  • Maven Reflects On Beating Undertaker For Hardcore Title

Maven has reflected on one of his career highlights.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as becoming a YouTube personality, if he\’s retired from wrestling, taking the first F5 and more.

During the interview, Maven also discussed one of his biggest career moments, when he beat The Undertaker for the Hardcore Championship. The 48-year-old mentioned how The Rock interfered in the bout leading to his win, and explained that being paired with such huge stars was big for him:

“It’s big for me because it was The Rock. He’s [Undertaker] got me in the dragon sleeper, and you can physically see my eyes looking up the ramp, because I knew that was the spot when The Rock was coming out with the chair.\”

    It\’s Just Crazy: Maven

Maven had made his wrestling debut only 4 months before this match as part of the Tough Enough reality show. The former champion discussed how life was moving very fast for him at the time and only a few months back he was working as a teacher:

It’s just crazy again, how life works out. A year and a half prior to that, I’m a sixth-grade school teacher with a ‘The Rock says…’ bulletin board in my classroom, and they just a year and a half later, I’m in a match where he’s hitting The Undertaker with his finish to allow me to beat him. How does life work out that way?”

The wrestling veteran also revealed that he used to go under the elevated ramps to listen to the pop for big stars and claimed that the pop for The Rock during this match was insane.

  • Watch: What Happened With Kenny Omega After 2300 Arena Dynamite Went Off Air

Kenny Omega was potentially written off TV after Dynamite.

This week\’s episode of the Wednesday night show, coming live from the 2300 Arena, featured an 8-man tag team match in the main event. The Cleaner teamed up with “Hangman” Adam Page & JetSpeed to take on the Don Callis Family & Young Bucks in this bout.

After a chaotic fight, the heels won the match. The ending saw Kyle Fletcher delivering a brainbuster on Kevin Knight to get the pin for his team.

Things didn\’t end there, however, as the heels continued beating their opponents. Page was put through an open chair by Fletcher after which Omega covered his friend to save him from further damage.

    What Happened After Dynamite

A table was set up outside for the current AEW Champion, but Kenny Omega interfered in these plans. The former NJPW star tried to fight off the heels on his own but the numbers proved too much. Kenny was then put through the table outside, originally intended for Hangman.

The show went off air with the medics checking on the former AEW champion. The company later posted a video of Omega being stretchered off after the broadcast ended as the fans cheered him on.

Kenny is reported to still be dealing with the effects of his diverticulitis diagnosis, and he is said to be in a lot of pain. It\’s possible that this angle was done to write Omega off for recovery following his brutal steel cage match at Forbidden Door.

  • MVP Set For Second-Only AEW Match At All Out

MVP is returning to the ring.

This week\’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a backstage segment where Ricochet and Gates of Agony challenged the Hurt Syndicate to a match at the upcoming All Out PPV. The One and Only specifically mentioned that he wasn\’t laying out a challenge but demanding the match.

MPV later accepted the challenge in another backstage segment during the September 3 episode, confirming his in-ring return:

This wasn\’t the only All Out match announced for the show tonight. A returning Riho was confirmed to be challenging Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship after she saved Alex Windsor from a post-match attack.

Since joining AEW in September 2024, MVP has wrestled only one match for the company. He joined his Hurt Syndicate partners to defeat Mark Briscoe & Private Party during the January 15 episode of Dynamite this year.

Though he has stayed active in the independent circuit, competing for promotions such as NEW, and CCW since his AEW in-ring debut.

AEW All out will be taking place from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 20, 2025. The show was recently moved up in the day to avoid competition with WWE WrestlePalooza on the same day. You can check out details of this change here.

  • It Got Weird: Ex-WWE Star Reveals How Vince McMahon 2023 Return Changed Backstage Environment

Vince McMahon\’s 2023 return changed WWE for the worse.

The former WWE owner announced his retirement from the company in July 2022 in light of hush money allegations. This exile only lasted 6 months however, as McMahon forced his way back in the promotion in early 2023. He would go on to sell the company to Endeavor who merged it with UFC under the TKO banner.

During a recent interview with PWMania, former WWE star Doc Gallows talked about the environment of the locker room at the time. Gallows with his tag team partner Karl Anderson was one of the names brought back by Triple H during Vince\’s hiatus. According to him, the backstage environment was very different when McMahon was not there:

“Yeah, when we came back in October of 2022, it felt great. It felt fresh. It felt new. Then, a few short months later, we’re in New York and we’re getting ready to leave the building and a limousine pulls up and we see a moustachioed man pop out and it was Vince McMahon coming back for the first time, we happened to see him in the parking garage.”

    Certainly Got Weird: Doc Gallows

Doc Gallows explained that Vince McMahon\’s sudden return changed everything and things got very weird because of all the transition that was happening:

“I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors there, but from that point on, everything certainly got weird. Whether it was the Vince thing and then the eventual sale to TKO, and however that timeline worked. But, you know, you could feel the winds of change.\”

While the Good Brothers remained with the company even after Vince\’s exit from TKO, their TV role was reduced by a lot upon his return. Gallows mentioned that it was like wearing golden handcuffs, as they were still getting paid without getting the chance to perform. The former champions were released from the company in February this year.

  • Watch: NXT Legends Make Surprise Return To Confront TNA Champion

A couple of legendary NXT names have returned in their old avatar.

This week\’s episode the development brand featured a segment with the TNA World Champion Trick Williams. The NXT star claimed that the brand\’s alumni did not care about NXT and he didn\’t blame them because he won\’t care when he gets called up either.

This prompted the return of Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa. The duo, collectively known as #DIY, not only used their old theme song but they brought back their old merchandise for the surprise NXT return as well.

Gargano mentioned that it was the ten-year anniversary of their NXT debut and claimed that the two former champions still care about the show.

The legendary tag team then talked about their accomplishments in the brand and discussed how it has been home of many great superstars over the years, referencing names such as Finn Balor, Bayley and even The Undisputed Era.

The segment ended with Gargano and Ciampa taking down Williams with Meet In The Middle and then hyping up the NXT crowd.

DIY were one of the faces of the NXT brand during its Black & Gold era. They had a run with the NXT tag titles and between them, the two share 3 NXT title reigns and 3 reigns with the North American Championship.

  • Bronson Reed Reveals What Triple H Told Him About 2024 WarGames Injury

Bronson Reed has revealed his first reaction to his 2024 injury.

The heavyweight star suffered a foot injury while competing in the WarGames match at the 2024 Survivor Series PLE in November. The injury kept him out of action for more than 6 months and led to him missing important events such as Raw\’s Netflix debut and WrestleMania 41 before he returned in May this year.

The 37-year-old opened up about this time during a recent interview with Rolling Stone, while promoting the upcoming Crown Jewel: Perth event in October.

Revealing his immediate reaction to the injury, Bronson Reed claimed that he was in shock more than pain. The former NJPW star was being pushed by the company as a monster heel at the time, and he felt like the injury would derail his career:

\”In the moment, I remember it happening, and I wasn’t even in pain. I think I was in more shock, like, ‘Oh no, what’s this gonna mean?’ I stood up and I walked backstage. The doctors didn’t think I had anything broken because I was able to walk.\”

You\’re Gonna Be In The Right Spot: Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed mentioned that he couldn\’t even stand on his foot after the adrenaline had worn off but the creative head Triple H reassured him about his spot:

“He called me himself, and he said, ‘Just worry about rehabbing and getting yourself right again…when you come back here, you’re gonna be in the right spot.”

Triple H fulfilled his promised as Bronson Reed joined The Vision faction upon his return, aligning himself with the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker.

  • Kelly Kelly Says Reason She Missed Evolution II Is Different Than People Think

Kelly Kelly has taken a turn on her Evolution II absence.

The former Divas Champion was one of the names surprisingly missing from the All-Women PPV earlier this year. Reports had suggested that she had declined the offer for an appearance because she wanted to wrestle at the PPV but the management wanted her to just sit in the crowd.

Kelly herself had written \’to sit in the crowd it just didn’t feel like the right way to come back\’ while responding to a post about the PLE on social media at the time.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, however, Kelly Kelly gave a different reason behind her refusal. The wrestling veteran was first asked about being a mom, and she discussed how her kids are her priority now and all her life decisions are based on what\’s right for her children.

Discussing Evolution, the former champion claimed that she said no to the show because her kids would not have been able to attend:

“I wanted to talk about this, because it was a thing. So when I got the call, it was in Atlanta, obviously.

Again, it was one of the weekends, the only weekend I had off, and my kids, I think they had something going on. And I feel like when I come back, I want my kids to see me there and they wouldn’t been able to make it.\”

Could Not Have Been Farther From The Truth: Kelly Kelly

Kelly Kelly later confirmed that she was only asked to attend the show last minute, and her husband was also working that weekend. When asked if she could have made things work if given more time, the female star who lives in LA replied positively, saying that she couldn\’t fly to Atlanta on such a short notice:

\”Somebody on the dirt sheets was like, ‘Oh, somebody in the higher ups said that she only wants to come back if she has a match’, which could not have been farther from the truth.

I didn’t need a match to come back. If it was in LA, I would have been there no questions asked. But to fly across the country to do that, like I said in the beginning, with my kids, I’m very picky about what I say yes and no to right now.\”

The wrestling star later claimed that the WWE officials are well aware of the reason behind her decision and they were totally fine with it. Kelly Kelly explained that there was never a conversation about her having a match at the event.

  • Kenny Omega Reacts To Reports of His Health

Kenny Omega has reassured his fans.

The former AEW Champion was reported to be dealing with some health issues following his Forbidden Door match, and many wondered if he\’ll be taking time off from the company.

The wrestling veteran responded to the concerns about his health on X earlier on Friday. He mentioned that everyone is dealing with some kind of pain in their lives and assured the fans that he\’ll be back on TV next week:

\”Everybody is in some way, right?  Let’s not worry about me, we got work to do next week! I’ll be fine\”

Kenny Omega teamed up with Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Will Ospreay, and Kota Ibushi to take on Death Riders, The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in a brutal steel cage match at the Forbidden Door PPV.

The Cleaner then debuted a new clean-shaven look on this past Wednesday\’s episode of Dynamite, as he came out to help Hangman Page against Don Callis.

Omega spent the whole of 2024 recovering from a diagnosis of diverticulitis. In an interview last month, the former champion had revealed the lasting effects of his illness. The former NJPW star had mentioned that it takes days for him to recover from a tough bout, and he is in constant pain.

  • Jordynne Grace Reveals Latest On Jonathan Gresham After Recent Stroke

Jordynne Grace has provided an update on Jonathan Gresham.

The former ROH Champion had to be rushed to the hospital earlier this month after suffering two strokes. Gresham had revealed that he woke up unable to walk or move the left side of his body. He was able to dial 911 after a lot of struggle and next woke up in the hospital.

Grace, who is married to the wrestling veteran, was asked about his condition during her interview with Adrian Hernandez. The NXT star revealed some positive news, confirming that Jonathan is cleared for everything now except for wrestling:

“It was very scary. He’s actually bounced back incredibly well. He’s at 100 percent. He’s cleared right now to do pretty much everything, like work out. Everything besides wrestle.\”

The former Knockouts champion noted that she had an extensive talk with the doctors about the whole thing but they have not been able to figure out the cause behind the stroke.

Though they believe Jonathan Gresham\’s age allowed him to bounce back quickly, and he will be able to return to the ring \’in a matter of weeks.\’

Apart from this, the WWE star also talked about her rookie year in the development brand, Naomi announcing her pregnancy and more. You can check out her full interview below:

  • Backstage News On Will Ospreay\’s Injury

Will Ospreay will be stepping away after Forbidden Door but no one knows for how long.

The Ariel Assassin returned to AEW last week to challenge Death Riders for an unsanctioned Steel Cage match at the Forbidden Door PPV. On this week\’s Dynamite, Ospreay then revealed that he\’ll be competing at the show despite his neck issues and claimed that the doctors had not cleared him for the match.

Fightful Select provided some more updates on his condition. They noted that Ospreay went into All In Texas knowing that he would need time off. His condition forced the company to shuffle things around and make drastic changes to tentative plans coming out of the show.

Many in the promotion were hopeful that he would not wrestle at the Forbidden Door PPV, but the former IWGP champion made it clear that working the show from his home country was very important for him.

People expect Will Ospreay to take time off after the London show this weekend, though there is no timetable on how long he will be out. Ospreay implied that he\’ll be needing surgery during his promo this week but no one has outright been told that he\’ll be getting one.

Ospreay originally was not going to cut the promo revealing his injury but he was asked to step up last minute due to other wrestlers not being cleared. Despite him claiming otherwise however, Will has been cleared to compete in the Steel Cage match this Sunday.

  • Watch: WWE Uses Alternate Version of John Cena Segment For SmackDown USA Broadcast

WWE made a curious change to one of the SmackDown segments for the USA broadcast.

The latest episode of the Blue Branded show was held in 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, before the Clash in Paris PPV. The show was broadcasted live on Netflix for international audience while a taped version was shown in the US later in the day.

One of the prominent stories of the show was the continued rivalry between Logan Paul and John Cena, who are set for a singles match at the upcoming PLE.

The two former champions came face to face in a heated promo battle during the show which ended with the Cenation Leader delivering an Attitude Adjustment to the YouTube star.

Alternate Version of John Cena Segment

This wasn\’t their last interaction, however. The ending of the broadcast saw Nick Aldis finding John Cena backstage to tell him something about Brock Lesnar. Logan Paul came from the side and attacked Cena before Aldis could complete.

Though the company seemingly re-shot this angle for the US broadcast of SmackDown. Paul can be seen emerging from behind Aldis to slap Cena as seen in the updated version:

It\’s unknown why the company decided to use an alternate version of the angle but it makes more sense for the 17 time world champion to be caught off guard with Paul emerging from behind the SmackDown GM instead of the side.

  • Tony Khan Names One Wrestling Legend He Would Have Signed To AEW

Tony Khan has named the one wrestling legend he would have loved to sign in his prime.

The AEW President recently had an interview with Z100 New York. He talked about things such as the 2025 Full Gear PPV, booking Bryan Danielson\’s world title run, people saying AEW doesn\’t have stories and more.

During the interview, Khan was also asked which talent from past or present he would like to sign to his promotion if he could. Tony named The Texas Rattlesnake as someone he would have loved to be part of his company:

“Steve Austin. If you could get Steve Austin in the 90s and just have Steve Austin for the decade of the 90s, he’s the greatest ever. He’s a great human. I love Steve Austin.

He was very nice to me, haven’t seen him in a long time. He was very kind to have me on his show after the original Double or Nothing and I am one of the biggest fans of his.\”

Tony Khan also claimed that he would have been fortunate to work with any iteration of the WWE Hall of Famer from the 90s, whether it be Stunning Steve, Superstar Steve, the Ringmaster or his most famous Stone Cold Steve Austin run.

The wrestling executive had recently talked about Jon Moxley\’s AEW title reign elevating young stars as well. He had revealed that one of the talents Mox wrestled during his run is going to be out of action for a long time due to injury. You can check out his remarks here.

  • Jade Cargill Responds To Criticism of Being Pushed Too Soon

Jade Cargill has responded to haters.

The female talent has found success early in her wrestling career. She became the inaugural TBS Champion only months after her wrestling debut for AEW in 2021 and had a 508-day-long reign with the championship. She was given the star treatment upon joining WWE in 2023, and Jade made her debut directly on the main roster despite her limited experience.

All this success, however, has also attracted some criticism for the former Basketball player. The former champion responded to some of this hate during her appearance on The Babyfaces Podcast. Jade Cargill mentioned how her success has changed the expectations for some aspiring wrestlers:

“I’m four years and some change now in this industry and I think the other person I think had the less amount of time was Bianca [Belair] and I think she was 11 years in the game, and people want things so quick and so fast because I’ve been pushed to the moon because I’m gonna be a star and people see that.\”

Now Everyone Loves Roman: Jade Cargill

Jade Cargil then mentioned how Roman Reigns also got a lot of hate for his early push but he\’s been able to turn things around. She later revealed what Bryan Danielson told her about her skills:

\”People used to say stuff about Roman. Now, everybody loves Roman. People wanna see Roman more and so, and I’ve had people like Bryan Danielson who literally was like, ‘It took me seven years to feel comfortable. How are you doing this? This is wild.\”

The WWE star noted that she has always had the ability to not let people get you down. She explained that feeding on negativity is what society does and you should not care about it.

  • Former UFC Owner Rumored To Be Involved In Potential TNA Sale

Could TNA be sold in the near future?

There has been a lot of talk about TNA\’s future in the wrestling world recently. With the company\’s recent resurgence and partnership with WWE, there has been a belief that TNA could land a new TV deal soon with much better exposure.

A new report from Fightful Select, however, reveals a potential direction for the company that not many would have predicted. According to the report, Anthem officials have also been exploring a potential sale for the company alongside the new TV deals, and they\’ve sent feelers to potential buyers.

The officials being interested in a sale is not new, and the company has had talks with potential buyers within the wrestling world in recent years. Former TNA president Scott D\’Amore has publicly talked about his unsuccessful efforts to buy the company, and Tony Khan also revealed that he was approached by the promotion before he founded AEW.

Though the report reveals that it wasn\’t the only time Khan was approached about a potential buy. Tony was offered the company again a few years after starting his own promotion. The Jacksonville Jaguars owner, however, opted against it since most of the AEW veterans have more history with ROH than TNA.

An interesting rumor about the potential sale is the involvement of former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta. Fertitta worked with Dana White for decades and has an obvious TKO connection, which could help him in the talks of a potential sale.

What\’s really in the future of the wrestling promotion is anyone\’s guess, but with the latest reports, it appears that all options are on the table for Anthem.

When Things Get Hard: Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill also discussed how Naomi has been able to unlock a new level to her performance after more than 15 years in the business. She hoped that the current champion\’s love for the sport would inspire her to keep working hard as well:

\”The fact that she still loves this business after being in it for so long, because it can become taxing and it can become so, so much, right? But she strapped up her boots and she’s still pushing it,

And she’s still in love with it. I’m hoping she inspires me to keep on pushing, strap up my boots and keep pushing when it’s time, when things get hard as well.”

Naomi was scheduled to defend her Women\’s title at this past Monday\’s Raw against IYO SKY. This bout was cancelled hours before the show however, with the company announcing that the defending champion was not cleared to compete. You can check out more about it here.

The former NXT Champion made his last appearance for the company at SummerSlam, where he lost to Sami Zayn. His contract with the promotion then expired on August 10. Reports suggested that the officials only offered him a new deal at the very last second, which the heavyweight star rejected.

In his new interview with Ariel Helwani, Karrion Kross confirmed these reports. He revealed that WWE only offered him a new deal on the Tuesday after SummerSlam. The officials also did not provide any information on how they came up with the terms for the new contract:

“My contract was up last week. I never actually received a contract, like an offer, until last week. I think it was Tuesday off the top of my head. Okay. I got the offer.

I wanted to know how they came to the valuation of that offer. Just wanted some information, some metrics, some analytics that’s supporting to, Hey, this is how we got here.\”

That\’s Where We\’re At: Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross revealed that not only were the officials unwilling to discuss the contract details with him, they also gave him only 24 hours to sign the deal. The 40-year-old, however, decided not to give in to the ultimatum and made the call to end his run with the promotion instead:

\”When I inquired about that, they were unwilling to provide that information and told me [I] had 24 hours to agree to the offer or they were they were rescinding it.

The next day, we talk. I ask if they have the information. They don’t. I said, I can’t make an informed decision without the information. I’d like to keep the dialogue open. They rescind the offer, and that’s actually where we’re at.”

Though despite the manner of his departure, Karrion Kross is not opposed to a WWE return because he wants to give people what they want. You can check out his remarks on the matter here.

  • Sheamus Reveals Vince McMahon\’s Reaction To His Mohawk

Sheamus thought he looked cool with a mohawk.

The Celtic Warrior recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. He talked about things such as the origin of the famous burger after burger insult from Drew McIntyre, winning the WWE title from John Cena, his dream guests for his YouTube workout series and more.

During the talk, Sheamus also opened up about his mohawk look, which he debuted upon returning from an injury in March 2015. The former world champion revealed that he did not take permission from the office for the change and Vince McMahon was not very happy about it:

“The great thing about that was I pissed the brass off on that one, because I didn’t ask for permission, I just did it. I think I’ve been off with an injury, and I just kind of felt stagnant,

And I’d done that babyface. I was just like, I need something different and cool, right? So I did it, and I think Vince was pissed big time because I didn’t tell him I was doing it.\”

Like A Bleeding Ass Kicker: Sheamus

In his mind, Sheamus thought the mohawk made him look badass and he hoped that the audience would think the same. The first time he came out with it, however, the fans in the arena reacted in the opposite way:

\”But I did all this stuff, my beard and all the braids and everything, and I thought man, I look cool, dude. I look badass. I look like a bleeding ass kicker again. I’m gonna go out there.

I think I attacked Wade and Bryan. I was going out, I looked badass and I thought people are gonna go, this guy looks cool. I walked out, and then some bollocks in the audience started a ‘You look stupid\’ chant, and that was it.\”

The wrestling veteran later revealed that even his mother was not aware of his new look, and she called him crying when she first saw the picture of him with a Mohawk. Though Sheamus decided to lean into the negative reaction and used the heat for his heel run that started with his return.

  • Sheamus Reveals Backstage Details of The \’Burger vs. Burger\’ Line

Sheamus has revealed who was behind the burger after burger line.

The former World Champion recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as moving to the US from Ireland, slamming Mark Cuban through a table, winning the WWE title from John Cena early in his career and more.

The Celtic Warrior also talked about the insult from Drew McIntyre that went viral last year. Sheamus mentioned how he let himself go during his absence from the company before that segment and got mocked online by the fans when he came back in a new ring gear and bad physical shape:

\”I kind of just said, I don’t give a sh*t anymore, so I’m going to eat what I want and not really work out. So I kind of just didn’t care.

When I came back with my new biker shorts, booty shorts, it was not good. I got absolutely slaughtered online. I mean, slaughtered. At first, I was like oh my God, I was like, Oh no. Then I was like well in fairness I did kind of like to go party like it was the end of the world.\”

    I Leant Into It: Sheamus

Sheamus suffered a shoulder injury back in September 2023 that kept him out of action for more than 6 months. The Irish star returned to the company during the April 15, 2024, episode of Raw with new green trunks. Drew McIntyre confronted his former tag team partner on the next episode of the Red Branded show and dropped the line that went viral.

The 47-year-old revealed that the idea for the insult was his own. He came up with it after seeing the reception to his comeback and deciding that the best thing to do with all the negative reactions was to lean into it:

\”So, anyway, I leant into it, it was great. But the promo me and Drew did the burger after burger line, what’s that show on WWE now, behind the scenes, Unreal? So I’m gonna give you my own unreal moment. I gave Drew the burger after burger line.

Because I was gonna lean into it. He was like, ‘You want me to say that?’ I was like ‘I want you to say it, it’s everywhere, bro, it’s everywhere. Have you not seen Twitter in the last seven days? Have you not seen I’m getting slaughtered?’

So we did it, I gave him the line of his career. And you know why? Because that’s what it is, fella, it’s entertainment. That’s what it’s about.”

Sheamus was officially drafted to the Raw brand in the following Draft and he started a feud with Pete Dunne. He has not been used much by the company in recent times. The wrestling veteran has had only 10 televised matches in 2025 so far, with Royal Rumble being his only PPV appearance this year.

  • Another Wrestler Working As Producer For AEW

Another AEW name is now working behind the scenes.

It was revealed recently that former TH2 member Angelico who signed with the company back in 2019 was now working as a producer for the promotion.

Now a new report from Fightful Select has revealed that the AEW original is not the only active wrestler that has got a double role in the company.

According to the site, “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese has also been serving as a coach/agent in Tony Khan\’s promotion for quite some time.

Similar to Angelico, Nese has also reduced his in-ring workload in the last couple of years, and he\’s mostly been wrestling under the ROH banner with some cameos on AEW programming.

Tony Nese is a 20-year veteran of the industry who has wrestled for promotions such as Evolve, Dragon Gate USA and TNA since his debut back in 2005.

His most famous stint with a company is his WWE run, which began with his participation in the cruiserweight classic tournament back in 2016. He was part of Raw\’s Cruiserweight Division and later 205 Live.

Tony even had a run with the Cruiserweight title after winning the belt at the WrestleMania 35 pre-show. He joined AEW in late 2021 after being released during the COVID budget cuts.

  • Adam Copeland And Christian Cage Set To Team First Time Since 2011 After Dynamite Reunion

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are back together.

This week\’s episode of AEW Dynamite from The Andrew Brady Music Center in Cincinnati featured a singles match with Cope in action against Stokely Hathaway.

Hathaway had to be forced into the ring by the security to get the match started and Cope was in control during this short fight. The bout ended in DQ when FTR finally decided to come to their manager\’s aid and Stokely threw powder in his opponent\’s eyes.

The duo of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood started assaulting the former World Champion after the bell, untill Christian Cage came out to make the save.

    Adam Copeland and Christian Reunite

Cage came out with Spike in hand and he got FTR to retreat. Nick Wayne tried to attack Christian from behind with a chair but the former TNT champion managed to get the upper hand using Spike.

Adam Copeland then delivered a spear to Kip Sabian before he turned around to face his Attitude Era tag team partner.

The two were unsure of each other at first but they softened up and Cage gave spike back to Adam. The former TNA star then tried to leave the ring but Copeland pulled him back and hugged him, reuniting the legendary tag team.

After this segment, AEW announced that Christian Cage and Adam Copeland will be teaming up to face Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne at Forbidden Door, for their first match together since 2011.

  • Brock Lesnar Advertised For Two SmackDown Episodes

Brock Lesnar\’s next WWE appearances have seemingly been revealed.

The Beast Incarnate made his controversial return to the company at SummerSlam earlier this month, attacking John Cena after his main event match against Cody Rhodes. Triple H even suggested that Lesnar was brought back on Cena\’s request, even though the Cenation Leader has since spoken against the idea.

This is why a lot of people were surprised when he didn\’t appear on the following Raw or SmackDown to build out the teased match with the Hollywood star.

Though now Brock\’s next WWE appearance has seemingly been confirmed. The former world champion is now being advertised for the September 12 episode of SmackDown from Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia and the September 19 episode of the show from The Huntington Arena in Toledo, OH.

Reports suggest that WWE is planning John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar to be the main event of their unannounced PPV set for September 20, that will go head-to-head with AEW All Out.

The advertised dates fall in line with this plan as the former UFC star will have to be present to build his match with the 17-time world champion.

John Cena has 11 appearances left as an active superstar. The company will have very few dates left to build his retirement match after the bout with Lesnar, which will likely not be at a PPV. You can check out more about it here.

  • Samoa Joe Reveals Injury During Twisted Metal S2 Shooting

Samoa Joe has revealed details of a recent injury he suffered.

The former AEW Champion was written off TV with an injury angle at the All In: Texas PPV last month. This was done so he could take time off to promote the second season of Twisted Metal, where he plays the character of Sweet Tooth.

Joe spoke to PWInsider recently to promote the season now streaming on Peacock. During the interview, the Samoan Submission Machine revealed that he actually suffered an injury on the set, fracturing his ankle during a spot:

\”Halfway through the season, I fractured my ankle. Nothing crazy — we had done a series of pretty crazy driving stunts and some dangerous things here and there.

Then it was just parking, and I had to hop out the back on some really rocky, busted-up asphalt. I turned my ankle and spent the rest of the season taping it up and limping through it.\”

Samoa Joe discussed how Twisted Metal is an incredible physical series that includes many fighting scenes. Though the wrestling veteran noted that it\’s not a new territory for him because of all the time he has spent in the ring.

The former TNA star also provided an update on his wrestling return. He claimed that the injury will not keep him out of action for long. He\’ll be back to business as soon as he\’s done clearing various medical protocols.

  • Bret Hart Reveals Unexpected Opinion On Jelly Roll\’s SummerSlam Performance

Bret Hart has revealed his take on celebrity wrestlers.

The wrestling legend recently had an interview with The Rap On Wrestling Podcast. He talked about things such as Cody Rhodes potentially turning heel, which is the biggest match of the year in his opinion and more.

When asked about his take on celebrity wrestlers, Bret Hart, who is generally hard on talents, said that he actually likes the involvement of celebrities. He gave the example of Lawrence Taylor facing Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania 11 as someone who did a good job despite not being from the pro wrestling world:

“I actually like it. I like- I’m more, it’s hard for me to sing the praises of a lot of people today but like I remember when LT, like Lawrence Taylor, when he wrestled Bam Bam at one of the WrestleMania’s a long time ago. But I always thought he did such a great job for a guy that wasn’t a wrestler.\”

If You Got The Guts: Bret Hart

Bret Hart continued by saying that Taylor could have hung up his football cleats and become a full-time wrestler if he wanted to, because he was a natural fit for it. The Hitman also brought up Jelly Roll\’s recent SummerSlam performance and said that you should go for it if you have the guts:

\”So I would say.. if you got the guts and you think you can do it and you can do it well, like Jelly Roll, you know, I think go for it. Live your dreams.\”

The singing star teamed up with Randy Orton to face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul at SummerSlam. After the PPV, Triple H suggested that it wasn\’t the last of Jelly Roll we\’ll see in WWE. You can check out what he said here.
