    Confirmed Match Card:

    • TNT Championship: Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
    • Swerve Strickland vs. Josh Alexander
    • Claudio Castagnoli vs. Konosuke Takeshita (C2 Blue League)
    • Kevin Knight vs. Speedball Bailey (C2 Gold League)
    • Kris Statlander & Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart & Skye Blue

?? This Saturday, 12/13! ??#AEWCollision Winter Is Coming starts at a special time COAST-TO-COAST!

    — All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) December 11, 2025

TNT Championship: Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Daniel Garcia

The Sussex County Chicken brings his fighting champion mentality to Wales against one of AEW\’s hungriest young talents. Garcia has been on a mission to prove he belongs in the title picture, and Briscoe\’s never-back-down style should make for a physical collision.

Continental Classic – Blue League: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Konosuke Takeshita

A champion vs. champion showdown that carries serious tournament implications. Claudio enters as CMLL World Heavyweight Champion while Takeshita holds the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, making this one of the most decorated league matches in Continental Classic history. With Blue League standings tightening heading into the tournament\’s final weeks, neither man can afford a loss here.

Continental Classic – Gold League: Kevin Knight vs. Speedball Bailey

Jet Speed partners put their friendship aside for one night as Speedball Mike Bailey battles Kevin Knight in what\’s sure to be a high-flying, high-risk encounter.

    Swerve Strickland vs. Josh Alexander

The Don Callis Family puts forward \”The Walking Weapon\” against Swerve in what should be a technically crisp, hard-nosed affair. Alexander\’s reputation as one of the best wrestlers in the world meets Swerve\’s creativity and calculated aggression. With Callis surely lurking at ringside, expect interference to factor into the finish.

Kris Statlander & Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart & Skye Blue

AEW Women\’s World Champion Statlander teams with the returning Hayter for tag action against the Sisters of Sin. Hayter competing in her home country adds emotional stakes, and the Welsh crowd should rally behind her.

Hart and Skye Blue will look to make a statement against the champion and potentially position themselves for future title opportunities. Samoa Joe paid tribute to John Cena at Winter Is Coming Dynamite earlier this week.

AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming airs Saturday at 4:30 PM ET on TNT and Max.

  • Jade Cargill Credits WWE Mentors, Shades Naomi

WWE Women\’s Champion Jade Cargill has acknowledged the role Bianca Belair and Naomi played in her rapid rise through WWE\’s women\’s division.

Speaking on the Going Ringside podcast, Cargill discussed her debut positioning alongside two established stars as part of what WWE dubbed \”The Big Three.\”

\”You know, I would have never been positioned in a better way working with two great women at the time. I can\’t speak on Naomi right now. But I think being positioned with those two women and working with them as us being the Big Three, I would have never got a better opportunity,\” Cargill said.

Cargill\’s comment about not being able to \”speak on Naomi right now\” appears to be an in-character reference to their current on-screen rivalry. Naomi and Cargill were frequently paired together during Cargill\’s first year in WWE, including during their Women\’s Tag Team Championship reign, before their partnership fell apart on television.

Despite the kayfabe tension with Naomi, Cargill was clear about the value of her mentorship from both women during her transition from AEW to WWE.

\”I think being under those two taught me a lot as far as entering a whole new industry, uh, well, company and getting on the fast track,\” she explained.

Cargill\’s WWE journey has been remarkably swift. She debuted at the 2024 Royal Rumble, won the Women\’s Tag Team Championship with Bianca Belair, and recently captured the WWE Women\’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. Sol Ruca also reflected on her breakthrough year ahead of her SNME match against Bayley.

When asked about her former rival Tiffany Stratton, Cargill stayed firmly in character: \”I don\’t want to talk about Tiffany Stratton. She\’s gone right now. It\’s all about Jade Cargill and the Jade Cargill show that you can catch on Smackdown every Friday.\”

  • Report: WWE Planning First-Ever Italy PLE for May 2026

WWE is reportedly planning to bring its first-ever Premium Live Event to Italy on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.

According to WWE insider WrestleVotes, the event name hasn\’t been finalized, but Backlash is currently being used as an internal placeholder. The show would serve as WWE\’s first PLE following WrestleMania 42.

The Inalpi Arena, Italy\’s largest indoor venue with a capacity of up to 15,666, has hosted WWE live events in the past but never a major televised show. The venue was built for the 2006 Winter Olympics and has since hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 and the ATP Finals.

    WWE International

If branded as Backlash, the Italy event would continue the PLE\’s transformation into WWE\’s flagship international traveling show. The event was held in Puerto Rico in 2023, where it became the highest-grossing Backlash in company history, before moving to Lyon, France in 2024 for another record-setting gate.

Italy joins an expanding list of European countries hosting WWE PLEs, alongside:

    • The United Kingdom (Clash at the Castle in Cardiff and Glasgow)
    • France (Backlash 2024, Clash in Paris 2025)
    • Germany (Bash in Berlin)

WWE President Nick Khan first hinted at an Italian PLE during remarks at the IMG x RedBird business summit in September, noting that a deal was close. The company last visited Italy in early 2025 for a SmackDown taping in Bologna during the Road to WrestleMania 41.

The expansion comes as WWE continues its global growth strategy. Ram Trucks recently announced a multi-year partnership with WWE that will begin at Royal Rumble 2026 in Saudi Arabia.

  • Kevin Owens, Natalya Replace Undertaker, Michelle McCool As WWE LFG Season 3 Mentors

Kevin Owens and Natalya have been cast as mentors in the third season of WWE LFG, replacing The Undertaker and Michelle McCool, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite.

WWE LFG (often reported as \”Legends & Future Greats\”) is a reality competition series built around Performance Center prospects competing for WWE and NXT opportunities while being mentored by established names. The show airs on A&E and functions as a hybrid wrestling school docuseries and elimination-based competition.

Filming for season 3 began this week in Orlando, Florida, with shooting taking place at the WWE Performance Center. Some LFG-related matches are being taped before weekly NXT TV, meaning footage is being integrated around the existing NXT schedule.

Reports describe a \”refreshed format\” and a more competitive season following tweaks made after the first two runs. The core concept remains prospects working through challenges and matches under veteran guidance.

Developmental names like Kam Hendrix (formerly Anthony Luke) are among those involved, signaling the show will again spotlight Performance Center regulars looking to transition to NXT television.

WWE LFG has already fed talent into NXT, with past standouts like Jasper Troy and Shiloh Hill moving from the show into more prominent roles. Season 3 is positioned as the most stacked yet, offering an early look at who WWE views as the next wave out of Orlando heading into 2026. John Cena recently praised Natalya\’s autobiography, calling it a must-read.

    Road to the Royal Rumble

The appearances come as WWE continues building momentum toward the 2026 Royal Rumble, which will take place in Riyadh on January 31. The event marks the first time the Royal Rumble will be hosted outside of North America, with WWE SmackDown also emanating from KAFD in Riyadh on January 30. Orton has teased appearing at the Royal Rumble in a recent video.

WWE\’s relationship with Saudi Arabia remains strong, with the promotion set to make history when WrestleMania 43 takes place in Riyadh in 2027—the first WrestleMania ever held outside North America. Ram Trucks will present Royal Rumble 2026 as part of their new multi-year partnership with WWE.

  • John Cena \’Bawled His Eyes Out\’ Reading Natalya\’s Book: \’I Can\’t Put It Down\’

John Cena had an emotional reaction to Natalya\’s new autobiography, finishing the entire book in a single day and admitting it brought him to tears.

The WWE legend received an advance copy of \”The Last Hart Beating\” when he visited the famous Hart Family Dungeon, and his response exceeded all expectations.

Natalya revealed the touching moment during her appearance on Stephanie McMahon\’s \”What\’s Your Story?\” podcast.

\”I gave it to John Cena when he was at the Dungeon. And the next day he\’s like, \’Nattie, I was thumbing through the book.\’ And he goes, \’I\’m halfway through.\’

Later that night, he sent me a text and he goes, \’I finished the book. I can\’t put it down,\’\” Natalya shared. \”It\’s a page-turner. He said, and I\’m sorry John, I\’m putting you on the spot, John said that it made him cry. He goes, \’I bawled my eyes out when I got to the end.\’\”

    Natalya\’s Emotional Story

Cena wasn\’t the only WWE star moved by Natalya\’s deeply personal memoir. Bianca Belair became the first person to read the book, finishing it during a flight to Belgium while on tour with WWE.

\”Bianca Belair was the very first person to read my book. And she read it on a flight to Belgium. We were on tour. And she read it and she was like, \’I wish I had this book when I was starting in developmental, in like NXT.\’ She goes, \’Because this book… it just made me feel so much,\’\” Natalya recalled.

The book chronicles Natalya\’s complex relationship with her late father Jim \”The Anvil\” Neidhart, addressing themes of addiction, mental health, and the complicated nature of loving someone who hurt you. Multiple readers have told Natalya the book has had a healing effect on them.

For someone who grew up in wrestling royalty but experienced significant family trauma, hearing that her story resonates so deeply with readers like Cena and Belair validates the difficult decision to share her most personal moments with the world. Natalya has also been tapped as a mentor for WWE LFG Season 3.

Cena faces Gunther tonight in his final WWE match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • John Cena Confirms Final Match Will Close WWE SNME

John Cena confirms his retirement match against Gunther will be the main event of the show. Earlier this week, there was a rumor going around that Cena and Gunther were going on first, and would be given a much time as they needed.

\”I\’m not going first tomorrow . We\’re last going last and I don\’t know how that rumor started\”

Cena appeared on ESPN\’s Pat McAfee Live on Friday and set the record straight. When asked by McAfee if he\’ll be opening the show Cena squashed the rumor like a bug.

Likening it to a conspiracy theory and declaring, \”That\’s Pizzagate, homie.\” The 17-time World Champion confirmed, \”We\’re last\”

    A Year of Pivots

Also during the discussion, Cena spoke about how much creative plans for his retirement tour have been changed throughout the past year.

As much planning that went into plotting out what his final year would look like, it was pivot after pivot after pivot. While some performers wouldn\’t be happy with the lack of predictability, Cena\’s practicing gratitude, and appreciates the new scenarios that came about.

\”I love the fact that there\’s been so many pivots. AJ, that was a pivot. Brock was a pivot. Post-WrestleMania, all that stuff, pivot. Because of the pivot, I got Randy. I got Punk. I got to work with Logan in a singles match. Because of the pivot, I got Dom. I got AJ. I got Ron Cena. I got Sami Zayn. I got Cody at SummerSlam. Because of pivots, I got all these great moments. Never once was I like, \’But it could\’ve been this.\’ \’Yo, look what we got!\’\”

Gunther says Cena is the GOAT of sports entertainment but not wrestling, fueling their rivalry heading into tonight. WWE has planned surprises for the historic evening.

  • Update on Brock Lesnar WWE Retirement Plans

Ahead of John Cena\’s historic retirement match this weekend at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, there\’s an update on Brock Lesnar\’s future as an active competitor .

WWE is reportedly developing plans for Brock Lesnar\’s retirement, with SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis emerging as a potential destination for the Beast Incarnate\’s final match.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has working plans for retirement runs in 2026 that include Lesnar, AJ Styles, and potentially Chris Jericho if he signs with the company.

\”There is a story going around that Lesnar will retire at SummerSlam 2026. I can\’t confirm that date but did at least a month [ago] hear that the working plans for 2026 would be the WWE retirement runs for Lesnar, Styles and potentially Jericho if he signs,\” Meltzer wrote.

\”I didn\’t get the impression it was locked in except for Styles, who has made it clear it will be in 2026 but not when. But the Lesnar name has been talked about, which is probably where the story came from.\”

The Minneapolis location would carry significant meaning for Lesnar, who built his legendary amateur wrestling career in Minnesota before becoming one of WWE\’s biggest stars.

The news of Brock Lesnar finishing his WWE career at SummerSlam 2026 was teased by none other than John Cena during hsi recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. Cena suggested Lesnar will be retiring soon at a show in Minnesota. Cena, who lost to Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, noted he viewed that match as building up Lesnar for \”whoever beats him in the future.\”

The 48-year-old Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2025 and is currently advertised for both the 2026 Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia, and WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas in April.

  • Sol Ruca Reflects on Breakthrough Year, Learning from Bayley

Sol Ruca is reflecting on a transformative year as she prepares for one of the biggest opportunities of her career.

The NXT star will face Bayley at this weekend\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.—the same card that will feature John Cena\’s final WWE match against Gunther.

In an interview with Fox News, Ruca opened up about the significance of the moment and how far she\’s come in just one year.

\”I\’m honored and I\’m really proud of myself for this past year and just putting myself out there even just to be in this world of professional wrestling,\” Ruca said. \”I am a pretty reserved and shy person. So, I feel like I\’ve pushed myself a lot this past year and I\’m really proud of myself to be in this position and really honored to be a part of it.\”

    Making History

Ruca highlighted the common thread running through her 2025—being part of historic moments. She became a double champion, holding both the NXT Women\’s North American Championship and the NXT Women\’s Speed Championship.

She also pursued the tag team titles with her partner and earned a spot in the Women\’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline after being personally selected by John Cena.

\”I\’m going to be a part of making history,\” Ruca said. \”I feel like this past year has had that common thread, you know, being a double champion and being a speed champion and North American champion and then going for the tag titles with my tag partner and then now being on John Cena\’s last show and also him picking me to be a part of Deadline. It\’s been a really cool year for me.\”

    Learning From Bayley

Facing Bayley represents a significant opportunity for Ruca to test herself against a four-time WWE Women\’s Champion who was instrumental in WWE\’s women\’s revolution.

\”I\’m so excited, especially being so new to the industry and going up against someone like Bayley who has been doing this so much longer than me,\” Ruca said. \”I\’m just really excited to learn. I\’m really excited to be in that type of environment. I\’m really excited to just put it all out there and just have fun to be honest.\”

Ruca noted that Bayley has been a supportive presence at the WWE Performance Center, helping younger talent develop their skills.

\”I think when I was really, really new to it, she hopped into a class with us and we got to wrestle around with her and I\’ve seen her in the locker room a few times like being up on Raw and SmackDown recently. She\’s really nice and she\’s really open to letting us learn and just being a good role model.\”

Saturday Night\’s Main Event airs this Saturday at 8 PM ET on Peacock.

  • WWE SmackDown Preview (December 12, 2025): Terror Twins Reunite, US Title on the Line

This week\’s SmackDown serves as the final stop before John Cena\’s farewell match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. The show emanates live from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, airing at 8/7c on USA Network. (Tickets)

Mixed Tag Match: Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. Aleister Black & Zelina Vega

The Terror Twins reunite for the first time since their split to take on the villainous duo of Aleister Black and Zelina Vega. Priest and Black have been embroiled in a bitter feud throughout 2025, with Black seemingly ending things after defeating Priest in a Last Man Standing Match — punctuated by Zelina throwing a fireball in Priest\’s face. With the numbers game finally even, Priest and Ripley look to deliver payback.

United States Championship Match: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Tommaso Ciampa finally gets his shot at the US Title after weeks of provocation. Dragunov has repeatedly dismissed Ciampa as \”not worthy,\” leading Ciampa to interfere in matches and assault the champion. Dragunov enters with something to prove after Ciampa\’s interference cost him a clean victory over Carmelo Hayes last week.

    Alexa Bliss vs. Lash Legend

The rivalry between their respective factions continues as Alexa Bliss faces Lash Legend in singles action. Bliss\’ team emerged victorious in the Women\’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, giving her momentum heading into this encounter.

    Expected Segments

Saturday Night\’s Main Event Build: With Cody Rhodes facing NXT Champion Oba Femi tomorrow night at SNME, expect both to appear on SmackDown. Femi has been sending warnings to the Undisputed WWE Champion, vowing to \”break The American Nightmare\” and prove he\’s \”the now\” of WWE. Rhodes may also have to deal with Drew McIntyre, who remains a thorn in his side after their backstage brawl last week.

John Cena\’s Final SmackDown Appearance: With his retirement match against Gunther set for Saturday, the 16-time World Champion could make his final blue brand appearance to address the WWE Universe one last time.

    Looking Ahead

    • December 13 — Saturday Night\’s Main Event (Peacock):
      • John Cena vs. Gunther (Cena\’s Final Match)
      • Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi (Champion vs. Champion)
      • Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
      • AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je\’Von Evans & Leon Slater
    • December 15: RAW/SmackDown double taping in Hershey, PA
    • January 6, 2026: NXT New Year\’s Evil — Oba Femi vs. Je\’Von Evans for NXT Title
  • Gunther Heavy Favorite in Betting Odds for John Cena’s Final WWE Match

WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event airs this Saturday, December 13, headlined by John Cena\’s final match against Gunther. Here\’s a breakdown of the betting odds for every match on the card, courtesy of Bet Online:

John Cena vs. Gunther – Cena\’s Final Match

Gunther is a heavy favorite at -300, while Cena sits at +200 as the underdog. This gives Gunther roughly a 75% implied probability of victory, which aligns with wrestling tradition where retiring legends typically lose their final match to put over younger talent. Gunther already retired Bill Goldberg at Saturday Night\’s Main Event earlier this year and won \”The Last Time Is Now\” tournament to earn this opportunity.

Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi – Champion vs. Champion

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is a strong -400 favorite against NXT Champion Oba Femi (+250). Despite Femi\’s dominance in NXT, oddsmakers clearly expect The American Nightmare to continue his winning ways against the rising star in this non-title showcase.

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je\’Von Evans & Leon Slater – Tag Team Match

The WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are -350 favorites in this exhibition match against NXT\’s Je\’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater (+225). The veterans are expected to prevail, though this match is designed to spotlight the next generation.

Bayley vs. Sol Ruca – Women\’s Singles Match

In a mild surprise, NXT\’s Sol Ruca is favored at -250 over former Women\’s Champion Bayley (+170). This suggests WWE may be positioning Sol Ruca for a signature win as part of Cena\’s vision for SNME to showcase future stars.

Saturday Night\’s Main Event: John Cena\’s Final Match airs December 13 at 8 PM ET exclusively on Peacock in the United States.

  • Chelsea Green Roasts Herself In Response To Haters

Chelsea Green has revealed that her Lucha Underground match against Pentagon Jr. remains her go-to response whenever critics question her in-ring abilities.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the two-time WWE Women’s United States Champion explained why the 2018 bout was one of the best decisions of her career, serving as permanent proof of her wrestling credentials.

“The best decision I ever made was that match because now when someone says I suck at wrestling, someone else says, ‘But did you see the Penta match?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, that one match in 2018,\’” Green said with a laugh.

Green was characteristically self-deprecating about her own contribution to the critically acclaimed match, humorously crediting Pentagon for doing all the heavy lifting.

“I think he literally wrestled himself. He wrestled himself. But I digress. He is amazing and so am I,” she joked.

When asked about Pentagon’s infamous chops—which have left visible welts on opponents throughout his career—and how painful they were on a scale of one to ten, Green revealed a surprising secret about the masked star’s technique that contradicts his brutal reputation.

“I’m not going to ruin his whole stick, but just know that it’s like a zero,” she admitted. “I think that’s the best part about him.”

Green elaborated on just how gentle Pentagon actually is, noting she felt no after-effects from their physical encounter.

“Honestly, I took a flight that night and normally if we fly after wrestling, it’s like, oh, it’s awful. And you wake up from the red eye and you’re like all like a tiny version of yourself all crumpled over. I felt nothing. He’s amazing.”

The revelation adds another layer to Pentagon’s mystique, suggesting his ability to create the illusion of devastating strikes while protecting his opponents is part of what makes him a master of his craft.

Green noted that many fans aren’t even aware of her time in Lucha Underground, which she considers part of what makes her journey to WWE unique among her peers.

“So many people don’t even know that I was in Lucha Underground. People don’t know that I was in Stardom, that I lived in Japan, that I was in TNA and was a Knockout champion. I have the coolest resume. Dare I say the coolest resume out of anyone in the women’s division.”

Pentagon, now known as Penta in WWE, recently made his highly anticipated debut for the company alongside his brother Rey Fenix. The former AEW stars signed with WWE following months of speculation about their future after their AEW contracts expired.

Green’s comments come at an interesting time, as both she and Penta are now under the WWE umbrella—potentially opening the door for a reunion or acknowledgment of their shared Lucha Underground history on WWE programming.

  • Gunther Says John Cena is the GOAT, Just Not at Wrestling

Gunther has drawn a clear philosophical line between himself and John Cena ahead of their clash at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, distinguishing the concept of \”sports entertainer\” from \”professional wrestler.\”

During an appearance on ESPN\’s First Take, the Ring General revealed a 20-year grudge against Cena\’s approach to professional wrestling—one that began when Gunther first started training in the business.

\”I remember when I started wrestling like 20 years ago now. I remember that I hated that guy in shorts on that TV week by week and I always thought it doesn\’t belong in a ring,\” Gunther explained. \”I\’m a very big purist. I\’m a big traditionalist.\”

While acknowledging Cena\’s accomplishments, Gunther made sure to frame them within his own hierarchy of wrestling excellence.

\”John Cena is definitely the greatest sports entertainer of all time. But I\’m the greatest professional wrestler there right now. So that\’s going to be the conflict,\” Gunther stated.

    Sports Entertainment vs. Professional Wrestling

The distinction matters deeply to Gunther, who has built his career on traditional in-ring excellence rather than the entertainment-focused approach that defined Cena\’s era. For him, this match represents more than a farewell—it\’s a battle between two fundamentally different wrestling philosophies.

Despite his harsh words, Gunther has limited personal interaction with the 17-time world champion. Their relationship exists almost entirely through opposing ideologies rather than personal connection.

\”I can only speak for myself. I haven\’t really.. I shook hands twice with him. I didn\’t really have any interactions with him otherwise,\” Gunther admitted.

The clash of wrestling philosophies takes center stage December 13 at Saturday Night\’s Main Event when Cena faces Gunther in his final match.

  • Chelsea Green Had To Google Ethan Page Before Their First WWE Appearance Together

Chelsea Green has revealed how her partnership with Ethan Page came together seemingly by chance, admitting she had to Google him before their first appearance together.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the two-time Women\’s US Champion explained that she received almost no advance notice about the pairing that has become one of WWE\’s most entertaining acts.

\”I got a call like the day before being like, \’Hey, you\’re going to come into NXT?\’ I said, \’Sure.\’ I just assumed I was going to have a singles match. And I showed up and they said, \’Oh, you\’re going to be with Ethan.\’ And I\’m like, \’Ethan who?\’ And then they said, \’Ethan Page.\’ I had to Google.\”

Despite the last-minute introduction, Green says she and Page share an inexplicable connection that makes their on-screen chemistry work perfectly.

\”I would also like to know this [why they work so well together]. Every single time we are together, it\’s like the Spider-Man meme always. It\’s very strange. I feel like he\’s like my twin,\” Green explained. \”I don\’t know who in NXT thought to put us together, but I owe them a lot of money when Ethan gets called up.\”

Green recalled the moment she realized the partnership would be special, noting Page\’s promo abilities immediately impressed her.

\”I remember being backstage and listening to him out in the ring when I was going to come out and do the first promo with him and his facial expressions and the s**t that was coming out of his mouth was just like, \’Oh my god, I couldn\’t have said it any better.\’ And we actually get along, too. Which that\’s rare.\”

The champion addressed her sister\’s observation that Page is \”stealing her spotlight,\” but Green sees it as the perfect dynamic for a successful partnership.

\”My sister called me the other day to tell me that he\’s stealing my spotlight and I think that that is a perfect partnership. I bet that his wife would probably say the same. That\’s what you should be doing. You should be trying to outshine each other but in the most productive way.\”

Green also praised Page for committing to her tradition of never wearing the same gear twice, noting that he\’s gotten new gear for every appearance alongside her.

  • Gunther Gloats About Choking Out Goldberg

Gunther couldn\’t resist taking a playful jab at Goldberg when Stephen A. Smith revealed his all-time top five favorite wrestlers during an ESPN First Take interview.

The Ring General appeared on the show to promote his upcoming match against John Cena at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. When Smith shared that Goldberg topped his personal rankings—followed by Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, and The Rock—Gunther had a memorable response.

\”I love Goldberg. I love choking him out. I tell you this, I enjoyed that,\” Gunther quipped with a smile.

The comment referenced their match earlier this year, which saw Gunther defeat the WWE Hall of Famer in what many speculate was Goldberg\’s final appearance.

While Gunther appreciated Smith\’s picks, he politely disagreed with the top spot.

\”I wouldn\’t agree. I think Goldberg is definitely legend and absolute special wrestler, but I don\’t think I\’ve ever seen anybody putting on the number one favorite wrestler,\” Gunther said. \”Otherwise, I think yeah, it\’s very accurate.\”

Smith asked Gunther to grade the list, and the Ring General was diplomatic.

\”Go with that. I\’ll take it four out of five. All right. It\’s okay. I\’ll go with that,\” Gunther replied. \”I think otherwise you can argue Ric Flair, Hogan, The Rock, all great.\”

The lighthearted exchange also included Smith definitively ruling out any possibility of stepping into a wrestling ring himself after seeing Gunther in person.

\”I\’m not going anywhere near wrestling ring. I don\’t think what I don\’t think it would be a good idea. I\’m too damn small. I don\’t want y\’all breathing on me, let alone touching me. Forgive me. I\’m not qualified,\” Smith joked.

Gunther presented the First Take team with a framed sledgehammer from Triple H and Nick Khan as a holiday gift before the interview concluded.

  • Chelsea Green Recalls Being \”Sweating\” Nervous During Matt Cardona\’s WWE Return

Chelsea Green has opened up about experiencing the most nerve-wracking moment of her career when her husband Matt Cardona returned to WWE as Zack Ryder.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the Women\’s US Champion admitted she was overwhelmed watching Cardona\’s surprise appearance against LA Knight as part of the \”Last Time Is Now\” tournament on SmackDown.

\”I\’ve never been that nervous in my whole career. It\’s been 12 years of a lot of crazy moments. I was like sweating. I was so nervous,\” Green revealed. \”I\’ve never really had a chance to just sit in the crowd and listen to everybody react to Zack Ryder.\”

Green expressed relief when Cardona made it through the match safely, noting how unpredictable WWE can be with their plans.

\”I felt relieved when he came back because we\’ve got no broken bones. Nothing got f***ed up. Everyone cheered. And it went well, so I was happy. That\’s all you can ask for. It\’s wrestling, right? Like, crazy stuff happens all the time. As long as you come to the back and no one went, \’Ooh,\’ it\’s pretty good.\”

The champion also shared insight into WWE\’s unpredictable nature, explaining why she couldn\’t fully celebrate until the moment actually happened.

\”The crazy thing is that with WWE they can say something\’s going to happen and until you are—I want to say at the show—but even at the show things can change because it\’s live TV. So until I knew that LA Knight was walking to gorilla, I couldn\’t get excited because I have been on the receiving end of many \’oh you\’re going to get this, no maybe next week.\’\”

    Matt Cardona is Alwayz Ready

Green revealed that Cardona is always prepared for opportunities, keeping gear ready for years just in case WWE comes calling.

\”He\’s had gear ready for years. He really, seriously, he is always ready for a moment like that,\” she said. \”He\’s got MC or ZR knee pads always available. Closet full of potential moments.\”

In a humorous aside, Green also shared that Cardona\’s pre-match nerves manifested in an unusual way, describing her husband as a \”tanorexic\” who applied layer after layer of tanner before his big return.

  • Gunther Promises to \’Break\’ John Cena\’s Spirit, Ruin Farewell at Saturday Night\’s Main Event

Gunther has made it clear he has no intention of letting John Cena enjoy a heartfelt farewell at Saturday Night\’s Main Event – he plans to destroy it.

The Ring General appeared on ESPN\’s First Take ahead of his match against Cena on December 13 in Washington, D.C. While the wrestling world prepares to celebrate Cena\’s final match, Gunther delivered a chilling message about his intentions.

\”I\’m going to do something that nobody ever managed before. I\’m going to break your spirit. I\’m going to wrap my arms around your neck. And I\’m going to squeeze until the last bit of hustle, loyalty, and respect has left your body,\” Gunther declared.

\”I\’m going to force you to do the one thing that you said you would never do. I\’m going to force you to give up.\”

The Austrian-born superstar embraced his role as the villain in what should be a celebration of Cena\’s legendary career. He knows millions of fans will tune in hoping to see their hero ride off into the sunset—and he relishes the opportunity to spoil it.

\”There\’s going to be a lot of eyes on it. The whole wrestling world for sure,\” Gunther acknowledged. \”Everybody is coming bringing all his love and support for John Cena that night and I\’m in the incredible special situation that I can ruin it all. I can ruin that party and break a few hearts and I think that\’s what I\’m going to do.\”

When asked if he enjoys playing the villain, Gunther didn\’t hesitate to confirm his antagonistic nature.

\”Yes, I do. I enjoy it a lot. I\’ve enjoyed getting underneath people\’s skin and rile them up,\” he admitted. \”I\’m not a very big people\’s guy. So I like to rile them up a little bit and yeah, that\’s when I thrive.\”

Cena\’s final match takes place at Saturday Night\’s Main Event on December 13, streaming live on Peacock from the Capital One Arena.

  • Chelsea Green Explains \”Professional Loser\” Philosophy That Led To Two Championships

Chelsea Green has revealed the mindset shift that transformed her career from struggling wrestler to two-time WWE Women\’s United States Champion.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the Canadian star explained how embracing losing actually became her winning formula in WWE.

\”Look at where being a professional loser has got me. Just saying if you Google my name and my stats, they\’re not great, but we\’ve got these [championships],\” Green said.

\”I quickly realized that character work was my forte. I was trying so hard to be a professional wrestler. And then when I became Laurel Vanessa, I was like, \’Oh my god, I\’m doing way less work and people like it way more.\’\”

Green described herself as \”a glorified actress, a little bit of a stunt woman\” and admitted that her life has improved dramatically since changing her approach to the business.

\”Life has been so much better since I stopped trying to be a professional wrestler,\” she stated.

When asked how she feels about being described as a \”Karen\” character, Green embraced the label fully.

\”I think the squeaky wheel gets the grease. And if you don\’t ask, then you don\’t get. So I would rather be a Karen than not a champion. Not a double champion. Also being a Karen has kind of got me far in three years.\”

The champion also addressed why she\’s comfortable being the comedy act on WWE programming, explaining the business benefits that come with the role.

\”Why are you okay being the butt of the joke? Because it gets me views and it gets me a new contract and it gets me a raise and it bought me my new house. And honestly, hopefully in the next year it gets me numerous auditions. Hopefully this parlays into something even bigger than we could have ever imagined because I was able to just like tuck my tail between my legs and be the idiot.\”

Green noted that while she\’s willing to lose matches, she fights hard for memorable moments that fans will remember forever, citing her Money in the Bank ladder spot and the historic women\’s dumpster match as examples of \”hills worth dying on.\”

  • Andrade Vows to Give Kenny Omega \’Best Match of His Life\’

Andrade El Ídolo has vowed to give Kenny Omega \”the best match of his life\” when the two finally face off again, admitting their Triplemanía match in 2022 failed to reach its potential due to disastrous travel circumstances.

Speaking in a Spanish-language interview on Soy Eduardo Bates, Andrade revealed the chaotic behind-the-scenes situation that hampered what should have been a dream match between two of wrestling\’s most talented performers.

Both men had worked in the southern United States the night before Triplemanía, finishing around midnight. Their 6 AM flight landed in Mexico at 2:30 PM on the same day as the show.

\”The day before we wrestled in the south of the United States. The flight left at 6, we arrived in Mexico at 2 in the afternoon the same day as Triplemanía,\” Andrade explained. (Translated from Spanish)

The situation worsened when Omega encountered documentation issues at the airport. Despite being the reigning AAA Mega Champion, Omega was left waiting outside for over 40 minutes before anyone picked him up.

\”Kenny Omega I think didn\’t have his documentation that time. They took about 40 minutes to pick him up. Kenny Omega was outside. They hadn\’t picked him up. The mega champion,\” Andrade recalled, still incredulous at the treatment of AAA\’s top champion.

Even basic logistics failed them. The person with their hotel room keys arrived late, meaning neither competitor could rest until 4 PM for a major pay-per-view match that night.

    Andrade Seeks Kenny Omega Rematch

Despite acknowledging the match wasn\’t bad, Andrade knows they\’re capable of much more. He made a bold promise for their inevitable rematch.

\”That match we lacked, I don\’t know, time or something to reach… The match wasn\’t that bad, but I hope the next time I get to wrestle Kenny we\’re going to give him the best match of his life. Of his life,\” Andrade declared.

Andrade and Omega\’s history dates back to their teenage years. They first crossed paths at 19 years old during a New Japan Pro Wrestling Super Junior tournament, competing alongside future stars like Finn Balor, KUSHIDA, BUSHI, and Kota Ibushi.

Despite years in the same company, the two were never placed in the same tournament block in Japan, making their eventual collision all the more anticipated.

With both men now in AEW, the rematch can finally happen under better circumstances.

  • Bryan Danielson Says He’s Not Officially Retired From In-Ring Competition

Bryan Danielson is keeping his options open when it comes to stepping back inside the ring.

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet on the INSIGHT podcast, the AEW commentator addressed his current status in professional wrestling. Despite transitioning to commentary work, Danielson made it clear that he does not consider himself officially retired from in-ring competition.

“Do you consider yourself fully retired? I think I could,” Danielson said when asked about his current status, leaving the door open for a potential return to the ring.

The former WWE Champion has been working as a commentator for AEW following the conclusion of his in-ring run with the company. His transition came after years of dealing with serious neck injuries and concussion-related health concerns that had previously forced him to step away from competition.

Danielson discussed how he is adjusting to his new role behind the commentary desk. “By the end of my AEW run, I was better mentally at wrestling,” he explained when reflecting on his mindset during the final stretch of his in-ring career.

The shift from performer to announcer has required Danielson to develop an entirely different skill set. He acknowledged that there are significant differences between being a wrestler and being a commentator, noting that the two roles require completely different approaches.

While his commentary position allows him to remain connected to the wrestling business without the physical toll of regular matches, Danielson’s refusal to declare himself fully retired suggests that fans may not have seen the last of him competing inside the ring.

The 44-year-old has proven throughout his career that he has the ability to overcome significant health obstacles. His comeback from previous forced retirements demonstrated his determination to continue to perform despite medical setbacks.

For now, Danielson remains focused on his commentary duties while keeping an open mind about what the future may hold.

The partnership, which also includes UFC and PBR, marks the first time an automotive brand has signed a multi-year deal spanning all three TKO properties. Ram\’s WWE integration begins next month, with the company serving as a presenting partner of the 2026 Royal Rumble.

  • Mercedes Moné Championship Tracker: Complete List of the CEO\’s 11 Titles

Mercedes Moné has redefined what it means to be a champion in professional wrestling, and her unprecedented collection of gold speaks for itself. The self-proclaimed \”CEO\” isn\’t just talking when she calls herself the best in the world — she\’s backing it up with a record-breaking 11 championships that span three continents. From her AEW TBS Championship reign — now the longest in the title\’s history at over 19 months — to capturing prestigious belts across Mexico, Europe, and Canada, Moné has been on an unstoppable run that continues to make history.

After surpassing Último Dragón\’s iconic 10-title record when she captured her 11th championship at AEW WrestleDream 2025, Mercedes didn\’t stop there. She broke her own record less than 24 hours later in Winnipeg, Canada, by defeating Jody Threat to win the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women\’s Championship. She later captured her 13th championship at House of Glory Superclash in November 2025, defeating Nor \’Phoenix\’ Diana for the APAC Women\’s Championship.

However, Moné\’s historic run has faced setbacks in recent months. At ROH Final Battle 2025 on December 5, she lost the Interim ROH Women\’s World Television Championship to Red Velvet in Columbus, Ohio. Less than two weeks later on December 17 at AEW Collision Holiday Bash in Manchester, England, Moné issued an open challenge for her RevPro Undisputed British Women\’s Championship and was defeated by Alex Windsor, ending her 346-day reign with the title. These losses dropped her collection to 11 active championships, though her record-breaking achievement of holding 13 titles simultaneously remains in the history books.

At AEW Worlds End on December 27, Moné teamed with ROH Women\’s World Champion Athena in an unsuccessful attempt to capture the AEW Women\’s World Tag Team Championships from the Babes of Wrath, with Willow Nightingale scoring the pinfall victory over Moné. Following the loss, Moné was scheduled to defend her TBS Championship against Nightingale at AEW Dynamite: New Year\’s Smash.

Whether she\’s defending her crown in Tokyo, Mexico City, Vienna, or anywhere in between, Mercedes Moné continues to prove why she\’s one of the most dominant forces in women\’s wrestling today.
