  • Big E: Nights Like Evolution 2 Reminds Us Why We Love Wrestling

Big E had plenty of praise following WWE Evolution 2, especially for the epic main event between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. In the closing match of the night, the pair held nothing back in their Women\’s World Championship showdown and battled both in and out of the ring. On the post-show, Big E had the following to say.

“This industry is one that will often break your heart, it will disappoint you, it will sometimes have you questioning why you still watch wrestling, nights like tonight remind you, they make you feel something — Thank you Rhea Ripley. Thank you IYO SKY — What they did here tonight, left us with something truly special that I will not forget for a very, very long time.”

Despite the efforts of both SKY and Ripley, neither woman left Evolution 2 standing tall. That honor instead went to Naomi, who cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win the Women\’s World Championship. This title win marks Naomi\’s first singles gold since 2017.

Despite neither woman leaving Evolution with gold, both Ripley and SKY can hold their heads high as their efforts did not go unnoticed. Whether it\’s Big E or the wider fanbase, the efforts of those in the main event have to be respected.

  • Naomi: Women\’s World Title Win Validates My Return To WWE

At WWE Evolution, Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to capture the Women\’s World Championship, her first singles title since returning to WWE in January 2024. Speaking on the post-show, Naomi reflected on her return to WWE and how this victory validates the decision to come back.

\”It\’s everything. Me returning, I wanted to be better, do better, become better. And I think this solidifies that and proves that.\”

Naomi walked out of WWE in May 2022 due to creative frustrations, and would carve a path for herself as a Knockout in TNA Wrestling. When asked what she learned duyring her time away, Naomi wasn\’t short of answers.

\”I learned so much about myself, about the business, about confidence and honestly about just continuing to keep going. You never know what can happen in this business.\”

Naomi\’s return to WWE has seen ups and downs, but now she\’s riding high as the Women\’s World Champion. Whether it\’s a short reign or a long reign, nobody can take away the fact that Naomi was the one standing tall when WWE Evolution went off the air.

  • Ric Flair Names His Favorite Female WWE Star, It Isn\’t Charlotte

Ric Flair understandably has a soft spot for his daughter Charlotte, but a post on X from the Nature Boy has taken fans by surprise. Ahead of WWE Evolution 2, Flair spoke about the Four Horsewomen\’s efforts taking women\’s wrestling to the next level, before naming Alexa Bliss, not Charlotte, as his favorite woman today.

“Congrats to all the women participating in the Women’s Evolution matches tonight! This is the first time this has taken place since 2018! It will be a night to showcase all of the talented women in WWE. The Queen’ Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks (Mercedes Moné) started the Women’s Revolution and look where they are now!

\”In my opinion, their greatness, talent, dedication, and commitment to being the best in the business has put the male talent on notice. Congratulations! I have enjoyed every minute of knowing you and watching you perform. Kick ass tonight, ladies! Oh, and it would be remiss of me if I didn’t mention my favorite — Alexa Bliss. WOOOOO!”

Bliss and Charlotte have been allies on WWE TV in recent weeks, and competed in tag team action at WWE Evolution 2. Though the pair didn\’t leave as Women\’s Tag Team Champions, they did deliver as part of WWE\’s second-ever women\’s PLE.

As for Ric, it remains to be seen when he will appear for WWE again, as he has wrapped up his time with AEW. Whatever\’s next for the Nature Boy, he\’s keeping a close eye on WWE\’s women\’s division.

  • Rumor Killer On Seth Rollins Money in the Bank Cash-In Plans

Seth Rollins suffered an injury at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event during his match with LA Knight, in a major set back for Mr. Money in the Bank. Though some believed this forced WWE to nix a cash-in attempt, that isn\’t the case.

Fightful Select reports that WWE had no intention of booking a cash-in by Rollins on either GUNTHER or Goldberg during the event. The only alteration to the original lineup was LA Knight\’s victory in the match Rollins was upported to win.

Rollins has held the Money in the Bank briefcase for over a month now, and this marks his second time holding the case. Whatever plan WWE has for his cash-in attempt, it was never supposed to come at Money in the Bank.

At this time, details remain scarce about Rollins\’ injury, and fans will have to wait and see when Seth Rollins can return to in-ring competition. The timing of his injury is especially unfortunate, with SummerSlam fast approaching.

  • Tony Khan Shares Update On Adam Cole\’s Health Setback

Ahead of AEW All In: Texas, Adam Cole vacated the AEW TNT Championship due to a health setback. During the pay-per-view, Cole spoke from the heart and admitted that it may be the last time he addresses the fans as a professional wrestler.

During the AEW All In: Texas post-show media scrum, Tony Khan addressed the situation. Khan shared that news of Cole\’s health issues came out at the last minute, and plans had been in place for him to compete.

\”Yesterday we were absolutely planning, even last night when I was at ROH Supercard of Honor, we were planning for the pay-per-view. We had absolutely put everything in place for Adam Cole to defend the TNT Title against Kyle Fletcher.\”

Even after AEW Collision, Cole had been scheduled to compete and felt able to do so. Unfortunately, that didn\’t end up happening.

\”Somewhere between late last night and earlier this morning, we talked and he wasn’t feeling well. And that’s the unpredictable nature of some of these kinds of injuries, and I think it’s important that Adam Cole takes time to get right. Right now, there’s no clear idea of when Cole will be able to wrestle or even speak to fans again.\”

This health issue is the latest in several setbacks for Adam Cole, who had to miss a year of AEW action due to an injury. We at SEScoops are wishing Adam Cole a full and speedy recovery.

During the closing moments of the match, Rollins appeared to suffer some kind of leg injury and collapsed into the corner, clutching his knee. After a few moments of hesitation, Knight would hit his BFT to get the win. Rollins was tended to by medical staff both before and after the finish.

A potential injury to Rollins would be an awful thing for WWE, who would lose one of their very top Superstars. The fact that Rollins is the current Mr. Money in the Bank throws another wrench into plans, and an injury could force WWE to change course.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Seth Rollins as we hope to get an update on the condition on the former WWE World Champion.

Since being released from WWE, Shotzi Blackheart has redefined herself as the \’Indy God,\’ a moniker that Matt Cardona has been using since his own WWE exit in 2020. After brawls, ambushes, and legal documents, the two finally met in the ring with one person left standing tall.

At GCW\’s Boss of All Bosses, the pair finally met in the ring. Despite nursing a broken hand suffered at the hands of Cardona, Shotzi held nothing back. Blackheart arrived in an Indiana Jones inspired attire, a motif that Cardona has previously used.

Shotzi overcame her injury to defeat Cardona, seemingly cementing herself as the one, true Indy God. Her night was far from over though, as after her match, she made her way to a House of Glory Wrestling event. Sol Ruca, who has been turning heads in NXT, made a high-profile appearance on SmackDown. Though not an official main roster call-up, Ruca, who was joined by Zaria, certainly made an impression in her first match on the main roster.

Ruca competed in a four-way match against Alexa Bliss, Kairi Sane, and Roxanne Perez during the show’s first hour. The fast-paced, competitive match spanned a commercial break, giving each competitor a moment to shine. At one point, Ruca hit a double Soul Snatcher, vowing fans. This would have earned Ruca the win had Raquel Rodriguez not made the save for Perez.

Zaria would be part of a brawl that would also include Charlotte Flair. In the end though, it was Alexa Bliss who got the win after hitting Sister Abigail on Kairi Sane. Though Ruca didn\’t leave with the victory, her impact in the match can\’t be denied.

“‘The Super Cena era made WWE uncool and something for kids to watch.’ That is Reddit user SR JNP. That’s your perspective, pal. For 25 years, I have been John Cena. That has easily been my longest running persona. But what I’m hearing is the perspective of a group of folks that probably didn’t like the performances I was giving.”

Today, fans are seeing a much different John Cena, one who has vowed to \’ruin wrestling\’ by retiring as WWE Champion. With a title match against Cody Rhodes set for SummerSlam, Cena hopes to anger fans once more, this time on purpose.
