CM Punk Advertised For Several WWE Shows

CM Punk in a WWE Ring

The Allstate Arena appears to be jumping the gun on WWE when it comes to CM Punk.

The Chicago-area venue is independently advertising Punk, alongside Stephanie Vaquer, for the July 6 episode of Monday Night Raw. The curious part is that WWE’s own website is withholding all talent listings for that same show. For both the July 6 Chicago event and the July 13 show in Dallas, WWE’s site reads, “Featured Superstar information for this event is not yet available.” The venue, by contrast, has no such hesitation, listing both Punk and Vaquer on its event page.

Punk has not appeared on WWE television since his segment with Cody Rhodes on the Raw following WrestleMania 42 in April. Recent reports have indicated that WWE plans to shift Punk to SmackDown upon his return, though Punk is said to be pushing hard to make his comeback on the July 6 Raw in his hometown of Chicago.

Adding to the intrigue, WWE is advertising Punk for a string of upcoming Raw episodes well into August. Those dates include:

  • July 20 in Detroit, Michigan
  • July 27 in Los Angeles, California
  • August 3 in Des Moines, Iowa

As always, WWE notes that its cards are subject to change, and that caveat is worth remembering here. Punk was advertised for several Raw episodes in June, as well as the European Summer Tour, yet he did not end up appearing.
