  • Jey Uso Enters King of the Ring Tournament After World Title Loss

Jey Uso is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion but he could soon add the King of the Ring crown to his trophy cabinet. On Instagram, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce shared that Jey will join Sheamus, Rusev, and Bronson Reed in a Quarter-Finals match during the June 16, episode of the red brand.

While this is a golden opportunity for Jey, many fans aren\’t happy with Uso\’s entry into the King of the Ring tournament. The comments of Pearce\’s video was flooded with messages from fans supporing Karrion Kross as part of the growing favor of the former NXT Champion. Ilja Dragunov and Mr. Iguana were also thrown out as tournament entrants instead of Jey.

Jey lost the World Heavyweight Championship to GUNTHER on the June 9, Raw, kicking off the second reign of the Austrian powerhouse. It remains to be seen if Uso can bounce back with a win next week over three very game adversaries.

  • \’Indy God\’ Shotzi Blackheart Intensifies Matt Cardona Beef In Parody Video

Since being released from WWE in April 2020, Matt Cardona has established himself as the \’Indy God\’ but now there is a challenger to the throne. Since her own release, Shotzi Blackheart has made a stir outside WWE, leaving Cardona frustrated that a new \’Indy God\’ has emerged.

On YouTube, Shotzi shared a \’formal apology\’ to Cardona, though she seemed anything but remorseful. Shotzi\’s video parodied Cardona\’s \’Z! True Long Island Story\’ from his days as Zack Ryder, complete with her own \’Independent Championship,\’ a playful nod to Cardona\’s Internet Championship.

Dubbing herself \”the new Indy God,\” Blackheart dubbed Cardona her \’Broski of the week\’ even promising to send a signed photo to her fellow WWE alum. Pointing out how much Cardona posts about her, Blackheart saw this as a clear sign of his support. You can check out some of Cardona\’s posts below.

A war is clearly brewing between Cardona and Blackheart, all over the title of the top name in independent wrestling. It remains to be seen who stands tall when the pair battle in GCW this July.

  • Konnan: Nick Khan Had Huge Praise for Worlds Collide

The WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event delivered on many fronts with Nick Khan having major praise for the crossover show. Speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan discussed being nervous about the show flopping before it aired, and was thrilled to see how the event turned out.

\”It ended up being the number one trending topic, okay? And across all their social media platforms—and I’m sure it’s even more now—they had 32 million views in just the first 24 hours. So, yeah, it was a success.\”

It wasn\’t just Konnan, who commented at Worlds Collide, who was pleased. On his podcast, Konnan recalled a brief interaction with Nick Khan after the event.

“I spoke to him briefly—Nick Khan, yes, I’m a Nick Khan guy. I said, ‘I think we hit a home run,’ and he said, ‘No, we hit a grand slam.’ So there’s that—that’s the President. They’re happy.”

With huge matches and the viral popularity of Mr. Iguana, Worlds Collide was an undisputable success. The show, and Khan\’s praise, bodes well for the future of AAA under WWE.

  • Latest on GUNTHER Regaining WWE World Title on Raw

GUNTHER defeated Jey Uso to become a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion during the June 9, episode of WWE Raw in an exciting main event. 51 days after losing the gold to Jey at WrestleMania, the Austrian proved his might by forcing Jey to pass out in his dreaded sleeper hold.

The title change from Jey to GUNTHER came from Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports. The plan is for GUNTHER to face Goldberg in the latter’s retirement match at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event on July 12. Goldberg will return on the June 16, Raw, where fans can expect his feud with GUNTHER to begin.

The idea has always been for GUNTHER vs. Goldberg to air at Saturday Night\’s Main Event, which will go head-to0head with AEW All In: Texas. Levesque believed the match would be more captivating as a title match to attract viewers to WWE\’s show in the head-to-head battle.

Jey had just two successful title defenses as champion, his first ending as a no contest and his second being at Saturday Night\’s Main Event in May against Logan Paul. Now, the era of the Ring General has returned as GUNTHER holds the gold.

  • Isla Dawn Warns Of Imposter Scamming Fans Online: \’I Hate It\’

Isla Dawn is sharing a warning to fans not to send any money to a social media account claiming to be her. On X, the real Dawn shared a screenshot of her imposter, who is offering the \”latest merchandise\” and the opportunity for fans to send a tip. Dawn dubbbed the fake \”weird\” and warned fans, saying \”don\’t send this person any money.\”

Scammers assuming the identity of wrestlers, often female talent, is sadly nothing new. A scammer used Alexa Bliss\’ identity to con Alfred Mancinelli out of $1 million, as well as his granddaughter’s college fund. Mancinelli\’s son later shared that his father would have kept giving away his money to the scammer had he not passed away.

For anyone who falls victim to the fake Isla Dawn, it\’s almost certain they\’ll never see any merchandise or any benefit to giving a tip to the profile. Dawn\’s warning serves as a reminder to always be wary with those one meets on the world wide web.

Fans may never see Stu\’s haircut, but he has a new look thanks to Logan Paul, a look he clearly isn\’t ready to embrace just yet.

  • Terri Runnels Reveals Near-Death Experience During WWE Match

Terri Runnells is better known as a manager than a wrestler, but one match nearly marked the end of the former Marlena. Speaking with Ring the Belle, Runnels recounted a frightening moment from a 2002 Monday Night Raw “fluff match” against Stacy Keibler which saw her get tarred and feathered with a combination of syrup and feathers.

\”The mistake I made was trying to take a breath before the syrup hit. Oh my god. I opened my mouth to breathe—and it all came in. The syrup coated my throat.\”

Having her throat drenched in syrup made things difficult for Runnels, and things went from bad to worst once the feathers came into play.

\”When the little pin feathers from the feather pillow hit, they went straight into my throat. Every tiny feather stuck because of the syrup. I couldn’t breathe. I thought, ‘I’m going to die on live television.\”

Runnels described the situation as \”God awful\” but made it through the show and continues to live to this day. Fans continue to be relieved that the incident didn’t end in tragedy and she would remain with WWE for another year or so before pursuing opportunities outside of the promotion.

  • Nikki Bella Confirms Extended WWE Return, Not A One Off

Nikki Bella made her WWE television return during the June 9th edition of Monday Night Raw and fans can expect to see much more of her. Speaking with PEOPLE, Bella revealed that this comeback won’t be limited to a single appearance, as is often the case with WWE Hall of Famers.

“You’ll definitely see me for a bit,” Bella said. “It’s not a quick in and out.”

The WWE Hall of Famer has not competed inside the ring since her appearance at the 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Now, with a major storyline unfolding opposite Liv Morgan, fans are eagerly anticipating their upcoming clash at the Evolution 2 Premium Live Event.

Nikki Bella clearly aims to prove she can still perform at a high level. Whether she competes beyond Evolution 2 remains to be seen, but fans can expect plenty from the former Divas Champion.

  • 7 Years Later, WWE 2K18 Is Playable On Nintendo Switch

WWE 2K18 is at long last playable on a Nintendo Switch console, as long as players are willing to pay big-money for a new console. The game, WWE 2K\’s first and so far only attempt at handheld console gaming, proved to be a nightmare for fans to play as the system lacked the necessary processing power. Instead of exciting matches and compelling moments, fans were treated to painfully slow sequences and matches that often crashed the game befor a winner could be decided.

Now, the game is playable, at least on the new Nintendo Switch 2. YouTuber RGT 85 has uploaded a video of the worst games from Nintendo Switch and revealed that WWE 2K18 finally plays as planned on the new console.

2K Games have announced they plan to release new WWE 2K titles on the brand new Nintendo Switch 2. It remains to be seen if they prove to be playable at launch, or if fans will have to wait another seven years before a new game actually works on a Nintendo console.

  • MJF Slams Mistico\’s WWE Run Ahead of Dynamite Showdown

The June 18, edition of AEW Dynamite will take place in Arena Mexico with a stacked card announced including MJF Vs. Mistico. On the June 11, episode, the two met in the ring and MJF held nothing back against the masked star.

Mistico made his AEW return this week and picked up a clean win. But things heated up after the bell when The Hurt Syndicate and MJF made an appearance. After the pair traded digs, MJF said that he only knows Mistico as \”sloppy Sin Cara,\” a swipe at his WWE run.

Mistico’s WWE run as Sin Cara was plagued by injuries, botched moves, and criticism as he failed to live up to the hype of \’the next Rey Mysterio.\’ He was ultimately released in 2013 amid a combination of issues, including a wellness policy violation and reported difficulties adapting to WWE\’s in-ring style.

After Mistico\’s release, WWE kept the Sin Cara character, who\’d be played by Hunico. With tensions rising, it remains to be seen who stands tall when the pair battle in Mexico.

  • AEW Lawsuit Filed By Kevin Kelly & The Tates Moves to Arbitration

Kevin Kelly and the Tate Twins just hit a legal roadblock in their lawsuit against AEW, which will now play out behind closed doors. A federal judge in Florida has ruled that Kelly and the Tates must take their dispute into private arbitration. Judge Harvey E. Schlesinger writes:

\”All disputes between Talent and AEW… [to] be resolved for final, binding, and conclusive arbitration conducted before a single arbitrator in Duval County, Florida.”

Attorney Stephen P. New, representing the plaintiffs, told POST Wrestling that \”We look forward to pursuing the plaintiffs\’ claims in arbitration.\”

This lawsuit was filed in August 2024 against AEW, Tony Khan, and commentator Ian Riccaboni. Kelly has claimed that Riccaboni falsely painted him as a QAnon supporter, which allegedly played a role in Kelly\’s exit from AEW. The Tate Twins, better known as Dalton Castle\’s \’Boys,\’ claim that Khan damaged their reputations when he claimed they had missed events, mere hours after the pair were cut from AEW in April 2024.

Now, this case will play out in arbitration, making a public fallout unlikely, if not impossible. It remains to be seen whether the two sides can come to terms in arbitration.

\”I probably will never know why they released me but, WWE doesn’t owe me anything. That’s showbiz, right?\”

Though Shotzi is gone, there\’s no shortage of talents who have returned to WWE after establishing themselves elsewhere. For Blackheart, a return to WWE isn\’t off the table.

\”I would love to be back at WWE. I loved working there… It was only when I wasn’t being used that I was unhappy.\”

With her time in WWE a thing of the past, at least for now, Shotzi is looking to the future. When asked if she\’d like to land in either AEW or TNA full-time, Shotzi saw herself as a future \’All-Elite\’ talent.

\”I love their freedom, I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things. I’ve heard many stories of how Tony (Khan) treats talent. So, yeah, I do love that he really cares.\”

Signing with AEW would also give Shotzi the chance to face ROH Women\’s World Champion Athena, a star Shotzi is very familiar with. Shotzi named Athena, who she once held the NXT Women\’s Tag Team Championships with, as a dream match, adding that \”I am such a huge fan of her.\”

Shotzi Blackheart is already racking up bookings post-WWE, showing that there is a market and interest in her. It remains to be seen if a return to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut, or a future in AEW, ever happens.

  • Chelsea Green On How She Got Lucky With Broken Nose Injury

A broken nose is never a fun experience, and in wrestling can result in a talent losing weeks of action. As Chelsea Green explained on the Lightweights podcast though, things could have been much worse for her during her recent broken nose injury.

\”It looks pretty good. Honestly I\’m shocked, it was such a clean break. I barely had bruising, I barely had swelling, I could breathe properly. I was lucky.\”

Green suffered her broken nose during a showdown with Zelina Vega at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event. Always one to make the best out of a bad situation, the longest-reigning Women\’s U.S. Champion saw her injury as a chance to show a new, creative side.

\”We shifted creative to do something fun. So I could bedazzle a mask, so I could hit Piper with it at TV when Alba had a match. Who knows what we\’ll be doing tomorrow.\”

Chelsea Green may be dealing with an injury but that won\’t keep her from entertaining fans aroun the world with her antics in and out of the ring.

  • Latest On CM Punk In Saudi Arabia After Past Criticism

WWE has officially announced that CM Punk will face John Cena for the WWE Undisputed Championship, with their long-awaited showdown to come at Night of Champions. The match has sparked a discussion about Punk\’s involvement, given his past criticisms about WWE\’s partnership with Saudi Arabia.

WWE has been planning for Punk to be part of the Saudi event for some time, Dave Meltzer reports. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said that despite WWE removing Punk from a promo package for the event, the response from WWE sources was \”he\’s going.\”

Punk has not shared any issues with going to Saudi Arabia in recent months, despite his past criticism of Saudi events. In an infamous, now-deleted tweet from 2020, Punk told The Miz to \”Go suck a blood money covered d**k in Saudi Arabia you f**ing dork\” when Miz made a comment on WWE Backstage Punk saw as a swipe at him. The two later reconciled when they crossed paths backstage at WWE RAW in 2023.

WWE Night of Champions will be held on Saturday, June 28, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It remains to be seen if Punk can be the one to save WWE from the \’Unseen Seventeen.\’

  • Chelsea Green Eager For Total Divas Reboot, Shares Dream Cast

\”Every day. Every minute of every hour of every day, I think about Total Divas.\”

A longtime fan of the show, Green didn’t hesitate to cast herself in a hypothetical reboot. She also nominated her friend Maxxine Dupri and explained why Tiffany Stratton might surprise viewers.

\”Tiffy is a shoo in. Although I think it\’s funny because she\’s not like her character. She\’s so much calmer and she\’s very down to earth, so that actually might be boring for reality TV. I dunno, she\’s so normal.\”

Green initially overlooked Zelina Vega until host Joe pitched her, and then wrapped up her dream cast by naming Nia Jax—a Total Divas alum she believes would bring serious value as she \”knows everything about everything\” and would be perfect to \’spill the tea.\’

While WWE currently has no plans to revive Total Divas, Chelsea Green is clearly ready to add “reality TV star” to her résumé if the opportunity ever arises.

Ron Killings has made an impactful return to WWE, and fans have Triple H and Nick Khan to thank for his return. Taking to X, Killings name-dropped WWE’s CCO and President when discussing his return. Killings also declared that people “put some RESPECT on my name,” demonstrating his more serious side.

The emotional reinvention marked one of the most striking character shifts in recent WWE memory, closing the door on years of comedic antics. Killings’ new side was on clear display at WWE Money in the Bank, where he attacked John Cena, the man R-Truth once called his ‘childhood hero.’

  • Chad Gable Won\’t Hide His Nipples Amid Americano Speculation

At WWE Money in the Bank, the commentary team once again discussed whether Chad Gable and El Grande Americano, with talk turning to the pair’s respective nipples. While Michael Cole argued that Gable and Americano have identical nipples, this claim was met with bewilderment by Pat McAfee and Wade Barrett.

On Raw Recap, Gable responded to the unusual on-air commentary and made it clear he doesn’t want the topic brought up again.

“Well, I heard there was an extensive conversation about my nipples on that pay-per-view broadcast, so let’s put an end to any Chad Gable nipple talk right now.”

Gable has always rejected the notion that he and Americano are one and the same. In the interview, Gable bawked at the idea that nipples will become key identifiers like fingerprints.

“I don’t try to hide them—there’s nothing to hide. Nipples look alike, so what are you gonna tell me, you’re gonna try to match someone’s nipples? Are you crazy? What are we doing here?”

Despite the bizarre debate, Gable has had a standout week including headlining WWE x AAA Worlds Collide and competing on Raw. In terms of his nipples, Gable won’t hide what he has, no matter what Michael Cole has to say.

  • Jacy Jayne Fires Back at Critics After NXT Women’s Title Win

Jacy Jayne isn’t paying attention to the doubters after capturing the NXT Women’s Championship. On Busted Open Radio, Jayne acknowledged that while her win took many by surprise, she wasn’t amongst them.

“Hard work eventually is going to pay off. Like I always knew I would get to this point, I just didn’t know when it would happen. So I’m not shocked.”

Jayne captured the gold from Stephanie Vaquer in what proved to be the Chilean Superstar’s farewell to WWE NXT. For Jayne, her dedication in and out of the ring has paid off.

“I would do my training here at the PC in the morning. I would take ring and then I’d do strength and conditioning. I’d go home, I’d take like a power nap and then I’d go to Flatbacks at night—Tyler Breeze and Shawn Spears’ school.”

Jayne walked into the title match as a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Gigi Dolin. Now with the top prize in WWE NXT around her waist, Jacy Jayne is ready to silence all who doubt she is a champion of the ring, including the recently-debuted Mariah May.

\”I\’ve got to give it to him; I think he stepped up. I think he fulfilled a lot of hopes and expectations that people had in him.

While GUNTHER regained the gold, things could have gone differently. The Ring General admitted that Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins remains a threat, as does a long-rumored showdown with Bill Goldberg.

\”Everyone was speculating that Seth Rollins was gonna do something with his briefcase, or that Goldberg was gonna show upwhen I was world champion the first time, all those big names stayed away from me—and for good reason.\”

Time will tell what GUNTHER\’s second reign looks like, but he plans to hold the World Heavyweight Champion for a long time. And after a dominant first reign, the second run of the Ring General could be his best yet.

In 2020, Sonya Deville was the victim of an attempted kidnapping which resulted in her needing months away to deal with the trauma. Several wrestlers, often female, have spoken about their experiences with fans who take things way too far.

Hopefully, Aminata won\’t have to go through this again, as the fan learning of her hotel room left her feeling unsafe.
