Charlotte Flair shot down a popular fan theory that her matching outfits with Tiffany Stratton were planned, calling the whole thing a coincidence.
The 14-time Women’s Champion ran through several behind-the-scenes moments during a conversation with Ring The Belle, facilitated by SiriusXM Pro Wrestling Nation.
“That was not planned,” Flair said of the viral Chicago segment where she and Stratton both appeared in black. “I was not backstage going, ‘Hey sister, what are you wearing?’ That was all just by chance. Unless someone was spying in my locker room seeing what I was wearing.”
The Lilly Callback
Flair also joked about her dark history with Lilly, the doll associated with Alexa Bliss, treating the storyline beat with a wink.
“Silence of the Lambs-style skinned her, everything,” Flair said. “My boss made me do it. I had no choice in the matter.”
The “uh-oh” promo that became a fan favorite was just as unplanned, born out of a crowd reaction in the moment.
“That was a last-minute addition, because they started doing ‘uh-oh’ with me,” she said. “And had I won, I really could have grabbed them and been like, uh-oh.”
The Tom Holland Mystery
One viral photo still gets brought up. Flair explained how she ended up handing her title to a Hollywood star.
“I met him in Italy or Germany, he was at one of the shows and I got a picture with him when I was the Divas Champion,” Flair said of Tom Holland. “I let him hold it.”
