  • Bayley Poses With Top AEW Champion

    Bayley is friends with everyone!

The WWE star is always praised by her peers for being one of the best people behind the scenes. It appears this reputation extends beyond just the WWE locker room.

The former Women\’s Champion recently posted a group of photos on Instagram showcasing how October went for her. The pics showed her doing things such as hanging out with CM Punk in Australia during the Crown Jewel 2025 tour, reading Natalya\’s new book and more.

The most interesting capture of the bunch, however, was a photo where she can be seen hugging none other than the current AEW Women\’s Champion Kris Statlander:

Bayley is good friends with current AEW star Mercedes Mone, and she is known to visit wrestling shows to support the TBS Champion in her post-WWE career. So it\’s not a surprise that she knows members of the AEW roster as well.

Statlander has actually been working with Mone in a program recently, and the two are set to face each other at next month\’s Full Gear PPV as well.

Bayley on the other hand has been involved in a storyline with Lyra Valkyria. The two challenged Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the Women\’s Tag Team Titles on Raw this week but they were unsuccessful in their quest.

  • World Title Match And More Confirmed For AEW Full Gear 2025

AEW has added two new championship matches to Full Gear.

The October 29 episode of Dynamite featured a #1 contender fatal four way tag match to determine the challengers for the tag team titles at the PPV.

The Young Bucks, FTR, Jurassic Express, and JetSpeed competed in this bout. The ending of the fight saw Kevin Knight delivering a big UFO splash on Nick Jackson. Before he could get the pin, however, FTR swooped in and delivered a Shatter Machine on Knight for the win.

A similar fatal four-way took place later in the show to determine the challenger for Hangman Page\’s AEW World title. Samoa Joe, HOOK, Bobby Lashley, and Ricochet were the participants of this bout.

The ending saw Lashley chasing Ricochet up the ramp, allowing Joe to lock HOOK in the Coquina Clutch for the victory. Though Samoa Joe couldn\’t celebrate for long as Adam Page, disguised as Tony Schiavone attacked him after the bout.

  • Tyler Breeze Says The Fashion Police Gimmick Was Killed By Accident

Tyler Breeze believes one of his most popular gimmicks was killed by accident.

Prince Pretty was recently a guest on In The Weeds podcast. Among other things, he told the origin story of the Fashion Files skits with his former partner Fandango, that became widely popular at one point before being pulled off the air abruptly.

According to the former NXT star, the gimmick was not something that was pitched by writers. The whole thing was born out of the duo\’s desire to do something to get back on TV. They used spare cameras available in the social media department to film some early vignettes they released online.

Fandango and Breeze got their wish as the duo were put back on SmackDown when the skits went viral. Though, despite the big numbers on social media, Vince McMahon was seemingly never a fan of the whole thing:

\”To this day, I think it got cancelled by accident because there was a pay-per-view coming up, and we weren’t booked on it, but they had a Fashion Files. So Vince said, ‘Why do we have one?

Like, why are we doing this? Because they don’t have a match on the pay-per-view, so why are we doing it?’\”

That Was The End Of It: Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze explained that it was the SmackDown head writer at the time who put them on the show. McMahon originally questioned their presence on the episode, but decided to keep the skits going upon learning that it was their best-performing social media video of the week.

After the incident of the PPV, however, the members of the creative team freaked out. They misinterpreted the boss\’ directions and killed the whole thing:

\”And I think all the writers freaked out, and they went, oh God, he hates it. Never do it again. Then we never did another one after that. And that was the end of it.

And I was pretty sure it was just a mistake. I’m pretty sure he just said don’t do it before a pay-per-view where they’re not wrestling.\”

Overall, the Fashion Police gimmick lasted about eight months before being retired quietly. You can check out their first SmackDown vignette below:

  • Jey Uso Believes He And Roman Reigns Are \’Equals Now\’

Jey Uso has commented on the relationship between him and Roman Reigns.

The Yeet Man has been showing a more serious side of him in recent weeks. The former world champion seems to be drifting away from his brother Jimmy more and more in pursuit of reclaiming his \’Main Event\’ status.

At the same time, fans have found him acting more like The Head of The Table as Jey tries to prove that he can stand among the other main eventers on his own.

The 40-year-old talked about his complicated relationship with his multi-time world champion cousin during the latest Raw recap. Fresh off his confrontation with CM Punk, Jey Uso claimed that Roman Reigns sees him as his equal now:

“He see me now, you know what I’m saying, Uce, we equals now, you know, he did teach me the game, man. I was a student to him, I sat under the learning tree all of COVID.

I was there. Like front row, man. I had my ticket, just learning the game, man, learning from Big Uce, learning from The Wiseman.\”

Still My Tribal Chief: Jey Uso

Though despite his ambitions, Jey Uso doesn\’t seem to be challenging the Big Dog\’s Status in their Family. He proclaimed that Roman remains the one and only Tribal Chief for him:

“Me and Roman got a love-hate relationship, like y’all can tell, man, but respect between us is there now. So, he’s still big uce, he’s still my Tribal Chief, man. There’ll never be another Tribal Chief to Jey Uso but Roman Reigns.”

Jey Uso will get the chance to prove himself when he faces CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Title at Saturday Night\’s Main Event on November 1. It\’d be interesting to see how his character evolves if he fails to capture the belt.

  • Drew McIntyre Reveals Terrible Gimmick Pitched To Him In First Run

Drew McIntyre\’s first WWE run could have looked very different.

The former World Champion recently appeared on the No Contest Wrestling podcast. He talked about things such as his upcoming Saturday Night\’s Main Event match with Cody Rhodes, having a world title run during the pandemic and more.

During the talk, McIntyre was also asked about his \’Chosen One\’ gimmick and if the company had any other plans for him before that. Drew revealed that there were multiple ideas floated around. One of them was for the Scottish star to debut as \’The Runway Man\’, pitched by the then talent relations head John Laurinaitis:

\”I was listening to him describe the character and thought, ‘oh no, oh no, oh no.’ Then he went ‘the name, the Runway Man, you’re going to have your own model runway and you’re going to walk down like a model.’ And you’re like, oh my goodness.

I was picturing in my head, basically all my dreams were going to hell. The life’s work of a Scotsman, it was all going down the toilet.\”

I Think He Read Me: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre originally made his WWE debut in October 2007. He wrestled a few matches on the main roster before being sent down to FCW. The wrestling veteran reappeared on SmackDown a couple years later in August 2009. A month later, then WWE Chairman Vince McMahon promoted him on-screen as a future main eventer, which was the origin of his Chosen One gimmick.

Explaining how he managed to avoid becoming The Runway Man instead, McIntyre claimed that Mr. McMahon had seen the trepidation on his face when they went in to pitch the gimmick:

\”The next meeting after Johnny was to go to Vince himself and pitch this idea, and I kind of sat silent and Johnny pitched it to Vince, and I think Vince saw my face the whole time.

He just said, ‘what do you think?’ (I was like) ‘Whatever you need me to do; I’ll make it work.’ But I had my head down the whole time. and I think he read me like he doesn’t want to do this.\”

Apart from this, Drew McIntyre discussed being released from WWE in 2014 and revealed what he was planning before the company brought him back in 2017. You can check out his remarks here.

  • Drew McIntyre Reveals What He Was Planning Before 2017 WWE Return

Drew McIntyre was ready to go to Japan before his 2017 WWE return.

The Scottish Psychopath recently appeared on the No Contest Wrestling podcast. He talked about things such as his WWE debut as The Chosen One, winning the tag team titles with Cody Rhodes during his first run with the company and more.

The former World Champion also talked about his time away from WWE between 2014 to 2017. Drew McIntyre revealed that after ending his 2-year long TNA stint, he was ready to make the move to NJPW. A conversation with William Regal, however, changed his direction:

“In 2017, when I returned to WWE, I was ready to go to New Japan at that point. That’s where my head was at. I spoke to the right people to start having the serious conversations,

And Regal told me ‘You’ve got to talk to him, talk to Hunter first, go talk to Paul first’, and it was one minute into the conversation, I knew it was time to come back.”

As things stand, Drew McIntyre has wrestled for promotions such as ICW, PWG and more, but he has never made an appearance for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Since returning to WWE in 2017, Drew McIntyre has had multiple world title runs. He\’ll get the chance to extend this record further this weekend when he challenges Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed title at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. You can check out the updated card for the show here.

  • Chelsea Green Signed Lengthy WWE Contract This Year (Report)

Chelsea Green is not going anywhere anytime soon.

The former Women\’s US Champion has been a featured face on WWE TV in recent times and a mainstay of the women\’s mid-card title picture.

Fightful Select recently provided an update on her contractual status with the company, confirming that the Canadian star signed a new contract with the organization this year.

Chelsea had signed a three-year deal with the promotion towards the end of 2022, before making her surprise return during the 2023 Women\’s Royal Rumble.

The contract would have originally expired towards the end of this year, but the officials approached her about an extension well in advance.

According to the report, Chelsea Green officially signed a new contract back in January this year. This new deal is of 5 years in length and it will keep the former Knockouts champion with the company atleast until 2030.

This extension was signed very differently from the company\’s recent approach, where stars such as Karrion Kross and Santos Escobar have been offered underwhelming deals with very little time for consideration.

Kross ended up leaving the company in August this year after being given only 24 hours to sign the new deal, while Escobar signed a new contract this month, when he was offered a better deal a day after his original one expired.

  • Wrestling Legend Blue Demon Jr Stable After Car Accident

Wrestling legend Blue Demon Jr. is in stable condition following an unfortunate car accident earlier this week.

International Wrestling Revolution Group was first to reveal the news. The 59-year-old was originally expected to compete at their October 30th Castle of Terror event.

Blue Jr. was scheduled to compete in a casket match for the promotion\’s World Heavyweight Championship. The company announced on Facebook, however, that the Mexican star will be missing the show due to a car accident.

The representatives of the wrestling veteran provided an update on his health through his official Instagram page after this revelation. They noted that Blue Demon Jr. was involved in a car accident on Monday evening.

Fortunately for the fans, the update confirmed that the former NWA champion is stable and out of danger. He remains in intensive therapy at the moment:

Making his wrestling debut in 1985, Blue Demon Jr. has wrestled for many notable promotions during his long and illustrious wrestling career.

He became the first Mexican wrestler as well as the first masked luchador to win the NWA World Title when he defeated current Raw General Manager Adam Pearce for the championship back in October 2008.

The masked star has reduced his workload in recent times but he continues to be active in the indie circuit across Mexico.

SEScoops wishes a speedy recovery to Blue Demon Jr.

  • NXT Title Relinquished, Tournament Announced

Sol Ruca has lost both her titles in just a few days.

The NXT star who held both the Women\’s North American Title and Women\’s Speed Title has been out of action for a few weeks due to an undisclosed injury.

Ruca had allowed her tag team partner Zaria to step in and defend the NA title against Blake Monroe at the Halloween Havoc event this past weekend due to her health issues.

The decision, unfortunately, backfired for the high-flying star. Zaria ended up losing her title at the PPV, and the loss seems to have driven a wedge between the two.

    Sol Ruca Relinquishes Speed Title

On this week\’s episode of NXT, Ava caught up with Sol Ruca and Zaria backstage. She told the Women\’s Speed Champion that she wanted her to focus on her recovery but also emphasized that there was no set date for her return to the ring.

When Ava asked if Ruca wanted someone to defend the Speed title for her too, Sol simply decided to relinquish the championship instead, leading to a frustrated Zaria walking out of the frame.

The NXT GM then announced that a tournament to crown the new champion will begin next week, though the participants of it have not been revealed.

Not many details are available about Sol Ruca\’s injury, so it\’s hard to say how long she will be out of action. In a recent social media post she had said that she was doing everything possible to be back in time for the December 6 Deadline PLE.

  • Mickie James Reveals How She Sneaked Her Real Name Past Vince McMahon On WWE Debut

Mickie James has revealed how she was able to keep her real name in WWE.

The wrestling veteran recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. She talked about things such as her first WWE run getting cut short, the infamous Piggy James storyline with LayCool and more.

During the interview, Mickie James also told the story of how she was able to keep her real name upon her main roster debut back in October 2005. The former Divas Champion mentioned that her development name was Alexis Laree but Vince McMahon did not like the moniker:

“I was Alexis Laree in OVW. I just love the name Alexis and Laree is my legit middle name, so that’s how that name came about.

But I’m about to debut this crazy stalker character, and Vince is like, ‘What’s her name? Alexis Laree? I don’t like that name. It sounds like a stripper name.’ And I’m like, Oh, guess it does, doesn’t it? Yeah, okay.\”

How Grateful I Am For That: Mickie James

When Mr. McMahon asked her for an alternative to the OVW name, Mickie James ended up pitching her own name. This led to the wrestling legend becoming one of the few people on the roster who was using her real identity on TV:

\”He’s like, ‘Well, got anything else? Got any other names?’ And I was like, ‘Uh, Mickie James?’ [He said] ‘I love it.’ I didn’t say, Oh, it’s my real name. I was like, oh, okay, great.

So I was able, and probably one of the last few people, to actually be able to use their real name. I was able to use my real name. Wow, crazy. And how grateful I am for that.”

Mickie James also dived deep into her debut storyline with Trish Stratus. Originally debuting as a super fan of Stratus, James slowly turned into a stalker, leading to a big match at WrestleMania 22. You can check out what she said about a controversial gesture that happened during this bout here.

  • Mickie James Reveals Vince McMahon Reaction To Infamous WrestleMania 22 Spot

Mickie James believes in asking for forgiveness rather than permission.

The wrestling legend recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. She talked about things such as getting to use her real name in WWE, being inducted in TNA Hall of Fame, and more.

During the interview, Mickie discussed her famous feud with Trish Stratus and their WrestleMania 22 match. The former Women\’s Champion dived deep into the story behind her infamous gesture during the bout that has since been deleted from WWE history. James revealed that she had gotten permission for only part of it through their agent:

\”Steve Keirn was our agent. I had asked Steve Keirn, ‘Can I lick my finger?’ Clearly, that’s not what I did. He was like, ‘Lick your finger?’ I was like, Well, yeah, I mean, I’m grabbing, wouldn’t I?

I’ve been trying to get my hands on her, you know, forever. This would be my dream come true, right? And he’s like, ‘I will see.’ I went away, and he comes back, and he goes, ‘Yeah, okay, I think you can lick your fingers.’ Fine, whatever. Sorry, Steve Keirn.\”

I Had Never Received A High Five: Mickie James

Mickie James was placed in a storyline with Trish Stratus upon her main roster debut in October 2005. Originally posing as Trish\’s biggest fan, James soon turned into an obsessed stalker. During their WrestleMania 22 Women\’s title match, Mickie grabbed Stratus\’ crotch during a spot and then proceeded to lick her finger.

The TNA Hall of Famer thought that the gesture would earn her a high five from Vince McMahon, who had never praised her performance like that before. The former WWE Chairman, however, was not as enthusiastic, and James actually was scolded by Mr. McMahon:

\”I thought in my heart and in my soul, I honestly believed I was going to walk back through that curtain, and I had never received a high five. I’d seen other women get high fives from Vince and thumbs up and all these things. I got thumbs up before. I got a few thumbs up.

I thought I was going to get the biggest hug of a lifetime, and fist bumps, maybe even a hoist on a shoulder and out the door, something for being so brilliant. It’s not what happened at all.

Go back through the curtain and Vince is pissed. He’s like, ‘That was crass! Do you know what we’re gonna have to do? How much money it’s gonna cost to edit that and to pull it from everything? We’re a publicly traded company! What are you thinking?’\”

James discussed how the scolding brought her down from the high of a lifetime. Though the former Divas champion noted that McMahon clearly did not hate her too much since she remained champion afterward. Mickie believes that deep down, he really loved the angle.

The storyline between Mickie James and Trish Stratus would continue for months after WrestleMania 22. It concluded at a Raw episode in June when James picked up a victory over her arch-rival in a Women\’s title match.

  • Omos Pitches Floating Character For WWE TV Return

Omos has pitched an interesting character for himself.

The Wrestling Giant had made an offer to Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins after The Vision turned on the Architect during the October 13 episode of Raw. Rollins was written off TV with the angle due to a shoulder injury and was forced to relinquish the World title because of it.

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Omos explained why he offered his services to the WWE power couple. The 33-year-old claimed that Seth gave a home to all the members of the group and raised their status. So seeing Rollins getting stabbed in the back, did not sit right with him:

“To get abandoned and stabbed in the back like that didn’t sit right with me, and I just felt that I could offer my services and really do a great job at handling it.”

    The Omos Protection Agency

The Nigerian star later pitched an interesting character idea for his return to WWE TV. Taking inspiration from the APA, Omos suggested that he could work as a bodyguard for hire, being available to anyone who is ready to pay the fees:

“I have what I call the OPA – the Omos Protection Agency and my services are available to everybody, not just Becky Lynch, but if she needs my services like I said, just hit up my line and I’ll be there fair and square. We talk business and I’ll handle the work for you. Simple and clean.”

Omos has made appearances for NOAH and AAA in 2025, but not for the main WWE brand. His recent NXT live event appearances also led to no change in his creative status despite fans hoping that it was precursor to his TV return.

  • Triple Threat Title Match Added To Saturday Night\’s Main Event

Dominik Mysterio has found himself in a difficult situation.

This week\’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Honda Center in Anaheim, California, featured a #1 Contenders match between Penta and Rusev to determine the next challenger for Dirty Dom\’s IC title.

A backstage segment before the bout saw Mysterio calling someone for help. This came after his Judgment Day teammates brushed the IC Champion off when Dominik asked them to step up.

The help Mysterio called for turned out to be Rayo and Bravo Americano. They attacked both Penta and Rusev during the bout, leading to a No Contest finish.

This trick did not lead to the results Dom was hoping for, however, as General Manager Adam Pearce later confronted the current champion. The WWE Official announced that the IC title will now be defended in a triple threat, with both contenders getting a shot at the belt this Saturday.

PWinsider had provided an update on the matter before Raw, revealing that names such as Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar had visited the WWE Headquarters over the last week.

The site noted that these stars were likely called in to film promotional material for WrestleMania 42. Now, some latest developments seem to have confirmed this explanation of the mystery packages.

The latest episode of Monday Night Raw from Honda Center in Anaheim, California, featured three more of these videos. The first two were similar in nature to the social media posts as they showed a man pouring whiskey into glasses, and the hand of someone wearing a Hall of Fame ring.

The third vignette, however, provided a little more information. It saw a casino chip being thrown into a table with the year 2026 marked on it:

During the talk, Nikki mentioned that she brought her son Matteo with her to the WWE tapings for the first time ever. Bella revealed that one of the stars that helped make the visit special for Matteo by playing with him in the ring was Bayley:

\”This is the one thing and I know you agree. If I was to be like Brie, name one person who you could define as the heart of wrestling, would it not be her? It would be her. She is not only an incredible human, so kind, happy, like just a really good person, a good soul. Like you feel it.\”

The Heart of Wrestling: Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella then offered big praise to Bayley saying that the Hugger is always kind to everyone and she always feels happy around the wrestling veteran. The former champion dubbed the San Jose native as the heart of wrestling:

\”You\’re always happy around her. She\’s always happy to see everyone. She\’s kind to everyone. She listens when you talk, great at communicating. But she\’s just like the heart of wrestling.

She really is. She loves the business. She gives back to the business. She\’s a big star in the business. She\’s such an incredible wrestler. It\’s just like she\’s really big in this industry. Always will be.\”

After her clash with the Judgment Day stars, Nikki Bella has been announced for a singles match at this Monday\’s Raw. You can check out the full card for the show here.

  • Matt Hardy Reacts To Use of AI On NXT

Matt Hardy believes technology is only dumbing us down.

The use of AI in wrestling has become a topic of discussion recently, after Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has hired Cyrus Kowsari to help them transition to AI-based storytelling. Those reports have since been debunked but people continue to discuss how this growing technology will affect the business.

During the most recent episode of his Extreme Life podcast, Matt Hardy was asked about the use of AI during their NXT segment this week. The wrestling veteran claimed that he was ok with the technology being used in this instance:

“It was interesting. It was cool how they were able to do that and give a look of how the transformation happens underneath the water where that’s always been left up to the imagination before. I was okay with it. If you’re going to use that, it was a decent time to use it,\”

I Have No Interest: Matt Hardy

This Tuesday\’s NXT featured a video package hyping the upcoming Halloween Havoc match between the Hardy Boyz and Darkstate. The package featured the Attitude Era stars diving into the Lake of Reincarnation and emerging as Broken Matt and Brother Nero. Some AI footage was used to show this transformation under the lake.

When asked if he uses ChatGPT to help write his promos, Matt Hardy claimed that he has no interest in it and he still writes his own promos:

“I’m still writing mine. My wife is current with that stuff, but I have no interest in any of it. Technology has already dumbed us down way too much as it is.”

The Hardy Boyz hold both the NXT and TNA tag team championships at the moment. They\’ll be defending the WWE branded belts in a Broken Rules match against Darkstate this Saturday.

  • Wrestler Involved In Infamous KnokX Pro Incident Spotted On SmackDown

An unexpected name was spotted on SmackDown.

The opening segment of this week\’s episode of the Blue Branded show saw Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre exchanging words before their WWE Championship match at the upcoming Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

Rhodes removed his jacket and tie towards the end to fight Drew, but it was Jimmy Uso who got physical first. The Samoan Star jumped McIntyre from behind and the two brawled until a number of security guards pulled them apart.

    Doug Malo Spotted On SmackDown

Fans posted videos of this segment after the broadcast, noting that one of the security guards trying to pull McIntyre and Uso apart was none other than Doug Malo:

Malo is an indie wrestler who was involved in the infamous Raja Jackson incident earlier this year. He was the person who pulled Jackson off Syko Stu when Jackson attacked the indie star during a KnokX Pro wrestling event.

The son of MMA legend Quinton \”Rampage\” Jackson, Raja was arrested on Felony charges over the attack, and he is currently facing trial.

  • Hall of Famer Set For Match On Monday\’s Raw

Nikki Bella will be in action on Raw.

This past Monday\’s episode of Raw featured a singles match between Judgment Day\’s Roxanne Perez and the Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Raquel Rodriguez was naturally at the ringside, and she tried to help her tag team partner. In the end, however, Vaquer managed to pick up the victory.

The Judgment Day stars attacked the Women\’s Champion after the bout, which led to Nikki Bella making her surprise return to TV. The WWE Hall of Famer sent Rodriguez to the floor before turning her attention on Perez. Stephanie got up at that point as well and the two women then cleaned the house.

WWE then announced on this week\’s SmackDown that Bella will in action on Monday, squaring off against Roxanne in a singles match. This isn\’t the only match announced for the show as Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair will be defending their tag team titles against Bayley & Lyra Valkyria on Raw as well.

This prompted a returning Jade Cargill to make the save, and she sent Giulia and James retreating. Cargill then picked the Women\’s Champion up and posed with her, only to drop her again with a lariat. Jade went on to deliver a beatdown on Tiffany, complete with a stomp on the steel steps, among other things.

The former AEW star posed with the championship belt before finally leaving. It was later announced that the two women will meet in a singles match for the title at the upcoming special.

According to the site, Liv Morgan is actually ahead of schedule on her physical rehab. The expectation within the company is that she would return to TV by the beginning of 2026. The former champion could return before this based on how her recovery goes, but nothing is currently set in stone.

An early 2026 timetable means the WWE star will be ready in time to make her comeback at the Royal Rumble event set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 31.

Morgan had been involved in a storyline with Roxanne Perez before her injury, with the former NXT Women\’s Champion looking to join the Judgment Day against the wishes of Liv.

Perez was accepted into the faction as a replacement for Morgan when the latter was put on the shelf. Roxanne was officially recognized as one-half of the Women\’s tag team champions with Raquel Rodriguez in place of Liv at the time.

The duo of Rodriguez and Perez, however, ended up losing the titles at SummerSlam, and we\’ll have to see how Morgan reacts to this upon her return.

The Attitude Era star recently had an interview with VideoGamer.com. He talked about things such as his Bound For Glory retirement match, the worst bump he has ever taken and more.

“The stuff I’ve seen, I think he’s a true athlete and he takes the game very seriously and my hat goes off to him. Someone who had no experience in doing what we do here, and he’s picked it up, he’s absorbed it like a sponge. My hat goes off to him.”

There Was Always A Problem: D-Von Dudley

Though later on, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked if someone like Paul would have survived in the WCW era. D-Von, who was never part of the WCW roster but has experience with hostile locker rooms, claimed that old school guys would have broken someone like Logan:

“No. I say that respectfully because a lot of these old school guys would not have liked that. They would’ve been trying to mess with him. Trying to get him to crack,

And that was the way the business was back then. They weren’t letting outside people into our locker room at that. There was always a problem. This generation, totally different.”

Apart from this, D-Von Dudley also explained why he would have never had his retirement match in AEW. You can check out his comments on the matter here.

  • D-Von Dudley Explains Why He Wouldn\’t End His Career In AEW

D-Von Dudley has explained why AEW was never on the table for his retirement match.

The wrestling legend recently had an interview with VideoGamer.com. He talked about things such as a bump from his career he would never want to take again, what\’s next for him and more.

During the talk, the Attitude Era star was also asked if he always planned to end his career in a TNA ring. D-Von claimed that his goal was to retire in the right way and he didn\’t have a specific promotion in mind for it. The former WWE star then claimed that he would not have done the retirement match for AEW:

\”I would not have done it for AEW just because I don’t think AEW was ever a fit for the Dudleys. For other people probably, yes, but to me, not the Dudleys. I don’t know if I would’ve felt comfortable. There’s just certain things about the organization.\”

The Dudley Boyz laced up their boots one final time for a match against the Hardy Boys at TNA\’s Bound For Glory PPV earlier this month on October 12. After their loss, the duo of D-Von and Bully Ray handed over their boots to the Hardys, signalling the end of their legendary careers.

Explaining what he doesn\’t like about AEW, Brother Devon said that he is not a fan of President Tony Khan letting other people run his company:

\”I love the talent. I think the talent is great. There’s no question about that, but there’s a feeling that certain people in the organization that call the shots, I’m not a big fan of them. and Tony Khan lets that happen. So I don’t ever think that it would’ve ever been able to take place in AEW.\”

Dudley reiterated that he doesn\’t have a problem with the talent and he has many friends in AEW. Though he claimed that a lot people in the promotion feel frustrated over this issue. He just wishes that \’certain people\’ would not be calling the shots in the company and Tony Khan would take more control instead.

The Cenation Leader has only four dates left in his retirement tour before he hangs his boots for good. With his legendary career being so close to the end, many of his peers have been giving the former face of WWE his flowers.

During his recent appearance on Z100 Radio, Tony Khan was also asked what he thought about the 17-time World Champion. The AEW President had high praise for the 48-year-old, explaining that he is an absolute legend:

One of The All Time Greats: Tony Khan

Tony Khan mentioned that everyone who has worked with John Cena has nothing but good things to say about him. The wrestling executive revealed that he\’s never met the Peacemaker star in person and AEW\’s partnership with DC is probably as close as they\’ll ever get:

\”I think that he’s absolutely fantastic in the ring and he seems fantastic out of the ring. Certainly on screen, one of the all-time greats, and he came into the wrestling business after many of the top stars were either getting ready to retire or entering the final phase of their career and he really stepped up as one of the biggest wrestling stars of all time and even though I’ve never met him or talked to him, I have a ton of respect for him.”

John Cena will be making his final PPV appearance as an active performer at Survivor Series on November 29, which will be followed by his retirement match at the December 13 Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • Returning Star And More Included In AEW Women\’s Tag Team Title Tournament

AEW has revealed the tournament brackets for crowing of Inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, with a couple of interesting names in the mix.

This week\’s episode of Dynamite featured the return of Athena, who confronted Mercedes Mone in a backstage segment. The ROH Women\’s Champion had been off TV since the Death Before Dishonor PPV in August.

Mercedes was still reeling from her 12 belts celebration being ruined earlier by Kris Statlander, who also accepted Mone\’s challenge for a Full Gear match.

Athena proposed an alliance with the TBS Champion so the two of them can go after the Women\’s Tag titles. The allure of another belt was too much for Último Moné, and she accepted the proposal.

The company later revealed the full brackets for the tournament, which will see the newly formed team of Mone and Athena going against Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron in a first-round matchup.
