WWE SmackDown Match Card for July 10, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk Appears

Punk’s Monday night return in Chicago reshaped the SummerSlam picture entirely. With Cody Rhodes unable to secure clearance following Gunther’s car door attack, Punk stepped into the number one contender’s spot and beat Sami Zayn to end the Canadian’s reign at nine days. It is Punk’s first WWE Championship in more than 13 years.

Tonight marks his first appearance as a full-time SmackDown roster member, with a title defense at U.S. Bank Stadium less than four weeks out. Zayn is also expected to have plenty to say after Monday’s loss.

Title vs. Title, Winner Take All: R-Truth and Damian Priest (c) vs. The War Raiders (c)

The blurred line between WWE and AAA reaches its logical endpoint. The War Raiders, who won the AAA World Tag Team Championships from Psycho Clown and Pagano on May 30 in Monterrey, challenged Priest and R-Truth on last week’s show with both sets of belts on the line. Nick Aldis was absent, so the match could not be made official at the time. It is now.

Priest and R-Truth captured the WWE Tag Team Championships from Tama Tonga and JC Mateo on March 20 and have held them for nearly four months. Erik and Ivar have not defended the AAA titles since winning them.

Finn Balor vs. Tama Tonga

Balor’s SmackDown arrival initially brought him into the orbit of Tama and Talla Tonga, but that alliance collapsed violently last week when the brothers ambushed Balor backstage. Tama’s explanation was that he had consulted his elders and needed a clean slate, one that erases every trace of his Bullet Club past.

Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes (Non-Title)

Williams retained the United States Championship against Ricky Saints at Night of Champions, then found his next challenger waiting. Hayes crashed the celebration demanding a rematch, only for Lil Yachty to shoot it down and point out that Hayes had already used his opportunity. The compromise is a non-title bout. The segment closed with Williams slapping Hayes across the face and Hayes answering with a dive off the ropes.

The former Trick Melo Gang partners have not shared a ring since their NXT feud. A decisive win here likely puts Hayes back in the title conversation.

Road to WWE SummerSlam 2026

SummerSlam 2026 takes place Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the promotion’s first stadium show in the city and the first SummerSlam to stream on ESPN in the United States.

Tonight sets the terms for Punk’s first defense of his new reign, with reports pointing toward a showdown against Cody Rhodes pending his medical status. Rhodes, Gunther, Oba Femi, Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton are all advertised for the broadcast.
