The American Dragon, Bryan Danielson, became a part of All Elite Wrestling in 2021. He worked as an in-ring competitor until 2024 and transitioned to a commentator role on their flagship show, Dynamite, in 2025.

However, for the last few weeks, the former AEW World Champion has not been seen on television. Despite that, a new report by Fightful Select has stated that Danielson is still very much a part of the Jacksonville-based wrestling company and even contributes creatively to it.

Furthermore, he may have taken time off to give his body a break from the travel. In a past media call, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan said he rotates the Dynamite commentary team between Taz and Bryan Danielson to help them avoid long flights, as their bodies are beaten up from years spent as in-ring competitors.

“In the case of Bryan Danielson and Taz, they both had … very hard-hitting wrestling careers and injuries that beat them up a lot. And I think having these great commentators, I like when they work together on pay-per-view shows or on Dynamite, it’s always great It is interesting because Bryan lives on the West Coast and Taz lives on the East Coast and the long flights really beat them up.

While Bryan Danielson has had a good run as a commentator so far, his in-ring days are looking to be over. However, the American Dragon has hinted multiple times to return to the ring for one-off appearances. So, it will be interesting to see if that happens in AEW soon.
