  • Kenny Omega Reveals Ideal Scenario For Retirement

Kenny Omega has revealed his ideal retirement scenario.

The Cleaner recently spoke with Shakiel Mahjouri to promote the upcoming Full Gear PPV. Among other things, he was asked about his health.

The AEW star mentioned that he still has bad days, but he has learned to manage his health better since he was first diagnosed with diverticulitis. His goal is to continue performing without making the fans constantly worried about his health.

The discussion led to the question about potential retirement and what he would like it to look like whenever the time comes. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion explained that he isn\’t rushing to it, but he also doesn\’t plan to continue performing until the wheels fall off:

\”I would like to be in a situation where I left the ring not having any regrets and not feeling embarrassed or that I tarnished my own reputation. I would like to leave when I have some semblance of athleticism left in my body.

I don’t want to completely work until the wheels fall off and that the person who leaves wrestling is one that barely resembles the Kenny Omega of old.\”

That Would Make Me The Happiest: Kenny Omega

Elsewhere in the interview, Kenny Omega was asked about AJ Styles announcing his retirement for 2026. The former NJPW star recalled how a match with The Phenomenal One had helped him regain his passion for wrestling after leaving WWE Development in 2006 and it saved his career.

Though the Elite member himself is not in favor of declaring a timetable for his own retirement. Omega explained that the best-case scenario for him would be for enough talents to step up. So that he can fade away into retirement without people realizing that he was gone:

\”I’ve been thinking a lot about when that timing would be. One important thing for me, too, is that when I finally do leave, whenever that may be, this might sound odd, but I don’t want people to be sad. In fact, the best-case scenario for me would be that they don’t realize I’m gone at all.

I would love to have the peace of mind that the company has built enough stars so that their star is shining bright enough to distract from me stepping away from the scene. That would make me the most happy,”

Apart from this, Kenny Omega also discussed the situation with Andrade being pulled from AEW TV after his return to the company due to his WWE non-compete. You can check out his remarks here.

  • The Young Bucks Reveal Thoughts On Potential Chris Jericho Exit

The Youngs Bucks believe that Chris Jericho needs to find his own way.

The AEW Co-founders were recently interviewed by Adam\’s Apple. They talked about things such as how they handle creative disagreements, which stars on the current roster they think are underrated and more.

The duo were also asked about the absence of Chris Jericho from AEW TV and his future. Matt Jackson noted that Y2J belongs in the AEW Mt Rushmore, while Nick Jackson claimed that they want the former World Champion to stay with the promotion but they\’re not sure what he is planning:

\”He’s a founding father, so of course we want him to stay. We’re not sure where he’s at head-space-wise right now, but I know he’s on a break and trying to figure it out on his own. And sometimes you have to let a wrestler like that figure it out on his own.”

Chris Jericho has not been seen on AEW TV since April this year, and his prolonged absence has been the cause for all sorts of rumors. Many people believe that the Attitude Era star is on his way back to WWE for the final chapter of his career.

Tony Khan, however, suggested during a recent interview that Jericho\’s absence has to do with the company having used up all his contracted dates. You can check out his remarks here.

  • Kenny Omega Breaks His Silence On Andrade Situation

Kenny Omega has commented on the Andrade situation.

The former AEW Champion recently had an interview with Shak Wrestling. He talked about things such as how a WWE star saved his wrestling career unknowingly, his health & retirement plans and more.

During the talk, he was also asked about the situation with Andrade. Kenny expressed the hope that everything will work out for the former WWE star, and said that he will have the same amount of motivation when he is allowed back on TV:

“To see him back in AEW was a happy moment for me. I felt that he really wanted to be there and do well. Now that he’s been sidelined for a little bit, I can imagine that when he comes back, he’ll have the same amount of motivation.

I think everything will be alright. When things happen, whether it be injury or otherwise, you have to pivot. The show must go on. That’s the way it is. That’s the nature of the beast. That’s professional wrestling.”

Andrade had made a surprise return to AEW TV during the October 1 Dynamite, only days after his WWE release. He attacked Kenny Omega in a segment which seemed to set up a match between the two for the WrestleDream PPV.

WWE then sent a cease-and-desist letter to AEW, believing the former NXT Champion to be bound by a year long non-compete clause. The 36-year-old has not made an appearance for the Tony Khan promotion since.

  • Spoiler: Sheamus Replacement Revealed In Last Time Is Now Tournament

    • This post contains spoilers for November 28 SmackDown

Sheamus had defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the first round of the Last Time is Now tournament during the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw this month. He was expected to face LA Knight in the semifinals of the tournament after Knight defeated a returning Zack Ryder.

The company then announced on Friday, however, that the Celtic Warrior was dealing with a shoulder injury and was unable to continue in the competition.

The commentators during the latest SmackDown said that Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis will be meeting to decide the former World Champion\’s replacement in the tournament, leaving fans wondering if we could see another surprise return.

This didn\’t turn out to be the case, however, as WWE taped the November 28 SmackDown from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, after tonight\’s show. The taping featured the semi-final match with LA Knight, and his opponent was revealed to be none other than The Miz.

This was a surprising choice from the WWE officials, as the A-Lister had previously competed in the tournament, being defeated by Jey Uso in a first-round match.

Other semi-finalists of the tournament are Gunther, Rusev, Penta, Carmelo Hayes, and Solo Sikoa. Now we\’ll have to see which one of these names end up facing John Cena in his retirement match at December 13, Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • Final Lineup For Women\’s WarGames Confirmed On SmackDown

The final two members of the Women\’s WarGames teams have been confirmed.

This past Monday\’s episode of Raw saw AJ Lee making her return to WWE programming. She appeared during the Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri IC title match, causing The Man to lose her belt to the rookie star. Rhea Ripley had then teased Lee for Survivor Series in a backstage segment.

This week\’s episode of SmackDown featured the two women\’s WarGames teams in the main event. The Mami took charge with a promo praising her confirmed teammates, including Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and IYO SKY. Ripley then introduced the fifth member of their WarGames team – AJ Lee.

Before Lee could even get into the ring, however, Nia Jax, Lash Legends, and The Kabuki Warriors attacked the babyfaces from behind. AJ ran to the ring to help her team, but Becky Lynch cut her off.

Rhea Ripley tried to fight bravely, but Lynch held her up, allowing Nia to take her out. The show ended with Becky getting in the ring and shaking Asuka\’s hand, confirming her own place in the Women\’s WarGames match.

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames will be taking place next week on November 29. The final line up for the Men\’s cage match was also confirmed with big returns on this week\’s Raw. You can check out more about it here.

  • Cody Rhodes Causes Big Upset In Last Time Is Now Tournament

A big upset in the Last Time is Now tournament.

This week\’s episode of SmackDown opened with a promo between the two men\’s WarGames teams. It led to a backstage segment where Drew McIntyre was shown to have attacked Cody Rhodes in his bus.

The Vision was out again later in the night as Bronson Reed squared off against Carmelo Hayes in the first-round match of the tournament to decide John Cena\’s final opponent. Despite much offense from Melo, Reed looked undefeatable for most of this fight.

The ending of the match saw Logan Paul distracting the referee as Bron Breakker went to spear Carmelo at the other side of the ring. Breakker was caught mid-way with a superkick by the Usos, however.

    Carmelo Hayes Beats Bronson Reed

Cody Rhodes then showed up to attack Reed, delivering a big Cross Rhodes on the floor. The American Nightmare then put Hayes back in the ring. Melo ended up winning the match as Bronson failed to beat the ten-count.

The segment ended with the Undisputed WWE Champion cutting a fiery promo on the heel team, confirming that he will still be a part of the WarGames match next Saturday despite the attack earlier.

This wasn\’t the only progress in the Last Time Is Now tournament as Penta defeated Finn Balor in a separate match to advance in the competition. WWE also confirmed that Sheamus\’ replacement in the tournament will be revealed on Raw next week.

  • Natalya Reveals Reaction To Maxxine Dupri\’s IC Title Win

Natalya has revealed her thoughts on Maxxine Dupri\’s Raw win.

The latest episode of the Red Branded show saw Becky Lynch defending her Women\’s IC title against the inexperienced star. AJ Lee made her surprise return during this match, distracting The Man and allowing Dupri to pick up the victory.

Natalya, who has teamed with the new IC champion before and also helped train her, commented on her win on Busted Open Radio. She said that she is genuinely happy that the WWE star, real name Sydney Jeannine Zmrzel, got this moment:

\”Sydney is her real name. She\’s such a good person. She\’s somebody that, she just lights up a room. I love it. I just love talking to her. I love her energy, even outside the ring. This is a moment that I\’m very genuinely happy for her as from human to human.\”

Not Afraid of Hard Work: Natalya

The WWE veteran also praised Dupri as a hard-working talent. She explained that being a WWE superstar is about more than just the matches:

\”The thing I love about Maxxine is that she\’s not afraid of hard work. She has a very strong work ethic. And work ethic isn\’t just, \’Hey, I work out hard in the ring,\’ or, \’Hey, I work out hard in the gym.\’

To be a professional wrestler, to make it in this industry, to make it at the highest level, which is where she\’s at right now, you gotta do [so much]. There are so many different factors involved.

From how you present yourself on social media, the way that you take care of your body, the way your wrestling gear looks, the way that you talk to people, how you engage with your audience.\”

The Hart Family member later discussed how the connection with the audience is the biggest thing you need to become a superstar. She put Maxxine in the same list as Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona, as people who never had it easy but who left no stone unturned in their effort.

  • Kenny Omega Reveals How WWE Star Unknowingly Saved His Career

Kenny Omega has revealed how his one singles match with a current WWE star changed his life.

The Best Bout Machine recently had an interview with CBS Sports. Among other things, he discussed the impact AJ Styles has had on his career. The AEW star recalled the very early days of his run, when he was signed to WWE\’s development territory Deep South Wrestling.

Kenny mentioned that he had lost his passion for wrestling during this stint. Omega had become so disillusioned with how things were done at the professional level in that period that he requested his release from the development territory and was thinking about switching careers :

\”I thought, \’Maybe this isn\’t for me because it isn\’t fun anymore. I don\’t feel like the creativity I have access to on the indies is viable on that level. Everything is micromanaged.

Even the micromanaged stuff is micromanaged from there. I felt I couldn\’t be me, and being me was fun.\”

I Can Reach This Level: Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega had started competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and was contemplating an MMA career after leaving DSW in 2006. He hadn\’t left wrestling completely behind, however, and he got booked for a match with AJ Styles by indie wrestling promotion Premier Championship Wrestling.

The former AEW World Champion went into the event thinking that a match with Styles was the perfect way to end his career. The experience in the ring actually ended up changing Omega\’s outlook completely, and he started thinking about improving his skills once again:

\”We had no interactions ever before, but there were moments in that match that really felt like the give and take felt so symbiotic, The chemistry was naturally there.

I thought, \’Wow, this is what wrestling someone at this level feels like. I\’m not embarrassing myself. Maybe I\’m not exactly keeping up, but I\’m not embarrassing myself. Maybe if I push myself harder, I can reach this level.\’\”

AJ Styles would continue influencing Kenny\’s career. The Canadian star crossed paths with the former WWE champion again in NJPW in 2015-16 where he learned how to carry himself as a world champion from the former TNA star.

The leadership of the Bullet Club would also pass on from Styles to Omega, which Kenny believes is another pivotal moment in his career. Without it, he would not have formed such a close friendship with The Elite and there probably would not be an All Elite Wrestling.

  • Saraya Responds To Claims That She\’s \’Begging\’ For WWE Job

Saraya has responded to harsh comments from fans.

The wrestling veteran recently spoke to The Toronto Sun. She talked about things such as her new podcast, the WWE return of Nikki Bella and AJ Lee, and more.

During the interview, the former Divas Champion also rebutted fans who claim that she has been begging for a WWE return. Saraya explained that she only talks about it when the topic is brought up to her:

“I will say, anytime I’m in an interview, I get asked that. Everyone who comes to my table asks that.

But Twitter can be so harsh—if I talk about it, they’re like, ‘You’re begging for a job.’ I’m like, ‘No, people ask me.’ I’m just answering the question.\”

    Maybe One Day: Saraya

Saraya left AEW after a 3-year run with the promotion in March this year. She had a short 44-day reign with the AEW Women\’s World Championship in the company.

The star formerly known as Paige explained that she doesn\’t randomly talk about a WWE return and it’s the fans who have pushed for it:

\”I’m not randomly going, ‘Bring me back.’ I’m just getting a lot of love and a good reception. People really want me to come back, and I think that’s incredible. Maybe one day. I don’t know though.”

The former WWE star, who hasn\’t wrestled since October 2024, also said that she had fallen out of love with wrestling for a second. Saraya is now starting to get the itch again however, and she is planning to start training for an in-ring return from January next year.

  • Brie Bella Reacts To WWE Return Rumors

Brie Bella is not saying no to a WWE return.

With Nikki Bella\’s recent heel turn, there has been a renewed chatter about her twin sister potentially making a comeback of her own to WWE programming.

The former WWE star herself addressed these rumors on the latest episode of the Bella Twins\’ podcast. Brie Bella noted that she has a busy life, but it did not stop her from claiming that she has one more run left in her:

“I think there is definitely a last run in me. I’m at the age, and I’m strong, and I think it’s because I’m working out so hard,

And I’m feeling good. There is for sure a last run in me. But I’m like, wherever it may take me, wherever it may be. I hope it’s with you.\”

Nikki Bella made her return to WWE during the Royal Rumble event in February this year, and she has been involved in some high-profile storylines since then.

Nikki most recently set up a women\’s championship match with Stephanie Vaquer for Survivor Series, after turning on the former CMLL star.

There is no word on if WWE officials have any interest in bringing Brie back at the moment but there is always a possibility of the Hall of Fame duo reuniting on TV down the line.

  • Contract of Longtime AEW Talent Expiring Soon (Report)

A key AEW figure might become a free agent in the coming times.

Fightful Select has provided an interesting update regarding one of the AEW originals, noting that the current contract of Anna Jay is set to expire sometime within the next few months.

While people within the promotion expect the officials to make the move to retain her if possible, there is no confirmation of a contract negotiation between the two parties at the moment.

It\’s said that Jay has enjoyed her recent work with the company, but she is also open to exploring free agency options if it benefits her career.

    Anna Jay\’s AEW Career

Anna Jay had most recently been teaming with Tay Melo as part of the TayJay tag team. Their future remains uncertain, however, after losing in the first round of the Women\’s Tag Team title tournament.

Having officially joined AEW back in April 2020, Jay has been a regular for the company. She has wrestled over 100 matches under the AEW and ROH banners in the last 5 years.

Her most memorable run is undoubtably being part of the Dark Order faction under the leadership of Brodie Lee. Anna was also a part of the Jericho Appreciation Society, though she has not won any titles in the company.

  • Real Reason For Awkward Finish To Dynamite Match

The awkward finish to the Dynamite match between Shelton Benjamin and Mike Bailey was reportedly a result of miscommunication.

The Gold Standard delivered a big kick to his opponent towards the ending of this match, turning him upside down. The referee stopped the count at the last second as Benjamin went for the pin; however, even when Bailey had not kicked out.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer provided an update on this awkward spot, noting that it wasn\’t a result of Speedball suffering a concussion. According to him, the match was expected to go a little longer but Shelton called for an audible after seeing an incredible sell from his opponent. Only the point was not well communicated to the referee:

\”The planned finish was going to be a superkick. So Shelton hits this kick, and Speedball takes this incredible full-flip bump that makes him look absolutely dead. Shelton decides, ‘It’s not going to get better than that,’ and calls an audible — this is the finish. Apparently, the referee didn’t hear him, so the ref stops the count.\”

The duo continued with the original finish to the match after this, which saw Shelton Benjamin delivering a Suplex to Mike Bailey, and following it with a running knee. The Hurt Syndicate star then delivered another superkick to finally get the pin.

The match\’s result puts The Hurt Syndicate in an interesting position, as Bobby Lashley also picked up a victory over Ricochet on the same show. With these wins, the two teammates have earned the first two spots in the upcoming National Championship Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear this Saturday.

The rules of the match dictate that a pin can occur at any point, meaning that the Hurt Syndicate can take the title home even before the next participant has entered the match. This is, if the two can decide which one of them deserves to make history by becoming the Inaugural champion.

  • CM Punk Reveals How New Pay Structure Has Affected WWE Locker Room Culture

CM Punk has explained how the changed WWE pay structure has affected the locker room.

The World Champion was asked about the difference between his first world title reign and the current one during his recent interview with Mostly Wrestling podcast. Punk mentioned that he had the desire to prove himself a worthy champion back then, and he feels much more secure in his position now.

When asked if it had to do with the locker room being more competitive in those days, the Straight Edge star explained that everyone wanted to be in the main event because the pay was dependent on your position on the card:

“I mean, the business has radically changed. It was a different place when I signed than when I debuted. And then when I came back like, it’s such a radically different place. The thing with the title too is, it means you made more money. That does not exist anymore.\”

It\’s Good And Bad: CM Punk

Elsewhere in the interview, CM Punk mentioned that back in his first run with the promotion, the locker room was more like a high school filled with a lot of mean-spirited people. Things are more business-oriented today with talents being able to celebrate each other\’s victories.

The 47-year-old explained that there are still talents who have that competitive nature, but everyone gets paid a set amount, irrespective of where they\’re placed on a show. So now he doesn\’t care if he opens an event cause then he can just enjoy the rest of the night:

“It’s good and bad. Like we all make more money now, which is thumbs up. But we, — like, my paycheck was always predicated on how many people were in the building. So I was driven towards ticket sales and the business of it. And when you’re in the main events, you got paid more money.

And now, everyone’s just kind of on salary. So I think that’s good and bad. It’s good for the boys. But also, I feel there’s not the same ambition. I always wanted to be in the main event because it got me more money. And now I think it’s — now I don’t care if I’m the opening match, because I’m still gonna make the same. And I can shower and watch the show.”

Apart from this, CM Punk also gave his opinion on John Cena being dubbed as the Greatest of All Time. You can check out his remarks here.

  • CM Punk Reveals Opinion On John Cena Being Called The GOAT

CM Punk is grateful to be part of John Cena\’s retirement tour.

The Straight Edge star recently had an interview with Mostly Sports. He discussed things such as how the WWE pay structure has changed, wanting to have a match in Wrigley Field in Chicago and more.

The World Champion was also asked about getting to witness John Cena\’s retirement tour up close as well as getting the chance to wrestle him one final time at Night of Champions this year. Punk replied by talking about his 2023 WWE return, saying that the universe puts you where you need to be:

\”You know, to me, it\’s kind of like the universe will always put you where you need to be. So me coming back two years ago to WWE is really kind of kismet,

Because now all of a sudden, John Cena is doing this retirement tour, and I just, the entire step of the way. I\’ve just been fortunate to be there to witness it. I feel like, \’Man, this is where I needed to be.\’\”

Always Led By Example: CM Punk

CM Punk later gave his opinion on the company promoting Cena as the Greatest of All Time. The former AEW star mentioned how opinion can be subjective, but claimed that he\’s never seen anyone more deserving of the title in his own career:

\”Watching him gracefully bow out, has been just tremendously rewarding, obviously. He\’s somebody who, we\’re calling him the GOAT. It\’s very subjective,

But in my lifetime, in my career, [he\’s] somebody who always led by example. Box office superstar, charismatic through the roof. Great on the mic, does all the PR. Over the last 20 years, 100% the GOAT.\”

  • AEW Tag Team Debuts New Entrance On Dynamite

Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa are officially a team.

The duo known as Timeless Love Bombs squared off against Alex Windsor & Riho in a first-round match of the AEW Women\’s Tag Team Championship Tournament on tonight\’s episode of Dynamite.

Mina and Toni debuted a new entrance for this bout, which included a new theme music and complementing dance moves to go with it:

The ending of this first round match saw Storm and Shirakawa delivering a double hip attack to their opponents. Toni then hooked Windsor for a Storm Zero while Mina kept Riho at bay, leading to the Love Bombs\’ victory.

AEW Women\’s Tag Team Title Tournament

Marina Shafir, who replaced an injured Penelope Ford had teamed with Megan Bayne to defeat TayJay in a previous first round match.

The duo of Bayne and Shafir will now face Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa in the first semi-final of the tournament. The second semi-final will similarly see Julia Hart and Skye Blue squaring off against Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron.

The Timeless Love Bombs are the favorites to win this tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women\’s tag team champions. The team receiving an official theme and entrance only further strengthens their claim at the newly created belts.

  • David Otunga Says The Shield Was \’Nexus 2.0\’

David Otunga believes Nexus could have had The Shield\’s success.

The former WWE star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. Among other things he talked about John Cena\’s infamous SummerSlam win over their faction, and how different their future would have been had the Cenation Leader not forced the match finish to be changed.

When asked how much potential he thinks Nexus had, David Otunga compared the group\’s failure to the success of the Shield. He explained that the trio was based on the idea they had first:

“I think we would have had a major run kind of like The Shield. Because if you ask me, I feel like The Shield was Nexus 2.0.

What they did with The Shield, everything they did wrong in Nexus, they made sure they did it right with The Shield. That’s my opinion. So I assume we would have had a run kind of similar to that.”

Out of the original eight members of the Nexus faction, only Bryan Danielson ever won a world title. Between WWE and AEW, the American Dragon has had a total of 6 world title reigns.

The three members of the Shield, on the other hand, share a total of 17 world title reigns among them in the two promotions. Dean Ambrose holds the record for most AEW World Title reigns at 4, while Roman Reigns had the longest world title reign in the modern era with his 1,316 days run as WWE\’s top champion.

  • Tony Khan Gives Reason For Chris Jericho\’s AEW Absence

Tony Khan has revealed new details regarding Chris Jericho\’s AEW absence.

The wrestling promoter recently spoke to Ariel Helwani for a new interview. Among other things, he was also asked about Y2J\’s prolonged absence from AEW TV.

Khan first discussed how Jericho has been with AEW since the start of the company, but claimed that he can\’t say whether or not he will return to the promotion. When asked what is the reason behind his absence now, Tony suggested that it has to do with the number of contracted days:

\”It’s a very good question. Some of it comes down to just working out the dates.”

    I Hope So: Tony Khan

Chris Jericho has been off AEW TV since April this year. The popular belief among fans is that he is on his way back to WWE, and Tony Khan is keeping him off TV because he is aware of this decision.

The AEW President also refused to comment on reports about the 55-year-old\’s contract being up at the end of this year. Though he replied positively when asked if he hopes the Attitude Era star will be back with the company, reiterating that his absence has to do with the number of dates in his contract:

\”I hope so. I absolutely hope we’ll get Chris back in. And a star like Chris Jericho, you negotiate a certain number of dates.

Chris has always been really great about being one of those wrestlers in AEW that when he’s in, he’s all the way in. And if you think, he’s always really been a full-time part of the show.”

Apart from this, Tony Khan discussed the situation with Andrade and revealed if the Mexican star will be allowed back in his company after the recent controversy. You can check out his remarks here.

  • Tony Khan Reveals If Andrade Would Be Allowed Back In AEW

Tony Khan has revealed if he would want to book Andrade again.

The AEW President recently had a revealing interview with Ariel Helwani. He talked about things such as the reason behind Chris Jericho\’s AEW absence, the decision to air the CM Punk All In footage, and more.

During the interview, the wrestling executive was also asked about the situation with Andrade. Khan mentioned that he is on good terms with the Mexican star. The AEW owner also claimed that the former champion will be welcomed back in the company when he is officially free to make an appearance:

“I think the world of Andrade. I had a great experience with him, and he left on the best of terms — the original time — and now, when he said he was free and made his one-night appearance, I was thrilled to see him again, and anytime he’s free and whenever that is, he is absolutely always welcome in AEW.”

It Is An Interesting Situation: Tony Khan

Andrade had made an appearance during the Dynamite 6th anniversary special on October 1, 2025, only days after being fired by WWE. It was then reported, however, that the high-flying star had been pulled from AEW TV after WWE sent a cease-and-desist letter, believing him to be bound by a year-long non-compete clause.

When asked if the former WWE star misrepresented his status as a free agent before the Dynamite appearance, Tony Khan declined to comment, only saying that it\’s an interesting situation:

“I can’t speak to that… It is an interesting situation that I am gonna keep an eye on, but I absolutely think the world of Andrade El Idolo.”

There is a lot of uncertainty regarding the former WWE star\’s official status as he remains out of action. Stay tuned to SEScoops for any update on his situation.

  • First Matches Confirmed For NXT Deadline

The first matches have been confirmed for NXT Deadline.

Last week\’s episode of the Black & Silver show saw Ricky Saints defeating Trick Williams in an NXT Championship Last Man Standing match. Oba Femi made his return to the brand after this bout and had a confrontation with the NXT champion.

Night 1 of the NXT Gold Rush special this week then featured a confrontation between Femi and Saints. Ricky ended up offering Femi a title match at the next NXT PPV, which Oba accepted.

Trick Williams also tried to get involved in this conversation by making his entrance and telling Saints that he will continue pursuing the NXT title. Myles Borne came out behind Williams, however, and took him out with a steel chair.

This wasn\’t the only match made official for NXT\’s final PPV of the year as General Manager Ava confirmed the return of Iron Survivor Challenge for the show.

She revealed that John Cena has personally picked the contestants for both Men\’s and Women\’s Survivor matches this year, and the lineup will be revealed next week.

NXT Deadline this year will take place from Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. The event will be held on December 6, 2025, a week before Cena\’s retirement match.

  • Tatum Paxley Makes Unfortunate Record After The Culling Betrayal On NXT Gold Rush

The Culling has turned on Tatum Paxley.

The NXT Women\’s Champion defended her title against Jacy Jayne in the main event of NXT Gold Rush week 1 this Tuesday night.

Izzi Dame, Niko Vance, and Shawn Spears were in the champion\’s corner while Jayne had her Fatal Influence partners to support her.

The ending of the bout saw Dame trying to help Paxley on a couple of occasions by sliding in a chair and the title belt to use on the challenger. Tatum Paxley, however, refused to do things the wrong way.

This cost her the bout in the end as Vance and Spears stopped the defending champion from getting back in the ring when she was thrown out, and Dame took Paxley out with a big kick.

Dame then threw her former teammate back in the ring for Jayne to pin her and become a 2-time NXT Women\’s Champion. The show ended with The Culling standing over an unconscious Paxley.

Tatum Paxley had only won the championship at Halloween Havoc last month. With this loss, she has made a new record for the shortest reign with the title at just 23 days, beating the previous record held by Indi Hartwell.

The former champion will now most likely be feuding with Izzi Dame so we\’ll have to see who challenges Jacy Jayne for the title next.

John Cena is set for one last weekly TV appearance.

The Cenation Leader made his final Raw appearance from Madison Square Garden in New York yesterday, where he competed in a six-man tag team match.

Fans were expecting this to be Cena\’s final weekly TV appearance, but an announcement on this week\’s episode of NXT surprised people.

This week\’s episode of the Black & Silver show featured a video package from NXT General Manager Ava. She talked about the upcoming Deadline PPV and the return of the Iron Survivor challenge.

John Cena To Pick Iron Survivor Contestants

Ava mentioned how in the past, legends were invited to pick names for this match on both Women\’s and Men\’s sides. This year, however, it will be John Cena who will be deciding the full lineup for both the bouts, which will be revealed next week:

Though it seems unlikely that he\’ll be making an in-person appearance at the show next week, and the announcement will most likely be made via a video package.

  • David Otunga Tells Truth of John Cena Burying Nexus

David Otunga has opened up about John Cena\’s infamous win over Nexus.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as whether he considers himself retired from wrestling, getting released during the COVID-19 pandemic, and more.

When asked about the popular notion that the Cenation Leader buried The Nexus faction, Otunga confirmed the popular opinion, saying that it\’s the truth:

“Oh yeah, that’s 100% accurate. I mean, that’s what happened, that is what happened.”

We Weren\’t Happy About That: David Otunga

John Cena led a team of 7 WWE superstars against Nexus in the main event of SummerSlam 2010 PPV. The ending of the elimination tag match featured Cena as the sole survivor for his team against the duo of Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel.

Barrett failed to pin the Hollywood star even after delivering a huge DDT to him on the concrete floor. A lot of people have criticized the finish to this match, which saw Cena recovering from this assault and winning the bout for his team.

David Otunga was then asked if he feels this way because Cena had the finish of the match changed. He proclaimed that the even the WWE legend likely knows that it was the wrong call:

“Yes. And I don’t know why he wanted to go over, but we knew all day we were supposed to go over, and then things started getting weird, and then they tell us, no, the finish changed,

And it’s because John wanted to go over, and we weren’t happy about that. The other guys in the match weren’t happy about that.

And if I’m being honest, I think John probably knows that wasn’t the right idea. I mean, maybe obviously, at the time, he thought that was the right call, but in retrospect, I don’t even think he would agree that that was the right thing to do.”

Otunga was later inquired about the original finish of the match. He said that Nexus was supposed to win the whole thing but he doesn\’t know the specifics of how it was going to happen.

He also went on to discuss how a win at the PPV would have helped the group sustain their momentum until WrestleMania next year but they never regained the steam after that loss.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh showed up after this to beat up the 17-time World Champion, leading to Sheamus and Rey Mysterio making the save.

The Cenation Leader then called for a six-man tag between the two teams. The faces won the match to put an end to Cena\’s run on the Red branded show.

CM Punk was the center of attention after Raw.

This week\’s episode of the Red Branded Show ended on a chaotic note which started with a big brawl between the two men\’s WarGames teams.

Brock Lesnar was revealed as the fifth member of the heel team consisting of The Vision, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre towards the ending of the show. The Beast Incarnate took out the team of The Usos, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk upon his first appearance on WWE TV after WrestlePalooza.

He couldn\’t stand tall for long, however, as Roman Reigns made a surprise appearance to confirm his own place in the babyface WarGames team. He sent Lesnar crashing with a big Superman punch.

    CM Punk After Raw

Bronson Reed tried to brawl with The Tribal Chief next, but he ended up taking a spear through the barricade. Raw finally went off air with the NYPD showing up, as the fight continued all around the ringside.

The heels left after the broadcast, but the faces stuck around. Roman came face-to-face with CM Punk in a tense moment after the show, before the Head of the Table also left the arena.

The Straight Edge star then got on the mic and led the fans into a tribute to John Cena, who made his final appearance on the Monday Night show tonight. Punk finally ended the night by calling for his arch-rival\’s music to be played one final time in the legendary Madison Square Garden.
