New Paul Heyman Guy Teased On Raw

    A new Paul Heyman guy?

The WrestleMania go-home episode of Raw saw Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar finally making their match official by signing the contract for the bout separately. This came after the two destroyed everything in sight during last week’s contract signing segment.

The Beast Incarnate was the first to put ink to paper in the opening segment of the night. Paul Heyman accompanied him and cut the usual promo about his client.

Oba Femi – A Paul Heyman Guy?

This wasn’t the last of Heyman we saw on the show, however, as he made another appearance later in the night, when Oba Femi got in the ring to sign the contract. The former ECW owner hyped up Femi as the most violent person to come to WWE since Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman then offered to become the advocate of The Ruler after WrestleMania:

“There is no shame in this loss for you, Oba. There is nothing but pride. You sir, are in the real main event of WrestleMania. And when you get conquered, and by God you will be conquered Sunday by Brock Lesnar. I give you my word, Oba Femi, I promise you. When you need to rebuild your career after WrestleMania, my door will always be open to Oba Femi.”

Changing alliances is not a new thing for Paul Heyman, and the Wise man is usually found at the side of the most dominant name on the roster. Would you like to see Heyman on the side of Oba Femi if he beats Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • WWE Veteran Claims Pat McAfee Is Doing An ‘Incredible Job’

WWE Veteran Claims Pat McAfee Is Doing An ‘Incredible Job’

JBL is loving the work of Pat McAfee.

The addition of the former NFL star in the WrestleMania feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton has not been well-received by the fans. People have criticised the focus of the rivalry being the involvement of celebrities instead of the long history between the two WWE veterans. The involvement of McAfee doesn’t appear to have helped the problem of ticket sales either, as the company is still offering huge discounts for the Show of Shows.

Though the WWE Hall of Famer gave a very different opinion on the whole thing. While speaking about the angle on the latest Something to Wrestle With podcast, JBL explained that the hate Pat McAfee has been getting is actually the effect desired by the company:

“He is a bad guy. And the idea that fans online are hating that Pat McAfee is involved and don’t want him near the main event—that’s the desired result as a heel. Don’t you think? You think it’s just—it blows me away when a guy gets heat like this and people go, ‘Oh, no, no, no—it’s go-away heat.’ No, it’s not.”

    That’s When You’re Winning: JBL

JBL claimed that if Pat McAfee had ‘go away’ heat as people claim, then nobody would even be talking about it. According to the former WWE champion, the fact that people can’t stop discussing the twists to this story means that the former Raw commentator is doing an incredible job:

“When you come out there and you’re able to strip away the veneer of that person playing a heel to that person just being an asshole and you don’t like them—that’s when you’re winning. The key to being a heel is when they take away the fact that you’re playing a character and they don’t just say, ‘It has nothing to do with Killer Tim Brooks as a wrestler—I don’t like that man. I hate him. I think Pat’s doing an incredible job.’”

Pat McAfee is expected to continue to be involved in the story between Orton and Rhodes after the Show of Shows. You can check out a report on where this feud is headed after WrestleMania here.

  • Kevin Knight Comments On Future of JetSpeed After Winning TNT Title

Kevin Knight Comments On Future of JetSpeed After Winning TNT Title

Kevin Knight says there is no problem between him and Speedball.

The 29-year-old picked up a big victory at tonight’s Dynasty PPV. He became the new TNT Champion in a Gauntlet match also involving his JetSpeed tag team partner ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.

While appearing on the post-Dynasty media scrum, the new champion was asked about his win and if the dynamic between the two partners will change now that he has won a singles title in AEW before Bailey. Kevin Knight explained that he and Speedball have remained friends despite facing each other many times before, and he would happily defend his championship against his tag team partner:

“I know what you’re trying to do there. You’re trying to drum up a little bit of a problem between me and Speedball. Me and Speedball have faced off plenty of times in the past, so this is a team win for me and Speedball.

I’ve known him before I got here and we’ve had great chemistry. He only wants the best for me; I only want the best for him. And I would love to defend this against my tag team partner if you [Khan] would allow this, if we can set something up. Because we bring the best out of each other.”

Tony Khan also announced during the media scrum that Knight will be defending his title against Claudio Castagnoli on this week’s episode of Dynamite.

The title match tonight was the result of Kyle Fletcher relinquishing the championship due to an injury. You can check out the original Dynasty plans for Fletcher before that here.

  • Original Dynasty Plans For Kyle Fletcher Revealed

Original Dynasty Plans For Kyle Fletcher Revealed

Kyle Fletcher was supposed to be part of Dynasty.

A meniscus injury forced the Don Callis Family member to relinquish the TNT Championship on this week’s Dynamite. This means that the young star also missed out on being part of the Dynasty PPV from Vancouver, Canada.

Fightful Select provided an update on the plans for the now former champion before this injury. They revealed that Kyle Fletcher was originally supposed to team with Konosuke Takeshita against The Young Bucks at the event. Kazuchika Okada, on the other hand, was going to defend his International Title at the show.

The changed plans after the injury saw Okada teaming with Takeshita for the match against the Bucks instead. The brothers won this bout by pinning the International Champion after Takeshita decided not to stop the EVPs from delivering Meltzer Driver to his tag team partner.

Tony Khan has since confirmed that they were worried about Fletcher being out for long, but the AEW President is hopeful that Kyle will be back in time for the All In PPV in August.

The company also held a gauntlet match to determine the new TNT Champion on the show with an unexpected name emerging as the winner. You can check out more about it here.

Tony Khan Confirms Gabe Kidd Status After Dynasty

Tony Khan has confirmed Gabe Kidd’s injury.

The War Dogs defended their AEW trios title against The Conglomeration on tonight’s Dynasty PPV. Kidd appeared to have suffered an injury during the bout as he was taken to the back halfway through the match and we didn’t see him again.

The AEW President was asked about the former NJPW star while appearing on the Dynasty post-show. Tony Khan confirmed that Gabe Kidd is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury:

“Gabe is out indefinitely. He is injured. It’s a shoulder injury. We’ll be evaluating him. I can’t say for sure what the injury is. The doctors are evaluating Gabe for injury.”

The Conglomeration went on to win the trios title after the returning Kyle O’Reilly made Clark Connors tap out with an ankle lock.

The Dogs had only won the championship on Collision the day before the PPV, so many have been wondering if the title change was an audible called due to Kidd’s injury. You can check out the latest backstage update on the matter here.

  • Tony Khan Asked About Ricochet’s MS Tweet

Tony Khan Asked About Ricochet’s MS Tweet

    Tony Khan spoke to Ricochet.

The AEW star had received a lot of criticism after telling a fan ‘I’m glad you got MS’ during a Twitter exchange last month. The former National Champion had later apologized for the remark, saying that he took his hatred for IWC out on the fan.

While appearing on the post-Dynasty press conference, Tony Khan was asked if he spoke to The One and Only over the issue and if AEW has a social media policy. The AEW President confirmed that he had a frank talk informing Ricochet that his behaviour was not acceptable and that the promotion does have a policy in place for such things:

“I did, and I had a conversation with him. I have a good conversation and a frank talk. That was not acceptable and I think that was communicated.

We have a policy and continues to be a policy in place for such things, and that violated it. There is no place for that in wrestling or anywhere. I do appreciate you asking, and we’ve tried to move past that, but thank you for asking,”

Tonight’s PPV also featured a surprise trios title change after Gabe Kidd suffered a potential shoulder injury. You can check out a backstage update on the original plans for the bout here.

Was Audible Called In AEW Dynasty Title Match Due To Injury?

    Gabe Kidd is injured.

The former NJPW star was taken backstage midway through War Dogs’ Trios Title defence on AEW Dynasty over a suspected shoulder injury. The Conglomeration then went on to win the championship after the returning Kyle O’Reilly made Clark Connors tap out.

The trio of Kidd, Connors, and David Finlay had only won the title on this week’s episode of Collision. So many people wondered if an audible was called during the bout and if the Dogs were originally supposed to retain the belts before Gabe was taken out.

Update On Trios Title Change On Dynasty

Fightful Select provided some updates on the matter after the match. They confirmed that Gabe Kidd appeared to be injured upon arriving backstage. As for the match finish, however, the site reported that the title change was always the plan:

“Kidd appeared to be holding his arm during the exit. The rest of the match had to be called on an altered plan. The finish was not changed, as Conglomeration was schedule to win all along.”

The severity of Kidd’s injury is not known at the moment, so it’s hard to say what his immediate wrestling future will look like. Stay tuned for more updates on his health.

  • Feared Injury At AEW Dynasty

    Feared Injury At AEW Dynasty

Gabe Kidd might be dealing with an injury.

Tonight’s Dynasty PPV featured the War Dogs defending the AEW trios championship against a returning Kyle O’Reilly, and his Conglomeration teammates Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong.

Kidd appears to have suffered an arm or shoulder injury early in the bout as he was seen favoring the same during multiple spots.

The medical checked on him midway through the bout. They ultimately decided to take the former NJPW star out of the match, leading him backstage while the fight continued.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer seemingly provided an update on his condition on X, noting that they fear Gabe Kidd to have suffered a dislocated shoulder.

The Conglomeration went on to win the match and the championship after Kyle O’Reilly made Clark Connors tap out with an ankle lock. There is no word on if this was the planned finish to the title bout. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.

  • Big Title Match Confirmed For Dynamite After AEW Dynasty

Big Title Match Confirmed For Dynamite After AEW Dynasty

Darby Allin is not waiting around.

The former TNT Champion faced Andrade El Idolo in a singles match at tonight’s Dynasty PPV. The stipulation was that Darby would get a world title shot if he won the bout.

The ending of this match saw Allin going for the pin after connecting the coffin drop, but Andrade manually stopped the referee, Aubrey Edwards, from counting to three.

Darby Allin then caught Andrade in the Last Supper to finally get the pin. After the match, El Idolo offered his hand to the winner, and Allin shook it.

This wasn’t the last of the new #1 contender we saw on the PPV, however, as Renee Paquette interviewed the daredevil star backstage later on.

The 33-year-old mentioned that Dynamite this week is going to be held in Everett, Washington, where he started his career. Darby Allin then announced that he will not be waiting until Double or Nothing, and whoever is the World Champion come Wednesday, will have to face him at the show.

MJF is defending his AEW title against Kenny Omega in the main event of Dynasty. Stay tuned to find out who wins the match and faces Allin on Dynamite.

  • Chris Jericho Loses Return Match At AEW Dynasty

Chris Jericho Loses Return Match At AEW Dynasty

Chris Jericho’s latest AEW run is starting with a loss.

The former World Champion returned to the company after a year long absence during the April 1 Dynamite. He brought back his popular WWE gimmick and then picked Ricochet as his opponent for Dynasty.

Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona accompanied Ricochet for this match, and they tried everything they could to help The Demand’s leader win the bout. At one point, Ricochet used the referee, Aubrey Edwards, as a weapon.

When Chris Jericho tried to counter with a Walls of Jericho, Toa ran interference, and Kaun threw Y2J into the turnbuckle. Though Ricochet still failed to get the pin after delivering a standing shooting star press, and the match continued.

The ending of the bout saw Chris finally locking in the Walls after countering a Shooting Star Press into a Codebreaker. Though his opponent smartly slid out of the ring to avoid a loss.

Ricochet then got the upper hand again and hit Spirit Gun. Gates of Agony stopped him from going for the pin, however, and gestured towards the ropes. The One and Only understood the assignment, and he hit the Lionsault to finally pin Chris Jericho.

There is no word on where the Attitude Era star will go from here, but it’ll be interesting to see how Jericho recovers from this loss.

  • New TNT Champion Crowned At Dynasty

New TNT Champion Crowned At Dynasty

    A new TNT Champion.

AEW had announced a gauntlet match for the vacant title to take place on the Dynasty PPV, after Kyle Fletcher had to relinquish the belt due to an injury.

Tommaso Ciampa who earned the #1 spot in the bout opened the match tonight with Rush. They were followed by Bandido, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, El Clon, PAC, Daniel Garcia, Anthony Bowens, Kevin Knight, in the respective order, with Wheeler Yuta being revealed as the final contestant of the match.

The ending of the bout was a chaotic one with so many talents involved. PAC connected the Black Arrow on Speedball, but Tommaso Ciampa stopped him from getting the pin. The former NXT Champion then went for the pin himself, only to be sent to the floor by Yuta.

Daniel Garcia looked to be edging closer to the title when he locked Bailey into the Dragontamer. Before Mike could tap, however, Kevin Knight came off the top rope with a UFO Splash and pinned Garcia to become the new TNT Champion.

Having officially signed with the company in March last year, this is Knight’s first singles title in AEW. Though he has previously had multiple runs with the Trios Title in the company.

  • Shawn Michaels Names One Talent He ‘Begged’ To Keep In NXT

Shawn Michaels Names One Talent He ‘Begged’ To Keep In NXT

Shawn Michaels wanted to keep Je’Von Evans in NXT a little bit longer.

The WWE Hall of Famer was asked if there was any one talent he would have liked to keep in NXT forever if he could during his recent interview with Ringer Wrestling. The wrestling veteran explained that the goal of the brand is to make people ready for the main roster, but he then said that he would have liked to keep Je’Von Evans around a little longer:

“Well not forever because you’re not doing a good job if you got them forever. But certainly Je’Von obviously was somebody I was begging to like ‘Can we just keep him for another six months.’”

We Were Going To Build Around Je’Von: Shawn Michaels

The Young OG joined the main roster along with names such as Trick Williams and Oba Femi when he signed with the Raw brand in January this year. Je’Von Evans had made his NXT debut back in April 2024 so his run with the development brand came to an end three months short of two years.

Shawn Michaels revealed he was informed about Evans’ call-up very late. He was a little bit surprised by it, as they had plans to make the high-flying star a central figure of NXT programming in the coming months. Though HBK looks at the whole thing positively, as the call-ups indicate a success for the WWE development program:

“From an NXT standpoint we were in our minds, going to obviously build around Je’Von for the next year. And that was, you know, that was kind of the model and then they’re like, ‘Oh, no, no, we’re taking him too.’

I pushed back a little bit like, ‘Can we just [keep him for] six months?’ ‘No.’ Then I’m like ‘Three?’ They’re like ‘No.’ Then I’m like ‘Alright, fair enough.’ But come on, if that’s the worst news you have to have is that they’re taking too many of your people. That means we’re doing a pretty good job.”

Apart from this, Michaels also responded to Bret Hart’s claim about his relationship with Vince McMahon. You can check out his remarks here.

Dolph Ziggler Reveals Surprising Aspirations For Post-Wrestling Career

    Dolph Ziggler has political aspirations.

The TNA star, currently going by the name of Nic Nemeth, recently spoke to the Generation of Wrestling podcast to promote the Rebellion PPV. He discussed things such as the Cleveland Browns relocation controversy, his upcoming match with A. J. Francis and more.

During the talk, the former World Champion also revealed what his career plans were when he first entered the wrestling world. One interesting aspiration for Dolph Ziggler was to enter politics, and the former WWE star mentioned that he still wants to do that:

“20 years ago, the plan was to be pre-law at Kent State, become a lawyer while I’m training for wrestling, become a two-time world champion, host Saturday Night Live, join the UFC for one fight, and then go on to be the mayor of Palm Springs and then move my way into being a senator. I still have those political aspirations; I love everything about politics. “

Dolph Ziggler later claimed that he still likes to read about law and learn as much as he can in his free time. He said that he absolutely will love to be involved in politics, and maybe he can do something good for his hometown of Cleveland down the line.

Talents choosing politics as a post-wrestling career is not a new thing, and a number of them have found success in the transition. Jesse Ventura is the former governor of Minnesota and Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs currently serves as the Mayor of Knox County. Apart from this, former TNA star Matt Morgan is the former Mayor and current commissioner of the city of Longwood.

  • Tentative Return Plans For Kyle Fletcher Revealed

Tentative Return Plans For Kyle Fletcher Revealed

Tony Khan is hopeful that Kyle Fletcher can return in a few months.

The Don Callis Family member had to relinquish his TNT championship due to a meniscus injury confirmed on this week’s Dynamite. With reports suggesting that the young star will be taking care of some other nagging issues during his hiatus as well, fans were worried that we might not see the Protostar back in a wrestling ring this year.

The AEW President was asked about Kyle Fletcher during the AEW Dynasty media call. Tony Khan noted that he is trying to look at the positives of the situation and revealed that they are hoping for the injured star to be back in time for the All In event in August:

“Kyle Fletcher is expected to be out for months. I’m looking at it glass half full, because we were very concerned when he got hurt. He’s a very important wrestler for AEW and was involved in many plans, including AEW Dynasty. The positive is that I don’t expect him to be out for a year, and I’m optimistic he could return in time for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. I think that’s a realistic goal.”

The company has announced a Casino Gauntlet match to determine the new TNT Champion at the PPV this Sunday. Tommaso Ciampa has earned the #1 spot in the bout after defeating Máscara Dorada in a match on the April 8 Dynamite.

While Kyle Fletcher will not be able to make it to the event, there is another former champion who is teasing his return at the Dynasty PPV. You can check out more about it here.

  • Adam Copeland Reveals Unique Dream Retirement Scenario

Adam Copeland Reveals Unique Dream Retirement Scenario

A dream retirement scenario for an average wrestler is getting a big farewell match or a whole tour to be able to say goodbye to his fans properly. For Adam Copeland, however, it’s something completely different.

The AEW star recently had an interview with TV Insider to promote the upcoming Dynasty PPV. He talked about things such as his role in the Percy Jackson TV series, Chris Jericho’s recent return to the company and more.

The 52-year-old was also asked if the recent farewells of AJ Styles and John Cena have made him think about his own retirement. Adam Copeland, who has been forced to retire from active competition once back in 2011, said that his dream retirement scenario would be to go out kicking and screaming:

“No, because I already beat them to the punch about 15 years ago. I already had one. My dream scenario would be as a heel and to get dragged out of the building kicking and screaming.”

The former World Champion was then asked if he considers his current run to be similar to an encore that comes after a rock show. Copeland claimed that he hasn’t put so much thought into it and right now he is just showing up and having fun. The former Edge knows that he is closer to the end of his wrestling career than the beginning, but he doesn’t like to think too much about it.

The wrestling veteran will be reuniting with his Attitude Era tag team partner, Christian, to challenge FTR for the AEW Tag Team Titles at the Dynasty PPV this Sunday.

  • Injured WWE Star Returns To Action Before SmackDown

Injured WWE Star Returns To Action Before SmackDown

Jordynne Grace is back in action.

WWE taped matches for Main Event before this week’s episode of SmackDown from SAP Center in San Jose, California. One of the bouts saw the former Knockouts Champion making her in-ring return in a singles match against Zelina Vega:

The former TNA star last wrestled about a month ago in another Main Event match against Alba Fyre. The bout never aired, however, after Jordynne Grace twisted her ankle during a spot.

Grace had posted a photo of herself in a walking boot, after being prompted by Chelsea Green, who herself is out with a leg injury.

There is no word on when Jordynne will be returning to SmackDown, but it seems likely that the former Champion will only return to the Blue Branded show after WrestleMania.

Tonight’s episode also featured another Pat McAfee promo where he revealed his ‘massive announcement’ and responded to CM Punk’s MAGA jab. You can check out what the former NFL star said here.

  • Pat McAfee Responds To CM Punk’s MAGA Jab With Saudi Arabia Taunt

Pat McAfee Responds To CM Punk’s MAGA Jab With Saudi Arabia Taunt

Pat McAfee has fired back at CM Punk.

WWE had put the Straight Edge Star forward on this past Monday’s Raw in an effort to salvage the McAfee storyline after it was universally panned. Doing what he does best, Punk had cut an intense promo calling out the TKO brass’ MAGA affiliation through McAfee and asking the WWE owners to lower the ticket prices.

The former NFL star responded to these jabs with a promo of his own during the latest episode of SmackDown. Pat McAfee claimed that it’s hard for him to take a spineless bum like CM Punk seriously because he has a brain. He mentioned how Punk was talking about fans while wearing multiple layers of officially licensed merchandise and took a jab at the former AEW star agreeing to work Saudi events:

“He’s got 283 things for sale to all of you. I wonder to myself, when that TKO merch check comes through, which account does it go to? Does it go to the needy wrestling families who can’t afford WrestleMania tickets? Or, just simple question and I have a sneaky suspicion that money from the TKO merch account goes right into the bank account titled, ‘I’m sorry, Saudi Arabia.’ He’s a fraud like a politician – all talk, no action.”

Pat McAfee later claimed that Punk had the opportunity to change things, but then got into a room and rolled over like the little bitch he is. The former Raw commentator also revealed his promised ‘massive announcement’, which turned out to be another massive dud.

Cody Rhodes came out next to confront McAfee. After some more heated words, including a line about Cody sucking Triple H’s ass, the segment ended in a brawl with Randy Orton and Jelly Roll also getting involved. Randy and Pat got the upper hand in this fight and they finally left with the WWE title.

  • Pat McAfee’s ‘Massive Announcement’ Revealed

    Pat McAfee’s ‘Massive Announcement’ Revealed

Pat McAfee’s ‘massive announcement’ is a massive disappointment.

The former NFL star had promised another surprise announcement for his appearance on this week’s episode of SmackDown from SAP Center in San Jose, California. Pat’s scheduled appearance came after Royce Keys finally made his singles TV debut on the show, squashing Humberto Carrillo.

Pat McAfee first ran into Nick Aldis backstage in a segment. He asked the SmackDown GM if he had informed all roster members that no one was allowed to put their hands on McAfee and Aldis confirmed the same.

    Pat McAfee’s Massive Announcement

The retired footballer then got in the ring for a promo. He first responded to CM Punk for his fiery ‘MAGAfee’ promo on this week’s Raw. Pat then came to his massive announcement, revealing that tickets for WrestleMania Saturday will be available at 25% discount till Monday.

He explained that only the Saturday tickets are on discount because Randy Orton is in main event. Pat McAfee claimed that fans shouldn’t spend the money on Sunday’s event since the lineup is ‘ass.’

Cody Rhodes later came out for a war of words with his newest rival. The segment finally ended with Randy Orton using Jelly Roll as a bait to get the upper hand over the American Nightmare in a brawl and leaving with his WWE title belt.

  • Potential Huge Spoiler On WrestleMania 42 Main Event

Potential Huge Spoiler On WrestleMania 42 Main Event

Pat McAfee will be sticking around after WrestleMania.

The former NFL star is scheduled to accompany Randy Orton for his WWE title match against Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 42 Night 1. Amid the backlash to McAfee’s reveal as Orton’s mystery caller, many people have been wondering if the company will keep him around after the Show of Shows.

Dave Meltzer provided some updates on the matter in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He noted that the current plan is for Pat McAfee to be part of a key match at Backlash in May:

“Pat McAfee will team with Randy Orton against Cody Rhodes & Jelly Roll coming out of WrestleMania and be a key match at the Backlash PPV on 5/9, at least as of plans that were confirmed by multiple people and were still in play at press time.”

The 38-year-old has announced that he will leave WWE for good if The Viper fails to win the Undisputed title from Rhodes. So him being planned for Backlash suggests that Orton will most likely defeat The American Nightmare to win his 15th World title next week.

Though reports suggest that WWE is reworking the plans concerning the former Raw commentator in light of the negative reaction to his storyline reveal. This means that things could still change between now and WrestleMania.

Before that, Pat McAfee is scheduled to make an appearance on SmackDown tonight and he is promising a massive surprise for the show. You can check out more about it here.

  • Nikki Bella Unsure About WrestleMania Status Following Recent Injury

Nikki Bella Unsure About WrestleMania Status Following Recent Injury

Nikki Bella doesn’t know if she will be missing WrestleMania.

WWE had confirmed recently that the Hall of Famer suffered an injury during the Bella Twins’ match with Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair on the March 27 SmackDown. Though the company had only said that she was undergoing rehab and they had not confirmed if it could affect her status for the Show of Shows.

The former Divas Champion addressed her health during the sisters’ recent interview with Angie Martinez. Nikki Bella agreed that it was not the ideal time for her to get injured, and at first, she thought that she had broken her ankle. As things stand, the wrestling veteran believes it to be a sprained ankle, but she doesn’t know the severity of the injury:

“In our match on Friday, so, it was our second tag match back together and it happened right in the beginning of the match and I finished the match. I can’t believe I finished the match and I stressed out my poor sister. I’ve been super bummed out about it, so, as of now, it’s a sprained ankle. We don’t know if it’s a high sprain or something else so, I got an MRI, I’m waiting for the results.”

The Bella Twins, along with Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, are set to challenge The Irresistible Forces for the Women’s Tag Title at Night 1 of WrestleMania 42. We are likely to get a better idea about Nikki’s status for the Show of Shows on tonight’s SmackDown.

  • Trick Williams Explains Why Carmelo Hayes Should Not Be Part of His WrestleMania Match

Trick Williams Explains Why Carmelo Hayes Should Not Be Part of His WrestleMania Match

Trick Williams doesn’t want to embarrass Carmelo Hayes.

Fans were unhappy with Carmelo Hayes losing the US title to Sami Zayn only a few weeks before WrestleMania. Many believe that both Melo and Ilja Dragunov deserve to be a part of the title match at the biggest wrestling event of the year, after they elevated the championship with their feud over the last several months.

During a recent interview with The Sun, Trick Williams, who is scheduled to challenge Zayn for the title at the PPV was asked about the possibility of Hayes being added to the bout. The former NXT Champion noted that he does have a story with the fellow NXT alumni, but claimed that he doesn’t want to embarrass Carmelo at his very first WrestleMania:

“We definitely have a story and, you know, as far as what it would mean to the people, I think that’d be a beautiful moment. But, the truth is, whoever is in front of me got to get it. And as much as I care about Carmelo Hayes and as much of a friend that he once was to me, I don’t want to beat him down on the biggest stage of them all like that and embarrass him for his first WrestleMania.”

Trick Williams claimed that it will be ‘a little cruel’ to do that to one of your friends. Though he later claimed that whoever is in front of him at the show has ‘got to get it.’

The match between Williams and Zayn is set for Night 2 of the Show of Shows this year. Though it seems unlikely that Carmelo Hayes will be added to the bout after he lost the title rematch to Sami on this past Friday’s SmackDown.

  • Seth Rollins Confirms Backstage Report About Gunther Match

Seth Rollins Confirms Backstage Report About Gunther Match

Seth Rollins has confirmed that the Gunther match has not been planned for long.

There had been some uncertainty about who the Architect would be facing at WrestleMania this year after his Elimination Chamber return. Reports suggested that WWE was hoping for Bron Breakker to get cleared for the show while the Ring General looked to be heading for a match against Rey Mysterio at the PPV.

The company seems to have changed direction a couple of weeks ago; however. Gunther saved Paul Heyman from another Seth Rollins attack on last week’s Raw, and a match between the two was then quickly announced for Mania.

Seth Rollins vs. Gunther Was Finalized Recently

The Visionary talked about his Crown Jewel shoulder injury and return during his latest appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. Rollins first discussed how he really did not want to miss WrestleMania due to an injury again after missing the show once in 2016. Seth then confirmed that the bout with Gunther has not been the plan for long and the whole thing came together over the last couple of weeks:

“I missed one WrestleMania in my career and it was one of my lowest moments and so I’m very happy to be back and be able to get in the ring. Not just do a run-in or anything like that but actually have a contest. Wrestling one of the best in the world, Gunther, in a match that’s kind of come together over the last couple of weeks and so I’m pretty excited for that one.”

The match between the two former World Champions has been confirmed for Night 1 of WrestleMania 42. On the latest Raw, Gunther suggested that Paul Heyman owed him a favor for recusing him, so it seems likely that their association will continue beyond the upcoming PPV.

Kyle O’Reilly might be returning soon.

The Conglomeration star has been out of action due to an undisclosed injury since the Full Gear PPV last November. He was involved in a story with Death Riders before his hiatus, and Kyle had actually defeated Jon Moxley in a singles match in his last outing.

CHEK Media recently released a trailer for their upcoming interview with the AEW star, where he can be seen talking about his journey in pro wrestling. Among other things, the video also featured a clip of Kyle O’Reilly teasing a potential return at this weekend’s AEW show:

“I really wanna be ready in time for the Vancouver pay-per-view, which is Dynasty, coming up this weekend from Rogers Arena. So wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Maybe I’ll be back in time for that.”

The 2026 Dynasty PPV will be taking place from Rogers Arena in Kyle’s hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, this Sunday night on April 12.

The show will see Moxley in action against Will Ospreay in a singles bout, and it could be the perfect opportunity to reintroduce the 39-year-old on TV.

Tony Khan Breaks Silence On TNA Controversy

Tony Khan hopes the TNA matches could still happen down the line.

The Anthem-owned promotion has received a lot of criticism for pulling their talents from already announced matches against AEW stars, and causing distress to indie promoters. This included the cancellation of the dream match between Nic Nemeth and MJF announced for a Create A Pro show in May, a promotion run by TNA’s own Brian Myers.

The AEW President was asked about the whole thing during his recent interview with Ringer Wrestling. Tony Khan said that he was just as surprised as fans because he was told that TNA talents had gotten approval from the management:

“I was surprised because with MJF and Ricochet, they both talked to me about the matches. I said it was okay and they both told me everybody had gotten it approved. I guess somebody on the other side must’ve changed their mind, which is fine, they are entitled to do that.”

    Something Might’ve Changed: Tony Khan

Like MJF, Ricochet was scheduled for a bout against the current X-Division Champion Leon Slater. Tony Khan noted that both the AEW talents were looking forward to these bouts and hoped that the TNA stars are able to figure out a way to get the approval somewhere down the line:

“It doesn’t really change what we’re doing in AEW, but I know Max and Ricochet were both looking forward to their respective matches. I guess something might’ve changed. It sounds like it did. Hopefully, those guys are able to figure it out and put those together because the fans want to see those matches,”

MJF has been vocal about the cancellation of his bout with Nic Nemeth. He has publicly called out TNA President Carlos Silva after reports revealed that the executive was unhappy with an AEW move last week. You can check out more about it here.

Booker T Furthers Retirement Match Talk After Triple H Tease

Booker T is open to a retirement match with WWE.

The talk about a potential retirement match for the WCW Legend stirred up when Triple H posted a video showing the wrestling veteran joking about the same recently.

The 61-year-old was asked about this during the latest edition of his Hall of Fame podcast. Booker T first expressed a never say never attitude, mentioning that he hasn’t put himself into the retirement category just yet:

“Never say never, bro. I’m not gonna put myself totally in the retirement category just yet. I don’t know. I might get the itch to want to have a retirement match, and go out there and do something with one of the young guys.”

I Could Do That: Booker T

Booker T said that he would love to do something with a talent like Trick Williams. When his co-host suggested the idea of hosting the match at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia next year, the Hall of Famer seemed very excited at the possibility:

“Doing something with somebody that I really, really love what they’re doing as far as what Trick Williams is doing right now. Heck yeah, man…of course I would do it. But I would definitely have to get myself ready for something like that. It would have to be next year at ‘Mania. Yeah, I could do that.”

The former World Champion has not wrestled a proper match under the WWE banner since 2012. Though he does enter the ring from time to time for his Reality of Wrestling promotion, having last done so in January 2025.
