WWE NXT struggled to keep the momentum of its recent Great American Bash event, resulting in the silver brand reaching an unfortunate milestone in its programming. Programming Insider reports that WWE NXT on July 15th drew 586,000 viewers on the CW Network. This marks a significant drop from the 659,000 viewers who tuned in the previous week.
The July 15, number is the lowest WWE NXT has hit since July 2024, and this is not the only unfortunate stat. The show scored a 0.12 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, down from the 0.16 demo rating last Tuesday. This 0.12 is the lowest rating in the coveted demo since March 2023.
WWE NXT\’s shortcomings can\’t entirely be blamed on the show itself. The episode faced stiff competition the MLB All-Star Game on Fox, which drew 7.185 million viewers and a 1.43 demo rating. WWE has often struggled when going against other sports, with WWE Raw often being hit hard during Football season.
John Cena has vowed to leave WWE as champion, forcing the company to create a new \’toy\’ for Superstars to battle over. If that happens, WWE will lose pover six decades of history and legacy associated with the real WWE Championship, a threat Cody Rhodes isn\’t taking lightly.
Speaking to the Boston Herald, Rhodes acknowledged Cena\’s status as one of the greatest to ever grace a WWE ring. Rhodes can\’t help but speculate as to what WWE will be forced to do if John\’s vow to ruin wrestling comes to fruition.
\”John Cena is the greatest champion in wrestling history. It’s foolish to think he’s handing out any torches. He wants to go out like a warrior, or he will leave with the title, then we’ll have to have some silly tournament or something that I can prevent here and now.\”
Cody, who lost the title to John at WrestleMania, has a chance to make things right at SummerSlam. After winning the King of the Ring crown, Rhodes will challenge Cena at the August PLE, a match that he knows won\’t be easy.
\”You have to beat him to grab that torch. Hit him where the ref can count to 100 if he wants. It honors his legacy to give him that as a warrior.\”
WWE SummerSlam 2025 is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, at MetLife Stadium. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Rhodes\’ road to redemption.
Brian Cage is recovering from double knee surgery—but that’s not slowing him down. The AEW star is also making a major leap into Hollywood with a role in an upcoming Steven Spielberg film.
Speaking to The Magic of Wrestling, Cage shared how Chavo Guerrero reached out with an opportunity to star in a wrestling-themed TV show. When that project stalled however, Guerrero put Cage\’s name forward for a new movie and quickly caught the attention of producers.
“I get an email: ‘Hey, I just sat down and watched all your stuff with the director. He absolutely loves you. He thinks you’re perfect. He knows everything about you—your look, your charisma, your personality. He wants to offer you the role.’”
Cage was excited about the correspondence but had no clue who the director who thinks he is \”perfect\” actually was. When he reached out to find out, he learned that one of Hollywood\’s biggest names is now a fan of his.
\”I call the guy… and he goes, ‘Stephen said this, Stephen said that.’ And I go, ‘Stephen?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, the director. It’s Steven Spielberg.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, oh sh*t.’”
When asked if there was anyone he’d like to work with on the film, Cage didn’t hesitate to name his AEW tag partner, Lance Archer. The two reportedly filmed scenes together before Cage’s injury. The movie is currently slated for a June 2026 release, though that date may still shift.
Jim Ross has revealed that he’s currently recovering from a bad fall that occurred during AEW All In: Texas weekend. Despite this setback, Ross was able to make a return to AEW programming after a break from TV to battle colon cancer.
Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross shared that the incident happened on Thursday night before the event. The situation was made worse by the fact that he was unable to call for help.
“I had a bad fall on Thursday night in my hotel room. And I was lucky. I wasn’t down for the count, but I had a hell of a fall and soft tissue… I didn’t break anything, I don’t think, but I had a bad fall in my hotel room, and I didn’t have my phone.\”
Ross added that he didn\’t suffer any broken bones, but he has been left dealing with soft tissue damage and lingering soreness. At 72, Ross is aware that his body doesn\’t heal like it used to, though he remains optimistic.
\”Still sore, to this very minute, I’m still sore. So it was quite the ordeal. That’s the only negative thing I could say is that I had a bad fall, and I survived it… The older you get, the slower you heal. And that’s kind of my situation right now.\”
Despite the injury, Ross returned to the commentary desk just two days later at AEW All In, where he called the high-profile bout between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada. We at SEScoops are continuing to wish the AEW commentator a full and speedy recovery.
Ron Killings\’ feud with John Cena is far from over, despite the Undisputed WWE Champion\’s career in the ring nearing its end. Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Killings reflected on working with Cena this year, and hasn\’t given up on the \’Unseen Seventeen.\’
“Oh, it ain’t over. He got to turn back who he was. He hurt people’s hearts. That’s right. You just asked me the good stuff about him. He betrayed people, dog. He betrayed you, me, us, them, everybody, man.
“So he’s taking me on that roller coaster just like he’s taking everybody else. I need John back. Not for me, but for my sanity. For the sanity of R-Truth. So it ain’t over yet with him.”
Killings played a key role in Cena retaining at WWE Backlash: St. Louis, only to eat an AAA from Cena for his troubles. Killings faced John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May, followed by a match on SmackDown last month.
Right now, Cena is preparing for Cody Rhodes, who earned a title match at SummerSlam by winning the King of the Ring tournament. Though a WrestleMania rematch is looming for Cena, Killings is keeping a close eye on the WWE GOAT as his career continues to wind down.
The July 16 episode of AEW Dynamite took place at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois and dealt with the fallout from last week\’s All In: Texas pay-per-view. During that show, the Young Bucks lost their tag team match against Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, and in the process, lost their status as AEW EVPs.
During Dynamite, the former EVPs were clearly unhappy with their new circumstances. They arrived via a standard Lyft instead of their usual limo and were downgraded to a modest locker room, far from the executive treatment they once received.
Stripped of their EVP titles! The @youngbucks have arrived!
In the ring, the Bucks teamed with Josh Alexander and Hechicero in an All-Star 8-Man Tag Team Match against ROH World Champion Bandido, JetSpeed, and Brody King. Their usual entrance video was replaced with a crudely styled alternative—seemingly created in MS Paint. Ring announcer Justin Roberts appeared to take pleasure in emphasizing their demotion during the introductions as he nixed their usual introductions with their full names.
Looks like the crew are having a bit of fun at the expense of The @YoungBucks!
Despite these changes, Don Callis seems to be aligning himself with the Bucks once again, hinting at potential developments to come. For now, though, the Young Bucks appear to be sliding down the AEW hierarchy.
“When I landed, I felt my knee kind of pop and buckle. Monday, I was in Birmingham, Alabama where our specialists were at. We took a look at the knee through imaging. It was a little too swollen, so we’ll take another look hopefully in a week or two so that we can get a firm diagnosis and go from there.\”
Rollins admitted his medical knowledge is limited, but he’s certain he’ll be out of action for an extended period. Despite being one of WWE’s most prominent names, Rollins acknowledged the show must go on without him.
\”This is gonna have me out for an extended period of time. We were talking off air earlier, it is a bummer, but our business moves on. It isn’t the first time I was injured, it’s not the last time.\”
While Rollins is down, he\’s by no means out. Instead, Mr. Money in the Bank is already thinking about what he\’ll be doing next April at WrestleMania 42.
\”I’ve always got WrestleMania in the back of my mind. I’m like, can I make it back for WrestleMania season? I feel good about that, but beyond a firm timeline, I just don’t know until we get a better answer on the MRI. So that’s where it’s at.\”
Questions remain about Rollins’ status within WWE, including the future of the Money in the Bank contract while he is incapacitated. For now, Rollins’ focus is on recovery and returning in time for the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Damian Priest’s path to the top was by no means easy, as he had to come to terms with several self-imposed issues holding him back. During a revealing interview on WFAN with Sal Licata, the 42-year-old champion opened up about the pivotal moment that transformed his life forever.
\”I used to run a club in Atlantic City and I was set up. I mean, I didn\’t have anything. I had nothing saved, no nothing to my name. But because of the job, I had a free apartment on the boardwalk in AC. I had a company vehicle, so I had a car, you know, and I had a job.
\”And they wanted to give me more responsibility. And they wanted me to stop, you know, doing that. And this is quoting the owner at the time. He said, \’I want you to stop doing that wrestling thing you do sometimes on the weekends.\’\”
With a decent job to his name, one that wouldn\’t require painful bumps, many would have accepted this request. Instead, Priest realized the importance of chasing a dream.
\”For whatever reason that day, it hit me a different way. And I was like, \’Uh, you have my two weeks notice.\’\”
That decision left Priest essentially homeless, but it also sparked a transformation that saw him lose over 200 pounds and completely reshape his mindset. The journey wasn\’t just physical—it was deeply personal.
\”At the time, I was so miserable with myself that I treated others horribly. I look back now and I think about how I treated people, how I talked to people. Um, man, you talk about having regrets. That\’s my biggest regret was being a bad person to other people for no reason.\”
The transformation required what Priest called radical honesty with himself. For the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he realized that there was no easy solution to his dilemma, and he would only succeed through hard work.
\”I had to start being honest. And the moment I did that, you realize how many times you don\’t want to give that answer. So, you actually work hard.\”
Now, as he prepares for SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium, Priest\’s story serves as proof that it\’s never too late to start over—no matter how far you\’ve fallen.
In an industry obsessed with finding the new young prospect, Damian Priest didn\’t capture his first WWE championship until age 42—and he\’s the first to admit that makes him an anomaly. Speaking to WFAN with Sal Licata, Priest reflected on reaching his peak in WWE at a time many are eyeing retirement.
\”Yes. Like there\’s others, don\’t get me wrong. But it\’s not as common. So 100% it\’s definitely on the rare side.\”
Priest’s journey to the top defies conventional wrestling wisdom. After 20 years in the business, including stints in Ring of Honor and on the independent circuit, he’s achieved more in five WWE years than many wrestlers do in their entire careers.
\”It\’s crazy the amount that\’s happened in five years, but it feels like I\’ve been here way longer.\”
The key to his breakthrough wasn\’t physical ability or fresh storylines—it was learning to be authentic. Priest credits Triple H with giving him career-defining advice that echoes mentorship from The Undertaker.
\”My boss Triple H came up to me one day and he was like, \’The day you stop trying to pretend to be you and you\’re just you, you\’re going to make a lot of money in this business.\’ He goes, \’Undertaker told me the same advice.\’\”
Priest acknowledged that there is some irony to this rallying cry for authenticity, given how wrestlers are often instructered to play larger-than-life characters.
\”And he [Triple H] goes, \’I know it\’s weird, right? Because how am I how\’s somebody telling you how to be yourself that you\’re not being yourself like you know you?\’ And he goes, \’But one day it will click.\’ And sure enough, one day it just did.\”
That authenticity breakthrough came during a match with Finn Balor in NXT, leading to his main roster call-up and eventual championship success. The lesson extends beyond wrestling—sometimes the best version of yourself emerges when you stop trying to be what others expect.
Priest is hardly the first WWE World Champion to win gold despite being past what many would consider \’the prime.\’ The very first WWE Champion, Buddy Rogers, was also 42 when he won the gold, as was Ric Flair when he first won the WWE Championship in 1992. Bobby Lashley\’s second run with WWE saw him capture the WWE Title on Raw\’s March 1, 2021 episode, winning the gold at 44 years old.
As Priest prepares for SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium, his story offers hope to performers across all industries who feel they\’ve missed their window. In a business that often prioritizes youth over experience, the 42-year-old champion proves that sometimes the best things come to those who wait—and work—for their authentic moment.
Carlos Silva serves as the President of TNA Wrestling, but don\’t count out seeing him get physical on screen. While speaking to My Mom’s Basement in a new interview, Silva was asked if he will join the litany of real-life owners who have taken bumps in the name of entertainment.
\”Right now, the biggest part of the character I’ve been is, is being who I am, which is the president of TNA ringside supporting or doing whatever, whatever I need to do support. But I guess, you never say never with these things.\”
If Silva does take bumps on TNA programming, he won\’t be the first higher-up in wrestling to put their body on the line. Vince McMahon repeatedly took bumps while running WWE while Dixie Carter would take bumps on rare occasion in TNA. In 2024, AEW President Tony Khan was attacked by the Elite, adding his name to this unique list.
Silva joined TNA as the company\’s president in 2024, months after the controversial termination of the popular Scott D\’Amore. Whether Silva takes bumps or not, time will tell, but fans know to \”never say never\” in the world of pro wrestling.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw Seth Rollins sustaining an injury that will be keeping Mr. Money in the Bank on the shelf for the forseeable future. Now, WWE is without one of the very top stars on its roster mere weeks away from their annual SummerSlam event.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE initially intended for Seth Rollins to face Roman Reigns in a major singles match at SummerSlam. That direction had been clearly signaled through recent promos and storyline developments, but now has to be scrapped due to Rollins\’ injury.
On WWE Raw, the promotion is seemingly pivoting to Reigns vs. Bron Breakker, or a tag-team match pitting Reigns and Jey Uso against Breakker and Bronson Reed. Reigns made his return to TV by attacking both men and protecting his cousin.
The closing segment of Saturday Night’s Main Event was also reportedly impacted. While there was no planned cash-in for Rollins that night, the injury disrupted a significant angle WWE had in place, as well as plans for Rollins to beat LA Knight at the NBC special.
Reigns has yet to be formally slotted into a SummerSlam match but his return so close to the event strongly implies a role on the show. Whatever WWE has planned for the OTC1, it won\’t involve his former ally turned fierce rival.
AEW All In: Texas took place over the weekend, and according to a new report, backstage morale is riding high following the event. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that talent backstage were “very, very happy” with how the show.
Dave Meltzer noted there’s a strong sense within AEW that the company has “turned things around\” after a series of challenging years for the promotion. The report adds that AEW “peaked for a big show,” suggesting a significant positive shift in momentum.
All In: Texas was AEW\’s first stadium event in the United States and saw several huge moments. In addition to Cope and Christian Cage aligning and Bryan Danielson\’s return, the main event saw Hangman Adam Page capture the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.
AEW now turns its attention to its next major event, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, scheduled for August 24 in London. With that show set to air on the same day as WWE NXT Heatwave, time will tell if Tony Khan can keep his momentum going after its success in Texas.
Goldberg stepped into the ring one final time at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. While this was billed was Goldberg\’s final match, fans know that final matches in wrestling are often anything but.
Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Goldberg was asked directly whether he considers himself truly retired. The WWE Hall of Famer then explained how retiring in wrestling is rarely a simple thing.
\”I can’t say that. In principle, yeah, I’m done, but I worked my ass off for five months… don’t know if I want to kick start that again and say, ‘Guess what, I didn’t retire. I want to go one more time.’
\”You don’t plan stuff like that. In the world of professional wrestling, I guess you’re not retired until you’re dead. In principle, yeah, I’m retired.\”
Retired or not, Goldberg knows that he can\’t rush a return to WWE. No matter what comes next, fans shouldn\’t expect to see Goldberg anytime soon. Later in the interview, Goldberg acknowledged that retiring in wrestling is rarely the end.
\”Wrestling world, you’re never retired until you’re dead. I ain’t dead yet. It was reinvigorating. It was a lot of fun.\”
Goldberg\’s send-off was a huge moment for the former Universal Champion, though he didn\’t walk away with the win. Stay tuned for the latest on Goldberg and his next move in wrestling.
Mya Lesnar, the daughter of Brock Lesnar, has been making waves in the world of athletics, and has seen a major development in her personal life. On social media, Mya made things official with Drew Moss, an NFL linebacker for the San Fancisco 49ers.
Mya Lesnar makes it official with NFL linebacker from the San Francisco 49ers
Moss signed with the 49ers earlier this year after impressing at Colorado State. A report from Sports Illustrated shared that Moss is similar to Connor Colby, the guard the 49ers took in Round 7.
As for Mya, she is continuing to impress in the world of athletics. In June 2025, Lesnar became the national champion for Women\’s Shot Put with a distance of 19.01 meters. With several records being broken by Lesnar, it\’s no wonder why some wrestling fans believe a spot in the ring may be in Mya\’s future if WWE makes a move.
Mya\’s success is coming amid questions about her father Brock\’s future in wrestling. The former Universal Champion hasn\’t competed for WWE in close to two years and fans aren\’t sure whether he\’ll ever wrestle again. With Brock\’s name tied to Janel Grant\’s lawsuit, WWE appears to be in no hurry to bring the Beast Incarnate back.
Whatever comes for Brock Lesnar, Mya Lesnar is thriving in and out of the world of athletics.
Carlito’s most recent WWE run didn’t end with a big send-off on screen, or even a conversation between WWE and the cool Superstar backstage. Speaking on D-Von Dudley’s podcast on July 15, 2025, Carlito shared that his contract quietly expired without any real communication from higher-ups.
\”The contract ended, and they decided not to renew. And yeah, it was like two weeks out, and I never went to them, they never came to me.\”
Rather than a thorough discussion about their reasons for not renewing his contract, WWE simply told Carlito that he didn\’t need to bother coming to Raw anymore. This struck a nerve with the former Judgment Day member, who argued that this was hardly the right way to do things.
\”I’m a professional. Treat me like a professional. Don’t treat me like a mark or something. You know, I’ll do my job and that’s whatever.\”
Carlito\’s exit was never explained on WWE TV, and instead he simply vanished from his role with the Judgment Day. At the time, many fans bemoaned WWE, not just for cutting Carlito, but doing so without a proper send-off.
Now, Carlito is ready to explore his opportunties beyond WWE. Whatever comes next, the 46-year-old wrestler hopes his next employer handles him like a professional, something he feels the biggest professional wrestling promotion in the world failed to do.
El Grande Americano has vowed a war on any and all luchadors, and he will be in for quite the battle on July 25. On social media, AAA has announced that Americano will be part of AAA Alianzas later this month.
EL GRANDE AMERICANO llega a la Ciudad de México ?? para el evento de la gira #AlianzasAAA ?
25 de julio, Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera.
— Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (@luchalibreaaa) July 15, 2025
Americano\’s impending arrival in AAA will no doubt spark debate about the character\’s role. When first introduced in February, many took issue with El Grande Americano, seeing it as offensive to the rich history of Lucha Libre and Mexican Wrestling.
El Grande Americano had been played by Chad Gable, but with the Olympian injured, Ludwig Kaiser has donned the mast and singlet. Time will tell what kind of reception El Grande Americano receives when he makes his debut in AAA.
Trick Williams is ready to defend the TNA World Championship against the very best, and one dream-match he has in mind would be simply \’Phenomenal.\’ Speaking with WhatCulture Wrestling, Trick was asked which past TNA World Champion he’d want to face and set his sights on AJ Styles.
\”AJ Styles. That’s the one… If somebody wanna take the Trick N A away, I mean, he’s the guy who I think people would respect the most… Let’s book that.
\”Trick Williams, the greatest TNA World Champion of all time, versus AJ Styles, the greatest TNA World Champion of all time. Let’s book that one.\”
Trick isn\’t the only person interested in seeing Styles go for the gold once more. During the interview, Williams highlighted how fans at the recent TNA tapings in Atlanta were chanting for Styles. While the Phenomenal One hasn\’t competed for TNA in over a decade, there\’s no shortage of fans hoping to see a return.
Styles, according to some, has been teased for the upcoming TNA Slammiversary show, an event Williams is expected to compete at. Should a showdown happen, it wouldn\’t just be good, but it\’d be a title match of \’Phenomenal\’ proportions.
Roman Reigns made his surprise return during the July 14, episode of WWE Raw in the closing moments of the show. Reigns attacked several members of Seth Rollins\’ faction before standing tall alongside CM Punk and his cousin Jey Uso.
Taking to Twitter, Reigns promised \’receipts\’ for those who have previously wronged him. The OTC added that it was a great feeling to be back on WWE programming.
When it comes to those who have wronged Reigns, Paul Heyman has to come at the top of that list. After four years aligned, Heyman betrayed Reigns at WrestleMania 41, giving Seth Rollins the win in their Night One main event which included CM Punk.
Reigns\’ return this close to SummerSlam implies a big role for the OTC at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Whatever comes next, expect to see much more of Roman Reigns on WWE TV.
WWE\’s presence will be felt in Bloodsport once more next month when a Superstar faces one of TNA Wrestling\’s very best at Bloodsport XIV. On X, WWE\’s Natalya and TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich shared some heated words. This ultimately led in Josh Barnett making a fight for the two at Bloodsport XIV.
If you both are so willing to fight then I've got the perfect place for it.
Natalya, who competes as Nattie Neidhart outside WWE, is currently 2-0 at Bloodsport while Slamovich is 3-3. Stay tuned to SEScoops to see if more WWE Superstars are added to the Bloodsport card.
Bloodsport XIV will take place on August 2 in Rutherford, NJ, during WWE SummerSlam Weekend.
LA Knight wished Seth Rollins a speedy during the July 14, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Despite being at odds in recent weeks, including battling at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, Knight spoke from the heart during an appearance on the red brand.
\”From the bottom of my heart, I want to wish you a speedy recovery. It was just last week that I said I wanted to take your dignity and I wanted to hurt, but I couldn’t hurt you because you hurt your damn self. So, I want you to get so you can let me hurt you the right way.\”
Rollins suffered an injury during his match with Knight at WWE SNME, a match that Rollins was reportedly planned to win. Due to the injury, plans changed on the fly and Knight would get the win with the BFT.
Knight\’s comments reflect the camraderie between WWE Superstars, even though they are enemies on TV. We at SEScoops are continuing to wish Seth a full and speedy recovery.
Nikki Bella was a part of the WWE Evolution 2 Premium Live Event, and fans won\’t have to wait long to see her back in the ring. On X, WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce shared that the WWE Hall of Famer will be in action during the July 14, episode. Her opponent? The woman who she beefed with at Evolution: Chelsea Green.

Nikki Bella Vs. Chelsea Green adds to a stacked Raw which will deal with the fallout from WWE Evolution and begin the build to SummerSlam. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from Raw.
Jelly Roll will make his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam 2025 as part of a stacked tag-team match for the two night show. After several appearances for WWE, Jelly Roll will team with Randy Orton to battle Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.
While celebrities in the ring is nothing new, many fans have taken issue with Jelly Roll competing at SummerSlam. On the WWE Evolution post-show, Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque shared that while some fans may not be pleased, that sentiment isn\’t shared among the talent.
\”Randy Orton is so excited to be doing this for him. Drew McIntyre is excited. Logan Paul (is excited). As soon as we mentioned any of this, those guys were like, ‘Oh my God, yeah. Let’s go.’
\”It’s fun and exciting for them and is an opportunity to do something different in a business where this is very serious a lot of the time.\”
Levesque compared this situation to an actor taking on a role far different than what they are used to and enjoying the challenge. With celebrities including Logan Paul, Bad Bunny, and Johnny Knoxville delivering in the ring, all eyes will be on Jelly Roll to see how he fares in his first match.
WWE SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Cardi B will host the show.
After cashing in her Money in the Bank contract at Evolution to win the Women’s World Championship, Naomi has clarified her brand status. Though being a WWE SmackDown Superstar, Naomi now holds the richest prize for women on Monday Night Raw.
Speaking on the Evolution Recap Show, Naomi was asked whether her title win meant she was now part of Raw. She confirmed that fans can expect to see much more of her on the red brand moving forward.
\”I always feel like Raw did me dirty. I never had any success over there, so yeah, I want to turn that around. I’ve got some stuff I need to do.
\”I feel like I haven’t been in the conversation with the women that have been over there. Nah, and we’re about to have some good conversations.\”
Naomi\’s farewell to SmackDown also means saying goodbye to Jade Cargill, her former friend turned fierce rival. Naomi relished in bidding adieu to Jade, saying \”I love that. For me. I’m the champion.
With a stacked roster including Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Stephanie Vaquer, Becky Lynch, and others, Naomi is joining an elite group of talent. Time will tell how Naomi fares on Monday Nights.
AEW Women\’s World Champion \’Timeless\’ Toni Storm is already making waves in wrestling after retaining her title at All In: Texas. Just one day after handing Mercedes Moné her first singles loss in All Elite Wrestling, Storm appeared for Prestige Wrestling’s ‘Combat Clash’ show in Oregon.
Storm gave a speech in the ring, highlighting her reign so far. Fans also got the chance to take photos with the four-time AEW Women\’s World Champion, who also signed autographs.
With Moné beaten, questions remain as to who\’s next for \’Timeless\’ Toni Storm. Whatever is planned, fans can expect big things for the reigning AEW Women\’s World Champion, both in and out of Tony Khan\’s first promotion.
At WWE Evolution 2, Becky Lynch retained the Women\’s Intercontinental Championship despite fierce competition from Bayley and former champion Lyra Valkyria. When Cathy Kelley caught up with The Man after the match, she reflected on her win and beating the odds.
\”The odds are always stacked against me. We are talking ten years to the day I believe, that is right, ten years to the day since I came up and everybody doubted me. Everybody thought I was the underdog and I was gonna be the one to be pushed aside. That I was going to be a good hand but never really did anything.
\”I am the definition of this business. I\’m the greatest female wrestler of all time. And it\’s not just me saying it, other people have said it. Sports Illustrated said it and tonight I proved it once again.\”
Lynch\’s claim to be the greatest of all time certainly holds merit. A seven-time Women\’s Champion and two-time tag-team champion, Lynch is also a Royal Rumble winner and won the first Women\’s main event in WrestleMania history.
With Valkyria and Bayley beaten, Lynch is ready to look ahead to her next challenger. After 10 years on the main roster, The Man is hungry for another decade of dominance against the very best WWE has to offer.
