In October 2024, Chris Bey suffered a paralyzing neck injury when competing in a tag-team match at a taping of TNA iMPACT. Since then, Chris has worked hard to regain mobility in a testament to his never-give-up attitude.

On Sunday, March 23, a \’Beynefit\’ was held for Chris featuring talent from WWE, AEW, TNA Wrestling and beyond. In the main event, WWE\’s Karrion Kross, accompanied by his wife Scarlett, defeated one of the biggest free agents around, Hammerstone. After the match, the man of the house, Chris Bey made an appearance and was able to walk to the ring.

In his first appearance in a wrestling ring since the accident, Bey expressed his gratitude for everyone who has supported him. Bey explained that, before meeting his partner Brittnie Brooks, wrestling was the only think that he ever truly loved.

\”Thank you to all of you for creating this special night where people from everywhere around the world, all companies, all of you can create something so special that’s gonna live in history forever and live in my heart forever.\”

Bey didn\’t address his future in wrestling, but ended by expressing his love to all in attendance, \”even AJ Francis.\” Bey singed off by declaring that \”I am nothing\” without all the wrestlers and fans who continue to support him.

We here at SEScoops would like to continue to wish Chris Bey all the best at this time as well as a full recovery.

  • La Parka 3 – Iconic Character Resurrected In Lucha Libre AAA

La Parka, a character synonymous with AAA Lucha Libre, is back for a new generation of professional wrestling fans. At the Rey de Reyes event, La Parka 3, the third iteration of the character, was introduced to fans. The character was resurrected in a literal sense as it was emerged from a coffin and given the seal of approval from Vampiro.

La Parka 3 strutted his way to the ring for his debut match that went in and out of the ring. In one of the most impressive moments of the night, La Parka hit a dive from the stands onto his opponents.

The La Parka name was first used by Adolfo Tapia who made the character a name in AAA, ECW, WCW, CMLL and beyond. In 2003, Jesús Alfonso Huerta Escoboza was introduced as La Parka Jr. before becoming the official La Parka years later. Escoboza died in 2020 from complications arising from injuries that he sustained from a botched move during an October 2019 match. He was posthumously inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame.

Now, a new La Parka is on the scene and has already been impressing. With his skills, personality, and nod to wrestling history, La Parka 3 is bound to be a success in the world of Lucha Libre AAA just like his predecessors.

  • Giulia Returns At WWE NXT Live Event, Attacks Former Champion

At WWE NXT Roadblock, Giulia lost the WWE NXT Women\’s Championship to North American Women\’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Now, the Beautiful Madness has returned to WWE NXT and is already getting violent with the Superstars of the women\’s division.

At a WWE NXT live event in Bartow, Florida, Giulia made her first appearance for the silver brand since her title loss. Not only did Giulia return but she sent a painful message to Cora Jade. Giulia also gestured that she\’s ready to re-enter the NXT Women\’s Championship picture.

Giulia\’s return to NXT comes at an interesting time in the career of the Japanese Superstar. Shortly before her title loss, reports came out stating that Giulia was dealing with injuries. The fact that WWE rushed into a title-for-title match with Vaquer, as well as Vaquer\’s victory, led many to believe that booking had been changed to give Giulia time off to recover.

With Giulia\’s appearance in Bartow, it remains to be seen when she\’ll be back on WWE NXT programming. With Vaquer set for two title defenses on the upcoming March 25, episode, the show will be one Giulia will be watching closely, if she isn\’t set to be a part of it.

  • WWE Alum Gable Steveson Loses \’Biggest Upset In History\’ In NCAA Title Clash

Amateur wrestling fans were shocked to see Gable Steveson lose in the NCAA National Championship finals, a loss many are calling the biggest upset of all time. In the 285 NCAA finalm Wyatt Hendrickson got the win over Steveson, a former Olympic Gold Medalist. Hendrickson scored the takedown in the third round to pull off the victory.

Given his established success on the mat, Steveson\’s defeat is being heralded as a massive upset. FloWrestling described the result as \”unthinkable\” and questioned if this was \”the biggest upset in college wrestling history.\” DraftKings acknowledged Steveson\’s track record and said that Hendrickson\’s win \”might be considered the largest upset in NCAA history.\” GopherHole added that Hendrickson\’s victory was shocking and that fans had \”witnessed the biggest upset in the history of collegiate sports.\” Steveson hadn\’t lost an NCAA match since 2019, only adding to the shocking nature of his defeat.

After capturing gold in the 2021 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, Steveson signed with WWE shortly after to much buzz. That same year, he was drafted to Monday Night Raw, the first-ever draftee to be selected without a match to his name. Ultimately, Steveson\’s career in pro wrestling would not live up to the expectations of fans and he was quietly released from the promotion in 2024.

After his time with WWE, Gable Steveson joined the Buffalo Bills but was cut before playing in the league. With this setback on the mat, it remains to be seen what\’s next for the Olympic Gold Medalist.

Graham was one of the rising prospects in XVW and had held the promotion\’s Next-Gen Championship. He had been nurtured by established names in the wrestling industry including Ace Austin, Sami Callihan, and Jake Crist.

Graham\’s passing comes mere days after Vince Steele died at the age of 39 following a medical emergency at an event. Steele had experienced his medical emergency during a match for BriiCombination Wrestling in New Jersey. Reports stated that it took 45 minutes for an ambulance to arrive, raising concerns about the response time and what could\’ve been done had an ambulance been on-site for the show or at least closer to the venue.

Our condolences go out to the families, friends, and loved ones of both Graham Michael and Vince Steele at this difficult time.

  • Pete Dunne Returns to OTT Wrestling After 5 Years Away

Pete Dunne made a surprise return to the Irish indie scene on March 22 as part of OTT Wrestling\’s latest event in Ireland. Not only did Dunne shock fans with his arrival, but he, Trent Seven, and Sammy D made their entrance with a nod to WWE\’s very own King of Kings, Triple H.

This match marked Dunne\’s first time competing for the Irish promotion since 2019 but his return wasn\’t all fun and games. After the match, he took a moment to honor two late figures from the wrestling community—Ryan Smile and Niamh Dunphy. Dunne\’s return demonstrated that for all his success in WWE, both in NXT and the main roster, he remains deeply connected to the roots that shaped his career.

When not appearing for OTT Wrestling, Dunne can be found on Monday Night Raw where he has been feuding with Penta. Despite the best efforts of the former NXT UK Champion though, he has yet to get a victory over the masked Superstar. Dunne\’s most recent match for WWE came at the March 3, WWE Main Event taping, where he defeated the LWO\’s own Cruz Del Toro.

  • Charlotte Flair Competes At First WWE Live Event Since December 2023

Charlotte Flair is back doing what she does best, performing in front of a WWE live crowd. Flair returned to in-ring action at WWE’s Road to WrestleMania live event in Belfast, Northern Ireland on March 22. Flair\’s victory over Piper Niven inside the SSE Arena marked her first time competing at a live event since December 2023. On X, fka Twitter, Flair reacted to her live-event return.

Though Flair has competed on televised WWE programming this year, including her historic Royal Rumble match victory, this was her first live event win since returning from her injury. Prior to this week, Flair\’s previous live event match had come on December 3, 2023, where she lost to then-Women\’s Champion IYO SKY in Newark, Delaware.

With WrestleMania 41 fast approaching, this return to the house show grind comes at the perfect time as she prepares to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship. Whether it\’s Flair or Stratton who stand tall in Las Vegas\’ Allegiant Stadium in April 2025, fans can expect a war between two of the very best women in WWE today.

  • Jade Cargill Reacts After Suffering First WWE Pinfall Loss

During the March 21, edition of WWE SmackDown, Jade Cargill lost to WWE Women\’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan. This win war far from clean for Morgan though, as interference from Naomi would prove crucial in costing Jade the match.

This wasn\’t just a loss for Jade Cargill but was her first singles pinfall defeat since joining WWE in September 2023. Taking to X, Cargill refused to let the loss keep her down. The former Women\’s Tag Team Champion also promised that Naomi will get what\’s coming to her in the end.

Looking up at the lights is a rare thing for Cargill throughout her wrestling career. The pinfall loss is Jade\’s third time throughout her entire career being pinned. Her first pinfall loss came at AEW Double or Nothing 2023, when she lost the TBS Title to Kris Statlander. Cargill would lose their subsequent rematch, her final match as part of the AEW roster.

Cargill returned to programming at WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto, where she attacked Naomi. The Glow later confirmed that she was the one to attack Cargill in November 2024. While Naomi claimed she did it for herself and for Bianca Belair, the EST wants no part of her former friend/tag-team partner.

While losing is never the intended outcome, Jade Cargill is ready to get back on the proverbial horse and back to her winning ways. While a showdown at WrestleMania 41 is yet to be confirmed, fans can expect to see Cargill and Naomi in the ring as adversaries soon enough.

  • Rob Van Dam Interested In Managing WWE NXT Superstar

Rob Van Dam is a true legend in the ring but now the WWE Hall of Famer is open to serving a role outside the squared circle. Speaking to B4 The Bell, Rob Van Dam recalled sharing the screen with NXT\’s Kelani Jordan during the NXT show at the ECW Arena.

\”Kelani Jordan. I’m on board. We did a really cool little backstage vignette in November or December when I was at NXT for a second.\”

Van Dam wasn\’t just impressed by Jordan but is open to serving as her manager on WWE TV should the opportunity arise.

\”We both did the splits across the chairs, facing each other. So that’s my answer—I’ll be her manager.\”

Having the endorsement of Rob Van Dam is another feather in the cap of Kelani Jordan. Last year, Jordan became the first-ever WWE NXT Women\’s North American Champion, winning the gold in a six-woman ladder match. Jordan\’s 140-day reign saw her retain against Michin, Izzi Dame, Sol Ruca, Wendy Choo and others before losing the gold to Fallon Henley.

Even after losing the gold, Kelani Jordan continues to impress in WWE NXT. Whether RVD manages her or not remains to be seen, but this endorsement is certainly big for the young NXT Superstar.

  • Braun Strowman Eyes WWE Grand Slam After SmackDown Win

On the March 21, edition of WWE SmackDown, Braun Strowman defeated Jacob Fatu to become the number one contender for the WWE United States Championship. In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Strowman was pleased about the win which came via disqualification after Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga attacked him.

\”When you\’re fighting three guys every week you take a win however you can get it. Disqualification, so be it. Whatever.\”

Looking to the future, Strowman was adamant that he will be the next United States Championship, a win that\’d also earn Braun the Grand Slam.

\”That [the U.S. Championship] is the one title that has alluded me in my entire WWE career. I win the United States Championship, I\’m a Grand Slam title[holder] and a guaranteed shoo-in at WrestleMania.\”

To become a Grand Slam Champion, a Superstar must win a World Championship, a tag-team title, and both the United States and Intercontinental Championships. Strowman became a Tag Team Champion in 2018 before capturing the Intercontinental Championship the following year. In 2020, Strowman added the WWE Universal Championship to his trophy cabinet, taking another step closer to the Grand Slam.

LA Knight only recently regained the U.S. Title but his reign could come to a swift end at the hands of Braun Strowman. With their title match set for the March 28, edition of WWE SmackDown, fans can expect a hard-hitting war in London\’s O2 Arena with the U.S. Gold on the line.

  • Kevin Owens & Randy Orton Set for War at WrestleMania 41

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton hope to settle the score for good when the pair do battle at WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. During the March 21, edition of WWE SmackDown, Owens asked Orton to team with him this April and pursue the tag-team championships. Instead, Orton vowed to kick Owens\’ head off his shoulders at WrestleMania, teasing a showdown between the pair.

On X, WWE CCO Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque hyped up the match, saying it could only come at WrestleMania.

This will mark the second time Orton and Owens have battled at WWE\’s Showcase of the Immortals. The pair were in a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024 in a match won by then-United States Champion Logan Paul.

Orton and Owens were allies in 2024 but things took a turn once Cody Rhodes agreed to team with Roman Reigns. When Orton refused to call-out Rhodes over what Owens saw as a betrayal, Owens assaulted Orton, severing their friendship, seemingly for good.

Now, the pair will do battle at WrestleMania 41 in one of the show\’s more emotionally-driven matches. It remains to be seen which former World Champion is left standing tall inside Las Vegas\’ Allegiant Stadium.

  • Rollins, Reigns & Punk Set For Triple-Threat Showdown At WrestleMania 41

Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins will do battle at WrestleMania 41, it has been confirmed. After the March 21, edition of WWE SmackDown, WWE CCO Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque confirmed the explosive triple-threat encounter.

Levesque\’s announcement comes after Punk, Rollins, and Reigns were all part of WWE SmackDown in Bologna, Italy. After a war of words, the trio brawled to end the show. Officials rushed to separate the three though that proved to be easier said than done with three former WWE World Champions involved.

WrestleMania 41 will serve as 12th Showcase of the Immortals for Reigns and Rollins, both of whom knows what it means to win big at the event. The show will mark Punk\’s eighth time competing at a WrestleMania and his first in 12 years. An injury forced Punk to miss competing at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024 so this match has been a long-time coming for the Best in the World.

With a trio of former World Champions, this match could be a WrestleMania: Saturday headliner. Punk has yet to headline a WrestleMania, and could be mere weeks away from crossing this goal off his bucket list. Punk has been confirmed for the March 24, Raw in Glasgow, Scotland, where fans can expect him to address this match.

WrestleMania 41 has a huge card and this match is just the latest spectacle conirmed for Las Vegas. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on WrestleMania 41.

  • \’This Is It\’ – John Cena Sr. Says Son Won\’t Break Retirement

Wrestling retirements are often a broken-promise, but that won\’t be the case for John Cena, according to the WWE icon\’s father. Speaking to Undisputed, Cena Sr. was adamant that his son will keep his word.

\”I know my son. If he says this is the end, then this is it. We’re only a few months away from the last time we see John in jorts in a wrestling ring.\”

Cena shared at the Money in the Bank 2024 that his final match would come in 2025. Since then, Cena has turned heel and \’dumped\’ the WWE Universe with a scathing promo during the March 17, WWE Raw.

\”He was direct, he was to the point, and he gave us his reason for his actions. I thought it was extremely well done. I’m still amazed he and WWE kept this all under wraps.\”

The younger Cena will be a part of the March 24, WWE Raw, as will his WrestleMania 41 adversary Cody Rhodes. With the allure of a 17th WWE World Championship being within reach for John Cena, WrestleMania may prove to be his last chance to hit the milestone before his career in the ring comes to a permanent end.

  • Demolition Reflects on WWE Hall of Fame Snub & Fan Support

The WWE Hall of Fame class of 2025 is coming together with Triple H, Michelle McCool, and Lex Luger all confirmed by WWE. It has been reported that the Natural Disasters will also be inducted, but now another legendary tag-team has spoken up.

Despite being legends of the ring, Demolition, the tag team of Ax and Smash, have yet to receive the nod. Speaking to Ten Count Media, Ax, real name Bill Eadle, brought up how fans often question the pair about a Hall of Fame induction.

\”The fans are asking, ‘When are you going to get into the Hall of Fame?’ Who knows? We may never, ever, because there are so many tag teams out there.”

When asked about what it\’d take for the pair to be inducted, Smash, real name Barry Darsow, recalled a conversation from WrestleCon. While the pair believe that inductees are given $5-6,000 for an induction, they joked that their price tag would be considerably higher.

\”I laughed and thought, ‘I think it would take probably $100,000 at least to bring us in for the Hall of Fame.’ And I thought, what a good number.\”

Darsow\’s high price-tag doesn\’t come down to greed as he shared he\’d give much of the money away. Darsow shared that he\’d like to gift $10,000 to the church his mother-in-law operates and another $10,000 to the sherrif\’s department that his son works at.

As for Eadle, he shared that it\’s nice that fans believe an induction is overdue, but they\’re not sweating receiving the honor. For Demolition, the important thing is that their careers impacted so many fans and it is that, not a WWE Hall of Fame spot, that will be their legacy.

\”We have no control over it. If we get in, great. If we don’t get in, we’re not going to lose sleep over it. So, that’s where we stand.\”

The WWE Hall of Fame 2025 ceremony will take place on April 18, at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in its BleauLive Theater. With the ceremony promising an exciting night of nostalgia and memories, stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the WWE Hall of Fame.

  • The Wyatt Sicks Calls For Patience Amid WWE Hiatus With Biblical Post

The Wyatt Sicks have been missing from TV since the December 9, 2024, edition of WWE Raw. Despite a move to SmackDown in the recent \’Transfer Window,\’ the Uncle Howdy led faction has vanished from programming, leaving fans to wonder what\’s next for the group.

On X, fka Twitter, the group shared a cryptic message that began with ecc3:1, a nod to the bble and the book of Ecclesiastes.

\”There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.\”

The post then promises that people will \”stand in awe\” for what is to come in time, before making referenced to the book of Galatians.

\”Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.\”

The Wyatt Sicks ends with reminding fans that \”we see you\” and asking them to remember who they are and what they know.

The Wyatt Sicks\’ use of biblical passages is a call for patience, though many are growing increasingly tired of waiting for the faction to resurface. In the comments, many fans expressed their disatisfaction at the handling of the group and are eagerly awaiting their return. Some also brought up Alexa Bliss, who despite teases of doing something with the faction, has been pulled from WWE plans for the time being. It remains to be seen what becomes of the Wyatt Sicks, but it appears patience is wearing thin for Uncle Howdy and his acolytes.

  • Alberto El Patron Gives His Side Of Suspension, Blames Wrestling Commission

Alberto El Patron has been suspended for six months from competing in Tijuana following an incident with a fan at a AAA event. In a statement to Sportskeeda, El Patron took aim at the Tijuana Wrestling Commission who he argued failed Hijo del Perro Aguayo who died in the ring in the same venue in 2015.

“As it happened when we lose my dear friend Pedro [Hijo del Perro Aguayo], The Tijuana [Wrestling] Commission washed their hands, blaming someone else for what happened to divert the attention. They failed due to not having an ambulance, physician, stretcher, among other things. Today, they do the same thing [blame someone else for their own mistakes], but with me to divert the attention that, a woman and myself ended up physically injured after being attacked by a bunch of misfits [drunk fans].\”

The incident at the AAA event saw a fan, seemingly drunk, throw an ice cube that struck Del Rio in the eye, Sportskeeda reports. While El Patron tried to ignore the matter, the fan later threw coins at the wrestler, one of which hit him directly in the forehead. El Patron then confronted the fan, warning them of a potential arrest. El Patron claims that when security intervened, they let the fan walk away while the wrestler was later suspended.

Despite this suspension, the former WWE World Champion is allowed to work elsewhere in Mexico, giving fans to see him in action. However, this incident is the latest in a string of messy matters that continue to plague the wrestling veteran.

  • Dominik Mysterio\’s Family Heritage Takes A Turn On TNA iMPACT

Dominik Mysterio arrived in WWE in 2005 as part of the Rey Mysterio Vs. Eddie Guerrero feud, in which Guerrero claimed Dominik was his biological son. While it\’s been close to two decades since Rey won custody in a ladder match, Mysterio\’s heritage remains a point of debate in wrestling.

On the March 20, edition of TNA iMPACT, Chavo Guerrero made a surprise appearance, interrupting AJ Francis to the delight of the crowd. Unimpressed by the former ECW World Champion, Francis argued that Chavo wasn\’t even the second best Guerrero (with Eddie coming at #1.)

\”Anyone that wrestled in WCW needs to sit their ass down before they get hurt. If I wanted to have the second-best Guerrero on the First Class Penthouse, I would have called my buddy Dominik.\”

Guerrero responded, acknowledging Dirty Dom\’s complicated family tree. Chavo even suggested that it\’s possible that Dominik may be the son of Rey\’s wife Angie, but not the Hall of Famer.

\”The verdict is still out on Dominik because we aren’t sure he’s a Guerrero yet. We’re waiting to find out. His mom did get around! And Eddie was damn good-looking.\”

This is quite the twist from the canon established in 2005, that Rey and Angie adopted Dominik from Eddie and Vickie Guerrero as the Mysterios were struggling to conceive. Dominik himself has alluded to being Eddie\’s son while referring to the man who raised him as a \’deadbeat dad.\’

It remains to be seen if Dominik appears in TNA as part of the multi-year partnership, but don\’t count out \’Dirty Dom\’ showing up in the iMPACT zone. With this crossover already seeing some big names from both sides cross the line, Dominik Mysterio (or rather, Dominik Guerrero) could certainly find a home in TNA Wrestling.

  • Ex-WWE Star Talks \’Passion\’ After Behind The Scenes Return

Lince Dorado recently sat down with 302Birds to discuss his recent return to WWE. Dorado, once one-third of the Lucha House Party explained that after being cut in late 2021, he is officially back.

\”February is when I started. As both a wrestler and a trainer. They’ve trusted me to train the next superstars of tomorrow at the highest point with WWE.\”

For all his success in the ring, Dorado described coaching and training talent to be his \”calling.\” Dorado explained how he was preparing to be a coach long before he made it to WWE.

\”I used to be a math teacher, so teaching has always been in my blood. Teaching wrestling is something that I love.\”

At 37 years old with 17 years in the business to his name, Dorado knows that his career in the ring can\’t last forever. That is why the masked star is working hard to make himself invaluable in roles outside of the squared circle.

\”I try to better myself and find a skill within wrestling that’s going to keep me in wrestling, whether that’s making gear, making masks, training people, or consulting.\”

Dorado is working hard to train the Superstars of tomorrow but that doesn\’t mean his in-ring career is through just yet. With a pair of appearances for WWE NXT (albeit untelevised) earlier this year, fans can\’t out seeing the wrestling veteran in a WWE ring once again.

  • Homicide Wins Retirement Match, Wrestlers Pay Tribute

As previously reported, Homicide is retiring from in-ring competition after a cyst was found on his brain. Now, the wrestling veteran is officially retired but ended his career with a huge victory. Homicide and Bull James were victorious over Afa Jr. and Mike Santana with Homicide hitting the Ace Crusher on Afa Jr. to get the victory.

Homicide is retiring after decades as part of the wrestling business, where he is known for his work in ROH, TNA, CZW, and elsewhere. On social media, many wrestlers paid tribute to the former Ring of Honor World Champion.

In his statement announching his retirement, Homicide made clear this isn\’t a full goodbye from the wrestling business but instead a \”see you later.\” Though his time in the ring may be over, Homicide intends to remain a part of the business he continues to love after his retirement.

  • Andrew Schulz Wants WWE Justice, Triple H Says Game On

On the March 10, edition of WWE Raw, comedian Andrew Schulz ran into some trouble with Logan Paul until AJ Styles made the save. Speaking on This Past Weekend, Schulz watched a clip from his time at Raw and was grateful for the Phenomenal One.

\”Thank God AJ Styles comes in to save my ass, I\’d be toast [otherwise], in front of my wife.\”

While Schulz was mere seconds away from a suplex, this may not be the last fans see of him in a WWE setting. When asked if part of him wanted to do more, Schulz teased a potential return.

\”I need justice, bro. I need justice. You can\’t come do that s*** to me in Madison Square Garden. My home, talk crazy to me. I need some paper, bro. I need my get-back.\”

Schulz\’s comments haven\’t gone unnoticed. On X, WWE CCO Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque teased having plans for the comedian.

Schulz is yet to have a match for WWE though he\’d hardly be the first celebrity to step foot in the ring as a competitor. With WWE arguably more mainstream than ever before, it remains to be seen if Schulz and others walk in the footsteps of Bad Bunny, Johnny Knoxville, and Paul himself.

  • Goldberg on John Cena’s Heel Turn: ‘I Could Have Done the Same Thing\’

John Cena’s long-awaited heel turn has had fans and wrestling insiders talking as the WWE icon prepares to end his in-ring career this year. Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Goldberg compared Cena’s transformation to Hulk Hogan’s infamous NWO turn in 1996 before sharing his own nixed turn.

\”I think Cena’s turn is most comparable to Hogan turning. I could have done the same thing, but I refused to.\”

Discussing his refused heel turn, Goldberg said it would have done unparalleled business. Explaining why he said no, Goldberg said thatbreaking the hearts of young fans, especially those who were part of the Make-A-Wish program, was not worth it.

While Goldberg refused an initial attempt at turning heel, he later became a villain at the Great American Bash 2000 pay-per-view. The turn was panned at the time as a desparate attempt by WCW to gain attention without a proper explanation or reason for the turn. Just two months later at WCW New Blood Rising, Goldberg turned face again.

John Cena holds the record for the most Make-A-Wish wishes granted, a testament to his never-ending willingness to deliver. Despite his own reservations about turning heel in front of Make-A-Wish kids, Goldberg has been pleased with what he\’s seen from the WWE icon.

\”I think Cena’s turn is freaking fabulous, no question about it.\”

Both Goldberg and Cena will compete for the last time in 2025, making the end of two iconic careers. It remains to be seen if their paths cross ahead of their respective farewells to in-ring competition.

  • Bill Goldberg: \’I’ll Always Be a WCW Guy\’ to WWE

Bill Goldberg may be a WWE Hall of Famer withh several runs with the company to his name, but he is still a WCW guy at heart. Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Goldberg looked back at his role in the Monday Night Wars.

“I’ll always be a WCW guy… Look at how they treated Sting. We were going head-to-head [during the Monday Night Wars]. We were kicking their ass, they were kicking our ass.\”

Goldberg compared the battle which came to an end in March 2001 as akin to \”a big heavyweight fight\” and reiterated that WWE was \”the enemy\” at the time. With WCW well and truly in the past, however, Goldberg is looking to the future and his retirement match that\’ll come in a WWE ring.

“Paul [Triple H] and I spoke, and we came to an agreement that in 2025, I’d have my retirement match. Don’t know when it is, don’t know who it’s against, but it’s happening.\”

Goldberg would make an immediate impression upon his arrival in WCW and would rack up 173 consecutive wins, though this number is disputed by some. Goldberg would also capture the WCW World Heavyweight and United States Championships, becoming the only man to hold both titles simultaneously.

While his career may be coming to an end, Goldberg’s loyalty to WCW remains strong. Even as he prepares to step foot for the last time in the ring of the \’enemy,\’ his legacy will always be tied to the company that made him a star.

  • Chris Bey Grateful To TNA Wrestling & CM Punk On Road to Recovery

On the Insight podcast, TNA\’s Chris Bey opened up on his severe injury and the support he\’s received since October 2024. Bey opened up on speaking with WWE Superstar CM Punk after his surgery as Chris struggled with the slim odds he\’d ever walk again.

\”It was very simple conversation where he said something along the lines of, I think that diagnosis and that percentage applies to humans and you\’re not human.\”

Despite being given a 10-25% chance of walking again, Bey has already beaten those odds with a video of his steps going viral. During Raw\’s debut on Netflix in January 2025, Punk name-dropped Bey and dedicated his performance to the TNA star.

\”I was surprised. I was humbled, grateful. I just can\’t believe that through doing what I wanted to do all my life and actually being able to be successful at it, I\’ve made this much of a mark on people.\”

Punk has kept in contact with Bey as have those with TNA Wrestling. In addition to his tag-team partner Ace Austin, Bey is regularly visited by those from the company.

\”From the roster to the talent, behind the scenes, people who set up the building and management, presidents of the company, people from Anthem, everybody from top to bottom has been so helpful and have checked on me.\”

TNA has also covered all medical expenses for Bey, a huge relief for the former X-Division and World Tag Team Champion. A \’Beynefit\’ is scheduled for this month that will include talent from TNA Wrestling and AEW. WWE is lending Karrion Kross for the event in a special contribution given Bey\’s connection to the former NXT Champion.

\”I saw him online when I first researched the school, and he was their champion… he\’s such an integral part of my career… I wouldn\’t want to have the show without him.\”

The wrestling world has come together to support Chris, proving that tribalism falls away when a talent needs help. We here at SEScoops are continuing to wish Chris Bey the absolute best on his recovery.

  • \’Nothing\’s Impossible\’ – Chris Bey Talks In-Ring Return After Injury

TNA Wrestling\’s Chris Bey suffered a severe injury in October 2024, one that has kept him out of the ring ever since. On the Insight podcast, Bey recalled being shown an x-ray of his neck before the surgery.

\”The conversation was more so about what they thought recovery looked like, what it typically is in this scenario, and what they anticipated would be my result… For me, they were predicting about a 10 to 25% chance of walking again.\”

The day after the surgery, Bey was grateful to be alive and repeatedly told himself that this was \’day one\’ of a long journey. Despite the odds, and a dark 48 hours after the surgery, Bey realized the importance of putting his chances into perspective.

\”I\’ve had a less percent chance of becoming a professional wrestler and landing on TV. I\’ve had a lot less odds with everything that I\’ve done in my life up until this point.\”

Bey has been making slow but steady progress and a recent video shared that he is now able to stand up and take steps. Speaking about the video below. Bey said it took \” a lot of therapy, a lot of mental will, lot of days\” for him to come to this point. When asked about wrestling again, Bey admitted that he was sure his career was over.

\”The day after the surgery, I was very content and understanding that my career was over. I didn\’t see a world where I came back to wrestling.\”

Now though, Bey isn\’t as sure his career is over for good. With the ability to walk once again his and having seen other returns, he knows not to count out an in-ring comeback entirely.

    \”Never say never, right?… It\’s possible. It\’s been done before. Nothing\’s impossible.\”

For the time being, Bey\’s focus remains on his recovery and regaining his fine motor skills. With a wealth of support around him, the former TNA X-Division Champion is ready to do whatever it takes, even if it means it\’s years before he\’s seen in a wrestling ring again.

  • Chris Bey Shares The Exact Moment Of Paralyzing Injury

During an October 2024 taping of TNA iMPACT, Chris Bey suffered a severe injury during a match pitting himself and Ace Austin against Matt & Jeff Hardy. On the Insight podcast, Bey recalled the spot in question and what he experienced in the moment.

\”As soon as it goes wrong, you don\’t notice what\’s wrong, you just know something isn\’t right. I felt a jolt. It was a neck breaker. We missed each other, Matt and I, by an inch.\”

Bey felt \”a little bit of discomfort\” and was checked on by referee Daniel Spencer. Speculating that this was a \’stinger,\’ a minor setback Bey has dealt with before, Bey asked for Spencer to help him get out of the ring before a strange feeling kicked in.

\”I was numb. It was a weird feeling that I can\’t exactly explain, because I\’ve never experienced it before. I just know it was kind of a numb feeling.\”

A self-professed perfectionist, Bey was more concerned about the match, as he was an artist who\’s \”brush made a mark I didn\’t want.\” As the match progressed, Bey realized the seriousness of the injury when his body was failing to react.

\”It\’s my turn to get back up and do my next spot. So mentally, I roll over and grab the ropes and sell around. Physically, I\’m laying there.\”

Realising something was off, the teams rushed a finish which was supposed to see Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb for the win. Though Bey knew how to take the move and was willing his body to brace for an impact, his body once again failed to move. Bey yelled to the ref to tell Jeff not to do the move. Informed, Hardy hit a leg-drop, giving an arch so Bey was safe, to get the win.

Bey was rushed to a nearby hospital as the feeling in his body continued to wane. As he waited in immense pain for a surgeon, Bey knew things were very bad when he saw his gear in the corner.

\”I saw my tights and my knee pads and my boots neatly stacked next to me uncut and I never felt them take any article of clothing off of me.\”

Bey would undergo surgery and has been working on his recovery ever since in a testament to his dedication and the human spirit. As questions remain about his future in wrestling, Bey\’s tale is a grim reminder that even the most common of moves, a neckbreaker, can turn disastrous in the ring.

We here at SEScoops are continuing to wish Chris the absolute best on his recovery.
