  • Jazmyn Nyx Reacts To How WWE Wrote Her Off NXT TV

Jazmyn Nyx was found laid out backstage during the September 23, episode of WWE NXT, in what would be her final appearance on TV. One day later, Nyx confirmed that she would be leaving WWE as she chose not to re-sign.

On The Ariel Helwani Show, Nyx was asked for her reaction to how she was written off, admitting that \”I can\’t really control or have a say in that.\” While Nyx had no say over her WWE TV departure, she said that it \”makes sense how I was written off.\” Nyx noted how she and her Fatal Influence allies Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley \”were already having beef and having arguments\” on TV.

Nyx\’s attacker was later revealed to be Laney Reid, who has replaced Nyx in the faction. On-screen, Reid shared that she realizes that Fatal Influence\’s attitude of winning by any means was right for her, and she is now a regular alongside Jayne and Henley.

Leaving WWE was a difficult decision for Jazmyn Nyx, who has shared that she is open to a return to the company. With Nyx having no issue with the end of her time on TV, fans shouldn\’t count out a comeback down the line.

  • ESPN Kicks Off NBA Season With WWE-Inspired Intro

WWE and ESPN recently kicked off their massive partnership, one that has seen ESPN become home to WWE\’s ongoing Premium Live Events. On October 21, the NBS season kicked off as part of ESPN, and the event egan with a WWE flair.

The intro for ESPN\’s coverage of the NBA season used WWE\’s signature \’The Power is Back\’ intro, as well as graphics inspired by WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown.

WWE\’s first PLE as part of the ESPN family was Wrestlepalooza in September. The show was given a mediocre \’C\’ grade, citing a lack of big moments for what had been a much-hyped show. WWE Crown Jewel: Perth was given a more favorable \’B\’ grade, with the AJ Styles Vs. John Cena match given an \’A\’ grade.

The worlds of WWE and NBA have been intertwined in the past, with WWE 2K25 being home to multiple NBA stars. In February of this year, Bayley took to the court as part of an NBA Celebrity All-Star Game, though her team came up short.

This intro continues to demonstrate the deepening ties between WWE and ESPN. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from this partnership.

  • Maxxine Dupri Won\’t Back Down After DQ Win Over Becky Lynch

Maxxine Dupri didn\’t leave WWE Raw as the Women\’s Intercontinental Champion, but this isn\’t the end of the road for the Alpha Academy star. On Raw, Dupri battled Becky Lynch and earned a DQ win when Lynch hit her with the gold. As per the rules, the title couldn\’t change hands on a DQ, meaning Lynch remains the champion.

Backstage, Dupri shared her feelings about her win, which came in her hometown of Sacramento, California. While she was frustrated not to be leaving with the title, Dupri remains confident that her time will come.

\”That\’s still a hometown win! She may have choked me out, she may have hit me with her title, the title that I respect and she may have caused insane pain, but I still won in my hometown of Sacramento, baby. With my mom and dad in the front row.

\”Becky Lynch, I\’m coming for that title and you better stop running. I\’m up next!\”

Dupri has yet to hold gold in WWE, but continues to improve every time she steps in the ring. Two weeks before this title match, Durpi earned another victory over Lynch, albeit by countout.

Whether Maxxine Dupri is one day known as Women\’s Intercontinental Champion, time will tell. But with multiple wins over Becky Lynch, albeit in controversial fashion, Dupri is ready for another shot at the gold.

  • WWE Alum Scotty 2 Hotty Gets Engaged At Disney Family Farm

Former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty is officially off the market as the former Tag Team Champion is now engaged to be married. On Facebook, Scotty shared that he and his bride-to-be got engaged at the Disney Family Farm.

Scotty is best known for his time in WWE, where he was part of the company from 1997 to 2007. During that tenure, he held the WWE Tag Team Championships, the WWE World Tag Team Championships, and the Light Heavyweight Championships. In 2016, he returned as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center and would remain in the role until November 2021, when he asked for his release.

Scotty isn\’t the only wrestler preparing to take the bold step into marriage. In May of this year, Big E shared that he is engaged to Kris Yim, the sister of Michin. Mere weeks after her WWE release, Katana Chance announced her engagement in July. Over in AEW, Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor got engaged in June, with Ospreay making the news official on social media.

We here at SEScoops would like to congratulate Scotty and his fiancée on this joyous ocassion.

  • Mr. Iguana & La Parka Appear At WWE NXT, Halloween Havoc Match Made

The AAA influence was felt during the October 21, edition of WWE NXT, as Mr. Iguana and La Parka made a surprise appearance during the show. One of the night\’s matches saw TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater retain his title against Stacks. For the match, Je\’Von Evans was in the corner of Slater and the pair shared a promo after the match.

Evans said that he and Slater could face anyone from WWE, NXT, TNA Wrestling, or somewhere else. The pair was then interrupted by Mr. Iguana and La Parka. Iguana shared that Ava has approved a tag-team match between the two sides at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.

Mr. Iguana and La Parka are two of the most popular stars in AAA. Earlier this year, Mr. Iguana became a viral hit with wrestling fans after an appearance at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event. WWE wasted no time in capitalizing on his popularity as they created merch for him, including a puppet of his Iguana.

The October 21, episode of WWE NXT also saw Sol Ruca\’s time as Women\’s North American Champion come to an end. In the ring, Ruca vacated the gold due to an injury, and her ally Zaria will battle Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc.

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from that show.

  • Sol Ruca Injured, Zaria To Defend NXT Women\’s North American Title On Her Behalf At Halloween Havoc

Sol Ruca will miss WWE NXT Halloween Havoc due to injury, but the NXT Women\’s North American Championship will still be defended. During the October 21 edition of WWE NXT, Ruca was seen walking with a crutch and a knee brace, indicating that she was dealing with an injury.

Ruca was joined by Zaria and WWE NXT GM Ava in the ring, and acknowledged that she is injured. Rather than relinquishing her Women\’s North American Championship, Ruca announced that she will allow her tag team partner Zaria to defend the title on her behalf, as she doesn\’t know when she will be cleared.

Blake Monroe then interrupted and argued that she should be awarded the WWE NXT Women\’s North American Championship. Zaria took exception to this and a match between the two has been made for WWE NXT Halloween Havoc, with Zaria defending Ruca\’s title.

This situation is the latest setback for Ruca, who suffered a ruptured ACL in April 2023 that required surgery. That injury would force her to miss close to a year of in-ring action before she returned at WWE NXT Roadblock in March 2024.

At this time, Ruca remains both the NXT Women\’s North American Champion and the WWE Speed Women\’s Champion, though said she will address the future of the Speed Championship at a later date. It remains to be seen when Sol Ruca will be cleared to return to action.

  • Samantha Irvin Says She Has A Two-Year Non-Compete Clause With WWE

Samantha Irvin parted ways with WWE in October 2024, ending her time as a ring announcer on WWE TV and at PLEs. Irvin hasn\’t appeared for another wrestling promotion since then, and fans shouldn\’t expect that to change anytime soon.

Irvin recently reached the one-year anniversary of her decision to leave WWE. On X, Irvin shared that she has \”one year left on my non-compete,\” sharing that she has been dealing with a two-year clause. Irvin said she loves and misses wrestling fans and hopes to see them soon.

This non-compete clause is far longer than what typically awaits talent who leave WWE. While Irvin chose to leave, talent who are released are typically subjected to either a 30-day non-compete clause if cut from WWE NXT, or a 90-day clause if they\’re cut from the main roster.

WWE parted ways with Andrade recently, and it has been reported that the former WWE Speed Champion may be blocked from performing elsewhere for a year. These examples demonstrate how WWE continues to evolve its handling of talent under TKO Group Holdings.

Many believe Irvin will join her husband Ricochet in AEW, and Irvin has already been referenced on AEW programming. Whatever the future holds for Samantha Irvin in pro wrestling, fans will have to wait at least another year to find out.

  • Chelsea Green Shares Update After Fairmont Hotels Staff Mistake Her For An Escort

In 2024, WWE Superstar Chelsea Green was confronted at a Fairmont Hotel after staff mistook the inaugural United States Champion for an escort. At the time, Fairmont apologized and offered Green a free stay but cashing this in is proving easier said than done.

On X, Green shared her original post from 2024. She added that after being offered a two-night stay at any location, this offer has now been rescinded.

    https://twitter.com/ImChelseaGreen/status/1980658099578191911

Green shared a message she received from Fairmont, who claimed that the offer was in-fact just for one location and not at any Fairmont establishment. The message also claimed that Green was given a year to make use of the offer and she failed to do so.

    https://twitter.com/ImChelseaGreen/status/1980658416797520078

As a WWE Superstar, Green travels around the world and stays in countless hotels as part of her work. While Green has plenty of options, odds are she won\’t be staying at a Fairmont hotel anytime soon.

  • Sheamus Launches His ‘Never Retiring’ Tour After WWE Raw

John Cena\’s in-ring retirement is looming, while fellow ex-WWE Champion AJ Styles will retire at some time in 2026. While some of wrestling\’s top stars are planning their goodbyes, Sheamus doesn\’t have any plans for a farewell just yet.

On the October 20, episode of WWE Raw, Sheamus was part of a battle royal to decide who would challenge for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. While Sheamus came up short in the match won by Jey Uso, he declared that the bout launched the start of his \”Never f***ing retiring\” tour.

While Sheamus has no plans to retire, he has considered hanging up his boots for good in the past. In 2020, Sheamus shared that he considered retiring during a hiatus from WWE programming. A concussion had left Sheamus considering ending his career before he decided against it.

In 2022, Sheamus addressed his in-ring future, sharing that \”I feel like I have got at least another 8 years in me.” This timeline would put Sheamus\’ retirement in 2030 at the very earliest, five years from now.

Sheamus is one of WWE\’s most decorated stars, though an Intercontinental Title reign continues to elude the Celtic Warrior. Even at 47 years old, the former World Champion has no plans to step away.

  • John Cena Makes Surprise Appearance At WWE Performance Center

The end of John Cena\’s in-ring career is in sight, and the WWE GOAT recently made a visit to the promotion\’s Performance Center in Florida. On X, WWE NXT Superstars Blake Monroe and Izzi Dame shared photos with the \’Never-Seen Seventeen.\’

John\’s appearance saw him give advice about the wrestling business, according to Dame. As one of the most successful professional wrestlers in history, the NXT roster is wise to pick the brain of John Cena.

John\’s in-ring career will end this December at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event. Despite rumors and speculation, John has vowed that this will indeed be his last match and that fans shouldn\’t expect any in-ring surprises after the show. Before Saturday Night\’s Main Event, John is expected to compete at Survivor Series, where it has been reported that an Intercontinental Title match against Dominik Mysterio could happen.

Whatever advice Cena gave at the PC, the Superstars of WWE NXT would be wise to take it on board. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on John Cena and his farewell tour.

  • Mickie James On WWE Return: I\’ve Achieved All Of My Goals

Mickie James was part of WWE\’s roster for years, where she held numerous titles during her tenure as a Superstar. Now, Mickie isn\’t counting out a return to WWE action, but believes she has already done all she set out to do in pro wrestling.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, James was asked about one more run with WWE. The newly-inducted TNA Wrestling Hall of Famer recalled a conversation with a friend, in which she was confident she could hang with today\’s crop of female Superstars.

\”I was having a conversation with someone, and they were like, ‘Oh, could you do one more run?’ And I was like, ‘Hell yeah, I could do one more run. I got it in me, you know?’\”

While James has it in her to have another run with WWE, she feels that she would have nothing left to prove. James reflected on her career which has seen her do everything she set out to do.

\”I’ve been really blessed. I think I set out and achieved all my goals.’ I don’t really have anything else to prove. I think I’ve proved everything that I could prove.\”

James has certainly had a career most women could only dream of, from WrestleMania victories to title wins, to Hall of Fame inductions. Though fans know to \’never say never\’ to a return, James isn\’t itching for a return to prove anything about her career.

  • Nikki Bella Returns On WWE Raw, Aligns With Stephanie Vaquer

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella made a return during the October 20 episode of WWE Raw, and aligned herself with the top woman of the red brand. During the show, Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer defeated Roxanne Perez. After the match, Perez and Raquel Rodriguez attacked Vaquer.

Nikki Bella then emerged and helped Vaquer fight off the Judgment Day duo. Vaquer and Nikki would nd the segment standing tall and hugged in the ring. Backstage, Nikki said that she wasn\’t going to let Perez and Raquel jump Vaquer, calling them sore losers.

While Nikki and Vaquer seemed friendly during Raw, fans online don\’t believe this alliance will last. On X, several fans suggested that this is building to a Nikki heel turn and a shot at Vaquer\’s Women\’s World Championship. Some pointed out how in 2018, Nikki was friendly with then-Raw Women\’s Champion Ronda Rousey before turning on her, setting up a title match at that year\’s WWE Evolution.

Nikki\’s most recent match came in September 2025, when she faced Asuka on Monday Night Raw. Time will tell what\’s next for Nikki, but the Hall of Famer certainly looked impressive during her return.

  • CM Punk Vs. Jey Uso Set For Vacant World Heavyweight Title At SNME

Seth Rollins\’ time as WWE World Heavyweight Champion has come to an end without the Architect being pinned or submitted for the gold. During the October 20, WWE Raw, Adam Pearce stripped Rollins of the title due to a serious shoulder injury. Pearce went on to reveal that Rollins will be on the shelf for “quite a while\” after recent surgery.

Pearce was interrupted by The Vision, now consisting of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. Breakker was in possession of the World Heavyweight Championship, but Pearce was given the title after he said please.

A new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at Saturday Night\’s Main Event in November. Pearce announced a battle royal that would determine who would challenge CM Punk at the event. Punk won a title opportunity that had originally been set for a match with Rollins before this injury.

WWE Raw\’s main event saw Jey Uso win the battle royal and the show ended with Jey and Punk having a face-off. Both men have held the World Heavyweight Championship in 2025. Jey won the gold at WrestleMania 41 while Punk had a brief reign at SummerSlam 2025.

Time will tell who is next to hold the World Heavyweight Championship. As for Seth Rollins, the Architect won\’t be in the ring anytime soon.

  • Cody Rhodes: WWE Doesn\’t Hit Record Gates With Me As A Heel

Cody Rhodes has been a clean-cut babyface since returning to WWE in 2022, and fans shouldn\’t expect that to change anytime soon. On X, a fan recently shared a clip of Rhodes as a heel during his brief tenure with Impact Wrestling. The fan acknowledged that Rhodes was \”a d**k\” back then, but said that he\’d be happy for a turn now.

This caught the attention of Rhodes, who argued that people think this heel promo is much better than it was. Rhodes added that him as a heel doesn\’t give WWE its \”3 biggest gates of all time,\” citing recent WrestleManias. While Rhodes has no intention of turning heel, he said his role as a villain in Impact was \”a fun step on the journey.\”

While Rhodes has no plans on turning heel, the idea has been teased on occasion. Earlier this year, The Rock wanted Rhodes to be his champion, as well as his \’soul.\’ Behind the scenes, WWE\’s Final Boss reportedly pushed for a Rhodes heel turn. The idea was rejected, with those in WWE believing that turning a naturally over babyface in Rhodes would be a bad idea.

Cody Rhodes was a heel for much of his first run with WWE but is ready to be a hero to fans of all ages. While some hope for the Cody Rhodes seen in that clip from Impact Wrestling, Rhodes is fine with leaving that step behind him in his journey.

  • WWE Alum Bobby \’Mo\’ Horne Of Men On A Mission Dead At 58

Former WWE Superstar Bobby Horne, better known to wrestling fans as Mo, has died at the age of 58. On Facebook, fellow WWE alum Leilani Kai broke the sad news.

\”It breaks my heart to hear that Bobby Horne, better known to wrestling fans as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, has passed away.
I first met Bobby when we were both traveling with the WWF in the mid-90s. He was always kind to me — always smiling, joking around, and treating everyone with respect. When you were new or didn’t quite fit in yet, Bobby had a way of making you feel welcome. That meant a lot back then, especially on those long road trips when being part of the locker room family mattered most. We also worked together many times later on the Carolina independent circuit, and he was just as genuine outside the spotlight as he was under it. He loved the business, loved the fans, and loved giving back. Bobby had that special kind of warmth that reminded you wrestling isn’t just about what happens in the ring — it’s about the people and memories that come with it. Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for every laugh, every kind word, and every night we shared on the road. You’ll be missed by all of us who knew you.”

Kai had shared in October 2025 that Horne was in the ICU with multiple health issues. At the time, Horne was dealing with a blood infection as well as pneumonia. At the time, Kai asked fans to pray for Bobby and his wife Denise.

Horne is best known for his time as ‘Mo’ of Men on a Mission, a rapping babyface group that arrived in the early 1990s. In 1994, Mo and Mabel captured the WWF Tag Team Championships during a tour of the UK, though lost the titles days later. In 1995, Mo became ‘Sir Mo’ after Mabel won that year’s King of the Ring tournament.

We here at SEScoops would like to share our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Bobby \’Mo\’ Horne at this sad time.

  • Kairi Sane Vows To Return As Champion After WWE Japan Tour

Kairi Sane will return to her native Japan with gold around her waist, according to the \’Pirate Princess\’ herself. On Instagram, Sane shared some photos of WWE\’s recent tour in Japan. In the caption, Sane shared what the experience meant to her.

\”Thank you very very much for all who came. Recently, I\’ve had a tough schedule and matches going on and my whole body has been covered in bruises, but anyway, I wanted to deliver the best performance to everyone who came to watch, and I gave it 1000% of my energy.\”

Sane wasn\’t just grateful for what had come, but is looking ahead to the future. While WWE has yet to confirm the next time the promotion will head to Japan, Sane is determined to return to her home as a champion.

\”I\’ll train harder and get stronger so I can make a triumphant return with the championship belt in my hand!\”

Sane is already a two-time WWE Women\’s Tag Team Champion, both reigns coming alongside Asuka. In 2017, Sane won the Mae Young Classic and is a former WWE NXT Women\’s Champion. Despite these accolades, Sane is yet to hold singles gold on WWE\’s main roster, a fact she plans on changing soon.

With WWE introducing women\’s mid-card titles over the past 12 months, Sane has a greater chance than ever to achieve her goal. It remains to be seen if Kairi returns to Japan as a champion, but those currently holding gold should beware the Pirate Princess.

  • Mercedes Moné Wins 12th Title, Extends Historic Record

Mercedes Moné is showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon after capturing her 12th championship title. On October 19, Moné captured the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women\’s Championship, defeating TNA Wrestling\’s Jody Threat.

This win came merely one day after AEW WrestleDream, where Moné captured the Interim ROH Women\’s World Television Championship. That victory gave the CEO her eleventh simultaneous title reign, breaking the record for the most reigns of any one wrestler.

    Mone\’s collection of titles includes:

    • AEW TBS Championship
    • CMLL World Women’s Championship
    • EWA Women’s Championship
    • Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Winner
    • RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship (consisting of the Rev Pro Women’s Championship and the Queen of Southside Championship)
    • Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship
    • BestYa Wrestling Women’s Championship
    • Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship
    • BODYSLAM Women\’s Championship
    • Interim ROH Women\’s World Television Championship
    • Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women\’s Championship

Moné is far from finished collecting gold. After WrestleDream, she made clear she wants the AEW Women\’s World Championship, currently held by Kris Statlander. The AEW Women\’s World Champion has also teased facing Moné, saying she wants to be the first woman to hold the Women\’s Title and TBS Title at the same time.

With Moné recently breaking the record for the longest AEW TBS Title reign, the CEO continues to carve her name in the history books. Stay tuned to SEScoops for Mercedes Moné as she continues to make history in pro wrestling.

  • Bobby Fish Shares Hamstring Injury, Says Life\’s Been Rough

Former WWE and AEW wrestler Bobby Fish has opened up about a hamstring injury, which he added has come during a rough period in his life. Taking to Instagram, Fish shared news about his injury and admitted that he doesn\’t have health insurance.

\”Not gonna sugarcoat it — life’s been rough lately. Got injured at a show, pulled hamstring, no health insurance, going through some personal stuff.\”

Fish isn\’t \”here looking for a handout,\” and pivoted to share that he is starting a YouTube channel. For Fish, the channel will give him the opportunity to inform and entertain fans in a brand-new way.

\”I still love this business, and I want to keep giving you something real. Stories, training, laughs, whatever I can bring.\”

Fish was part of WWE from 2017 to 2021, where he held the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships twice as part of the Undisputed Era. After his release on August 6, Fish joined AEW in October of that year. He would remain with the company for less than a year before his contract expired and was not renewed in August 2022.

Fish returned to MLW in 2024 but is clearly dealing with struggles both in and out of the ring. Nevertheless, he remains determined to thrive with his YouTube channel and continue to entertain his fans.

  • Past & Present AEW Staff Clash Over Violent WrestleDream Content

Former AEW coach Sarah Stock recently took aim at AEW WrestleDream and a brutal spot during the show\’s I-Quit main event. After seeing Jon Moxley attempt to drown Darby Allin with a fish bowl, Stock warned parents not to let their kids watch AEW.

Stock\’s comments received several responses, some in favor of her sentiment and some against it. Amanda Huber, who works in AEW and is the wife of the late Brodie Lee, argued that Stock was being hypocritical, citing that Stock \”choked another woman out with a belt\” during her wrestling career. Stock fired back, claiming Huber was exposing her \’ignorance,\’ which earned another response.

Stock then fired back with a series of bold claims against Huber. Stock claimed that when she first met Huber, she was \”tearing down Sting\’s daughter and TK [Tony Khan] for allowing her to \”take your spot\” in AEW Outreach.\” Huber fired back, accusing Stock of lying to get money.

Huber serves as part of AEW\’s Community Outreach Team, while her son Brodie Lee Jr. appears on-screen as the leader of the Dark Order. Stock was an agent/coach for AEW but the two sides parted ways earlier this year. She has previously worked for WWE.

The tension between these two demonstrates a growing conversation about pro wrestling and responsibilities to protect younger fans. While AEW has always set itself apart as more violent than its WWE counterpart, there remains a debate as to whether spots like the attempted drowning or the attempted suffocation of Bryan Danielson shouldn\’t make it to TV.

  • Grayson Waller Debuts New Finisher In Native Australia

WWE Superstar Graysn Waller has debuted a brand-new finisher which he hopes will lead him to glory, and introduced the move in his home country of Australia. The latest taping of WWE Main Event took place in Perth and saw the \’Aussie Icon\’ battle Rey Fenix.

Waller got the win with a middle-rope move that appeared to be a combination of a blockbuster and a cutter. On social media, Waller confirmed that this is a brand-new finisher in his arsenal.

Waller has been part of WWE programming for four years now, and is a former WWE Tag Team Champion (alongside Austin Theory). More recently, Waller has aligned himself with The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) after his association with Theory came to an end.

Waller\’s victory unsurprisingly got a big reaction from fans in his home country. It remains to be seen if his new finisher will lead the Aussie Icon to more championship gold in the months and years to come.

  • Update On WWE Using AI For Its Programming, Human Writers

More has come to light about WWE\’s reported plans to use AI to craft storylines, as the company isn\’t letting the machines take over just yet. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp cleared up the confusion during a Q&A, sharing that the use of AI is far more limited than what fans had anticipated.

Rather than crafting storylines, WWE\’s current use of AI is more akin to fact-checking. For example, WWE may ask the AI for the last time two wrestlers had a match, and Sapp said the program is more like a digital writer\’s assistant than the creative lead.

The report added that the concerns from fans about Artificial Intelligence has been an \”overreaction.\” WWE creative had had AI software for years, but Sapp shared that the service is barely used.

\”It’s supposed to be used more on the production end to organize things, and do things like eliminate background noise from certain shots.\”

One top talent also spoke to Fightful about plans for AI. They shared that “Michael Hayes, Ed Koskey and Paul Heyman are not AI,\” making clear that this trio continues to be the driving force creatively behind the scenes.

The use of AI has been a source of controversy among fans. When El Grande Americano debuted earlier this year, fans slammed WWE for using AI-generated images in a video vignette. While fans have been concerned over AI being used for storylines, it appears that the software usage is far more limited at this time.

  • Tiffany Stratton Reveals Illness That Kept Her From The Gym For Weeks

WWE Women\’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is back in the gym after an illness kept her from working out for weeks. On her Instagram Stories, Stratton shared some workout selfies and revealed that she has been dealing with an illness.

\”Haven\’t been able to workout in 2 weeks bc (because) I\’ve been ill, but we back with a nasty leg day.\”

    \"Tiffany

While Stratton\’s illness has kept her from the gym, she\’s been working through sickness on WWE TV. During this two-week illness period, Stratton was part of the October 10, SmackDown as well as WWE Crown Jewel: Perth. Stratton competed at both shows.

With Stratton back in the gym, the WWE Women\’s Champion is ready to tone her skills and find her next challengers. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the \’Buff Barbie.\’

  • CM Punk, Rhea Ripley & Raquel Rodriguez End Japan Tour With Matching Tattoos

WWE\’s recent tour of Japan will be an experience CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, and Raquel Rodriguez will never forget as the trio ended the tour with matching ink. On Instagram, Ripley shared some photos of the tour and revealed that the three got matching tattoos featuring a Sumo wrestler. The text underneath the ink reads \’October 18,\’ marking the final night of the tour.

The tour saw all three Superstars compete on both nights. On Night One, Rodriguez challenged Stephanie Vaquer while Ripley and IYO SKY faced the Kabuki Warriors. The show\’s main event saw Punk earn a disqualification win over Dominik Mysterio. The second night saw Ripley and Rodriguez (alongside SKY) challenge Vaquer, while Punk teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura against Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker.

Rhea Ripley left Japan with more than new ink, as she suffered a broken nose during the second night of the tour. On social media, Ripley has shared photos of her bruised and bloodied face, though this clearly did little to dampen her experience in Japan.

Japn is a country rich in wrestling history, and fans in the country were treated to some of WWE\’s top Superstars. For Punk, Ripley, and Rodriguez, their time in Asia will follow them for the rest of their days.

  • Shinsuke Nakamura Says Retirement Might Not Be Far Off

The end of the in-ring career of Shinsuke Nakamura may be closer than fans think, the former WWE NXT Champion has revealed. On X, Nakamura shared a statement, first reflecting on AJ Styles recently competing in Japan for the final time.

\”What a special place Japan is. Especially for those of us who wrestle. As AJ said, it’s a place worthy of giving everything you’ve got. Of course, that’s true anywhere in the world… but there’s something sacred here. I don’t know if it’s because I’m Japanese, but I believe the wrestlers and fans who shared this space all felt the same. Maybe.\”

AJ Styles will end his career in 2026, marking the end of one of pro-wrestling\’s most celebrated careers. John Cena is mere months away from the end of his wrestling career, and for Shinsuke Nakamura, he feels that his time is also coming to an end.

\”John Cena, AJ — they’ve all chosen to step away from the ring. It reminds me that my own time might not be far off. But I still have things I must do. I’m still struggling, still fighting, not knowing what tomorrow will bring. All I can do is live this day with everything I have.\”

Nakamura ended his message with a thank you, but added that he may wrestle in Japan \”only one more time.\”

Shinsuke Nakamura made his wrestling debut in 2002 and has held gold in various promotions around the world. Whether his retirement comes next year or later remains to be seen, but the King of Strong Style knows that the majority of his wrestling career is in the rear-view mirror.

  • WWE-Backed AI Platform Pitches Bobby Lashley Return With Japan Obsession

Bobby Lashley could return to WWE with an obsession with Japanese culture and history, at least according to a WWE-backed AI program. In September 2025, WWE hired Cyrus Kowsari as the new Senior Director of Creative Strategy, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports. Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque introduced Kowsari to staff, sharing that he will lead WWE’s transition to AI-based storytelling and integrate AI into creative services.

WWE currently has a contract with Writer AI, a platform trained on WWE content to generate storyline ideas. One such AI-generated pitch suggested a new gimmick for Lashley centered around his fascination with Japan — a clear misfire, given that Lashley left WWE in 2024 and is now part of AEW, where he is a former World Tag Team Champion.

The use of AI has been a source of controversy among fans. When El Grande Americano debuted earlier this year, fans slammed WWE for using AI-generated images in a video vignette. More recently, Zoey Stark debunked an AI-generated video claiming she has retired. Stark is currently out of action due to an injury suffered in May.

The cover illustrator WWE 2K24 rejected claims they used AI for the game\’s cover, showing how the issue with AI isn\’t just confined to live action. Nevertheless, WWE remains focused on bringing in AI-generated storylines, even with this unfortunate idea for Bobby Lashley.
