  • Grayson Waller Reveals John Cena Advice That Flipped His Perspective

Grayson Waller has revealed how John Cena changed his perspective about his spot in WWE.

The Australian star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about things such as his dream match in WWE, his start in pro wrestling, if he ever thought he\’d be signed by the company, and more.

When asked about his future goals in WWE, Waller mentioned how the roster is very stacked right now and he\’s just trying to make the best of every opportunity he is getting. Grayson then recalled a backstage meeting with John Cena when he was first called up to the main roster:

\”He said something that really stuck with me, where he talked about, ‘You don’t have to do the Netflix break promo. You don’t have to wrestle before the show, you don’t have to do the dark match, you get to.’\”

    That Changed Everything: Grayson Waller

Grayson Waller discussed how the one comment changed his perspective completely, and he realised how many people would be very happy to be in his spot. Now if he gets even a 30-second backstage segment, he\’s tries to make sure that people are going to share it. According to the 35-year-old, his mindset now is to make sure every moment he gets means something:

\”It’s like, you get three minutes to say whatever you want on Netflix. You get to wrestle before the show when they’re the hottest, when they’re the most excited, and you get to wrestle another great Superstar. And when he said that, it changed my perspective a little bit. Who are we to complain about it?

I have mates at home who would literally give everything in their life to wrestle before Raw. Who am I to go, oh man, I gotta wrestle, I hated that I even possibly thought those things. So once he said that, that changed everything for me.\”

Apart from this, Grayson Waller was also asked about the status of his A-Town Down Under team. The former NXT star claimed that he doesn\’t know what that is. When reminded about Austin Theory, Waller claimed that the \’big jacked idiot\’ being gone is a good thing.

  • Triple H Reveals Similarities Between Donald Trump And The Rock

Triple H has explained how Donald Trump became president.

The WWE Chief Content Officer recently appeared on the All-In podcast. He discussed things such as the company\’s recent business growth, how the internet has changed the wrestling world and more.

During the talk, The Game also gave his opinion on some political matters, including Donald Trump winning the 2024 US Presidential election against Kamala Harris. The former world champion claimed that while day-to-day issues are important in an election like that, it\’s ultimately the charisma of the candidate that ends up being a determining factor:

“I think if you go back through history, even in politics, and you look at the person that gets elected in every presidential cycle; it’s the most charismatic person on that stage that gets elected president.

The issues are important. The real-life day-to-day things that are important to people obviously are there, but at the end of the day, they’re picking who they like. They’re picking who connects with them. They’re picking who is charismatic to them.\”

The Rock Is The Same Way: Triple H

Donald Trump has a long history with both WWE and its previous owners, the McMahon family. The sitting President has gotten involved in storylines in the past, and some believe that his political style has very much been inspired by the colorful world of pro wrestling.

The WWE Executive seems to believe in this line of thought as Triple H explained how Donald Trump shares characteristics with top stars of the pro wrestling world, such as The Rock:

\”Donald Trump was very good in our world of WWE because he was okay to be himself. He was okay to sort of get egg on his face and be embarrassed sometimes. He was okay to put it all out there and just be him. But he’s charismatic.

He’s larger than life. He’s not afraid to say what’s in front of him, right or wrong. The Rock is the same way. That connection with people is really, to me, it is what drives the planet.”

Triple H\’s recent interest in politics is not a coincidence, as he\’s been missing more WWE shows than before and the backstage chatter suggests it has to do with his political ambitions. He even missed this past week\’s edition of Saturday Night\’s Main Event. You can check out more about it here.

  • Cody Rhodes Plans To End WWE Career With Next Contract

Cody Rhodes wants to end his career at the right time.

The American Nightmare was recently a guest on the All The Smoke podcast. Among other things, the face of WWE talked about the difficulty of having a good balance between his work and personal life while constantly being on the road.

The 40-year-old has two young daughters named Liberty and Leilani, with the latter being only a few weeks old. The Undisputed Champion explained that he tries to spend as much time with them as possible, taking inspiration from his own father, Dusty Rhodes. The former AEW star mentioned how the Late Legend had reduced his involvement in the business a lot when Cody was born, and so he was able to be around a lot more:

\”You get to a point where there is only so much, you can only go so long. I think I know my number where I\’d like to get with this. I was lucky that my dad, who I thought was the best dad ever, he was out of the game – he was in it as producer and in it as a creator,

[He\’d] pop in here as kind of an old man wrestler every now and then, but he was out of the game so he was number one dad. At every game, he coached our football team. He\’s known in Cobb County as Coach more than the American Dream. That\’s what he was.\”

Will Probably Be My Last: Cody Rhodes

The current champion discussed how taking care of your family has been made easier with the reduced WWE schedule, and a lot of people have adapted to traveling in private buses so they can bring their families along. Cody Rhodes noted that he tries to be at the breakfast table the next day, even when he does travel for SmackDown tapings without his family.

All this, however, still comes at a cost in an industry that has no off-season. This is why Rhodes does not plan to wrestle till the wheels fall off, and Cody believes that his next contract with WWE will probably be his last:

\”I\’d like to make it, by the time they hit that age, that I\’m not gone that often. Or I can\’t really walk around that much. And that\’s…we\’re getting closer. What I\’d say is probably my last contract with WWE, or the next contract I sign, [will] probably be my last, and finish my days with WWE.\”

The wrestling veteran likely signed a long-term deal when he returned to WWE in 2022, so his next contract and subsequent retirement are still some ways off. Though his commitment to his family does show how things have changed in the wrestling business over the last few decades, and for the good.

  • Logan Paul Forms New Alliance On Raw

A Logan Paul face turn lasted only 2 hours.

The opening segment of this week\’s Raw saw the new holder of the World Heavyweight title, CM Punk, vowing to be a fighting Champion and naming potential opponents. Despite not being on this list, however, it was Logan Paul who actually came out to confront the Straight Edge Star. Paul Heyman with “Big” Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker was next to make an entrance.

Breakker grabbed the mic and told both Punk and Logan to get out of his ring. The YouTube star actually tried to do so, but ended up getting shoved by the Vision member. The Vision proceeded to attack CM Punk. Then to everyone\’s surprise, Logan Paul actually came to the World Champion\’s aid. This distraction allowed Punk to grab a chair to fend off the heels and end the segment.

    Logan Paul Chooses A Side

This story continued in the main event of the show, where Punk teamed with Jey Uso to face Reed and Breakker. The match quickly turned into a brawl with the Vision caring more about hurting their opponents than the win.

CM Punk once again grabbed a steel chair after the two Brons took out Jey Uso. Instead of backing down again, the two heels grabbed chairs as well this time and came face to face with the World Champion,

Just as it looked like Punk was about to get mauled again, Logan Paul came out to stand with him. The former US Champion had the brass knuckles in his hands. After a long pause however, Paul ended up hitting Punk. Paul Heyman then got in the ring and the show ended with Logan handing the brass knuckles to the Wiseman.

The ending suggests that Logan has chosen his side in the expected WarGames match at Survivor Series at the end of this month. Now we\’ll have to see who joins Team Punk to even out the odds.

  • First Matches Announced For John Cena Last Time Is Now Tournament

The first matches have been confirmed for the Last Time Is Now tournament.

John Cena had announced a 16-man tournament during Saturday Night\’s Main Event this past week, to determine the person who will face him in his retirement match. We got some updates on the same during the latest episode of Raw.

One of Cena\’s former rivals, Rusev, was the first to announce himself for this competition. WWE later confirmed that the Bulgarian Brute will be facing the former World Champion Damian Priest in the first round of the tournament.

A second match involving two more of Cena\’s former opponents, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sheamus, was also announced.

The tournament will officially kick off on the November 10 episode of Raw next week, where John Cena will be making his final appearance in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

The 17-time world champion had teased that this competition would feature talents not only from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, but people from outside the company as well. This likely means we\’ll see some surprise entrants.

John Cena will be making his final PPV appearance as active wrestler at Survivor Series on November 29. His retirement match will take place at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • Former World Champion Makes Surprise Return On Raw

    Rey Mysterio is back!

Dominik Mysterio was featured on this week\’s episode of Raw from Rio Rancho Event Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, celebrating his successful Intercontinental Championship defense at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. The 28-year-old reiterated what he\’s been saying for a while, that he is the greatest IC champion as well as the greatest luchador of all time.

This remark is what prompted the return of Dom\’s father, who warned his son against disrespecting the Lucha Libre culture. The segment turned physical after the two exchanged some more words. Rey Mysterio was able to get the upper hand in the end, delivering a 619 to Dirty Dom and sending him packing.

This was the first time the former World Champion had gotten physical in the ring since before WrestleMania 41 in April. His last match came at the April 18 episode of SmackDown, right before the Show of Shows.

Rey had made appearances for AAA in the meantime after the WWE acquisition. He inducted Konnan in the AAA Hall of Fame during the TripleMania XXXIII event in August and was forced to present Dom with the AAA Mega title at Worlds Collide: Las Vegas in September.

Mysterio was scheduled for a match against El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 41 before his injury and we\’ll see if the company renews this rivalry now that the wrestling legend is back.

  • First Update On Will Ospreay Since Neck Surgery

    An update on Will Ospreay.

The AEW star was written off TV in August due to his neck issues, but there had been no update on his expected surgery since then.

We finally got the confirmation of his surgery from Saminder Singh of the Body Alignment Clinic in Rainham, Essex. Singh posted an X-ray of Ospreay\’s neck as well as several photos showing his recovery process on Instagram.

In the post made on Saturday, November 1, Saminder mentioned that Will underwent surgery 6 weeks ago. He noted that despite the time left in his recovery, the Aerial Assassin is doing well:

Will Ospreay last wrestled during the Forbidden Door PPV on August 24. He teamed with Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and the Golden Lovers to take on Death Riders, The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in a brutal lights-out steel cage match.

While Ospreay and his team won the bout, he was written off TV immediately afterward with a post-match attack from the Death Riders.

The former IWGP World Champion is not the only AEW main eventer taking time off from the company. Swerve Strickland, who challenged Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Unified Championship at Forbidden Door, has also stepped away from the promotion after the PPV to heal from a torn meniscus.

A return timetable has not been confirmed for either of these stars. Though considering the severity of their injuries, it\’s likely that they will be kept out of action at least for next few months.

  • Rusev Addresses Rumors of Refusing To Lose In AEW

Rusev has denied rumors about his time in AEW.

The Bulgarian Brute has been featured regularly since his return to WWE earlier this year. This is in sharp contrast to his time in the Tony Khan-owned promotion, where he would disappear from TV for months without an explanation.

The former US Champion addressed this difference during his recent interview with CBS Sports. He recalled putting a lot of effort into his match with Jey Uso during the company\’s Japan tour last month, explaining that it was a result of his experience at the rival promotion:

\”I had a period of time where I\’d have one match, not knowing when the next match is coming.\’ That\’s a very scary situation. Now we have this hot crowd in Japan. Let\’s freaking go! Let\’s give it 150%.\”

We Can\’t Do This Job Forever: Rusev

Rusev has wrestled a total of 25 matches since making his return to the Endeavor-owned promotion in February this year. This is more than double the number of bouts he had in AEW between 2022 and 2025, where he only competed in 11 matches in the time period before his departure.

Talking about this decline in matches compared to his early run in AEW, Rusev denied the reports that refusing to put over people was the reason for this treatment. He discussed how talent have a limited in-ring career:

\”In the past five years, I have had 20 or 30 matches. Back in the day, I had 30 matches in 30 days. The dead time sticks out the most. We only have this body and age for so long.

We can\’t do this job forever, so we must take advantage of it while we\’re young. I sat on the sidelines for so long, unable to do what I love, which is performing for people in professional wrestling.\”

Apart from this, Rusev talked about evolving his character after his 2020 release and how having his back against the wall became the catalyst for this change.

  • Jey Uso Breaks Silence After Saturday Night\’s Main Event Loss

Jey Uso has made his first post after Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

The former Bloodline member went up against CM Punk in a match for the World Heavyweight Championship vacated by Seth Rollins at tonight\’s show from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Looking to prove himself worthy of the main event spot, Uso put a lot of heart in this bout. Jey delivered multiple Spears through the match including one that sent Punk through the outside barricade but he still failed to put the Straight Edge star away.

In the end, it took two back-to-back GTS from the former AEW star to pin Jey Uso. The show ended with Punk celebrating his world title victory while Uso looked on from the sidelines.

    Jey Uso Reacts

The Yeet man broke his silence after this unfavourable SNME result with a story on his Instagram account. He posted a photo of the closing shot of the show and wrote \’Yall Win\’:

The Samoan Star has been showing a more serious side of himself in recent weeks and it\’s possible that this latest loss is the start of a heel turn for him.

Uso had also recently commented on how his relationship with cousin Roman Reigns has changed over the years and claimed that they are both equals now. You can check out his remarks here.

  • Son of John Cena\’s Forgotten Tag Team Partner Wants To Be His Final Opponent

People are already lining up to be part of John Cena\’s final opponent tournament.

The latest edition of WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event featured a video package where the Cenation Leader himself announced a 16 men tournament to determine his last opponent come December 13.

Cena said that he wants his final opponent to be whoever is ready to step up and seize the same kind of opportunity he was given during his WWE debut match against Kurt Angle back in 2002.

The 17-time world champion teased that the tournament, kicking off on November 10 from his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, will not only involve wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT but maybe also names that are not a part of WWE.

Fans have started speculating who will be part of this tournament and a couple of people have already thrown their names out. This includes former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry as well as NXT star Brooks Jensen:

Jensen actually has some hidden history with John Cena. His father, Bull Buchanan, was paired with the Hollywood star in the very early days of Cena\’s Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick in 2002.

The pairing only lasted a couple of months before John blamed Buchanan for a loss against Los Guerreros and replaced him with a debuting Redd Dogg. Bull was released from his WWE contract a few weeks later.

  • Watch: What Happened With CM Punk After SNME Went Off Air

CM Punk had an interesting celebration after Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

The show tonight from Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah featured a number of big matches. Both Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio retained their titles while Jade Cargill finally won the Women\’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton.

The last match of the night was CM Punk squaring off against Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship vacated by Seth Rollins due to his shoulder injury.

The former Bloodline member did everything he could to prove that he belonged in the spot. Uso even kicked out of a big GTS sequence before Punk was finally able to pin him to pick up the victory.

What Happened After Saturday Night\’s Main Event

The broadcast of the show ended with a disappointed Jey Uso looking on from the sidelines as The Straight Edge Star celebrated his win.

WWE later released a couple of videos showing Punk\’s celebration after Saturday Night\’s Main Event went off air. He can be seen meeting Post Malone at the ringside and with Cody Rhodes in the gorilla position:

Punk\’s celebration with Post Malone has some significance as his arch-rival Seth Rollins, actually had an exchange with the music star earlier this year. After the Architect mocked the Rapper during the Clash In Paris PPV, Malone had challenged Seth to a WrestleMania 42 match.

  • Chelsea Green Confirms Reports on WWE Status

Chelsea Green has provided a big update on her WWE status.

The former Women\’s US Champion recently had an interview with Gabby AF. She talked about things such as working with fellow Canadian Ethan Page, her wrestling journey, the growth of Maxxine Dupri, and more.

During the interview, Chelsea Green also talked about her current direction in the company. The WWE Diva explained that she is happy with her current position and confirmed that she recently signed a new deal with the promotion:

\”I have not stopped moving and bopping from brand to brand in three years. I just re-signed. I’m so happy here, and I’m okay to take a moment and fill my days and my weeks with media and traveling to represent WWE as more of the face.\”

Chelsea Green continued by mentioning how she is constantly booked for shows including not only SmackDown but NXT, and AAA as well. Even if her character does not have a clear direction at the moment, she is happy to know that the officials trust her to fill these spots.

The former Champion noted that she does have bigger goals. She would love to elevate herself to the level of Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley, and challenge for the top title, but she is also happy to be one of the busiest women on the roster.

While Green did not go into details of her new deal with the promotion, some recent reports revealed that she had been offered a long-term contract which Chelsea signed. You can check out more about it here.

  • Hologram Provides Big Update On Injury

AEW star Hologram has successfully undergone surgery.

The high-flying star had been teaming with Komander and later with members of the Conglomeration in recent months, while battling a doppelganger named El Clon.

The September 27 episode of Collision opened with another Clon warning. This time, however, it turned into a backstage segment where Kyle Fletcher was seen attacking the masked star.

Later in the broadcast, Tony Schiavone announced that Hologram had suffered a serious injury from this attack and that he would be away from the ring for some time.

This was done to write the AEW star off TV due to a legitimate knee injury, which was expected to keep him out of action for the foreseeable future.

Hologram himself then confirmed on X that the surgery was successful. He posted a video of his knee along with a message about rising up again after rehab:

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/11/\"https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/11/\"

The Mexican star was originally scheduled to challenge Fletcher for the TNT Championship at the October 2 episode of Dynamite but he was replaced by Orange Cassidy.

It\’s unknown how long the injury will keep him out of action but President Tony Khan had confirmed that he is expected to be on the shelf for the remainder of 2025.

  • Tag Team Quietly Disbands on SmackDown

Pretty Deadly have seemingly broken up.

WWE presented a special Halloween-themed episode of SmackDown from Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah this week. The show featured names such as Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre and Alexa Bliss.

One of the matches on the card saw one half of the Pretty Deadly tag team Kit Wilson, squaring off against Carmelo Hayes in singles competition. Wilson came out with a new theme song for this bout.

The Miz showed up at the ringside towards the ending, and he shoved Melo into the ring post when the referee was not looking. Wilson then went to the top and delivered a corkscrew diving elbow to his opponent, but still failed to get the pin.

After this sequence, Carmelo finally picked up a pinfall victory by delivering a Codebreaker to Wilson. Though he couldn\’t celebrate for long, as The Miz attacked him right after the bell. He hit the Skull-Crushing Finale on the former NXT star to end the segment.

Kit Wilson has not teamed with his partner Elton Prince since the May 2 episode of SmackDown this year, where they lost a match to Fraxiom. Prince seemed to have suffered an injury in this match and he hasn\’t been seen on TV since.

Wilson, on the other hand, had made a couple of appearances on the Blue Branded show since then. Getting a new theme song for tonight\’s match, however, appears to be the strongest indication that the duo have broken up and that we\’ll see Elton going his own way when he does return to TV.

  • Watch: Cody Rhodes Holds Special Birthday Celebration After SmackDown Goes Off Air

A lot happened after this week\’s SmackDown.

The go-home show for tomorrow\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event came live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. A number of stars were seen in themed costumes for this Halloween special episode of the show.

The main event was a contract signing segment between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes before their Undisputed WWE Championship match this weekend.

Cody ended up offering a unique stipulation for this match after Drew refused to sign the contract. The broadcast ended with McIntyre putting his opponent through a table and standing tall.

    What Happened After SmackDown

    https://youtu.be/h_yNcATaoSI

The Scottish Psychopath left the ring after the show went off the air, but the WWE Champion stayed. Rhodes cut a promo and brought in veteran WWE cameraman Stu to the ring for a special birthday celebration.

The former AEW star got the crowd to sign happy birthday to the longtime WWE employee. Rhodes then put the WWE title belt on Stu and even lifted him up on his shoulders to complete the celebration.

This wasn\’t the end of the night for the crowd in attendance, as they also got to witness a Trick or Treat Street Fight between LA Knight and Solo Sikoa as a dark match after SmackDown.

The ring was surrounded by various Halloween decorations for this match. Knight won the bout in the end after delivering a BFT on a pumpkin to Sikoa.

  • Unique Stipulation Added To Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre Match At SNME

An interesting stipulation has been added to the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

This week\’s episode of SmackDown featured a contract signing segment between the two stars. McIntyre, however, refused to sign the deal on account of the champion\’s advantage. This came after Cody got himself disqualified in their championship match a couple weeks ago.

In response, the Undisputed Champion offered a unique stipulation to his opponent for their match. Cody Rhodes announced that he would lose the title if he got counted out or disqualified on Saturday night.

The two stars then finally completed the contract signing and took more verbal shots at each other afterwards. The segment ended with Drew putting his opponent through the table and standing tall with the belt.

WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event Match Card

The latest edition of Saturday Night\’s Main Event will be held on November 1 from Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Only 4 matches have been announced for the show which you can check out below:

  • Ricky Saints Comments On Potential Cody Rhodes Match In WWE

Ricky Saints is open to a rematch with Cody Rhodes.

The two stars have been linked together since Saints made his AEW debut by answering the TNT title open challenge held by the American Nightmare in 2020. The duo have become good friends since then. Ricky even got himself in trouble by being spotted with Rhodes at the 2023 Royal Rumble event while still being signed to the Tony Khan-owned promotion.

The former FTW champion was asked about a potential rematch with his mentor under the WWE banner while appearing on Busted Open Radio. Ricky Saints first said that he could see it being a great match. When Bishop Dyer talked about the history between the two, the NXT star mentioned that the story is already there:

“There is so much to it. When you add a real-life friendship to things and you have evidence and history of how things have gone, the story is within itself. I’m sure with time we’ll get to that point. It’s always funny to hear that as one of people’s dream matches. I’m with it, 1000%, obviously,”

After being kept away from spotlight for almost a year at the end of his AEW tenure, Ricky Saints has managed to turn his career around since joining NXT in February this year. He had a run with the North American Championship in April and Ricky then defeated Oba Femi at No Mercy last month to win the NXT Championship.

  • Watch: Former WWE Star Wins Boxing Debut In Seconds

Gable Steveson seems to have found his calling.

The Olympic Gold Medalist made his boxing debut for Dirty Boxing Championship, a new promotion started by MMA veteran Mike Perry, on Friday night.

He went up against 31-year-old Billy Swanson in the main event of Dirty Boxing 4. Thanks to his powerful uppercuts, Steveson picked up an easy victory, knocking his opponent out in mere seconds:

Gable Steveson signed a WWE NIL contract with much fanfare following an appearance at the 2021 SummerSlam event. He became only the second Olympic Gold Medalist after Kurt Angle to be signed by the promotion.

He was assigned to the Raw brand in the 2021 Draft but never wrestled on the show. After making some sporadic TV appearances, Steveson was quietly moved to the NXT brand.

The 25-year-old would finally make his in-ring debut during the 2023 NXT Great American Bash event. His match with Baron Corbin, however, ended in no-contest. This proved to be his only televised match as Gable was quietly released from his contract in May last year.

Though the young star seems to have found his rhythm in the combat sports world since the WWE departure. He won his MMA debut against Braden Peterson at LFA 217 last month, defeating his opponent in less than 2 minutes. Now this dominating boxing victory suggests that Steveson has a long career ahead.

  • Chris Jericho Reunites With Former WWE Best Friend Amid Return Rumors (Photo)

Chris Jericho reunited with his best friend at an interesting time.

The former AEW Champion attended tonight\’s Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Dallas Stars ice hockey game from the Benchmark International arena in Tampa, Florida.

Though Jericho was not alone in this outing, and he was joined by none other than his former tag team partner and fellow Canadian Kevin Owens as seen in the Instagram photo he posted below:

Chris Jericho teamed with Kevin Owens during his List of Jericho era back in 2016-17. Their story eventually led to a match between the two at WrestleMania 33, which many still believe should have been the main event of the PPV that year.

The timing of this photo is notable, as Chris has taken a break from AEW TV in recent months. Despite no news of any injury, the former champion has not wrestled a match for the promotion since the Dynasty PPV back in April this year.

Coupled with the reports of his current deal with the company expiring at the end of the year and interest from WWE, this situation has led to fans speculating widely about Jericho\’s wrestling future.

People believe that Y2J has done everything he could in Tony Khan\’s promotion, and he is well-suited for a CM Punk-like return to WWE for one final run.

Whether or not it actually happens will be revealed in time, but it\’s certain that the former WWE star is well aware of these talks, and he knew the effect this latest photo will have on the discourse about his future.

  • JBL Recalls Vince McMahon Firing Wrestler For Using Word He Hated

Vince McMahon seemingly fired a star for saying the word prick.

During the latest episode of Something to Wrestle With podcast, JBL talked about things such as what would have happened if Bret Hart never left WWE for WCW, Vince Russo’s involvement with JCW and more.

The WWE Hall of Famer also talked about the strange habits of Vince McMahon, including his dislike for the word prick. JBL told a story to emphasize how much the former WWE owner hated the word, noting that he was once very high on Brad Maddox:

\”Vince told me one day, he goes, ‘That kid’s special.’ That’s the only time I ever heard him say that, you know. Now, he said nicer things about people, but I remember the way he said it — he thought, like, ‘that kid’s got it,’ you know. And man, you don’t hear that from Vince very much. Vince really liked Maddox.\”

    Vince Hated That Word: JBL

Maddox first came into the spotlight when he refereed the match between CM Punk and Ryback at Hell In A Cell PPV in 2012. After helping Punk retain the WWE title against the Monster-Sized Athlete, he became a character on WWE TV and later wrestled matches against the likes of Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Great Khali. He was abruptly released from the company in November 2015.

According to JBL, the reason behind Brad Maddox\’s release was an unaired promo where he referred to the WWE audience as pricks:

\”Then when he went out there — I’m sitting there waiting, it was like a pre-show, and I’m sitting there waiting to go out with Michael Cole — and that’s when Maddox called the fans a bunch of pricks or something. He comes back and Vince fired him. Vince hated that word. He thought that was a classless word.\”

JBL later mentioned that he also got in trouble with McMahon once for saying the word during a promo. The former WWE Chairman pulled him aside and told him not to use it on TV again.

  • Wes Lee Announced For First Post-WWE Booking Alongside Big Names

Wes Lee is ready to step back into the ring.

The former NXT North American Champion was surprisingly released from his WWE contract alongside names such as Evolve General Manager Stevie Turner and Lance Anoa’i earlier this month.

Being on a development deal meant that the former NXT Champion could take bookings in just 30 days instead of having to sit through the 90-day non-compete clause that is standard for main roster stars.

The wrestling star, now going by the name Dezmond Xavier, reminded everyone of this fact on X. In his latest post, Xavier revealed that he is now being represented by the Paragon talent agency and that he will become a free agent on November 11.

Dezmond Xavier Gets First Post WWE Booking

It didn\’t take long for the former WWE star to get his first booking following this post as HOG announced that the high-flying star will be joining the lineup for their November 15 Superclash event:

The Superclash event will feature a number of other big names as well. The list of talent confirmed for the show includes AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, Killer Kross, Nic Nemeth, Shotzi and more.

Wes Lee had been with WWE since 2020 before his sudden release this month. He was a featured performer in NXT during his stint. Apart from the NA title run, he also won the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Nash Carter and the duo had multiple runs with the NXT tag titles too.

The Mexican star last wrestled during the All In Texas PPV back in July this year. She was part of the #1 Contender Casino Gauntlet match for the Women\’s title, which was won by Athena.

  • The Undertaker Reveals The One Match He\’s Most Fond Of

The Undertaker has explained what made Shawn Michaels so great.

The Dead Man recently had an interview with Comedian Tom Segura. They talked about things such as the origin of WrestleMania, the birth of The Dead Man character, injuries in his career and more.

The former World Champion was asked to name one match he is fond of above all others in his illustrious career. The Undertaker picked his WrestleMania 25 match with HBK, saying that it was as close to perfect as he ever got:

\”So the match I\’m probably [most fond of] as far as a wrestling purist kind of matches, would have to be WrestleMania 25, Shawn Michaels. That was as close to perfect that I ever got, right?

It was just one of those things when you\’re in the moment. And obviously, Shawn is probably one of the greatest, if not the greatest in-ring talent ever.\”

He Was Ahead of His Time: The Undertaker

When asked what made Michaels such a great talent, The Last Outlaw explained that not only did Shawn had all the qualities required in a great wrestler but he was also a believable fighter:

\”He just was an exceptional talent. He loved the business. He was a phenomenal athlete. He had this incredible personality. He just, he had it all. He was good on the mic. His character was good.

And for a smaller guy…for me, in a wrestling match, it always broke down, like you can do all the wrestling and everything, it always, at some point, breaks down to where it\’s just dukes, right? It\’s just a fight. And not everybody had that.

They didn\’t have that edge. He did. He was ahead of his time with his inward ability. But when it came down to the, even if it came down to just the fight, he was believable. He\’s recognized as one of the greats, but I don\’t think people really understand how good he was.\”

  • Latest On Private Party\’s Mysterious AEW Absence

Private Party remain in AEW, at least for now.

The tag team of Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy has not been seen on the company\’s programming since January this year. They dropped the AEW tag titles to The Hurt Syndicate in their last bout for the promotion.

The tag team wrestled one match for HOG a couple of months later and have been out of action ever since, leaving people curious about their status.

There was some talk about them when it was reported in the Summer that the duo\’s contract was up soon and that WWE had interest in bringing them on board, but there has been no movement in this direction since.

Fight Select provided a small update on the matter recently. They noted that despite previous reports, both Quen and Kassidy remain under contract as of this writing. Though it could change anytime.

One interesting possibility per the site is that the deal of the two stars could expire at different times, meaning that we can see them leaving the company seperately or one of could leave the promotion while the other stays.

With no solid update on their status beyond this, it\’s hard to say when or where we\’ll see Private Party wrestling again. Though fans are hopeful that it will not be much longer before the young stars return to TV.
