  • Cody Rhodes Wants A Full Wrestling Funeral

Cody Rhodes has some unique ideas for his funeral.

The former Undisputed WWE Champion recently appeared on Grave Conversations. During the session, Rhodes discussed a scene from the DC comic series Identity Crisis, which sees all the superheroes wearing their costumes while attending a funeral.

The 40-year-old claimed that it\’s one of the greatest funeral scenes of all time and said that it\’s how he envisions his own funeral. Cody Rhodes said that he would love to be buried in his American Nightmare costume, with all talents wearing their own wrestling gear to honor his career:

“Identity Crisis has one of the greatest funeral scenes of all time because all of them showed up in gimmick, full gear. When my time comes, I want the wrestling world in full gimmick. Bury me in the American Nightmare Sandra Grey robe. Bury me as I was. I spent so much time giving back to pro wrestling and taking from pro wrestling and loving that I got to play a superhero. I’d like to go out a superhero.”

After losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre earlier this month, Cody Rhodes is set to enter the Royal Rumble this Saturday alongside names such as Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

He also recently talked about his 2022 WWE return and addressed reports about his AEW exit. You can check out what he said here.

  • New Chris Jericho Project Revealed Amid Uncertain Wrestling Future

Chris Jericho looks to be set for a new project.

Elle Magazine recently provided first look at the upcoming Apple TV series Margo\’s Got Money Troubles. One of the photos featured in the article interestingly showed none other than Y2J standing in a wrestling ring alongside Nicole Kidman:

The upcoming series, based on a popular 2024 novel of the same name, is the story of Margo Millet, a college dropout. After becoming pregnant with her professor\’s baby, she turns to OnlyFans as means to support herself.

In the book, Millet receives marketing advice from her dad who is a retired pro wrestler, and it\’s the role Chris Jericho is presumably playing. The project does not have an announced release date but it\’s expected to come out sometime this year.

The former AEW Champion has kept fans puzzled about his wrestling future. Despite not making an AEW appearance since April last year, he is believed to still be under a contract since the company has not removed him from their official roster page.

The belief is that Jericho is headed back to WWE. The wrestling veteran himself has also not ruled out the possibility, but when it will actually happen is anyone\’s guess.

  • Braun Strowman Confirms Surgery After Unexpected Hospitalization

    Braun Strowman has undergone surgery.

The former Universal Champion had to make an emergency trip to the hospital earlier this week due to a knee infection he said \’came out of nowhere.\’ The Monster Among Men has been providing regular updates on his health since then on social and in the latest post on Thursday, he confirmed that he underwent surgery.

The former WWE star first provided some details about the issue he was facing. Braun Strowman then noted that he will have to stay in the hospital for one more night before he can go home:

\”Alright guys and girls back again. Day 4. So just had surgery. It\’s gonna be a couple of days still. Taking it easy. I think I gotta stay in here one more night then I get to go home and then yeah recovery. Still got a ways to go get over this hump all the way with the infection and stuff but the pain is finally starting to subside so it doesn\’t feel like my kneecap is going to explode off anymore.\”

Strowman did not provide a recovery timeline but it\’s likely that he will have to take atleast a few weeks off from his regular activities. The former champion has been focusing on other projects instead of wrestling since his WWE release and he hasn\’t had a match since April last year. So the good news for Braun is that he doesn\’t has to rush to recovery.

  • Cody Rhodes Reveals Reservations Before His 2022 WWE Return

Cody Rhodes received a hero\’s welcome upon his 2022 WWE return. He was presented as a big star coming from AEW, and went on to defeat the likes of Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns to become the new face of WWE. Before all this, however, the wrestling veteran had to make the decision to leave the company he co-founded to return to one where he started his career, and the call was not an easy one.

The former Undisputed Champion opened up about the reservations he had about this huge career move during his appearance on Six Feet Under. Cody Rhodes mentioned that he had a lot of things going on in AEW. He was unsure if WWE would see him as a main eventer despite all his success outside the company, and he felt the whole thing was the biggest gamble of his life:

\”The situation, looking back at it now, so many things were happening. I had two television shows on Warner Media. I had to juggle that. I had to really weigh it out. Obviously, opportunity is amazing, but I had to weigh it out. ‘Is this a mistake? They didn’t see it the first time. They saw a little, but they didn’t see it.’ You think the first time leaving was the biggest mistake ever. Coming back, my fear was, ‘this could be the biggest gamble of all.’\”

I Had A Good Gig: Cody Rhodes

The 40-year-old discussed how being reintroduced as The American Nightmare instead of his past personas in WWE meant that people who did not know his journey could also get behind him. Cody Rhodes later addressed reports of being unhappy in AEW before his departure from the promotion as well, saying that he had a good gig there:

\”I had a good gig. Contrary to what you hear, I had a good gig. I had an executive job. I loved the Bullet Club guys. Evolving and moving myself forward, it was a lot to weigh out. had I gone and belly flopped in the pool, it wouldn’t have hurt WWE at all. It would have been, ‘See, he wasn’t. He was little league all along,\’”

The former AEW star is set to enter the Royal Rumble match along with names such as Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns this Saturday. You can check out the full list of confirmed entrants here.

  • Latest On Rey Mysterio Royal Rumble Status

Rey Mysterio is in Saudi Arabia despite his injury.

The WWE Hall of Famer suffered an injury during his latest Raw match against Austin Theory. He appeared to have hurt his knee during a hurricanrana attempt outside the ring, and the injury was confirmed when the referee threw the X sign.

PWInsider provided an update on the status of the Luchador ahead of the Royal Rumble. They confirmed that Rey Mysterio has travelled to Saudi Arabia with the rest of the WWE crew. The site also revealed that it\’s actually a rib issue that the veteran is dealing with, instead of the knee injury as originally believed.

They could not provide an update on the severity of the injury, so Mysterio\’s status for the annual battle royal remains uncertain. The officials not pulling him off the long trip to Saudi Arabia, however, suggests that the injury is not very serious.

While the status of Rey Mysterio remains a mystery, there are a couple of other names that seem to be on the road to a Royal Rumble return. You can check out more about it here.

  • R-Truth Reveals One John Cena Advice That Resonated With Him

R-Truth has revealed the best advice he received from John Cena.

The Attitude Era star has been associated with the Cenation Leader in various ways during his WWE career. Calling the 17-time world champion his \’childhood hero,\’ Truth has dressed up as the fellow wrestling veteran on many occasions and dubbed himself \’Ron Cena.\’

During his recent appearance on the Nikki and Brie Show, the 54-year-old discussed John Cena\’s influence on his career. He revealed the one piece of advice from the former face of WWE that resonated with him the most:

\”One that kind of really resonated with me that Cena told me, and told me this maybe three years ago, but it took me to be a grown man to like… he said, \’Truth, one heel at a time,\’ and it resonated with me. Like damn. I try to do so much. Whether it’s please, or whether it’s accomplish, I try to do so much. Focus on one thing, get that done, and move on to the next, so one heel at a time.\”

R-Truth got to work with John Cena in his recently concluded retirement tour around the same time he was fired and re-hired by WWE. Cena first defeated him at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, before a SmackDown rematch that ended in a disqualification.

The former K-Kwik has not officially been announced for the Royal Rumble event this Saturday but it\’s unlikely that he will miss the show.

  • Jim Ross Reveals What Powerhouse Hobbs Told Him Before Royal Rumble

Powerhouse Hobbs thanked Jim Ross for all his support.

The former AEW TNT Champion left the Tony Khan promotion earlier this month. The belief is that he has officially signed with WWE and the creatives are just waiting for the perfect opportunity to introduce him on TV.

Jim Ross, who has been a mentor to the 35-year-old since he joined the Tony Khan promotion in 2020, discussed his future on the latest episode of his podcast. The AEW commentator revealed a recent conversation he had with Powerhouse Hobbs, where the young star thanked him for all his support:

\”He called me a day or two ago thanking me for my help over the years. I said, ‘Well, my phone number isn’t going to change, big fella. So if you need me for something — need a little motivation, need a question answered, or just want to shoot the sh*t — I’m your man. I want to help you if I can.\’”

The WWE Hall of Famer also speculated that Hobbs will be making his debut in the Royal Rumble match. Ross argued that it would make no sense not to use the former AEW star for the big event after signing him close to the PPV.

While there is no guarantee of Hobbs making his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble, a couple of other names have been confirmed to be in Saudi Arabia ahead of the Saturday night show. You can check out more about it here.

  • Tommaso Ciampa Explains Jumping Ship To AEW

Tommaso Ciampa has revealed why he left WWE.

The former NXT Champion made his surprise AEW debut at this week\’s Dynamite, only days after announcing the end of his 11-year stint with WWE.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, the wrestling veteran explained the reasoning behind this decision. Tommaso Ciampa mentioned that there wasn\’t a single factor or incident that led to this change. It\’s something he had been thinking about as his WWE contract was coming up, and he felt like AEW was the right place for him to be in this stage of career:

“If I wrestled in the 90s, I’d wanna be a part of ECW… Early 2000s, you wanna be a part of Ring of Honor. I was lucky I got to do that a little bit. 2010s, I think for me at least, I wanted to be part of NXT Black and Gold. And when I looked at the landscape of professional wrestling in the 2020s… the answer was AEW, man. That’s what I want to be a part of.”

The 40-year-old talked about his lacklustre main roster run since his 2022 Raw debut. Tommaso Ciampa believed that he was actually a better performer now than a few years ago, but people were not giving him the credit for it. The desire to prove himself as such, led to him jumping ship:

“For a long time, I had to listen to people tell me, not so much directly to my face but more so online, that 2018 was prime Ciampa. I’m a hundred times better now than I was then. That was nothing. That was absolutely nothing.

I’m physically better. I’m mentally sharper. My storytelling, my psychology is on a whole different level than it was back then… what people are about to see is going to blow their minds. It’s gonna shock the world, because I finally have a shot to find out if I’m as good as I think I am.”

Tommaso Ciampa answered the open challenge issued by TNT Champion Mark Briscoe upon his AEW debut. The match between the two is set to take place on AEW Collision this Saturday.

  • Multiple Names Confirmed To Be In Saudi Arabia Ahead of Royal Rumble

Triple H has promised surprises for the Royal Rumble, and at least a couple of them seem to have been revealed ahead of the show.

Tiffany Stratton is one name that has been highly speculated to make her return to the company, and now Fightful Select has confirmed that the former Women\’s Champion is indeed in Saudi Arabia ahead of the upcoming PLE.

The young star has not been seen on WWE TV since November, with the belief that she has been dealing with an injury. Her last match was against Jade Cargill at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, where she dropped the title to the former AEW star.

Not only that, but Mr. Iguana is also in the Middle Eastern country per the report. The AAA star had a breakthrough year in 2025 after WWE\’s acquisition of the promotion, and has been featured on WWE programming multiple times since then.

On the NXT side, both Sol Ruca and Lola Vice have been discussed for the Women\’s Royal Rumble. Though there is no confirmation on if either of them have travelled with the WWE crew.

There are also some names that have been confirmed to be missing out on the upcoming show, including a former world champion. You can check out more about it here.

  • Kevin Owens Status For Royal Rumble Confirmed

Amid rumors and speculations on which surprise names fans can expect at the Royal Rumble PPV from Saudi Arabia, atleast two WWE names have been confirmed to not be making the trip.

Michin took to social media on Thursday morning to announce that she will be hosting a Royal Rumble watch party this Saturday at a Dave & Buster\’s in Orlando, Florida.

What\’s more, the former Mia Yim noted that fellow WWE star Kevin Owens will be joining her for this event, confirming that neither of them are travelling to the Middle Eastern country for the latest PLE:

Michin suffered an injury during the WWE post-Christmas Holiday tour last month. She had been wrestling Women\’s Champion Jade Cargill before being pulled off the road.

Kevin Owens announced back in April 2025 that he would be stepping away from the ring due to a neck injury. Joe Hendry replaced him in his scheduled WrestleMania 41 match against Randy Orton, and Owens has been out of action ever since.

There is no word on the potential timetable of return for either of these stars, but the announcement confirms that they won\’t be a part of the Royal Rumble PPV this Saturday.

  • Former Champion Officially Done With WWE

    Tommaso Ciampa has left WWE.

The former NXT Champion had announced that he would be exiting the company after 11 years on January 21, but not revealed the exact date of his departure.

Now the company itself has confirmed the former DIY member\’s status by moving his profile to the alumni section on their website:

Ciampa has launched a new Pro Wrestling Tees store as well, featuring merch with catchphrases he trademarked earlier in the month in preparation of his career after WWE.

Johnny Gargano, the longtime DIY partner and rival of Tommaso Ciampa is believed to be staying with the company, effectively ending their tag team run.

It\’s unknown what Ciampa is planning for his career next but the 40-year-old has given no indication that he is in a hurry to sign a new deal with a rival brand. It\’s likely we\’ll see him back in the independent circuit before a bigger career move.

  • Potential Spoiler On Royal Rumble Surprises

WWE is planning some surprises for Royal Rumble.

The belief is that the company will be able to protect surprises better heading into the PPV from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, because of more private flying arrangements and fewer collectors hounding the airports. Now, PWInsider has revealed a couple of names that are in discussion for the show.

According to the site, there has been talks about The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, making an appearance at the event. The former World Champion has not been seen on WWE programming since the Survivor Series PPV where he helped the Vision win the WarGames match.

On the women\’s side, it\’s believed that Tiffany Stratton will also be returning at the PLE. The former Women\’s Champion has been away from the ring since Jade Cargill ended her 302-day run with the title during the November 1, 2025 edition of Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

Apart from this, LA Knight, who has been kept away from WWE programming after a beatdown at the hands of Vision, is speculated to make a Royal Rumble appearance. This comes after construction images emerging from the arena for the upcoming event showed a YEAH! sign lying around.

Which surprise name are you expecting to see at the PPV this Saturday? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Kit Wilson Details Origin of Viral Theme Song

Kit Wilson had a lot of input in his theme song.

The WWE star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. He discussed things such as the formation of Pretty Deadly, their start in the company, his partner\’s neck injury and more.

When asked about his new theme becoming popular among fans, Wilson noted that they wanted the song to be catchy so that it would click with people:

“Yeah, it’s super catchy. That was what I was going for. That was what I was hoping for. I didn’t think I realized how catchy it was going to be, and how much it’s kind of clicked on and sat with people, but I’m not complaining.”

Having been added to Spotify only last month, the tune called Man Up has already received over half a million hits. When asked how much input he had in the creation of it, Kit Wilson revealed that it was actually he who pushed for the new music once he found out that he would be entering singles\’ competition due to Elton Prince\’s injury. Once it was approved, he started discussing the tune with Def Rebel and gave them several ideas:

“So I ended up having a fair amount of input. I was pushing for new music when I kind of found out what the situation was going to be and maybe I was going to go solo, I started messaging a lot, saying I would love new music. Can I get new music? Then eventually I got into contact with Neil, I believe, and then he called me. We had little discussion on the phone. He said, ‘What kind of thing are you looking for?’ So I said, ‘Can I send you an email?’ Got off the phone, and I started writing this email, just with all my references, with all the songs I like, with all the ideas I had.\”

Wilson also noted that he had wrestled a number of matches on Main Event in the second half of 2025. This allowed him to continue tuning in his presentation, including not only his theme but his entrance graphics as well before he started using it on SmackDown.

  • Becky Lynch Hates ICE Because It Hurts People

Becky Lynch says ice is very dangerous.

The Women\’s IC Champion posted a video on her Instagram before this week\’s Raw from Toronto. The short Vlog highlighted the various countries she has visited with WWE in recent weeks. While talking about her latest stop in Canada, the Man declared that she was not a fan of the weather there at all, and that she hated all the ICE:

“I’m out here in Toronto as the world tour; the World New Face of Justice Tour continues. It’s disgusting. Disgusting out here. It’s filled with snow. There’s lots of ice. I don’t like ice. I hate ice, actually. It’s very dangerous. It hurts people. But the tour continues.”

This video comes only a couple of days after the latest incident involving the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, more commonly referred to as ICE. The incident led to the demise of 37-year-old Minneapolis resident Alex Jeffrey Pretti.

Becky Lynch is not the first wrestling name to refer to the recent events in the US, as a number of talents related to WWE and AEW have raised their voice. Most recently, Andrade talked about the inhuman treatment of immigrants by federal agencies. You can check out what he said here.

  • Finn Balor Snaps After Being Denied Royal Rumble Entry

    Finn Balor has snapped.

The Judgment Day star had unsuccessfully challenged CM Punk for the World Title on last week\’s Raw. The Straight Edge Star had shown respect to the fellow veteran after the bout.

The Monday Night show this week then featured another segment between the two where they both praised each other. Punk then told Balor to think about his legacy and ditch the Judgment Day.

The former Universal Champion later went to see Adam Pearce and declared himself for the Royal Rumble match. The Raw GM, however, told the former Bullet Club leader that the spots were filled and he could not give Balor entry into the battle royal.

After this and a subsequent backstage confrontation with Liv Morgan, Finn Balor finally had enough. He ended up attacking CM Punk during the main event of the show, where AJ Styles was challenging the World Champion for his title.

The former NJPW star delivered three back-to-back Coup de Graces to the defending champion and ended the night standing tall over him.

Punk is currently not booked for a match at Saturday\’s Royal Rumble PPV but he\’s unlikely to be left out the card for the Saudi Arabian show. It\’s possible that a rematch between Punk and Balor will be announced soon after tonight\’s segment.

  • Hall of Famer Says Trick Williams Makes Him Want to Wrestle Again

Mark Henry is a fan of Trick Williams.

The former NXT Champion has officially been on the main roster for less than a month, but he has already started making his mark. With his work against the likes of Rey Fénix, Matt Cardona and Randy Orton, the 31-year-old has impressed many people.

This list includes none other than WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry. The World\’s Strongest Man offered some big praise to the WWE rookie on Busted Open Radio, saying that Trick Williams makes him want to wrestle again:

“It’s been a long time since I felt like coming back to wrestling. This dude walking to the ring gets me fired up. He makes me want to wrestle again. That’s the effect that Trick had on me. Man, it’s the energy and the smugness, like the dude’s got it. He talks the talk, he walks the walk, he’s got the look.”

Mark Henry never had an official retirement match, though the 54-year-old has not entered the ring since April 2018 and hasn\’t had a singles match since March 2017.

Williams once again showcased his abilities while going up against the likes of Randy Orton, Sami Zayn and Damian Priest at Saturday Night\’s Main Event this week. You can check out the highlights of the match below:

  • Backstage News On Recent Change To WWE Creative Team

WWE has received criticism in recent months for the handling of John Cena\’s retirement run, among other storylines. It appears that the negative reviews have prompted the company to make some behind-the-scene changes.

According to reports from PWinsider, the company has made some creative adjustments recently, with Vice President of Creative Writing Ryan Ward now overseeing the agenda for both Raw and SmackDown.

Road Dogg is now said to be sharing the responsibility of SmackDown with John Swikata as co-leads, while Alexandra Williams and Jonathan Baeckstrom have similar role on the Raw side.

Alexandra Williams is someone who has worked closely with CM Punk since the former AEW star\’s return to the company. Baeckstrom previously served as the lead writer for 205 Live.

It\’s unknown if the changes are related to the reports of WWE overhauling the creative plans for WrestleMania 42 recently, right before Drew McIntyre beat Cody Rhodes for the WWE title.

The Scottish Warrior now has a new challenger for his WWE championship after tonight\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event. You can check out more about it here.

  • WWE Confident in Saudi Arabia Plans As Joe Tessitore Misses SNME Over Bad Weather

Joe Tessitore missed Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

Stephanie McMahon hosted tonight\’s WWE event from Montreal, Canada, alone. In her opening statement, the former WWE Executive revealed that Tessitore could not attend the show because he was stuck in Detroit due to bad weather:

\”Ladies and gentlemen, I\’m Stephanie McMahon, and I\’m incredibly proud to be your host here tonight. My partner Joe Tessitore is unfortunately stuck in an airport in Detroit, MI, where the United States is facing some of the worst weather it has in decades.\”

    WWE Taking Precautions

The company is set to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble PPV after this Monday\’s Raw. With the weather causing delays and cancellations of flights across the East Coast, there had been some speculation that it could also affect the lineup for the upcoming PLE.

Though Fightful Select is reporting that the officials are not expecting the weather to affect the upcoming show. According to them, WWE reps have claimed that they have backup options for backup options, in order to make sure the Saudi Arabia tour goes as planned.

WWE receives significant money from the Kingdom for the shows, and an event like the Royal Rumble is bound to include a bonus on top of the regular event fee.

So it\’s not a surprise that the promotion would have planned for every possibility that can be a cause for concern. You can check out the latest match added to Royal Rumble after tonight\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event here.

  • Watch: What Happened With Sami Zayn After SNME Went Off Air

Sami Zayn is ready for the world title.

The Ultimate Underdog picked up a huge victory at tonight\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event from his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The former NXT Champion went up against Randy Orton, Trick Williams, and Damian Priest in a hard-fought match, and finally pinned Priest with a Helluva Kick to secure himself a title match.

The WWE Champion Drew McIntyre tried to spoil Zayn\’s victory with a sneak attack, but Sami managed to fend him off. The show went off air with The Scottish Psychopath retreating to the stage as his challenger celebrated in the ring.

    Sami Zayn Speaks

Sami Zayn stuck around after the broadcast ended to speak with the crowd about his victory. He started his promo with some words in French before turning to English.

Upon a \’You Deserve It\’ chant, Sami told the crowd that it was them who deserved it for supporting him. He then discussed how momentum is very important in winning big matches and told Montreal that he wouldn\’t have won the bout tonight without their support.

The 41-year-old will get his title shot against Drew McIntyre next Saturday, January 31 at the Royal Rumble PPV from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You can check out a list of confirmed entrants for both Rumble matches here.

  • Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre Set For Royal Rumble 2026

    Sami Zayn has done it.

Tonight\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event from Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, saw a big fatal four-way between Zayn, Randy Orton, Damian Priest, and Trick Williams for a shot at the WWE Championship.

Williams was the one with the least experience in the ring, but he made up for it with his IQ and he came close to winning the bout on multiple occasions.

In the end, however, it was Zayn who picked up the victory. He delivered a Helluva Kick to Priest right after the latter took out Trick. Sami then secured the victory as Orton failed to get in the ring in time to break the pin.

The Ultimate Underdog will not have to wait long to get his title shot as the match with Drew McIntyre is set to take place next Saturday, January 31, at the Royal Rumble PPV.

The crowd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, would certainly be in the corner of Sami Zayn for this match, and the big question is if the Canadian star will finally be able to end the long pursuit of his first world title at the PLE.

  • Seth Rollins Doesn\’t See A Shield Reunion Happening Anytime Soon

Seth Rollins hopes the Shield will reunite sometime in the distant future.

The Architect and his wife Becky Lynch, were recently featured in a GQ video. They discussed things such as how Lynch never really lost her title, everyone saying that Becky is the greatest wrestler of all time, WWE officials conspiring against The Man and more.

When the question of a potential Shield reunion came up, Seth Rollins said the chances of it are very slim. He mentioned his on-screen rivalry with Roman Reigns but also acknowledged Jon Moxley being signed with AEW:

“Well, not a lot of love lost between myself and Roman Reigns. Dean Ambrose—Jon Moxley—not currently with the company. Don’t know if he’s ever coming back. I would say the chances are very slim.\”

    One Day: Seth Rollins

Rollins then expressed the hope that all three of them can share the stage once again somewhere down the line for a Hall of Fame induction, before joking about potentially including Kurt Angle in their reunion:

\”Maybe one day there will be a Hall of Fame induction where all three of us will be in the same place at the same time. I would say we’re looking at, like, maybe Kurt Angle has a better chance.”

The Olympic Gold Medalist became an honorary member of the Shield when he filled in for Roman Reigns at the 2017 TLC event. This unlikely trio went on to defeat Braun Strowman, The Miz, Kane, Cesaro, and Sheamus in a 3-on-5 Handicap TLC match.

During a recent interview with Inside The Ring, the new champion was asked about the reactions he has seen to his victory. Answering the question, Drew McIntyre detailed a recent incident where a fan tried to attack him because of his win over Rhodes:

“Somebody won a raffle to meet a superstar backstage and they asked me to do. I said, ‘Are you sure? Cody is on the show.’ He’s the big good guy, I’m kind of controversial in the middle guy. ‘No, no, no, everyone wants to see you.’ The guy came back and lunged at me saying, ‘That’s Cody’s title.’ Swung at me. Security had to get between us.\”

    It Was Great: Drew McIntyre

Though Drew McIntyre claimed that he was then able to calm the person down enough to get him a picture with the championship belt. The WWE star also suggested that he was not put off by this incident, proclaiming that he wants more fans like these who are passionate:

\”I calmed him down. We got a picture together, a picture with the title. He was genuinely upset. It was great. Because I knew he was legitimately upset, as soon as we took the picture, he started mouthing off again, so I stepped back, moved the security guard between us, raised the title, laughed, and ran off like a child,”

The new WWE Champion is set to defend his title at next Saturday\’s Royal Rumble event. You can check out how his challenger will be determined here.

  • Andrade Comments On Immigration Crackdown In US

Andrade has commented on the treatment of immigrants in US.

During a recent Highspots Virtual signing, the AEW star who hails from Mexico was asked if there were any charities or causes that he thinks fans should learn more about. While keeping his remarks brief, Andrade mentioned that he feels bad about the treatment of Latin people and other immigrants by the current US Administration:

“So, I don’t wanna speak so much, but now with what happened with the immigrant—immigration and all these things happened so…Because I’m immigrant, I’m from Mexico, so I feel bad for all these Latin people, people from [other] countries.”

The current US regime under Donald Trump has received widespread criticism for its treatment of immigrants, among other policies, since the WWE Hall of Famer assumed office.

Wrestling names such as Brody King, Hangman Page, and CM Punk have shared messages against the tactics of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Many legends have also raised concern. This includes Mick Foley who has severed ties with WWE over their relationship with the Trump Government as well as Jesse Ventura who had recently explained why he refuses to call the US President by his name. You can check out more of what he said here.

Sobic had been close to the Khan family and had been working with Tony Khan for years. He had been part of the AEW team since the inception of the company in 2019 and worked in a \’strategic role\’ with the Jacksonville Jaguars before that.

Nik Sobic played a key role in the development of the AEW Fight Forever video game in his capacity and worked closely with the likes of Adam Cole and Kenny Omega to bring it to life.

After some delay, the game was released in 2023, though it failed to achieve the financial or critical success that the company had hoped.

It\’s unknown if the failure of the game contributed to Sobic\’s departure from the company. When reached out, AEW said that they did not comment on personnel decisions.
