  • “Hell No, No Way” – Jim Ross Says Brock Lesnar Isn’t Retired

Jim Ross doesn’t believe Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania 42 moment was the end. The WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that the company likely hasn’t seen the last of The Beast.

While speaking on Grilling JR, Ross was asked about Lesnar’s legacy and whether the boots-in-the-ring moment at WrestleMania 42 signaled a real retirement. The conversation quickly turned into a strong defense of Lesnar’s long-term value and the idea that major matches still remain on the table.

Ross first reflected on how confident he was in Lesnar from the moment he signed him. He explained that he immediately saw something different compared to other rookies.

“I knew he was that special, Conrad. My God, I mean, just look at him. And he carried himself like a champion. He’s a big brute. He’s intimidating looking. I paid him more money than I ever paid any rookie. So he was that special,” Ross said.

    Lesnar’s Future in WWE

Despite the emotional boots-in-the-ring moment at WrestleMania 42, Ross made it clear he does not believe Lesnar is fully finished with WWE appearances. Ross addressed the idea that Lesnar’s time might only be changing rather than ending completely.

“Have we seen the last of Brock Lesnar? Hell no, no way. Have we seen the last of Brock Lesnar as a semi-reoccurring character on TV? I think so. But I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him,” Ross said.

Ross suggested Lesnar could return for WrestleMania or other major events. He even pitched a potential rematch with Oba Femi, noting that their previous encounter doesn’t rule out a future showdown.

“For WrestleMania next year or major events, they’ve got somebody. I think if you project that Brock Lesnar returned to fight Oba Femi, let’s say. I know they fought already. That means nothing to me. If you’re good at what you do for a living, you should be able to do it more often than once and kick ass. And I’m sure those two guys could do that,” Ross said.

    Dream Match With Gunther

The conversation then shifted toward one of the biggest dream matches WWE has yet to deliver: Brock Lesnar versus Gunther. The matchup has been rumored for years, and Ross made it clear he believes WWE should save it for the biggest possible stage.

“That’s a match that has to be booked somewhere. I don’t see that before WrestleMania. That’s a WrestleMania match, not SummerSlam, not Royal Rumble. It’s a WrestleMania match,” Ross said.

Ross emphasized that the foundation for the match is already in place. He compared it to building a castle where only the finishing touches remain.

“It’s already half-assed built. It’s like building a castle. You’re now just putting the finishing touches on it because the foundation is laid. That would be a great match. One of your tent poles for next year’s WrestleMania. And it would sell like a sumbitch, especially in Minneapolis, where Lesnar calls home,” Ross said.

Lesnar leaving his boots in the ring at WrestleMania 42 created plenty of speculation about whether his career had reached its end. Moments like that have historically signaled retirement in WWE, but Ross’ comments suggest the company could still be holding onto Lesnar for select major events rather than weekly appearances.

If Ross is right, fans may not have to wait forever to see Lesnar back in action, especially if WWE decides to finally deliver the long-discussed showdown with Gunther on the grandest stage.

  • WWE Officially Announces Night of Champions 2026 For Riyadh

WWE Officially Announces Night of Champions 2026 For Riyadh

    WWE Night of Champions 2026

WWE has officially announced that Night of Champions 2026 will return to Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

The announcement comes from the General Entertainment Authority and Riyadh Season, under the leadership of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, in cooperation with WWE. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 27 at WeBook.com.

“We are proud to welcome Night of Champions back to Riyadh and look forward to delivering another unforgettable night of WWE action for fans in the Kingdom and around the world,” Alalshikh said in the announcement.

Official Confirmation Ends Weeks Of Uncertainty

Today’s announcement puts to rest significant doubt that had surrounded the event. In March, POST Wrestling reported that Night of Champions had been internally penciled for June 27 in Riyadh but noted the event’s status was in question due to military conflict in the region. At the time, neither WWE nor Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority responded to inquiries about potential rescheduling or cancellation.

Night of Champions will be WWE’s second premium live event in Saudi Arabia in 2026, following the Royal Rumble in Riyadh earlier this year, which saw Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan win their respective matches.

ESPN Unlimited Takes Over US Broadcast

The 2026 edition will broadcast live in the United States on the ESPN app with an ESPN Unlimited plan, marking another major PLE under WWE’s new domestic streaming deal. Internationally, the event will stream on Netflix.

According to the announcement, the 2025 edition broke WWE’s U.S. viewership record for a Saudi Arabia event. That show, held at Kingdom Arena on June 28, 2025, featured John Cena defeating CM Punk to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship in what became the final singles match between the longtime rivals. The event also crowned Cody Rhodes as King of the Ring and Jade Cargill as Queen of the Ring.

Road To WrestleMania 43 In Riyadh

The return to Riyadh is another step in WWE’s deepening relationship with Saudi Arabia, which began with a ten-year partnership in 2018. WrestleMania 43 is scheduled for Riyadh in 2027, marking the first time the flagship event will be staged outside of the United States and Canada.

The official match card for Night of Champions 2026 has not yet been announced. Stay with SEScoops for continuing coverage as the card takes shape.

  • New Age Outlaws Name Modern Tag Teams They’d Love to Face

New Age Outlaws Name Modern Tag Teams They’d Love to Face

The New Age Outlaws are a reunited act again, and they already have dream opponents in mind.

Road Dogg and Billy Gunn recently appeared together on Busted Open Radio in the wake of Road Dogg’s departure from WWE’s creative team, with the pair also surfacing in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 42 weekend.

Asked which modern tag teams they would want to face in their prime, each legend went a different direction. Both answers point toward matches that could realistically happen.

Billy Gunn picked his sons, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn, who currently work in AEW as The Gunn Club. Road Dogg went with The Street Profits, praising Montez Ford as a bonafide superstar and calling Angelo Dawkins an athlete among athletes.

“I love the Street Profits, I think they’re great athletes,” Road Dogg said. “I think Montez is a superstar and everybody knows it. Dawkins is the unsung hero. Dawkins is an athlete of athletes.”

A Gunn Club vs. Outlaws Match Is Closer Than It Sounds

The Gunn Club answer is the one with real legs. Billy Gunn is still an active performer in AEW, where his sons work full-time, meaning a Gunns vs. Outlaws match would require no cross-promotional negotiation at all. Road Dogg has not wrestled since 2015, but he has floated the idea of stepping back in the ring for a one-off dumpster match in 2027.

The Street Profits angle carries its own weight given the timing. Ford and Dawkins made a surprise return on the Raw after WrestleMania 42, coming to the aid of Seth Rollins during an attack from The Vision. With Road Dogg no longer tied to WWE creative, the door is at least cracked for a conversation, even if the logistics are heavier.

For a team that built its name on attitude and family lineage, both answers fit. One just happens to be a phone call away.

  • Jelly Roll: Pat McAfee & I Had No Business at WrestleMania

Jelly Roll: Pat McAfee & I Had No Business at WrestleMania

Jelly Roll had a simple mission heading into WrestleMania 42, and he delivered on it in spectacular fashion.

The country music star appeared in a post-show vlog from his suite at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, reflecting on a night that saw him drop an elbow through an announce table onto Pat McAfee during the main event. Jelly Roll was in Cody Rhodes’ corner for the WWE Championship match against Randy Orton, while McAfee sided with Orton after turning heel.

“I had one goal tonight and I kind of succeeded,” Jelly Roll said in the vlog. “Pat, I love you, man. Neither one of us had any business here.”

The sequence unfolded when Rhodes threw McAfee onto the announce table, setting the stage for Jelly Roll to run from a neighboring table and deliver a leaping elbow drop that shattered the table entirely. McAfee was carted out on a stretcher, though he was spotted later that evening at a concert, neck brace and all.

In the vlog, Jelly Roll joked about a photo of himself levitating over McAfee during the impact. “There’s going to be a picture of me somewhere levitating over Pat McAfee and I’m going to have to frame it,” he said.

The night also drew praise from Jelly Roll for the broader show, calling the Oba Femi segment involving Brock Lesnar “one of the more emotional surprises of the night” and describing the six-man ladder match as a standout.

  • Cam’ron Calls Out Roman Reigns, Challenges Usos for SummerSlam

Cam’ron Calls Out Roman Reigns, Challenges Usos for SummerSlam

Cam’ron is calling out Roman Reigns and challenging The Usos to a match at WWE SummerSlam – escalating a beef that began during WrestleMania 42 week.

Firing back on Instagram after Reigns took shots at him on Raw, Cam’ron called Reigns a “little dog” and declared himself the Paramount Chief. “I was never washed, I’ll take you to the fucking cleaners,” he wrote. He then addressed Triple H directly, demanding the full Uso family show up in August. “I can’t wait,” he added.

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXb-95SDpQN/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Cam’ron also mocked Reigns for staying at Raw the night after WrestleMania: “All I can do is laugh at you @romanreigns staying for Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania is like eating thanksgiving leftovers on Monday after thxgvn. The Rock would Never.”

He took aim at Reigns’ position within WWE as well: “But you’re @tripleh lil lil employee. You better do what he says.” The challenge to Jey Uso was direct: “@uceyjucey bring ya whole family and let’s settle this in August at #SummerSlam.”

    What Started It

The feud began during WrestleMania week when Jey Uso appeared on Cam’ron and Ma$e’s It Is What It Is podcast. Cam’ron mocked Jey for being featured on Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 rather than Night 2, dismissing the spot as lesser. Jey grabbed Cam’ron and pulled him over the desk before security intervened. Cam’ron did not appear at WrestleMania 42.

On the Raw after WrestleMania, a newly crowned Reigns addressed the situation during a Bloodline reunion promo, referencing “some washed rapper from the 90s running his mouth” to Jey without naming Cam’ron directly.

Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Title by defeating CM Punk on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42. The Usos teamed with LA Knight on Night 1 to defeat Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed.

No response from WWE or Triple H has been issued regarding Cam’ron’s SummerSlam challenge.

  • WrestleMania 42 Draws 1.82M Viewers on ESPN Sunday Night

WrestleMania 42 Draws 1.82M Viewers on ESPN Sunday Night

WrestleMania 42 delivered strong linear numbers in its first year on ESPN, with TV ratings now in for both nights of the Las Vegas spectacular.

Per Front Office Sports, Night 1 on Saturday, April 18 drew 1.62 million viewers on ESPN2. Night 2 on Sunday, April 19 topped that with 1.82 million viewers on ESPN, a 200,000 jump from the night before.

Night 1 on ESPN2 ranked as the most-viewed telecast of the year on that network, while Night 2 became the most-viewed telecast of the entire weekend on ESPN.

The numbers mark a significant milestone for WWE. WrestleMania 42 was the first edition of the event to air live on ESPN’s linear channels. The first hour of each night simulcast on ESPN2 and ESPN, respectively, as part of ESPN’s deal to broadcast WWE’s main roster events in the United States.

Both nights aired from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas before a combined two-night attendance of 106,072.

  • Chris Jericho Cameos Alongside Nicole Kidman in ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’

Chris Jericho Cameos Alongside Nicole Kidman in ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’

Chris Jericho has made his way to the small screen outside the squared circle. The AEW star appears as a guest on Apple TV+’s hit series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, which is now streaming its latest episode.

Apple TV promoted the appearance on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. Jericho shows up in the series’ fourth episode, which features a wrestling expo scene. Nicole Kidman’s character, Lace, a former pro wrestler, and Nick Offerman’s character, Jinx, a retired wrestler and father to the show’s lead, are also central to the wrestling-themed storyline.

Jericho previously expressed his excitement about the role, saying he “had a blast filming with the legendary Nicole Kidman and the hilarious Nick Offerman.”

What Is Margo’s Got Money Troubles?

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a comedy-drama created by David E. Kelley, based on the 2024 novel by Rufi Thorpe. The series stars Elle Fanning as Margo Millet, a young woman who turns to OnlyFans to support herself and her newborn after becoming pregnant by her college professor. Michelle Pfeiffer also stars as Margo’s mother. The show premiered on Apple TV+ on April 15, 2026, and has earned a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Professional wrestling is woven throughout the show’s DNA. Offerman’s Jinx is a retired pro wrestler whose career wisdom helps guide Margo, while Kidman’s Lace is a former wrestler-turned-attorney who was once half of a tag team called Leather and Lace.

Jericho’s cameo is the latest example of AEW talent crossing into mainstream entertainment. The veteran recently returned to AEW and brought back a popular WWE gimmick before competing against Ricochet at AEW Dynasty. He signed a new multi-year deal with AEW after being a free agent.

WrestleMania 42 Drew 106K Fans, Set Digital and Revenue Records

WrestleMania 42 drew 106,072 fans across two nights at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The event became one of the highest-grossing events in WWE history, the company announced on Wednesday.

On Saturday night, Cody Rhodes retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton despite early interference by Pat McAfee.

WrestleMania 42 featured a record 32 marketing partners, including Snickers, 2K, Riyadh Season, Ram, DoorDash, Wingstop, Wheatley American Vodka, Minute Maid, The General Insurance, PepsiCo’s MUG Root Beer, and Chumba Casino.

WrestleMania 42 fallout continues on Raw and SmackDown this week. Roman Reigns’ post-WrestleMania championship path is already taking shape as WWE builds toward its summer schedule.

  • Montez Ford Reveals Secret Body Transformation During WWE Hiatus

Montez Ford Reveals Secret Body Transformation During WWE Hiatus

Montez Ford pulled back the curtain on what his time away from WWE really looked like, and the results speak for themselves.

Ford posted a photo gallery on his verified Instagram account showcasing a dramatic before-and-after body transformation. The post includes a six-panel collage highlighting the physical changes he went through during his absence from WWE programming.

His caption told the full story:

    “GAINED SOME WEIGHT.
    MADE A BABY.
KEPT IT A SECRET FOR 6 MONTHS.
    TRAINED 8 WEEKS.
    LOST THE WEIGHT.
    FINISHED THE ALBUM.
    COMPLETED 8 MILLION ‘HONEY-DOs’
RETURNED THE MONDAY NIGHT AFTER MANIA.

    KINGS BACK.”

The post fills in the timeline of Ford’s absence from WWE. His wife Bianca Belair revealed her pregnancy during WrestleMania 42 in a moment that became one of the weekend’s most talked-about highlights.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DXb8lrjFNfJ/?igsh=djhxNDJsdmQwYmJr

Ford’s caption now reveals the couple kept the news under wraps for six months before that public announcement, during which time he put on weight.

Once the secret was out, Ford got to work. He completed an eight-week training camp to get back into ring shape ahead of his return. The Street Profits made their surprise comeback on the Raw after WrestleMania 42, with Ford and Angelo Dawkins returning to save Seth Rollins from a beatdown.

Ford also referenced finishing an album during his time off, a nod to his music career outside the ring. Between the new baby on the way, a completed album, and what he described as “8 million honey-dos,” Ford packed a full life into his time away from WWE.

Belair spoke about the pregnancy announcement following WrestleMania, while Ford’s Instagram post gives fans the other side of the story: the behind-the-scenes grind that went into the long-discussed Street Profits return.

  • Sareee Wins $6,347 on Las Vegas Airport Slot Machine

Sareee Wins $6,347 on Las Vegas Airport Slot Machine

Sareee’s trip home from Las Vegas came with an unexpected payday. After competing at the Marvelous show on April 16 as part of the Spark Rush tag team with Takumi Iroha, the Japanese wrestling star was waiting for her return flight when she decided to try a slot machine at the Las Vegas airport.

According to Tokyo Sports, Sareee hit big repeatedly, ultimately walking away with approximately one million yen, the equivalent of roughly $6,347 USD.

Sareee departed Las Vegas on April 19 following her WrestleMania Week appearance. The slot machine session at the gate became an impromptu victory lap before the long flight home.

    Not Her First Big Win

This is not the first time Sareee has turned heads with her gambling luck. Tokyo Sports reports she previously attended a horse racing event and hit a major win on her first prediction attempt, stunning those around her.

The Marvelous Las Vegas show was part of the SHOOTING STAR FEST during WrestleMania Week. Sareee and Takumi Iroha made their U.S. tag team debut as Spark Rush, facing Mio Momono and Johnnie Robbie at the West Coast Pro event.

  • John Cena’s Coyote vs. ACME Movie Gets August Release Date

John Cena’s Coyote vs. ACME Movie Gets August Release Date

John Cena announced the official trailer and release date for Coyote vs. ACME on Tuesday. The film, which was shelved by Warner Bros. in late 2023, is now slated to hit theaters on August 28.

“The biggest cartoon court case ever! Coyote vs. ACME. In theaters August 28,” Cena posted on social media alongside the trailer.

    About the Film

The 2D animated and live-action hybrid centers around Wile E. Coyote suing the Acme Corporation for the many traps that backfired in his relentless pursuit of the Road Runner. Will Forte portrays Coyote’s lawyer, Kevin Avery, while Cena plays Buddy Crane, a ruthless corporate attorney representing Acme Corporation.

The Looney Tunes project was primarily filmed in New Mexico in 2022. The film was allegedly shelved due to cost-cutting decisions by David Zaslav, CEO and President of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Last weekend, Cena hosted WWE WrestleMania 42, four months after his in-ring retirement.

  • Drew McIntyre: I Don’t Hate CM Punk, I Just Thinks He’s ‘Trash’

Drew McIntyre: I Don’t Hate CM Punk, I Just Thinks He’s ‘Trash’

Drew McIntyre isn’t backing down from his issues with CM Punk, but he is drawing a line on one thing. The Scottish Warrior says he doesn’t actually hate the man, even if their animosity remains very real.

Speaking on the Bobbycast Podcast, the multi-time World Champion addressed the ongoing tension with Punk and made his position clear.

While the bad blood is genuine, he framed it as a matter of opinion, rather than emotion.

“I just don’t have anyone I genuinely don’t like. I don’t have time for hate in my life. I don’t really hate him—I think he’s a piece of crap,” McIntyre said. “I don’t have time for haters. So I don’t really hate Punk—I just think he’s a piece of trash.”

McIntyre Previously Compared Punk to Charles Manson

The comments mark a shift in tone from what McIntyre was saying just months earlier. During a June 2024 interview on Guerilla Position: Beyond the Ring, he went much further in describing Punk’s connection with the WWE Universe.

“He has a Charles Manson-like quality. The way he’s just able to convince people to do his bidding and love him,” McIntyre said at the time.

He also compared Punk’s influence to that of dictators, expressing frustration that even Scottish crowds cheered for Punk during their feud.

“They cheer Punk the other night… that kind of hurt. Even in Scotland. It just has that weird thing that certain people in history have. Dictators and the likes,” he added.

The Rivalry Was Real in 2024

McIntyre has consistently maintained that what fans saw between him and Punk in 2024 wasn’t just storyline. He described their rivalry as the result of two talented performers who genuinely don’t like each other.

“The result of a couple of people that are really good at their job who genuinely don’t like each other… was what you saw in 2024,” McIntyre stated.

With these latest comments, McIntyre isn’t softening his stance on Punk. He’s simply redefining it, making clear that while he may not “hate” his rival, the tension between them hasn’t gone anywhere.

Hulk Hogan Addresses Racist Comments in Netflix Docuseries

Hulk Hogan addressed his past racist comments in Netflix’s new four-part docuseries Hulk Hogan: Real American, which was released this week. The series features his final interviews recorded before his passing in 2025 and explores both his legendary wrestling career and personal struggles.

The docuseries examines the distinction between Hogan’s wrestling persona and his real life as Terry Bollea. It includes insights from his family and various wrestling figures, providing an unfiltered view of his complex journey.

    Hogan’s Comments on the Controversy

“I’m a person that got very mad about a personal situation. I used a word. Yeah, I regret it because even under that heavy, crazy fire I should have remained still and kept my mouth shut. But what I said resonates and has an echo effect and keeps vibrating for years.

I’ve driven the car. I keep hitting the wall, crashing and burning, saying stupid stuff and messing up. Whenever I say I have regrets, it’s because I didn’t man up when I said it.”

In the documentary, the WWE Hall of Famer directly addressed the 2015 controversy involving offensive, racist language. Hogan acknowledged his actions and expressed regret for his words.

    Impact on Fellow Wrestlers

D-Von Dudley previously discussed how Hogan’s racist remarks affected him personally during an appearance on VLAD TV. The WWE veteran revealed he idolized Hogan as a kid and was deeply hurt by the comments.

“It hurt really bad. I idolized that man (Hulk Hogan) as a kid. And to hear that broke my heart. It was like, how do I even see him again and even respect him as a man?” D-Von said.

D-Von later told Hogan directly: “I forgive you. I don’t forget it, but I forgive you.”

  • Nikki Bella Announces WrestleMania 43 Will Be Her Last

Nikki Bella Announces WrestleMania 43 Will Be Her Last

Nikki Bella announced that WrestleMania 43 will be her final WrestleMania appearance, revealing the news during a recent episode of “The Nikki & Brie Show.” The WWE Hall of Famer made the emotional declaration after missing WrestleMania 42 due to a severe ankle injury sustained during a SmackDown match on March 27.

Bella broke her ankle in the match, forcing her out of what she described as a hard-earned WrestleMania moment. An MRI the following day confirmed she had torn, sprained, and fractured her ankle, requiring immediate surgery.

Nikki Bella Clears Nia Jax of Blame

During the podcast, Bella addressed online criticism directed at Nia Jax following the injury. She clarified that Jax actually helped her exit the match safely after Bella realized the severity of her injury.

“What I want to clear up, because at first, Nia had gotten a lot of heat online and she actually helped me is when it came to the end of the match and the girls had to take us out, I knew at that point like I couldn’t even put weight on my foot at that point and I was in so much pain where I knew I was like, ‘Oh gosh, this is really bad,’ and I knew what was about to happen, so when she came to take me out, I looked at her and I go, ‘Please no, my foot hurts so bad,’ and she goes, ‘Wait, what?’ And I’m like, ‘I can’t get thrown out. I need to step out,’ so she helped me step out, but people made it like she injured me and I was like, ‘No, Nia actually really helped me in that moment,’ because I don’t know what, I would have belly flopped on the ground if I got thrown because I knew I couldn’t put my feet down,” Bella explained.

    Surgery and Recovery Timeline

Bella received the MRI results while doing media appearances with her sister Brie the day after the injury. The doctor’s call came quickly, which she recognized as a bad sign.

“The next morning before Brie and I go do media and then fly out, I go get an MRI, Brie and I do our media, and then we’re sitting, we get an aperol spritz, a nice little lunch before we have to catch our flight, and then I get the call, which sometimes calls aren’t that quick after an MRI, so when I saw one of our doctors calling, I was like, ‘Oh gosh,’ so I answer and they’re like, ‘Don’t know how you managed to do all of it,’ and then just broke it down to me that I tore, sprained and fractured my ankle and they’re like, ‘You’re just gonna have to go straight to Birmingham, you can’t go home, and we’re gonna get you in surgery ASAP,’” she said.

Bella aims to return to action within six to eight weeks following the surgery.

    WrestleMania 43 Farewell Plans

Reflecting on missing WrestleMania 42, Bella expressed frustration over losing what she considered her final meaningful WrestleMania moment. She revealed that WrestleMania 43, likely taking place in Saudi Arabia, will be her last appearance at the event.

“I don’t think a WrestleMania moment for me is going to come around. I get that I’ll probably have my last WrestleMania next year in Saudi maybe, but other than that, that will be it for me. So this would have been my last WrestleMania moment to share with family members and share with people here and, you know, really feel something,” Bella said.

“And I’ve worked really hard the past year and a half and I haven’t complained. I’ve done what I’ve been told. You know, I’ve helped put people over, even though I don’t care about that. But I’ve really, as far as my character and the impact that I can have, I’ve been very okay taking a step back and helping out and not complaining about it. So this was my moment that I worked really hard for this past year and a half. And for that to all go away is extremely hard,” she added.

The full discussion is available on “The Nikki & Brie Show” podcast.

The new WWE Women’s Champion took to her verified Instagram account (@rhearipley_wwe) on Monday, posting a cryptic message on her story that has fans buzzing with speculation.

The story, posted on April 21, features a text graphic that reads:

“The funniest thing is when someone thinks they are relevant or hold value in your life, especially when they have done everything to prove they should have never been apart of it in the first place… Real clown behavior!”

The post includes a clown emoji in the bottom right corner for added emphasis.

    Fans Speculate on the Target

Ripley did not name anyone in the post, leaving fans to speculate on who the message could be directed toward. Given that she just defeated Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42 to win the WWE Women’s Championship on April 19, some fans immediately linked the post to her in-ring rivals.

Others pointed to the possibility of it being personal and unrelated to wrestling entirely. Ripley has not followed up with any additional context.

    What Led Up to This

Ripley is coming off one of the biggest stretches of her career. Her WrestleMania 42 Night 2 victory over Cargill was a defining moment, and Cargill has already demanded a rematch.

Meanwhile, Liv Morgan was spotted alongside the Judgment Day on Monday’s Raw after WrestleMania, a faction Ripley has deep history with. Morgan has previously described her rivalry with Ripley as a “Batman and Joker” dynamic.

Whether the post is tied to an on-screen storyline, a behind-the-scenes situation, or something entirely personal remains unknown. For now, fans are left reading between the lines of what Ripley clearly intended as a very public, very pointed message.

  • Shawn Michaels: “When Should I Be Dead?” On Aging In WWE

Shawn Michaels: “When Should I Be Dead?” On Aging In WWE

Shawn Michaels has a theory about why WrestleMania 42’s main event card skewed older than ever, and it comes down to one number: 40.

Speaking with Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat during WrestleMania 42 weekend, the WWE Hall of Famer made the case that pro wrestling rewards accumulated experience in ways most sports simply don’t.

    The Late-Peak Theory

Michaels, 60, compared the trajectory of a pro wrestler to elite NFL quarterbacks, arguing that physical tools matter far less than timing, psychology, and the thousands of small decisions that only experience teaches.

“I feel like you’re really peaking at 40, to really know what it is you’re doing out there and to be able to put all of it together,” Michaels said. “I know from a sporting standpoint we want that to happen earlier, but a lot of times some of the best quarterbacks in the league are around 35 to 40 when they really understand and know the game and execute at a high level.”

The former Mr. WrestleMania said the progression is actually a cycle of false summits.

“At 25 you feel like, okay, I’m starting to get a handle on this stuff. And you reach 30 and you go, I didn’t have any idea. But now I’ve got a handle. And another five years go by,” he said. “You never stop learning in this stuff.”

    WrestleMania 42’s Senior Class

Michaels pointed directly at the 2026 main event lineup to make his point. Night 1 featured Cody Rhodes, 40, defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against 46-year-old Randy Orton. Night 2 saw 47-year-old CM Punk face Roman Reigns, 40, for the World Heavyweight Championship.

“If you look at the main events at WrestleMania this weekend, there are no spring chickens,” Michaels said. “Who’s the baby of the bunch? Cody. Cody is the youngest of the main eventers.”

The HBK then zoomed out even further on the industry’s relationship with age.

“Think about where we’ve gotten to, where 38 is old. What is 61? When should I be dead? I’m almost 61 and I don’t know.”

    Reps, Reps, Reps

Michaels closed the thought with a reminder that the path to the peak is paved with accumulated ring time, not raw physical talent.

“A lot of it comes with time and wisdom, and as always, reps, reps, reps,” he said.

Michaels turns 61 on July 22.

Rusev Suffers Head Injury in WrestleMania 42 Ladder Match

Rusev suffered a head injury during the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania 42 on April 19. CJ Perry confirmed the injury following the event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Perry revealed the extent of the damage during an appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring. She described seeing a large bump on Rusev’s head when she met him after the show.

    Rusev’s Post-Match Condition

“He has a huge bump on his head… I saw it… his bump was like this big,” Perry said on the show.

Despite the visible injury, Rusev downplayed the situation to his wife.

“I’m like, ‘Are you okay?’ He’s like, ‘I’m fine, I just grazed the ladder,’” Perry added.

She emphasized the physical reality of ladder matches and their toll on performers.

“He’s okay… as okay as you can be after a ladder match… their bodies have been through war,” Perry explained.

    WrestleMania 42 Ladder Match Results

Rusev competed against Penta, Rey Mysterio, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, and JD McDonagh in the six-man ladder match. Penta retained the Intercontinental Championship, which he had held since defeating Dominik Mysterio on the March 2 episode of Raw.

The match marked one of Rusev’s first major ladder matches on the WrestleMania stage. He had positioned himself as a dominant force heading into the event but left without the title.

Perry was not ringside for the match but has continued to support Rusev’s WWE run through media appearances. The Bulgarian Brute is now in recovery mode following the physically demanding bout.

  • Jade Cargill Wants Rematch After WrestleMania Title Loss

Jade Cargill Wants Rematch After WrestleMania Title Loss

Jade Cargill has her eyes on a rematch.

The former WWE Women’s Champion spoke with JC Fernandez of 8 News Now at Netflix’s Bodyslams, Beats & Brunch event, held Monday at LIV Beachclub at Fontainebleau Las Vegas ahead of Raw. Cargill did not try to spin the loss, telling Fernandez she plans to push for another shot at Rhea Ripley immediately.

“It’s okay, because I’m going to get my revenge and get that rematch,” Cargill said. “I think you need to call up Triple H and make that happen.”

Ripley defeated Cargill on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium, ending Cargill’s reign with the WWE Women’s Championship that dated back to November 2025. Ripley hit the Riptide for the pinfall after IYO SKY neutralized interference from Cargill’s allies Michin and B-Fab.

Jade Cargill Reflects on First WrestleMania Night 2 Appearance

The loss marked Cargill’s first WrestleMania appearance on Night 2. She said the Allegiant Stadium atmosphere was unlike anything she’d experienced, even with the crowd firmly against her.

“I’ve never been featured on Night Two. I’ve always been on Night One, so this is my first rodeo on Night Two. I think we did a stellar job. The energy at Allegiant Stadium was electric,” Cargill said. “The crowd was coming for me. They hated me. I love that for me. Keep hating me.”

She closed with a direct acknowledgment of the result.

“Okay, I didn’t deliver, but I’m going to get that rematch.”

  • Brie Bella Searching For “Stooge” Who Leaked Paige’s WWE Return

Brie Bella Searching For “Stooge” Who Leaked Paige’s WWE Return

Brie Bella isn’t happy about how Paige’s comeback got leaked before WrestleMania 42, and she’s making it clear someone backstage is to blame.

Before Paige returned at WrestleMania 42, replacing Nikki Bella and winning the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Brie, reports surfaced about her comeback and multi-year deal. But according to Brie, the bigger issue isn’t the return itself: it’s how the surprise got spoiled ahead of time.

Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show on April 21, 2026, Brie addressed the leak directly and made it clear she believes someone inside the circle tipped the information before it was meant to go public.

Brie Bella Vows to Find the Source

Brie set the tone by saying moments like Paige’s return are supposed to stay under wraps, especially when WWE is trying to create a surprise for fans.

“The Paige stuff got leaked from a stooge, and I will find out who saw it earlier in the week. I will say this.. you guys.. just let things be special and a secret. Who runs and tells people?” Brie said.

She didn’t stop there. Brie then took aim at the culture of breaking news around wrestling, suggesting that some people are more focused on clicks than protecting big moments.

    Criticism of Wrestling News Culture

“I’m talking about people who have run to TMZ and saw something they wanna break about someone’s personal life. It’s about clicks and impressions, so they wanna be breaking news. You didn’t break anything,” Brie stated.

Brie made it personal, saying the leak didn’t just ruin a surprise — it crossed a line in how private moments get handled. She closed with a warning, making it clear she plans to figure out exactly who let the information slip.

“I will say this: it’s actually sad. So, look at yourself in the mirror and think about what you will do next time. I’m gonna find that stooge, though.”

Paige’s return ended with a title win at WrestleMania, but backstage, the fallout from the leak has become its own story.

Between the surprise being spoiled and Brie calling it out publicly, the situation has drawn attention to how wrestling news gets reported and who has access to sensitive information before major events.

  • Fan Wants Apology After Hotel Incident with CM Punk

Fan Wants Apology After Hotel Incident with CM Punk

The fan who had his phone slapped away by CM Punk after WrestleMania 42 says he is not pursuing legal action. According to TMZ, the fan stated, “I want an apology, shake my hand. I’m not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.”

The incident occurred at the talent hotel following WrestleMania 42, where multiple reports indicated a lack of security allowed fans to swarm WWE stars. Video footage showed Punk confronting the fan after he continued recording despite being told to leave.

    What Led to the Confrontation

The fan had been pestering Bayley and AJ Lee before Punk intervened. Despite being asked to stop recording, the individual continued filming before Punk stepped in and slapped the phone from his hand.

According to PWInsider, a witness staying at the hotel reported that “not only were Punk and others being surrounded by fans trying to get photos while Bayley and AJ Lee were speaking, but just minutes before this happened, WWE’s Damian Priest had to step in to help a female WWE talent get away from a similar group of fans trying to surround her for photos and autographs.”

    Security Issues at Talent Hotel

The incident was one of several security failures at the WrestleMania 42 talent hotel. Multiple WWE stars were reportedly swarmed by fans, with Damian Priest also having to intervene to help another female talent escape a similar situation. PWInsider noted there were “lots of other instances of similar occurrences” throughout the weekend.

WWE NXT Match Card for April 21, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Blake Monroe (NXT Women’s North American Championship Casket Match)

Paxley chose the casket stipulation after GM Robert Stone granted Monroe the title shot on last week’s show. The match serves as the payoff to Monroe’s Vanity Project alliance, which has dominated Paxley’s storyline since the faction aligned against her earlier this year.

Myles Borne (c) vs. Dion Lennox (NXT North American Championship)

Borne makes his first defense since taking the title from Johnny Gargano at Stand & Deliver. Lennox represents DarkState, which has been positioning around the midcard title picture for weeks.

Lexis King vs. EK Prosper (WWE Speed Championship Tournament Final)

The tournament to crown a new WWE Speed Champion wraps tonight. King advanced two weeks ago with a win over Chazz “Starboy” Hall, while Prosper punched his ticket last Tuesday by defeating Dorian Van Dux in the semifinal. The title was vacated after Elio LeFleur suffered a shoulder injury at a house show.

Sol Ruca vs. Zaria (Last Woman Standing Match)

The rivalry between Ruca and Zaria has been building for months and boiled over at Stand & Deliver, where the two had a grudge match without a definitive ending to the larger story. Tonight is designed as the final stop, with a 10-count needed for the decision.

    Keanu Carver vs. Joe Hendry

Carver interrupted Hendry’s concert segment last week and overpowered the former NXT Champion in the ensuing brawl, spearing security through the barricade. Hendry’s path after losing the NXT Title at Stand & Deliver now runs through Carver, who has been positioned as one of NXT’s top power players since his heel turn.

Road to WWE NXT’s Next Premium Live Event

With Stand & Deliver and NXT Revenge both in the rearview, tonight’s results will begin shaping the next major stop on the NXT calendar. Three championship matches wrapping on the same night means at least one title picture gets fully reset coming out of the show, and the Speed Championship will have a new full-time holder for the first time since LeFleur’s injury.

  • Mark Shapiro: TKO Controls WWE Creative, Celeb Turnoff Worth It

Mark Shapiro: TKO Controls WWE Creative, Celeb Turnoff Worth It

TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro told a University of Alabama class that TKO has “complete control” over WWE creative, confirming on the record the chain of command that fans have spent weeks speculating about following WrestleMania 42.

Audio of Shapiro’s Q&A with roughly 15 students, recorded by Reddit user South-Persimmon-5342 and circulated on X by Blake Avignon over the weekend, has spread rapidly across wrestling media. The session took place on the campus in Tuscaloosa the same weekend WWE ran WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.

Shapiro puts TKO’s name on every creative decision

Triple H Interview with Stephanie McMahon
Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer (WWE, Fanatics)

Asked directly about the volume of celebrity involvement in WWE programming, including Pat McAfee, Jelly Roll, Logan Paul, and IShowSpeed, Shapiro did not deflect to Paul “Triple H” Levesque or the WWE creative team.

“First of all, it has complete control, so we’re responsible, good or bad, fact or fiction,” Shapiro said of TKO’s relationship with WWE.

The admission lands with unusual weight given the week it follows. PWInsider reported days before WrestleMania 42 that the McAfee main-event angle with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes was not the original plan.

The pitch WWE creative developed in January had Aleister Black in that role, tormenting Orton into unleashing the Apex Predator ahead of a WrestleMania weekend match between the two.

Black ended up working the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown. McAfee got the main-event spot.

Celebrity push framed as deliberate growth

    Pat McAfee on WWE SmackDown
    WWE

Shapiro defended the celebrity pivot as intentional, pointing to Logan Paul, McAfee, Mark Wahlberg, and NBA stars Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson as evidence the approach is working.

“Having Hollywood tie-ins and celebs and stars, and Logan Paul, Pat McAfee, Mark Wahlberg shows up and does his thing, Tyrese Haliburton last year got in a fight in the ring with Jalen Brunson of the Knicks, that’s not new, it’s just on a larger stage,” Shapiro said.

He pointed to WWE’s recent growth metrics: Raw tripling its audience since moving to Netflix, SmackDown continuing on USA Network, NXT on The CW reaching 100 million homes, and premium live events shifting to ESPN’s streaming ecosystem.

    An explicit trade-off

What separates Shapiro’s comments from the usual corporate talking points is his willingness to state the cost out loud. He acknowledged that aggressive marketing and platform fragmentation will push some fans out.

“We’re spending a lot more money to market the brand and market the content,” Shapiro said. “And when you do that, you’re gonna win some folks over, but you’re also gonna chase some folks away. They don’t like this or they don’t like that. This is too expensive.”

Shapiro then compared WWE’s distribution to Major League Baseball, noting he had just read that watching a full New York Yankees season across the playoffs now requires around 10 platforms at a combined cost of roughly $1,000. His framing: that is the modern entertainment economy, and WWE is not going to fight it.

    ESPN deal raises the stakes

The fragmentation point is about to get sharper. WWE’s premium live events move to ESPN’s streaming service in 2026 under a reported five-year deal valued around $1.6 billion, with WrestleMania 42 serving as the transition point.

For a fan who wants Raw on Netflix, SmackDown on USA, NXT on The CW, and all PLEs on ESPN, the annual subscription stack can easily exceed $1,000, the exact scenario Shapiro acknowledged will drive some viewers away.

His message to the hardcore base, stripped of the diplomatic phrasing: TKO has done the math, knows what it is losing, and has decided the mainstream growth is worth more than the fans it leaves behind.

  • Sol Ruca Reveals Surprise WWE Raw Debut Was Last-Minute Call

Sol Ruca Reveals Surprise WWE Raw Debut Was Last-Minute Call

Sol Ruca revealed she had no idea she was going to appear on WWE Raw this week. The last-minute booking came as a complete surprise during her Las Vegas trip for WrestleMania 42 week.

Speaking after her Raw debut on April 20, Ruca said she initially traveled to Vegas for World matches and media obligations. A few days in, plans changed entirely.

“It feels absolutely incredible. This is not what I was expecting at all. I came here to do World matches, some media stuff, and then a few days in they were like, ‘Actually, you’re gonna be on Raw,’” Ruca said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, okay, cool, good thing I brought extra clothes and gear and stuff.’”

Even once she was booked, Ruca said she assumed it would be a limited role until she arrived at the arena.

“Honestly I thought it was gonna be a crowd shot or a backstage or what have you. And getting here they were like, ‘Promo, match, interviews, all that.’ And I’m like, ‘Alright, this is it, this is my time to make my moment and prove myself.’”

Ruca Sees Raw Spot as a Vote of Confidence

Ruca was thrown in against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan on the Raw after WrestleMania, interrupting Morgan’s celebration promo before Raw GM Adam Pearce made the non-title match official. Ruca put on a strong performance before Zaria interfered and allowed Morgan to finish the match with Oblivion.

Despite the loss, Ruca said the booking itself sent a message.

“Especially being in the ring with Liv Morgan who just came off of a huge win at WrestleMania, and her mic work, her ring work is so incredible, and to be put in that position, it honestly gave me a confidence boost, like, ‘Yeah, clearly they know that I can do this and I’m here for a reason.’”

The crowd was firmly behind Ruca throughout the match, chanting her name as she hit a series of high-flying sequences including a Sol Snatcher on the champion. Ruca also took out Judgment Day members Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez at ringside before Zaria’s interference turned the tide.

  • Paul Heyman Calls Out TMZ Over Brock Lesnar Retirement Story

Paul Heyman Calls Out TMZ Over Brock Lesnar Retirement Story

Paul Heyman wants the record straight.

The WWE Special Counsel took to X on Monday to publicly correct TMZ Sports over a clip that has been ricocheting around the wrestling internet since Monday morning.

The video shows Heyman flatly denying that Brock Lesnar is retired and predicting another 15 years of dominance, and it dropped the day after Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the ring at WrestleMania 42 Night 2.

The catch: the interview took place before WrestleMania, when Lesnar seemingly said farewell to WWE in emotional fashion. The video’s description made note that the interview was from “this week” but the ambiguity caused confusion.

    Heyman’s Statement

“I want to congratulate @TMZ for the magnificent exclusive news regarding my comments on @BrockLesnar’s retirement. Unfortunately, what’s left out of their globally trending exclusive report is that the video was shot in NYC after my @fox5ny appearance two weeks ago…

    Context is EVERYTHING!

P.S. @HarveyLevinTMZ, I still love you and all other members of the Mark Itkin crew.”

    Why It Matters

The TMZ Sports clip went up Monday morning with a description noting it was filmed “earlier this week in NYC.” It quickly hit Fightful, Ringside News, SPORTbible, and dozens of aggregators who framed Heyman’s “15 more years” line as a direct response to Sunday’s events.

Heyman’s clarification reframes the whole story. The interview was conducted before Lesnar’s loss to Oba Femi. It is not a denial of what happened at Allegiant Stadium, and it is not Heyman staying in character about something that had already played out on camera. It is a two-week-old soundbite that picked up jet fuel because the timing fit a narrative.

    What Actually Happened Sunday

Lesnar lost to Oba Femi in the opener of Night 2 in four minutes and 42 seconds. He sat in the middle of the ring, removed his gloves and boots, embraced Heyman, and walked up the ramp to “Thank you, Brock” chants. Triple H later told ESPN’s SportsCenter the moment “certainly seemed that way” and confirmed there was no backstage conversation with Lesnar after the match.

WWE has not officially announced a retirement.

For now, the only fresh on-record comment from Heyman about Lesnar’s WrestleMania 42 finale is the X post above, which is itself less of a comment about Lesnar’s future and more of a complaint about how a two-week-old interview was packaged.

What do you make of Heyman’s pushback? Drop your take in the comments.
