Main Roster Star Wins #1 Contender Match In Surprise NXT Return

Johnny Gargano is back in NXT.

Tonight’s episode of the development brand featured a gauntlet elimination match to determine the next challenger for the North American Championship.

Shiloh Hill and Jackson Drake started the bout, with Dion Lennox, and Charlie Dempsey entering at #3 and #4, respectively. The final contestant had been kept a mystery, and Candice LeRae showed up in the arena as the countdown neared its end.

The former Women’s Speed Champion mentioned that she has tried everything to revitalize her husband, except bringing him back to the place where he built his name. Johnny Gargano, still in the funk, then entered the match as the final contestant.

The former NXT champion immediately ate a kick from Drake which left him out cold on the apron for the rest of the bout. Shiloh Hill got the first elimination as the match continued. He took out Dion Lennox with a neckbreaker for the pin.

Hill then got two more eliminations as he took out both Jackson Drake and Charlie Dempsey with the back suplex neckbreaker one by one. Birthright showed up after Dempsey’s elimination and beat Shiloh up before throwing him back into the ring.

Candice LeRae did not waste the opportunity, and she threw her husband onto Shiloh Hill for the pin. The victory earns the former NXT Champion a shot at Myles Borne on the upcoming Stand & Deliver event on April 4.

  • Update On Ronda Rousey After Revolution Appearance

Update On Ronda Rousey After Revolution Appearance

Ronda Rousey’s AEW future is in limbo.

The former UFC Champion made a surprise appearance at the Revolution PPV last Sunday and teased a future match with Toni Storm. With the former AEW Women’s Champion having been written off TV on the following Dynamite, however, fans have been left questioning what will happen to this story.

Fightful Select provided an update on the matter recently. They suggested that Ronda Rousey is not signed to the company, and there is no confirmation of any additional appearances for her:

“When we asked AEW sources about Ronda Rousey’s status, nobody told us she was signed by the company. AEW hasn’t confirmed if she’s planned for additional appearances, but we’re told they’re open to it. A lot creatively changed for the immediate future with Toni Storm’s injury.”

The site also noted that the company does not have creative plans in place for Toni Storm’s return anytime soon, and her absence is believed to be for an indefinite amount of time.

With Storm out of the picture for the foreseeable future, it seems unlikely that the UFC legend will return to the company anytime soon. Though we are likely to get a better idea about Rousey’s wrestling future after her upcoming fight with Gina Carano in May.

  • Seth Rollins Arrested on Raw

    Seth Rollins Arrested on Raw

    Seth Rollins has been arrested.

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured Paul Heyman in a promo segment. Both Logan Paul and Austin Theory were taken out earlier in the night in their tag match against The Usos, and Oba Femi once again got the better of Brock Lesnar on the show.

So Heyman came out all alone, seemingly without any backup, and called out Seth Rollins. He dubbed The Architect a stalker and said that the former World Champion should come out to put him out of his misery.

When Rollins did show up at ringside, however, Heyman revealed that he got a restraining order against the former Vision leader, and cops then appeared to arrest Seth.

Paul Heyman continued his promo in the ring as the cops started leading the former Shield member away, but things took a turn when Heyman brought up Seth’s family into the conversation.

Seth Rollins then ran back into the ring and clocked the advocate out with a right hook before the cops got things under control again to end the segment.

The company has not announced the Visionary for a match at WrestleMania yet as they are hopeful about a Bron Breakker return. You can check out the latest update on the former NXT Champion here.

New Title Match Made Official For WrestleMania 42

AJ Lee is set for WrestleMania.

Last week’s episode of Raw saw Becky Lynch making her return to the show to attack the reigning Intercontinental Champion after she successfully defended her title against Bayley.

This week’s episode of the Red Branded show then saw Lynch calling out the WWE veteran. She talked about making the IC title the most important title in the company and revealed that her daughter has been singing Lee’s stupid theme song.

AJ then entered the picture, but Becky got out of the ring as the IC champion rushed into the squared circle. The WWE veteran then said that she has walked Becky like a dog every time they have met in the ring.

The champ said that she will give Lynch what she wants to end their feud, which is a title rematch at WrestleMania 42.

This is the third women’s match officially announced for the Show of Shows after Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan and Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley. WWE has yet to reveal the match order for the two nights of the PLE. Stay tuned for more updates on the WrestleMania card.

  • John Morrison Reveals Origin of His Unique WWE Entrance

John Morrison Reveals Origin of His Unique WWE Entrance

John Morrison has revealed who came up with his unique entrance.

The 46-year-old got an opportunity with WWE not long after deciding to pursue pro wrestling. Starting as a contestant on Tough Enough III in 2002, he went on to have a memorable run with the promotion, first as part of the MNM tag team and then in singles competition. One of the things casual fans still remember the high-flying star for is his unique entrance in the company, which was performed in slow motion.

The wrestling veteran detailed the origin of this entrance during a recent appearance on the Off The Ropes podcast. John Morrison credited Stephanie McMahon for putting the whole thing together from an idea he had:

“That was mostly Stephanie actually. We were having a conversation about entrance ideas and I had brought up wanting to have a more cinematic vibe to the entrance, and man, I think I’d talked about trying to use a phantom camera that shoots — it’d shoot almost 100,000 frames per second so if you see those water drops like slowly dropping, I thought about doing something like that.”

She Just Kind of Put Together: John Morrison

John Morrison noted that he had also considered using a cinema entrance but decided not to because Goldust already had a similar entrance. The former WWE star said that he was glad the idea came from Stephanie, as it was executed very quickly because of it:

“I thought about a cinema treatment but Goldust had kind of already done that and then she just kind of put together in her head, like, ‘Why don’t we just go from regular speed to slow-mo, and then there will be a timelapse, and then you can walk out,’”

The former ECW Champion had also recently told the story of why Vince McMahon got rid of his original ring name in the company. You can check out his remarks here.

Mississippi State Auditor and More Comment On Ted DiBiase Jr. Acquittal

Former WWE star Ted DiBiase Jr. made news this week after being acquitted of all criminal charges in the Mississippi welfare fraud case. A federal jury returned a not guilty verdict for him on all 13 counts after 4 hours of deliberation this Friday.

U.S. Attorney Baxter Kruger spoke to media outlets after this verdict. He only gave a short statement on the unfavorable result of the trial, praising the effort of the prosecution team:

“While I remain confident in our case, I respect the jury’s verdict, I commend the prosecution team for their diligent efforts.”

The State Auditor Shad White also commented on the verdict while speaking to Mississippi Voice. He mentioned the seven other defendants, including former Mississippi Department of Human Services Director John Davis, nonprofit founder Nancy New, her son Zachary New, and Ted’s brother Brett DiBiase having already pleaded guilty to the charges. White expressed hope that the state lawyers will be able to recover as much of the scandal money as possible:

“While I’m disappointed in the result of the trial, nothing changes the fact that seven people have already pleaded guilty to state or federal charges because of the welfare scandal, My hope now is that the state’s lawyers will be able to recover as much of the misspent money as possible in civil court so hard-working taxpayers can see some accountability for what happened here.”

The former Million Dollar Champion also spoke to the media after his acquittal, talking about years of hardships he had to go through since being accused. You can check out his comments on the matter here.

  • Jelly Roll Announced For SmackDown Match Next Week

Jelly Roll Announced For SmackDown Match Next Week

Jelly Roll is getting a match.

The rap star got involved in a storyline with Kit Wilson while making an appearance on The Miz TV on last week’s SmackDown. Roll ended up hitting the A-Lister while trying to take out Wilson for some harsh words.

The Pretty Deadly star called out Jelly Roll for a fight on this week’s episode of the Blue Branded Show, but he then proposed a Slam Poetry contest when the Grammy-nominated artist did show up.

After some jokes about Jelly Roll’s dick and Kit Wilson’s mom, the segment ended with the former NXT star attacking JR and laying him out with an elbow drop.

Unhappy with how things turned out, Jelly found Nick Aldis backstage later on, and demanded a match with Wilson. The SmackDown General Manager obliged and made the match official for next week’s episode of the show from Pittsburgh.

Jelly Roll made his wrestling debut at SummerSlam 2025 when he teamed up with Randy Orton to take on Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul.

The Miz was seen chatting Wilson backstage before tonight’s developments, and it’s likely that the former World Champion will get involved in the match next week.

The music star would need a tag team partner if this set up leads to another tag match at WrestleMania. You can let us know your prediction on his partner in the comments below.

  • WWE Star Reportedly Fined For TikTok Video

WWE Star Reportedly Fined For TikTok Video

    Tama Tonga got some heat.

The MFT star had posted a TikTok video last week, showing the preparations for the March 13 SmackDown. The video taken from the entrance ramp briefly showed Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton in the ring, preparing for their segment on the show.

According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, the management was not happy with the footage going out and Tama Tonga was fined heavily for posting it:

“Word going around at SmackDown is that Tama Tonga was fined by WWE for posting a video of rehearsals last week. Was told it was significant of a fine. WWE has an unwritten rule about not recording/posting during rehearsal.”

Last week’s SmackDown featured a WrestleMania contract signing between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. The segment ended with The Viper turning heel and viciously attacking his former protege.

After Orton teased a mystery person’s involvement in the story on Raw, Matt Cardona stepped up to him on SmackDown this week. Randy pretended to apologize to the former Zack Ryder at first but he then attacked Cardona as well.

  • Unexpected Title Change On SmackDown

    Unexpected Title Change On SmackDown

    New Champions!

The March 20 episode of SmackDown featured a tag team championship match with MFT’s JC Mateo & Tama Tonga defending the title against the new alliance of Damian Priest and R-Truth.

The other MFT members got involved towards the ending of the bout as expected. Solo Sikoa ran interference, allowing Talla Tonga to chokeslam Truth on the apron. The wrestling veteran, however, still somehow kicked out of a pinfall attempt from Mateo.

The Wyatt Sicks then made an appearance to even the odds. The trio of Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy first came down to attack the MFT, and then Uncle Howdy locked the Mandible Claw on Solo. Mateo saved his leader and gave him the Wyatt lantern to defend himself.

The distraction cost the champions the bout, as Mateo got back in the ring. Priest first took out Tama Tonga, allowing Truth to hit the Attitude Adjustment on JC for the win.

This is an unexpected development as Damian Priest was originally believed to be set for a program with Royce Keys coming out of the Royal Rumble. These plans were seemingly nixed as part of the big WrestleMania shakeup and the tag team of Priest and Truth was born. The duo had only competed in two matches as a team before the tittle win and we’ll have to see how long they hold the belts.

  • Oba Femi Reveals Hall of Fame Inspiration for His Unique Entrance

Oba Femi Reveals Hall of Fame Inspiration for His Unique Entrance

Oba Femi loved the work of Bray Wyatt.

The former NXT Champion was the most recent guest on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon. He talked about things such as his Nigerian roots, his long-term goals in wrestling and more.

During the interview, The Ruler also discussed his love for the work of the late great Bray Wyatt. Oba Femi said that he specifically felt passionate about the original iteration of the Wyatt Family, featuring Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. He recalled paying tribute to the former World Champion by using one of his lines in a promo:

“I loved Bray. I love the original Wyatt Family. I just felt so passionately about that. The NXT version and when they first got to the main roster. I remember there was one line that they hit — I actually used that line in a promo a few years ago. He said, ‘You can send anybody after us but, don’t send anyone that you want back,’ and I was like, ‘This is the greatest bar ever.’”

It’s Catching Fire Right Now: Oba Femi

Apart from this, Oba Femi also discussed his entrance becoming popular among fans, and his unique walk that has been dubbed as the Oba strut. He revealed that the inspiration for it comes from Ric Flair’s entrance and he’s tried to make it more modern:

“I mean, it’s kind of a twist on Ric Flair. It’s a different one. I made it more modern. It’s more arm action, more shoulders. It’s catching fire right now. I really should start a TikTok because it’s going crazy on there.”

Bray Wyatt, real name Windham Lawrence Rotunda, passed away back in August 2023 at the age of 36. He suffered a heart attack while asleep at his home in Brooksville, Florida.

  • Zayda Steel Explains Why She Left WWE ID Program

Zayda Steel Explains Why She Left WWE ID Program

Zayda Steel could feel her passion diminishing.

The female star was one of the first names to get signed under the WWE ID program in November 2024, after the new development system was officially announced a month earlier in October. She wrestled matches for Evolve among other promotions as part of the ID system, but in October last year, the 22-year-old announced that she would not be renewing her ID deal.

During a recent appearance on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, the Moroccan-American star explained the decision to exit the WWE contract. Zayda Steel claimed that she chose to walk away because she wanted to be around people who love wrestling just as much as her:

“So, I don’t know how much I can say, but I will say this: I chose to walk away from my previous employment by choice. I’m on my own journey. I love wrestling. I just want to be around people that love it just as much as I do. So I chose to walk away.”

I Chose To Walk Away: Zayda Steel

Zayda Steel mentioned that her original plan was to take a couple of months off wrestling to give herself a mental break. She then would have loved to travel to Japan to do things the right way:

“I love wrestling, like I said, and this is my escape from reality and once I started to feel like my only escape was work and I started to not like it and not have fun — I want to always love this, so I chose to walk away — as well as my mental.

Personally, I was losing myself. I was losing the love for wrestling, the only thing I’ve loved. So it was pretty quickly on that. I was like, ‘Yeah, I need to do my own thing.’”

The young star had to abandon the idea for the overseas trip as she made her ROH debut at the Final Battle 2025 event in December and got signed by AEW shortly afterward. Steel revealed that she got a message from Tony Khan only 5 days after announcing her ID departure, thus beginning her AEW journey.

  • Jade Cargill Seemingly Agrees With Criticism of Her Title Reign

Jade Cargill Seemingly Agrees With Criticism of Her Title Reign

Jade Cargill wants to wrestle more.

The WWE Women’s Champion has been criticized for lack of matches since winning the title back in November. She has defended her championship only once since her SNME victory, and in total, the former AEW star has only competed in 6 matches on TV since then.

During a recent interview with Complex Graps, the WWE rookie was asked if she was satisfied with her title reign or if there was something she would like to change about it. Jade Cargill seemingly put the blame for her lack of in-ring time on creative, saying that she would have loved to wrestle more:

“I mean, I want to wrestle. When you become champion, you want to defend your title as much as possible. We have a stellar locker room, but they’re all tied in the tag division, making that strong. And I get it, but I want to wrestle.”

That’s What I’m Here For: Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill named Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss as names she would have loved to get in the ring with as a champion. She mentioned that she has been playing a tweener character so their status as heel or face would not have been a problem:

“So, I just would’ve wished to wrestle more. That’s all I want to do is wrestle. That’s all I want to do. I think getting dressed up is pretty and nice, and having these promos, and I love that too ‘cause it puts me to the test, but I like wrestling, and that’s what I’m here for.”

Apart from this, Jade Cargill talked about her time in AEW, and revealed why she stopped using the technical wrestling moves she learned from Bryan Danielson there. You can check out her remarks here.

  • Kane Reveals Reason For His 2003 Unmasking

Kane Reveals Reason For His 2003 Unmasking

Kane has revealed why he chose to abandon his mask in 2003.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently appeared on the River City Wrestling Con panel. He discussed things such as his early career, working with Vince McMahon and more.

During the talk, Kane also opened up about his 2003 unmasking. The former World Champion revealed that the whole thing was his own idea:

“It was my idea. I talked to Vince about it. Vince liked it—probably not so much for the reasons from my perspective.”

One of The Most Important Things: Kane

Kane started showing more personality at the start of 2002. The then Raw co-General Manager Steve Austin offered the fellow Attitude Era star a World Heavyweight title match against Triple H at the June 23, 2003 episode of the show if he rejected The Game’s offer to join Evolution.

The other co-General Manager Eric Bischoff then stipulated that the brother of Undertaker will have to lose his mask if he failed to win the title, leading to Kane’s unmasking and subsequent heel turn.

The Devil’s Favorite Demon explained that the mask restrained his ability to tell stories, including limiting his promo abilities. So he ultimately decided that it was time to let the mask go:

“My perspective was as a performer, and yeah, I felt that being under the mask—I don’t want to say run its course because, you know, it was a really cool character and it still worked—but there were constraints and limitations that it put on me. Obviously, the biggest one is I couldn’t use my face to show people emotion, which is one of the most important things.”

Apart from this, Kane also revealed how the debut of his character was result of a late WWE star’s arrest. You can check out the full story here.

  • Booker T Believes AEW Revolution Spot Was ‘In Poor Taste’

Booker T Believes AEW Revolution Spot Was ‘In Poor Taste’

Booker T did not like the syringe spot at Revolution.

The latest AEW PPV was main evented by a World Championship bout between MJF and his challenger, Hangman Page. The match, contested under Texas Death Match stipulation featured many brutal spots. One such spot that got people talking was when the Champion inserted a syringe in Page’s mouth.

The WWE Hall of Famer addressed the spot during the latest episode of his podcast. Booker T mentioned how Hangman had been involved in a similar angle with Swerve Strickland in their All Out 2024 match. He suggested that both times, the involvement of a syringe was in poor taste:

“Last time I saw a syringe used like that, it was in a Strickland match, and I didn’t think it was in great taste because, you know, I don’t know what these guys think or understand about needles and drugs and whatnot.”

It’s Just In Poor Taste: Booker T

Booker T explained his dislike for the use of a syringe in wrestling, saying that it reminds him of encounters with drug users in his family early in his life. The former WCW Champion explained that those moments made him not want to do drugs ever:

“But I’ve walked into a room, when I was a kid, on someone in my family — someone close to my family — with a needle in their arm, doing drugs. And it’s something that made me never want to even think about doing drugs like that.

I used to see needles on the ground when I was a kid because I was in places where I wasn’t supposed to be. So to see something like that on television, knowing what it represents, it’s just in poor taste.”

The 61-year-old later noted that he did not watch the whole thing, so he will not comment on the match. Knowing the involvement of the syringe spot however, he is glad he did not watch the show.

  • Potential Injury At Latest Collision Tapings

Potential Injury At Latest Collision Tapings

Josh Alexander might be dealing with an injury.

AEW Collision this week will be airing in two parts on TNT because of NCAA basketball coverage. The company taped matches to that effect alongside this week’s episode of Dynamite from Fresno, California.

One of the matches taped for the Sunday edition of the show was the Trios Champions Mistico & Jetspeed taking on Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita and El Clon.

PWinsider is reporting, however, that Alexander might have suffered an injury during this bout as he went to the floor after a spot and did not return to the match afterward.

The spot in question saw Mike Bailey hitting the Ultima Weapon, a standing moonsault, on the former Champion. Their knees connected when Bailey came down, after which Josh did not compete in the bout further.

The 38-year-old was checked by doctors backstage after the spot but so far there is no update on his status or potential hiatus from the company.

Josh Alexander is not the only AEW name dealing with an injury as latest reports suggest that another top star is expected to take extended time off from the company. You can check out more about it here.

Nikki Bella Questions Female Stars Never Getting Proper Farewell In WWE

Nikki Bella wants her own John Cena moment.

The Bella Twins made their return to WWE programming this past Friday Night on SmackDown. They cost Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair their match against the current Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend. This comes after they hinted at going after the belts following Brie Bella’s Royal Rumble return.

The sisters talked about their goals in this latest run on the newest episode of their podcast. During the talk, Nikki Bella expressed frustration with female stars never getting a send-off from the company:

“For me, I don’t think you and I will ever get that last retirement moment that John got and AJ Styles got, let’s be honest, the men get, right? I don’t think you and I will ever get that,”

I Don’t Think We Will: Nikki Bella

WWE has seen a number of retirements over the last year. Following Goldberg and John Cena, AJ Styles became the latest name to get a promoted final match at the company at Royal Rumble. Styles then made an appearance at the February 23 Raw for a farewell in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia and he was announced as the latest inductee in Hall of Fame during the show.

Nikki Bella revealed that the Twins signed a two-year contract with WWE starting with the Saudi PPV and suggested that the period will mark the end of their wrestling careers. The wrestling veteran then said that she would love to be able to say goodbye to fans in a similar fashion to the male stars:

“But I would love to have that because I do know that the contract that we signed, you know, we signed a two-year deal starting Royal Rumble and for you and I, the talks we’ve had and what I know just where I’m at, that’s it.

That will be the end for me and for us and I would love, because I need the buttons on things, right? I would love to have them on. I would love to put my kicks, my snapback, my jersey right in the middle of that ring and just give that final bow, so I don’t know if we’ll ever get that. I don’t think we will, but is that what you were?”

Do you think WWE should provide an equal opportunity to female stars when it comes to a proper farewell? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Latest On Bron Breakker’s WWE Absence

Latest On Bron Breakker’s WWE Absence

WWE is optimistic about Bron Breakker.

The Vision member has been out of action since January’s Royal Rumble PPV. He underwent a hernia surgery after hurting himself in a table spot during the February 2 episode of Raw.

Fightful Select recently provided an update on the status of the former NXT Champion. They noted that a source at WWE has expressed optimism that Bron Breakker will get cleared for action before WrestleMania.

There is said to be a plan in place for the explosive star if he is able to make his return before the Show of Shows, though the site did not confirm what that is.

The obvious guess would be a match with Seth Rollins after the Architect returned to the company at the Elimination Chamber PPV last month and cost Logan Paul the bout.

We’ll have to see if the officials have alternate plans for Rollins in case Breakker is unable to make his return before the Las Vegas PLE, or if the former World Champion is left in limbo like another WWE main event talent. You can check out more about it here.

  • Mercedes Mone Gives Hint About AEW Return Date

Mercedes Mone Gives Hint About AEW Return Date

Mercedes Mone says her AEW hiatus will be ending soon.

The former WWE star has been away from Tony Khan’s promotion since the end of her record-breaking TBS title run on December 31 last year. She took a break from wrestling altogether afterward. The wrestling veteran returned to the ring at a CMLL show on March 6, but she has not wrestled for AEW this year.

The former champion addressed her status with the company during a recent interview with Wrestling Time on Italian TV. Mercedes Mone talked about her recent indie matches in Europe before teasing her AEW break coming to an end sooner rather than later:

“I’m returning really, really soon. But right now, I am on my Mone Madness Tour all over Europe. First, it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that, Mama is gonna return home.”

The Winnipeg mention could be a hint about her AEW return. Mercedes is scheduled to defend the WPW Women’s Championship at WPW Fight at the Museum event on March 31.

AEW will be visiting the Canadian city only a day after for a Dynamite taping, and it would be the perfect place for Mone’s return before the Dynasty PPV set for Vancouver on April 12.

  • WWE Tag Team Discussed For Return

WWE Tag Team Discussed For Return

The Street Profits could be returning soon.

The former WWE tag team champions have not been seen on WWE programming since October last year, but that could be changing soon.

According to the latest reports from Fightful Select, creative plans have been discussed for Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford in recent times.

While the report doesn’t confirm if they will be returning before or after WrestleMania 42, the hope is that the SmackDown stars will not be off TV for much longer.

Montez Ford’s wife, Bianca Belair, has been out of action for almost a year now due to a complicated finger injury, but there has been no word on either of the Street Profits members being on the shelf.

Despite not appearing on TV since last year, the tag team worked a few NXT live events in late January, suggesting that other factors are at work behind their recent hiatus.

The Profits had a run with the Tag Team Titles last year before dropping the belts to Wyatt Sicks in July, and it’s possible that they will go after the championships once again when they make their comeback.

Ricky Saints Reacts To Randy Orton Turning On Cody Rhodes

Ricky Saints does not see a problem with The Viper’s actions.

This past Friday’s SmackDown was main evented by a WrestleMania contract signing segment between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Elimination Chamber winner Randy Orton. The Legend Killer viciously attacked his friend and former protege at the end of the segment, leaving the American Nightmare a bloodied mess to close the show.

Being a close friend of the AEW co-founder, Ricky Saints was asked about Orton’s heel turn during a recent interview with Kron 4. The former NXT Champion, who himself turned heel last December, sided with Randy, however, saying that what he did does not make him a bad person:

“I’m going to tell you this. Sometimes it’s not a changing of the attitude. It is when we decide to put up certain boundaries that we’re tired of people crossing, and I think that’s what happened.

That happened with me and that happened with Randy. It doesn’t make us bad people. It just makes us people who are tired of being walked over. So I liked it. I thought it was great. Good for him. You know what I’m saying? Good for him. Hopefully this stays here, but good for him.”

Randy Orton added another twist to his story with Cody Rhodes on this past Monday’s Raw after his attack. The 14-time world champion was seen talking to someone on the phone and the wrestling veteran suggested that the mystery person inspired his actions. You can check out more about it here.

  • Jade Cargill Blames Fans For Not Doing Technical Wrestling Anymore

Jade Cargill Blames Fans For Not Doing Technical Wrestling Anymore

Jade Cargill has explained why she stopped doing technical wrestling.

The wrestling abilities of the reigning WWE Women’s Champion has been a topic of discussion among fans recently after multiple names suffered injuries while working with her. People have questioned whether sending the former AEW star to NXT would have been the better decision, considering that she has defended her title only once since winning it back in November last year.

The female star seemingly addressed the criticism of her limited abilities in the ring during a recent interview with Complex. Jade Cargill mentioned how she learned a lot of technical wrestling while working with Daniel Bryan at Tony Khan’s promotion. She had to abandon those lessons however, because she got no reaction from fans:

“Daniel Bryan taught me so much technical wrestling and I tried it. I tried to do some technical wrestling, it’s funny because when I tried technical wrestling — I have tried it, go back at my old stuff at my previous company. I tried it, I had no reaction out of fans.”

That’s What They Like: Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill claimed that fans do not want to see a wrestler her size doing technical wrestling. The WWE star explained that what people like is seeing her talking smack and throwing people around:

“I learned so much, I was training with him every week. You know what fans want to see? Me picking somebody up and throwing somebody around, me talking my smack. They don’t want to see me on the ground grappling.

I know how to grapple, I know how to do it, they don’t want to see that. They cheer, they boo, they get up out of their seats, they do what they need to do when I’m pounding to the ground, that’s what they like.”

Later in the interview, Cargill noted that the two people whose advice she is applying to her performance are Booker T and Billy Gunn. Jade also said that she is a big girl who looks good whooping ass of other talent and there is no reason she should be going toe to toe with smaller wrestlers.

MVP Takes Dig At WWE Ticket Prices Costing ‘Two Months Salary’

MPV has touted the affordability of AEW.

The high cost of WWE tickets has been a topic of discussion among wrestling fans in recent times amid news of slow WrestleMania ticket sales. AEW has taken advantage of this talk with a number of talents promoting the company as the affordable alternative to the combat sports juggernaut that is TKO.

The former US Champion joined this list during his most recent interview with Battleground Podcast. MVP first talked about the rapid rate of inflation across the board and then took a shot at WWE for charging more money than an average wrestling fan can afford:

“Right now in our country, we have a problem with affordability across the board. I don’t care what your political affiliation is — it’s tough. And whatever your wrestling affiliation is, you have to admit that there are some companies that are charging more than the average wrestling fan can afford to go and see some good live wrestling.”

    Affordability Matters: MVP

MVP then noted that affordability is a priority for Tony Khan and AEW. He mentioned how the company generally tapes Dynamite and Collision together, which means you get two shows at the price of one. The 52-year-old then took another dig at his former employers, saying that you don’t have to spend two months of salary to afford good seats at AEW shows:

“AEW — affordability matters, and we love the fact that Tony Khan has set up All Elite Wrestling as a company where we get down to wrestling. It’s where the best go to wrestle, and a father of two or three — a family of four — can go to an AEW show and have a great time. You can buy affordable seats ringside, sit just a few rows back, and not have to spend two months salary to do it. I think that’s a beautiful thing.”

Mick Foley has released a new statement.

The WWE Hall of Famer has been one of the prominent wrestling voices speaking up against the actions of the current US administration and ICE, even cutting ties with WWE over the issue. In the spree, he released a new video statement on his YouTube channel recently, appealing to the general public.

The Hardcore legend noted that he recently saw a poll saying 65% of Americans are against the actions of ICE, which means that 35% support the cruel treatment of fellow humans and he refuses to believe that. He noted that he is talking to people who are not too far gone and can still think for themselves:

“Now, if you’re one of those people — like a close relative of mine who certainly seems to feel like Alex Pretti and Renee Good deserve to die — then I’m not talking to you. Thank you for your support, and you can just, you know, watch it and leave a mean comment or get out of the conversation.”

The United States of America Is Better Than This: Mick Foley

Mick Foley then discussed his experience of meeting US citizens from all walks of life while being on the road as a wrestler. The former World Champion said that he refuses to believe the people who treated him with kindness during time on the road would turn a blind eye to this problem:

“Many people might not believe this, but I firmly believe the United States of America is better than this. America is better than zip-tying senior citizens. America is better than chasing down agricultural workers or abducting day laborers at Home Depot. America is better than using children for bait.”

The wrestling veteran ended his statement, appealing to people to use the power of truth and make a difference by using their voice to spread the message.
