, and a tag team bout where AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will face two of the three El Grande Americanos, has also been confirmed for the September 29 show.

  • Watch: Trailer For New Braun Strowman Series Set To Air After SmackDown

The trailer for a new Braun Strowman show is here.

The show dubbed Everything On The Menu was originally announced back in May, only days after The Monster Among Men was released from his WWE contract.

The official YouTube channel of USA Network finally dropped the trailer for the series this week. It features Braun Strowman touring around the country to try different restaurants and ordering everything that\’s available on the menu.

The trailer features some footage of the former Universal Champion\’s time in WWE. It notes that the show will start airing every week after SmackDown, starting October 24:

Braun Strowman\’s second run with WWE came to an abrupt end when the company informed him that his contract will not be renewed in May this year.

The former Wyatt Family member had rejoined the promotion back in September, 2022. His second run with the company was riddled with injury and he did not win any titles during this time. He did have a notable feud with Bronson Reed which ended with Braun picking up the victory.

The former World Champion has been working on various projects since his WWE departure. He unfortunately suffered an injury earlier this month which required surgery. You can check out more details of the same here.

  • Backstage Reason Behind Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre Main Eventing WrestlePalooza

The WrestlePalooza match order was not based on what fans wanted.

There had been a lot of discussion on which match will main event the first WWE PPV on ESPN. A lot of people believed that Brock Lesnar\’s in-ring return featuring one of John Cena\’s final wrestling appearances should close the show.

Fans complained about the match order after the event as well. Many online believed that AJ Lee\’s return bout would have been a better choice over the Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre match, if Lesnar and Cena were not main eventing.

Fightful Select provided some update on this situation and they noted that match between the Beast Incarnate and the Cenation Leader was indeed slated as the main event of the show at one point.

While the bout ended up being the opening match of the night, the site noted that the change was not dictated by Lesnar despite the fact that Brock does like to leave the arena early if he can.

As for the reason behind the Undisputed WWE championship match going last over other contenders, the report says it was done because ESPN officials wanted a bout with the \’pomp and circumstance\’ of a big title defence headlining the show.

Though the rumors of this match being a last-minute addition to the card are untrue as WWE knew all along that Cody Rhodes will complete his Street Fighter filming schedule before the PPV and that he will be available to compete at the show.

The American Nightmare managed to beat Drew McIntyre to retain his title at the show. He couldn\’t celebrate for long, however, as his next opponent found him during the WrestlePalooza post show. You can check out more about it here.

  • Hangman Page Asked About AEW Locker Room Reaction To WWE Counter Programming

Hangman Page says they don\’t care about the competition.

The AEW World Champion took part in the All Out-post show after defeating Kyle Fletcher in the main event of the PPV. He talked about things such as the pressure of being the champion, if Fletcher is ready for the main event, and more.

When asked about how the locker room feels about WWE counter-programming AEW PPVs, Page claimed that people within the promotion are focused on putting on the best show possible:

“The assumption would be it’s what we’re talking about, what we’re worried about it, but the honest truth is that it’s not. It’s something that we see coming,

When it does happen, it’s like, OK, yeah, I figured. We’re so focused on what we do here, we’ve got how many people here today? Over 13,000 people in the building today to see us.

We’ve got, God knows, hundred, two hundred, three hundred, I don’t know how many people who buy PPV, all those people buy those PPVs, they are here to watch us, that’s what we’re focused on.”

Adam Page has recently been referring to himself as the AEW Men\’s World Champion and there have been questions on if the company will officially rename the belt to reflect this change.

  • Triple H Says More Talent From Rival Promotion Have Contacted Him For WWE Return

Triple H says more and more talent want to return home.

With WWE\’s recent increase in popularity, many former talents have made their return to the company. The list includes current wrestlers such as Aleister Black or Rusev, who worked for other promotions since leaving the company, as well as legends such as Nikki Bella and AJ Lee who took a break from wrestling altogether when they stepped away from the organization.

During his appearance on the WrestlePalooza pre-show, Triple H talked about the recent influx of talents. The WWE Creative Head claimed that there are even more people who want to make the move, and he gets messages from them every day:

“There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t get a text or a voicemail from somebody saying either, ‘I want to come home,’

Or ‘I’ve never been there, is there an opportunity for me there? I’m overseas right now. I have this time left on my deal. Hey, I would love to explore WWE and come into the Performance Center. NXT, whatever that is.’\”

While Triple H did not name anyone in particular, one big wrestler that has recently been rumored for a potential comeback is former AEW Champion Chris Jericho.

The wrestling veteran has not appeared on AEW TV in a while and reports suggest his current contract is set to expire sometimes soon. You can check out what Jericho himself said about these rumors here.

  • Tony Khan Comments On Potentially Changing Name of AEW World Title

Tony Khan has been asked about a potential change to the AEW World Title.

When the titles for the male and female divisions share a name in the wrestling world, it\’s usually the latter that is referenced as the Women\’s Championship. In recent weeks however, Hangman Adam Page has been referring himself as the Men\’s AEW World Champion.

During his appearance on the All Out post-show, Tony Khan was asked about this and whether there is a possibility of them officially renaming the belt as the Men\’s title. The AEW President said that he supports Page making the distinction, and that he\’ll continue to be referenced as the same during his reign:

“It’s gotten great traction, it’s something to consider, for the official record keeping, it’s as it has been, but for Hangman, for his graphics, for describing what it is, that’s something that is important to him and if that’s something that he believes in, and that’s his authentic self and that’s how he wants the title presented,

That’s something I support and believe in. I think it works great both ways so it’s a great question but definitely with Hangman as the World Champion, he asked me about that, with Hangman Page for the foreseeable future is the World Champion, no end in sight, it is the Men’s World Championship right now.”

Hangman Page defended his World title against Kyle Fletcher at All Out. With the Don Callis Family being banned from the ringside, the defending champion picked up a clean victory in this main event.

It\’s unknown what the company is planning for the Cowboy next but we should get an idea about his next challenger on Dynamite this week.

  • Triple H Reveals Secret Behind Stephanie Vaquer\’s Recent Absence

Triple H has explained the reason for the odd build to a WrestlePalooza match.

The Game made an appearance on the WrestlePalooza post-show. He talked about things such as AJ Lee\’s return to the ring, surprising Stephanie McMahon with the announcement of her HOF induction, and more.

While talking about Stephanie Vaquer\’s performance at the PPV, Triple H revealed some behind-the-scene details about her recent absence. He mentioned that the female star had been very sick the past few weeks and it was the reason for the odd build to her match with IYO SKY at the PPV:

\”I\’ll let everybody in on a behind-the-scenes secret to Stephanie. In the last few weeks, Stephanie has been very sick. she had a, I don\’t know the details of what the flu type thing going on, but she was very sick. It was why she missed the TV; it was why there was some odd build to it.

And she was able to feel well enough and get cleared medically to compete tonight. So for her to be able to do that against IYO, who I consider one of the greatest women of all time in this industry, for her to have a win like that tonight to become the women\’s world champion is incredible.\”

Stephanie Vauqer faced IYO SKY for the Women\’s title that was vacated by Naomi who recently revealed her pregnancy. Vaquer won the bout to win her first championship in the main roster.

Though the new champion has no time to rest. WWE has already announced her next challenge for the Crown Jewel: Perth event next month. You can check out more about it here.

Lee, who originally retired from wrestling back in 2015 was asked how she felt competing in her first match in 10 years. The wrestling veteran said that the whole thing felt surreal:

“The match? It felt amazing, it was really surreal. It’s been a minute. Everything hurts way more than I remember, but that was a lot of fun. “

They Deserve It Even More: AJ Lee

CM Punk has talked a lot about the changes in WWE locker room culture since his return to the company in 2023. When asked if she has felt the same in the short time since her return earlier this month, AJ Lee replied positively:

\”Definitely. I mean, everyone was so welcoming and so kind and so complimentary in a way that made me feel like, \’Oh, I did something and that it meant something to these wonderfully talented women.\’

To be any tiny piece of their journey is so humbling. I\’m so proud of them like a mama, and they\’re wonderful. I just, I\’m happy to be in their presence in the locker room.

The evolution of the women has been the most beautiful thing I\’ve ever seen. They deserved it 10 years ago; they deserve it now. They deserve even more in the next 10 years.\”
