A competitor tied to the Real American Freestyle promotion launched by Eric Bischoff and the late WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is facing a felony aggravated battery charge after a bachelor party in Florida allegedly turned into a brutal assault. Georgio Poullas, 26, is accused of punching a groom to the ground, slamming the groom’s brother through a glass coffee table, and continuing the attack with punches, knee strikes, and choking.
According to a police report first obtained by Boca Daily News, Poullas and his brother Nicholas were taken into custody on June 5 after an oceanfront Airbnb gathering on Rhodes Villa Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida descended into a brawl. By the time officers arrived, several people had fled the scene, and police later located the brothers “completely concealed” inside a bush at a neighboring residence with the help of a K-9 unit.
The Alleged Bachelor Party Brawl
Police were dispatched to the Airbnb after reports of a large fight involving multiple people. A probable cause affidavit states that Georgio and Nicholas Poullas were allegedly “harassing” their sister, the bride-to-be, at what was both a bachelor and bachelorette celebration.
The situation escalated when the groom and his brother attempted to intervene after Nicholas allegedly pushed the future bride. Investigators say Georgio Poullas then punched the groom in the face, knocking him to the ground, and continued striking him with punches to the back of the head and kicks to the ribs while the groom covered up. The victim later told officers the attack felt like he was being “curb stomped.”
When the groom’s brother stepped in, police allege that Poullas “intentionally grabbed the groom’s brother and slammed him onto a glass coffee table” in the living room, then continued attacking with punches and knee strikes while choking him.
Emergency responders treated the groom’s brother for multiple bleeding lacerations to his hands and above one eye. The groom reportedly suffered a cut to his upper lip and a hematoma around his left eye and brow.
Charges And Court Date
Authorities charged Georgio Poullas with felony aggravated battery, alleging that he “intentionally or knowingly causes great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement.” His occupation was listed in the report as “YouTuber.”
He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail before being released after posting a $1,500 bond. Nicholas Poullas was charged with misdemeanor simple battery. Georgio is scheduled to return to court on July 9.
