  • San Diego Mayor Honors WWE, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio & Nia Jax At Survivor Series

WWE made history on Saturday night as Survivor Series: WarGames became the first WWE premium live event to take place at an outdoor MLB stadium, with over 45,000 fans packing Petco Park in San Diego, California.

To commemorate the occasion, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria proclaimed November 29th as \”WWE Survivor Series Day\” in the city. Mayor Gloria also honored three hometown performers with San Diego ties: WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, his son Dominik Mysterio, and Nia Jax (Lina Fanene).

\”A HISTORIC NIGHT IN SAN DIEGO,\” Mayor Gloria wrote on social media. \”For the first time, WWE Survivor Series took over an outdoor MLB stadium — right here at Petco Park.\”

The event marked several historic firsts for the nearly 40-year-old Survivor Series franchise: the first time in an outdoor venue, the first in a stadium setting, and the first held at a Major League Baseball facility. It was also WWE\’s first premium live event in San Diego since 2008.

Dominik Mysterio Captures IC Title In Hometown

The hometown honors proved prophetic for Dominik Mysterio, who defeated John Cena to capture the WWE Intercontinental Championship in front of his San Diego fans. The victory came in what was Cena\’s final premium live event appearance of his legendary career.

The match featured a shocking twist when Liv Morgan made her surprise return to WWE. Morgan initially appeared starstruck by Cena, embracing the 16-time world champion before delivering a low blow that allowed Mysterio to score the pinfall victory and reclaim the title he lost to Cena earlier this month in Boston.

    Survivor Series: WarGames Results

The event opened with the Women\’s WarGames match, where the team of Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and AJ Lee defeated Nia Jax, Lash Legend, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane), and Becky Lynch. The finish came when AJ Lee forced Becky Lynch to submit to the Black Widow.

In championship action, Stephanie Vaquer successfully retained her Women\’s World Championship against Nikki Bella, connecting with two Devil\’s Kiss maneuvers and a corkscrew moonsault for the victory.

The main event featured the Men\’s WarGames match pitting Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and The Usos against the team of Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed with Paul Heyman in their corner.

The historic night at Petco Park continues WWE\’s momentum heading into WrestleMania season, with John Cena\’s retirement tour set to conclude at Saturday Night\’s Main Event on December 13th.

  • Liv Morgan Beat Recovery Expectations to Return Early at Survivor Series

Liv Morgan’s return at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames on Saturday wasn’t just a surprise booking decision — it was a medical triumph.

According to PWInsider, Morgan was initially expected to be cleared for in-ring action in early 2026 following her shoulder surgery. However, she exceeded expectations during her physical rehabilitation and was able to return months ahead of schedule.

Morgan underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, under the care of Dr. Jeff Dugas at Andrews Sports Medicine, with rehab overseen by Dr. Kevin Wilk of Champion Sports Medicine, who praised her as a “fantastic athlete, dedicated and great to work with.”

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DLcgi93sO32/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=b32b875a-a6cc-4836-9ee3-9c3757de9e10

The injury occurred on the June 16 episode of RAW when Morgan landed awkwardly during a match against Kairi Sane, suffering a dislocated shoulder that forced the referee to stop the contest. Reports indicated she suffered both a dislocated and separated shoulder during the bout.

Morgan’s accelerated recovery allowed her to reunite with Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series, where she helped him defeat John Cena to recapture the Intercontinental Championship. With Dom currently pulling double duty as the reigning AAA Mega Champion, the door is now open for Morgan to potentially accompany him to Mexico for upcoming appearances, including Guerra de Titanes on December 20.

The early return shakes up WWE’s year-end plans considerably, putting one of its top female stars back in the mix well ahead of the anticipated WrestleMania 42 season.

  • Liv Morgan Returns to Help Dominik Mysterio Win IC Title at Survivor Series

Dominik Mysterio is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion after defeating John Cena at Survivor Series: WarGames in San Diego on Saturday night, with a major assist from a returning Liv Morgan.

The match saw heavy interference from The Judgment Day throughout. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez accompanied Mysterio to the ring and got involved early, with Perez tripping Cena and Rodriguez taking shots at him while the referee was distracted.

    https://x.com/WWE/status/1994943176558121106?s=20

Mid-match, Mysterio appeared to suffer a legitimate injury after a botched hurricanrana left him landing badly on his neck and shoulder. As the referee checked on him and it looked like the match might be stopped, Perez and Rodriguez attacked Cena — revealing that Mysterio had been faking the injury all along. “Dirty Dom” popped up and hit Cena with a 619. The referee, angered by the deception, ejected both Perez and Rodriguez from ringside.

After Cena accidentally knocked down the referee, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh hit the ring to attack the champion. Cena fought them off and hit both men with a double Attitude Adjustment. Mysterio grabbed the title belt hoping to use it as a weapon, but Cena ducked and connected with another AA.

With no referee to count, Liv Morgan made her return to WWE. In a double swerve, Morgan initially slapped Mysterio, then turned to Cena and gave him a hug — before delivering a low blow. Morgan then blasted Cena with the Intercontinental Title, allowing Mysterio to hit a Frog Splash and secure the pinfall victory.

This marks Mysterio’s second reign as Intercontinental Champion. He originally won the title in a Fatal Four-Way at WrestleMania 41 before losing it to Cena on the November 10 episode of Raw in Boston.

For Cena, this was his final Premium Live Event appearance as he continues his retirement tour. His last match will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 against the winner of “The Last Time Is Now” tournament.

  • Jushin Thunder Liger Comes Out of Retirement, Wrestles Joey Janela at WrestleCade

Jushin Thunder Liger shocked the wrestling world on Saturday night by coming out of retirement to wrestle Joey Janela at WrestleCade in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The 61-year-old Japanese legend, who officially retired in January 2020, stepped back into the ring for a brief four-minute match against Janela during the annual WrestleCade weekend festivities at the Benton Convention Center.

    https://x.com/Indie_Mittens/status/1994903669675053141?s=20

Liger’s last official matches took place at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January 2020, where he competed over the two-night event to wrap up his legendary in-ring career. In what was billed as his final match, Liger teamed with Naoki Sano to take on Dragon Lee and Hiromu Takahashi.

The iconic masked wrestler debuted for New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 1984 and adopted the Jushin Liger gimmick in 1989, based on the anime series of the same name. Throughout his career spanning over three decades, Liger wrestled more than 4,000 matches, won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship a record 11 times, and performed for promotions around the globe including WCW in the United States.

Liger was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest junior heavyweight wrestlers of all time.

His surprise appearance at WrestleCade instantly became the talked-about highlight of the weekend, catching fans both inside the building and across social media completely off guard.

  • Watch: IYO SKY Delivers Signature Trash Can Dive at Survivor Series: WarGames

IYO SKY continued her legendary WarGames tradition Saturday night at Petco Park, launching her signature trash can dive from the top of the cage during the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2025.

    https://x.com/WWE/status/1994933073335484754?s=20

SKY perched atop the cage as AJ Lee attempted to hand her the trash can but couldn’t reach. Rhea Ripley solved the problem by lifting Lee onto her shoulders, allowing SKY to grab the can and place it over her head before launching herself with a Swanton Bomb across all the opposing competitors.

The move has become synonymous with SKY’s WarGames appearances. This marked SKY’s sixth WarGames match, making her the only wrestler on the entire roster to compete in the stipulation every year since WWE began featuring it.

The high-risk maneuver helped propel Team Rhea to victory, as AJ Lee ultimately secured the win by forcing Becky Lynch to tap out to the Black Widow. Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and AJ Lee defeated Asuka, Kairi Sane, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and Becky Lynch in the opening match of the premium live event.

SKY has previously spoken about the terrifying nature of the stunt. At a previous post-show press conference, she explained her mindset: “It’s completely…it’s so dark, I can’t see anything. But I just jump off. That’s it. So that’s it, that simple. I trust the trash can.”

Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 took place at Petco Park in San Diego, California, marking the fourth consecutive year WWE has featured WarGames matches at the event and the first time the brutal steel cage match was held outdoors.

  • Becky Lynch Rips AJ Lee’s WWE Return: ‘Nobody Wants Her Back’

Becky Lynch has fired back at AJ Lee ahead of their collision at Survivor Series: WarGames, dismissing any notion that fans are happy to see the former Divas Champion back in WWE.

Speaking with Michael Cole before tonight’s premium live event, Lynch made her feelings about Lee’s return crystal clear.

“Absolute joke. What is she doing back? Nobody wants her back. You hear the audience when she comes out. Everybody says ‘Boo, boo, boo, AJ,\’” Lynch claimed, despite evidence suggesting otherwise from WWE crowds.

    https://youtu.be/JXF0iG1P7XM?si=7q-QnMqs-09c8nke

The rivalry between Lynch and Lee has intensified since AJ’s surprise return on Raw, which directly led to Becky losing her Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Maxxine Dupri. Lynch has pointed to Lee’s interference as evidence of corruption, specifically targeting AJ’s lack of proper credentials.

“Pierce, obviously hitting the music, letting the LED board go out for AJ to come out. No manager’s license,” Lynch stated, alleging that Adam Pearce allowed Lee to appear at ringside without proper authorization.

The two women will be on opposite sides of the Women’s WarGames match tonight. Lee has aligned with Rhea Ripley’s team while Lynch has joined forces with their rivals.

When Cole challenged Lynch on her selective memory regarding past tactics, The Man had a telling response.

“We’ll let you rewrite history. That’s fine. That’s what I do,” she admitted, giving Cole a new nickname in the process: “Misleading Michael.”

Their mixed tag loss at Wrestlepalooza, where Lynch and Seth Rollins fell to AJ Lee and CM Punk, has only added fuel to this simmering rivalry heading into tonight’s WarGames showdown.

  • WWE Survivor Series WarGames Rules Explained

As WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 approaches, understanding the unique stipulations of the WarGames match is essential for fans preparing to watch one of the most brutal encounters in professional wrestling.

The WarGames concept revolves around two teams competing in a dual-ring setup surrounded by a steel cage. Unlike traditional cage matches, WarGames features a controlled entry system that creates strategic advantages throughout the bout.

The match begins with one member from each team starting inside the cage. After five minutes of action, a member from the team that won the advantage enters the match, creating a temporary two-on-one situation. From that point forward, competitors alternate entering the match every three minutes until all team members are inside the cage.

The staggered entry system means the team with the advantage maintains numerical superiority until the final competitor enters. Only once all participants have entered does WarGames officially begin, and the match can only be won by pinfall or submission.

This format creates a dynamic where teams must strategize about their entry order while enduring periods of disadvantage. The enclosed cage environment ensures no escape and no outside interference, making WarGames one of WWE\’s most intense and unpredictable match types.

  • WWE Trolls Livestreamer with Fake Return Teasers During Survivor Series Setup

WWE got creative after discovering fans were livestreaming the Survivor Series 2025 setup from a nearby San Diego apartment, deliberately playing entrance themes to spark false return speculation.

According to PWInsider, WWE staff intentionally played entrance music and titantrons for Edge, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Jinder Mahal during the pre-show setup at Petco Park—knowing someone was broadcasting the preparations online. The company wasn\’t teasing actual returns; the music was a calculated move to spread misinformation among fans watching the unauthorized stream.

    https://x.com/TitoSanTanaChez/status/1994245703804088806?s=20

The playful trolling highlights how closely WWE monitors fan engagement and online activity during major events. With speculation already swirling about potential surprise appearances at the November 29 pay-per-view, fans watching the setup stream proved easy targets for the audio misdirection.

Fans should disregard any return rumors that originated from the setup footage, as WWE has confirmed the music was purely a deliberate prank rather than a genuine tease.

  • Stephanie McMahon Remembers The \”Tuna Fish Freestyle\” That Launched John Cena’s Career

Stephanie McMahon has revealed the behind-the-scenes moment that launched John Cena’s iconic Doctor of Thuganomics persona.

In a candid interview with WWE before Survivor Series: WarGames, McMahon shared the famous tuna fish freestyle story that helped transform Cena from a struggling rookie into a cultural phenomenon.

McMahon recalled that early in Cena’s career, WWE knew he had potential but couldn’t quite identify what would connect him with audiences.

“I remember when he first started. And I remember always thinking he had something, you know? He always seemed to have something, but we couldn’t quite figure out what it was. It wasn’t registering yet with the audience.”

The turning point came during a European tour. McMahon was on a plane eating a packet of tuna fish when she decided to test something she had heard about the young wrestler.

“I was eating the bag of tuna fish. And he was walking by and I said, ‘John, I was told that you can rap.’ And he goes, ‘I can.’ And I said, ‘Well do it.’ And he goes, ‘What, right now?’ And I said, ‘Yes.’ And he started rapping about my tuna fish.”

    McMahon was immediately impressed.

“It was so good and clever and smart and like, had a good beat to it. I mean, it was so impressive. And I said, ‘John, have you ever thought about doing this on television?\’”

She was careful to credit Cena for developing the character that followed. “It wasn’t like, oh, I had this great idea and suddenly he was the Doctor of Thuganomics. That’s all him. But I was, I guess, the first person to support him actually doing that on television.”

Looking back on Cena’s rise, McMahon reflected on what it means to see talent connect with audiences.

“It’s just the best feeling in the world to watch our talent rise, you know? And nobody rose higher than John Cena.”

“I love Dominik Mysterio. I have loved him since I first met him when he was a little kid. And he was a little kid,” McMahon shared.

The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame inductee explained why she particularly appreciates Dirty Dom’s work. “I do love the heels, but especially because I can relate, like especially Dom’s rise. Being a child of the business and making such an impact as a heel that the audience is like, you can’t even hear yourself talk and you’re so bad, you’re just like, oh, it’s the best, I love it.”

McMahon also reflected on how Cena’s retirement tour has benefited everyone involved.

“This opportunity, this year-long retirement tour has been something so special, not only for John, but for our audience. And I think for every person who’s stepped in the ring with him.”

She offered her definitive take on how John Cena will be remembered.

“John will do what he has continued to do his entire career. And that’s bring everybody up with him. He has never put anybody down or kept anyone down. It’s always been about bringing people up. And that’s how I think everyone will remember John Cena.”

  • Stephanie McMahon Recalls Being \’Blown Away\’ By The Undertaker\’s Hall Of Fame Surprise

Stephanie McMahon has opened up about the emotional moment when The Undertaker surprised her with news of her WWE Hall of Fame induction for 2026.

In a sit-down interview with WWE before Survivor Series: WarGames, McMahon described how the elaborate surprise unfolded at Wrestlepalooza, WWE\’s first show on ESPN.

\”You don\’t ever feel worthy. I don\’t think of an accolade like that,\” McMahon admitted. She explained that Triple H had told her they would do an ID shot of her in the crowd, and a cameraman said they were shooting over her shoulder for Taker\’s entrance. Nothing seemed unusual.

\”Here comes Taker and he\’s revving his bike and he gives me the look ringside, which he normally does if I\’m sitting ringside. That wasn\’t unusual. And then the bike shuts off and I actually think he stalls it out. So I\’m like, about to start laughing, you know, like point at him.\”

McMahon revealed she was completely caught off guard when The Undertaker intentionally shut off his motorcycle, grabbed a microphone, and continued staring directly at her.

\”Then he said to be the first, when he used the word \’inducted,\’ that\’s when I realized, and you can see it in the video when you watch it back, like you could see it actually register across my face. And I was just blown away.\”

Even now, McMahon struggles to process the honor.

  • Chelsea Green Working With Creative To Elevate Women\’s US Title

Chelsea Green is working directly with WWE\’s creative team to elevate the Women\’s US Championship, rejecting the notion that it should be viewed as a midcard title.

The current champion revealed she\’s actively collaborating with creative to restore prestige to the title and ensure it\’s taken as seriously as the Women\’s World Championship.

\”This time around, I\’m trying to make it different while still making it equally entertaining,\” Green explained. \”I want to make sure that I elevate it. I\’ve already been talking to the creative team about how we can kind of do a little damage control on it and make sure that it means something. Let\’s put it on a pedestal, you know? Let\’s elevate it and make it mean something because at the end of the day, it doesn\’t need to be a midcard title. It\’s just a title.\”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSNzgoNWbQ4

    A Third \”Women\’s World Title\”

Green emphasized that fans should view the US Championship with the same importance as any other women\’s title in WWE.

\”You should equally fear me the way you fear Jade Cargill,\” she said. \”You should equally want my championship the same way that you want the women\’s world championship when you walk into that Royal Rumble.\”

The champion also discussed the difference between her first and second US title reigns, noting that her initial run was deeply emotional as she hoped to win the championship in front of friends and family at Survivor Series.

\”My heart and my soul went into that first title reign,\” Green reflected. \”There was so much that I put in that year before I was chosen to win this. So that obviously it\’s a memory that lives rent-free in my head and it will for the rest of my life.\”

For her current reign, Green\’s priority remains entertainment:

\”If you know me, you know that entertainment is where I thrive and so I\’m just going to make it as entertaining as I possibly can because that\’s the only thing I have control of.\”

Green regained the title from Giulia on the November 7 episode of SmackDown, becoming the first-ever two-time Women\’s US Champion. In the same interview, she discussed ending her underdog narrative and embracing her success.

  • Survivor Series Expected to Set Up WrestleMania 42 Main Event Picture

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames isn\’t just about settling scores inside the steel cage—it\’s about launching WrestleMania season.

Paul Heyman made that clear during his appearance on ESPN\’s First Take this week, openly positioning Saturday\’s premium live event as a preview of what\’s to come in Las Vegas next April.

\”This is really an infomercial for WrestleMania,\” Heyman said. \”Because, as you must know by now, there\’s such a huge publicity push out there that the individual tickets for WrestleMania Saturday and WrestleMania Sunday go on sale for Black Friday. So we are out there just showing the world, \’Hey, check out this spectacle. Check out what WWE is about.\’ This is our audition for the world to come to Vegas for WrestleMania.\”

Heyman hyped the Men\’s WarGames match as the \”greatest assembly of talent on either side,\” and the lineups support that claim. Reigns, Punk, and Rhodes will all compete on the same side, teaming with The Usos against Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul.

    WrestleMania 42 Main Event

The rare alignment of WWE\’s top three stars on the same team hasn\’t gone unnoticed. On Raw this week, Roman Reigns teased his intentions by stating he would go after either World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk or Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, though he did not specify which one he was targeting.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns vs. Seth Rollins was the planned main event for WrestleMania 42. However, Rollins\’ shoulder injury has forced WWE to pivot their plans, and the new direction points toward Reigns challenging the current champion—either Cody Rhodes or CM Punk—at the Las Vegas event in April 2026.

For Heyman, the pressure to deliver is paramount.

\”We have to deliver the greatest WarGames of all time, and we\’re very cognizant of that fact,\” he said. \”We have to top all the previous WarGames.\”

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames streams Saturday at 7 PM ET on the ESPN app in the United States and on Netflix internationally.

  • Kenny Omega\’s Diverticulitis Continues to Impact AEW Schedule

Kenny Omega\’s return to AEW competition comes with significant health considerations as the promotion navigates his ongoing battle with diverticulitis, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The former AEW World Champion\’s condition requires careful day-to-day management, with AEW limiting his in-ring workload and avoiding extended singles matches to accommodate the unpredictable nature of his health situation.

    The Road to Recovery

Omega\’s health struggles became public knowledge when he was hospitalized in December 2023 with diverticulitis, an inflammatory condition affecting the colon. The severity of his condition necessitated surgery in May 2024, during which doctors removed approximately 25 centimeters of his colon.

The recovery process kept Omega sidelined for months as he worked his way back to in-ring competition. His return came at AEW Full Gear on November 22, 2025, where he reunited with The Young Bucks, marking an emotional comeback for one of AEW\’s most popular stars.

    Managing an Unpredictable Condition

According to the Observer, Omega\’s condition fluctuates on a daily basis, creating unique challenges for AEW\’s booking team. The promotion has responded by strategically structuring his appearances to prevent potential complications while keeping him active on television.

The decision to book Omega primarily in tag team scenarios rather than lengthy singles matches appears to be a direct response to these health limitations. This approach allows AEW to feature one of its top stars while minimizing the physical demands that could aggravate his condition.

    What It Means for AEW

The situation requires AEW to maintain flexibility in their creative planning. Long-term storylines involving Omega must account for the possibility of setbacks, and the promotion needs contingency plans should his health require another extended absence.

For fans, this means Omega\’s appearances and matches will likely be more carefully curated than before his diagnosis. While his in-ring work remains at a high level, the frequency and duration of his matches will be guided by medical necessity rather than creative preference alone.

The silver lining is that AEW has found a sustainable way to keep Omega active and relevant while prioritizing his long-term health—a balance that benefits both the performer and the promotion.

  • Roman Reigns Admits Bringing Paul Heyman Into Bloodline Was His ‘Biggest Mistake’

Roman Reigns has made a rare admission about his career, calling the decision to bring Paul Heyman into The Bloodline his biggest mistake.

Speaking on WWE Countdown ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames, \”The Tribal Chief\” reflected on his turbulent relationship with his former \”Wise Man\” and delivered a surprisingly candid assessment of where things went wrong.

\”That\’s why for me, should have kept it simple. Should have kept it family only, bloodline only, people with the same blood coursing through the same veins. That was my biggest mistake. Bloodline only.\”

    https://youtu.be/mnUaiEU1ezM?si=vhu2J3DitrDcONmi

The comments come after Heyman\’s betrayal at WrestleMania 41, where he aligned with Seth Rollins and The Vision faction against Reigns. The two had been aligned for four years prior to the split.

    Paul Heyman\’s Super Power

Despite the acknowledgment of his error in judgment, Reigns offered a nuanced take on Heyman\’s motivations, suggesting his former advocate is simply doing what he\’s always done.

\”The old Wise Man, I think it\’s a beautiful mix of both. I think he\’s one of those guys where, yes, all his marbles are in one basket. So does he care about this industry? Of course.

This is where he\’s made his career, his life, his livelihood. His superpowers, he can identify who that future star could be. He\’s gonna ride him to the wheels fall off, and then find the next guy. So I think he\’s doing exactly what he\’s set out to do.\”

The unusually vulnerable moment from Reigns signals a shift in his character heading into the WarGames match, where he\’ll team with CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos against The Vision.

Roman Reigns has drawn parallels between his current position in WWE and where he was a decade ago, acknowledging that the new generation is coming for his spot just as he once came for Brock Lesnar\’s.

In an interview on WWE Countdown ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames, \”The Tribal Chief\” was asked about rising stars like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed challenging his position. Rather than dismissing them, Reigns offered a philosophical take on the situation.

\”I think it\’s just the circle of life in WWE. 10 years ago, I was the young guy. Brock Lesnar was the top of the mountain, and I was trying to knock him off that peg. Years later, it\’s happening to me.\”

Despite the acknowledgment, Reigns made clear he isn\’t ready to step aside. He described WWE as a competitive environment where everyone is gunning for the top position.

\”It\’s a shark tank. Everybody wants what you have. And I\’d say right now, whether I have a title or not, everybody wants what the Tribal Chief has.\”

The comments reflect Reigns\’ understanding of WWE\’s generational nature while maintaining his confidence as the company\’s top star. He faces Breakker and Reed tonight at Survivor Series: WarGames, where the new generation will attempt to prove they belong at the top of the mountain.

  • Ric Flair Clarifies Comments About Hulk Hogan Dying From Street Drugs

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has issued a new statement on his official Facebook page, addressing the controversy surrounding his recent comments surrounding the death of fellow icon Hulk Hogan. Flair recently claimed that Hogan had turned to “street drugs” after being cut off from prescribed pain medications, prompting backlash.

Flair’s comments initially surfaced during an appearance on Doubl3 Coverage, where he discussed Hogan’s long struggle with chronic pain following numerous surgeries. Flair said Hogan’s debilitating health led to an increased reliance on pain medication and eventual desperation when doctors could no longer prescribe stronger doses under medical guidelines.

Flair recalled his final conversation with Hogan and describing the pain he says the WWE icon was living with in his final days. Flair said, “I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs, when the doctor wouldn’t prescribe anymore. He was in so much pain. Then he had a neck surgery and it got infected, so back in the hospital. Imagine 10 back surgeries, two knees, two hips, all this. And then when the doctor would not prescribe any more pain medicine, they just couldn’t do it, all due to conscience, right? So they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, ‘You know what? Bingo, I can’t do it anymore.’”

  • Chelsea Green\’s Diva Renaissance: “Stop Putting People In Boxes”

Chelsea Green is leading a “Diva Renaissance” in WWE, proudly embracing the label that was once used to diminish women’s wrestling and proving femininity and athletic excellence aren’t mutually exclusive.

The Women’s US Champion discussed how she was initially criticized for wanting to be a diva when she entered the wrestling business, but has since fully embraced the identity.

“When I first started wrestling, I was kind of poo pooed for wanting to be a diva and I realized like, no, I’m going to embrace it,” Green explained. “I got into this because I loved Kelly Kelly, who I think is the ultimate diva. I think Nikki Bella is a perfect example of, you know, she was the ultimate diva and she also embraced being a WWE superstar, period.”

Green emphasized that modern female wrestlers can embody traditionally feminine qualities while still being elite in-ring performers.

“I love Tiffany for that. I think Tiffany is a perfect example. Maxine and I talk about this. You can wear pink. You can be sparkly. You can be girly. You can care about your nails and your lashes and your tan and your hair and you can still kick ass and be the best wrestler in the world,” she said. “So why are we putting people in boxes? Stop caring that I label myself a diva.”

The champion also revealed the immense responsibility she felt when trusted with Nikki Bella’s first singles match in seven years.

“Someone and I think Nikki trusted me with her first singles match back,” Green said. “She is the epitome of women’s wrestling. She is the tippy top. You don’t get any higher than Nikki Bella. I’m sorry. You just don’t. And so many eyes were on her. So many eyes wanted her to succeed. So many eyes wanted her to fail. And so I just wanted to do her justice and her legacy justice. I didn’t want her to come back and feel ashamed or embarrassed. I wanted her to feel empowered in that moment.”

Green named her “Diva Mount Rushmore” as herself, Natalya, Kelly Kelly, and Nikki Bella, cementing her place among the women she believes defined the era.

In the same interview, Green discussed working with creative to elevate her championship and the truth about WWE’s women’s locker room.
