JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day recently paid tribute to Sheamus on Instagram following the latter’s exit from WWE.

Sheamus reacted to his own exit on social media with a lengthy post that leaned into his “Banger After Banger” catchphrase, before signing off in Irish: “slán mo WWE chairde,” which translates roughly to “goodbye my WWE friends.” He signed the message with his real name, S. Farrelly.

McDonagh posted a photo alongside Sheamus with the caption:

“Until the next one, Sheamo. Thanks for everything.”

The gesture highlights the camaraderie between the two, with McDonagh publicly acknowledging his fellow Irishman as word of Sheamus’s departure spread.

McDonagh and Sheamus crossed paths in the ring during their WWE run, meeting in one singles match on the October 27, 2025 edition of WWE Raw. McDonagh came out on top in that encounter.

McDonagh, whose real name is Jordan Devlin, remains an active member of the Raw roster and part of The Judgment Day. The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and two-time World Tag Team Champion recently underwent wrist surgery, announcing time away from in-ring competition to focus on recovery.

Even while sidelined, McDonagh has stayed active on social media, keeping tabs on his stablemates and the wider locker room. His farewell to Sheamus offers the latest example of the tight-knit relationships behind the scenes.
