  • WWE LFG Runner-Up Shares Why They\’re Happy They Lost

Zena Sterling was the women\’s runner-up on the first edition of WWE LFG, but she she believes not winning may have been the best thing for her. On Busted Open Radio, Sterling was asked whether losing the competition felt like a failure and made clear her answer of \”Absolutely not.\”

\”I’m happy that I didn’t win Season One. I know that sounds so silly, but I feel like in a sense, if I did win, it would have been a little bit too easy, you know, because I feel like now I have that much more of a challenge. And I love struggle.\”

Sterling emphasized her belief that genuine growth comes through adversity, not by winning a reality show formatted show to earn a WWE NXT contract. While some may pleased to be handed opportunities, Sterling shared that if something comes that easy to her, \”then it\’s not worth anything to me.\”

“It took me a lot to get to finals—like a lot to get there—but me not winning it, that just means I can put in that much more. Season Two and, you know, the road ahead to get that contract and get on NXT TV.”

Instead of Sterling, it was Tyra Mae Steele who walked out of Madison Square Garden with the win and the NXT contract and has already appeared on the silver brand. As for Zena Sterling, the loss isn’t a setback—it’s motivation for everything she plans to do next.

  • Samantha Irvin Teams With Stevie Wonder at Raiders Gala

Samantha Irvin parted ways with WWE last year to focus on her non-wrestling plans, most notably, her passion for music. Now, the former ring announcer has shared a milestone in her career: introducing Stevie Wonder at a major event. On Instagram, Irvin shared that she had the honor and privilege to introduce the 25-time Grammy Award winner at the second annual Raiders Silver & Black Gala, held at Allegiant Stadium.

Irvin joked that she\’d \”came out of retirement\” to introduce Wonder, cementing that her ring announcing days are in the past. She expressed gratitude to the Raiders and The Raiders Foundation for the opportunity and for supporting a cause close to her heart—mental health.

Irvin intends to focus on her music career and this connection to one of the industry\’s all-time greats is certainly a feather in her cap. Irvin recently dropped a music video for her track \’Shawty Wanna\’ though has claimed that the video was \’shadowbanned\’ on YouTube.

As for her wrestling future, Ricochet has confirmed that Irvin plans to return to the industry at some point. As for when that\’ll be, that remains to be seen, but in the meantime, Irvin is garnering a lot of attention outside the wrestling business.

  • Backstage Response To Chelsea Green\’s WWE Efforts

Chelsea Green was rehired by WWE in early 2023, and her work ever since hasn\’t gone unnoticed by fans or those backstage. According to PWInsider, Green has received consistent positive feedback behind the scenes over the past few months. Green has been earning a reputation for her professionalism and willingness to take on media responsibilities outside of the ring.

One backstage source likened her to The Miz, citing her commitment and media savvy as being akin to the two-time former WWE Champion. During an Insight appearance in May 2025, Green herself hoped to be compared to WWE\’s veteran \’A-Lister.\’

\”I\’m trying to be the female Miz. He built this amazing life for himself and gets to do all of these appearances and he can lose but people still love him and find him entertaining.\”

Green\’s efforts are certainly paying off as she is a regular on WWE TV and is provided backup by the \’Secret Hervice.\’ In December 2024, Green became the first (and as she\’ll remind you, longest reigning) WWE Women\’s United States Champion, a sign of the company\’s faith in her.

Having recently signed a multi-year deal with WWE, Green is planning for a long, prosperous future in WWE. And with the responses she\’s receiving backstage, it may be a matter of time before more gold is around her waist.

  • Roman Reigns in Talks for Live-Action Street Fighter Film (Report)

Roman Reigns is no stranger to action, and now the OTC could be making a huge leap to the big screen. According to Deadline, Reigns is currently in talks to join the cast of Legendary’s upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie. Though Reigns\’ involvement has yet to be confirmed, he may potentially star alongside Andrew Koji (Bullet Train), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), and Noah Centineo (Warfare) in the movie based on Capcom’s iconic video game franchise.

While details on the plot remain top secret, it has been confirmed that Bad Trip director Kitao Sakurai will helm the project, which is being co-developed with Capcom. The Street Fighter series has seen several film adaptations, both in live action and animation, and was referenced in 2018\’s pop-culture hit Ready Player One.

This wouldn’t mark Reigns’ first foray into Hollywood. The former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion previously appeared in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, portraying Mateo, the brother of Luke Hobbs (Reigns\’ real-life cousin Dwayne Johnson.) He also made a cameo in the Netflix comedy The Wrong Missy, starring David Spade and Lauren Lapkus.

With John Cena, The Rock, and Dave Bautista succeeding in the world of acting, will Roman Reigns be next to join their ranks? Time will tell…

  • Sami Zayn Picks Non-WWE Duo As Wrestling\’s Best Tag Team

Sami Zayn has shared the ring with some of the greatest tag-teams in WWE, but his choice for the greatest duo never competed in the promotion. On X, Mark Briscoe reflected on the anniversary of his and Jay\’s wrestling debut. This earned a response from Zayn, who picked the Briscoes over the likes of the Hardyz, the Dudleyz, the Usos, the New Day and others as wrestling\’s greatest team.

Mark and Jay are 13-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, a record number within the promotion. The pair also held the TNA World Tag Team Championships, GHC\’s Junior Heavweight Tag Team Titles, and the IWGP Tag Team Championships.

The Briscoes as a tag team came to a tragic end in 2023, when Jay was killed in a car accident mere minutes from his home in Laurel, Delaware. Now, Mark has continued on, showcasing his brother\’s legacy, albeit as a singles competitor.

  • Logan Paul Slams \’Cosplay\’ Champion Jey Uso Ahead of Title Showdown

Logan Paul will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, in The Maverick\’s third opportunity at a WWE World Championship. On his ImPAULsive podcast, Paul didn\’t see his competition as much of a challenge ahead of this all-important title match.

\”Jey Uso, someone who in my opinion is very clearly a copycat. He is a person who is cosplaying a championI’m one of the biggest draws they have, if not the biggest. And the fact that I do not have a title on my waist right now is a detriment to the entire company.\”

Paul acknowleged Jey\’s heritage as part of the Bloodline, a family that is home to some of wrestling\’s greatest champions. While Jey Uso may be related to the likes of The Rock and Roman Reigns, he can\’t compare to the two as far as Paul is concerned.

\”You just don’t have that championship aura, dude. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. You couldn’t even come up with your own catchphrase, so you took mine... when Jey’s in the ring with me, he’s going to realize — and so will the rest of the WWE Universe — I’m the superior wrestler.”

Paul\’s attitude both in and out of the ring has rubbed many fans the wrong way. While some take issue with Paul due to his part-time status or the controversies to his name, Logan believes that the hate he receives is often inflated.

\”Logan Paul hate is forced in the WWE. Say whatever the f*** you want about me — that’s negative. About my ability to wrestle. About my ability on the mic. Even about my ability to become champion and beat Jey Uso.\”

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Saturday Night\’s Main Event and Logan Paul\’s quest to end the \’cosplay\’ reign of Jey Uso.

  • WWE\’s Perception of Damian Priest Amid Hard-Hitting Feud

Damian Priest has been showing how tough he is in WWE and it\’s not just the fans who have taken notice. According to a new report from PWInsider, there’s been serious internal discussion within WWE praising the resilience of the former World Heavyweight Champion.

Priest has earned praise considering punishment he’s endured during his rivalry with Drew McIntyre, another tough individual on WWE\’s radar. The pair battled at WrestleMania 41 in a Sin City Street Fight and would be part of the United States title four-way at WWE Backlash. During the match, Priest delivering a brutal elevated South of Heaven chokeslam off a platform and through tables.

During the post-show press conference, Triple H confirmed that Priest didn’t leave that match unscathed. “Damian Priest had a tooth knocked loose tonight.\” WWE\’s Chief Content Officer added that Priest was “hoping it would stay in his head.”

Priest hasn\’t competed since the match at Backlash but fans eagerly await his return to the ring. His next clash with McIntyre is set for WWE Saturday Night Main Event on May 24, where the pair will battle in a steel cage match.

Both in and out of the ring, Damian Priest continues to show his toughness, impressing those backstage as well as the WWE Universe.

  • Mansoor Slams Spider-Man\’s Attempt At Wrestling Success

Pro-wrestling has been depicted in wrestling several times, including in critically-acclaimed hits such as 2008\’s The Wrestler and 2024\’s The Iron Claw. This week, AEW/ROH\’s Mansoor took aim at some portrayals of wrestling he finds less than favorable.

On X, Mansoor took aim at Peter Parker, who tried to become a pro-wrestler before donning the superhero identity of Spider-Man. From Parker\’s look to a questionable comment aimed at Bonesaw McGraw, played by \’Macho Man\’ Randy Savage, Mansoor was no fan of \’the Human Spider.\’

The 2002 Spider-Man film sees Spider-Man beat McGraw in two minutes, earning a measly $200 compared to the $3,000 the promoter promised. When Peter seeks payback by refusing to stop a thief who steals from the promoter, the thief goes on to kill Peter\’s beloved Uncle Ben.

Spidey isn\’t the only fictional star to feel Mansoor\’s wrath. After a clip of Shrek wrestling in the first movie was shared online, Mansoor had some strong words for the Dreamworks ogre.

Mansoor was with WWE for years but now teams with Mason Madden in AEW/ROH and on the independent scene. And for any fictional characters ready to get in the ring, know that Mansoor will be watching your work very closely.

  • Lyra Valkyria Talks Airport Perils As A Champion in WWE

Lyra Valkyria might be the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion, but TSA clearly haven\’t been paying attention. Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Valkyria shared how her trips through airport security with her title aren\’t typically belt-friendly.

\”That happens a lot. That’s starting to get old. I always have to allow that little bit of extra time. Maybe I should just whip it out. Maybe I should just go to the airport with it on my shoulder.\”

Valkyria always travels with her title, mitigating the risk of the title going missing during transport. The Valkyrie added that the reactions from TSA staff can quickly show who is or isn\’t a wrestling fan.

\”I’ll always know if they understand WWE. If not, they’ll be like, ‘Oo, what’s that?’ Like, ‘What weight class are you in?’ And then I know, okay, they don’t know what we do.\”

Not every airport experience is frustrating for Valkyria, who is delighted when staff recognize who she is or that she works for WWE. “Sometimes they get super excited and ask for pictures and stuff. And that’s always nice—like they know they’ve met the champion then. That’s a cool thing.”

While Valkyria continues to defend her title in the ring, it seems the real battle sometimes happens at the airport conveyor belt.

  • Elektra Lopez Set For First Match After WWE Exit, New Name Confirmed

This will be Rivera\’s first match in 2025. Her final match for WWE came in December 2024 when she competed in the Women\’s United States Championship tournament. Lopez wouldn\’t make it past the first round in the tournament eventually won by Chelsea Green.

Now, Karissa Rivera has the chance to show that her skills extend far beyond WWE. After stepping foot in the ring for the first time back in 2017, it remains to be seen how the former Superstar fares in this post-WWE chapter of her career.

Archer got his truck back, but it\’ll be a long asnd expensive process before it is driveable, if that ever comes. His situation shows that the recovery of a vehicle isn\’t always a relief.

  • Nikki Garcia Is Ready for Flirty French Fling At Monaco Grand Prix

Nikki Garcia\’s marriage to Artem Chigvintsev is over, and now the WWE Hall of Famer is ready for some fun. While speaking on the Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki gushed about attending the upcoming DraftKings yacht party during the Monaco Grand Prix. Nikki shared that whilst in Europe, she\’s ready to get her flirt on with the men on the boat.

\”Yeah. In France. Mhm. Vacay fling. I mean, it would be fun. What an experience. Talk about a yacht. Monaco vacay fling, have some good makeouts. That’s what I’m saying. Single Nikki is coming to France!\”

Brie Garcia pitched for her sister to join dating apps, an idea Nikki quickly shot down. Saying she prefers to go \”old-school,\” Nikki discussed her dream-scenario when in Europe.

\”I’d like a moment like sipping an Aperol Spritz sitting by the pool and then an F1 driver walks by.\”

Nikki\’s revelation comes after she recently shared that she\’s been on a few dates, her first after her marriage to Chigvintsev ended with plenty of drama. While Garcia isn\’t looking for a life-long commitment at the Monaco Grand Prix, she won\’t say no to some yacht-based fun.

  • Absent WWE Superstar Spotted Arriving At RAW

The May 19, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw will be a stacked show, which could include the return of an absent Superstar who has been missing for months. On X, WWE shared footage of Kairi Sane make her way to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

Green has been out of action since December 2024 as the \’Pirate Princess\’ has been nursing an arm injury that has kept her out of the ring. On-screen, Sane was written off TV with an attack by the Pure Fusion Collective. Sane won\’t have to worry about the faction should she return tonight, as both Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville have since been released.

With Sane\’s Damge CTRL ally IYO SKY standing tall as Women\’s World Champion, it remains to be seen what role Sane will play should she return tonight. Could Sane be in action in a Money in the Bank qualifier, a match that could lead to her being at odds with SKY? Time will tell…

  • Shawn Michaels on WWE Hall of Fame: I\’ve Got Eight Fingers Left!

Shawn Michaels is already a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, but their may be more honors coming the way of Mr. WrestleMania. During an appearance on Going Ringside, Michaels discussed WWE inducting its first \’Immortal Moment\’ into the Hall of Fame during this year\’s class. Michaels admitted to being intrigued at the idea, before putting himself forward for future honors.

\”I think the one that many think easily goes in is myself vs. The Undertaker. But in my humble opinion, I believe there are numerous others. The good thing is I have eight fingers left, so I only got two Hall of Fame rings. If they wanna fill up the other eight, I have no problem with that.\”

Michaels\’ 2009 clash with The Undertaker is regarded by many as one of, if not the bet match of either man\’s career. If inducted as an Immortal Moment, it\’d make Michaels the second-ever three-time inductee, only behind his long-time adversary Bret \’Hitman\’ Hart.

Even if Michaels was not inducted for his matches, he could still receive a third induction as part of The Rockers. WWE has been open to inducting talent for both singles and tag-team work, such as Booker T, and Michaels\’ popularity alongside Marty Jannetty could earn him a ring.

Michaels was inducted in 2011 for his role as a singles star and as part of DX a decade later. With a career filled of epic moments and matches, it may be just a matter of time before Michaels has at least one more Hall of Fame ring weighing down his fingers.

  • KJ Orso Is Working To Get Rid of His AEW Loser \’Stench\’

KJ Orso is opening up about his experience in AEW, revealing that he felt overlooked and underutilized while working as an \’All-Elite\’ talent. On Busted Open Radio, Orso, who competed as Fuego Del Sol, didn\’t shy away from naming Tony Khan as a cause of his frustrations.

“I don’t think Tony Khan ever had any true plans for me. I think the fanfare and the respect I earned from the locker room almost forced his hand to signing me.”

Orso would have glimmers of potential in AEW, including appearing on-screen alongside the likes of Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara. Despite this, Orso summarized that he only received work if others wanted it, and that \”there was no real plan for me ever.\”

Realizing he was in a rut, Orso pitched competing in Japan or even unmasking and doing something entirely different to what hadn\’t been working. None of these ideas were followed up on by Khan, leaving him feeling stifled creatively.

“I really do feel that I had become a lovable loser in a sense, and there’s a stench I’ve been dying to get rid of since leaving AEW.\”

Orso unmasked and shed his Fuego Del Sol identity at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9, an act he\’d wished to do years earlier. Now competing under his real name, K.J. Orso is determined to redefine himself and showcase the version of himself that AEW never fully embraced.

  • Lucha Legend Backs El Grande Americano Amid Insensitivity Claims

The character of El Grande Americano has drawn criticism from fans and wrestlers alike who view the character as racially insensitive and a mockery of lucha libre. Speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan dismissed these criticisms, arguing that fans will always find something to complain about.

\”A lot of people are complaining, bro? People complain about everything. You could give people a gold bar and they’d be like, ‘Oh, there’s a scratch in the corner.\’ You can take it as far as you want.\”

Konnan acknowledged that pro wrestling has \”always been behind the curve on racial sensitivity,\” whether it be it\’s treatment of black, Japanese, or Samoan talent. Today, Konnan is pleased that El Grande Americano\’s take on lucha libre is intended as funny, rather than hateful.

\”You just can’t be outwardly racial. You have to be very funny and kind of subtle about it. But it’s a parody, you know what I’m saying? I have no problem with it.\”

Konnan doesn\’t have an issue with El Grande Americano, especially when compared to some of WWE\’s other Mexican-based characters. On his podcast, Konnan recalled some of WWE\’s ideas that he took issue with.

“I think the most important part, is it demeaning Mexicans? No, it isn’t. If you remember the lawnmower thing — the Mexicools — very demeaning, you know? I also thought the piñatas were demeaning with the Lucha… whatever, Lucha House Party.”

Americano recently defeated Dragon Lee for the WWE Speed Championship and will reportedly be heading to AAA soon enough. While debate around the character is unlikely to fade soon, Konnan views it as a lighthearted homage to old-school wrestling—not an insult.

  • John Cena Made His Stupidest Decision At ECW One Night Stand 2006

John Cena is now a heel but the Undisputed WWE Champion received a frosty reception at ECW One Night Stand 2006, despite being a babyface. Speaking at the Philadelphia Fan Expo, Cena recalled the hostile reaction as he walked into the Hammerstein Ballroom to face Rob Van Dam.

\”the audience was pretty bad. The event started at about seven o\’clock, and we went on last, and at around seven, they were so audibly chanting \’F-You Cena,\’ so I know when I went out at ten o\’clock, it was going to be pretty gnarly.\”

With his head down and title raised, Cena made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. During his talk, Cena shared that he did something he\’d never dream of doing again in his career.

\”It was the most stupid decision of my life, but I told Rob, \’Hey, let\’s go out through the audience.\’ And I just wanted to see what would happen… I thought I was going to get my a** kicked.\”

Cena appreciates that fans let their voices heard without resorting to violence, leaving the professionals to put on an incredible show. As Cena embraces being a villain once again, the Unseen Seventeen isn\’t forgetting the importance of fans knowing not to get physical.

  • WWE LFG Renewed For Three More Years, Claims Legend

Fans haven\’t seen the last of WWE LFG now that the first season has completed as the show has reportedly been green-lit for many years to come. Speaking to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture at Comic Con Revolution Ontario, WWE LFG trainer Mickie James dropped the bombshell.

\”It was so fun. It was so much funit’s gotten picked up not just for another season, but for three years — like six seasons hopefully — that’s a big damn deal. I loved it.\”

While the show will continue on, it will go ahead without James. For the second season, Michelle McCool will join the panel of legends alongside Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley, and her husband The Undertaker. McCool\’s inclusion has sparked a backlash with fans arguing that she only has the role due to her marriage to the Phenom. While The Undertaker reportedly pushed for McCool to be brought to the show, it is not believed he pushed James out.

In the interview, James spoke about her role on the show and how her relationship with The Undertaker has changed through WWE LFG.

\”I’d only seen him as the judge and jury of the locker room. To feel like an equal with these Hall of Famers, as the first female coach and the only one not in the Hall of Fame — it was a big deal.\”

WWE LFG wrapped up in May 2025 with Tyra Mae Steele and Jasper Troy earning WWE NXT contracts. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the hit series.

  • The Undertaker Crowned First-Ever Champion on WWE LFG

The first season of WWE LFG is over with two of the show\’s recruits earning contracts with WWE NXT. Not only did Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae Steele win big during the season finale, so did WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker.

The Undertaker had been the coach of Steele and Shiloh Hill, the other finalist of the men\’s side of things. As he was the only legend with two talents in the finals, the Phenom was crowned the first-ever WWE LFG Champion. He was also presented with a championship by his long-time in-ring rival and head of WWE NXT, Shawn Michaels.

WWE LFG has already been confirmed for a second season with The Undertaker\’s wife Michelle McCool replacing Mickie James on the show. Will the Phenom be able to retain his WWE LFG Championship? Only time will tell…

The wrestling world is mourning the passing of Mike Raybeck, known to fans as Maxx Justice and Mike Diamond, who has died following a tragic bicycle accident in Hayward, California. The former wrestler was struck by a vehicle while riding home from work near Chabot College.

Raybeck’s passing was acknowledged during a Hayward City Council meeting on May 13, where a moment of silence was held and flags were lowered in his honor. We here at SEScoops would like to extend our deepest condolences who knew Mike Raybeck at this difficult time.

  • John Cena Keeps Coy About Potential Political Future

Will John Cena enter the political ring when his time in the squared circle is over? Don\’t expect a clear answer from the Undisputed WWE Champion. During a red carpet event for his new movie Heads of State, Cena was asked about a potential future in politics and provided a rather diplomatic answer.

\”I hope everybody enjoys Heads of State on Prime Video.\”

Heads of State sees Cena play the President of the United States who must work alongside the British Prime Minister, played by Idris Elba. This is the second time the pair have shared the screen after previously tag-teaming on James Gunn\’s The Suicide Squad in 2021.

If Cena was to enter politics, he\’d join wrestling alum including Glenn \’Kane\’ Jacobs and Jesse \’The Body\’ Ventura. For now, Cena won\’t give a clear answer about his future, already taking a trick from the playbook of many elected officials.

  • Alexa Bliss Opens Up About Motherhood, WWE\’s Help

Alexa Bliss became a mom to her daughter Hendrix in 2023, taking over a year away from the ring before making her in-ring return in February 2025. Speaking to TMZ, Bliss expressed her appreciation for how WWE has supported her as a wrestling parent.

“They’ve been so great about bringing her on the road. She’s got her own setup when we go, and she loves it,” Bliss said.

She returned to WWE television in May 2025 following a few months away from TV. When asked about the biggest challenge of balancing motherhood with her wrestling career, Bliss emphasized the importance of managing her time.

“I think it’s more of just balancing time with the baby… They [WWE] were so great about it. I got a whole year with her and it was fantastic. It was so great.”

Bliss is among several WWE moms, including Jade Cargill, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, and others. These women continue to show that the female stars of WWE can successfully balance motherhood with life in the ring.
