The first matches have been confirmed for Forbidden Door 2026.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Swerve Strickland defeating Brody King in the main event of the show. By winning this Owen Hart Cup semifinal match, the former World Champion earned the second spot in the final of the tournament after Will Ospreay.

A promo package during the show saw Zack Sabre Jr. challenging Kenny Omega for a match at the upcoming PPV. The Cleaner accepted the challenge not long after. Omega was then also announced for a match against Bad Dude Tito at this week’s Collision.

Finally, we saw another confrontation between AEW Champion MJF and Mark Briscoe on the show. This time, however, Briscoe revealed that he talked to Tony Khan and got a 12-man steel cage match approved for Forbidden Door. Max will have to give him the World Title shot if Briscoe and his team win the match against MJF and partners of his choosing.
