Nikki Bella Police

Nikki Bella admitted she was pulled over twice in a single month for speeding, and her best defense in both cases amounted to confessing that she was speeding by a little less than the officers claimed. The WWE Hall of Famer, now known as Nikki Garcia, shared the story on her podcast with sister Brie Bella.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show (Spotify), Nikki copped to the lead foot after Brie joked that Bryan Danielson drives so slowly she has to remind him of the speed limit.

“I’m not going to lie, I have been pulled over twice this past month for speeding,” Nikki said.

The first stop, which she called “uncalled for,” involved an officer clocking her at 41 in a 25 mph zone. Nikki disputed the reading, though her counter-number was not exactly an acquittal.

“One was so uncalled for. He was, ‘You were going 41 in a 25.’ And I go, ‘Actually, actually I was going…’ I mean, I was going like 35,” she said.

When Brie pointed out that 35 in a 25 is still speeding, Nikki conceded the math but not the principle. “No, but so in no ways I was like, ‘I’m not going to argue,’ but I did tell him, ‘I disagree,’” she said.

Round Two In Virginia

The second ticket came in Virginia, where an officer told her she was doing 75 in a 55 mph zone. Once again, Nikki pushed back, but only to shave off a few miles per hour.

“I just got pulled over again in Virginia and I was like… he goes, ‘You were going 75 in a 55.’ And I was like… ‘Actually, no, I wasn’t. I was going 70,’” she said.

Nikki said she even questioned the location of the speed limit signs, claiming both officers eventually walked back their numbers.

“And then I was like, ‘But where was the sign?’ It was a freeway, in the woods, whatever. Did come back and one was like, ‘OK, well maybe you were going 38.’ And this one was like, ‘Well maybe you were going like 70 too.’ And I’m like, ‘So you don’t even know the exact speed I was going. It’s not the end of the month. Do you really need a ticket?’ But I got two tickets,” she said.

Brie offered the practical reality check her sister did not want to hear, warning that her insurance was about to go up. Nikki admitted she was fuming despite trying to keep her cool.

“Thanks. I know. You know when you try not to get really mad but, like, you’re so mad,” she said.

Nikki disagreed with the cops, disagreed with the radar, and questioned the signs. She still walked away with two tickets in one month. You can catch more from Nikki in her recent WWE return update.
