Bayley Drops TNA Slammiversary 2026 Appearance Tease

Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley recently teased a possible appearance at TNA Slammiversary on June 28 following a social media exchange with former WWE star Indi Hartwell.

The interaction has sparked speculation about the WWE superstar crossing over to TNA Wrestling.

Hartwell asked Bayley on X whether she would be free on June 28, the date of TNA Slammiversary in Boston, Massachusetts. The former Damage CTRL member responded by strongly hinting she might have room in her schedule.

“I think I can fit you in my schedule,” Bayley wrote in her reply.

The tease got fans talking as WWE and TNA’s working relationship has continued expanding throughout 2026. Cedric Alexander then replied with an eye emoji reaction, adding fuel to the speculation.

Bayley has made it clear in previous interviews that wrestling in TNA has been one of her longtime goals, dating back to before she ever joined WWE. She explained that the TNA Knockouts division heavily influenced her while growing up as a wrestling fan.

“I would love to dip my toes in TNA and AAA. If we have the doors to do that, I would love to go,” Bayley said. “TNA was one of my dreams as a kid, you know? I love the Knockouts division. They were like the hottest division for so long. Gail Kim’s one of my favorites.”

With Slammiversary taking place just one day after WWE Night of Champions, Bayley’s latest comments are fueling major speculation that she could potentially become the next WWE star to cross over into TNA programming.

  • Tiffany Stratton Addresses ‘Craziest’ Rumor Behind WWE Release

Tiffany Stratton Addresses ‘Craziest’ Rumor Behind WWE Release

WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton recently snubbed a long-standing rumor involving former WWE star Giovanni Vinci.

The speculation claimed Vinci was released by WWE for allegedly flirting with Stratton, who was dating Ludwig Kaiser at the time.

During a recent Twitch stream, Stratton dismissed the rumor entirely and expressed support for Vinci’s future endeavors.

“You guys, that may be the craziest one I’ve ever heard. That did not happen. It is not true. There is no truth to that. I hope he’s doing amazing. I heard he just signed with TNA. He’s going to kill it. Absolutely no truth to that. A complete false accusation.”

Giovanni Vinci’s WWE Run and Release

Vinci was officially released by WWE last year as part of a round of talent cuts. Before his singles run as Giovanni Vinci, he competed alongside Kaiser and GUNTHER as part of Imperium.

The group removed Vinci from their ranks on the June 10, 2024 episode of WWE Raw, when GUNTHER and Kaiser attacked him and kicked him out of Imperium. During his time with the faction, Vinci held the NXT Tag Team Championship once with Kaiser.

  • Former WWE Star Reveals Creative Changes Ruined His Masked Gimmick

Former WWE Star Reveals Creative Changes Ruined His Masked Gimmick

Former WWE star Sidney Akeem, formerly known as Reggie in WWE, recently revealed that his SCRYPTS character in NXT failed due to creative interference. The former WWE 24/7 Champion explained that the final version on television did not match his original vision.

During an appearance on the Rewind Recap Relive podcast, Akeem detailed his original pitch to Shawn Michaels. He proposed a mask gimmick where Rey Mysterio would give him a mask before a six-man tag match, providing newfound confidence for a big win.

The storyline was supposed to involve Dominik Mysterio developing animosity over his father giving Akeem the mask. This would have led to Dominik turning on either Rey or Akeem, but creative shelved the idea before Dominik eventually joined Judgment Day.

    Creative Changes Derailed Original Vision

Akeem explained how the character evolved away from his concept. When NXT’s head writer asked what else he did for fun, Akeem mentioned slam poetry, which led to the dark poet direction.

“Too many chefs in the kitchen,” Akeem said.

So I went to NXT and I told them the idea with the mask, and then their head writer said, ‘What else do you do for fun?’ I said, ‘I do slam poetry.’ He’s like, ‘Oh, I had this idea of this dark poet.’ Me, I’m a team player. Then they came up with this idea of you’ll do this and do that. On TV, I wasn’t ready because the mask was horrible, the gear was horrible, and the gimmick was horrible. What you saw was not Scrypts, you saw Blink Man.”

The wrestler emphasized he was a team player who went along with creative’s vision, but the final product fell short of his original idea. He noted that what aired on NXT television was not the SCRYPTS character he had envisioned.

    New Character Fulfills Original Vision

Akeem revealed his current Soleil character represents everything SCRYPTS was supposed to be. He has creative freedom to execute the vision he wrote in 2020.

“Soleil was everything that Scrypts were supposed to be back in NXT,” Akeem explained. “This time I have the creative freedom to do it the way I want to do it, the way that I envisioned it.”

So it’s almost full circle, but this time I have the creative freedom to do it the way I want to do it, the way that I envisioned it, the way that I wrote this story in 2020. This is the birth of that. I’m not losing Sidney Akeem. Most people put a mask on to hide who they were and who they are. I put the mask on as a sign of courage and confidence to show that no matter where you come from, no matter what you’ve been through or what people tell you you can’t do, that there’s a superhero inside of everyone.

The name Soleil is French for sun, paying homage to his nearly two decades with Cirque du Soleil. Akeem calls himself The Black Sun and has developed a comic book backstory where Sidney Akeem gets released from a wrestling promotion, walks away, and discovers the Soleil mask in a circus.

Former WWE Star Being Discussed Internally For Return

Reports suggest that former WWE star Baron Corbin has been heavily discussed for a potential return to the company.

The former United States Champion was released by WWE on November 4, 2024, as part of a round of talent cuts. Since his departure, Corbin has been active on the independent wrestling scene under the ring name Bishop Dyer, using the nickname “The Nomad.”

His post-WWE run has included multiple independent dates, though he has not captured any major televised promotion championship during this period.

Dave Meltzer reported on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that the talks have been “heavily” ongoing.

“Probably back in WWE. I’ve not heard it’s a done deal, but I know it’s been talked about, yes.”

“On the SmackDown show, when Danhausen was talking about something bigger, my gut was that that’s who it is. That’s just my speculation, but I just know that he’s been talked with about being brought in.”

He then highlighted his reading of the situation specifically and that it’s not a done deal.

“It might even be done, but I haven’t had it officially confirmed to me it’s done. But I have 100% confirmed that it’s been heavily talked about.”

    WWE Tenure and Accomplishments

During his time with WWE, Corbin achieved notable success as a former United States Champion, King of the Ring winner in 2019, and Money in the Bank winner in 2017 and the 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. His release in November came as part of broader company restructuring.

Former WWE World Champion Inks New Deal With AEW

Reports suggest that wrestling legend Paul Wight has signed a new contract with AEW.

Wight originally penned a multi-year deal with AEW in February 2021. That deal included roles as both a commentator for AEW Dark: Elevation and as an in-ring performer.

Sources within AEW confirmed the new deal to Fightful Select, though neither the promotion nor Wight have issued an official announcement.

Limited In-Ring Action During AEW Tenure

The veteran has wrestled sparingly since joining the promotion. Injury issues have limited his match frequency, with Wight appearing primarily in special attraction bouts rather than regular competition.

Wight has not held any championships in AEW and does not appear in the promotion’s current singles or tag team rankings. His role has shifted more heavily toward commentary and occasional appearances rather than consistent in-ring work.

Paul Wight was seen inside the ring at the Jericho Cruise in 2024. He joined forces with Chris Jericho and Mike Bailey to take on Kyle Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Lance Archer. His most recent appearance on AEW TV came during the Full Gear Tailgate Brawl last November, where he joined the commentary desk for a singles match between QT Marshall and Big Boom AJ.

Rhodes has established himself as one of WWE’s top performers since returning at WrestleMania 38. He currently holds the Undisputed WWE Championship in his third reign, having defeated Drew McIntroe on the March 6, 2026 episode of SmackDown in Portland, Oregon.

  • MJF Makes $500K Offer Ahead of AEW Double or Nothing 2026

MJF Makes $500K Offer Ahead of AEW Double or Nothing 2026

MJF has made a luring offer to former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara.

‘The Salt of The Earth’ took to social media with a direct financial proposition for Sammy Guevara ahead of Guevara’s scheduled match against AEW World Champion Darby Allin. The offer came with a clear price tag and even clearer intentions.

Before this week’s episode of AEW Collision, MJF posted a message aimed squarely at Guevara. The post didn’t mince words about what he wanted.

“Hey shithead, @sammyguevara. If you win the match tonight I’ll give you 500k. Get the job done,” MJF wrote.

The timing of the offer adds another layer to MJF’s ongoing issues with Darby Allin. MJF is currently scheduled to challenge Allin in a Hair vs. Title match at AEW Double or Nothing.

    Darby Allin’s Championship Run

Darby Allin has been one of AEW’s most active world champions since defeating MJF for the title at AEW Dynasty. The champion has already racked up several successful title defenses while maintaining his fighting champion approach to the role.

That puts Sammy Guevara directly in the middle of one of AEW’s biggest rivalries heading into Double or Nothing.

Whether MJF is seriously offering Guevara half a million dollars or simply trying to create chaos before Collision remains unclear.

“I think I was involved in the process. Kofi was such a lovable, likable guy, talented as hell. You know, he’s now known for his spots in the Royal Rumble match, the spots where his both feet aren’t touching the floor type thing. But yeah, if he was hired during my tenure, damn right I was involved. I was involved in all of them. I had to do their contracts. I had to talk to them about their pay and any other little issue they may have.”

    Ross then predicted Kofi’s future.

“But Kofi has always been a great team player. He will not be out of work long. You put that way.”

  • WWE Legend Marty Jannetty Has Foot Amputated

WWE Legend Marty Jannetty Has Foot Amputated

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Marty Jannetty has had his foot amputated, as per former wrestler Eddy Mansfield.

Mansfield broke the news during an appearance on the Monte & The Pharaoh YouTube show, where he also criticized WWE for failing to support a performer who helped generate significant revenue for the company.

“One of my dearest friends ever on the face of this earth, and was a great wrestler, had his foot amputated, and his name is the Rocker Marty Jannetty,” Mansfield said.

Mansfield said that the news was devastating but said he had texted with Jannetty the same day

“Me and him always make each other laugh,” he said. “Marty Jannetty is one of the greatest guys you’ll ever have the pleasure to meet, folks.”

Jannetty is best known for his run in WWF as part of The Rockers tag team with Shawn Michaels in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He held the WWF Tag Team Championship once, teaming with the 1-2-3 Kid to defeat The Quebecers on the January 10, 1994 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Mansfield stated that Jannetty had undergone the amputation and called out WWE for not doing more to take care of the veteran performer. Mansfield argued that Jannetty helped make the company millions of dollars and deserved better support.

“His ankles were screwed up in a WWE wrestling ring, and making them a lot of money, him and Shawn Michaels,” Mansfield said. “When I can remember Marty, when he couldn’t hardly walk, his ankles bothered him so bad, he was in so much pain, and the pain pills really didn’t do anything to him or for him.”

Mansfield continued, “Where in the hell was WWE to help Marty Jannetty? Hell, he made them millions of dollars, and you can’t help him when he is in the biggest need of his life, fighting for his life. These guys at WWE can get all these pay raises, but you can’t take care of the guys who make you the money.”

As of this report, WWE has not issued any official statement regarding Jannetty’s medical condition.

WWE Reportedly Discussing AEW’s TV Future After 2027

WWE is reportedly discussing internally the possibility of AEW facing challenges securing another major media rights deal once its current agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery expires.

Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that multiple sources within WWE have been talking about uncertainty surrounding AEW’s future once the Paramount/Skydance merger situation fully plays out.

One WWE source of the outlet admitted nobody actually knows yet who will ultimately make decisions regarding AEW programming once the merger is finalized.

However, another WWE source noted that internal word has been spreading throughout the company and it suggests AEW might not remain part of future Paramount/Skydance plans.

“But another person in WWE noted to us this week that they have definitely spread word in the company among some if not many that AEW won’t be on Paramount/Skydance and question if they can get a viable deal elsewhere,” Meltzer wrote.

    WWE Sources Expressing Doubt

The report stated that some people at high levels inside WWE are speaking as if AEW potentially not getting another major deal is already becoming an expectation internally.

“One person there noted that people at the highest levels are talking like AEW won’t get another deal,” according to the Observer.

Meltzer also highlighted that similar rumors were heavily pushed during AEW’s last media rights negotiations before the company secured a massive increase on its previous deal.

WWE sources also believe there is still massive uncertainty around the entire situation as nobody truly knows how Paramount/Skydance will consider AEW long-term once the merger becomes official.

    AEW’s Current Position

Meltzer further noted that AEW still brings strong ratings value to TBS, performs well in important demographics, generates pay-per-view revenue, and remains significantly cheaper than UFC from a media rights standpoint.

“Honestly, that was one of the craziest, most unexpected experiences of my life, but it was also so enriching, and I got to do things that I don’t typically do and develop a passion for them.”

Former Women’s Champion Asuka has sparked speculation about her status with the company.

‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ is currently listed as an active member of the SmackDown roster, with no official announcement from WWE regarding any change to her employment or in-ring status.

    Current WWE Status

Recent reports via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that WWE had described Asuka’s situation as a semi-retirement related to family business obligations in Japan.

Dave Meltzer reported that he had been in contact with people in WWE for an update after the speculation among fans during the post-Backlash week.

“When we contacted those in WWE, they described Asuka as semi-retiring. She is going back to Japan for now to take care of family related business. Nothing else is clear as far as if she should come back or if she does, will her role be different.”

He noted on Wrestling Observer Radio on Sunday morning that the story he was hearing was that Asuka was semi-retired, but he had not gotten an exact definition of what that meant.

“The story I heard is that she is semi-retired. I haven’t really gotten an exact meaning of what semi-retired means, but I guess people were wishing her goodbye and things like that backstage. So I don’t know if that means she’s going to Japan and still wrestle. I don’t know if that means she’s going to still do stuff here and there, but I was told semi-retired.”

Asuka was most recently involved in a tag-team with Kairi Sane, before the latter was released. Earlier this month, Asuka lost to IYO SKY at WWE Backlash Premium Live Event.

  • John Cena Eye Issues Diagnosed As Rare Disease

John Cena Eye Issues Diagnosed As Rare Disease

17-time World Champion John Cena recently revealed that he discovered that he had a rare eye condition.

He had initially brushed off the symptoms as part of getting older. During an interview with PEOPLE, the ‘Leader of Cenation’ revealed that he began experiencing constant irritation in his eyes.

At 49, he initially assumed the issues were normal, but eventually decided to get his eyes checked to see if he needed glasses or a prescription.

“I had a lot of redness and itchiness, and every once in a while, waking up with eye crusties and stuff. At the same time, given my age — I’m 49 now — my vision was going a little bit, so I just figured it was par for the course. But because my vision was going, I needed to see if I needed glasses or prescriptions.”

Cena said that he avoided visiting a doctor for some time, convincing himself that the symptoms were likely caused by “lights,” “spending way too much time on my screen,” or simply “old age.”

John Cena Diagnosed With Rare Eye Condition

However, he decided to get his eyes checked, which led to a diagnosis of Demodex blepharitis. Cena said:

“Demodex blepharitis, which I didn’t even know existed.”

The former World Champion encouraged people to get regular eye checkups, comparing them to routine dental care. He said the examination and diagnosis were simple, and while he still needs reading glasses, the redness, itchiness, and crust around his eyes have gone away.

“I recommend that everybody do the same. A regular eye checkup is just as important as taking care of your teeth or anything else. The examination was easy. It’s certainly part of a regular eye exam, and the diagnosis was simple. Now, I still need my readers, but I don’t have that redness, that itchiness and certainly not waking up with the crusties.”

    What is Demodex Blepharitis?

As per the Cleveland Clinic, Demodex blepharitis (DB) is an eyelid disease caused by an infestation of Demodex mites, microscopic parasites that live in hair follicles, which are commonly found on humans. The condition causes itchy eyes, puffy eyelids and crusty flakes along the eyelashes, according to

John Cena was prescribed XDEMVY — FDA-approved prescription eye drops from Tarsus Pharmaceuticals — and said that, “immediately, all that stuff went away.”

“Now, I still need my readers, but I don’t have that redness, that itchiness and certainly not waking up with the crusties,” Cena shares.

Cena admitted that he was surprised to learn that DB is a common but underdiagnosed eyelid condition affecting roughly 25 million Americans, and “that is just the people who’ve gone to their doctor and been checked out,” he noted.

Logan Paul Shows Off Locker Room Next To Roman Reigns And Triple H

Logan Paul recently revealed that a handful of WWE stars initially disliked him when he joined the company in 2022 due to the special treatment he received and his rapid rise to prominence. One-half of the WWE World Tag Team Champion made the admission in a backstage vlog filmed during WWE Raw in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Paul debuted in WWE at WrestleMania 38 on April 3, 2022, and quickly became featured in high-profile matches and major storylines despite coming from outside the wrestling industry. His fast track to the top drew resentment from some roster members who had worked years to reach similar positions.

Logan Paul Claims Spot Next To Roman Reigns and Triple H

In the vlog posted to his YouTube channel, ‘The Maverick’ walked through the backstage area and pointed out his locker room location near Roman Reigns and WWE CCO Triple H. He used the placement to illustrate the privileges he received early in his WWE tenure.

“Just to give everyone in the WWE Universe an idea of how it works backstage. They tend to put the greats together, the best of the best. We kind of usually have our own little alley, our own little section. Like you can see me here. Then just across the hall here, Roman Reigns, of course. And then, you know, our boss, the big man himself, Paul Levesque,” Paul said.

“But I think when I got in the WWE, a lot of my peers disliked me because, you know, I was good. And because I was good, quickly, I got privileges like a giant green room next to the big dogs. But I think now, you know, it’s like tag team champion, member of the most dominant faction in the WWE, future Hall of Famer type sh*t.”

Paul also called himself WWE’s biggest entrepreneur and biggest star during the vlog.

“Only real paper billionaire, WWE’s biggest entrepreneur, and to be honest with you, I’ll just say it, biggest star. But it’s not all about followers. It’s about drive. It’s about power. It actually is my followers,” he said.

Over time, many wrestlers have come to respect the effort Paul has put into learning the business and his in-ring performances, though his comments suggest the initial reception was far from welcoming.

  • Joe Hendry Announces Exclusive WWE Album Dropping This Summer

Joe Hendry Announces Exclusive WWE Album Dropping This Summer

Former NXT Champion Joe Hendry recently announced he has recorded an exclusive album with WWE Music set to drop this summer.

The Scottish wrestler made the announcement during an appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight Podcast. The album features only original songs and was recorded at WWE Studios in New York.

Hendry has since replicated the studio setup at home, allowing him to send files back and forth with WWE Music for faster turnaround on topical content.

“I haven’t told anyone anywhere, but I have recorded an album with WWE music. And it’s going to drop this summer. We recorded most of that in New York at the WWE Studios. So what I’ve done now is the microphones that we have there, I have basically replicated the set up back home now.”

Fast Production Process Enables Topical Songs

The home studio setup enables Hendry to create timely wrestling-themed songs quickly. He cited the Logan Paul song performed on his WWE Raw debut as an example of the rapid production process.

“That’s one of the things that makes these songs work is because they’re fast and they’re topical,” Hendry explained. “We obviously did the Logan Paul song on TV, but we were able to just get it done that week because we could send files back and forth.”

The Rock’s Influence on Hendry’s Career

Hendry discussed how The Rock’s concerts and promos influenced his decision to pursue wrestling. He was initially a fan of WWE video games before becoming a wrestling fan.

“The Rock is the reason I got into the pro wrestling business. I was a fan of the video games before I was actually a fan of wrestling,” Hendry said. “The reason why his concerts worked so well is because he did a really good job as well as being funny. He was really good at it. He played super well, he sang well, He was super confident.”

Hendry’s viral song about Logan Paul on Raw immediately sparked a rivalry between the two performers. The album announcement confirms WWE’s commitment to integrating Hendry’s musical talents into his on-screen character.

  • Stephanie Vaquer Removed From WWE Raw June Dates

Stephanie Vaquer Removed From WWE Raw June Dates

Former Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has been removed from WWE Raw promotional graphics for the June 8 episode, suggesting her return from a second-degree AC sprain injury is still months away.

The former Women’s World Champion was written off television following a Judgment Day attack on the May 11 episode of Raw.

Vaquer lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42, marking the end of her title reign. The shoulder injury has prevented her from making any in-ring appearances since that time.

    Return Timeline Uncertain

WWE insiders remain hopeful for Vaquer’s return around SummerSlam season, though no official timeline has been provided by the company. The removal from June promotional materials indicates her recovery is progressing slower than initially anticipated.

Notably, CM Punk has also been removed from European summer tour materials, with speculation pointing to a potential July 6 return in Chicago. However, Vaquer’s situation appears to be injury-related rather than creative planning.

  • AEW’s Difficult Decision Over Rebel ‘Terrible’ Health Battle

AEW’s Difficult Decision Over Rebel ‘Terrible’ Health Battle

AEW commentator Tony Schiavone recently talked about the challenges the promotion faced when addressing Rebel’s terminal ALS diagnosis on television.

Rebel recently revealed she has been diagnosed with terminal ALS following health complications that began in 2024. Doctors initially discovered a mass in her lung after she was hospitalized, and she underwent several treatments and surgeries throughout 2025 before receiving the ALS diagnosis.

Tony Schiavone discussed the delicate balance of acknowledging the heartbreaking news while maintaining the show’s energy.

Speaking on his “What Happened When” podcast, Schiavone explained how the decision to address Rebel’s condition on air came about. He admitted he hadn’t stayed in close contact with her after she stopped appearing regularly.

“You know, once I don’t see you, I’m not really good at staying in touch with you, right? You know that, so, I didn’t stay in touch with her that well, and then I discovered that she had been very sick and now has AEW,” Schiavone said. “So, I thought it would be best for us to mention something about it.”

    Finding the Right Moment

Schiavone revealed that he approached Tony Khan to acknowledge Rebel’s diagnosis after noticing signs in the audience supporting her. Khan immediately agreed it was the right call.

The commentator then worked with producer Josh Mathews to decide the appropriate placement during the broadcast. The challenge was finding a moment that wouldn’t diminish the show’s momentum.

“We were kind of wondering where to put this because it’s not a good story. It’s a downer, and where do you put it when you’re trying to hype up this guy and get excited about this person going to the ring? You don’t want to bring anything down,” Schiavone explained.

“So, we found a spot and we did it on camera, and I was sincere. It was from the heart. She’s a great personality, as you said. She was big for us on AdFreeShows. It’s a terrible story and it just that sometimes the best people have the unfortunate things happen to them. And she’s one of the good ones. She really is.”

The announcement has led to an outpouring of support from across the wrestling industry for Rebel.

  • Jordynne Grace Breaks Silence After Private Photos Leak

Jordynne Grace Breaks Silence After Private Photos Leak

WWE star Jordynne Grace recently broke her silence after private photos were leaked online without her consent.

‘The Juggernaut’ clarified the source of the explicit images circulating on social media. A fan commented on X that everyone with a premium subscription eventually has images leaked. Grace quickly corrected the record, stating the leaked material did not come from her subscription content.

The former TNA Knockouts star emphasized that the explicit images were a combination of hacked personal material from an old account and AI-generated deepfakes. She made clear that her subscription platforms feature only bikini and lingerie content.

“None of that stuff is from my OF! Only ever bikini/lingerie there,” Grace wrote. “Other stuff is AI and some from an old Snapchat account that was hacked and meant for my husband, unfortunately.”

Grace is the latest wrestler to have private photos leaked online. Former WWE Superstar Paige suffered a similar incident early in her career, which she later revealed left her in a dark place emotionally.

Jordynne Grace’s WWE and TNA Career

Grace made her first WWE in-ring appearance during the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match while still the reigning TNA Knockouts World Champion. The appearance was part of a promotional talent exchange between WWE and TNA Wrestling.

Following her run with TNA Wrestling, Grace joined WWE and even competed in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, she has yet to win a title in the company.

  • Cody Rhodes and Pat McAfee Break Character To Reunite at WWE Event

Cody Rhodes and Pat McAfee Break Character To Reunite at WWE Event

Cody Rhodes and Pat McAfee recently broke character and reunited publicly at Disney’s 2026 Upfront event in New York City.

Before WrestleMania 42, Rhodes was involved in a feud with Randy Orton. The storyline took a controversial turn when McAfee was revealed as Orton’s mystery caller.

McAfee turned heel and even attacked ‘The American Nightmare’ several times. Rhodes also destroyed McAfee’s studio set, with both going back and forth in promos and online.

However, that’s all in the rearview mirror. The duo was seen sitting side-by-side just weeks after their heated WrestleMania 42 feud. The appearance marked a break from kayfabe as WWE promoted its new streaming partnership with ESPN and Disney+.

The WWE Champion and the former NFL star attended an ESPN College GameDay-style panel together, despite their recent on-screen rivalry. Rhodes later posted photos from the event on his social media.

    WWE and Disney Partnership

The appearance was part of Disney’s presentation to advertisers after WWE announced its major new deal with ESPN and Disney+. As per reports, the five-year, $1.6 billion agreement will bring WWE Premium Live Events exclusively to ESPN platforms.

  • CM Punk Removed From WWE European Tour

CM Punk Removed From WWE European Tour

CM Punk isn’t expected to get featured on WWE programming anytime soon.

‘The Second City Saint’ is no longer being advertised for WWE’s European tour dates and has also been removed from some promotional material for June episodes of Monday Night Raw.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion had previously been advertised for the full overseas run, which is scheduled to begin on May 28 in Liverpool, England and continue through the June 22 edition of RAW in London.

    Ongoing Absence From WWE Programming

As of now, Punk’s next currently advertised WWE appearance is the July 6 edition of RAW in his hometown of Chicago. The removal from European tour advertising comes after reports indicated Punk would not appear on this week’s RAW in Knoxville.

It was also reported that Punk was not backstage at WWE Backlash despite heavy fan speculation linking him to Danhausen’s mystery partner storyline.
