Reports suggest that former WWE star Baron Corbin has been heavily discussed for a potential return to the company.

The former United States Champion was released by WWE on November 4, 2024, as part of a round of talent cuts. Since his departure, Corbin has been active on the independent wrestling scene under the ring name Bishop Dyer, using the nickname “The Nomad.”

His post-WWE run has included multiple independent dates, though he has not captured any major televised promotion championship during this period.

Dave Meltzer reported on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that the talks have been “heavily” ongoing.

“Probably back in WWE. I’ve not heard it’s a done deal, but I know it’s been talked about, yes.”

“On the SmackDown show, when Danhausen was talking about something bigger, my gut was that that’s who it is. That’s just my speculation, but I just know that he’s been talked with about being brought in.”

He then highlighted his reading of the situation specifically and that it’s not a done deal.

“It might even be done, but I haven’t had it officially confirmed to me it’s done. But I have 100% confirmed that it’s been heavily talked about.”

WWE Tenure and Accomplishments

During his time with WWE, Corbin achieved notable success as a former United States Champion, King of the Ring winner in 2019, and Money in the Bank winner in 2017 and the 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. His release in November came as part of broader company restructuring.
