  • Sami Zayn Says WWE U.S. Title Reign Was One of His Favorites

Sami Zayn\’s time as WWE United States Champion has come to an end, but the Canadian is grateful for his time with the gold. On X, Zayn shared that his reign was great and memorable thanks to the quality of the matches he had.

\”Been reflecting on my run as US Champion. One of my favorite things I’ve done in WWE. 8 weeks, 8 very different opponents, 8 bangers in a row. It’s hard to do something great. In the age of content, it’s even harder to do something memorable. It felt like this was both. Grateful.\”

Zayn won the gold from Solo Sikoa during the August 29, episode of SmackDown, which took place in Lyon, France. The following week, Sami would reintroduce the U.S. Title open challenge, though his first title defense against John Cena ended in a no contest thanks to Brock Lesnar. Sami\’s other title matches saw him face Rey Fenix, Carmelo Hayes, Je\’Von Evans, Aleister Black, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Zayn\’s reign was ended by Ilja Dragunov during the October 17, edition of SmackDown. While Zayn\’s reign was relatively brief, it did put Sami one step closer to WWE\’s Grand Slam. Now, all Zayn needs is a WWE World Championship reign to enter the Grand Slam.

Sami Zayn\’s time as U.S. Champion will always be special to the Canadian and he believes what he did during his reign will be remembered by fans. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Sami Zayn.

  • Drew McIntyre Smashes Out His Anger Before WWE Title Match

Drew McIntyre is channeling his anger ahead of Saturday Night\’s Main Event, where he hopes to capture his fourth WWE World Championship. Mere days before the November 1 show, McIntyre took to Instagram to share footage of himself and his wife in a \’rage room\’ where they could smash things to their heart\’s content.

McIntyre made reference to his upcoming title match, which will see him once again face off against Cody Rhodes. Drew acknowledged his past shortcomings, but is ready to give his fans the win they\’re eager to see.

\”Apparently, I could just break as much as I want, get all my rage out of. Sometimes my problem. A Scottish anger gets in the way. I can get it out before Saturday This is what it feels like to be a Drew McIntyre fan in a WWE title match. Let’s fix that. The Saturday night’s main event.”

McIntyre last held championship gold at WrestleMania 40, where his reign was ended in mere minutes by Damian Priest cashing in Money in the Bank. Since then, McIntyre has competed for a WWE World Championship five times, all to no avail. His most recent match saw him battle Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Wrestlepalooza in September 2025.

Whether McIntyre can turn his fortunes around and leave Saturday Night\’s Main Event as the Undisputed WWE Champion, time will tell. For McIntyre, a sixth loss in a row in the title picture could prove just as damaging to him as to what he inflicted in the rage room.

  • Tyrus: Donald Trump Will Attend John Cena\’s Final WWE Match

Wrestling fans and political pundits alike can expect President Donald Trump at John Cena\’s final match, according to ex-WWE star Tyrus. Speaking to TMZ Sports\’ Inside the Ropes, Tyrus was confident that Trump will attend.

\”1000%. If he says he’s going, he’s going…That’s not by no mistake. He might even be in the finish. I definitely think if the president says he’s going to be there, he’s going to be there. He’s a fan, he loves it.”

While President Trump himself hasn\’t commented, there has been growing speculation about him appearing at Saturday Night\’s Main event in December. In October 2025, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE expects leading political figures to be invited and attend the show.

Trump\’s connections to WWE run deep and include hosting two WrestleManias and appearing several times on WWE TV. In 2013, Trump was inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame and recently earned Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque. The Game\’s mother-in-law Linda McMahon also serves in Trump\’s cabinet.

John Cena\’s final match will be a monumental event for wrestling fans, and WWE would certainly make a bold move by featuring the President. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on John Cena\’s impending final match.

  • WWE Alum Zach Gowen Shares Being Mistaken For Joe Hendry

Zach Gowen made an immediate impact in WWE when he debuted in 2003, as the one-legged wrestler worked with some of the top stars of the time. Today, Gowen is still being met by wrestling fans, even if some are mistaking him for a certain Scottish star.

On Facebook, Gowen shared that he was recently spotted by a wrestling fan, though they mistook him for Joe Hendry. When Gowen shared that he wasn\’t Hendry, but was indeed a former WWE Superstar, this claim was met with a sarcastic \”yeah, right.\” Gowen asked his fans if he was \’cooked\’ after both being mistaken and having his history as a WWE Superstar dismissed.

After briefly competing in TNA Wrestling in early 2003, Gowen signed with WWE that year and debuted as a planted fan of Mr. America (a masked Hulk Hogan). Gowen\’s support for America/Hogan would put him at odds with Mr. McMahon. Gowen\’s time with WWE would also see him share the screen with John Cena, The Big Show, and Brock Lesnar before his release from the company in February 2004.

Gowen appeared on AEW TV in May of this year and shared a spot with Ricochet, proving that fans still recognize the one-legged wrestler. But with his blond hair and positive attitude, this case of mistaken identity proved funny for the ex-Superstar.

  • Absolute Batman Hits One Winged Angel, Kenny Omega Reacts

DC Comics\’ resident caped crusader Batman demonstrated his pro wrestling skills by hitting a One Winged Angel. In Absolute Batman Annual #1, the Dark Knight takes down a member of the Gotham City Police Department with the wrestling move. On X, Kenny Omega, the user of the One Winged Angel, was pleased to see his finisher make it to the page.

Absolute Batman, like all titles in the Absolute Universe, gives an alternate take to Batman. In this universe, Bruce Wayne is a blue-collar civil engineer, not the billionaire playboy seen in the mainstream continuity. Bruce\’s mother is still alive in the \’AU\’ and rather than being his trusted butler, Alfred Pennyworth is an MI6 operative sent to Gotham to track Batman.

This moment is just the latest example of the worlds of AEW and DC Comics colliding. In October 2025, it was shared that a two-issue series will see AEW wrestlers team with the Justice League in 2026. The two sides will unite to recover a \”Big Galactic Belt\” and prevent a cosmic catastrophe.

In 2024, several issues of DC Comics featured short stories giving the background behind some of the All-Elite roster. These stories were later re-released as a collected ‘AEW Origins’ book.

The ties between AEW and DC Comics remain stronger than ever, as DC will serve as the sponsor of AEW Full Gear 2025 on November 22. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from these two entertainment powerhouses.

Fans can expect the biggest ever match at the Hardy Compound at some point in 2026, according to Matt Hardy himself. Hardy made the bold claim during a special Hardy Halloween episode, which is currently available to subscribers of TNA+.

  • Sting Shares Remaining Dates Of \’Now or Never\’ Facepaint Tour

Sting will don his iconic face paint for the last time in 2025, and time is running out for fans wanting to meet him in the black and white. On Instagram, Sting shared an updated list of dates for his remaining appearances in the paint that run until the end of 2025.

After years as \’Surfer Sting\’, the WWE Hall of Fame adopted his iconic black and white look during the mid-late 1990s. The on-screen change was explained as being the result of WCW\’s roster not trusting Sting during the company\’s war with the New World Order. The design is heavily influenced by the comic book character The Crow.

Sting recently resurfaced on AEW programming in his iconic facepaint. During AEW WrestleDream, Sting aided Darby Allin in his violent I-Quit match with Jon Moxley. The match, which included a controversial spot involving an attempted drowning, saw Allin get the win after Sting ran off the Death Riders.

Sting\’s Now or Never tour marks the end of one of pro wrestling\’s most iconic looks, proving that nothing lasts forever. For fans of The Icon, the clock is ticking to get their photos with the popular wrestler in the black and white.

  • Ric Flair’s Legendary Party Lifestyle Revisited By WWE Legend

Ric Flair’s reputation as a “party animal” during his heyday is well-earned, according to fellow former wrestler Barry Darsow. Speaking on The A2theK Wrestling Show, Darsow—known to fans as Demolition Smash and Repo Man—recalled what a typical night out with The Nature Boy was like.

\”Oh my gosh! It\’s not an easy night, let\’s put it that way. When you go into a bar, you better be ready to drink some beer. And it didn\’t matter how many people were in there, Ric was the party.\”

Flair was never one to hold back when it came to spending money to make the night unforgettable. While many wrestlers on the road tried to save their earnings, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer was known to spend freely—often on complete strangers.

  • Chris Bey\’s Girlfriend Calls Neck Injury The Worst Day Of Her Life

October 27, 2024, will be a day Chris Bey will never forget, albeit for all the wrong reasons. During a taping for TNA Wrestling, Bey suffered fractured C1 and C6 vertebrae during a tag-team match that pitted himself and Ace Austin against Matt and Jeff Hardy.

This setback wasn\’t just difficult for Chris, but also for his girlfriend, Brittnie Brooks. After Bey took to social media to reflect on the past year, Brooks shared a lengthy statement on her X page, calling the accident \”the worst day of my life.\”

\”One year ago today, our lives changed forever when @DashingChrisBey suffered a severe spinal cord injury and broken neck during a match.

\”By far the worst day of my life hearing the news and being so unsure about what was going on.

\”Thanks to TNA, and their quick reaction time, i was able to make it to the hospital in Detroit literally about 12 hrs after the injury happened, despite living across the country in Arizona at the time. being by chris\’s side and making sure he knew he wasn\’t alone was the most important thing to me.

\”Between getting the news that he probably will never walk again, and trying my best to be strong for him, the following two months of traveling back and forth to visit him in the hospital and also still tend to my knee (which i was rehabbing from my ACL tear) was very difficult.

\”Everyday them coming in and telling him to move his toes ano just not being able to was so hard to see. when you love someone, it\’s so heartbreaking to see them in so much pain and uncertainty. but still, he persisted and defied every single thing they told him he wouldn\’t be able to do.

\”By time he was discharged in december, he was able to move his legs, by our 2nd week of being home in vegas he was out the wheelchair, able to walk with a walker, and 2 weeks later he was on crutches, and 2 weeks after, walking with no assistance.

\”Chris is one of the strongest-willed and physically strongest person i\’ve ever met. To add onto that, when you go thru a spinal cord injury it\’s so much more than not being able to walk. his first week in the hospital he couldn\’t move his arms, couldn\’t hold his phone, couldn\’t feed himself, let alone internally digest the food. so many of his body systems were and still are changed forever.

\”I will never understand the pain he went thru, (and continues to go thru daily) but his drive and dedication inspires me daily to constantly be better.

\”I\’M so honored to be by his side and be able to call him mine. i love you so much @DashingChrisBey and proud is an understatement.

\”This is the greatest story ever told, and i\’m so happy to be apart of every chapter.\”

Bey has been able to make literal strides in his recovery, including standing tall in April 2025 at the fittingly-named TNA Unbreakable. The show was Bey\’s first appearance at a TNA event since the injury and was able to appreciate the moment with his ABC ally Ace Austin by his side.

Chris Bey won\’t count out a return to the ring, a testament to his ongoing determination. Whether that happens remains to be seen, but Bey continues to prove he is a fighter in and out of the ring.

Fans can expect a packed week of WWE action when the promotion hosts its Elimination Chamber PLE in February 2026. According to PWInsider, WWE is preparing to stack the 2026 week with multiple events. In addition to Elimination Champion, plan includes hosting SmackDown the night before from the Windy City.

After coming up short against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY during the first night, Asuka and Sane rallied and beat Bayley and Lyra Valkyria during the second night.

In the latest video from Asuka\’s KanaChanTV YouTube channel, she and Sane discussed the tour. While both agreed that the tour was very busy, Sane was grateful for all who showed their support for the Kabuki Warriors.

\”The Japan tour was after such a long time… a long-awaited triumphant return. So many fans were cheering \’Kairi! Asuka!\’ Their support really helped us. I love everyone so much!\”

Asuka feigned being outraged by Sane \’sucking up\’ to the fans, playing on the controlling character fans have been seeing on TV. After this brief moment, the Empress shared her genuine thoughts on the Japan tour.

\”Everyone, we truly exist because of all of you. Thank you so much… Thanks to all of you, we can keep fighting. Thank you so much.\”

The Japan tour was a monumental and emotional event, which saw AJ Styles receive a fitting send-off for his final time competing in the country. For Asuka and Kairi Sane, the support of their countrymen and women means everything to the Kabuki Warriors.

  • Alberto El Patron Responds to Fan Support After AAA Banishment

Alberto El Patron was officially banished from AAA in July 2025 following his defeat to El Mesías. While the former AAA Mega Champion has not appeared for the promotion since his exit, he continues to have strong support among fans.

During a recent AAA event, El Hijo del Vikingo responded to chants for El Patron by mocking his supporters, saying, “Get over it, haha!” On X, El Patron reacted to the fan chants with gratitude, expressing appreciation for the continued support from his home country.

\”Thank you, my beloved Mexico, for not forgetting your patrón.\”

When WWE announced its acquisition of AAA, Alberto\’s role in the company greatly diminished. Despite being one of AAA\’s top stars, Alberto was not part of the announcement in April, and WWE avoided making reference to him. After his exit from AAA, it was reported that WWE had deliberately distanced itself from El Patron, despite the backlash in Mexico, where he is popular.

El Patron was fired from WWE in 2014 after a backstage altercation, and after being rehired the next year, was cut in 2016.  An incident with a fan at an AAA event in May 2025 would result in Alberto being suspended from competition in Tijuana in another scandal for the former World Champion.

Despite this, Alberto does have some WWE support, with Rey Mysterio claiming he will try and bring El Patron back, though it\’s unclear if he meant to WWE or AAA. It has been claimed that some of WWE\’s top stars, including Roman Reigns, want Alberto back in WWE, though the OTC has not publicly commented.

For now, Alberto El Patron remains absent from both WWE and AAA, but as the reaction from fans shows, there’s still no shortage of support for him in Mexico.

In a statement, it was announced that the 1971 Valdosta team and the 1976 Warner Robins Demons team, the latter of which Simmons played for, will soon be inducted.

\”Linebacker Ron Simmons was a force on defense, accumulating 130 tackles that season.\”

Simmons\’ career in Football would see him be drafted to the Cleveland Browns in 1981 during the sixth round, though he would be cut that same year. Moving to the Candian Football League, Simmons joined the Ottawa Rough Riders and played six games. A move to the USFL\’s Tampa Bay Bandits would last from 1983-1985, and would see Simmons team with fellow future pro wrestler Lex Luger.

In pro-wrestling, Simmons was the first African-American WCW World Champion, winning the gold in 1992. For this and other efforts in the ring, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 by friend and ally John \’Bradshaw\’ Layfield.

This upcoming induction is the latest accolade for Simmons who proved to be a force both in and out of the ring. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Ron Simmons.
