  • Shayna Baszler Confirms WWE Producer Report, Talks What\’s Next

Shayna Baszler was cut from WWE in early 2025, but that didn\’t stop her from working backstage during a recent WWE NXT taping. A report, first shared by Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net, claimed Baszler had been listed as a producer for the Kelani Jordan versus Lainey Reid match from the July 8, episode of WWE NXT. On Twitch, Baszler confirmed this to be the case.

\”I happened to be at the (WWE) P.C. working with people and I’m not gonna out the people that requested I work with them.\”

Baszler\’s exit from WWE caught many by surprise given that she had been active on WWE\’s main roster at the time. Reflecting on a possible return to WWE as a producer, the former Women\’s Champion wasn\’t opposed to the idea.

\”The possibility be there? Sure. I would have to decide if I’m ready to be done. But that’s a whole other thing, you know what I mean? I still think I have some stories to tell.\”

For now, Baszler is ready to do more in the ring, and teased a potential move to Japan once her 90-day non compete expires. Whatever comes next, the Queen of Spades is keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

  • Mark Briscoe Recalls Jay\’s Final Message Before 2023 Death

Jay Briscoe was tragically killed in a car accident on January 17, 2023, mere minutes from his home in Laurel, Delaware. Jay\’s death rocked the wrestling world, though nobody was affected quite like his tag-team partner and brother Mark.

In a Player’s Tribune special, Mark revealed that Jay had texted him that morning, though he didn’t see it until later. Rather than share words, Jay let a single image do the talking for him.

\”It was a picture of a rainbow out his back door, off his back patio or whatever. Just a beautiful picture of a rainbow. I think he had posted it online and said, \’God’s showing off this morning.\’\”

Mark recalled being called after the accident. Despite what had happened, at the time, Mark had confidence that his brother would pull through.

“I was in total denial that he might die. That wasn’t even in my brain. It was like, OK, it’s not good. So what, he broke his legs? He’s paralyzed? It wasn’t a ‘Jamin-might-be-dying’ type thing.\”

Tragically, Jay/Jamin would die, though his daughters, who were also in the car at the time of the crash, were able to recover. While Jay Briscoe is no longer with us, the spirit of a brother, father, and friend who found beauty in life remains in the hearts of those who knew him.

  • ECW\’s Francine Reveals Clean Bill of Health After Cancer Scare

ECW legend Francine is celebrating after learning that she does not have cancer despite her fears earlier this year. In June, Francine shared that that a small mass was found in her left breast, leaving many to fear the worst. In an update on X, Francine shared that no cancer was found and was grateful for the support of fans.

This wasn\’t Francine’s first time dealing with a health scare like this. On her Eyes Up Here podcast, she shared that at 21, she had a similar concern with the same breast, resulting in a painful ordeal.

“I just remember them sticking this huge needle into my boob and extracting five to six vials of fluid to test to see if it was cancer and it wasn’t.”

This is fantastic news for Francine, who appeared for WWE NXT when the show was hosted from the ECW Arena in 2024. We at SEScoops are sending our congrats and best wishes to the ECW icon.

  • Gail Kim Responds As TNA President Explains Cutting Hall of Famer

Gail Kim was cut from TNA Wrestling in March 2025, which came as a huge shock to fans and those within the promotion. Guest appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, TNA President Carlos Silva recently explained his mentality behind cutting the TNA Wrestling Hall of Famer.

\”I had to make a couple of hard decisions, not just with Gail, but with a few other staff, to try and maybe reinvigorate what I think was already going well.

\”We kind of got a little more aggressive in making changes we thought we needed to make to reinvigorate the locker room, maybe reinvigorate the Knockouts division, which I think we’ve done.\”

Kim\’s release was met with shock, disbelief, and anger within TNA Wrestling, Fightful Select reported at the time. On X, Kim shared her two cents on being cut from TNA as part of Silva\’s \’reinvigoration\’ tactics.

Kim\’s exit from TNA has sparked speculation about her future, including a potential return to WWE or a move to All Elite Wrestling. Whatever\’s next, Gail Kim will have to witness the Knockouts division she shaped from the very start be \’reinvigorated\’ as an outsider.

  • Charlotte Flair Shuts Down WWE Push Conspiracy Theories

Charlotte Flair has no time for people who have baseless theories when it comes to her push in WWE. While some have speculated that secret reasons are behind her success, Flair believes her success comes from her own skills alone.

During her appearance on the Six Feet Under podcast, Flair addressed fans who spin outlandish theories about her career trajectory in WWE. She playfully mocked the notion that she’s a heartless figure who personally dictates her own storylines, title wins, and bookings.

“I ruin everything. I control my storylines, bookings and title wins. It’s true, it’s in my contract. I need to win that title! People think that for real and the fact that we’re even talking about it, that’s the issue — that these opinions aren’t real but because people have been successful, everyone thinks they can have an opinion. It’s just learning to navigate and overcome it and not even give it any power.”

Many fans have claimed that Charlotte, WWE\’s most decorated woman in history, only received the push she has because of her famous father. With that said, there are countless examples of second-generation wrestlers not going far in wrestling, including Charlotte\’s brother David never having a big break in WWE.

While some may continue to make claims about Charlotte\’s success, said success has proven to be undeniable. While Flair hasn\’t held gold in over two years, many believe it\’s a matter of time before a title is around her waist once more.

  • WWE Vs. Jersey Shore: NXT Stars Take On Reality Show Alum

Jersey Shore was a staple of reality TV in the early 2010s, and now some of the Superstars of WWE have run afoul of the show\’s alum. Things began when WWE NXT Heritage Cup Champion Stacks listed \’The Situation\’ among his potential challengers. This led to a heated back-and-forth on X.

It\’s not just Stacks who has taken issue with an alum from Jersey Shore. On X, Arianna Grace took aim at JWOWW, branding her a \”Trash act,\” while she is nothing but class.

During the heights of Jersey Shore, Snooki appeared for WWE and even scored a win in six-person tag-team action at WrestleMania 27 in 2011. With WWE being open to celebrity appearances and matches, a mixed-tag match in WWE NXT could come soon enough.

  • WWE Star To Have Cameo Role In James Gunn\’s Superman [Spoilers]

James Gunn\’s new Superman is ready to take off and will land in cinemas later this month, giving moviegoers a fresh take on the iconic Man of Steel. The film features a cast including David Corenswet (Superman/Clark Kent), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), but will also feature one of WWE\’s top names.

According to MovieWeb, John Cena\’s Peacemaker will be a part of the DCEU. The platform reports that Peacemaker, aka Christopher Smith, appears on a television during the film, trash-talking David Cornswet\’s Superman. Season 2 of \”Peacemaker\” is set to premiere on August 21 on HBO Max.

Cena debuted as Peacemaker, a jingoistic, often hypocritical lover of peace, during 2021\’s The Suicide Squad. The character proved to be a stand-out hit for fans, and his first season on MAX also proved to be a hit, cementing another major role for the \’Unseen Seventeen.\’

In WWE, Cena is preparing to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam, a rematch of their WrestleMania encounter. With this year\’s show being the first two-night SummerSlam, fans can expect plenty from John, both in and out of the ring.

  • Bray Wyatt Story Coming to WWE 2K25 With Never-Before-Seen Content

WWE 2K25 will be pulling on heartstrings with an upcoming storyline tribute that explores the legacy of the Wyatt Family. On Tuesday, July 8, the official WWE Games account teased the upcoming addition with a cryptic post hinting at major developments.

Additional details emerged from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, who reported that 2K considers this their most emotionally powerful narrative to date. This mode will also include previously unused Bray Wyatt material and include full-length video content from both Uncle Howdy and Bo Dallas.

WWE 2K25 launched in early 2025 and boasts the largest roster of any wrestling video game in history. Since then, several DLC bundles have been released, giving fans access to an even greater number of Superstars and legends.

Though Bray Wyatt sadly passed in 2023, his legacy lives on to this day. Now, fans will get to experience more from the former WWE Champion as part of WWE 2K25.

  • Randy Orton Admits Nervousness During Infamous WWE Raw Segment

In 2009, Randy Orton was arguably at his most evil, and one of his most infamous moments saw him handcuff Triple H and DDT Stephanie McMahon during an episode of Raw. While Orton appeared confident, even sealing his twisted act with a kiss on McMahon, he was actually a bag of nerves.

At 324 million views and counting, the segment is one of WWE\’s most-watched videos on YouTube. When the topic came up during McMahon\’s \’What\’s Your Story\’ podcast, Orton opened up on how he felt at the time.

\”I was in my twenties, and I was so nervous. And so, not really realizing how cool of a moment it would have eventually been.\”

The segment remains legendary to this day, despite Orton\’s nerves. On the podcast, he shared that he was hoping at the time that the segment would go too long, forcing WWE to pull it from the broadcast. Talking about the \’Iss-K\’ as he felt uncomfortable recalling the kiss, Orton said the whole thing was \”super awkward\” for him.

Orton may have stood tall on the night, but Triple H got his payback, beating the Viper at WrestleMania 25 to retain the WWE Championship. While Orton and the Game have been both allies and enemies since then, kissing Stephanie is an act Randy is happy to leave in the past.

  • Latest On AEW\’s Gaming Strategy After Fight Forever

AEW made its entry into the video game world with AEW Fight Forever which after several delays, hit shelves in mid-2023. Although the game received mixed reviews, fans remain curious about whether AEW will release more games.

Mike Straw of Insider Gaming recently shared on X that talks regarding AEW’s next gaming ventures are gaining momentum. This time, however, AEW reportedly plans to avoid announcing projects too early — a lesson learned from the rollout of Fight Forever.

AEW has reportedly been searching for a new development partner for upcoming projects and is expected to part ways with Yukes. Tony Khan has also confirmed that more AEW video games are indeed in the pipeline.

It\’s unclear when the next announcement about AEW video games will come, but Tony Khan\’s company isn\’t out of the gaming world just yet. With WWE going strong with its WWE 2K franchise, time will tell how AEW responds with future titles.

  • WWE Joining Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios (Report)

WWE is stepping into spooky season in a major way with reports of a major crossover with one of the most iconic horror attractions in the United States. According to Fightful Select, WWE is planning a full integration into Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights later this year. An official announcement is expected before the end of the month for the collaboration that has reportedly been in development since late 2024.

Halloween Horror Nights is a major fall attraction, known for its haunted houses, scare zones, and immersive walk-through experiences. WWE is no stranger to chills and scares with horrifying Superstars such as The Undertaker, the Wyatt Sicks, Kane, and many more.

The annual event runs from August 29 to November 2 at Universal Studios Orlando. WWE won’t be alone in this year’s nightmare-fueled roster. Other IPs confirmed for the event include Jason Voorhees and Fallout, promising a mix of horror and gaming thrills.

With WWE diving deeper into the eerie and macabre this fall, fans can expect more than just slams and suplexes — they’re in for scream-worthy moments in the dark.

  • MJF: WWE Trying to Stomp Out AEW Is Smart Strategy

AEW and WWE have never shied away from going head-to-head, often forcing fans to choose which show to support on the night. While some fans believe WWE is wrong to schedule shows against AEW, MJF has made it clear that he sees it as a savvy business move.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, MJF was asked whether WWE running head-to-head events gives him more motivation. Rather than be outraged, MJF admitted that WWE\’s alleged counter-programming simply makes sense.

\”I think it’s a smart business practice. I give jolly old St. Nick and Trips a whole lot of credit. At the end of the day, if you can stomp out your competition, you’re doing what is necessary. Lord knows I would.\”

MJF pointed fun at WWE scheduling programming to run the same time against AEW, despite many insisting AEW isn\’t competition to WWE. What some may brush off as coincident, MJF believes is certainly not accidental.

“Everyone is judging them for it. I think that’s silly. Don’t judge them for it, but also, don’t be stupid. They’re not doing this by happenstance.\”

The two companies may offer differing takes on pro-wrestling, but they\’ve often gone one-on-one. Examples include:

    • AEW’s Dynamite debuted on TNT on October 2, 2019, directly competing with WWE’s NXT on USA Network each Wednesday night. AEW largely won the ratings battle until NXT moved to Tuesdays in April 2021.
    • An overrun edition of SmackDown was extended into FS1 and aired simultaneously with AEW’s Rampage in October 2021, an explicit move to draw viewers away.
    • WWE NXT destroyed AEW Dynamite when the two sides battled in October 2023, thanks in part to a stacked show of present NXT talent and legends.
    • NXT Battleground, a WWE premium event, was held opposite AEW’s flagship Double or Nothing. AEW’s Tony Khan later labeled it the most consistent counter-programming since the Jim Crockett era.
    • WWE scheduled Saturday Night\’s Main Event on NBC and the Great American Bash Premium Live Event on Peacock the same day AEW hosted All In: Texas later this week.

Whether fans see these head-to-head battles as strategic or petty, MJF clearly respects the move from a business perspective.

  • MJF Slams Hulk Hogan For Harming Wrestler Credibility In Acting

MJF is finding his footing in Hollywood with a small role in The Iron Claw and will have a much more significant part in Happy Gilmore 2. While MJF is the latest name from wrestling to crossover into acting, he believes Hulk Hogan made things difficult for many wrestlers.

Speaking to TV Insider, MJF was asked whether it’s easier today for pro wrestlers to be taken seriously as actors. While MJF had praise for Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista, and John Cena, he had less than favorable things to say about the Hulkster.

\”You’re watching these guys break this mold that unfortunately Terry Bollea [Hulk Hogan] created by being one of the worst actors of all time with Santa with Muscles, Mr. Nanny, and all that genuine garbage.\”

Hogan would have several movie roles to his name, though his films were hardly massive success stories like what fans have seen from Johnson, Cena, and Bautista. While MJF hopes to see success in Hollywood of his own, he hopes to emulate this trio, and not the Hulkster.

As far as he’s concerned, Hogan’s reputation as a Hollywood performer left a long shadow that others had to overcome—and his opinion on that isn’t likely to change.

  • Fans Rally Behind Karrion Kross After WWE Raw Appearance

Karrion Kross was part of the July 7, 2025, episode of WWE Raw, where he ambushed Sami Zayn before his match. Despite attacking one of WWE\’s most popular stars, Kross was cheered during the show, and that momentum was felt after Raw went off the air.

Once Raw wrapped up, Kross and his wife Scarlett were spotted making their way out of the arena. As countless fans chanted \’We Want Kross,\’ the former NXT Champion and his bride revilled in the support. Kross spoke with several fans, including sharing a touching moment with a young member of the WWE Universe, and signed some autographs.

This video is the latest sign of fan support growing for Kross, despite WWE not giving him many matches on TV, and even fewer victories. Despite his limited time, Kross\’ merch is outselling some of WWE\’s biggest legends, another sign of his undeniable popularity. Many have argued that Kross\’ dedication to do the best he can both in the ring and on social media should be rewarded on TV.

It remains to be seen what\’s next for Karrion Kross, though his issues with Sami Zayn appear far from over. And despite going up against the popular former Intercontinental Champion, Kross will no doubt be on the receiving end of more fan support.

  • LA Knight Confident As WWE SNME Seth Rollins Showdown Nears

LA Knight was full of confidence following the July 7, episode of WWE Raw, after he got the upperhand on Seth Rollins. In the show\’s closing moments, Knight hit a BFT to Rollins, a warning shot ahead of their battle at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

Knight escaped through the crowd before Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker could get to him, but his night wasn\’t finished yet. In a post-match promo, Knight vowed to kick Bron\’s brains (or rather, the little he has left,) out of his head. After throwing a swipe at Bronson Reed, Knight vowed victory in his upcoming showdown with Rollins.

\”None of it matters! Saturday night\’s Main Event! It\’s me, it\’s Seth Rollins. Getting what\’s mine, Seth, getting what\’s coming to him! And what\’s coming to him, how sweet it\’s gonna be! BFTs for ya!\”

For Knight, facing Rollins is another high-profile opportunity, one that could see him return to the World Title picture if victorious. It remains to be seen if Knight or Seth will be standing tall at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • WWE Highlights Ozzy Osbourne After Music Icon\’s Final Performance

In the world of rock music, few names are more iconic than Ozzy Osbourne, who recently gave his final performance. On WWE Raw, Corey Graves gave a shoutout to the Prince of Darkness on behalf of the entire WWE.

Osbourne may be known as a music star, but he is no stranger to the world of WWE. Highlights of his time in wrestling include:

    • Ozzy made his WWE debut at WrestleMania 2 (in Chicago), accompanying The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & The Dynamite Kid) and Captain Lou Albano.
    • His 2007 single “I Don’t Wanna Stop” served as the official theme for WWE’s Judgment Day 2007 PPV. Ozzy delivered a live performance at a SmackDown taping in Baltimore.
    • In 2009, Ozzy and his wife Sharon served as guest hosts on Monday Night Raw, further solidifying his WWE celebrity appeal.
    • In April 2021, Ozzy was inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame. Though he couldn\’t attend in person, he delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech via video.

Ozzy Osbourne’s relationship with WWE spans almost four decades—from managing wrestlers in the ’80s, electrifying live TV performances, hosting segments. With that in mind, it\’s only fitting that WWE gave a shout-out to the Prince of Darkness following his retirement.

  • Roxanne Perez Creates Memorial For Injured Liv Morgan on WWE Raw

Roxanne Perez has been aligning herself with the Judgment Day in recent weeks, seemingly in an effort to replace the injured Liv Morgan. On the July 7, edition of WWE Raw, Perez even went as far as to erect a memorial to Morgan within the Judgment Day clubhouse.

Perez\’s memorial did not go down well with everyone in the faction. Raquel Rodriguez was against the memorial, pointing out that Liv is still alive. Perez stated that she crafted the memorial for Dominik Mysterio.

Perez has wasted no time in replacing Liv in the faction. On the June 30, episode of WWWE Raw, Perez officially replaced Morgan as one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. She has also been shown getting close to Dominik Mysterio, with some fans speculating that the pair may be more than \’just friends.\’

As for Morgan, she successfully underwent surgery on her injured shoulder on June 28, and there\’s no word on when she\’ll be back. In the meantime, Perez will remain part of WWE TV, and continue to grow closer to Liv\’s faction.

  • Paul Heyman Claims Roman Reigns Is Scared To Return Amid WWE Absence

Roman Reigns won\’t be seen in WWE again, at least according to Paul Heyman, who has claimed that OTC is too afraid to return to the squared circle. Reigns hasn\’t appeared since the Raw after WrestleMania 41, one night after he and CM Punk lost to Seth Rollins thanks to Heyman aligning with the latter.

When Heyman grabbed the mic on the July 7, edition of WWE Raw, the arena was flooded with chants for Roman Reigns. Heyman dismissed the crowd’s chants, declaring that Roman Reigns doesn’t “have the balls” to confront this new era.

Heyman\’s fiery comments have left fans intrigued as to when Reigns will return, with some speculating that it could come as soon as Saturday Night\’s Main Event this weekend. Whatever\’s next, Reigns will have his work cut out against the might of Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed.

  • El Grande Americano \’Returns\’ On WWE Raw

The July 7, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw saw El Grande Americano return to the ring, though fans may have noticed something different about the luchador. During the show\’s second hour, Anericano defeated Dragon Lee.

Throughout the match, Michael Cole questioned if the man in the El Grande Americano mask was the same man fans have been watching since the character\’s debut earlier this year. While Cole pointed out that Americano no longer has tattoos, Corey Graves argued that the luchador had had them removed that morning. Cole also noted how small Americano\’s mask looked on him, and Graves said he wore it snugly so it didn\’t slip off mid-match.

It has been reported that El Grande Americano is being portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser, who is filling in for the injured Chad Gable. The Olympian has been portraying the character since its introduction in February, but recently underwent surgery. While Gable is keeping himself active out of the ring, there\’s no word on when fans can expect him back as El Grande Americano.

Americano 2 got the win by using the character\’s patented steel plate in the mask. It remains to be seen whether the two Americano\’s ever come face to face.

  • Becky Lynch Joins FX Comedy Movers In Latest Acting Role

Becky Lynch is stepping out of the ring and into the world of comedy, landing a major TV role as The Man continues to expand outside of wrestling. According to Deadline, Lynch has officially joined the cast of FX’s new workplace comedy pilot Movers. The project comes from Reno 911! creators Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim, who will also star.

Movers centers on the chaotic, codependent lives of a moving crew, with much of the dialogue expected to be improvised. Lynch joins an ensemble cast that includes Maz Jobrani (Friday After Next), Darius Homayoun (Sex/Life), Tanael “TJ” Joachim, and Manny Montana (Ironheart).

This is the latest notable role for Lynch outside the confines of the Squared Circle. Past credits include roles in Billions, stunt work on Vikings, and portraying Cyndi Lauper in NBC’s Young Rock. Looking to the future, Lynch is set to appear in Happy Gilmore 2, premiering July 25 on Netflix, and has also been cast in Alex Kurtzman’s Star Trek project for Paramount+.

As Lynch continues to expand her resume beyond the squared circle, the big question is whether her acting career will start to take center stage. Whatever\’s next for the WWE Women\’s Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch will not be a hard woman to miss.

  • Jim Ross Wishes CM Punk Was Still With AEW

CM Punk\’s tumultuous tenure with AEW came to an end in September 2023, just over two years after his grandiose debut/return to pro wrestling. Though Punk was pivotal to plenty of controversy during his run, Jim Ross wishes that the Best in the World was \’All-Elite\’ to this day.

On his Grilling JR podcast, Ross defended CM Punk\’s new viewpoint about Saudi Arabia, arguing that people ultimately change their mind as years go by. Ross followed up by sharing his desire that Punk had never been fired from AEW.

\”He’s controversial, that’s why he’s so fun to follow. Phil’s a good friend of mine. I am a full-on supporter of his work, I really am; I still wish he was at AEW, quite frankly. He adds a lot to any presentation that he’s involved in.\”

Punk was fired following his second AEW suspension in under a year, this time for his fight with Jack Perry backstage at AEW All In: London 2023. The incident left Tony Khan \’fearing for his life\’ as he told a live Chicago crowd, ahead of the following week\’s All Out pay-per-view.

Punk has since returned to WWE where he has been incident-free behind the scenes. While Punk\’s days appearing for AEW are seemingly behind him for good, Jim Ross can\’t help but wish Punk was working in AEW to this day.

  • MJF & Hammerstone Reunite In AEW-MLW Crossover

MJF may be a leading name in AEW, but the former World Champion hasn\’t forgotten his roots. In a recent video shared by Major League Wrestling, AEW made a surprise appearance to reunite with Hammerstone. The pair would spend a year as part of \’The Dynasty\’ in MLW, alongside Richard Holliday.

This reunion was not just a blast from the past, but perhaps a tease of things to come. MJF appeared at MLW\’s recent Summer of Beasts event, where he attacked Mistico. And with reports that Hammerstone has been backstage at AEW recently, fans can\’t count out seein the self-proclaimed \”Dynasty Bros\” doing more together soon enough.

In the meantime, MJF will continue to be part of AEW, where he is aligned with The Hurt Syndicate. But should the MVP-led faction ever oust MJF, the devil may not be without an ally for long.

  • Teil Rhodes, Bully Ray Speak Up Over All In Credit Snub

The 2018 All In event was a landmark moment in professional wrestling, ultimately laying the groundwork for the formation of AEW in 2019. Now, some pivotal names from behind the scenes are seeking the recognition, and royalties, they believe they deserve.

It started when a fan on X reminded everyone that Teil Rhodes, the sister of Cody and Dustin, was the one who named the event, a name AEW has used for it\’s biggest annual event in recent years. Teil responded with a pointed comment, suggesting it’s typical for a Rhodes to contribute significantly to wrestling history without seeing proper benefit.

Her post sparked further conversation, including a response from Bully Ray. The WWE/TNA Hall of Famer understood her frustration, claiming he booked the entire Battle Royale at All In 2018 but received no credit.

While Teil’s remarks may have been delivered with some tongue-in-cheek, her comment highlights the legacy that her family has in shaping pivotal wrestling moments. With AEW All In: Texas mere days away, it remains to be seen if Teil, and Bully Ray, ever see the credit they believe they are due.
