  • Kevin Kelly & Tate Twins Lose AEW Appeal, Case Stays in Arbitration

Kevin Kelly and the Tate Twins have hit a serious roadblock in their legal battle with AEW. This week, The 11th Circuit Court dismissed their appeal to overturn a ruling that forced their case into private arbitration. This ruling seemingly closes the door on any chance of a public trial.

The lawsuit, first filed in August 2024, accused AEW, Tony Khan, and commentator Ian Riccaboni of breach of contract and defamation. The appeals court upheld Judge Harvey Schlesinger’s prior decision, citing a “classic delegation provision” in AEW’s talent contracts. With the appeal denied, the case will stay behind closed doors in arbitration, away from the fans and media scrutiny.

Kevin Kelly claimed he was wrongfully branded a QAnon supporter by Riccaboni after posting about The Sound of Freedom, and that the controversy ultimately cost him his AEW job. Meanwhile, the Tate Twins alleged Tony Khan damaged their reputations by questioning their professionalism following their April 2024 release. Khan claimed that the pair had missed dates for AEW.

With the matter to be handled through arbitration, it remains to be seen what kind of decision both sides come to. Nevertheless, fans shouldn\’t expect a public spectacle in this matter now that this appeal by the plaintiffs has been rejected.

  • AEW Wrestlers Team With Justice League in New DC Comics Event

All Elite Wrestling & DC Comics are stepping into the ring together once again, this time for the biggest crossover yet. In a new two-issue comic book event, the AEW roster and the Justice League will unite. Those attending New York Comic Con will get to enjoy an exclusive preview of the series.

    From AEW:

\”In this epic tale, AEW’s finest — including Mercedes Moné, Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, \”Hangman\” Adam Page, “Timeless” Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Orange Cassidy, and Kenny Omega — team up with legendary DC Super Heroes including Aquaman, Batman, Nightwing, Green Lanterns Guy Gardner and John Stewart, Hawkgirl, Zatanna, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn. Together, they must recover the Big Galactic Belt and prevent a cosmic catastrophe.\”

Issues will be available from comic book stores, ShopAEW.com, and select AEW live events in 2026. In addition to this series, DC and AEW will also co-promote DC K.O., a new DC Comics event that will hit shelves in October 2025. DC will also serve as the sponsor for AEW Full Gear 2025 in Newark, New Jersey.

This crossover isn\’t the first time that the AEW and DC Comics have teamed up. In 2024, several issues of DC Comics featured short stories giving the background behind some of the All-Elite roster. These stories were later re-released as a collected \’AEW Origins\’ book.

Pro-wrestlers have often been described as akin to comic-book characters, and never has this comparison felt more apt. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on AEW which continues to make waves in entertainment outside of the ring.

  • Randy Orton and IShowSpeed Hint at Upcoming WWE Collaboration

IShowSpeed and Randy Orton may be doing much more together very soon after the streamer nearly hit an RKO \’outta nowhere.\’ At his Speed Goes Pro launch event, Speed teased hitting Orton with the RKO, but the pair aughed and shared a hug.

Orton then hinted at future plans with the YouTube star, saying: “I guess we’re doing something in a couple of weeks, right?” Speed agreed and asked if Orton was ready for what’s next. When Orton replied that he was, Speed lit up and declared: “Of course, bro! Let’s do it, man.”

What the pair have planned remains unclear, but they already share some WWE history. At WrestleMania 40 in April 2024, Orton dropped Speed with a highlight-reel RKO on top of the announce table during Logan Paul’s U.S. Title defense. While Paul retained that night, Orton’s spot with Speed became one of the weekend’s biggest talking points.

Speed’s last WWE appearance came at the 2025 Royal Rumble, where his interaction with Bron Breakker went viral. After the match, he vowed to return for the 2026 Rumble—but his next move with Orton seems set to happen much sooner than WWE’s Saudi Arabia PLE.

Speed’s cameos have quickly become a fan-favorite part of WWE programming. Whatever he and Orton have planned next, expect it to be a viral hit if Speed\’s past WWE cameos are any indication.

  • Jack Perry On How AEW Helped Him Process Losing His Father

In March 2019, the world mourned the sudden passing of actor Luke Perry, who died at age 52 after suffering a stroke. Among those most deeply affected was his son, AEW star Jack Perry.

Just weeks before his father’s death, Jack had been announced as part of AEW’s roster—two life-changing moments that collided in unexpected ways. Reflecting on that period in an interview with TV Insider, he shared:

“It was the best thing to ever happen to me with the worst thing to ever happen to me. They kind of went hand-in-hand. It was an interesting time. I’m very grateful to have had this in my life and be a part of it with the people who have been there. I’m looking forward to the future.”

While Luke Perry was best known for his acting career, he also shared wrestling memories with his son. The two were spotted together in the crowd at SummerSlam 2009, years before Jack would become a professional wrestler himself.

Jack explained that having AEW in his life helped him cope with the loss, giving him both direction and community:

\”I felt very lucky I had something I could pour my entire self into… It ended up being a very good support system as well. I had some friends already and met some of the best friends I have now.\”

Since then, Jack Perry has grown into one of AEW’s most notable stars. Recently reunited with Luchasaurus, the “Scapegoat” has re-established his place in AEW and it remains to be seen what\’s next for the pair.

  • Britt Baker Thanks Fans After Missing Hometown AEW Dynamite

Britt Baker is showing love to her fans as questions continue to grow around her absence from AEW programming. The September 24, episode of AEW Dynamite was in Baker\’s hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, but the DMD was not featured on the show.

Baker took to X to thank the fans who continue to show her support every day. While acknowledging that social media can be filled with “trolls,” she wanted to highlight the real fans who always have her back.

Once the top star of AEW’s women’s division, Baker has seen her presence fade in recent years. Her last match came in November 2024 on Dynamite, capping off a year in which she wrestled only five times. That’s a sharp decline from her most active year in 2021, when she competed in 30 matches for AEW.

While Baker hasn\’t been active, her days in the ring are not over. In August, Baker made clear she\’s not retired, despite not competing for close to a year. The previous month, Tony Khan said he likes Britt a lot and they\’ve never had any talks about her leaving AEW. Khan explained that TV time is limited, and Baker would be used when the time is right.

Months later, that time still hasn’t come. For now, though, Baker is keeping the focus on the positives—and on the fans who continue to stand by her.

  • WWE Changes NXT-TNA Invasion Event Name to Showdown

WWE and TNA Wrestling will collide on October 7, but fans won’t be seeing an “Invasion.” Instead, the event will officially be branded as “Showdown.” During the September 30 episode of WWE NXT, the upcoming crossover was referred to as Showdown, with the “Invasion” name quietly dropped. WWE’s original choice had been a nod to the 2001 storyline where WCW and ECW talent “invaded” the WWF.

While WWE hasn’t given a public reason for the rebrand, the change comes after backlash surrounding the word “Invasion.” The October 7 event takes place exactly two years after Hamas’ deadly October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. Israeli outlet Israel Hayom criticized WWE’s choice of wording, writing:

\”The term Invasion, on such a sensitive date, which directly recalls the infiltration of Hamas terrorists into the southern communities and the mass killings of Israelis and Americans, raises questions about who in the organisation is responsible for this preposterous decision.”

Some fans also took issue with the Invasion logo using a prominent red V. While this was the logo used back in 2001, it was argued that the red V was similar to a red downward triangle, a Hamas symbol.

With the \’InVasion\’ name ditched, the two teams were selected during WWE NXT for the upcoming Showdown. The event will feature two four-on-four elimination tag-team matches, as well as a winner-takes-all tag-title match between TNA\’s Hardy Boyz and NXT\’s Dark State.

This rebranding highlights the importance of cultural awareness when making creative decisions in wrestling. Fans can expect a historic crossover when NXT-TNA Showdown takes place on October 7.

  • Teams Selected For NXT Vs. TNA, NXT Star Sides With TNA

The battle lines have been drawn for the WWE NXT Vs. TNA Wrestling Showdown event that will take place on October 7. During the September 30, episode of WWE NXT, the teams for the two Survivor Series elimination matches were revealed.

WWE NXT GM Ava shared that NXT Champion Ricky Saints and NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne will captain their respective teams. Later in the show, Saints picked Trick Williams and Je\’Von Evans. The final spot was decided later in the night when Myles Borne defeated Josh Briggs, thanks to an assist from TNA\’s Matt Cardona.

Jayne chose Jaida Parker and Sol Ruca for her team, and Lola Vice and Fallon Henley both wanted the last spot. A match was made during the show which was won by Vice, earning her the final spot on the women\’s team.

As for TNA, Santino Marella ruled out TNA World Champion Trick Williams being the captain, instead selecting Mike Santana. Santana shared that his team will consist of himself, Moose, Leon Slater, and Frankie Kazarian.

The women of TNA will be led by Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan, despite Jordan being a WWE NXT star. In response, Jacy Jayne dubbed Jordan a \”two-timing traitor\” for siding with the competition. Jordan, who won the title at TNA Victory Road, selected The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay,) and Mara Sade to represent TNA Wrestling.

With talent from both sides in the ring, it wasn\’t long until a brawl ensued. With these matches, and a winner-takes-all tag-team title match between The Hardys and Dark State, the October 7, event will be one to remember.

  • WWE LFG\’s BJ Ray Reveals He Competed With Torn Shoulder

WWE LFG\’s BJ Ray has been dealing with some notable injuries, but that hasn\’t stopped him from competing. On X, Ray revealed that he\’s been wrestling while injured, sharing that he\’s been dealing with a torn rotator cuff and labrum.

\”Ever since my return on LFG season one I have been competing with a 100% torn rotator cuff and labrum. The surgeon asked me, ‘Bro, how have you been wrestling? The only thing holding your shoulder together is your muscle fibers.’ I told ’em, ‘The show must go on.’\”

Ray has been a stand-out star of WWE LFG with his brash personality over ensuring him a spotlight. In his video, Ray shared how his personality helped carry him through both seasons of WWE LFG, and now he\’s healed up.

\”I wrestled both seasons of LFG basically not even able to wrestle because I knew that my personality was more than any other contender had. I have absolutely zero regrets and my shoulder is now repaired.\”

Ray has dubbed himself the \’ratings machine\’ on WWE LFG, and while he didn\’t win the show\’s first season, his work could land him a WWE contract. With his shoulder now repaired, it remains to be seen what\’s next for him in the ring.

  • Triple H & Stephanie McMahon Visit White House, Meet President Trump

Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque and Stephanie McMahon were at the White House this week as part of a new executive order from President Donald Trump. Speaking to reporters, McMahon discussed the order, which relates to using AI to help improve treatments for childhood cancer.

“Kids shouldn’t even know what cancer is, let alone have to face it. And this incredible team believes that too. This executive order makes kids with cancer the first focus of AI innovation across health care in America.”

On social media, Levesque praised his wife for her efforts and referenced Connors Cure, a WWE initiative named after Connor \’The Crusher\’ Michalek, a young fan who died of cancer.

This appearance in the White House isn\’t the only tie between Trump and the WWE power couple. Both Levesque and McMahon are part of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, a body in which Levesque serves as vice-chair. Earlier this year, the pair met with US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Linda McMahon, Stephanie\’s mother, also serves as Trump\’s Secretary of Education. While WWE avoids bringing politics to its programming, the company\’s leaders remain entrenched with the President\’s ongoing campaigns.

  • Matt & Jeff Bringing The Hardy Party To NYC On November 22

Matt and Jeff Hardy will be hosting their own live event from New York City on November 22, giving fans a unique experience from one of wrestling\’s most popular tag teams. As per Jon Alba, the November 22, show will kick off with a live edition of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, hosted by Matt and Alba.

This episode of the Extreme Life podcast will look back at the iconic Royal Rumble 2000 tables match between the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz. In a statement, Matt shared his excitement for the event.

“My brother and I are excited to bring the Hardy Party to the Big Apple, New York City. NYC carries so much tradition with the Hardys, and we cannot wait to share stories that many fans have never heard before. We’re looking forward to having the biggest Hardy Party of all time on Nov. 22!”

Following the podcast, Jeff Hardy will take the stage for a musical performance featuring both original songs and covers that he says have “helped shape his personal and professional journey.” Both events will take place at Connolly’s Restaurant & Pub, 121 W 45th St, New York, NY 10036.

Tickets are priced at $50 for general admission, while VIP tickets are available for $250. The VIP package includes a meet & greet with both Matt and Jeff, a personal photo, a signed item, and priority seating for both shows.

This news comes as the Hardys prepare for their upcoming showdown with the Dudleyz at Bound for Glory, as well as their involvement in the NXT–TNA InVasion storyline. Decades after breaking out in WWE, Matt and Jeff Hardy continue to captivate fans with their enduring star power.

Tickets can be purchased at HardyBoyzLive.com

  • Adam Copeland Joins Jason Statham in The Beekeeper 2

The buzz around Adam Copeland’s acting career continues to grow, as the AEW star has landed a role in Miramax’s The Beekeeper 2, Variety reports. The film is a sequel to 2024’s The Beekeeper, which followed a government assassin who comes out of retirement on a quest for vengeance.

Copeland joins an impressive cast led by Jason Statham, who will reprise his role in the sequel. Returning stars include Jeremy Irons (Die Hard), Emmy Raver-Lampman (The Umbrella Academy), and Bobby Naderi (The Better Sister). Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Copeland are set to appear as new additions to the ensemble.

The WWE Hall of Famer is no stranger to acting. He appeared in 42 episodes of Haven and more recently played Ares in Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

In AEW, Copeland recently announced he would be stepping away from the ring, admitting he was unsure when—or if—he would return. While some speculated this could set up a WWE comeback as John Cena’s final opponent, it now appears his time away will be spent filming The Beekeeper 2.

Details of Copeland’s role remain under wraps, but Hollywood clearly has its eye on the former Edge. With his in-ring career winding down, fans should expect more screen roles in his future.

  • Former NWA Champion Appears On WWE RAW As Backstage Extra

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a former champion of the NWA during the September 29, episode of WWE Raw, playing a role outside of the ring. During the show\’s opening segment, a confrontation between Asuka, Kairi Sane, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley ended with SKY getting misted by Asuka.

Later in the show, SKY was seen backstage getting medical help. Fans familiar with the NWA spotted Ella Envy as one of the medics tending to the former Women\’s World Champion.

Envy, real name Madison Hardin, is a four-time former NWA World Women\’s Tag Team Champion. In 2022, her efforts alongside Kenzie Page saw the duo place #71 in PWI\’s ranking of the top 100 tag teams of the year.

BK Westbrook was the other extra during the segment backstage with SKY. Westbrook is a regular on the independent scene and regularly competes for Deadlock Pro Wrestling. Both he and Envy are based in North Carolina, the home of this week\’s WWE Raw.

For Envy and Westbrook, their roles on Raw gave the pair a taste of the high-production that is a WWE TV event. With some notable names first appearing as extras in WWE, including Sheamus, Wade Barrett, and Tomasso Ciampa, perhaps these cameo roles will be the start of bigger things for the pair.

  • John Cena\’s Final Match Set For Washington, D.C., WWE Confirms

John Cena\’s final match will take place in Washington, D.C. on December 13, WWE has confirmed. During the September 29, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, it was revealed that Washington will play host to Saturday Night\’s Main Event in December, and it will be the host of the final match in Cena\’s storied career.

The 17-time WWE World Champion now has five appearances confirmed before he retires from in-ring competition.

    • October 11: WWE Crown Jewel: Perth (Perth, Australia)
    • November 10: WWE Raw (Boston, MA)
    • November 17: WWE Raw (New York, NY)
    • November 29: WWE Survivor Series (San Diego, CA)
    • December 13: Retirement Match (Washington, DC)

Cena\’s next match will see him battle AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth. This match came about after Cena requested the bout and fans were eager to see the former rivals face off one more time.

Cena\’s farewell tour kicked off in January and has seen him win his record-breaking 17th World Title, as well as a polarizing heel turn. Now, John\’s career will culminate in Washington, giving fans months to prepare for the end of one of the most influential careers in pro wrestling.

  • Hologram Injury Update, How Long He\’ll Be Out Of Action For

Hologram has been on a roll since debuting in AEW, but is currently out of action with an injury. Now, more has come to light about his setback and fans shouldn\’t expect him back anytime soon.

According to Bryan Alvarez, Hologram is dealing with a knee injury and will be out of action “for a long, long time.” The setback forced AEW to scrap plans for a TNT Title match against Kyle Fletcher that was scheduled for the October 1 edition of Dynamite. A planned feud with his “clone” has also been postponed indefinitely.

On the September 27 episode of AEW Collision, Hologram was attacked by TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher following a cryptic video message from the clone. Tony Khan later confirmed that Hologram is dealing with “significant injuries” and will likely miss the remainder of the year.

Since his debut in July 2024, Hologram has remained undefeated in both singles and tag team competition. Unfortunately, this is not his first setback—he also suffered an ankle injury in late 2024.

Whatever comes next, it won’t be until Hologram is fully healed, which will be a lengthy process according to reports. For now, Hologram will need to focus on getting back to 100% and hope to avoid another serious setback.

  • Ridge Holland Suffers Lisfranc Injury, Set For Surgery

Ridge Holland will be out of action for the forseeable future after an injury during a taping for TNA Wrestling. Holland revealed on social media that he is scheduled for surgery this Friday, October 3, due to a Lisfranc injury.

Holland suffered the injury during a match against Moose, a former TNA World Champion. Their match had to be called off and Holland was unable to put weight on his foot after the match. The referee and Moose helped Holland to the back.

A Lisfranc injury occurs when one of more of the metatarsal bones in the foot are displaced from the tarsus. The injury is named after Jacques Lisfranc de St. Martin, a French surgeon who noticed the injury amongst cavalrymen in the early 1800s.

Even a simple injury is a severe setback and may require surgery and months to heal, according to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Fans may recall AJ Styles suffering a Lisfranc injury in late 2024. The former WWE Champion would miss close to four months of action before returning as part of the 2025 Men\’s Royal Rumble match.

Holland has been part of WWE NXT for some time now, and was seemingly poised to play a role in the ongoing NXT-TNA InVasion storyline. Instead, he will have to watch the show from the sidelines as he recovers from this setback.

  • First-Ever WWE ID Championship Match Set For Beyond Wrestling

The WWE ID Championship will be defended for the first time in history when Cappucino Jones puts the gold on the line in Beyond Wrestling. At the Bound for the Floor event on October 12, Jones will defend the title against TJ Crawford.

Jones became the inaugural champion at GCW ID Showcase in August, defeating Jack Cartwheel to etch his name in history. As for Crawford, he has made a name for himself in Beyond, Black Label Pro, GCW, and other independent promotions. Crawford also has experience in bigger promotions, including AEW, Ring of Honor, and TNA Wrestling.

Should Crawford win, he\’ll not just capture the title, but also a WWE ID contract. The WWE ID program supports the development of independent wrestlers in a manner similar to what the WWE NIL program does for college athletes.

With Kylie Rae vacating the WWE ID Women\’s Title due to her pregnancy, all eyes are on Jones to see how he fares in this historic title defense. As for Crowford, he has everything to gain when he competes for the gold on October 12.

  • Vince McMahon Faces More Depositions in WWE Merger Lawsuit

Vince McMahon is continuing to face legal pressure with more subpoenas being filed in the Delaware Chancery Court shareholder lawsuit. Wrestlenomics reports that brothers Paul Mangieri and Michael (Mickey) Mangieri, who were McMahon\’s personal assistants during his WWE tenure, have been subpoenaed for documents.

Liberty Media, who own Formula 1 and other assets, are also scheduled to be deposed. TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer has already been deposed, as has individuals who were WWE board members at the time of WWE\’s merger with UFC.

The lawsuit stems from McMahon\’s decision to sell WWE to Endeavor in 2023. The case alleges that McMahon predetermined the outcome of the merger, steering negotiations toward Endeavor because it was the only deal that would ensure a role with WWE. Plaintiffs have argued that other buyers would not have allowed McMahon to remain after the 2022 \’hush money\’ scandal.

WWE\’s sale to Endeavor would indeed result in McMahon\’s return to the promotion. However, he left once again in January 2024 due to the allegations from Janel Grant\’s ongoing sexual trafficking lawsuit. McMahon continues to claim the relationship was entirely consensual.

Current WWE executives Nick Khan and Paul “Triple H” Levesque, along with former board members George Barrios and Michelle Wilson, are also named as defendants for allegedly failing to act in shareholders’ best interests. McMahon is being represented by Kirkland & Ellis, while Khan, Levesque, and the other board member defendants are represented by Latham & Watkins.

While this case has not received the same attention as the Janel Grant lawsuit, it demonstrates how McMahon is facing plenty of legal battles. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on this and other McMahon lawsuits.

  • WWE Spoils NXT Mystery Attacker With Edited Website Reveal

At WWE NXT No Mercy, Jacy Jayne retained the NXT Women\’s Title against Lola Vice, after a mystery person attacked Vice. Despite this mystery being one of the biggest talking points coming out of No Mercy, WWE has now spoiled the reveal.

On WWE.com, it was revealed that Laney Reid was the masked figure who attacked Vice during the match. WWE\’s initial report of the match started by saying:

\”Jacy Jayne retained the NXT Women’s Championship thanks to a shocking assist from Lainey Reid.\”

This article has since been edited and now reads \”Jacy Jayne is still the NXT Women’s Champion, but not without some controversy.\” Despite this edit, this reveal was caught by fans before being removed.

Reid has been trying to win over Jayne and Fallon Henley in recent weeks. With Fatal Influence recently losing Jazmyn Nyx, it appears that Reid could be trying to fill her spot in the group.

Reid had been set to challenge WWE Speed Women\’s Champion Sol Ruca at No Mercy but it was claimed that an injury forced her to withdraw from the match. During the show, Reid was spotted wearing a walking boot, and was confronted by Vice.

WWE has had its share of mystery attackers in the past, but this mystery already appears to be solved. Time will tell if WWE will stick with plans for Reid to be the attacker or change plans after this unplanned reveal.

  • Braun Strowman Teases Potential Future as Jason Voorhees

Braun Strowman\’s beard is part of his instantly recognizable look, but the former WWE Superstar would ditch his facial hair for the right movie role. In a recent conversation with Collider, the former WWE Universal Champion revealed which horror franchise he’d love to join.

\”Oh, Friday the 13th. Jason, dude… I would gladly shave this beard off to play that character.”

Strowman\’s desire to play Jason Vorhees goes beyond simply being a pipe dream. The former WWE Superstar teased that there have already been discussions about him playing the horror icon. While those talks haven\’t led to a role yet, Strowman remains optimistic.

\”If we could ever get everybody to get back on the same page and allow the licensings to work, I might be the next Voorhees.”

Jason appeared in the first Friday the 13th movie in 1980 and has been the series\’ main antagonist since the second movie. The character\’s iconic hockey mask didn\’t appear until Friday the 13th Part III in 1982. The series currently has 12 films, as well as its own TV series and a new series, \’Crystal Lake,\’ in production.

Strowman has experience in acting, including as part of the 2015 box-office bomb Holmes and Watson. With his WWE career behind him, the Monster Among Men is ready to live up to that moniker as the next Jason Vorhees.

  • Absent AEW Star Makes In-Ring Return After Over A Year

AEW has a loaded roster, which means not every name associated with the promotion gets the chance to be a regular force on TV. Now, one of AEW\’s most legitimate competitors has made their in-ring return after over a year out of the squared circle, but not for AEW.

At Josh Barnett\’s latest Bloodsport event, Anthony Ogogo made his return to the ring. The Olympic Bronze Medalist proved his skills in his Bloodsport debut by defeating Brett Semtex in London, England. This marked a return to action for Ogogo, who last competed at the August 31, 2024, taping of ROH Honor Club, where he defeated Kit Sackett.

Ogogo signed with AEW in 2019 and was trained within the promotion by Dustin Rhodes and Q.T. Marshall. In March 2021, Ogogo made his AEW Dynamite debut and was placed in a high-profile feud with Cody Rhodes. Since that feud ended, however, Ogogo has been seldom used by AEW. In 2024, he joined Shane Taylor Promotions.

Questions remain as to what Ogogo\’s future in AEW looks like, but his match at Bloodsport shows he\’s far from finished in the ring. With Ogogo re-signing with AEW in January 2024, the boxer-turned-wrestler plans on proving why he should be doing much more for Tony Khan.

  • Wrestlers Defend Nia Jax After Jade Cargill SmackDown Match

Nia Jax has faced plenty of criticism throughout her career, with some fans labeling her as dangerous in the ring. Now, Jax\’s colleagues—both past and present—are speaking up in her defense following a recent SmackDown match.

On the September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, Jax teamed with Jade Cargill to challenge WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. The match ended with a botched finish and also saw Cargill suffer a nasty cut that left her bleeding.

On X, one fan claimed that Jax intentionally injured Cargill and called for her to lose every match going forward or be fired. The post drew a fiery response from Tom Pestock (fka Baron Corbin), who said the fan had no idea what they were talking about.

Chelsea Green also came to Jax’s defense, calling her one of the best in the division and describing it as a “travesty” that fans don’t recognize this. Green went on to praise Jax as a locker room leader and emphasized how lucky WWE’s women’s division is to have her.

Jax has been part of WWE’s main roster since 2016 and has been involved in a handful of in-ring injuries. Most notably, in 2018, she accidentally busted open Becky Lynch—a moment that ultimately helped launch Lynch’s rise as “The Man.”

There is no evidence that Jade Cargill’s injury was intentional. Despite ongoing criticism, Jax continues to earn respect from her peers, who value her contributions in the ring and her leadership behind the scenes.

  • Priscilla Kelly Robbed Of Merch At Arizona Meet & Greet

Former WWE Superstar Priscilla Kelly was robbed of her own merchandise during a recent meet and greet with fans. On X, Kelly shared that fans in Arizona \”helped themselves to all of my 8x10s while I was away.\” This is the second time in under a month Kelly has been robbed and she asked fans to \”please, do better.

Kelly later added that due to a red-eye flight, she was unable to meet every single person who wanted to meet her. Nevertheless, stealing from her was completely unacceptable.

Formerly known as Gigi Dolin in WWE, Kelly was among those released from WWE earlier this year. In WWE, she was a former NXT Women\’s Tag Team Champion and had been aligned with Tatum Paxley and Shotzi before her departure.

The stolen 8x10s weren\’t signed, Kelly shared in a later comment, meaning that they\’ll be worth far less if the thieves try to sell them. With many independent wrestlers relying on merchandise sales as part of their income, this is hopefully the last time Kelly has to deal with being robbed.

  • WWE Ref Vicky D\’Errico Takes Top Prize At Bodybuilding Competition

As a WWE referee, Vicky D’Errico usually works to stay out of the spotlight during matches. But at a recent bodybuilding competition, the official proved impossible to ignore.

D’Errico revealed on her Instagram Stories that she captured multiple first-place awards at the NPC IFBB Daytona Pro/AM Championships. She secured the top spot in the Novice category, claimed victory in Open Class C, and went on to earn Overall honors for the event.

Celebrating her wins, D’Errico posted a photo and message to fans with the caption: “Hard work pays off.”

D’Errico’s competitive spirit is nothing new. Before joining WWE NXT as a referee, she competed as a professional boxer for the Rough N’ Rowdy promotion. Making her debut at Rough N’ Rowdy 10 in November 2019, she returned at Rough N’ Rowdy 20 to capture the Women’s Middleweight Championship.

Currently, D’Errico is one of only a handful of female referees in WWE, joining the likes of Jessika Carr and Daphanie LaShaunn. Whether she ever transitions into the squared circle as an in-ring competitor remains to be seen, but her latest accomplishments make one thing clear: she already has the physique to rival the superstars she officiates.

  • Women\’s Blood & Guts Match Teased On AEW Collision

The first-ever Women\’s Blood and Guts match may finally be happening after a challenge was made during AEW Collision. During the main event of the show, Jamie Hayter defeated Julia Hart, only to be attacked by Skye Blue after the match. Queen Aminata would make the save for Hayter.

Thekla joined her Triangle of Madness teammates outside of the ring. Grabbing a mic, Hayter had three words for the faction: Blood and Guts!

AEW hosted its first Blood and Guts match in 2021 after plans for a 2020 event were shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, four Blood and Guts matches have occurred, all of which featured male wrestlers only. In 2024, Tony Khan said there was no policy preventing a Women\’s Blood and Guts match.

In August 2025, Willow Nightingale said it was time for a Women\’s Blood and Guts match, arguing that it would benefit the identity of the AEW women\’s division. With new AEW Women\’s Tag Titles being debuted on Dynamite, it seems a Women\’s Blood and Guts match will be AEW\’s next move forward for the women of the promotion.

  • AEW\’s Hologram Expected To Miss Remainder Of 2025 Due To Injury

One of AEW\’s fastest rising stars is expected to miss the remainder of 2025 due to an injury. During the September 27, edition of AEW Collision, Hologram was attacked by TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher following a cryptic video message from Hologram’s storyline rival, Clon.

On X, Tony Khan shared that Hologram will likely miss the remainder of the year. While Khan didn\’t go into specifics, he shared that Hologram has \”significant injuries.\” Hologram had been set to challenge Fletcher on Dynamite, but that match will have to be changed.

Since debuting in July 2024, AEW has built Hologram, who remains undefeated in singles and tag team matches. This is his latest significant injury for Hologram in AEW, as he previously suffered an ankle injury at WrestleDream in October 2023.

This injury also raises questions as to what\’s next for Clon, who will now either need to find a new storyline, or wait until Hologram is recovered. Hologram is the latest high-profile name to be on the injury list, joining the likes of Dustin Rhodes, Buddy Matthews, Nick Wayne, and Wardlow.

Whatever comes next, it won\’t be until Hologram is fully healed. We here at SEScoops would like to send Hologram all the best on his recovery.
