  • CJ Perry Says Vince McMahon Used Her as ‘Puppet’ for Political Commentary, Wanted Putin at WWE Show

CJ Perry has revealed that Vince McMahon personally wrote every word of her promos during her decade-long run as Lana in WWE, using her character as a “puppet” for political commentary.

Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Perry pulled back the curtain on McMahon’s hands-on approach to her controversial Russian character.

“Vince did micromanage when I was there for that 10 years. Vince micromanaged all the promo. So, John Cena could change it. Bray Wyatt could do his own thing and he could approve. Paul Heyman, but no, Vince wrote my promos,” Perry revealed.

Perry explained that McMahon used her character to express his own political views during the Obama administration era.

“I think he was using me as his puppet to talk about America because once Trump became president, he sat me and Mero down. He’s like, ‘Okay, no more politics.’ He was like, ‘It’s too polarizing and controversial,\’” Perry said.

The former WWE star also disclosed McMahon’s ambitious plans for her character, including hopes of bringing Russian President Vladimir Putin to a WWE event.

“He wanted Vladimir Putin to come to a show. Like hey sky’s the limit you know. He’s like I hope he’s going to come to a show,” Perry shared.

Perry also recalled how TMZ breaking her engagement to Rusev led to immediate creative changes. McMahon pulled the plug on her storyline with Summer Rae and Dolph Ziggler after the news went public.

“TMZ broke that we were engaged, Vince said that TMZ is global CNN news. We’re going to have to cut the story line with you and Summer Rae and Dolph Ziggler and Lana,” Perry recounted.

Despite the intense creative control, Perry noted that Triple H’s current regime offers talent more creative freedom compared to McMahon’s era.

  • Randy Orton Endorses IShowSpeed for WWE Career After Training Session

YouTube sensation IShowSpeed has received a major endorsement from one of WWE’s all-time greats after completing an intensive training session at the WWE Performance Center.

The 20-year-old streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., competed in his first full WWE match as part of his YouTube series Speed Goes Pro. The fifth and final episode of the series, titled “SPEED GOES PRO, EPISODE 5: RANDY ORTON (WWE),” documents Speed’s two-day crash course in professional wrestling under the guidance of The Viper himself.

Speed trained alongside Performance Center coaches Fit Finlay and Matt Bloom, as well as Sheamus, learning fundamentals like running the ropes, hitting shoulder tackles, and selling moves. He even developed his own signature finisher—a moonsault he dubbed “The Speed Drop.”

Orton joined the training on day two to put Speed through his paces, including a brutal steel chair shot to the back that left the chair bent from the impact. Speed’s selling of the chair shot impressed Orton, proving he’d absorbed The Viper’s lessons on working a crowd.

The episode culminated with Speed facing NXT developmental talent Anthony Luke in front of a live audience at the Performance Center. Despite taking the loss, Speed’s performance left a strong impression on the 14-time World Champion.

“Speed, it takes a very long time to get good at your craft. You got a long way to go,” Orton said afterward. “But without a shadow of a doubt, I think you do have what it takes to be a WWE Superstar. He is ready. We’ve got something here. Mentally, he’s there. Physically, he’s got everything it takes. If he wants to stick with this journey, through hard work and dedication, he could one day be a full-time WWE Superstar if he wants it.”

From RKO Victim to Randy’s Approval

Speed’s WWE journey began at WrestleMania 40, where he appeared disguised as a Prime bottle during Logan Paul’s United States Championship match—only to receive an RKO from Orton through the announce table. The moment went viral, racking up over 100 million views across platforms.

His involvement escalated at Royal Rumble 2025, where Triple H gave him a spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble match as a last-minute replacement for Akira Tozawa. Speed managed to help Bron Breakker eliminate Otis before the Intercontinental Champion speared him and tossed him out of the ring—another clip that instantly went viral.

    Living the Dream

For Speed, the PC training represented something deeply personal. In the episode, he opened up to Sheamus about his lifelong connection to wrestling.

“I watched that my whole life. Since my childhood. I started watching that when I was 8 years old,” Speed said. “Me and my little brother used to watch 20-minute video highlights of Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, just high-flying from the top rope. I’m literally living the dream right now.”

The episode has already surpassed 1.5 million views since its release.

What’s Next for IShowSpeed in WWE?

Speed acknowledged he still has a long way to go, telling the camera: “I feel like everything y’all just seen was just a little step in the door. I need to have more knowledge. I need to learn more. I need to practice more and work for it.”

With Orton’s seal of approval and WWE reportedly interested in future collaborations following his Royal Rumble appearance, the door seems open for the 46-million-subscriber creator to eventually follow Logan Paul’s path from internet star to full-time sports entertainer.

The question is whether Speed is ready to commit to the grind.

  • CJ Perry Opens Up About Sobriety, Says Rusev Served Divorce Papers on Her Birthday

CJ Perry opened up about her sobriety journey and the painful moment when her then-husband Rusev served her divorce papers on her birthday.

In a candid interview on TMZ\’s Inside The Ring, Perry discussed the difficult period that led to major personal changes in her life.

When asked about being served divorce papers on her birthday, Perry is sticking to her story. \”Yeah, of course. Like, I literally have proof, but he still will be like.. I don\’t know,\” Perry revealed.

That low point became a catalyst for Perry to examine her own issues, including her relationship with alcohol.

\”I\’m in recovery and I\’m, you know, I had to quit drinking and change a lot of my own things in my own life and I just realized I was pointing at him about so many things, but really I just needed to work on myself,\” Perry admitted.

She also recognized patterns of codependency that contributed to their marital struggles.

\”I was very codependent to him and I think that was the codependency is what made it really hard for me. So when he would be gone at AEW, it\’s like no, I wanted us to be together all the time like how we were together all the time before and I wasn\’t willing to grow and evolve and give him space and kind of get a life for myself,\” Perry explained.

The personal work paid off, as Perry and Rusev have since reconciled and rebuilt their relationship.

\”We\’re best friends. We just went to Formula 1 this weekend,\” Perry said of their current status.

Perry received support from WWE during difficult times, including a personal call from Stephanie McMahon after the Mickey James incident in 2021.

\”I got a text from Stephanie McMahon. And she was like, \’Are you available to talk?\’ I was so nervous. And then she calls me and I literally wanted to cry. I love Stephanie McMahon so much. And she was just like, \’We\’re family. Like this was really inappropriate what was done and we just want to check in with you,\’\” Perry recalled.

Perry now hosts the Identity Crisis podcast, focusing on reinvention, mental health, and wellness.

  • Chelsea Green Reveals How Matt Cardona’s WWE Return Really Happened

Chelsea Green revealed the behind-the-scenes story of how her husband Matt Cardona secured his surprise WWE return to face John Cena, crediting a “perfect storm” of persistent pestering from multiple parties.

The Women’s US Champion explained that Cardona’s return wasn’t planned far in advance, fitting WWE’s typical last-minute decision-making culture.

“We didn’t really know what was happening until the very last moment,” Green said. “You know how WWE is. It can be in talks for months or it can be in talks for 24 hours. Either way, when they call you, you pick up the phone and then you get on a plane.”

Green revealed that multiple people lobbied WWE to make the match happen, taking advantage of Cardona’s personal friendship with Cena.

“It was a perfect storm because he does have a personal friendship and relationship with John Cena. So why wouldn’t he want to be John Cena’s final opponent?” she explained. “And so it worked perfectly between me pestering WWE, between John Cena pestering WWE and Matt pestering WWE. They caved and it worked.”

The champion also disclosed that Cardona has maintained constant communication with WWE throughout his five-year absence from the company.

“He’s been in contact with WWE constantly. The whole 5 years he’s been in contact with WWE,” Green revealed. “He’s always making sure that Triple H knows what he’s doing or that he’s available for a Rumble and things like that.”

Green described being emotionally overwhelmed when she saw Cardona backstage during the historic moment, noting she plans to be present for Cena’s final match as well.

The revelation provides insight into how WWE operates with talent and the importance of maintaining relationships even when working outside the company. Cardona faced LA Knight in the “Last Time Is Now” tournament on the November 14 episode of SmackDown.

Green also discussed her own championship mindset shift in the same interview.

  • Seth Rollins Reveals How He Changed Pro Wrestling\’s Athletic Standards

Seth Rollins credits himself as one of the architects behind modern WWE\’s shift toward athleticism and opportunities for smaller performers during his recent appearance on Bert Kreischer\’s cooking show.

The WWE Superstar discussed his arrival to WWE\’s developmental system in 2010, when he walked into the notorious FCW warehouse in Tampa as the former Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion.

\”I learned a lot there from a political standpoint. I learned how to have confidence in myself,\” Rollins explained. \”When I walked in, I thought I was walking into the big leagues. But what I realized when I got there was that I was already better than everybody in the room. And so, it allowed me to have the confidence to be like, \’Oh, I can now lead all of these people in the ring. I can take them and help elevate them because I know what I\’m doing.\’\”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_SUOxYR1Jg

Rollins described the brutal conditions of the FCW warehouse: \”It was a sweat box. There was no AC in the place. So you would just go in Tampa, Florida, like in the summertime indoor. It was excruciating.\”

How Seth Rollins Changed the Game

Reflecting on his impact on the industry, Rollins noted the dramatic transformation in WWE\’s approach to talent.

\”It\’s night and day compared to like the athleticism, the fact that smaller guys can get more opportunities and they\’re taken seriously as big stars in the business,\” he said. \”Even the big guys—they\’ve had to adapt their style to keep up with the small guys where it used to be the other way around. If you were anybody small under six foot that wasn\’t Rey Mysterio, you didn\’t stand a chance.\”

During the same interview, Rollins also opened up about finding the right life partner in Becky Lynch and his struggles with social media toxicity that nearly destroyed their relationship in 2019.

Rollins is currently recovering from an arm injury with an expected return around WrestleMania season.

  • CJ Perry Really Misses WWE, Compares Withdrawal to Being \”Like a Drug Addict\”

CJ Perry is teasing a potential WWE return, revealing that her Lana character is “watching from Siberia” as her ex-husband Rusev competes in John Cena’s 16-man tournament. Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Perry played coy about the possibility of Lana appearing alongside Rusev in WWE.

“Rusev is doing his thing but I will say that Lana is watching. From Siberia. Yeah. Lana’s currently watching,” Perry said with a knowing smile.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnwZKXrkc4E

Perry took particular offense to Dominik Mysterio’s recent victory over Rusev for an Intercontinental Championship opportunity, suggesting it wouldn’t have happened if Lana was present.

“Did you not see how Dom beat him in the Intercontinental Championship? Like, what was the balls? And I’m like, okay, that would have never happened,” Perry said.

She jokingly accused Mysterio of stealing her playbook for heel tactics.

“I think that he got a hold of my Lana journals and he studied Lana’s journals. You know, he’s young, so he studied Lana’s journals. And it’s very clear he’s very smart. Like, Dom was like, he’s so smart,” Perry explained.

When asked if she might appear at Survivor Series this weekend, Perry remained cryptic.

“I mean, you never know. That’s 5 days away. Things change very last minute,” she replied.

Perry clarified that despite previous comments about retirement, she’s far from done with wrestling.

“I think when I said I retired, I was being very sarcastic. I would love to wrestle again,” Perry stated.

She believes she could help elevate Rusev’s current position if given the opportunity.

“Lana knows she can help Rusev. He just needs to call his first ex-husband,” Perry said, referencing their on-screen marriage.

Perry admitted she misses the adrenaline of performing.

“Oh my god. Are you kidding me? I miss it so much. I feel like a drug addict a little bit, you know? There’s no high and no adrenaline rush like that in the world,” she said.

  • Paul Heyman on John Cena\’s Final Survivor Series: \’Going Out on Top the Same Way He Came In\’

Paul Heyman delivered high praise for John Cena during his appearance on ESPN\’s First Take, promising fans will witness an unforgettable performance at the 17-time world champion\’s final Survivor Series this Saturday.

When asked what to expect from Cena at the event, Heyman didn\’t hold back in his assessment.

\”The greatest John Cena Survivor Series performance you\’ve ever seen,\” Heyman predicted. \”John Cena is going out on top. John Cena is going out the same way John Cena came in. The hardest working man in the business and nothing but props for everything that John Cena brings to the table.\”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzaUgInxG-w

Cena will defend his newly won Intercontinental Championship against \”Dirty\” Dominik Mysterio at the event. Cena dethroned Mysterio on the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw but later agreed to put his title on the line in Mysterio\’s hometown of San Diego.

The mutual respect between Heyman and Cena carries significant weight given their bitter 20-year rivalry that has played out across WWE programming. Whether through Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, or The Big Show, Heyman has consistently been a thorn in Cena\’s side throughout his career.

Their adversarial relationship traces back to 2002, when Heyman\’s then-client Brock Lesnar brutally attacked Cena. One of their most memorable confrontations came in June 2006, when Heyman slid into the ring to count the pinfall as Rob Van Dam defeated Cena for the WWE Championship at ECW One Night Stand. Then at SummerSlam 2014, Lesnar demolished Cena in a one-sided beatdown to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Over two decades later, both men remain central figures at WWE\’s biggest events. While Cena defends the Intercontinental title, Heyman will lead his team of Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed into WarGames against Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and The Usos.

When asked about future stars, the 60-year-old WWE Hall of Famer turned the question into a testament to his own longevity.

\”I\’m just getting started. I\’m just figuring this stuff out,\” Heyman quipped. \”I got another 40 years ahead of me. Wait till you see what I do next.\”

WWE Survivor Series: War Games streams this Saturday on the ESPN streaming app.

  • Chelsea Green Reveals Truth About WWE Women’s Locker Room Hierarchy

Chelsea Green is pulling back the curtain on WWE’s women’s locker room, revealing that the perceived hierarchy among female superstars doesn’t actually exist behind the scenes. The Women’s US Champion shared insider information about how WWE’s female roster actually views each other, contrary to fan perceptions.

“Within the locker room, and this is a little bit of inside information, but within the locker room, we don’t put ourselves in the hierarchy that you guys do,” Green revealed. “We don’t have statuses. Just because Tiffany was the champion doesn’t mean she’s any more worthy of anything than me. We don’t see each other that way. We’re just a bunch of girls trying to elevate this division and this sport.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSNzgoNWbQ4

Green emphasized that the competitive rankings fans create don’t reflect the backstage reality.

“I don’t get in there and I’m like oh my god this is so cool. I’m with the top girls. Like I don’t think that way cuz at the end of the day like I’ve worked longer than some of them or they’ve you know done more than this person. That’s all fake. That part is fake,” she said.

The champion also discussed the unique mentorship style of John Cena, who she’s been working with during his farewell tour.

“One thing about John Cena is he doesn’t waste his breath on anyone,” Green explained. “So when he gives you advice, it’s thought out and it’s articulated in a way where he is not wasting his time or your time. And that’s really unique in wrestling cuz people love the sound of their own voice in this business. And so, for him to just like take that moment to tell me how he feels, it’s gamechanging.”

Green also revealed her personal “Diva Mount Rushmore,” naming herself alongside Natalya, Kelly Kelly, and Nikki Bella as the four most important divas in WWE history.

In the same interview, Green discussed leading a “Diva Renaissance” and how her husband Matt Cardona secured his WWE return.

  • Seth Rollins on Becky Lynch’s Daughter Asking “Why Were They Saying Mama Sucks?”

Becky Lynch shared a heartbreaking moment when her young daughter struggled to understand the negative reactions during wrestling storylines, highlighting the unique challenges WWE parents face.

“Every now and again she’ll ask, ‘Why were they saying mama sucks?\’” Lynch revealed during the interview, describing how their daughter processes seeing her mother portrayed as a villain on television.

The conversation touched on the broader challenges of raising children in the public eye while maintaining demanding performance schedules. Both Rollins and host Bert Kreischer discussed the sacrifices required in high-pressure entertainment careers.

“Yeah, I’m going to miss softball games. And I’m going to miss softball practice. And I probably may never be at a softball practice,” Kreischer said. “I’m going to miss all this [stuff] but I’m not doing it just for me. I’m doing it for the greater good of what we’re doing.”

    https://youtu.be/2_SUOxYR1Jg?si=39Hyt1kn7qjc8oBY

Rollins echoed this sentiment, explaining his own evolution as a parent and performer.

“For the first time in my life, I realized that there was actually something that was more important than what the [heck] I needed,” he said. “There was actually something more important than just me achieving some dream.”

The WWE couple has managed to maintain their family life while both remain top stars, though Rollins acknowledged the toll of constant criticism. Lynch discussed how audiences can sense authenticity in wrestling performances.

“They just sense that reality and they appreciate that part of it,” Lynch said about fans recognizing genuine emotion. “It doesn’t matter how good of an actor or actress you are in our business. They just sense that and that attachment to it.”

During the same interview, Rollins opened up about Lynch being “the right partner” and how social media toxicity affected their relationship in their early days together.

Rollins is currently recovering from an arm injury with an expected return around WrestleMania season, giving him additional time at home with his family.

  • Seth Rollins Reveals Social Media Crisis That Nearly Destroyed His Relationship With Becky Lynch

Seth Rollins opened up about hitting rock bottom in 2019 when social media toxicity threatened his new relationship with Becky Lynch, revealing he eventually quit Twitter entirely to protect his mental health.

\”Social media was affecting my personal life. It was affecting my relationship,\” Rollins admitted during the interview. \”There\’s the hot takes and then the algorithm—whatever gets traction is going to be usually negative or a hot take and that gets amplified and you see that and you start to trick yourself into thinking that\’s the reality that I live in.\”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_SUOxYR1Jg

The WWE star explained how the constant negativity compounded existing creative doubts: \”When you\’re already feeling bad about yourself or bad about what you\’re doing from a creative standpoint and then you have that on top, it just starts to pile on and you start to really feel a certain way about what you\’re doing.\”

Lynch echoed these concerns from a creative standpoint, questioning how performers can remain authentic under constant scrutiny.

\”You\’re listening to opinions about what you do 24/7. And I just feel like that we\’re not designed to do that,\” Lynch said. \”And also then how free can you be as somebody who\’s creating some sort of art?\”

Rollins revealed his solution: \”I still have [Instagram] but I did get rid of the cesspool that is Twitter. I don\’t really read comments on Instagram ever. Like I don\’t really get into the weeds on that.\”

The couple\’s struggles were intensified when WWE immediately put their real-life relationship on television in early 2019, forcing them to navigate both a new romance and public storylines simultaneously. As Rollins explained in the interview, Lynch made the first move at Royal Rumble weekend to finally start their relationship.

\”It took some full collapse to come back,\” Rollins said of his 2019 mental health crisis, which ultimately led to his social media reset and healthier boundaries.

The interview also covered how their daughter has struggled to understand wrestling storylines, highlighting additional challenges of raising children in the public eye.

  • Becky Lynch Recalls Making The First Move on Seth Rollins at 2019 Royal Rumble

Becky Lynch revealed she was the one who finally pushed Seth Rollins to start their relationship during Royal Rumble weekend 2019 in Phoenix, ending years of mutual attraction and friendship.

    Something\’s Burning (Season 6, Episode 15)
Host: Bert Kreischer | Guests: Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_SUOxYR1Jg

The couple first met in 2014 at an NXT show, with Rollins recalling an unexpectedly deep first conversation.

\”I go, \’Hey, what\’s your story?\’ \’What\’s your story, kid?\’ And then she just went off for like 45 minutes,\” Rollins said. \”I expected like a short interaction, a quick flirt, and then we\’d be gone. That\’d be the end of it. But she went off.\”

Both were in other relationships at the time, leading to five years of maintained boundaries and friendship. Lynch explained her protective approach during that period, particularly as Rollins went through a difficult phase questioning his relationship patterns.

\”I just wanted to be friends with him because I didn\’t want to lose him in that capacity,\” Lynch said. \”I\’d rather have taken him as a friend than like start to think bad things about him and then hate him. Like, that would have been the worst.\”

But in Phoenix, Lynch decided the time was right.

\”It all came to a head in Phoenix—Royal Rumble weekend. One thing led to another,\” Rollins explained. \”Essentially, she came up to me and she was like, \’You\’ve been all talk. Let\’s go.\’\”

The timing proved challenging as WWE immediately incorporated their real relationship into television storylines, creating awkward creative moments when Lynch was at the height of her \”The Man\” persona.

\”They put us together and then we didn\’t know our own dynamic as a couple and now we\’re on TV,\” Lynch reflected. \”My wrestling character is so different to how I am in real life and especially as a girlfriend.\”

Despite the rocky public start, the couple married in 2021 and have one daughter together. In the same interview, Rollins discussed how Lynch became \”the thing that makes life okay\” and revealed how social media toxicity nearly destroyed their relationship shortly after they got together.

The couple recently reunited on-screen for the first time since 2019.

During the 101-minute conversation, Rollins reflected on the moment he realized Lynch was different from anyone he\’d been with before.

\”I need you now. You\’re the thing that makes life okay. You\’re the thing that makes it right,\” Rollins explained to Kreischer. \”It wasn\’t just me. I was an [idiot]. But it\’s also that I just hadn\’t found the [right] partner. I hadn\’t found the thing that—the buddy, the [right] best friend, the whole thing that took care of all the [stuff] that I needed. It\’s not about tits and ass and [pretty] smile and all that [stuff]. That\’s all great. What it\’s about is completing the thing in here and you find that thing that just makes you feel like you\’re on the right team.\”

Kreischer, married for 21 years, shared his own wisdom about choosing the right life partner, painting a vivid picture of what matters in the long run.

\”I say to her constantly, I\’m so glad I picked you because when Ro grows up and she leaves the house and it\’s just you two and all the glitter and glam of professional wrestling\’s kind of lightened a little bit,\” Kreischer said. \”You\’ll realize I just spent [72] hours with this one human being. I\’m so glad I picked the right person.\”

The WWE Superstar also discussed his personal evolution, particularly becoming a father and how it shifted his priorities.

\”For the first time in my life, I realized that there was actually something that was more important than what the [heck] I needed,\” Rollins revealed. \”There was actually something more important than just me achieving some dream or like getting creatures.\”

Rollins and Lynch, who married in 2021, have one daughter together and continue balancing their high-profile WWE careers with family life. The couple recently worked together on-screen for the first time since 2019.

Rollins is currently recovering from a shoulder injury that will keep him out of action for approximately six months.

\”Always great having you back, @JohnCena,\” Dr. Anderson replied. \”Your dedication to maintaining your result is exactly why you look the way you do. Proud of the work we did together and proud of how you take care of it.\”

Cena first publicly discussed his hair transplant in an August 2025 interview with People Magazine, revealing that WWE fans holding \”The Bald John Cena\” signs pushed him to explore his options. • Lei Ying Lee Captures TNA Knockouts World Championship at NXT Gold Rush

Lei Ying Lee has won the TNA Knockouts World Championship, defeating Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace in a triple threat match at NXT Gold Rush Week 2.

The match, taped in New York and airing November 25, saw Lee capitalize on a crucial moment to claim her first TNA championship. As Grace prepared to execute a major move on defending champion Jordan, Lee struck from behind to break up the sequence. She then pinned Jordan to secure the victory and the title.

This marks Lei Ying Lee’s first championship reign in TNA following her transition from WWE, where she competed as Xia Li. The title change represents a significant milestone in her career outside the WWE system.

The championship switch also completes the return of both TNA world titles to TNA-contracted talent. Following the ongoing WWE-TNA crossover partnership, both the TNA World Championship and Knockouts World Championship had appeared on NXT programming, but are now held by wrestlers signed to TNA.

The continued collaboration between WWE and TNA has produced several notable moments, with championship matches and title defenses taking place across both promotions’ programming. Lee’s victory continues this trend while bringing the Knockouts Championship back under TNA control.

  • Brock Lesnar Falls During Raw Entrance in Rare On-Air Botch

Brock Lesnar suffered an embarrassing slip during his entrance on the November 24 episode of WWE Raw from Oklahoma City, providing one of the more memorable unscripted moments in recent memory.

Lesnar, accompanied by Paul Heyman, fell backward during his signature entrance stomp that typically coincides with his pyrotechnics.

    https://x.com/TribalMegastar/status/1993159937552531572?s=20

The incident occurred during the closing segment of Raw\’s Survivor Series go-home show. Lesnar was making his entrance to lead Team Vision (Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul) in a confrontation with the babyface WarGames team of Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos.

The usually stoic Lesnar immediately broke character after the fall, showing visible embarrassment before quickly recovering. He proceeded down the ramp to lead his team into the closing brawl with Reigns and company.

Both teams will collide in the men\’s WarGames match at Survivor Series on Saturday, with Team Vision holding the advantage after Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre defeated The Usos earlier in the show. The event continues the long tradition of Survivor Series as one of WWE\’s most important annual events.

    https://x.com/AEW/status/1993166820451192834

    Tournament Format and Rules

The Continental Classic features a round-robin format where each competitor faces everyone else in their league. Matches are contested under Continental Rules: a 20-minute time limit, no one allowed at ringside, and strict prohibition against outside interference under threat of being banned from AEW.

The points system awards three points for a victory and one point for a draw. The top two wrestlers from each league will advance to the semifinals at AEW Worlds End in Chicago on December 27, where league winners will face the opposing league\’s runner-up. Both semifinal matches and the tournament final will take place at Worlds End.

    Notable Storylines

    Seven Continental Classic Debuts

This year\’s field features seven first-time participants: Speedball Mike Bailey, Orange Cassidy, Máscara Dorada, Kevin Knight, PAC, Roderick Strong, and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita. Claudio Castagnoli becomes the only wrestler to compete in all three Continental Classic tournaments.

    Takeshita Enters as Double Champion

Konosuke Takeshita enters the tournament riding an incredible 2025. \”The Alpha\” won the G1 Climax 35 tournament and cashed in his title shot at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling in October, defeating Zack Sabre Jr. to capture the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship for the first time. Combined with ongoing tension with Don Callis Family stablemate Okada, the Blue League promises fireworks.

    Don Callis Family Internal Strife

The tournament places three members of The Don Callis Family in competition: Okada and Kyle Fletcher in the Gold League, with Takeshita in the Blue League. At Full Gear, tension between Okada and Takeshita cost them the CMLL World Trios Championship, and the Continental Classic could further fracture the faction.

    Death Riders Representation

The Death Riders have representatives in both leagues: PAC in the Gold League and both Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli in the Blue League. Moxley, the runner-up in the inaugural 2023 tournament, looks to regain momentum after recent setbacks, including a submission loss to Kyle O\’Reilly at Full Gear.

    Full Gear Fallout

PAC enters the tournament with momentum after defeating Darby Allin at Full Gear, setting up a potential grudge match when the two meet in Gold League action. Kyle Fletcher, meanwhile, lost the TNT Championship to Mark Briscoe in a No DQ match at Full Gear, adding urgency to his tournament campaign.

    What\’s at Stake

The winner of the 2025 Continental Classic will be crowned AEW Continental Champion at Worlds End. With Okada\’s Unified Championship on the line, this year\’s tournament carries unprecedented stakes. If Okada fails to win, the Continental Championship changes hands to whichever competitor emerges victorious from the December 27 final.

The Continental Classic begins Wednesday, November 26 on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite, airing at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max.

  • Penta Suffers Injury on WWE Raw, Forced to Forfeit John Cena Tournament Match

Penta\’s run in the John Cena \”Last Time Is Now\” tournament came to an abrupt end on WWE Raw after suffering a significant shoulder injury during his quarterfinal match against Solo Sikoa. The injury forced officials to stop the match, awarding Sikoa a victory by forfeit and advancing him to the semifinals.

    https://x.com/WWE/status/1993152325863850493?s=20

    Injury Occurs During High-Risk Spot

The injury occurred when Penta executed a head scissors takedown off the ringside barrier onto Sikoa. Immediately after the move, it was apparent something was wrong as Penta remained down on the outside. Medical staff quickly attended to him at ringside while officials assessed the situation.

After evaluation, the decision was made that Penta could not continue. The match was called off, with the referee confirming that Sikoa would advance to the next round due to Penta\’s inability to compete.

    Tournament Moves Forward Without Penta

Solo Sikoa now moves on to the semifinals of the tournament, which will ultimately determine John Cena\’s final opponent during his farewell run. The tournament continues without one of its most dynamic competitors, as Penta\’s WWE future remains uncertain pending further medical evaluation.

WWE has not yet released an official update on Penta\’s condition or a timeline for his return. The incident has generated significant concern among fans and fellow wrestlers, with video of the injury circulating widely across social media platforms. Penta had previously expressed confidence that a Lucha Bros reunion with his brother Rey Fenix would eventually happen in WWE.
