Vince McMahon And Triple H To Testify In Upcoming WWE Trial

Vince McMahon, Triple H, and several other TKO executives are set to testify in a shareholder trial beginning June 8 in Delaware. The case centers on claims that the WWE-UFC merger was predetermined to keep McMahon in power rather than maximize shareholder value.

According to Post Wrestling’s Brandon Thurston, the witness list includes McMahon, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque (Triple H), Ari Emanuel, and Mark Shapiro. The shareholders filing the lawsuit argue the merger process was designed to benefit McMahon at the expense of getting full value for WWE.

    Former WWE Executives Among Witnesses

Other notable witnesses include former WWE executives and Board members George Barrios, Michelle Wilson, and Frank Riddick. Former WWE Board member Steve Koonin, banker Jeff Sine who advised WWE on the deal, TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer, and TKO chief strategy officer Mark Zhu are also scheduled to testify.

Some witnesses will appear live while others may appear via video or pre-recorded deposition testimony. Stephanie McMahon, Jeffrey Speed, and Steve Pamon are among those expected to provide pre-recorded depositions.

Liberty Media CEO On Witness List

Liberty Media CEO Marty Patterson is also listed as a witness, as the company was among those bidding for WWE during the sale process. McMahon remained in power through the merger until January 2024, when he resigned following the Janel Grant lawsuit.

The trial could still be settled before it begins or even after proceedings start. The shareholders claim they did not receive the full potential value of a WWE sale due to the predetermined nature of the merger process.

  • A New nWo Almost Happened In WWE

A New nWo Almost Happened In WWE

    A new nWo?

The COVID era was unprecedented times for the pro wrestling industry, with companies having to come up with new ways to keep things going. This included allowing storyline ideas that would be considered absurd in normal times.

During a recent interview with Public Enemies Podcast, former WWE writer Chris Dunn revealed one such crazy idea that almost came to fruition. According to the former WWE employee, they had actually come really close to introducing a new version of nWo featuring names such as Sheamus and Shinsuke Nakamura:

“Do you guys remember the Thunderdome? It was really tough to do TV in there, so a lot of ideas were thrown against the wall. So, it was discussed at one point bringing back the nWo in 2020 again. A new version. So, the pitch was Sheamus, Cesaro, Nakamura, and Lars Sullivan. We were really close to it happening.”

    COVID Stopped The New nWo

Dunn claimed that Vince McMahon was high on Sullivan and the former WWE chairman was always trying to get him on TV. The whole idea was nixed, however, when the legend who was supposed to get the faction started, tested positive for COVID themselves:

“I forget which legendary nWo member was supposed to fly to Orlando to introduce this new nWo. It wasn’t X-Pac. But essentially, they landed and didn’t pass the COVID test.”

WWE and WCW veteran Kevin Nash did share his doubts on the story later on. Reacting to it on X, the nWo founder said that he never heard anything of the sort:

“Never heard anything about it. Scott [Hall] and @TheRealXPac and myself were out almost every weekend together. So it definitely wasn’t one of us.”

Do you think a new nWo would have succeeded in WWE? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Ludwig Kaiser ICE Story Believed To Be A Plant (Report)

Ludwig Kaiser ICE Story Believed To Be A Plant (Report)

Ludwig Kaiser does not have any heat in WWE.

The story of the WWE star’s arrest on battery charges has taken many turns since the news first broke earlier this month. One of the major points of discussion has been the claim that Kaiser ended up in the altercation because the accuser had threatened to call ICE on him and his girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte.

Fightful Select recently provided an update on the whole situation. The site claimed that many in WWE believe the account of Ludwig Kaiser defending himself and Bazarte is a planted story:

“Fightful Select has spoken to a number of sources within the company that believe the story about him defending himself and Andrea Bazarte from ICE comments was planted within WWE. There was an unfamiliar number that reached out to several members of the wrestling media with the story, as opposed to Kaiser or Andrea themselves, or a member of WWE’s team.”

Many talents in the company were in disbelief of the narrative of defence being put out there. They believe that Kaiser should have just removed himself from the situation.

Though overall the former Imperium star does not have any heat within the company and people in WWE expect that the charges against him will eventually be dismissed.

Kaiser was able to return to Mexico for his serenade after the Judge granted his request for international travel, and the promotion is not expecting him to miss his Mask vs. Mask match with the Original El Grande Americano this weekend.

  • Dominik Mysterio Frustrated With WWE ‘Holding Him’ Back

Dominik Mysterio Frustrated With WWE ‘Holding Him’ Back

    Dominik Mysterio is speaking up.

The young wrestling veteran is one of the hottest WWE superstars on the roster currently. Despite his sustained popularity, however, the company seems to be having trouble finding prominent storylines for him. Since Survivor Series last November, Dirty Dom has made only one PLE appearance, where he lost to Finn Balor at WrestleMania 42.

During a recent interview with Esse Magazine, the AAA Mega Champion was asked about his rivalry with Finn Balor and why a match featuring him has not been announced for the Clash In Italy PPV this weekend. While Dominik Mysterio remained professional, his answer did show some disappointment with the way the company has handled him recently:

“I don’t think they know what to do with me. I’m too cool. They have lightning in a bottle, and they have no idea what to do with it, so they’re just letting it sit. I’m like you, I’m just waiting,”

    They’re Holding Me: Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio received one of the biggest pops when he won the IC title at WrestleMania 41. People expected him to move up the card and challenge for the World title after that but it hasn’t been the case. With MJF winning his third world title in AEW this past weekend, the contrast between the handling of the two young names has come into sharper focus.

When the interviewer mentioned that the former champion is part of multiple storylines at the moment, Mysterio reiterated his frustrations, suggesting that the company is holding him back:

“I could have all the storylines, but like I said, they don’t know what to do with me. I’m too good. Lightning in a bottle. They’re holding me.”

The WWE star was then asked what the company was waiting for, and Dominik first listed his accolades. He said that he doesn’t know what the officials are waiting for, mentioning that the promotion has got ‘all these old fossils’ in their working instead of the young star.  Though Dom did end his remarks saying that he is a patient man, and he can wait for his opportunity.

  • Carlito Reveals His Retirement Plans

    Carlito Reveals His Retirement Plans

Carlito has started planning his wrestling retirement.

The former WWE star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. He talked about things such as sharing the ring with Hulk Hogan, getting the spit or swallow T-shirt approved, and more.

During the talk, the 47-year-old was also asked if he has gotten to the point in his career where he has started thinking about his retirement. Carlito noted that he still has a little gas left in the tank, but admitted that he has started thinking about his exit plan:

“Oh yeah, I’m getting there. I still got a little bit left in the tank. Not that I don’t want to do it anymore, just focusing more on the exit plan.”

WWE Run Helped A Lot: Carlito

When asked what the exit plan looks like, Carlito said that it looks pretty good. He noted that his recent WWE run helped set up his retirement:

“It looks pretty good, man. The WWE run helped out a lot with that, with the retirement plan. So, yeah, a couple more years, and then I can ride off into the sunset.”

Apart from this, the former US Champion talked in detail about his abrupt WWE exit last year. Carlito claimed he was not surprised by his release, but revealed the one regret he still has. You can check out his comments here.

  • Carlito Reveals One Regret About Latest WWE Run

Carlito Reveals One Regret About Latest WWE Run

Carlito has revealed his one regret.

The former US Champion talked about the abrupt end to his second WWE run during his new interview with Chris Van Vliet. The wrestling star had been a part of the Judgment Day faction when he left the company in June 2025. Though he claimed that he was not surprised by his release because his contract had expired.

During the interview, he also revealed his one regret about the way things ended. The 47-year-old, who was taken off TV without any explanation, noted that he still had some time left on his deal. Carlito wished that the company had written him off with some kind of angle instead:

“I still had two weeks left. I just wish they would have written me off somehow. That’s my only, that’s the only thing that I didn’t like. I’m a professional bro, not being in WWE is not the end of the world. So I was like, gladly come in, and you didn’t want my services, just write me off.”

Kind of Up To Us: Carlito

Carlito was later asked what the plan was for his storyline with Raquel Rodriguez. The former Champion revealed that they didn’t actually have a plan, and it was one of the many stories that was pitched one week but never brought up again. The two kept things going on their own in hopes of getting a resolution:

“Another thing, just like I was not the main focus of the Judgment Day. They were always Dom and Liv, so it’s these ideas they threw apart. But then there would be no follow-up. So Raquel and I would do little things to keep it going. So it’s kind of up to us. That was another thing, because it was another thing I could work off.

Because going back to what I said, it’s probably this guy that doesn’t get the girl, so this was kind of the way I could be goofed by he to make it more comedic. So that was, yeah, those are just little things that we would do. But the origin that they said one week, and then after that, they didn’t bring it up anymore.”

Apart from this, Carlito discussed his viral spear spot with Bron Breakker, his retirement plans and more. You can check out his full interview below:

  • Carlito Explains Abrupt End To Judgment Day Run

Carlito Explains Abrupt End To Judgment Day Run

Carlito has explained the end of his second WWE run.

The former WWE star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. He talked about things such as his viral spear spot with Bron Breakker, the evolution of Dominik Mysterio, how long he will continue wrestling and more.

During the talk, Carlito was asked if he was surprised by his WWE release. The former US Champion replied negatively, explaining that he left because his contract expired. When asked why the company did not renew his deal, the wrestling veteran said that neither he nor the promotion initiated the talks for it:

“They could have renewed it, but I never went to them. They never came to me. So we never spoke or anything. I just was ready for whatever. I kind of shot myself in the foot because I signed the shorter deal and the usual. So I guess I bet against myself.”

    I Bet Against Myself: Carlito

After making multiple one-off appearances, including at 2021 Royal Rumble and 2023 Backlash, Carlito signed a new deal with the company. Initially being paired with LWO, the Puerto Rican star later turned heel and joined the Judgment Day. His run came to an abrupt end two years later, however, in June 2025.

Explaining the abnormal length of his deal, the 47-year-old revealed that the company had actually offered him a three-year contract. Fearing that he would get lost in the shuffle, he chose to sign only for two years:

“I signed for two years. They wanted me for three, and I signed for two because I didn’t think it was gonna go as good as it did. So, as I said, I bet against myself, and I would have got an extra year, and then my contract would expire. But ended up losing a year. But that’s all right.”

Carlito has returned to the independent circuit after his release, wrestling for various indie promotions in Puerto Rico and other US states.

  • Raw Star Makes First Appearance Since WrestleMania 42

Raw Star Makes First Appearance Since WrestleMania 42

    Dragon Lee is back.

Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured Rey Mysterio taking on Rusev in a IC Title #1 Contender match. This match was made by General Manager Adam Pearce after Ethan Page objected to the WWE Hall of Famer getting a title shot without having to earn it.

Page sat ringside for this encounter. The ending of the bout saw Rusev catching the high-flying star mid-way through 619 and going for the Accolade. Before the submission could be locked properly, however, Mysterio rolled the former AEW star up for a successful pin.

The Bulgarian Brute attacked the new #1 Contender after the bell, prompting the return of Dragon Lee. Ethan Page tried to ruin the moment, but Lee took him out too, and then set Rusev up for a 619. The segment finally ended with Dragon Lee taking out Page with a dive outside the ring, while Rey connected the 619 on Rusev:

Dragon Lee last wrestled during Night 2 of WrestleMania 42, taking part in the IC title ladder match where Penta retained the belt. He had been off TV since then. There is no word on when Rey will be getting his title shot but it’s unlikely to be added to the Clash In Italy PPV this Sunday.

  • New #1 Contender For IC Title Confirmed

New #1 Contender For IC Title Confirmed

Rey Mysterio is headed for an Intercontinental Championship match after defeating Rusev on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw. The victory makes Mysterio the number one contender for Penta’s title.

The match came together earlier in the night when Mysterio spoke with reigning Intercontinental Champion Penta, who told the WWE Hall of Famer it would be an honor to face him. Ethan Page and Rusev took exception to Mysterio jumping the line for a title opportunity.

Penta had already defeated Ethan Page to retain the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event. So General Manager Adam Pearce refused to give him a rematch without earning it, and he instead made the Mysterio vs. Rusev bout official.

Page was still at the ringside for this encounter. In the end, Mysterio was able to defeat the Bularian Brute to become the new #1 Contender. Borh Rusev and Ethan Page tried to attack the wrestling veteran after the bell, but a returning Dragon Lee made the save:

No timeline has been specified for when he will challenge Penta for the championship. WWE has already announced 5 matches for the Clash In Italy PPV this Sunday so it’s unlikely that the IC title match will be added to the show.

Tony Khan Gives Cheeky Response To Potential WrestleMania Week US Show in 2027

Tony Khan’s AEW could be filling the WrestleMania void.

WWE has announced that WrestleMania will be emanating from Saudi Arabia in 2027, marking it the first time the Show of Shows will be taking place outside of North America. With WWE’s regular counterprogramming of AEW PPVs, many people have been wondering if the rival promotion will respond with a show of its own to fill the WrestleMania void in the States next year.

The AEW President was asked the question to this effect during the Double or Nothing Media scrum. When the reporter mentioned that there will be no domestic wrestling weekend in America next April, Tony Khan interjected with a simple ‘yet.’ Though when asked directly about potentially running a show at the same time, Khan said that we will have to see what happens in the world between now and then:

“I think it is potentially viable, And it’s a very interesting thought. We’ll have to see what happens in the world landscape between now and then, but it’s a very interesting possibility.”

WWE has promised to bring WrestleMania to both Indianapolis, Indiana, and New Orleans, Louisiana in the future as well. If the ongoing Iran war forces the company to postpone the announced Saudi Mania, then it’s possible that the company will hold the show at either of the two US cities instead.

Tony Khan Comments On Rebel’s Terminal ALS Diagnosis

Tony Khan is sending his best wishes to Rebel.

The AEW star had revealed a terminal ALS diagnosis earlier this month. The female star shared an emotional social media post, describing how her two-year journey to determine the cause of her health issues had revealed the unfortunate news. The wrestling promotion had then acknowledged the news on-air with commentator Tony Schiavone paying tribute to the wrestling star during an episode of Collision.

The AEW President was also asked about Rebel’s condition during the Double or Nothing media scrum. Tony Khan noted that Rebel is always going to be a part of AEW:

“First of all, I wanna send best wishes to Rebel. Rebel’s been with us since the beginning. She’s not here on the road with us now but Rebel’s still always gonna be a big part of AEW and we’re thinking about her. I really appreciate you asking about it and we’re keeping Rebel in our thoughts but also, there are things you can do to support her.”

You Don’t Have To Wait: Tony Khan

Tony Khan then revealed that former NFL player Steve Gleason, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2011 reached out to him just on Sunday. The wrestling executive revealed that Gleason reached out on behalf of the ALS foundation and said that it will give them a good chance to collaborate:

“I’m thinking that it would be great to work with Steve Gleason and the ALS Foundation to put together Fight for the Fallen, and have Fight for the Fallen to benefit ALS and people dealing with ALS and the treatment and I think that would be something we could all do that would be a positive way to support.

In the meantime, yes, there are ways the fans can support it which is giving to ALS research and supporting the charity now. You don’t have to wait for Fight for the Fallen, and that’ll be a great opportunity also for people to give to support ALS research and treatment.”

Tonight’s Double or Nothing PPV was main-evented by the AEW World Championship match between MJF and Darby Allin. Maxwell had to put his hair on the line to get the rematch. Having defended the title more than half a dozen times during his short reign, Darby Allin was pretty beat up entering the match.

The exhaustion finally caught up with the champ at the end of the bout as he passed out while trying to lock the challenger in the Scorpion Deathlock. MJF was then able to take advantage of the situation and pick up the victory.

    Kevin Knight Turns Heel

Kevin Knight showed up after the bell to stop the new champion from hurting the defeated star. As MJF retreated to the stage, however, Knight himself delivered a UFO splash to Darby who had been secured on a stretcher.

Fans have noted that this heel turn was already predicted earlier this week as the TNT Champion had warned Darby not to let people down in a promo on Collision:

It’s unknown if Darby Allin will be taking any time off after his loss. Knight’s tag team partner Mike Bailey, has not reacted to his turn and we will have to see if the partnership between the two continues after tonight.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently had an interview with Sportshadow Wrestling. He talked about things such as The Rock’s rise in Hollywood, thoughts on the popularity of Danhausen and more.

During the talk, the former Nation of Domination Star also noted how he has been under a WWE legends deal since its introduction back in 2003. The Godfather revealed that he actually extended this run recently, signing a new 5-year contract with the company:

“They started that in 2003. That’s when I finished up. I had been on it continuously since 2003. That’s what 23 years I’ve been on it, and they just signed another five-year deal. They just came out with an action figure, some pants. They’ve been so cool with me. But my characters, even though they were short-lived, people remember them.”

Elsewhere in the interview, The Godfather was asked if he could share any bizarre Vince McMahon stories. The WWE veteran noted that the former chairman has done so many wild things that his own crazy stories don’t even make the list.

The 65-year-old later said that he made more money on his WWE deal when McMahon was in charge. He claimed that his royalty checks have gone ‘way down’ since Vince left the company.

    Wardlow could be returning soon.

The former TNT Champion has not been seen on AEW programming since the 2025 Forbidden Door PPV. He had made his return at the show after a lengthy absence, only to be put on the shelf again with a torn pec.

Overall, the heavyweight star has not wrestled a match for over two years now. His last in-ring encounter was a bout against Samoa Joe at a March 2024 episode of Dynamite.

Wardlow Return At Double or Nothing?

Now Fightful Select is reporting that Wardlow is in New York before the Double or Nothing PPV set for May 24th at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens.

The 38-year-old was also backstage at the Revolution PPV in March, but he had not been cleared for return to action at the time. He has been at several shows since then, working towards getting cleared for his in-ring return.

In an interview in April, the Ohio native had claimed that he was ‘very close to being ready,’ which makes a Double or Nothing return a lot more feasible.

The AEW star took part in the American Gladiator reboot during his absence from wrestling. The first season of the show hosted by WWE’s The Miz is now airing on Amazon Prime.

Watch: Ludwig Kaiser Receives Grand Welcome In Mexico After Arrest

    Ludwig Kaiser has returned.

AAA had originally cancelled the Serenata for El Grande Americano event scheduled for Thursday night after the WWE star was arrested on May 20. He had been in Mexico when Kaiser learned of the arrest warrant issued in his name, and he returned to the US. He was released on a $1,000 bond not long after his arrest.

The WWE star had entered a not-guilty plea and filed a motion to allow international travel. The motion seems to have been granted as Ludwig, under the El Grande Americano persona, took part in the serenade that was held in Mexico City on Friday after the initial cancellation.

As seen in the videos coming out of the event, Americano received a huge ovation from the crowd, and he seemed genuinely moved by the support of the people after his recent troubles:

There are multiple accounts going around about the incident in Orlando that led to Ludwig Kaiser’s arrest. The alleged victim Richard Reap, is claiming that the wrestling star attacked him in a hotel after being advised to act decently in public. Another story being shared, however, states that Reap threatened to call ICE on the former Imperium star, leading to a scuffle.

In any case, Kaiser’s return to Mexico is a good sign for the AAA star. It indicates that his upcoming Mask vs. Mask match with the Original El Grande Americano, scheduled for the May 30, AAA Noche de Los Grandes event, will go ahead as planned.

Furthermore, the company claimed that Warner was being removed from the event due to a request from AEW.

The AEW President responded to this claim on X, noting that he had put no restrictions on Warner’s appearance. Tony Khan said that this was the first he was hearing of the matter:

“That’s the first that I’ve heard of this, and it’s the first time anyone in AEW’s office has heard of it. He is welcome to do your show.”

    Mance Warner Explains

Mance Warner further clarified things with a tweet of his own. He claimed that he pulled out of the show to avoid ruining ‘a big opportunity’ and that he had already sent the promoter the money paid for the flight:

“I am sorry to any fans who were looking forward to seeing me at AAW. With transparency, I made a decision to withdraw from the show to avoid any % chance of travel issues or any fuck ups ruining a big opportunity. I hope y’all can understand.”

The 37-year-old and his wife, Steph De Lander, departed TNA in March this year over a dispute about De Lander’s medical status. There is no word on what big opportunity Warner was referring to, but AEW is set to hold the Double or Nothing PPV this Sunday.

  • Watch: Blake Monroe Gets Bizarre SmackDown Debut

Watch: Blake Monroe Gets Bizarre SmackDown Debut

Blake Monroe has arrived on SmackDown.

WWE has called up a number of NXT stars over the last few months. Just in the few weeks since WrestleMania 42, we have seen names such as Ricky Saints, Jacy Jayne, Ethan Page, and Sol Ruca officially making the move to the main roster.

The company had also been teasing the arrival of the former AEW Women’s Champion with video packages over the last few weeks, but Blake’s on-screen debut turned out to be just as bizarre as her last few months in NXT.

    Blake Monroe Gets 20-Second Debut

The May 22 episode of the Blue Branded show featured Tiffany Stratton defending the Women’s US Title against Lash Legend. Stratton managed to retain the belt after some interference from Chelsea Green.

The former Mariah May then ran into Green in a backstage segment. Chelsea tried to welcome the WWE rookie with a handshake. Blake Monroe, however, gently refused the handshake and walked off, getting less than 20 seconds to make her first impression:

Fans had been upset with Monroe’s booking in NXT over the last few months, believing that the former AEW star deserved to be featured more prominently than she was. Now we will have to see how the English star fares on the main roster after her official debut.

The two women will be sharing the ring tomorrow night as well when Rhea Ripley teams with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to take on Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

  • AAA Event Cancelled After Ludwig Kaiser’s Arrest

AAA Event Cancelled After Ludwig Kaiser’s Arrest

    WWE has cancelled an event.

El Grande Americano, aka Ludwig Kaiser, was scheduled to be honored with a special serenade at the Kings League in Mexico City this week. The event organized by Kings League México in collaboration with AAA was scheduled to be held on Thursday.

The official AAA Lucha Libre account on Instagram, however, confirmed via a story earlier in the day that the event has been cancelled:

“The ‘Serenata for El Grande Americano’ event scheduled for tonight in Mexico City has been canceled. We appreciate your understanding.”

Real name Marcel Barthel, Kaiser was arrested on May 20 in Orange County, Florida. The arrest stems from an alleged altercation at the Paramount on Lake Eola Hotel in Orlando on April 23. Ludwig has since been released after posting the $1,000 bond.

Richard Reap, who filed the complaint alleges that he entered an elevator with Kaiser and an unknown female at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET. The couple were acting ‘uncontrollably intimate,’ so Reap told them to ‘please have some manners.’ Per Reap, this led to the WWE superstar assaulting him and shoving him to the ground.

Kaiser, as El Grande Americano, is set for a big match at the May 30, AAA Noche de Los Grandes event. He has been booked to face the Original El Grande Americano in a mask vs. mask match. Neither WWE nor Ludwig has commented on the arrest yet, and there is no word on if it will affect the upcoming bout in any way.
