Tyrus Reveals How Dusty Rhodes Stopped Him From Quitting WWE Over Funkasaurus Gimmick

Tyrus has revealed how Dusty Rhodes stopped him from quitting WWE.

The former WWE star, better known to fans as Brodus Clay, told the origin story of his Funkasaurus gimmick during a new episode of Planet Tyrus. The 53-year-old revealed that he was originally supposed to play a more serious character. However, Vince McMahon decided to give him a comedy gimmick when he saw him making jokes with his friends backstage.

Upon learning what the gimmick would look like, the wrestling veteran wanted to quit the company altogether, and he went to Dusty Rhodes to voice his frustrations:

“I came off the road and went straight to Dusty. He was waiting for me and no one else…he kicked everyone out the arena. He shut down the school. I walked in there, and I was telling him I wanted to quit. It was a lot for me because this was my dream, and it was ending because I’m not going out there dancing. I’m not doing that shit.”

I Turned That Shit Around: Tyrus

The American Dream, however, completely changed his perspective by telling him the story of his own WWE arrival. Dusty Rhodes offered to work on the character with Tyrus, leading to the birth of the Funkasaurus:

“And I was telling him everything. He looked at me and he’s like ‘So you better than me?’ I was like ‘What are you talking about?’ He’s like ‘Are you better than me? Are you more of a man than I am?’ I was like ‘No, sir.’

He said, ‘I had kids to support. I had a wife to support. He brought me into WWE and I was already a made man. And he made me wear polka dots. Yellow polka dots. Cause he wanted everyone to make fun of me. He wanted to embarrass me. And I turned that shit around. I walked out there every night with my head high, because every time I walked out there, there was food on my family’s table. Are you fucking better than me?’ And I was like ‘No, Sir,’ [He said] ‘Then get your ass out in that ring and figure it out. I’ll do it with you.’”

  • Chris Jericho Makes Move Towards Potential Wrestling Return

Chris Jericho Makes Move Towards Potential Wrestling Return

Chris Jericho might be getting ready for a comeback.

The former World Champion has remained in the news despite being absent from the wrestling scene for almost a year now. He has kept people guessing about his next move, but so far, all speculations have proven to be wrong.

The wrestling veteran made another such suggestive move recently. According to USPTO records, Chris Jericho filed an application on March 24, to trademark the term ‘Cornerstone’ to be used on merchandise as well as wrestling exhibits & performances by a professional wrestler.

The filing could just mean that the 55-year-old is gearing up to launch a new set of merchandise, declaring himself an important figure in the wrestling world.

Coupled with his recent comments about still having some career left in him, however, there is a strong possibility that Chris Jericho might be getting ready to end his wrestling hiatus.

The big question in that case would be which brand Y2J would make his return for, as WWE, AEW, ROH, and NJPW remain viable options.

Which company do you think would be the best fit for Chris Jericho at this stage of his career? Let us know your pick in the comments below.

  • Buff Bagwell Teases One More Match For TNA Despite Leg Amputation

Buff Bagwell Teases One More Match For TNA Despite Leg Amputation

Buff Bagwell wants one more match.

The former WCW star made a surprise appearance at the March 26 episode of Impact. Being interviewed by Gia Miller, the wrestling veteran mentioned his recent leg amputation, and expressed interest in wrestling one more match for the company:

“First of all, I wanna thank God for being with me every step of my way through this entire journey. It’s been tough. For those of you who don’t know, I’ve amputated my leg recently on July 10th, 2025. And it was devastating. I didn’t know what to think of it, but God really stood by me the whole way.

The third thing is, I’ve got a big apology. I’ve got to apologize to each and every fan out here for my behavior over the last 20 years. There’s been some ups and some downs, but more downs than ups. I want you to know. If you’ll get behind me just one more time. I will come down this ramp. I will walk down this ramp. I will get in that ring, and I will wrestle for TNA, one more time.”

Frankie Kazarian then interrupted the segment, and the King of TNA had some harsh words for the 56-year-old. Before things could get physical, however, Elijah’s music hit, and Kazarian swiftly retreated. The former WWE star said that he will make sure nobody stops Buff from living out his dream, and hoped that he will be there to walk with him when that time comes.

Buff Bagwell was involved in a car crash in August 2020 where he suffered multiple serious injuries. He underwent a number of surgeries trying to repair the damage, but ultimately had to make the call to get his right leg amputated above the knee last year.

  • Absent AEW Star Admits Mental Health Effects of Prolonged Hiatus

Absent AEW Star Admits Mental Health Effects of Prolonged Hiatus

The Butcher is not enjoying his time off AEW TV.

The AEW star had found himself in a predicament after his tag team partner, The Blade, had to take a long hiatus from wrestling in February 2024 due to a fusion surgery. Tony Khan continued booking the 48-year-old in occasional singles matches for a while with his partner being out of action, before eventually stopping. As things stand, the wrestling star has not competed in a match for the company since February 2025.

The 48-year-old addressed his year-long TV hiatus during a recent interview with Youngstown Studio. The Butcher first mentioned that he understands the difficulty of booking a tag team talent without his partner:

“How many times can you send a guy out there in singles matches and then they lose? You know what I mean? You kind of have to shelve them. And I kind of understand, and try to be humble with that.”

What Did I Do Wrong: The Butcher

Though the former guitarist then admitted that the prolonged absence has had an effect on his mental health, even if he is grateful for still being under contract with AEW:

“It does seep into your head like, dude, what did I do wrong? ‘Cause no one talks to you. It’s not like they’re checking up on me every week, going like, how you doing, dude?

It’s just like, we’ll call you when we need you. And that is kind of a [mindfuck]. At the same time, I’m so grateful because I get paid every two weeks. Blade is now healthy, so we can work indies and stuff like that.”

The Blade returned to the ring after spending almost two years on the shelf at an indie show in December last year. While he is yet to step in the ring with The Butcher again, the hope is that the tag team will return to AEW TV sooner rather than later.

  • Booker T Wants You To Stop Hating His Cybertruck

Booker T Wants You To Stop Hating His Cybertruck

Booker T wants you to stop being a hater.

The WWE Hall of Famer received some negative reactions when he rolled up for his Appreciation Night on March 17 NXT in a Tesla Cybertruck. The wrestling veteran addressed these comments during the latest episode of his podcast.

Despite the recent politically charged environment of the wrestling world, the 5-time WCW World Champion did not directly address the political reasons people have come to hate Tesla and its owner, Elon Musk. Booker T instead explained that he has been waiting for the future to arrive for a long time, and he wants to experience all technological advancements he can before the end of his time on earth:

“I got a lot of heat for rolling up in my Cybertruck too, for some reason…A lot of fans hate the Cybertruck. I don’t know why. Maybe they think I’m, you know, I don’t know what they think.…For you young people out there, I’ve been waiting on the future since I was a kid.

I’m not gonna die without having self-drive mode, and all that stuff, to get me around town. I’m not leaving without it, okay? So I’m trying all the gadgets before I get up out of this place. Okay? So don’t hate me for riding in a Cybertruck.”

    I’m Serious: Booker T

Booker T noted that Cybertruck is a big vehicle, and he is happy with the legroom that comes with it. Instead of getting rid of his Tesla car, the former World Champion said that he is actually thinking of adding the Model X to his collection. Not only that, but the 61-year-old is also hoping for flying cars to become a thing soon enough:

“I was the first one, one of the boys, to have a GPS on the road. I’m serious. So my thing is, if it’s something that’s future-related, if I can get a car that can fly before I get up out of here, I’m getting one. I’m serious!”

What do you think about Booker T’s enthusiasm for new technologies? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • MJF Set For First Time Ever Match Against Former WWE Champion

MJF Set For First Time Ever Match Against Former WWE Champion

MJF is set for a big match.

The AEW World Champion has been angling for a match against Nic Nemeth for months, going as far back as January when he first called out the former WWE and TNA World Champion.

He made another attempt at it this Thursday when MJF seemingly responded to subtle shots from the former Dolph Ziggler on X, saying that he was an overhyped mid-carder

“This dude actually said I remind him of a younger Dolph Ziggler.  lol. I don’t remember ever being an overhyped mid-carder.  This dude is delusional. This dude is jealous. And most importantly, this dude should keep my name out of his fucking mouth.”

    MJF vs. Nic Nemeth

Though the talks actually progressed beyond social media this time. Brian Myers announced that the two have agreed to meet in the ring at the upcoming Create A Pro show in New York on May 1st:

This will be the first time Nic Nemeth and MJF enter the ring together. The Salt of The Earth had previously offered Nemeth a shot at the AEW World title and we’ll have to see if this match leads to a title fight between the two.

The AEW Champion will have to overcome the challenge of another former World Champion he will be meeting in the main event of Dynasty before this. You can check out more about it here.

  • WWE’s Original NXT Plans For Bron Breakker Revealed

WWE’s Original NXT Plans For Bron Breakker Revealed

Bron Breakker’s NXT run could have looked very different.

The second-generation star was one of the biggest success stories coming out of the NXT revamp in late 2021, dubbed 2.0. He surprised everyone with his debut performance in September that year. It was the result of his impressive showings that the 28-year-old won the NXT title only 4 months after his first match for the brand.

During a recent interview with No Contest Wrestling podcast, Tony D’Angelo talked about this early period of the rebranded NXT. He revealed that originally, the officials had planned for him to be part of a tag team with Bron Breakker, which would have leaned into the latter’s wrestling heritage more prominently:

“When we first got in, me and Bron were in a tag together. So we were doing that for a minute. Not on TV, but they were priming us, ‘This is what you’re gonna do,’ kinda like the new age Steiner Brothers type of deal. I was [to wear a singlet], but I was wearing a singlet before that anyway, so that wasn’t foreign.”

We’re Not Doing This: Tony D’Angelo

The idea was nixed shortly before the development brand was given a new identity. According to Tony D’Angelo, it was Road Dogg who informed him of the decision:

“I just remember one day, Road Dogg came up and he was like, ‘Hey man, we’re not doing this,’ and this is right when 2.0 first kicked off, they kinda just, ‘Clean slate, everybody, we kinda have a lane for you,’ and I had to figure out quick what I was gonna do,”

Tony D’Angelo would go on to introduce The D’Angelo Family faction in April 2022. Bron Breakker would be moved to the main roster in February 2024, while D’Angelo has remained with NXT.

  • Brock Lesnar Reveals Crazy Story of His Sword Tattoo

Brock Lesnar Reveals Crazy Story of His Sword Tattoo

Some wrestlers, like Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio, think a long time before getting a new tattoo, while others, like Brock Lesnar, just wake up to find that they have gotten new ink. The Beast Incarnate recently had an interview with Barstool Sports where he discussed his life and career in detail. Among other things, he told the story of his famous sword tattoo.

The former UFC Champion mentioned that he got it a while after his April 2004 motorcycle accident. Brock Lesnar noted that it was one of the hardest periods of his life as he was being haunted by the IRS and Vince McMahon was suing him for breaking WWE’s non-compete clause. He was also involved in a custody battle for his daughter, and he just woke up one day, surprised by the tattoo:

“I got that tattoo. I was shit-faced drunk in Scottsdale, Arizona. Okay? I did it.  Yeah, I did it. I was in Scottsdale training for the NFL, had just gotten in a motorcycle accident, and I was just kicked down hard. I had been going through all that stuff and there was a tattoo shop across the street from the biker bar, and that’s not a good place to have a tattoo shop.

I got this tattoo. I didn’t even know I got the damn thing. I wake up the next day and I’m like, “What in the—is this thing?….No planning whatsoever. It was a half a gallon of vodka and maybe a few Vicodin.”

Apart from this, Brock Lesnar also talked about his UFC run and revealed that at first, Dana White wanted nothing to do with him and that the UFC President was actually ghosting him. To get his first shot in the company, the former WWE Champion had to confront the MMA executive after a UFC show. You can check out the full story here.

Chris Jericho Provides Update On Wrestling Career

  • Chris Jericho Discusses Current Overemphasis On Five Star Matches

Chris Jericho Discusses Current Overemphasis On Five Star Matches

Chris Jericho believes match quality is overemphasized in today’s wrestling.

The former AEW World Champion recently spoke to GamesHub for a new interview. He talked about things such as his underrated rivalry with the Rock, pitching Vince McMahon an angle involving The Wyatt Family and Shawn Michaels that went nowhere and more.

During the talk, Chris Jericho was also asked how he defines success in wrestling at this stage of his career. In response, Y2J discussed how match quality has become a big topic of discussion among fans in recent years while wrestling is not about that:

“Match quality has become so overemphasised. Wrestling isn’t about match quality — wrestling is about connecting with the crowd, capturing the imagination and the interest of the people watching.”

How Is The Crowd Reacting: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho explained that matches with exceptional quality of in-ring work used to be rarer back in the day, giving the example of his WrestleMania 18 match with HBK. Nowadays, however, a single show could feature multiple five-star matches, which makes things like character work and storytelling even more important:

“Now you can go to a show and see five-star matches back-to-back, if we’re going by the definition of lots of innovative physical moves. Which is great. But how is the crowd reacting? A five-star match should mean the crowd is going crazy in a sold-out stadium.

You can also have a five-star match in a community centre in front of 50 people, so the rating in isolation is irrelevant. It’s character, it’s storyline, it’s charisma. That’s what wrestling is about — it was in the 1930s and it is now.”

The wrestling veteran said that the biggest stars are those who connect with the crowd at the highest level, and anyone who can do that will always have a career.

He mentioned how Ultimate Warrior did not have many great matches but people still paid to see him just running in the ring. Jericho said that he would love to be able to do something like that and save the wear and tear on his body.

  • Brock Lesnar Reveals How He Got Into UFC After Dana White Ghosted Him

Brock Lesnar Reveals How He Got Into UFC After Dana White Ghosted Him

Brock Lesnar has revealed how he got his first shot at UFC.

The Beast Incarnate had found himself directionless after quitting WWE in 2004 to join the NFL, only to be cut by Minnesota Vikings before he could play any games for the team. This is when he entered the world of MMA, eventually becoming one of the most prominent faces of UFC.

During a recent interview with Barstool Sports, however, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion revealed that his MMA success did not come easy. He revealed that despite his successful MMA debut at K1’s Dynamite!! USA event, UFC President Dana White wanted nothing to do with the former WWE Champion, and he ghosted Brock Lesnar at first:

“The UFC—Dana White wanted nothing to do with me.  I didn’t know that.  He wouldn’t return my phone calls.  So what happened was, I fought at the L.A. Coliseum for K-1 Dynamite, and then I wanted to get into the big leagues, and there was only one big league at the time. It was the UFC. So my team reached out and wanted to do something with the UFC.”

    I’m Brock Lesnar

Explaining how he finally managed to convince White, Brock Lesnar told the story of how he bought tickets to UFC 74 in Mandalay Bay Events Center and confronted the UFC executive after the main event:

So guys, this is how bad this is, this is the stuff that you have to do. So I said, ;Screw it.’ I bought four nosebleed tickets to the MGM. Randy Couture was headlining against Gabriel Gonzaga for the Heavyweight Championship.

I sat there in the stands through the entire event, and as soon as Randy won that fight, I scaled security and ran to the octagon and grabbed Dana. And I introduced myself. I said, “I’m Brock Lesnar.”  We went to the back and he says, ‘Listen, I’ll give you a shot.’

Dana White gave the wrestling veteran a one-fight deal after this but unfortunately for Lesnar, he ended up losing his debut match against Frank Mir. Brock thought that he was never going to be fighting for the promotion again, but Dana then gave him a longer contract because the event did good numbers.

  • ‘You F—ing Suck’: MJF Puts ‘Lazy’ Indie Talents On Blast

‘You F—ing Suck’: MJF Puts ‘Lazy’ Indie Talents On Blast

MJF believes the current crop of indie talent needs major improvements.

The reigning AEW World Champion has used his latest title run as a conduit of opportunity for young talents. With a number of indie appearances in the past few months, the Salt of the Earth has put the spotlight on some young rookies not yet signed by big promotions.

He spoke about his experience of these trips during a new interview with Sports Illustrated. MJF said that the guys he has wrestled are ones that are working hard on their craft, but there are many others who are not doing the best they can:

“I think a lot of these new guys are lazy, they’re not getting in the car, they’re not traveling to do ring crew. Brother, when I was on the independents, I would get in my car, and I would drive to, name a state in North America, I drove there.

Name a place in Canada, I drove there. Name a place in Mexico, I drove there. And I did it for $20 and a can of Coke and a hot dog and a handshake. I did it because I wanted to get better, and I needed reps.”

    You F—ing Suck: MJF

MJF warned such people not to assume that they’re going to be handed opportunities just because of the current wrestling boom. The 30-year-old said that AEW is not a lazy promotion, so anyone who wants to be part of the company needs to be ready to put in the work:

“A lot of these guys that are coming into the industry, they’re thinking, ‘Oh, there’s AEW, there’s WWE, there’s TNA, there’s MLW, why aren’t I signed yet?’ You’re not signed yet because you f—ing suck.

Get better. Apply yourself. Go to training three to four times a week. Find a ring. Roll around. Make yourself better. Do tape study. Become a student of the sport.”

After defeating Hangman Page at Revolution, MJF has found his next challenger in the form of another former world champion. You can check out more about it here.

  • Kyle Fletcher Recalls AEW PPV Being ‘One of The Worst Days’ of His Life

Kyle Fletcher Recalls AEW PPV Being ‘One of The Worst Days’ of His Life

Kyle Fletcher says All In: Texas was one of the worst days of his life.

The 2025 AEW PPV was originally scheduled to feature a TNT Title match between The Protostar and Adam Cole. The match was cancelled hours before the show, however, due to the former WWE star’s injury. It was replaced with a fatal four-way for the now vacant title, which was won by Dustin Rhodes.

The Don Callis Family member spoke about the whole experience for the first time in a new interview with Soundsphere Magazine. Kyle Fletcher proclaimed that it was one of the worst days of his life because he had been preparing for the moment for a long time:

“It was one of the worst days of my whole life. When you have so much built up anxiety and you’ve put that pressure on yourself… You know, I’d been dieting for two, three months leading up to that show. Every single day, I’d been thinking about this moment, this match, all of it. And then the rug gets pulled five hours before, you can’t really put into words what that kind of feels like.”

It Just All Went To Shit: Kyle Fletcher

Adam Cole was originally ready to announce his wrestling retirement after vacating the TNT title and he was only stopped by the officials imploring him not to make it official. The former NXT Champion has not returned to the ring since then, and there has been no update on his wrestling future.

Kyle Fletcher explained that it was supposed to be a huge day for him and he felt a lot of mixed emotions on the match being cancalled. Though he later admitted that he can’t complain too much as the situation for Cole was worse:

“I was just in this weird limbo. I had no idea what was gonna happen, and I had flown my mum out for that show. It was obviously a huge day for me, and then it just all went to shit. Obviously, this is my perspective. It’s very hard for me to complain about it, because I don’t feel like I have the right to complain about it. But yeah, it was very emotional in a lot of different ways, and not how you want a big day like that to go.”

The 27-year-old later said that because of this turn of events, he wants to make sure that the show this year will be a much more positive experience and a day to remember for him.

Abhorrent And Miserable Experience: Paul Heyman Buries WWE’s ECW Reboot

Paul Heyman is not a fan of WWE’s ECW.

The Mad Genius of Wrestling recently spoke to VGC’s Chris Scullion to promote WWE 2K26. He discussed things such as his place among other great mic workers of wrestling history, which current female star he would like to manage and more.

When asked about ECW’s inclusion in the latest WWE video game, Paul Heyman buried the company’s 2006 reboot of the brand saying that it was a miserable experience for everyone involved:

“I don’t think anybody chanting ECW in 2026 is thinking about the WWE-ized version of 2006, which was one absolutely abhorrent, miserable experience for everybody involved. When people chant ECW, they’re talking about the period from September 1993 to January 2001.”

Though later Paul Heyman said that the inclusion of the 1994 Hardcore Heaven PPV in WWE 2K26 is an honor for anyone who worked on the show. According to him, it is a genuine and authentic portrayal of the ECW, which revolutionized the entire industry.

WWE’s 2006 relaunch of ECW was originally headed by Heyman and retained many qualities that earned the company its reputation. Though things were slowly smoothed out to bring the brand in line with other WWE shows at the time. It led to the advocate quitting the company altogether in December that year and returning only after the brand became defunct in 2010.

Top AEW Champion Re-signs With Company (Report)

    Thekla has re-signed with AEW.

The Toxic Spider has made a big impact in her rookie year with the company. Making her debut for the promotion in May 2025, the 32-year-old defeated Kris Statlander to become the new AEW Women’s Champion on the February 11 episode of Dynamite this year.

Now Fightful Select has provided a big update on Thekla’s status with the company, revealing that the female star has signed a new multi-year deal with AEW recently. According to the site, the Austrian pro wrestler had originally signed a two-year deal when she moved to America from Japan.

Her performances since then have been well-received within the promotion, and the company officials were so happy with her work that they made the decision to lock her down with a new long-term contract.

Making her wrestling debut in 2017, Thekla first gained popularity with her stint with World Wonder Ring Stardom. She joined Giulia’s Donna Del Mondo faction upon her Stardom debut in 2021 and went on to hold titles such as Goddess of Stardom Championship.

There is no word on the length of Thekla’s new AEW deal, but it’s likely that she received a big pay rise with the new contract as well.

Ex-Day Care Director Accused of Embezzling Millions For WWE Tickets

    Embezzling money for WWE tickets?

Murielle Misczak, the former director of KinderHaus Brooklyn, was arrested on charges of embezzlement this Wednesday. She has been accused of stealing $2.8 million from the expensive German-language immersion day care by routing tuition deposits to her own PayPal accounts.

According to a story from New York Times, Misczak has been accused of spending the stolen money to fund luxury vacations, food deliveries, as well as pro wrestling tickets:

“Using at least $350,000 of the stolen funds, Ms. Misczak took her three children to World Wrestling Entertainment events, buying tickets for deluxe packages where they met professional wrestlers at outings like ‘Monday Night Raw,’ according to a person familiar with the case who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a law enforcement matter.”

Joining the day care in 2013, Murielle Misczak became the director of the institute in 2020. In her position, she was responsible for overseeing the school’s financial accounts, and managed its tuition collection.

The founder of KinderHaus, Simona D’Souza, became aware of the anomalies in October 2025, after which she fired Ms. Misczak and sued her in December in the State Supreme Court in Brooklyn.

Though Ms. Misczak has pleaded not guilty to the charges and her lawyer, Lowell J. Sidney, said in a statement that he was ‘reviewing the government’s evidence.’

Israel Adesanya is a fan of Oba Femi.

The former UFC Middleweight Champion recently spoke to Full Send MMA for an interview promoting his fight with Joe Pyfer that is set to main event this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event. He talked about things such as his past opponents, his message for Malcolm Schuyler, and more.

They also discussed a little bit of wrestling, namely, which theme songs he considers to be his top 5 of all time. Israel Adesanya named Rey Mysterio and The Rock as his first two picks and then mentioned that he was really excited to hear Stone Cold Steve Austin’s theme song at WrestleMania last year:

“Stone Cold. When you hear the glass shatter, you know what the fuck’s happening. I was at WrestleMania last year. It was a secret or surprise, but I kind of had a feeling he was going to pull up. But when I heard the glass shatter, I lost my fucking mind,”

    He’s The Guy: Israel Adesanya

Israel Adesanya then picked Stacey Kiebler as his fourth entry in the list before commenting on Oba Femi’s recent rise in WWE:

“One more, I’d say right now, Oba Femi. I really like the way he just moves. I like the way he’s carrying the WWE right now. He’s the guy. He’s just like, he’s got that swagger. So shout out to Oba Femi. It’s not Oba, it’s Oba Femi. That’s the guy right now.”

Jesse Ventura Ready To Take On Donald Trump In The Ring

Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura is ready to get in the ring with Donald Trump.

The former governor of Minnesota has been a vocal critic of the sitting US president. The wrestling veteran did not mince his words again when he recently appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

He was asked about a 2004 clip where Jesse Ventura had said that we might need a wrestler in the White House in 2008. The 74-year-old explained that he was talking about a real wrestler, and questioned Donald Trump’s place in the WWE Hall of Fame:

“Donald Trump does not belong in the wrestling Hall of Fame. He never earned it. You know what I had to do to get into the pro wrestling Hall of Fame?

At one point in my career I wrestled 63 consecutive nights in a row. That’s how you get into the Hall of Fame. When I was referring to putting a wrestler in the White House, I was talking about me not him!”

Let’s Both Get In The Ring: Jesse Ventura

Jesse Ventura claimed that Trump got in the Hall of Fame because he stopped an investigation against Vince McMahon involving ‘sexual stuff.’ The wrestler-turned-politician then teased working on something that could send him ‘straight to Washington’ for a face-off with Trump. When asked if this showdown will be a physical one, the Vietnam War veteran suggested that he is open to the possibility:

“No, but if he wants it, he’s in the hall of fame. Let’s both get in the ring. He’s in the hall of fame, isn’t he? Even though he’s never, ever had a match.”

The former champion also questioned the legitimacy of the assassination attempt on Trump in July 2024, suggesting that his ear being shot was actually a blade job.

83-year-old WWE Hall of Famer Set For Final Match Next Month

Jimmy Valiant is returning to the ring.

Indie promotion NAWA announced recently that the WWE Hall of Famer will be returning to the ring for one final match at the age of 83. The event dubbed Boogies Last Dance, named after Valiant’s nickname the Boogie Woogie Man, will be taking place from Buford High School Gymnasium in Lancaster, SC on Saturday, April 25.

Commenting on his return, the wrestling veteran mentioned that he has had over 15,000 matches. Though Jimmy Valiant claimed that this will truly be his last dance:

“Yes, this will be my final dance. I’ve retired before but this is truly my last dance. I’m honored to hang up my boots after 62 years of wrestling pro. I had over 15,000 matches and drove 6 million miles on U.S. highways, plus flying getting to those matches.”

Making his wrestling debut in 1964, Jimmy Valiant has shared the ring with the likes of Pedro Morales, Andre The Giant, Bruno Sammartino, and Jerry Lawler in his long wrestling career. Dusty Rhodes also accompanied Jimmy for a match against Paul Jones in a 1984 event titled Boogie Man Jam ’84.

The 83-year-old was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame in 1996, alongside names such as Vince McMahon Sr., Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Killer Kowalski.

Former WWE Producer Releases Statement On Recent Arrest

David Sahadi has released a statement on his arrest.

The former WWE producer was arrested on charges of stalking on February 10 in Hamilton County, TN. Not much is known about the circumstances leading to his arrest, but the veteran producer released a statement on the matter to PWInsider when reached out.

The statement claimed that his arrest was not a result of random criminal behavior and that his accuser has known him for a long time. It also noted that the charges were dismissed and David Sahadi was in the process of suing the accuser for defamation:

“This matter began as a personal dispute between individuals who had known each other for years—this was not random criminal behavior, but a situation that escalated. What followed led to an unjust arrest based on allegations we believe to be false.

The charges were dismissed at pre-trial and are in the process of being expunged. Mr. Sahadi, through counsel, is pursuing a civil action in excess of seven figures for defamation, corporate negligence, and the resulting harm.”

David Sahadi began his WWF stint in October 1992, when he joined the company as Creative Director of On-air Promotions. He headed the production for many famous video packages and vignettes during his 11-year run with the company.

After leaving WWE in July 2003, he joined TNA in 2004 and worked with the company for a total of 19 years in his two stints. He currently works as a producer for Real American Freestyle, after joining the promotion in July 2025.

  • Bad Cow: Chris Jericho Recalls Vince McMahon’s Absurd Rejection To His SummerSlam Pitch

Bad Cow: Chris Jericho Recalls Vince McMahon’s Absurd Rejection To His SummerSlam Pitch

Chris Jericho has revealed the one pitch he thinks should have gotten a better reaction.

The wrestling veteran recently spoke to GamesHub for an interview. He talked about things such as the success of the Judas song, his underrated rivalry with The Rock and more.

During the talk, the former World Champion was asked if there was a pitch in WWE or AEW he made which he thinks did not get the reception it deserved. Chris Jericho recalled the one time he went to Vince McMahon to pitch an angle involving The Wyatt Family and Shawn Michaels. He suggested that the whole thing was doomed from the start, however, because the boss was not alone in his office and he had not eaten yet:

“The idea was a storyline involving Bray Wyatt and Shawn Michaels. The premise was that the Wyatt Family would attack me, and the only person I could call who was crazy enough to have my back was Shawn — even after our rivalry. He comes back to confront me, and just as we’re about to go at it, the Wyatt Family attacks us both. Now you don’t know whether Shawn was going to take my offer or not, but he’s involved.”

The Steak Killed The Whole Angle: Chris Jericho

According to Chris Jericho, it was a solid pitch that would have led to a SummerSlam match, with the Wyatt Family going up against him and Shawn Michaels. When Vince McMahon was eating, however, he did not care for anything else, and so he rejected the whole thing without much consideration:

“Vince just sat there eating his steak, and when I finished, he said, ‘Bad cow.’ I said, ‘What?’ He goes, ‘Bad cow — the steak is tough.’ I said, what do you think of my pitch? He goes, ‘What else you got?’ The steak killed the whole angle. But that’s the nature of working for Vince — if he doesn’t like it, you’re done. Same with Tony, to a degree. You have to please your boss.”

Apart from this, Chris Jericho also revealed the status of his wrestling career amid his prolonged AEW absence. You can check out what he said here.

Brock Lesnar Reveals How He Felt About Breaking Undertaker’s Streak

Brock Lesnar has opened up about breaking the streak.

The Beast Incarnate recently made a rare appearance on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast. He talked about things such as how being a proud father trumps all his other accomplishments, how the WWE locker room environment has changed since he first joined the company, and more.

During the talk, the former World Champion also opened up about one of the most divisive moments of his career – when he broke Undertaker’s famous WrestleMania streak. Brock Lesnar said that Taker is a great guy but explained that at the end of the day it’s a business. According to him, the business revolves around giving and taking, and it was time for him to take:

“Obviously it wasn’t my call to make. At the time, Vince McMahon, if there was a person that could take the streak away with a legitimate background and people could believe it, I guess it was me. There’s a lot of people that are pissed that it’s me, but it’s not my call.”

I Also Felt Bad: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar then discussed Undertaker getting concussed in their WrestleMania 30 match. The former UFC star said that you just have to do the best you can to get through in a situation like that. The 48-year-old also explained that he went to the hospital after their match to make sure Taker was ok because he respected The Dead Man:

“He was a mentor of mine. Like, I worked with Taker for many years. And so now we’re out in this match and Taker got hit left field day of. He’s coming to his [22nd] WrestleMania thinking that he’s going to win and then two hours before we go on, the rug gets pulled on him. And so a lot of different emotions there, I’m sure. I was excited, but I also felt bad too. Like, I’m the guy and I get to be the guy.”

Apart from this, Brock Lesnar opened up about his WrestlePalooza return. The Monster-Sized Athlete suggested his latest WWE run would not be a long one. You can check out his remarks on the matter here.

Brock Lesnar Says He Is Back In WWE Only For A Short Time

Brock Lesnar says he will not be around for long.

The former Champion made a rare appearance on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast recently to discuss all things life and WWE. He touched on topics such as the changed locker room environment, breaking Undertaker’s streak and a lot more.

During the talk, he also discussed his WWE return at WrestlePalooza last year. Brock Lesnar joked that he came back so he can feed his kids and said that he is only going to be around for a short time:

“I went back to work there so I could feed my kids. You guys should see my grocery bill. I had left the company years ago, and I’m grateful that I’m back for a short time here, so I’m really grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve had in my life.”

SummerSlam 2026 is scheduled to take place in Brock’s hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota and there is a belief among some fans that the 48-year-old could end his wrestling career there.

Before that however, he will have to overcome the challenge of Oba Femi. The former NXT Champion has answered The Beast Incarnate’s open challenge and the two monster-sized athletes will now face each other at WrestleMania 42.

Chris Jericho Provides Update On Wrestling Career

    Chris Jericho is not retired.

The former AEW Champion has not been seen in a wrestling ring since April last year, fuelling up all kind of rumors about his status and future in the industry.

Y2J provided a passing update on his career during a recent interview with GamesHub. Chris Jericho was discussing his concern for the current generation of talent over their high-risk working style, and said that he still has some career left:

“What worries me about the guys working today is here I am at 55, 35 years in, with still some career left to go. I don’t know if it’s a year, two years, four years — I’m not sure. But I don’t know how many of the guys working now will have the option to go 35 years. Hopefully all of them.”

The Longevity May Be Harder To Sustain: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho then recalled the first time he got hurt while competing in an event in León, Mexico. The former WWE star revealed that his opponent called Masaka stepped aside instead of catching him during a dive over the top rope. Jericho messed up his arm after landing on the arena chairs, and it was the moment that smartened him up about the risks of the business:

“But you can already see what serious injuries do — a bad neck surgery changes everything. The longevity may be harder to sustain when there’s so much emphasis on the physical at the expense of charisma and character.”

The most recent reports on Jericho’s status suggests that his deal with Tony Khan’s promotion was frozen upon his hiatus. This means that his absence from the company will not automatically result in free agency and there is a chance of the 55-year-old returning to AEW instead of going back to WWE. You can check out more about it here.
