  • AEW Champion Jumping Ship To WWE (Report)

WWE is set to add a powerhouse to their roster.

According to latest update from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the contract of AEW star Will Hobbs is set to expire this Wednesday and he will be entering free agency at midnight. The former TNT Champion is believed to be on his way to WWE, with sources within the company expecting him to join the promotion soon.

AEW officials had the intention of retaining the services of the heavyweight star and negotiations have been going on between the two sides for some time. While Tony Khan is said to have made a \’substantial\’ offer for him to remain with the promotion, Powerhouse Hobbs decided to explore free agency instead.

Despite the decision, however, the former champion is not parting ways with the company on bad terms. This is reflected in his recent booking as well, with Hobbs being featured regularly on TV in recent months as part of The Opps faction.

Having made his wrestling debut back in 2009, Hobbs spent 11 years in the independent circuit before AEW brought him on board in 2020. He has been part of factions such as Team Taz and Don Callis Family in the promotion. It\’s unknown what WWE is planning for the wrestling star but we should get an idea soon.

Hobbs also holds the AEW Trios title with his Opps partners. You can check out spoilers on how AEW is dealing with that situation here.

  • AEW Confirms Big Faction Signing

The Rascalz are coming to AEW.

The group of Myron Reed, Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, & Trey Miguel recently became free agents after their contracts with TNA wrestling came to an end.

Tony Khan did not give people a long time to speculate on their status; however, as AEW teased the arrival of the popular faction on this week\’s episode of Dynamite:

Myron Reed was originally scheduled to face TNA X-Division champion Leon Slater on Impact\’s AMC debut this Thursday. Though the company cancelled this match without an explanation, just a couple of days before the show.

Now, the latest AEW announcement provides a potential resolution to this mystery. With TNA having partnered up with WWE in the past couple of years, it seems logical that the AEW deal would bar the former champion from making an appearance for the rival brand.

There is no word on when or where the Rascalz are expected to make their in-person debut for Tony Khan\’s promotion. Stay tuned for more updates.

  • Kenny Omega Set For First Singles Match In 6 Months

Kenny Omega is making a return to one-on-one competition.

The former world champion had revealed his intention to go after the AEW title once again recently after ending his temporary partnership with the Young Bucks. He then interrupted the celebration of the new title holder, MJF, with a video message.

The company revealed the next step in his quest to win singles gold again on this week\’s Dynamite, announcing that Omega will be going up against Josh Alexander during the January 21 episode of the show.

The 42-year-old has been dealing with complications from his 2023 diverticulitis diagnosis in the past couple of years. After spending the whole of 2024 away from the ring, he wrestled only 16 bouts in 2025, with most of them being multi-man matches to protect the Cleaner from taking too much damage.

The fight against Alexander is the first singles match for the Best Bout Machine in six months after he faced Kazuchika Okada at All In Texas in July last year. It\’s likely to determine whether the wrestling veteran can pull off a singles run in his current condition.

  • John Cena Comments On The \’Perfect\’ Ending To His Gunther Match

John Cena believes the reaction to his Gunther match was perfect.

The majority of the fans were unhappy with the Cenation Leader tapping out in his retirement match, after building a career on the motto of never giving up. A number of his peers have defended this decision since then, however, explaining why it was the right ending to the legendary career.

The 17-time world champion addressed the criticism of this choice during an appearance on Fan Expo New Orleans this week. He first thanked the fans for being vocal with their opinion:

“Thank you for being vocal enough to express how you felt because every moment can be a teachable moment. My job is to try to put together a story that I think you all will enjoy. When there’s critical opinion out there, I’m all ears. I don’t ignore the critics, I’m thankful for them for DC and every match I had before that.\”

    Been My Story: John Cena

John Cena then mentioned how the reaction to the whole thing perfectly parallels his career in wrestling. He said that the difference of opinion has been his story for the longest time:

\”I guess kind of parallel to my career, I think it was a perfect end because a whole lot of people thought it sucked, and a whole lot of people thought it was special. And that’s kind of been my story for 23 years. So I thought it was perfect.”

The former champion has remained busy in his life after saying goodbye to in-ring action. You can check out details of a new Netflix project he is working on here.

  • Roman Reigns Cousin Believes The Rock Match Is Still On The Table

Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is a match that has been talked about for more than a decade, but has never actually taken place despite the efforts of many. It came the closest to becoming a reality at WrestleMania 40, but the popularity of Cody Rhodes forced the Hollywood star to check himself and the company to change direction back to the American Nightmare\’s crowning as the new face of the company.

Still, there are many who believe that the match between the two cousins is still likely to take place. Among them is Lloyd Anoa’i, a cousin of the two mega stars. He expressed this opinion during a recent interview with PWMania, saying that it\’s not off the table:

\”I’d love to see it. That match would be a record-breaker. WWE teased it before and pivoted, which I thought was smart, but I don’t think it’s off the table. Even if The Rock isn’t wrestling full-time, he’ll be back in some capacity. The storylines in WWE always leave room for surprises.\”

Roman Reigns was last seen on WWE programming during the Survivor Series event. He hinted at renewing his rivalry with Cody Rhodes at the time after losing the WarGames match to The Vision.

Latest report suggests, however, that the company has made a recent pivot to the WrestleMania direction, and the rematch between the two arch rivals is now unlikely for the show of shows. You can check out more about it here.

  • Liv Morgan Addresses Dominik Mysterio\’s WWE Absence

Liv Morgan says Daddy Dom will be back soon.

The reigning Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion has been off TV the last few weeks, with WWE announcing that he was \’out indefinitely\’ with a shoulder injury.

The fellow Judgment Day star addressed the status of the young wrestling veteran on RAW Recap. Liv Morgan claimed that Dominik Mysterio is home resting and suggested that he will be back on TV soon enough:

“Daddy Dom, he’s home resting. He’s just recovering. We’re just playing it safe, you know? He is, after all, our double champion. He is, as of right now, the crown jewel of The Judgment Day, so we protect and cater to Daddy Dom, and we’re just playing it safe with him. He’ll be back soon, but he’s doing some well-deserved R&R.\”

Dominik Mysterio suffered the shoulder injury while taking a DDT from his father Rey Mysterio, during a tag team match under the AAA banner last month.

Reports also suggest that the IC champion is not expected to stay out for long. The belief is that he will be back on WWE programming for the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV from Saudi Arabia.

  • Chelsea Green Pitches WWE Unreal Spinoff

A number of current stars have spoken against the idea of WWE Unreal and their unease about divulging information about the business, which was considered sacred until this point. This isn\’t the case for Chelsea Green, however, who is happy to get even more spotlight on her and the women\’s locker room if possible.

The former Women\’s US Champion spoke about her enthusiasm during a recent interview with Page Six Radio to promote the S2 of the Netflix exclusive.

Chelsea Green proposed the idea of an Unreal spin-off focused on the Women\’s locker room during the talk, showcasing the lives of the various female stars:

\”If we had an unreal that was just the girls\’ locker room, which I would absolutely love. Let\’s put it into the universe. It would be interesting because I think 99.9% of us really get along. And we don\’t just get along. Like we really like to travel together.\”

Who Actually Doesn\’t Like Me: Chelsea Green

The idea is very similar to the highly successful Total Divas reality show, which ran for 9 seasons and was later spun off into Total Bellas. Green joked that it would also help her figure out which members of the locker room don\’t really like her:

\”We like to have our martinis together. We support each other when someone wins a title. You know, we\’re excited for each other, but like, it\’s still work. It\’s still a locker room. There are still so many different personalities. So it would be interesting to see who actually doesn\’t like me.\”

Chelsea Green later mentioned how Giulia almost took off her hair extension during their most recent segment, and suggested that something like that would have made a great story for the spin-off show.

Ava Reveals Fate of NXT Championship After Oba Femi

  • AJ Lee Breaks Silence On Larry\’s Passing

AJ Lee has commented on the passing of Larry.

CM Punk had originally announced the passing of his beloved dog back in early December last year, leading to an outpouring of tributes from both his peers and fans. The female star on the other hand had been silent about his passing until this week when she penned down a long and emotional message for Larry.

AJ Lee mentioned that the beloved dog brought chaos to their house, stealing entire pizzas and donuts off countertops and generally being very active. All this only made the couple fall deeper in love with him however, with Lee crediting him for getting her out of her deepest depressive cycles:

He stole entire pizzas and donuts off countertops and swallowed them whole like a snake. One time a little abuela saw him on the street, clutched her chest, and yelled “El Chupacabra!” He helped get me out of the deepest depressive cycles and was the center of my happiest days.

Punk has continued celebrating the life of Larry in various ways as well. This includes honoring him with a special pizza at Piece Chicago, with proceeds going to PAWS Chicago, as well as getting a new tattoo in his memory.

The Straight Edge star most recently wrestled during the January 5 Raw where he picked up a victory over Bron Breakker. He is set for another World title defence next week, and you can check out more details about it here.

  • TNA Cancels Title Match Days Before AMC Debut

TNA appears to have cancelled a title match.

The company is set to make its AMC debut this week with the January 15 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT from the Curtis Curwell Center in Garland, Texas.

They had booked multiple big title matches for this show, including one between the X-Division Champion Leon Slater and Myron Reed.

In the updated lineup shared on social media on Tuesday, however, the company did not include this bout, suggesting that it has been pulled from the card:

Reports suggest that the challenger Reed, along with his other Rascalz partners, Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, and Trey Miguel, became free agents recently after their contract expired.

TNA has re-signed names such as Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali recently. It appears that the officials were confident about a similar deal with Myron, but things did not go as they hoped.

Though the company still has a strong line up for the upcoming episode, which includes the return of a big TNA original. You can check out more about it here.

  • Returning Star Confronts Blake Monroe On NXT

Jaida Parker is back, and she is looking to make a big impact.

This week\’s episode of NXT featured Blake Monroe in a promo segment where she discussed not being the Women\’s North American Champion anymore.

She was interrupted by Jaida Parker, who received a big applause from the crowd. Monroe did not care for Parker, however, and she attacked the returning star as she looked to cut a promo.

The two women brallwed and in the end, it was Jaida Parker who got the upper hand over the former AEW star to end the segment.

Jaida has not wrestled on TV since October last year, when she took part in a #1 contender battle royal. She has continued wrestling on house shows for the brand, so it doesn\’t appear that her absence since then was injury-related.

Apart from this, the latest development episode featured the announcement of multiple new signings as well as the confirmation of the fate of the NXT title after Oba Femi. You can check out more about it here.

  • Ava Reveals Fate of NXT Championship After Oba Femi

An exciting way to determine the new NXT Champion.

NXT General Manager Ava had the responsibility to figure out a way to crown the new NXT Champion after Oba Femi relinquished the title on the way to the main roster.

After asking fans for unique ideas to solve this problem, the WWE authority figure settled on the time-tested method of a ladder match scheduled for the February 3 episode of the show.

Ava confirmed that the ladder match will feature 6 contestants with qualifying matches starting next week. Later in the night, the company announced Sean Legacy vs. Eli Knight and Josh Briggs vs. Shiloh Hill as the first two qualifying bouts taking place on January 20.

Ricky Saints, the man who had defeated Oba Femi for the NXT title before dropping it back to him, interestingly announced that he did not need to qualify and that he will be part of the title match.

NXT has used ladder matches in the past to settle championship questions. This includes the famous 2018 match, which saw Adam Cole defeating the likes of Ricochet and Velveteen Dream to become the inaugural North American Champion.

The brand also announced several new signings during the latest episode, and it\’s possible that some of those names will be in the race for the title opportunity too. You can check out the full list of new NXT signings here.

  • WWE Made Major Changes To WrestleMania 42 Plans Recently (Report)

WWE has shaken up the plans for WrestleMania 42.

The company had teased a rematch between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at Survivor Series: WarGames this past November. The fans were left surprised, however, when Drew McIntyre ended up beating Rhodes for the WWE title on SmackDown this past week.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer provided an update on how this affects the standings for the Show of Shows. He claimed that the officials made some big changes recently. They revamped the plans for the Las Vegas PPV this past Wednesday, when they decided on the SmackDown title change.

The wrestling journalist could not provide solid details on the whole matter, but he suggested that the match between The American Nightmare and The Tribal Chief is unlikely now. As for the direction for Rhodes and the title, he speculated that we could see a triple threat between Cody, Drew, and Jacob Fatu in the coming times.

The Samoan Werewolf had been slated for a #1 contender\’s match for the WWE title before being written off TV last October. So it seems likely that he will be included in the title picture moving forward, especially after attacking both Cody and Drew upon his return last week.

Since the World Heavyweight title picture also looks to be locked with the story between CM Punk and Bron Breakker, the big question is where this leaves Roman Reigns.

Who would you like The Head of The Table to fight at Mania if he does not face Cody Rhodes? Let us know in the comments below.

  • The Miz Explains Why He Does Not Enjoy \’Getting His Flowers\’

The Miz was considered a poster child of everything wrong with WWE during the PG-era, and fans did not appreciate his work for a long time. Only in the last few years have people started showing respect for everything the former World Champion has done in his career, though this has created a new problem for him.

The WWE star spoke about his career in detail with Chris Van Vliet in a new interview. Discussing his on-screen persona, The Miz explained how being a heel comes naturally to him, and it works with his character because he can lose matches and still be taken seriously as a villain. Though he noted how things have been weird for him the last couple of years because people do not want to boo him anymore:

\”It’s been weird these past couple of years, though. I would say this past year has been weird. So the things I do that I know in my rolodex of being a heel and being a bad guy, I’ll do and it doesn’t get the boos anymore. If you’re gonna cheer me, cheer me. If you’re just gonna go Ah! He’s so good. I don’t want that. I don’t want that. That’s the death, because that’s just, I don’t know what to really do.”

When asked, The Miz accepted that he does feel like the fans and his peers show him more respect than they used to. Though the wrestling veteran does not feel like this works out in his favor, claiming that the flowers he is receiving are half dead:

“Yes, I feel the respect. I feel it in the locker room. I feel it in the crowd, but I’ll hear you say it. ‘Oh, Miz has gotten his flowers.’ You know what kind of flowers I get? I get the ones that are half dead, that you give to me and they’re gonna die the next day. You don’t give me a full bouquet of flowers that are like, here are your flowers. John Cena gets the flowers. I don’t get the flowers. I get the half-dead flowers that are like, Here you go, here’s your flowers. We’re giving you your flowers. It’s the half-assed flowers.”

Apart from this, The Miz discussed things such as how losing to John Cena early in his career helped change his perspective, the day he won his first WWE title and more.

  • Ric Flair Finally Addresses Cameo Controversy

    Ric Flair is offering refunds.

The Nature Boy took to X on Monday to finally comment on negative reviews of his cameo appearances. While not naming anyone, the 16-time world champion said that \’the person\’ who is unhappy with their purchase can get a refund through his law firm:

\”I Wouldn’t Want Anyone To Have A Bad Experience As They Keep Pouring In. So To Make Things Right, I Am More Than Happy To Reimburse The Person That Seems To Be Unhappy With Their @Cameo. Please Reach Out To My Law Firm In Boston- Hartman Law. I Apologize For Not Addressing This Sooner.\”

This reaction comes almost a month after stories of Flair\’s disappointing cameo appearances became a topic of discussion, based on the negative reviews on his profile.

The most famous of these stories included a woman spending almost $1,000 for a cameo for her brother\’s wedding, only for Ric to send a drunken video asking the groom, \’Why would you get married, motherf*cker?,\’

Another complaint noted that they paid $600 to get a Christmas wish for their father, named Buff. Instead, Flair kept calling him Barf and read the instructions word for word without putting any effort.

The overall rating for Ric Flair remains high, however, so it\’s unlikely that these stories will affect his popularity on the platform.

  • Rumor Killer On Royal Rumble Delay

    Royal Rumble is not delayed.

A video allegedly showing the arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the upcoming WWE PLE is scheduled to be held, became a topic of discussion among fans recently. The footage showed the stadium being built up from the ground, being nowhere near completion. It led to rumors that the company might have to delay the upcoming show because of it.

Though PWInsider provided an update on the matter, revealing that there is nothing to the story. According to the site, the actual venue for the Royal Rumble event in the King Abdullah Financial District is near completion, and the show is expected to go on as planned.

Apart from the annual battle royal, Nick Aldis has announced a mini tournament featuring names such as Randy Orton and Matt Cardona to determine the challenger for Drew McIntyre\’s WWE title at the show.

With WWE\’s policy of limiting matches on the card, it seems unlikely that the World Heavyweight Championship will also be defended at the event. Though CM Punk is not backing away from any fights, and he\’s already accepted a challenge for next week\’s episode of Raw.

What other matches would you like to see at the upcoming WWE PPV? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Stephanie Vaquer Women\’s Title Damaged In Raw Attack

Raquel Rodriguez could not break Stephanie Vaquer\’s spirit, so she broke something else.

This week\’s episode of Raw from Germany saw Vaquer making an appearance despite her leg injury. As she was making her entrance, however, the Judgment Day star attacked the Women\’s Champion from behind.

This was the second week in a row that Rodriguez attacked Vaquer despite her injury. This time, she used the title belt itself to inflict damage on the already injured leg before leaving.

Stephanie Vaquer later revealed on her Instagram that the attack did damage not only to her but also to her title belt. Rodriguez commented on the whole thing on X as well:

Raquel Rodriguez had been defeated by the reigning champion in a triple threat title match also involving Nikki Bella during the December 29 episode of Raw. She has kept her rivalry with the former CMLL star alive, believing that she is owed a singles match for the belt. Though the same has not been announced so far.

  • Adam Pearce Suspends Vision Star After Physical Confrontation

Adam Pearce has suspended Bron Breakker after a heated confrontation.

The January 12 episode of Raw, coming live from Düsseldorf, Germany, featured the duo of Bronson Reed and Austin Theory in action. Their match against Penta and Dragon Lee could not reach its conclusion as Bron Breakker appeared out of nowhere and took out both the masked stars with spears.

An angry Adam Pearce stopped Breakker mid-way through his run. Things only got more chaotic with his appearance, however, as Bronson Reed took out Penta with a Tsunami while the Raw General Manager was engaged with Bron. The former NXT champion then delivered another devastating spear to Lee.

Things came to a head when Breakker got physical with the Authority figure himself, shoving him in a corner before the rest of the Vision pulled him back. This was the final straw for Pearce, and the GM announced that he is suspending the former champion for an indefinite period.

The last time a WWE superstar was suspended for his actions, he ended up beating Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Does the same fate await Breakker and the counterpart Raw Champion CM Punk? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Drew McIntyre Comments On Potential Chris Jericho Return

Drew McIntyre wants Chris Jericho to do what makes him happy.

While the wrestling community is certain that the former AEW champion is on his way back to WWE, nobody has a clear idea of when or how it will actually happen. Nonetheless, people continue to speculate on what the best way to reintroduce Y2J on WWE programming is, after he did not show up at the January 5 Raw as many hoped.

The Scottish Warrior himself professed to have no idea about what the wrestling veteran is planning when asked by TMZ. All he wants is for his friend to do what makes him happy:

\”Chris Jericho is one of my friends. I spent a lot of my youth with him. He\’s a massive, massive star, and at this point in his life and career, whatever makes him happy makes me happy. He\’s gonna make a huge splash wherever he goes. If it\’s for us, why not?\”

Though Drew McIntyre might have to rethink this sentiment after tonight. The new WWE Champion certainly will be the target of any new or returning name who is looking to make an impact on the SmackDown roster as we head into the WrestleMania season.

Someone like Chris Jericho would most definitely love to add another accolade to his illustrious career upon his homecoming. So the two old friends might find themselves on the opposite end if Jericho does return to the Endeavor-owned promotion

Would you like Chris Jericho vs. Drew McIntyre to be the direction heading into the WrestleMania season? Let us know in the comments below.

  • CM Punk Denies Trolling Kevin Nash With Viral Video

CM Punk most definitely did not troll Kevin Nash.

The WWE Hall of Famer had criticised Punk for not taking off his shirt during his match on the December 22 episode of Raw. A house show video went viral not long afterward, showing the Straight Edge Star removing his shirt only to reveal another shirt underneath it.

Though the current WWE star denied the whole thing being a shot at the Kliq member while speaking to Sam Roberts. CM Punk claimed that it was just good old-fashioned house show fun:

“Yeah, and it’s not that deep. That was to pop the guy I was wrestling. Doesn’t go any deeper than that but, you know, somebody’s always gotta throw their two cents in and, ‘No, no, no, what he was doing was –’ no, no, no. I made dude laugh, and that’s what house shows are for.\”

I\’m Like King of Ribs: CM Punk

CM Punk reminded people of a similar house show incident from last year\’s Madison Square Garden event, where he made the save for Damian Priest in a shower cap and bath towel:

\”I’m like king of ribs on house shows. Last year at The Garden, I’m running out in a towel, soaking wet with a shower cap on. Come on, I’m trying to (make people laugh). Some people really wanna be miserable though. I’m trying not to be. I’m really, really trying.”

This is the second time in the last few days Punk has recommended that people enjoy what is in front of them instead of thinking too much and upsetting themselves. Whether fans actually take the hint, is a different matter.

Do you believe this explanation from the former AEW star? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Watch: What Happened With Cody Rhodes After SmackDown Went Off Air

Cody Rhodes did not expect to be walking out of tonight\’s SmackDown from Berlin, Germany, without his WWE title.

A combination of Jacob Fatu surprising everyone with his return and Drew McIntyre being the ultimate opportunist, however, meant that Cody\’s second reign with the belt unexpectedly came to an end at 159 days on the show.

McIntyre was very pleased with himself after this victory; the American Nightmare, on the other hand, was understandably distraught with the result. He played his part perfectly even after the show went off air, sulking all the way to the entrance ramp as he made his way back:

Nick Aldis has already announced his plans for determining the new challenger for the WWE title heading into Royal Rumble, with names such as Randy Orton and Matt Cardona getting an opportunity to enter the title picture.

Cody Rhodes losing the championship tonight adds another twist to this story, and we\’ll have to see what his WrestleMania direction looks like after tonight.

  • Jacob Fatu Makes Surprise SmackDown Return In Berlin

    Jacob Fatu is back!

The Samoan Werewolf had been written off TV with a mysterious backstage attack in October due to a legitimate injury. He was supposed to face Drew McIntyre in a #1 contender\’s match for Cody Rhodes\’ WWE title before being put on the shelf.

So it was only natural that the former Bloodline star made an impact in the title picture upon his return during tonight\’s SmackDown from Berlin, Germany.

The main event of the show featured Drew McIntyre challenging Cody Rhodes for the belt in a Three Stages of Hell match. The third stage was a Steel Cage match after both the champion and the challenger had picked up a fall each in the previous two stages.

The injured star made his surprise return towards the end of the bout, and he first attacked McIntyre. Jacob Fatu, however, then also went after Cody Rhodes. This unexpected move from the former US champion allowed McIntyre to take advantage, and he ended up escaping the cage to win the match and the title.

The events of tonight only served to deepen the mystery behind Fatu\’s attacker and we\’ll have to see who is finally revealed to be the name behind the act.

  • Randy Orton and More Included In WWE Title Plans For Royal Rumble

WWE has announced a new mini tournament.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis revealed his plan to find a fresh contender for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble 2026 during the Friday night show this week.

He announced 4 separate qualifying matches set to take place at the January 16 episode of the Blue Branded show from London, including names such as Randy Orton and Matt Cardona:

    • Randy Orton vs. The Miz
    • Matt Cardona vs. Trick Williams
    • Damian Priest vs. Solo Sikoa
    • Sami Zayn vs. Ilja Dragunov

The winners of these bouts will then meet in a fatal four-way #1 contender\’s match at the January 24 edition of Saturday Night\’s Main Event from Montreal, Canada.

The announced plan is for the winner to go on to challenge for the title at the January 31 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Things have been made a little more complicated, however, with a surprise return and a title change in the main event of tonight\’s show. You can check out more about it here.

  • NXT Star Officially Joins SmackDown

Jordynne Grace is officially a main roster star.

NXT General Manager Ava had revealed this past Tuesday that Grace was one of the names who had moved up from the development brand, but she had not revealed which show the former Knockouts Champion had joined.

This week\’s SmackDown from Berlin, Germany, then saw General Manager Nick Aldis officially welcoming the former champion as the newest member of the show\’s roster. When Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre interrupted the two, Aldis booked Jordynne Grace in her debut match against Fyre.

The debuting star went on to pick up a quick victory in the match that took place later in the night. After the bout, however, Grace was confronted by the Women\’s Champion Jade Cargill. The reigning champion had previously warned the WWE rookie against joining the brand and we\’ll have to see how things progress between the two.

  • Drew McIntyre Reacts After Surprising WWE Title Victory Over Cody Rhodes

Drew McIntyre is not bored anymore.

The Scottish Warrior finally became world champion once again during the latest SmackDown episode, after chasing the title for months.

Breaking his silence on social media after his big win, Drew referenced his viral tweet from April 2025 that had garnered over 40 million views, saying that he is not bored at work anymore:

Cody Rhodes defended his WWE title against his former tag team partner from Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany in a Three Stages of Hell match. Drew McIntyre picked up the first fall in a regular match after low-blowing the defending champion. Cody came back with a fall of his own in the following Falls Count Anywhere stage, after putting McIntyre through the announce desk.

The third fall, which was contested inside a Steel Cage, saw both stars kicking out of each other\’s finishers to keep people guessing till the end. Jacob Fatu, who was mysteriously attacked backstage during a SmackDown episode in October, made his surprise return during the ending sequence of the match.

Fatu first attacked McIntyre, who he was supposed to face in a #1 contenders match before being taken out. He then went after Rhodes, however, allowing Drew the opening he needed to slip out of the cage and become the new champion.

  • Kelani Jordan Reacts To Fiancé Carmelo Hayes Winning US Title

Kelani Jordan is proud of Carmelo Hayes.

The former NXT star had to wait a long time to get his first big accolade on the WWE main roster. Despite being a triple crown champion in NXT, Hayes did not win any belts in almost 2 years after his main roster debut. He finally got the reward for his patience and connection with the crowd last month, when he defeated Ilja Dragunov to win the US championship.

Hayes\’ fiancé and current NXT star Kelani Jordan, was asked what this win means for him during her recent interview with No-Contest Wrestling. She said that she was very proud of Carmelo, claiming that she has not seen someone more passionate about the business:

“I’m so proud of him… I don’t wanna say I’m biased but, really, honestly, he’s such a great person. He works really hard. I’ve never seen someone more passionate about this business and what he does. He studies all the time, he works hard, he’s in the gym.\”

It Wasn\’t Handed To Him: Kelani Jordan

The victory of Carmelo Hayes was celebrated by fans and his peers alike, with even Dragunov showing respect to his opponent after losing the title. Kelani Jordan mentioned how her fiancé worked extra hard for this, and nothing was handed to him:

\”He sometimes even does extra ring with me, not only to help me, but just to make sure he’s in shape for his matches when he doesn’t really need to be. He’s in great shape. So I’m just super proud of him because I wanna say he never — it wasn’t handed to him. He definitely earned it and I feel like he definitely paid his dues, and of course his talent speaks for itself but, he has a genuine heart and so, I’m super proud of him.”

Carmelo Hayes defeated Johnny Gargano in his first US title defence during the January 2 SmackDown. He has been facing the Miz at recent house shows, but there is no word on who will challenge Hayes for the belt next.
