  • Impact Star Daga Reportedly Granted Release

2020 has been a year of releases with many big names becoming free agents and jumping ships and now another name seems to have joined the list in Impact Wrestling star Daga.

According to reports from WrestlingInc, the high flying star had asked for his release from the company a while back and the officials have now granted his request.

Daga made his Impact debut in February last year and the company had held off his release request while trying to re-sign him but the management did not succeed in their efforts.

The now-former Impact star is probably best known for his time with AAA in Mexico where he spent six years of his career from 2011 to 2017 and won multiple titles, including the AAA cruiserweight championship once.

He was asked about a potential AEW signing last year but Daga had confirmed that he hasn\’t talked to the promotion, though he had shown interest in growing his name in the American market.

Now it would be interesting to see where the former Impact star goes next after his release and if WWE or AEW officials show any interest in signing the Mexican wrestler to their promotion in the coming times.

  • Several WWE Venues Investigated As COVID Hotspots, WWE Responds

WWE has been criticized by many for gathering people and running shows during the coronavirus pandemic but it appears that their troubles might just be getting started. Latest reports have confirmed that The Orange County, Florida Department of Health is investigating several of the WWE arenas as potential locations where the coronavirus might be spreading.

The health department has asked their Strike Team to look into a total of 17 business locations as potential coronavirus hotspots including a number of bars and fitness centers. The list of places also includes several sites associated with WWE and the locations include the NXT arena at Full Sail University campus, WWE Performance Center, and the WWE ThunderDome at the Amway Arena.

A WWE spokesperson issued the following response to the story explaining that their arenas are not open to the public and they are producing shows with only the essential personnel in attendance:

\”WWE is not open to the public, but rather operating on a closed set with only essential personnel in attendance. As part of on-going weekly testing protocols, Aventus Labs have administered more than 10,000 PCR tests to WWE performers, employees, production staff and crew resulting in only 1.5 percent positive cases as compared to the current national average of more than 5%. Additionally, extensive contact tracing takes place and impacted individuals are placed in 14-day quarantine and then only cleared after they test negative.\”

There is no word yet on what kind of action the health department could take against the company. We will keep you updated on any development in the story.

  • How Goldberg Reacted To The Ending Of His Undefeated Streak

Goldberg\’s name had become a synonym with his undefeated streak and it made him one of the biggest attractions for WCW until the decision was made to end this record run.

On the latest episode of the Keepin\’ it 100 podcast, Disco Inferno who was part of the WCW roster during the time period, revealed how the former world champion reacted backstage after his loss.

Goldberg was worried about his future with the company after the loss. In fact, he felt that he was getting buried:

\”He was like talking about like an appearance he had to make or something and started talking like, \’if they even want me now?\’ Like he was thinking, like he got completely buried.

This was his first loss. Right? Nash was showering and then when Nash was drying, Nash asked Bill, he goes, \’Do I have heat over this?\’ Bill was like, \’nah, nah, nah man. No. Not at all. I\’m not talking about you. And I\’ll never get that.\”

Goldberg made his WCW debut in September 1997 and he quickly became an attraction due to his monstrous look and the undefeated streak which saw him picking victories over the likes of Scott Hall and Hollywood Hogan.

After 173 consecutive wins, the former WCW star\’s streak came to an end at Starrcade 1998 when Kevin Nash defeated him thanks to the interference from Scott Hall. Goldberg continued being a top star for the company in the following years until the promotion was sold to WWE.

  • Gallows And Anderson On If They Are Planning To Retire Anytime Soon

Gallows and Anderson have started a number of new business ventures since leaving WWE and it has made many wonder if this is a sign that their days in the ring are numbered.

The Good Brothers were recently interviewed by Entrepreneur.com where they talked about things like their future business plans, getting released from WWE and more.

During the interview, Gallows and Anderson were asked if the new projects they have undertaken are a sign that they are planning their retirement and the two responded negatively:

\”We are not counting down the days until then. We want to be out there when we\’re 50 if we can be. There\’s a chance our bodies don\’t hold up, so we want this brand that we\’re creating now to be the thing that carries us into the next thing.\”

The fact that the duo decided to sign with Impact Wrestling and make the company their home base in the US surprised a lot of people because many were hoping Gallows and Anderson to sign with AEW.

When asked about it, the duo claimed that Impact officials put together a very good deal for them and they explained that the company is promoting them as their top stars. You can check out the full interview at this link.

  • AJ Styles Gets New Bodyguard On Raw (Video)

AJ Styles has got a new bodyguard on Raw.

Reports first came out earlier yesterday that the company was planning to give the Phenomenal One a bodyguard after his move to Raw during the latest WWE drafts.

Styles then confirmed these reports when he came out with Jordan Omogbehin on his side during this week\’s episode of the Red Branded show.

The former World Champion had a match with Matt Riddle on the show but the bout was delayed a bit because Omogbehin refused to leave the ring. He only left when the referee threatened to disqualify AJ and started a 5 count.

His new bodyguard then also helped AJ Styles in picking up the victory against his opponent. He intimidated Riddle outside the ring by forming a fist and when a terrified Riddle ran back to the ring, he was caught by a Styles Clash:

Though this is not Jordan\’s first main roster appearance and the 26-year-old star has previously appeared on Raw Underground as a bouncer. He was also used as a ninja in Akira Tozawa\’s group.

There is no word yet on where WWE is planning to go with this storyline and it would be interesting to see where this development leads us.

  • Gangrel Reveals Which AEW Star Was Originally Supposed To Get Christian\’s Spot In The Brood

The Brood was a staple of the Attitude Era and the group helped launch the careers of both Edge and Christian. However, the leader of the group Gangrel recently revealed that the latter wasn\’t originally going to be a part of the stable.

The Attitude Era star recently joined Chris Van Vliet for an interview on his YouTube channel where he talked about things like the formation of the group, their theme music and more.

During the interview, Gangrel was asked if the intention of the stable was always to launch the career of Edge. Replying to it, the wrestling veteran confirmed the theory and went on to praise the Rated R Superstar:

\”Absolutely, 100 percent. They told me from day one it was to help bring Edge in and get around. He was just a great human being; there\’s something special about him. There\’s a lot of people.

You\’ll go through the world and meet a tremendous amount of people, and shake a lot of hands, and you\’ll meet a handful of people that are just really good people, and he\’s a really good person.\”

Gangrel also revealed that Christian wasn\’t originally going to be a part of the group: \”Edge brought him in [through the] back door to go, that was supposed to be [Christopher] Daniels\’ spot,\”

Apart from this, the former WWE star talked about things like being part of the WWE roster during the Attitude Era, their feud with the Ministry of Darkness and more. You can check out his full interview below:

  • Paul Heyman Teases Secret WWE Contract Extension For Ronda Rousey

With reports confirming that Ronda Rousey\’s current WWE contract expires shortly after WrestleMania 37, fans are wondering if and when we\’ll see the former UFC star return to the ring. During an interview with the New York Post this week, Paul Heyman shed some new light on the situation.

Heyman addressed the buzz surrounding some recent pictures of Rousey training in a pro wrestling ring, suggesting she\’s gearing up for a WWE return. The ECW mastermind floated the possibility that Rousey might have signed a contract extension with the company.

\”That\’s another funny thing about people who don\’t discuss their business in public forums, everyone presumes that Ronda Rousey\’s contract expires at a certain time,\” said Heyman. \”I don\’t understand why people don\’t realize that perhaps, just perhaps, Ronda Rousey\’s contract has been extended or she has worked out a new deal and it would not benefit either WWE or Ronda Rousey to go public with that information. But why wouldn\’t people understand that it would be kept secret?\”

Paul Heyman also implied that if Ronda Rousey does make her in-ring return, it will be on a big stage which rules out the possibility of the most dangerous woman on the planet making an appearance at WWE Thunderdome.

Apart from this, Paul also labeled Rousey as a trailblazer and said that the next time you see her; she will be making history in whatever she does.

  • Wade Barrett On How Long It Will Take Him To Get Back In The Ring Shape

Wade Barrett has shown interest in making an in-ring return after joining the NXT brand as a commentator and he has also exchanged words with the current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in recent times.

However one of the biggest hurdles in the former Nexus Leader\’s way back to in-ring action would be his physical shape. During a recent interview with BT Sport, the WWE star revealed how long it will take him to get back in the ring shape.

Barrett explained that even though he is not in the ring shape at the moment, he is still in good shape and claimed that he will need about three months to get his ring rust off:

\”I\’m not in ring shape at the moment, but I\’m in good shape. To get in ring shape I will probably need three months of knocking out that ring rust to step back in the ring, but currently, my focus is purely on the announcing booth in NXT.\”

Wade Barrett also reiterated his words about possibly getting back in the ring if the right opportunity arises and discussed how there are many WWE stars who are older than him and are still doing great work.

Do you think Wade Barrett should make an in-ring return at this stage of his career and who would be the best opponent for his return match? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

  • Shane Helms Provides Update On His WWE Status

WWE has brought back a number of people after moving to Thunderdome who they fired or furloughed during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic but unfortunately, Shane Helms is not one of them.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with WrestlingInc where he talked about things like working with the boss Vince McMahon and more.

During the talk, Helms also provided an update on his status with the company and the former cruiserweight champion confirmed that he is still on furlough:

\”Yeah, I guess it\’s a furloughing, until I go back. To me, it\’s the same thing as being released if I go back or whatever, April 15, Tax Day, of course, always sucks but it wasn\’t anything that was unexpected for me anyway.\”

Shane Helms also talked about how his interactions with the Boss Vince McMahon have changed over the years and he explained that what Mr. McMahon wants from a producer is very different than what he wants from a wrestler.

The star formerly known as Hurricane Helms went on to praise the chairman of the boards saying that McMahon is a visionary guy and one of the hardest working human beings. You can check out his full interview at this link.

MVP has revealed in previous interviews that his WWE return was only expected to be a one-night deal but plans changed and he ended up sticking around for a longer run.

Since then the former US Champion has signed a new contract with the company and during a recent interview, he explained how his WWE return was arranged.

MVP recently talked to SportBible and during the interview, he revealed that it was him who had reached out to the company for a return and according to the former Impact star, he was blown away by their response:

\”At the time, my intentions were only to come back for the Royal Rumble so my son, who is now a massive wrestling fan, could see daddy perform. It was a surprise for him and I had his mother and sister bring him out.

\”When I contacted WWE and asked about coming back as a surprise entry, I was blown away by how happy they were to have me. They got floor seats for my little boy so he could have a great experience, and he got to meet Rey Mysterio.\”

MVP later explained that Paul Heyman who was the Executive Director of Raw at the time, arranged a match between him and Rey Mysterio and the company ended up offering him a position as a producer afterward.

Apart from this, the wrestling veteran talked about things like the formation of the Hurt Business, the future of Bobby Lashley and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

  • Teddy Long On His Favorite Role In WWE

Teddy Long played a number of roles during his long tenure with WWE and he served as a referee, manager, and most prominently an authority figure during his time with the company.

The Hall Of Famer recently had an interview with Hannibal where he talked about a number of things and also revealed which one of his WWE roles he prefers.

Long claimed that he prefers being the General Manager because he learned a lot during his various tenures as the GM of different WWE brands:

“Well, I prefer being the GM, because, with the GM [role], I had to not only get that role, you know, entertain the people — it helped me. I learned a lot because you had to learn a lot when you walked out on the TV and you stayed out there as much as I did.

You had to learn how to keep that audience, you know? How to keep people where they’re not tired of looking at you or not tired of seeing you either.\” said Teddy Long \”When they do see you, they’re ready to see you.”

The former WWE star continued by praising his boss Vince McMahon saying that McMahon knew when to put him out there and when not and it\’s something he is now able to share with the young guys.

Teddy Long joined WWE in 1998 as a referee and he went on to portray a number of other roles in the company. He is probably best known for his two tenures as the General Manager of SmackDown lasting a total of six years.

  • Paul Heyman Provides Update On \’Free Agent\’ Brock Lesnar\’s Status

People have been wondering when we are gonna see Brock Lesnar back on WWE TV since his contract expired in April and his advocate Paul Heyman recently provided some updates on The Beast Incarnate\’s status.

The former Raw Executive Director appeared on Ariel Helwani\’s MMA Show where he talked about a number of things and also discussed the future of his client.

While Heyman ruled out a possible UFC return for the former Universal Champion, he explained that Lesnar\’s return depends on a number of factors:

\”It depends on if there\’s a worthy challenger and enough box office appeal, right now, he\’s very happy being a farmer and a magnificent father to his children.

However, if there\’s something that WWE can offer that intrigues, motivates, or inspires Lesnar, and if the money is right and the business is solid, I\’m sure he would be willing to do it,\”

    Why Lesnar Hasn\’t Returned

Paul confirmed that the former UFC star remains a free agent after the expiry of his contract and he claimed that Brock\’s comeback hasn\’t happened because a worthy offer isn\’t there:

\”At this moment, it [a comeback] hasn\’t happened because it [a worthy offer] isn\’t there. Again, the world changes with the snap of a finger. It could be tomorrow when Lesnar says, \’Oh, that intrigues me.\’ Again, it’s not just a sound byte, but Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.\”

Paul Heyman has aligned himself with Roman Reigns in the absence of his long-term client and he has helped the Big Dog recapture the Universal title.

However, this dynamic will change when Brock Lesnar makes his return to WWE programming and it would be interesting to see which side Heyman picks when the Beast makes his comeback.

  • Jon Moxley Reveals If He Ever Compares His Work To Roman Reigns

Jon Moxley has been the AEW World Champion throughout the pandemic and he has been the unofficial face of the company through the ordeal.

The former WWE star has found himself in a similar position to his former college and best friend Roman Reigns and during a recent interview, the AEW Champion revealed if he ever compares himself to the Big Dog.

Mox had an interview with Sports Illustrated ahead of the anniversary episode of Dynamite and when asked if he ever compares his work to Roman, the former Dean Ambrose claimed that he doesn\’t pay much attention to it:

\”I don\’t pay much attention or compare myself to anybody else, for me, it\’s all about visualizing what I want in my head and then actualizing it in the ring. I just want to create my own vision, so I\’m not comparing that with anyone else.\”

Jon Moxley also talked about being the guy who is carrying the torch during a pandemic and he revealed that he didn\’t picture himself in a good-guy, protagonist role when he first joined the promotion.

Apart from this, the former WWE Champion talked about things like his match with Lance Archer, how coronavirus has forced them to change a lot of plans and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

  • Finn Balor Provides Update Days After Jaw Surgery

Finn Balor had recently posted a photo on Twitter confirming a successful surgery for his broken jaw which he suffered during his recent match with Kyle O\’Reilly.

The NXT champion provided some details about his surgery in an Instagram post recently and he confirmed that the operation actually took place this past Friday.

Finn revealed in the post that one of the fractures had gone into his tooth. The doctors had to remove that tooth and his jaw was then wired shut to restore his bite and help align the fractures.

The surgeons then screwed three plates in to fixate the fractures and the former Universal Champion confirmed that no wires were needed after the operation.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CGQ47SChNSi/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading

What\’s interesting to note here is that while WWE has not provided a timeline for Balor\’s comeback, the former Raw star himself noted that he is hoping for a quick recovery.

Previous reports have revealed that the company is actually making his injury worse than it is and the current champion is not expected to miss a lot of time.

While an actual timetable for his return is not known yet, the usual recovery time for a broken jaw is six weeks and it would be interesting to see how soon Finn Balor is able to recover and return to in-ring action.

Finn Balor posted this photo to social media on Wednesday, less than one week removed from jaw surgery.

  • Update On Plans For Andrade & Mickie James Following WWE Draft

Several talents were left undrafted after the 2020 Draft concluded with this week\’s episode of Raw and after WWE announced some more draft picks during the night, there are two talents which have been left without a brand.

Pwinsider recently provided some updates on the future of both these stars in Mickie James and Andrade. According to their report, the plan as of this past Monday night was for both Andrade and Mickie James to join the Raw roster:

\”As of last night, the plan is for the Andrade and Mickie James, the two talents left undrafted following the 2020 Draft to land on the Monday Night Raw roster.\”

There has also been some buzz of Andrade moving back to the NXT brand.

Meanwhile, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer believes that Vince McMahon never \”got it\” with Andrade. When Paul Heyman was removed as the Executive Director of WWE Raw earlier this year, Andrade lost a key ally.

The 2020 edition of WWE Draft saw a number of big stars changing brands including names like Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, and the Fiend being moved to different rosters. You can check out the updated rosters of Raw and SmackDown after both nights of Draft at this link.

  • Former NXT Star Confirms Signing With AEW

Former NXT and Impact Wrestling star Ivelisse has made several sporadic appearances for AEW in recent times and now she has officially confirmed her signing with the promotion.

The female star recently had a virtual Q&A session with Pro Wrestling Junkies where she talked about things like rumours of having a backstage altercation with Thuder Rosa and more.

When a fan asked her about her status with AEW, Ivelisse confirmed for the first time that she has signed with the promotion and explained that it was a very emotional moment for her:

\”Actually, since you asked – I haven\’t been able to officially confirm anywhere yet, but I can confirm right now– and I asked if it was okay – that I am indeed signed to AEW,

Honestly, when that moment came, it was very emotional for me.\” said Ivelisse, \”Through the last couple of years have been really tough for me for so many reasons. Number one, the Lucha Underground thing and being kept through our contracts and all of that.\”

The former WWE star also talked about her experience at All Elite Wrestling being much better than the \’traumatizing experience\’ she has had while dealing with past promotions.

She admitted that she struggled with anxiety while competing at Lucha Underground and Ivelisse claimed that she was in complete awe of how much better her experience was at AEW.

  • Shawn Michaels vs. Eddie Guerrero WrestleMania Dream Match Was Discussed

Bruce Prichard was part of the backstage WWE crew for over two decades and he was involved in the planning of many big angles and matches that took place over the years of his employment.

On the latest episode of his Something To Wrestle With podcast, Prichard revealed one such WrestleMania match they had planned involving the late great Eddie Guerrero which couldn\’t take place.

Prichard revealed that the idea of a dream match between Guerrero and the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels was being kicked around for WrestleMania 22:

\”It was kicked around as a possibility because they never worked together, and that was, at least in my head, a dream match,\” said Prichard. \”That was one of those that I definitely would love to have seen.\”

However, the talks of a match between the two legends never came to fruition because Eddie Guerrero, unfortunately, passed away due to heart failure in November 2005, six months prior to the big event.

The changed direction for Shawn Michaels then saw the former DX member competing against the WWE chairman Vince McMahon in a No Holds Barred match at the show. Michaels won this bout after delivering a diving elbow drop from the top of a ladder to McMahon, followed by the Sweet Chin Music.

  • Mustafa Ali Reacts To WWE Scrapping Retribution Segment From Raw

WWE had announced a number of segments for this week\’s episode of Raw and one of them included Mustafa Ali addressing the WWE Universe after being revealed as the leader of Retribution.

However, the segment never took place during the broadcast of the episode and fans were left wondering about the group as they did not make an appearance anywhere else in the show either.

Though the new stable was mentioned during the show and they were drafted to Raw as a group. They were chosen as the first picks during the third round.

Mustafa Ali apparently reacted to this change in schedule on Twitter and the Retribution leader made a tweet during the third hour of the show.

He also commented on Retribution being drafted to Raw during the draft. He tweeted a menacing message, \”Why invite demise to your door?”

There is no word yet on why the company nixed the announced Retribution segments but the last time WWE unexpectedly removed mentions of the group on their programming, it was because of a COVID-19 outbreak in the company.

Now it would be interesting to see if the group returns to WWE TV next week and if the nixed segment takes place during the upcoming episode of Raw.

  • Updated: Former NXT Champion Among Names To Become Free Agents After Draft

Update: WWE revealed some additional draft picks over the night. They announced that Erik of the Viking Raiders has been picked up by Raw while Billie Kay, Zelina Vega, and Tamina Snuka have all been drafted to SmackDown.

The WWE drafts continued on night two of the event during this week\’s episode of Monday Night Raw and supplement draft picks were made on the Raw Talk following the show as well.

However, even after this, a number of high profile names have been left undrafted and per the rules, they have now become free agents and they are free to sign with the brand of their choosing..

The names which have become free agents after not being drafted include Andrade, Billie Kay, Erik, Tamina Snuka, Zelina Vega, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Mickie James.

Out of these 8, the most interesting names to have not been picked up during the TV drafts have to be of Andrade and the former IIconics member Billie Kay.

There were reports of Paul Heyman being high on both Aleister Black and Andrade before he was removed from the position of Executive Director of Raw and this change made people curious about the future of both the stars.

While WWE looks to have plans for Aleister Black who has recently turned heel, the fact that the former NXT and US Champion Andrade was not even drafted is making fans worried.

Similarly, it was said that Vince McMahon was a fan of Peyton Royce and after the break up of IIconics and latest drafts, the future does not look very bright for Billie Kay and we will have to see if the company has any plans for her.

  • Sami Zayn Reveals Who Came Up With The Finish For Their IC Title Ladder Match At Clash Of Champions

The Clash Of Champions PPV saw Sami Zayn winning a brutal Intercontinental Championship ladder match in a pretty unique fashion, which became one of the talking points coming out of the show.

The former NXT champion was competing against AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy in the bout and he actually handcuffed both his opponents before going on to win the match.

During his recent interview with Metro UK, Zayn was asked if the brilliant finish was the idea of Sami himself or any other competitor of the bout and he revealed that it was Jamie Noble who came up with the spot:

\”I wish I could take all the credit for that [ending], but actually Jamie Noble\’s a real genius, he doesn\’t get the credit he deserves.\”

Sami then went on to praise the match saying that he is really proud of it and he explained that it was a great match because it had a little bit of everything:

\”I think it was a really good match, and I\’m really proud of it, it had what I like about wrestling, which is a little bit of everything. There was a lot of character work; there was a lot of just good in ring action, some spectacular stunts, and some dramatic storytelling.

That\’s the cocktail I like about pro wrestling. I like when many different elements come together, and that\’s what I feel like that match was, for me.\”

Apart from this, Sami Zayn also talked about the match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso at the same PPV and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

  • Wade Barrett Reveals The Match Which Could Tempt Him To Make In Ring Return

The recent NXT return of Wade Barrett as a commentator has made fans wonder about a possible in-ring return for the former wrestler and the WWE star himself has not declined the possibility.

During his recent interview with DigitalSpy, the former Nexus leader talked about a number of things and revealed the match which can tempt him to return to the squared circle.

Barrett first mentioned how he never won the WWE championship during his original run with the company. He then talked about the current champion Drew McIntyre holding the title and claimed that the opportunity to take the belt off McIntyre could tempt him to return for a match or two:

\”The only thing I didn\’t achieve in WWE that I always wanted to achieve was to become the WWE Champion, and that title is now held by an old friend of mine, Drew McIntyre. So taking him on for that title is something that certainly might tempt me back for a match or two.\”

Though while continuing, the former champion expressed that even if he makes a comeback, his return wouldn\’t be for a long run and according to Wade Barrett, if he returned, then he would be chasing the sunset of his career:

\”In truth, if I was to come back as a full-time in-ring guy, I really would be chasing the sunset of my career. I don\’t think there\’s that many more years left in me,\”

Apart from this, Wade Barrett talked about things like his love for music, the possibility of a UK PPV and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

  • Possible Spoilers For Night Two Of Drafts On Raw

Night one of the WWE Draft saw a number of big stars including the likes of Seth Rollins and the New Day switching brands and latest reports suggest that we can see some more major changes at Monday\’s Raw.

Dave Meltzer talked about the draft on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and revealed that the plans call for the Raw tag team champions Street Profits to be drafted to SmackDown.

Since the company has already drafted the SmackDown tag team champions Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston to Raw, this would lead to the two teams replacing their titles with each other.

Another star who was originally slated to change brands was the former Universal Champion Braun Strowman and while not confirmed, this could be announced during the night two of the WWE draft.

Since the Raw women\’s champion Asuka is staying on her home brand, it\’s expected that the SmackDown women\’s champion Bayley will be staying on the Blue Brand as well but it\’s something that is not confirmed.

The night two of the WWE draft will be taking place on this week\’s episode of Monday Night Raw. You can check out the current standing WWE rosters of Raw and SmackDown at this link.

Dominik Mysterio made an impressive debut at the SummerSlam event and since then he has gone on to wrestle several more matches including a tag match where he got to team with his father, Rey Mysterio.

However, the match which people think will draw big money is a fight between the two family members and during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, the young star talked about this possibility.

Dominik was asked if he will be willing to step in the ring with his father at some point in future. Replying to it, the WWE star said that it won\’t happen anytime soon but he\’ll be open to the idea:

\”Yes, most definitely. I think that\’ll be — that\’s still a long time from now, but I remember all the spankings he gave me as a kid. So, I\’m sure our match will come,\”

Mysterio also addressed a concern fans have about the age of his father and when asked how close Rey is to retiring, Dominik claimed that he doesn\’t feel like the wrestling legend is going to call it quits anytime soon:

\”I don\’t think he\’s been close to retiring yet. He\’s always felt really good. His left knee has been through multiple surgeries, and other than that, he\’s still going.

And I always ask him because he\’ll jump in the ring with me and train, and I\’ll ask him, \’Hey, how are you feeling? You\’re feeling good?\’ And he\’s like, \’Yeah, I feel great\’. I don\’t think he\’s going to call quits anytime soon.\”

Dominik Mysterio also talked about a number of other things like Rey Mysterio\’s match with Fit Finlay at Cyber Sunday 2017, his dream matches and more.

  • James Storm Explains Why He Left Impact Wrestling

James Storm was one of the stars who helped build TNA and he spent almost 15 years in the promotion in his two stints before leaving the company in 2017.

During a recent interview with Lucha Libre Online, the former TNA star talked about a number of things and he also detailed the reasons behind his departure from the promotion.

\”I had been there for 15 years and, I don\’t know, I just kind of wanted to do something different, I still love Impact; I still wish nothing but the best for Impact Wrestling, but it was my time to step away from Impact.

\”At that time, I didn\’t know really who was running the company, you had Dixie, you had the Harris brothers, then you had Anthem out of Canada, then you had Billy Corgan,\” said James Storm, \”So it was just like, okay, I don\’t know who my boss is.\”

The Cowboy also revealed during the interview that he wanted to leave a year before his deal was up because he felt that the company was not utilising him while he had a lot left to give.
