Popular WWE RAW Star Hints at Retirement Timeline

One of the most popular stars on the WWE Monday Night roster issued a statement that might have hinted at his timeline to retire from in-ring action. He is none other than the man who has the audience chanting for him regularly: LA Knight.

The Megastar appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet to discuss a variety of topics. During the conversation, the former WWE United States Champion made it clear he had no desire to wrestle in his 50s.

The former WWE United States Champion is currently 43 years old and a full-time performer on Monday Night RAW. With his recent statement, it seems he might have 7 more years before closing the chapter on his in-ring career.

LA Knight is one of WWE’s remarkable success stories today. Despite being in an older stage of his life and surrounded by young, highly talented athletes, The Megastar has become one of the most popular stars of this generation.

While he has been wrestling for over two decades, major success did not come to him until the 2020s. It was then that fans really began to rally behind LA Knight, leading him to wrestle top stars, win multiple titles, and even receive an endorsement from a legend like John Cena in 2023.

Moreover, he is among an elite class of top stars like CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton, all in the same age bracket, who are still performing at the highest level in the ring on a regular basis.

LA Knight reveals reason for his loud reactions fizzling out recently

In the same interview, LA Knight touched on the crowd reactions, which were once louder than ever but have fizzled out in recent memory. The Megastar believed that it was due to a lack of proper creative direction for him on television.

“The crazy thing is, there were a lot of people leaning on the idea [that he was] going to be a flavor of the month, that [his popularity] was going to be a passing thing, and here we are 2026, I walk in the ring.

Now you could argue, yeah, maybe the reactions aren’t quite as big as they were at that time — However the reason it’s not as big as it was, is because right now — I don’t have a set trajectory at this moment — So it’s a matter of making sure I’ve got direction, somewhere to go, and somewhere that people care about.”

Despite that, LA Knight is still a top draw for Monday Night RAW. So, we will have to wait and see if the TKO-led regime will harness his talent to its full potential and give him a proper push moving forward.
