  • James Storm Reveals Which Recent Wrestling Moment Made Him Emotional

James Storm got emotional over a wrestling moment recently.

The TNA original recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as making a career in acting, how he was put together with Bobby Roode in the Beer Money tag team and more.

The Cowboy, who is a former TNA World Champion himself, was also asked about the company\’s partnership with WWE. Specifically, James Storm was asked about the then-TNA Champion Joe Hendry appearing at the 2025 Royal Rumble PPV.

The wrestling veteran revealed that he felt so happy for the company that he almost shed a tear over it. The Beer Money star also dismissed any criticism of the spot:

“I actually almost shed a tear. Because I was happy for Joe, but I was really happy for TNA. People can say whatever they want to say about oh, this was not a good look.

No, it was a good look. It’s the biggest show of the year, and they have another company’s belt in shot.”

Joe Hendry would later also appear at WrestleMania 41, being revealed as Randy Orton\’s surprise opponent. The viral star would go on to lose the short match, but he insists that his loss did not undermine the TNA title.

Apart from this, James Storm also discussed never signing with WWE himself. He revealed that Triple H had offered him an NXT deal, which he had agreed on. The officials however, later added 25 more dates to the contract without more money, and the deal fell through.

  • James Storm Reveals Origin of Beer Money Tag Team

The duo of James Storm and Bobby Roode, collectively known as Beer Money, is one of the most iconic tag teams in modern wrestling history, and there is a crazy story behind the two TNA originals becoming partners.

The Cowboy recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet where he talked about things such as his start in wrestling, never signing with WWE in his career, his TNA World title run, and more.

During the interview, the former TNA star also talked about the origin of the Beer Money tag team. He revealed that Dutch Mantel put them together because their contract was coming up. According to the former champion, the company actually intended to let both of them go if the pairing did not work:

“We were coming to the end of our contracts, and I don’t think they really knew what to do with us. So Dutch, he was just like, ‘Just put them together. If anything, we fire them together.’ That’s how I got the Dutch was looking at it.\”

    Just Act Fools: James Storm

James Storm and Bobby Roode were both TNA originals, and they had worked with each other on occasion before. Though they really became a proper tag team and got their name in 2008. Together, they would go on to win the TNA tag titles a record five times. Beer Money also holds the record for both the longest single and combined title reigns as tag champions in TNA history.

In his early run with the company, Storm was part of another tag team dubbed America\’s Most Wanted with Chris Harris. He explained that Beer Money was different because both the stars had been established by that point, and they could just go out there to have fun:

\”So they put us together, and me and Bob was like, You know what? We’re gonna make the best of this. We’re gonna do what we can to it. The thing with Bobby is, whereas me and Chris had to rely on each other, me and Bobby was already kind of established, so we can just go out there and have fun and just act fools. So they had us as heels, and I made up some dumb merchandise that said Beer Money on it.\”

Apart from this, James Storm also revealed that they came up with the team name during a casual conversation with Eric Young. They originally intended to annoy the audience with it but it soon caught on and became a popular phrase.

  • Mariah May Confirms Inspiration Behind New WWE Name

Mariah May has seemingly confirmed the inspiration behind her new name.

A name change was expected for the former AEW star when she made her NXT debut a couple weeks ago. The same was confirmed with a video package on this week\’s episode of the development brand, with Blake Monroe being revealed as the new name for the female star.

The second part of her new name was obviously inspired by Iconic actress Marilyn Monroe. The fans, however, were not sure about the first name, with many believing that she should have kept the AEW name for better recognition.

The 26-year-old then posted a photo with her niece on Wednesday with the caption \’B,\’ seemingly confirming that the first part of her name is inspired by the little one:

Blake Monroe confronted the current NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne upon her NXT debut during the June 3 episode, clearly indicating that winning the title was her goal in the Black & Silver brand.

The company, however, did not include her in the mini tournament they have announced to determine Jayne\’s opponent for the upcoming Evolution 2 PPV

So it appears that the former AEW Women\’s Champion will have to wait some time to get her first title shot in WWE. It\’d be interesting to see who she feuds with in the meantime.

  • Mr. Iguana Reveals What He\’s Been Told About His WWE Future

Mr. Iguana made an appearance at this week\’s episode of NXT after becoming an internet sensation but according to the high-flying star himself, the developmental brand will not be his new home.

The Mexican pro wrestler recently spoke to Línea Directa TV, where he confirmed what\’s next for him. The AAA star discussed his visit to the WWE Performance center and revealed that the company is planning for him to join the main roster soon:

\”I’m there effectively. Like literally, I was in the Performance Center yesterday and they told me, you’re not going through NXT — you’re heading straight to the main roster.\”

All this comes out of Mr. Iguana\’s appearance at the Worlds Collide event, which went viral. The officials were quick to capitalize on his popularity, bringing him in for an appearance at the Money In The Bank PPV.

During the talk, Mr. Iguana confirmed previous reports that his merchandise was among the bestselling merch over the PPV weekend and the company is now looking into ways to capitalize on his popularity:

\”I was literally taking pictures with Shawn Michaels and they told me they need you here because your shirt is the top seller in WWE, and you’re also the fastest-rising star when it comes to action figures and trading cards.\”

It\’s unknown what the company\’s plans are for Mr. Iguana on the main roster, but it seems likely that he\’ll be working with top WWE stars very soon.

  • Watch: What Happened With Tony Khan After AEW Summer Blockbuster Went Off Air

Tony Khan addressed the crowd after two back-to-back successful shows.

AEW presented the 4-hour-long Fyter Fest special on TBS last week. They followed it up with the Summer Blockbuster this week, making history in terms of broadcast length for a wrestling TV show.

After the end of the second show, the company president came out to address the crowd. He told fans at the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon that they\’ve all become part of history by attending the show.

After praising the performers who were part of the broadcast, Tony Khan talked about the tradition of pro wrestling in Portland. He mentioned how the city has been the home to some iconic talents, including names such as Playboy Buddy Rose and \’Rowdy\’ Roddy Piper:

    — BODYSLAM.NET | WWE & AEW Wrestling News (@BodyslamNet) June 12, 2025

The two shows featured many notable moments and announcements, though the biggest one of them all was probably the announcement of a rematch between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada.

The two stars who hold the International Title and the Continental title, respectively, were announced for a winner-takes-all match at the upcoming All In Texas PPV.

They took part in a contract signing segment this week where the company confirmed that both the championships will be unified at the upcoming event. Though the segment ended on an unexpected note after one of the competitors joined a faction. You can check out more about it here.

  • Legitimate Injury Behind AEW Summer Blockbuster Angle

A legitimate injury was the reason behind tonight\’s segment at AEW Summer Blockbuster.

The Hurt Syndicate were part of tonight\’s show, competing in a six-man tag team match against Kevin Knight, “Speedball” Mike Bailey & Mascara Dorada.

Before this match however, the group was featured in a backstage segment. The segment featured MVP in a hallway who proceeded to open a door. Behind the door were the rest of the Hurt Syndicate members, beating down Komander.

MJF had the high-flying star\’s mask in his hand as Lashley and Benjamin were hunched over him. As the trio left, the commentary explained that the footage was from earlier in the night.

    Komander Injured

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has revealed that Komander is dealing with a real-life injury, and the segment was a way to write him off TV.

The masked star\’s last TV match came during the June 4 episode of Dynamite, where he teamed with Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey to defeat the La Faccion Ingobernable faction.

According to an unconfirmed story, he suffered the injury while competing in a match over the weekend in Oaxaca, Mexico. Komander apparently slipped while attempting a rope walk dive and wasn\’t able to finish the bout.

SEScoops wishes a speedy recovery to the AEW star.

  • Watch: Mercedes Mone Shares Sensual Moment With Toni Storm At Summer Blockbuster

Mercedes Mone has some mind games of her own.

The reigning Women\’s World Champion Toni Storm competed at tonight\’s Summer Blockbuster event, squaring off against Julia Hart in a singles bout.

Mercedes Mone, who will be challenging Storm for the Women\’s title at All In, was in commentary for this bout. Mone joined Storm in the ring after she pinned Hart with a small package.

The Timeless One is known to get intimate with her opponents but this time it was Mone who initiated the sensualities. The TBS champion whispered something in Toni\’s ear before dropping her opponent and beating her down.

MERCEDES OH MY GOD ????? pic.twitter.com/1OA7q82UuX

    — bén (@MONE_MAKERS) June 12, 2025

Mina Shirakawa came out to make the save, and Mercedes seemed to retreat as the Japanese star entered the ring. As Shirakawa was looking after Storm however, Mone entered the ring again and took Mina out as well. She then picked up the AEW Women\’s title and made Toni kiss goodbye to it to end the segment.

Though this wasn\’t the last of the former Sasha Banks we saw during the show. She appeared in a backstage segment later on, challenging CMLL Women’s World Champion Zeuxis to a title match.

Zeuxis came out to accept the challenge and this time, it was the CMLL star who laid out Mone to end the segment. Tony Khan has since confirmed that the title match will be taking place at next week\’s Dynamite.

  • AEW Introduces New Title Belt Ahead of Big All In Match

AEW has unveiled a new championship belt.

The company announced last week that the current International Champion Kenny Omega, will be facing the Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada at the upcoming All In PPV in a Winner Takes All match.

Tonight\’s Summer Blockbuster special of Dynamite then featured a contract signing between the two NJPW veterans. The promotion also confirmed that the upcoming match will be a title unification bout by introducing the new unified belt for the winner during the show:

HOLY SHIT THE WINNER OF KENNY OMEGA VS KAZUCHIKA OKADA WILL BECOME THE AEW UNIFIED CHAMPION THIS BELT IS FUCKING GORGEOUS #AEW #AEWDynamite

    pic.twitter.com/cCcNyPg5PC

    — ???? (@KXNGAO) June 12, 2025

Prior to this segment, Okada was seen arguing with the Don Callis Family backstage which ended with the former IWGP World Champion calling the group \’bitches.\’ So it wasn\’t a surprise when Callis showed up during the contract signing segment and engaged in a promo battle with Omega.

Just as it looked like Kenny was done with his former associate, however, Okada surprised his arch rival by attacking him from behind. Callis then provided the Japanese star with a retractable police baton to confirm their new alliance.

OH MY FUCKING GOD OKADA HAS MURDERED KENNY OMEGA WHAT THE FUCKKKK #AEW #AEWDynamite

    pic.twitter.com/WOrlvpV0PE

    — ???? (@KXNGAO) June 12, 2025

Okada went on to unleash a brutal attack on his All In opponent, hitting Kenny multiple times with the baton. He followed up with multiple diving elbows.

As the medics looked to take Kenny out on a stretcher, Okada delivered one final diving elbow. This led to the former AEW champion coughing blood as the commentators reminded everyone of his recent battle with diverticulitis.

  • Matt Riddle Believes In Rumors of Power Struggle Within WWE

Matt Riddle believes in the stories of a WWE power struggle.

Former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman was the first to suggest that a power struggle is brewing within the company during an appearance on Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast. He even went as far as to suggest that the current Chief Content Officer Triple H would be ousted from his role within the next 18 months.

The Superking of Bros was asked for his opinion on the matter during his interview with Going Ringside. Matt Riddle said that he believes in the stories. He mentioned how a number of executives have sold their TKO shares in large quantities recently and claimed that it\’s a sign of something happening behind-the-scenes:

\”Yeah, I believe all of it. I really do. I think with the stocks being up for grabs, people selling, because I know Vince has sold, Steph has sold, Nick Khan has sold.

A lot of people are selling their stock, and usually you don’t do that unless something’s going on behind closed doors. And honestly think there’s already a power struggle when I was there.\”

Nature of The Beast: Matt Riddle

From Vince McMahon\’s original \’retirement\’ to Endeavor acquiring the company, and McMahon then being forced out of TKO, the company has seen multiple management changes in the last few years. With The Rock becoming a board member and bringing his own vision to the promotion, the talks of another potential change is not surprising for a lot of people.

Matt Riddle mentioned all these events to support his theory. Though the former US Champion claimed that it\’s all just the nature of the beast:

“They keep trying to get Vince out, and trying for Steph and Triple H to get in that position. And now that they got him out, now it’s Endeavor trying to get them out, or Rock, or whoever it is. So I think that’s just the nature of the beast.”

Apart from this, the now former WWE star also made some bold claims about CM Punk\’s backstage behaviour in the company. You can check out more about it here.

  • Hall of Famer Believes R-Truth Could Become World Champion In WWE With Ron Killings Persona

Could Ron Killings be WWE\’s next world champion?

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind for R-Truth. From announcing his release, to getting his name chanted at every show, and finally being rehired and making his big return to end a prominent PPV in Money in The Bank, a lot has happened for the wrestling veteran.

WWE Hall of Famer Book T talked about these turn of events on the latest episode of his podcast. He discussed R-Truth\’s Raw promo post-Money In The Bank. T compared it to the different characters of Mick Foley and said that it might lead to him becoming a world champion in WWE:

“He’s not R-Truth anymore. I like that too. We might see a totally different guy perhaps, almost like Mick Foley and Mankind and Dude Love. Let’s see what Ron Killings brings to the table.

I see Ron Killings winning the World Heavyweight Championship. That’s what I see. Put the title on him. How crazy would that be? It would the biggest thing since, perhaps, putting the title on Mick Foley.”

R-Truth cost John Cena the tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at the Money In The Bank PPV. He then appeared on Raw two days later to cut a promo, telling fans that their voice matters.

The beloved WWE star then shocked everyone by cutting his own hair. He teased a more serious side of him in coming times, saying that it was Ron Killings who was in control now, not Truth.

  • No One Told Me: Logan Paul Says He Was Unaware of R-Truth\’s MITB Return

Logan Paul apparently got the Tom Holland treatment from WWE.

The Spider-Man star is known for not being able to contain himself, and there have been many instances of him leaking critical info about upcoming movies. It has happened so many times that Marvel Studio executives have resorted to hiding info about his own movies from him, per Holland himself.

The YouTube star seemingly got a similar treatment for his Money In The Bank match from WWE officials, where he teamed up with John Cena to face the duo of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. The ending of the bout saw a returning R-Truth attacking Cena, costing him the match.

Speaking about the PPV on his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul claimed that he was actually told nothing about the return and he only found out during the match:

\”I’m sitting there like basically knocked out, and Cody (Rhodes) and John (Cena) are in the ring, I’m rooting for my guy John, ‘Get us that win John!’ And dude, out of nowhere comes f*cking R-Truth who I thought was fired. I thought the WWE let him go.

Also, here’s the thing, no one told me R-Truth was coming. I didn’t even know. I didn’t even know. So bro, I’m sitting there and he comes back, I’m like, ‘What the f*ck is he doing here!?’ Yes, in the moment (I became a fan) and dude, I’m selling, I’m like, hey, then he hit John and we lost the f*cking match!\”

Logan Paul effectively took himself out of the tag match towards the ending of the bout with a massive moonsault on Uso outside the ring. With the social media celebrity not being factored into the finish of the bout, it\’s very much possible that he was kept in the dark to protect the surprise.

The spot saw both Paul and Uso going through the announce desk. During the podcast, Logan revealed that John Cena was actually doubtful about him being able to pull off the Moonsault but he convinced the Cenation Leader.

  • Mini Tournament Announced For NXT Title Shot At Evolution 2

A new NXT tournament has been announced.

WWE recently confirmed the return of the all-women PPV Evolution. The event was announced for July 13, 2025, and since then, fans have been wondering what the card for the show will look like.

During the latest episode of the Black & Silver show, General Manager Ava confirmed at least one of the bouts for the upcoming PPV. She announced that the NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne will be defending her title at the event.

To determine her opponent, Ava announced sort of a mini-tournament with two rounds. The first-round features four singles matches with the respective winners earning a spot in a #1 contenders fatal four-way match.

NXT Tournament for Women\’s Title Shot

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/06/\"https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/06/\"

The four qualifying matches that are set to take place at next week\’s episode of the development show include names such as Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker. The full lineup is as follows:

    • Lash Legend vs. Kelani Jordan
    • Zaria vs. Izzi Dame
    • Thea Hail vs. Jaida Parker
    • Lola Vice vs. Jordynne Grace

The NXT title match isn\’t the only bout that the company is building towards for the upcoming PPV. This week\’s episode of Raw featured the WWE return of Nikki Bella. The Hall of Famer cut a promo praising some members of the current roster. Liv Morgan was not happy with being excluded from this list.

She came out to confront the WWE veteran and the whole thing soon turned physical. With Morgan along with her partner Raquel Rodriguez being the reigning Women\’s tag team champions, it seems logical that this segment is building towards a tag title match for Evolution against The Bella Twins.

  • Former WWF Star Reveals Hulk Hogan Incident That Made Him Lose All Respect For The Hall of Famer

A former WWE star would love to slap Hulk Hogan.

The Hulkster is not the most popular figure in the wrestling circle nowadays. Since the controversy over racial remarks back in 2012, many stars have spoken against the WWE Hall of Famer.

Paul Roma joined this list after calling out the former face of WWE on the latest episode of his Power & Glory podcast. While discussing who he\’d like to face in a real-life fight, the former WWE star did not hesitate to name Hogan:

“I’m going to slap the taste out of his mouth, every other word that comes out of his mouth is ‘brother.’ So you know what? When I slap the taste out, I’m going to say to him, ‘How’s that feel, brother?’”

Hulk Hogan\’s Meet & Greet Incident

Later in the episode, Roma who shared the locker room with Hulk both in WWF and WCW, went into details of the reason behind his feelings. He recalled an incident involving a disabled child during a meet & greet event.

Per Paul, the child who was wheeled in on a bed arrived late to the event, and when asked to meet him after other children, Hulk Hogan did not hide his contempt “He threw his hands up and got a little pissy about it and said, ‘You know, I’m not getting paid for this.’”

Paul Roma, who has raised funds for various charities, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, was shocked at his reaction. He explained that he lost all respect for the former World Champion after this. The only reason he did not confront Hogan was that because then both of them would be out of jobs and Hulk would be suing him over the incident.

  • Gene Snitsky Reflects On Punting Baby During Segment With Lita

Gene Snitsky has reflected on his most famous segment with Lita.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as his Football career before wrestling, his run with ECW, his interactions with Vince McMahon and more.

During the interview, the 55-year-old also reflected on his segment with Lita where he kicked a baby. Gene Snitsky noted how he was a punter in football so it\’s ironic for him to be remembered for that segment:

“Well, here’s the thing, going back to like I was saying about football and all that, I was actually an all area punter my junior year of high school. I averaged like 37 yards as a junior in high school, so I had always had the leg to do it. And ironically, all these years later, that’s one of the things I’m known for. It’s kind of funny.”

Never In A Million Years: Gene Snitsky

When asked how he feels about the baby punting segment being part of his wrestling legacy, Gene Snitsky said that he doesn\’t know how to respond to that because it all happened very quickly:

“I don’t really know how to respond to that. When I got into wrestling, I never in a million years would have thought that whole storyline, just being thrown into it, because I had never done a dark match. Nobody knew who I was. I was just there, and then all of a sudden I’m the biggest heel on the show. It’s crazy, literally that quick.”

Gene Snitsky faced Kane in a singles match at the September 13, 2004, edition of Raw. During the match the Big Red Monster got distracted by Lita who was in kayfabe, pregnant with Kane\’s child. Using the distraction, Snitsky hit Kane from behind, causing him to fall on Lita which resulted in a miscarriage.

Gene\’s appearance was supposed be a one off but the angle got so over that he was called up permanently and put into a long feud with Kane and Lita. He instantly became one of the major heels of the show because of it and the mentioned segment came during this feud.

  • Details On Drew McIntyre & Sheamus \’Banger Bros\’ Segment That Was Shot Down Quickly

Drew McIntyre has had a career resurgence in recent times after making some major changes to his character and becoming one of the best promos in all of wrestling. Before this change however, the Scottish Warrior had pitched some ideas that might have taken his career in a completely different direction.

The former World Champion was involved in a storyline with Sheamus back in 2023. The real-life best friends feuded with each other and also teamed on a number of occasions during this time. The duo were referred to as Banger Bros on a few occasions but the name was dropped quickly after WWE learned that it was similar to a popular porn site.

Sheamus even mentioned this during his appearance on Pat McAfee show last week, noting that it got \’shut down real fast.\’ Now Fightful Select has provided some updates on what the former champion meant.

According to the site, not all WWE higher ups were aware of this connection at first and Drew McIntyre had actually pitched about using this coincidence for some light hearted skits poking fun at the whole thing.

One of the segments pitched by the Scottish Warrior himself would have seen the duo of McIntyre and Sheamus picking up the Alpha Academy in their van, after the group faced car troubles.

Once they were all in the van, a disagreement would rise up, leading to a fight. This would result in the rest of the group being kicked off the van, with only Maxxine Dupri remaining on-board.

Needless to say that the segment was never approved. Not only that but the name was nixed immediately after the pitch and the duo were told to not make the reference again.

  • Watch: Trailer For New CM Punk Project Premiering This Week

The trailer for a new CM Punk acting project has been revealed.

The SyFy channel recently released the trailer for their new murder mystery series featuring the WWE star, though the show comes with a twist.

The series titled Revival is set in a small town where deceased people start getting resurrected and return to their previous lives as if they were never dead.

The show featuring Melanie Scrofano in the lead role as local police officer Dana Cypress premiers this Thursday 6/12 at 10 PM Eastern. You can check out the trailer featuring CM Punk towards the end below:

The Straight Edge star is set for a big match on WWE TV in coming weeks as well. This comes after the former world champion interrupted the promo of his arch rival and 17-time world champion John Cena during this Monday\’s Raw.

John was raving about R-Truth who cost him his Money In The Bank match, while Punk cut a passionate promo about their history together. The Chicago native then told Cena to pick a date for a match between the two where Punk would take the WWE title from him.

The former AEW star tried challenging him for the title match at the Red Branded Show itself but John Cena told CM Punk that he\’s going to have to follow him to Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia if he wants the title shot. The bout which would be Punk\’s first match in the country was later made official.

  • Former NJPW Star\’s Status Remains Mystery A Year After Last Match

A wrestling star has been missing from the public eye for over a year.

Former NJPW star and a member of the esteemed Anoa\’i wrestling family, Hikuleo wrestled his last match for the Japanese promotion back on June 9, 2024.

In the months leading up to this final appearance, fellow NJPW alumni and real-life brothers of the wrestling star, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa joined WWE, becoming part of Solo Sikoa\’s Bloodline.

So no one was surprised when only a month later, Fightful Select reported that Hikuleo had officially joined the Endeavor owned promotion as well.

The adaptive son of WWE veteran Haku however has not only failed to make any appearances for the company in the past 12 months but there has not been any solid updates on his status either.

It seems logical that the officials had planned him to be a part of the Bloodline angle but things changed before the 34-year-old could make his first appearance for the company. There were some rumblings of him joining NXT late last year but that story went nowhere either.

The lack of appearances outside of WWE suggests that the wrestling star has survived the recent round of budget cuts that included the release of names such as Carlito and Shotzi from the company.

However, it\’s equally surprising that the creative has not come up with an story for the former Bullet Club member despite him being a multi time champion in NJPW.

Both Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are currently off TV due to different injuries. We can only hope that Hikuleo will also finally make his debut for the company whenever his brothers return to TV.

  • Backstage News On Mr. Iguana\’s Popularity And WWE Future

Mr. Iguana is a star and WWE knows it.

The AAA star became a hot topic of discussion after going viral for his Worlds Collide appearance over the Money In The Bank weekend. The company took notice of the unexpected surge in the wrestling star\’s popularity and brought him in for an appearance at the PPV event.

This Monday\’s episode of Raw then saw the company further promoting the wrestling veteran with a video package, and Fightful Select has provided some behind-the-scenes details on all of this.

According to the site, the internal reaction to Mr. Iguana at Worlds Collide was \’we have to get him to the Intuit Dome for a Money in the Bank appearance,\’ and the crowd reception for him at the show did not disappoint the officials.

The Mexican star was very popular both in the arena and in the locker room during the Saturday night show. He was approached for dozens of photos when the company seated him behind the commentary desk at the PLE, and many from the roster also approached him for pictures.

As for the high-flying star\’s reaction to all this, the higher-ups in WWE said that Mr. Iguana was a pleasure to work with, and he was happy to do any and all promotional work the company needed him to.

All this resulted in the trending star\’s merchandise performing exceptionally well and there was a lot internal praise for his performance translating well to social media. The officials have since been discussing ways to appropriately merchandise Mr. Iguana, including the possibility of producing iguana puppets.

In regards to future WWE appearances, one source within NXT has indicated that they will be pushing for him to appear at the development show. So it wouldn\’t be a surprise if he\’s seen posing with Shawn Michaels in coming days.

  • Watch: What Happened With Jey Uso After Raw Went Off Air

Jey Uso was emotional after his World Title loss.

The Bloodline star main-evented the June 10 episode of Monday Night Raw from PHX Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther.

Coming off his extreme tag team match at Money In The Bank a couple of days ago, Uso had the disadvantage of being banged up heading into the title defense. Though as Wade Barrett put it before the match, it\’s what being the world champion is all about.

The Yeet Man was joined by his son for his incredible entrance, and the World Champ put up the best fight he could against The Ring General. Gunther, who had only wrestled one match since his WrestleMania 41 loss, however, had the advantage and he ended up defeating Uso to win back the title.

    What Happened After Raw

The new Champion celebrated in the ring after the bell, and the show went off air, focusing on him. The Austrian star left soon after the cameras stopped rolling but Jey remained in the arena.

The now former world champ cut a short promo, introducing the crowd to his son. Jey Uso then said that he has respect for Gunther before ending his promo with some advice to the kids in the crowd.

Uso\’s title reign has come to an end at just 51 days with this loss. Gunther\’s win is an interesting development coming off Money In The Bank, where fellow heel Seth Rollins won the briefcase and the right to challenge a champion of his choosing at any time.

  • Drew McIntyre On If He\’s Unhappy With Damian Priest Feud

Drew McIntyre has explained how the collaboration between the current WWE management and the talents work.

Coming off his incredible 2024 rivalry with CM Punk, many thought McIntyre would be involved in a main event angle during the WrestleMania 41 season. He even had a feud with The Bloodline leading up to Royal Rumble but Drew ended up in a story with Damian Priest for the Show of Shows instead.

The Scottish Warrior talked about his work with Priest during his recent appearance on the Gorilla Position podcast. He was asked if he was not happy with the pivot in this direction and Drew McIntyre gave an ambiguous answer:

\”I mean, [laughs] this is WWE. If you know anything about watching the show, you know things are not always as they seem. And if you know anything about being backstage, things change every freaking second.\”

Last minute changes were a staple of the Vince McMahon management. When asked if it was still a thing, the former World Champion explained that they still have to listen to the crowd:

\”I mean not as much but, it depends on how things are feeling, how the crowd are reacting. If things aren\’t playing out how we want them to play out or the fans aren\’t feeling something, they\’re going to change in a second.\”

    It\’s Very Collaborative: Drew McIntyre

The new WWE management under Triple H has been praised by many superstars for being much more collaborative with talents. When asked if this is really the case, Drew McIntyre replied positively. He gave an example of how the writers respond when someone like him comes up with an idea that he wants to implement instantly:

\”Yep, it is very collaborative. I mean everybody is on the same page. Things change and that\’s just the nature of the industry. But everybody is communicating now [like] \’Okay, we\’re going in this direction now. How we\’re going to make it make logical sense.\’

Our opinion matters more than ever these days. The great thing about the collaboration for somebody like myself, you know outside the company. Sometimes I\’m like \’Right, I gotta do all this right now. I\’ve got these ideas. I want to throw them out on this one show.\’

And the writers are there saying \’Okay, this is the idea but how about if we split some of that stuff up week to week, so we\’re able to tell that story a little bit slower. We have 52 weeks, remember.\’\”

McIntyre said that this is the good thing about collaboration because you need people like himself who are willing to take an idea and run away with it. However, you also need someone to pull back at times and help them see things from a different perspective.

  • Triple H Teases Unexpected WWE Collaborations In Coming Times

Triple H has teased collaborations from \’different sources\’ in the coming times.

The Game took part in the Money In The Bank post show where he was asked about Cardi B potentially wrestling in WWE. H interestingly claimed that working with the music star is like \’hanging on to the tiger’s tail.\’

The WWE Executive then mentioned how there are many artists from different categories who want to work with the company. They\’re working to determine which one of them deserve the chance:

\”There\’s a lot of artists out there across so many different things now that are just…they\’re fans and looking to come in and do things with us and we\’ll vet through them and try to figure out what [are] the ones that can do the most and be a positive for our fan base and just help to expand the product out beyond the realm of just wrestling fans and get the rest of the world into what we\’re doing.\”

My Mind Is Spinning: Triple H

Triple H also teased some unexpected collaborations for the company in the coming times, claiming that the fans would not expect them to go down that road:

\”There\’s a lot of…my mind is spinning as I\’m saying it, but there\’s a lot of exciting things that will be coming up. I believe over the next year or two from a lot of different sources. Many of which you wouldn\’t expect us to maybe go down that road. That will be additive to the business.

So I think it\’s a really cool time where things are clicking. The world is watching and they\’re excited about what we\’re doing. You see it across the numbers of everything we\’re doing. So exciting time and just keep watching cuz with people like Cardi [B] you never know.\”

Apart from this, the WWE Chief Content Officer also answered a question about R-Truth\’s MITB return. Though his remarks have already received some pushback from multiple sources. You can check out more about it here.

  • Top WWE Executive Arranged R-Truth\’s Money In The Bank Return [Report]

R-Truth\’s WWE return did not come easy.

Triple H tried to suggest over the Money In The Bank post show that release and the surprise PPV return of the WWE star was a work. Truth\’s son however, pretty much confirmed that it wasn\’t the case.

Fightful Select provided some more details on how things unfolded since June 1, when the beloved WWE star originally announced his departure from the company. It was later confirmed that the officials had decided not to renew his deal, instead of firing him mid-contract.

Per the report, the backstage reaction to the news was not good. Many tears were shed over the news and Truth was flooded with phone calls and messages from his peers. One talent said that the wrestling veteran was let go \’in a very cold and impersonal way\’ with an office employee informing him of the news instead of someone from the top brass reaching out despite his long tenure with the promotion.

R-Truth, real name Ron Killings reportedly ignored many of WWE\’s approaches during the week when the office realized the magnitude of the fan backlash and tried to backtrack on their decision. In the end, WWE President Nick Khan himself called the released star to work things out.

Previous reports had said that the company did not think Truth\’s current salary was on par with how they were using him. They had offered him a pay cut for contract renewal which Killings had declined. The new deal that he has signed was apparently a \’meeting halfway\’ situation.

In regards to the notion that the whole thing was a work, a number of talents have repeated that it wasn\’t planned. One wrestler noted that Ron \’would never lie\’ to them and would have instead asked them to not say anything if it was a storyline.

In light of Triple H\’s comment about the situation, one veteran said that they can tell Hunter \’doesn\’t like the fans hijacking creative.\’ Though a different talent noted that even The Game knows that \’lying to or working the locker room is horrible taste.\’

Stay tuned for more updates on R-Truth\’s WWE future after his return.

  • Triple H Comments On Cardi B Potentially Wrestling In WWE

Triple H also doesn\’t know what to expect from WWE\’s partnership with Cardi B.

The WWE Chief Content Officer took part in the Money In The Bank post-show. He was asked about the music star hosting the 2025 SummerSlam event and if she could follow the footsteps of celebrities like Bad Bunny and enter the ring herself.

The Game responded, saying that Cardi B has been a lot of fun to work with so far. However, he explained that controlling her is not an easy task and it\’ll be hard to talk her out of a potential match if she sets her mind on it:

\”I don\’t know if anybody can control Cardi B. Let me just start with that. So if she wants to, I think it\’s going to be hard to talk her out of it. What can we expect? Who the hell knows. The one thing I know about Cardi is, whatever she\’s going to do is what she\’s going to do, and you\’re sort of hanging on to the tiger\’s tail a little bit there.

She\’s a lot of fun to work with, has been so far with this. She\’s excited to do it. I think everybody knows, she\’s a big fan and has talked a lot about the business over the years, and comments on it a lot. When you work with people like that, it\’s exciting. We\’ll see where that goes. We\’re thrilled to be working with her.\”

Triple H later noted that there are many artists who are fans of today\’s WWE and want to be part of the show. So they have to carefully choose which names they want to involve with the company based on who can do the most and be a positive for the fanbase.

The WWE Executive also briefly commented on R-Truth\’s surprise return trying to suggest that his release was a work. Truth\’s son himself, however, has confirmed that it wasn\’t the case. You can check out more about it here.

She’s really getting into wrestling, and she could take the cheap shots from Lyra. She could take me getting the cheap shots. She could take me getting a little beat up. She could take that.

But what she could not take was the disrespect from the Los Angeles crowd. Everybody chanting, ‘Becky sucks!’ She could not take that. That made my baby cry. She had to walk out of here. She didn\’t even see me win the championship. She didn\’t even see Lyra raise my hand. The disrespect. The disrespect.”
