WWE SmackDown Tonight (4/10/26): Start Time, Card & How to Watch

WWE SmackDown airs tonight (Friday, April 10, 2026) from the SAP Center in San Jose, California, live on the USA Network starting at 8 PM ET.

This is the second-to-last SmackDown before WrestleMania 42, and the SAP Center is the last stop before the show heads to Las Vegas for the go-home edition on April 17. Cody Rhodes is in the building with a response locked and loaded after Randy Orton and Pat McAfee left him laid out last week in St. Louis. With eight days until Allegiant Stadium, tonight’s episode carries weight. Here’s everything you need to know including start time, how to watch, and the full card.

How to Watch WWE SmackDown Tonight

    Date Friday, April 10, 2026
Venue SAP Center, San Jose, California
    Channel/Stream USA Network
US Start Time 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT / 5 PM PT
UK Start Time 1 AM GMT (Saturday)
India Start Time 6:30 AM IST (Saturday)
    Duration 2 hours

WWE SmackDown Match Card for April 10, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

Cody Rhodes Responds to Randy Orton and Pat McAfee’s Assault

A week ago in St. Louis, Orton’s hometown, McAfee returned to WWE not as a commentator but as an active participant, helping Orton lay out the WWE Champion. Rhodes didn’t wait long to fire back verbally, cutting a live promo on McAfee almost immediately after it happened, but tonight he gets to address it face-to-face with both men in the building.

McAfee has spent the week on his show and social media insisting Orton has been sent by the gods of wrestling to save the business, and he’s teasing a major surprise for tonight. With WrestleMania 42 eight days out, this is the last San Jose shot before Las Vegas. Don’t expect this one to stay verbal for long.

Drew McIntyre Promises to Expose the Real Jacob Fatu

McIntyre has vowed to pull back the curtain on Fatu ahead of their Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania 42. These two have been unable to occupy the same arena without erupting into violence all build, so whatever McIntyre has planned is likely to end with both men brawling through the crowd again. The Unsanctioned stipulation removes the guardrails entirely, and tonight is the last real chance to sell that match to the SAP Center crowd before the lights go on in Las Vegas.

Sami Zayn Looks for Payback on Trick Williams

Zayn successfully defended the Men’s United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes last week, only to get blindsided by Trick Williams — with rapper Lil Yachty serving as the distraction. Zayn and Williams are headed for a WrestleMania 42 title match, and Zayn’s going to want to even the score before they get there. Expect this one to have some heat.

Royce Keys Makes His SmackDown Debut

Keys, formerly Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW, entered the Royal Rumble back in January but hasn’t appeared on WWE television since. Tonight he gets his official SmackDown introduction, and the timing is notable: the show is in San Jose, roughly a half hour from his hometown of East Palo Alto, California. WWE released an introductory video Thursday with Keys saying he refuses to be defined by where he’s from. His role on tonight’s show hasn’t been specified beyond the debut itself.

Women’s Division: Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and More Advertised

WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Michin, and B-Fab are all advertised for San Jose. No match has been officially announced, but with WrestleMania looming, don’t be surprised if something gets made official tonight.

    Road to WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42 takes place Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tonight is the final SmackDown before the WrestleMania go-home show, which means every segment carries finality. The WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, now with McAfee officially in the picture, is the storyline to watch. Whatever happens in San Jose sets the tone for next week’s last push.

  • MJF Blasts TNA’s Carlos Silva: “What He Is Doing Is Disgusting”

MJF Blasts TNA’s Carlos Silva: “What He Is Doing Is Disgusting”

AEW World Champion MJF escalated his war of words with TNA President Carlos Silva on Busted Open Radio, calling the executive’s decision to block TNA talent from competing against AEW wrestlers on the independent circuit “disgusting.”

“Let’s talk about TNA and the fact that they are pulling young talent off of shows when they’re barely paying them any money whatso-f*cking-ever and telling them, ‘Hey, you can’t wrestle because there is a guy from another promotion that is wrestling on this show,’” MJF said. “Does that help young talent grow? Does that help young talent become better inside the squared circle?”

“Moreover, does that help young talent put food on their plate and on their table so they can eat? What Carlos Silva is doing is disgusting and if anybody supports him or that company at this point, it is very hard for me to wrap my head around.”

The remarks come one day after TNA’s new policy torpedoed several high-profile indie bookings, including MJF vs. Nic Nemeth at Create-A-Pro’s Monumental Moment show on May 1 and Ricochet vs. Leon Slater at WrestleCon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on April 16. Per Fightful Select, TNA also blocked a planned MJF vs. Bear Bronson match for GCW in March.

Silva confirmed the pullbacks to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, citing “partner conflicts,” an apparent reference to TNA’s ongoing partnership with WWE. Per PWInsider, TNA’s concern was that its wrestlers could look bad by losing to talent from outside companies on uncontrolled events. Sources close to the situation told Fightful the move appears to be trending toward a full ban on TNA talent facing AEW wrestlers anywhere.

MJF had already taken to social media ahead of Busted Open, calling Silva “actively a dumb motherf***er” and noting that TNA pays its talent “sh*t” while simultaneously cutting off their independent income.

  • Royce Keys SmackDown Debut Announced

    Royce Keys SmackDown Debut Announced

Royce Keys will make his official SmackDown debut on April 10 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. WWE announced the debut on social media with a video package chronicling his journey from East Palo Alto to the global stage.

The promotion posted the announcement on X/Twitter, featuring Keys’ quote: “I refuse to be defined by where I’m from, but instead by where I’m going.” The video highlighted how his background shaped him into the performer he is today.

Royal Rumble Appearance and Dark Match Run

Keys made his WWE debut in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match after leaving AEW. He entered as the 14th participant and eliminated Damian Priest before Bronson Reed threw him over the top rope after 9:55 minutes.

WWE did not immediately place him on weekly television following the Rumble. Instead, he competed in several dark matches to adjust to the company’s production style, according to reports.

    SmackDown Lineup for April 10

Tomorrow’s SmackDown will also feature Cody Rhodes addressing Randy Orton and Pat McAfee. Drew McIntyre will attempt to expose Jacob Fatu, while Sami Zayn looks to retaliate against Trick Williams for last week’s attack.

“At ESPN, we believe sports fandom is forever,” said Jo Fox, Senior Vice President of Marketing at ESPN. “For our first WrestleMania on the ESPN App, we wanted to give couples bound by their shared love of WWE and ready to say ‘I do’ a way to begin their next forever chapter by fully embracing everything they love together.”

WWE Superstar The Miz will lead each ceremony.

“WrestleMania is known for delivering moments that last a lifetime,” Miz said. “For the first time ever, fans can make their love story part of the spectacle as we celebrate the first-ever WrestleMania as part of the ESPN family.”

  • MJF Distances AEW from Politically “Right-Leaning” WWE

MJF Distances AEW from Politically “Right-Leaning” WWE

AEW World Champion MJF drew a pointed contrast between the two major wrestling promotions on a recent episode of The Adam Friedland Show, defending the viral “F*** ICE” chant that broke out during his AEW Dynamite match and suggesting WWE has made a political choice he says AEW has not.

“We had a ‘Fuck ICE’ chant,” MJF said. “What’s so cool about that is, in our company, our fans have a voice. And in the other company, a lot of times, when fans curse or when they say something that they don’t want them to say, they just bleep it. They bleep the crowd entirely and they edit it out of the show or they’ll create fake crowd noise of it so you can’t hear the chants.”

MJF then addressed WWE’s political alignment directly:

“I’ll also say, they’ve made a choice to be a little bit more right-leaning. Triple H has done a couple of speeches in the White House. Linda McMahon is in the cabinet. We are not affiliated to any party so anybody can feel comfortable going to our shows.”

The Chant That Started It All

The “F*** ICE” moment occurred on the February 5 episode of AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, during a World Title Eliminator main event between MJF and Brody King. The crowd erupted with the anti-ICE chant just before the opening bell, with the moment going viral and drawing widespread mainstream coverage.

King had been vocal about his opposition to ICE and the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies, and had partnered with Headlocked Comics on a fundraising effort that raised nearly $59,000 for the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee prior to the show.

    WWE’s Political Ties

MJF’s remarks are rooted in documented connections. Triple H currently serves as vice chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, while Linda McMahon holds a Cabinet position as U.S. Secretary of Education in the Trump administration.

AEW president Tony Khan has publicly stated that he supports his wrestlers expressing themselves, though the company itself has avoided officially aligning with any political party.

MJF makes his next title defense at AEW Dynasty this Sunday against Kenny Omega. He recently spoke about what keeps him in AEW, saying there is “no leash” on him creatively and that he has full freedom to be himself.

  • Nic Nemeth “Crushed” over MJF Match Cancellation

Nic Nemeth “Crushed” over MJF Match Cancellation

Nic Nemeth says he is “crushed” after TNA President Carlos Silva pulled him from his scheduled match against MJF at Create-A-Pro Wrestling’s Monumental Moment event on May 1. Nemeth addressed the cancellation Thursday morning on Busted Open Radio.

“I was really looking forward to this. I was really, really excited,” Nemeth said. “As of yesterday, as I was flying in, I found out, because of certain partnerships and brands, TNA President Carlos Silva had to make a difficult decision and protect a couple of brands down the line and things that are actually contractually obligated to happen.”

Nemeth acknowledged the constraints that led to Silva’s call, saying he understands that certain partnership agreements limit what talent can do independently.

“Can’t just kind of do whatever we want,” he said. “Even though I think some things were approved at a different time, when it became the situation that it is now with a couple of different things happening at once, I feel like… I’m crushed. I’m bummed out.”

Both Stars Still Appearing at Create-A-Pro on May 1

Despite the match being scrapped, both Nemeth and MJF will still appear at the Melville, New York event. Nemeth will instead face fellow TNA star Bear Bronson, while MJF will issue an open challenge. Refunds will be available for fans who purchased tickets specifically for the originally announced bout.

“I’m going to wrestle Bear Bronson for the first time ever,” Nemeth said. “I hate that it had to come out this way. I hate that this wasn’t all taken care of in the past. But that’s something we can all work on.”

TNA’s decision also affected a second match. Ricochet vs. Leon Slater, set for WrestleCon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on April 16 during WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas, was also pulled after Slater was withdrawn from the card.

Nemeth Hopes to Revisit the Match

Despite the disappointment, Nemeth left the door open for the matchup to happen down the road.

“I’m going to try and make this match happen one day, and hopefully soon,” he said. “But at the moment, it is currently not happening.”

Silva cited “partner conflicts” as the reason for withdrawing TNA talent from the affected bookings. MJF took a sharply different tone in response, blasting Silva on social media and calling the TNA President’s decision a disservice to the roster.

  • Logan Paul Praises Vince McMahon, Proud to Be His Final WWE Signee

Logan Paul Praises Vince McMahon, Proud to Be His Final WWE Signee

Logan Paul has opened up about his admiration for Vince McMahon, revealing what the former WWE Chairman’s vision taught him about the entertainment business.

Speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? podcast, Paul reflected on his unique place in WWE history as the last superstar personally signed by Vince McMahon before the latter’s departure from the company.

“That’s the brilliance of Vince McMahon and we’ve seen that over the years,” Paul said. “You have this ability to adapt. Even if you aren’t entirely sure what’s going on, you rely on people who are experts in a craft. And the WWE and Vince trusted me. I was the last person Vince ever signed, which I thought was really cool.”

Paul credited the experience with shaping his own outlook on business and entertainment.

“You know what I learned from that, and your dad just in general? It’s all about the show. It’s all about the product. He built something that he would have died for. Like, actually. It was all about entertaining people. I have so much respect for that,” Paul said.

    Logan Paul at WrestleMania 42

The comments carry added weight with WrestleMania 42 just days away. Paul has been at the center of a storyline teasing Vince McMahon’s return, with Paul Heyman cryptically hinting at a powerful figure backing The Vision.

Paul teams with Austin Theory and IShowSpeed to face The Usos and LA Knight on Night One of WrestleMania 42, live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18-19.

  • CM Punk: My Best Match Ever Was Against John Cena on Raw in 2013

CM Punk: My Best Match Ever Was Against John Cena on Raw in 2013

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk sat down with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant on WWE Now ahead of WrestleMania 42 and delivered a series of candid takes on his career, his legacy, and his WrestleMania opponent Roman Reigns.

Punk Names His All-Time Best Match

With his career now immortalized as the focus of the WWE 2K26 Showcase mode, Punk was asked to pick his personal favorite from a catalog of marquee bouts. His answer bypassed the obvious choices.

Punk pointed to his February 25, 2013 No. 1 Contender’s match against John Cena on Raw, calling it a pure contest above everything else he has done.

“I think just as a pure contest… I think that match means a whole lot more to me. I think it’s the best match I’ve ever had,” Punk said.

The match is one of several historical encounters included in the WWE 2K26 CM Punk Showcase, which spans more than two decades of his career and also features fantasy matchups against Stone Cold Steve Austin and Eddie Guerrero.

Punk on Still Standing Alongside Rey Mysterio

Punk also reflected on the fact that he and Rey Mysterio, who faced each other at Armageddon 2008, are still active and competing alongside one another in 2026.

“It really just kind of shows like the staying power. I look at him as one of the greats. So if I’m still side by side with him… those are the moments that make everything looking back at it kind of mind-blowing,” he said.

Punk Flips the Script on Roman Reigns

When the conversation turned to Reigns and their heated rivalry heading into WrestleMania 42, Punk was dismissive of his challenger’s grievances and turned the argument back on him entirely.

“For everything he says he’s mad about and he hates me. Well, then well, why’d you let me back in, man? You did it to your damn self,” Punk said.

Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns in the Night 2 main event of WrestleMania 42 on April 19, 2026 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

  • Je’Von Evans Reacts to Pat McAfee Slamming Modern Wrestling

Je’Von Evans Reacts to Pat McAfee Slamming Modern Wrestling

Je’Von Evans has weighed in on Pat McAfee’s recent comments criticizing today’s WWE roster, offering a pointed response to the former commentator’s heel turn rhetoric.

McAfee made a surprise return at the April 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, aligning with Randy Orton as a heel in the build to their WrestleMania 42 title match against Cody Rhodes.

During the segment, McAfee criticized the current product, dismissing today’s talent as soft performers doing acrobatics while positioning Orton’s generation as the legitimate tough guys of the business.

Evans was asked about McAfee’s remarks during his appearance on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, and didn’t hold back.

“I feel like there’s just certain things that people that are not familiar or don’t come from the wrestling business don’t understand. And they tend to express that in a certain way. I feel like wrestling isn’t like a regular sport. We take this very serious because our bodies and lives are on the line. There’s legacy behind all this. People feed their families because of this.”

Evans continued, acknowledging that opinions are inevitable, but drew a clear line.

“So I feel like there are things that some people do say or have an opinion on, and they tend to express that in a certain way, or just publicly. But bro, why can’t we just have fun? Why can’t we just have fun, make money? It’s a selfish business out here. You’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do. But also, you can’t be talking crazy and expect nobody else to talk crazy back. You cannot not expect receipts. Especially from the OGs that’s been doing it for a long time, that’s been through a lot to get to where they’re at. And now you’re dissing them.”

Evans also acknowledged the wider back-and-forth that McAfee’s return has sparked, referencing CM Punk’s public jab at McAfee on Raw.

“Hey, Punk was talking. Said what he had to say, but it’s the road to WrestleMania, so we good either way.”

McAfee’s insertion into the Rhodes vs. Orton storyline has drawn a mixed reaction from both fans and talent, with reports indicating some within WWE were frustrated by the decision. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

  • Danhausen Called Out for WrestleMania 42 Match

Danhausen Called Out for WrestleMania 42 Match

Kit Wilson wants to settle things with Danhausen on the grandest stage of them all.

In an interview on Complex Graps Wrestling, Wilson called out Danhausen for a 2-on-1 handicap match at WrestleMania 42, proposing that he and The Miz team up against the Very Nice, Very Evil one on Night 2 in Las Vegas.

The challenge stems from weeks of tension between the three. Danhausen cursed Wilson on SmackDown, and the feud escalated when Danhausen interfered in Wilson and The Miz’s tag title shot against Damian Priest and R-Truth, ultimately costing the challengers the match. The following week, Danhausen offered to lift the curse, but only if The Miz agreed to take him on as a mentee.

Wilson made clear on the podcast that he believes he and The Miz were robbed. Per Wilson, the match remains unfinished business, and he wants the handicap stipulation to even the odds against someone whose curse apparently bends the laws of physics.

No match has been officially announced as of this writing. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

  • La Catalina Leaving CMLL, Reportedly Signing With AAA

La Catalina Leaving CMLL, Reportedly Signing With AAA

La Catalina is reportedly on her way to AAA, with her debut set for this Saturday, April 11, according to a report from Luchablog.

CMLL officially confirmed her departure on April 7, noting that her contract expired on April 1 and was not renewed at her own request. The promotion issued a formal statement wishing her success and indicated no further comment would be made.

Should the move be confirmed, La Catalina would become the first talent to transfer from CMLL to AAA since WWE acquired the latter on April 19, 2025.

The two promotions have historically operated as rivals, making crossover signings a rarity even before the WWE purchase added another layer of complexity.

Catalina had previously been featured prominently in CMLL, battling Mercedes Mone at last year’s Fantastica Mania. Her positioning has been less-prominent since then, which likely impacted her satisfaction.

The Chilean wrestler, whose real name is Catalina Aurora García Corrial, previously competed in WWE under the name Katrina Cortez before departing in 2021.

She joined CMLL in March 2023 and went on to win the CMLL Universal Amazons Championship. She also made multiple appearances for Ring of Honor in 2025 as part of CMLL’s working relationship with AEW.

Her final CMLL match took place March 31 at Arena Coliseo.

A spot in AAA, now operating under WWE’s umbrella, could significantly raise her profile heading into a pivotal stretch for the promotion.

Shotzi Teases MLW Fusion Broadcast Details Coming Soon

Shotzi says fans won’t be waiting much longer to find out where and when MLW Fusion will return to television. The former WWE star teased that Major League Wrestling will announce broadcast details for its flagship show soon.

Speaking with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard ahead of her appearance at MLW’s Fantastica Mania event on April 12, Shotzi addressed the status of Fusion. The promotion has been taping content for the show’s return but has not yet revealed its broadcast home.

“Trust me, it’s killing me that [the broadcast details are] not out yet. But I can tell you that it will be soon. You guys won’t be waiting long,” Shotzi said.

    Why Shotzi Signed With MLW

Shotzi signed with MLW last month after spending ten months touring the independent scene following her WWE departure. She explained that creative freedom and the ability to continue working other promotions made the decision easy.

“I told myself that I wouldn’t sign anywhere for like the next year or two. I definitely needed a year or two to find my footing and just have a good time and just have that freedom and that creativity,” she said. “I’d already committed to so many dates with MLW and I have so much fun there, I get my TV fix there. The storylines that I’m doing at MLW are just fulfilling me creatively.”

She continued: “They really value my input and they really understand my character, so it was just like a no-brainer to me. I just didn’t want to go back into that same situation where I sign somewhere and then I’m stuck in catering and I’m not able to wrestle, have fun, and be creative. But with MLW, I have all of that, and I’m still able to go to Japan or Mexico, wrestle for all these other companies, and do me.”

    Shotzi Praises MLW Creative Direction

The wrestler expressed excitement about what MLW has planned for Fusion once it returns to television. She praised the promotion’s creative approach as distinct from other wrestling companies.

“Just seeing what we have in store for Fusion, I’m really excited about because it’s nothing like what’s happening in any other wrestling company. The creative at MLW is unlike any other. I’m excited for everyone to see it once it finally airs,” Shotzi said.

MLW has already hosted several live events that served as Fusion TV tapings. Shotzi will compete at MLW’s Fantastica Mania event on April 12.

Kyle Fletcher Injured, TNT Championship Vacated; Casino Gauntlet Set for AEW Dynasty

Tony Khan announced on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite that Kyle Fletcher is expected to miss several months of action due to a meniscus injury, along with additional undisclosed injuries sustained during the March 28 episode of AEW Collision.

As a result, the TNT Championship has been vacated. A Casino Gauntlet match will take place at AEW Dynasty on April 12 in Vancouver to crown a new champion.

Per Fightful Select, Fletcher’s meniscus injury alone would sideline him for quite some time, with the additional injuries expected to extend his recovery further. He had held the TNT Championship for 54 days, winning the title for the second time on the February 11 edition of Dynamite. Marq Quen is also out long-term with a separate injury.

Ciampa vs. Mascara Dorada to Determine First Entrant

To set the Casino Gauntlet field, Tommaso Ciampa will face Mascara Dorada later on tonight’s Dynamite. The winner earns the first entry spot in the match at AEW Dynasty on April 12 in Vancouver.

  • Triple H Opens Up About Frustration Working With WWE Talent

Triple H Opens Up About Frustration Working With WWE Talent

Triple H has shared a candid frustration he experiences when working with WWE talent, revealing it stems not from personal annoyance but from concern for the performers themselves.

Speaking on the What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast with Cody Rhodes, the WWE Chief Content Officer opened up about watching talent fixate on minor issues at the expense of enjoying where they are in their careers. The episode dropped on April 8, 2026.

Triple H on Talent Getting Lost in the Minutiae

“Sometimes it’s frustration of being able to have the perspective of looking back over a long career and so many people’s careers, and then wanting to say to a talent, ‘Dude, this is meaningless,’” Triple H said. “You are arguing and wearing yourself out mentally and emotionally over this point that is meaningless. Literally by next Monday’s show, no one is going to think about this again.”

He pointed to an old locker room saying as the lens he applies to these situations.

“There used to be a saying here, pick the hill you want to die on, this ain’t it,” he said. “If you’re going to die on that hill, it’s got to be worth it.”

    The Bigger Picture

Triple H stressed that his concern is not about discouraging ambition, but about perspective. He acknowledged the rare position WWE’s top talents occupy while urging them not to lose sight of it.

“There’s so many talents where I go ‘Dude, you have so much going on. You’re in a position where a small handful of people on the planet are in that spot, and millions behind you would cut off a limb to have that, and you’re miserable every day because you’re not considered the next guy?’”

He was careful to distinguish between healthy drive and counterproductive fixation.

“That’s not me saying you shouldn’t be ambitious to want to get to the next level,” Triple H added. “Yeah, always strive for more, I’ll never tell a talent ‘You’re never going to get past the point you’re at’, ever, because I don’t know.”

He closed with a reflection on the value of the journey itself. “The journey along the way is more meaningful than the moment that you get.”

The podcast episode also touched on Triple H’s reaction to Cody Rhodes’ infamous AEW throne smash and his tense behind-the-scenes texts with Nick Khan over Vince McMahon’s creative involvement.

  • Charlotte Flair Addresses Backlash Over WWE Dominance

Charlotte Flair Addresses Backlash Over WWE Dominance

Charlotte Flair addressed the criticism surrounding her sustained success in WWE during an April 8, 2026 appearance on Busted Open Radio. The multi-time champion acknowledged what host Dave LaGreca called “greatness hate” and explained why she believes fans react negatively to her dominance.

Flair compared herself to perennial championship teams across sports, drawing parallels to explain the backlash. “You don’t want the Patriots to win every year. You don’t want the Yankees to win every year. You don’t want Alabama to win every year,” she said.

Flair Opens Up About Never Being the Underdog

The conversation turned personal as Flair reflected on the frustration of trying to justify her position at the top of the division. “I’ve never been an underdog. Not that I’m an underdog right now, but I think it was more—I lost parts of… okay, I couldn’t understand why—’Hey guys, do you know what it takes to be on top this long?’ And how serious the title means—what do you mean that’s not enough?” she explained.

Flair suggested she’s evolved over the past year and hinted at a shift in her approach. She promised fans will see a different side of her moving forward.

    New Layers to Charlotte’s Character

“Understanding this past year, you don’t have to always be perfect to be in that spot, but there are layers I have added to Charlotte where, when you see that switch again, I think people are going to appreciate it more—like, ‘Holy s***, I forgot—that’s that intense,’” Flair stated.

The comments came after Flair recently declared she has the strongest résumé in WWE’s women’s division. Rather than backing away from that claim, she’s now acknowledging the perception that comes with it and using it to fuel her next chapter.

    Match Previews

TNA World Championship: Mike Santana (c) vs. Eddie Edwards

Santana has held the TNA World Championship for over two months after winning the belt at the AMC premiere of Thursday Night iMPACT on January 15 by defeating Frankie Kazarian. The Realest has been a fighting champion through his second reign, but Rebellion brings a different kind of challenge: a former ally turned adversary cashing in a guaranteed contract.

Edwards won his Feast or Fired briefcase on the January 29 episode of iMPACT and had been waiting for the right moment. That moment arrived at Sacrifice in the messiest possible way. Santana’s scheduled title defense against Steve Maclin ended prematurely after a Superkick legitimately knocked Maclin out 31 seconds in. Edwards seized the chaos, ran down to attack Santana, and the two brawled until Santana put him through a table with a frog splash. TNA made it official March 30: Edwards cashes in at Rebellion.

The match shapes up as two TNA veterans who know each other well. Both made the jump from tag teams to singles careers at different points, and Santana has acknowledged the symmetry. The System will almost certainly have a presence at ringside, which was a factor Santana navigated successfully earlier in his run. Two-time champion Edwards goes into this as the challenger with everything to prove, while Santana is hungry enough to match him.

TNA Knockouts World Championship: Arianna Grace (c) vs. Lei Ying Lee

Grace defended the Knockouts title against Xia Brookside in the April 2 iMPACT main event, the first women’s main event in the AMC era, and won. That same night, TNA Director of Operations Daria Rae announced Lee as the next challenger for Rebellion. Grace has been built as the polished, imperious heel champion, and Lee brings a physical, hard-hitting contrast heading into Cleveland.

TNA X Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Cedric Alexander

Alexander won a six-man number one contender’s match on the December 11 iMPACT to earn this shot, originally scheduled for Genesis. Visa issues kept Slater from traveling to the United States at the time, pushing the match to Rebellion.

Slater has quietly put together one of the longer X Division title reigns in TNA history, surpassing Moose for the second-longest ever. Alexander has been patient waiting for his opportunity and goes in confident this is his night.

TNA International Championship: Trey Miguel (c) vs. Mustafa Ali

Ali and his Order 4 faction crossed a line at Sacrifice, zip-tying Miguel to the bottom rope during an intergender tag match to cost him the win. That interference also set up Ali’s title shot, announced by TNA that same night. Miguel defends with a legitimate grievance, which rarely makes a champion easier to deal with. Ali, backed by the full Order 4 contingent including Tasha Steelz, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler, will look to use numbers to his advantage again.

TNA World Tag Team Championship: The Hardys (c) vs. The System (Brian Myers & Bear Bronson)

Myers and Bronson won a four-way match on the March 5 iMPACT to earn this shot, then TNA confirmed the match officially at Sacrifice. The Hardys have also been booked in a tables match against The Righteous on iMPACT with the titles on the line, meaning the champions heading into Rebellion could change depending on that result.

If Matt and Jeff survive that hurdle, they face a System team that is part of a faction with designs on the entire TNA title picture Saturday night.

Hardcore Country Six-Woman Tag: The Elegance Brand vs. Mickie James, ODB & Taryn Terrell

Santino Marella made this one official after an Elegance Brand confrontation with TNA’s legendary trio at Sacrifice. No disqualifications, anything goes, and three Hall of Fame-caliber names in James, ODB, and Terrell against the polished Elegance unit in a match designed to get physical in a hurry.

    Nic Nemeth vs. AJ Francis

Nemeth was found unconscious backstage the night of Sacrifice and issued an open challenge to whoever attacked him. On April 2 iMPACT, Francis (Top Dolla) stepped forward and confirmed he was responsible, saying he was tired of Nemeth taking opportunities that should be his. Nemeth, fired up and fighting in a Cleveland building, has invited Browns legend Bernie Kosar to be in his corner. Francis goes in as the heel picking a fight in the wrong city.

    Moose vs. Special Agent 0

Order 4’s Special Agent 0 attacked Moose 31 seconds into his Sacrifice match against Edwards, costing him the bout via disqualification. TNA booked the rematch for Rebellion with Moose looking to get his hands on the man who blindsided him.

    Frankie Kazarian vs. Elijah

The two collided at Sacrifice, and TNA has the rematch booked for the Rebellion pre-show. Kazarian is a TNA veteran who has been trading wins and losses with the rising Elijah over recent weeks.

Linda McMahon Rules Out Presidential Run in New Interview

Linda McMahon has definitively ruled out any future presidential campaign. The former WWE CEO and Trump administration official addressed the speculation during a recent appearance on Planet Tyrus.

When asked directly whether she would consider running for President, McMahon’s response left no ambiguity. Despite her close ties to Donald Trump and her experience serving in his administration, she made her position clear.

    McMahon’s Response

“Oh my gosh. No,” McMahon stated when the question was posed to her on the show. The straightforward answer puts to rest any speculation about her political ambitions beyond her previous government service.

McMahon served as Administrator of the Small Business Administration during Trump’s presidency from 2017 to 2019.

She later chaired America First Action, a pro-Trump super PAC, demonstrating her continued involvement in Republican politics without seeking elected office herself.

The former wrestling executive co-founded WWE alongside her husband Vince McMahon and served in various executive roles with the promotion before entering politics.

Her appearance on Planet Tyrus marks one of her recent public interviews addressing her political future.

  • Ricky Saints Responds to ‘Temu Rock’ Comparisons

Ricky Saints Responds to ‘Temu Rock’ Comparisons

Ricky Saints has addressed the constant comparisons to The Rock, saying the criticism no longer bothers him. The WWE superstar spoke candidly about the ongoing fan reactions and social media trolling.

Fans have compared Saints to The Rock for years, pointing to his promo style, confidence, and appearance. The comparisons intensified after his recent WWE run, with some fans linking his concert segment on NXT to Rock’s old concert-style promos.

The comparisons are not new for Saints. During his time in AEW as Ricky Starks, he heard similar comments.

Saints Finds the Comparisons Funny Now

Speaking to TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Saints made it clear the comparisons no longer get under his skin. He even finds humor in how fans react to anything he does that resembles The Rock.

“Getting compared to The Rock is fine at this point, it doesn’t bother me, it genuinely doesn’t,” Saints said. “I think it’s kinda funny when you do one thing The Rock does, and everyone’s like ‘see we knew it! We knew you were trying to be like The Rock for years and years!’ Shut up, oh my God.”

Saints also laughed off the “Temu Rock” insult that fans have used on social media. He pointed out that if being compared to The Rock is the worst criticism he receives, that says something positive about his appearance.

“Saying that I look like The Rock, if that’s the worst insult you have, that means I’m pretty damn attractive,” Saints said. “The whole ‘Temu Rock’, hey buddy, you’re shopping on Temu? Wow. At this point I hear it so much that I find it funny, I used to get Mark Wahlberg at certain points. Matt Damon, I’ve got Matt Damon before.”

Saints also mentioned that his daughter would argue the comparison is not accurate at all. He noted she denies any resemblance between him and The Rock.

For now, Saints remains focused on his WWE run. With The Rock still making occasional appearances, a potential face-off between the two could create an interesting dynamic, especially on the microphone.

AEW Dynasty 2026 Preview: Matches, How to Watch

AEW Dynasty 2026 goes down this Sunday, April 12, live from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. It’s a loaded card headlined by three title matches and a fight that has been building since Kenny Omega returned to reclaim his legacy.

    Key Points

    • Main Event: MJF defends the AEW World Championship against Kenny Omega in a rematch years in the making, with Omega’s health and future hanging over the match.
    • How to Watch: Sunday, April 12 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on HBO Max (Zero Hour pre-show at 7 p.m. ET). Also available via Fubo PPV, Amazon, MyAEW, and PPV.com. $49.99 standard, $39.99 via HBO Max.

    What’s at Stake

Dynasty has earned a reputation for setting AEW’s direction through the first half of the year, and the 2026 edition lives up to that billing.

Every match on this card carries real consequence: championship gold, long-simmering personal scores, and at least one career crossroads. Add a Canadian crowd ready to rally behind homegrown stars Omega and Adam Copeland, and this could be AEW’s best show of the year.

    Match Previews

AEW World Championship: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega

The match AEW fans have been waiting for since Omega came back. Their first meeting went MJF’s way, and Omega has spent the time since putting his body back together and, reportedly, fighting something worse than any opponent. During the contract signing on the April 1 Dynamite, MJF twisted the knife by revealing that Omega’s diverticulitis has progressed to the point where doctors have told him his intestines could rupture at any time. MJF framed it as a ticking clock — Omega’s career and, in his words, his life.

Omega earned the shot by beating Swerve Strickland on Dynamite, with his EVP position on the line. He put everything on the table to get here. The crowd in Vancouver will treat him like a god — this is his home country — and MJF will spend the night playing the villain in hostile territory, the role he does better than anyone in wrestling. Whatever happens at Dynasty, this match has the bones to be the best AEW World title match since Omega’s last run with the belt.

Chris Jericho returned to AEW last week and addressed the audience in Winnipeg without explaining his next move. Whether Y2J inserts himself into Sunday’s main event — potentially as a wildcard for MJF, then or later — is the biggest question heading into the show.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR (c) vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

This one is personal in a way that makes the title almost secondary. FTR turned on Copeland at All Out 2025, and Harwood and Wheeler made it unforgettable by piledriving Beth Phoenix after the match. Copeland has been off TV since. His return at Revolution to stare down FTR after their title defense set up the rematch, and now Cage & Cope want gold to go along with their revenge.

FTR have been champions for over 130 days and have not faced a serious threat until now. Tag team psychology versus veteran instinct, as one outlet put it, and this will likely deliver on every level. It’s the first time Copeland and Cage have a legitimate shot at tag team gold together in roughly 25 years, and the crowd in Vancouver will make sure they know it.

AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Will Ospreay

Ospreay came back at Revolution pointing at one person: the man who put him on the shelf at Forbidden Door 2025. He attacked Moxley backstage at the April 1 Dynamite and demanded the Continental title go on the line. Moxley accepted. The Continental rules apply — no one at ringside, 20-minute time limit for a decisive finish. Ospreay’s neck went through a steel cage match with the Death Riders before he took time away, and he was emotional when he explained what that absence cost his family. That’s what makes this more than a revenge spot. He’s not just coming for Mox. He’s coming for everything Moxley has.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Jamie Hayter

Hayter held this title before Toni Storm took it from her in a match that, in hindsight, came at the wrong time — her run ended too soon, too fast. She’s been clawing her way back ever since, and Thekla has been the latest obstacle. The Women’s Champion has beaten Hayter before and has shown a knack for chaos that makes her hard to pin down. But Hayter issued the challenge with a clear message: she wants the belt, and she’s done waiting. This is a strong match for the division.

Darby Allin vs. Andrade El Idolo

Allin called out MJF directly — he wants the World title shot. MJF’s response was predictable: you don’t get a shot just because you want one. Beat a Don Callis Family member first. That member turned out to be Andrade, who was visibly irritated at being positioned as someone else’s stepping stone when he should be going after gold himself. That tension gives the match a real undercurrent. Andrade is not taking this fight lying down, and Allin needs the win to keep his trajectory alive. A loss here puts him back in the queue; a win gets him inside MJF’s orbit.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for April 8, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Queen Aminata (TBS Championship)

Nightingale has been on a roll, successfully defending the TBS title against the returning Hikaru Shida on last Thursday’s special edition of Collision. Tonight she faces another returning challenger in Queen Aminata, who hasn’t competed in a singles match since September and has never previously challenged for a singles title in AEW despite being with the company since 2021.

Whoever wins tonight’s match is likely heading into Dynasty with a target on their back, as AEW has yet to officially announce an opponent for a TBS title bout at the PPV.

Darby Allin, Bandido & Jack Perry vs. Andrade El Idolo, Konosuke Takeshita & Mark Davis (Trios Match)

This one comes with a late roster change. Brody King was originally slated to partner with Allin and Perry, but Tony Khan announced he’s out for personal reasons. Bandido steps in as the replacement.

The match previews what’s coming at Dynasty, where Allin meets Andrade in a singles bout with a World Title shot on the line if Darby wins. Takeshita and Davis round out the Don Callis Family side, giving AEW National Champion Perry a chance to mix it up with some of the most dangerous names on the roster heading into Sunday. Expect this one to spill over into the pay-per-view build in a big way.

    Chris Jericho Addresses His Return

Jericho returned to AEW last week in Winnipeg after nearly a year away, receiving a massive hometown reaction. He kept it brief, but tonight in Edmonton he’s expected to say considerably more. What his role looks like at Dynasty, and who might be in his crosshairs, should become much clearer after he grabs the mic tonight.

Kenny Omega Speaks Ahead of His AEW World Championship Match

Omega earned the number one contendership by defeating Swerve Strickland two weeks ago, putting his EVP position on the line to do it. He faces AEW World Champion MJF at Dynasty on Sunday in a rematch from their 2023 singles encounter. Tonight he gets the microphone one last time before that match, and given everything at stake, this segment has the potential to be one of the best promos of the year.

    Road to AEW Dynasty 2026

AEW Dynasty 2026 takes place Sunday, April 12 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, streaming live on TBS and HBO Max.

Tonight’s Dynamite is the final stop before Sunday’s pay-per-view, with the Omega/MJF world title match and Moxley/Ospreay headlining a card that also includes Adam Copeland and Christian Cage challenging FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

  • Steve McMichael Diagnosed With CTE Following Death From ALS

Steve McMichael Diagnosed With CTE Following Death From ALS

    Steve McMichael

Steve “Mongo” McMichael, the Pro Football Hall of Famer who also had a run in WCW during the late 1990s, has been posthumously diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), the Concussion & CTE Foundation announced Tuesday.

McMichael passed away last year at the age of 67 after a five-year battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Before his death, he donated his brain to research, specifically to study a potential link between ALS and CTE.

“Too many NFL players are developing ALS during life and diagnosed with CTE after death,” his wife Misty McMichael said in a statement. “I donated Steve’s brain to inspire new research into the link between them.”

CTE is a degenerative brain disease associated with repetitive head trauma. It can only be confirmed after death and has been found in athletes across contact sports as well as military veterans.

Chris Nowinski, co-founder and CEO of the Concussion & CTE Foundation, praised McMichael’s decision to pledge his brain to science.

“Steve McMichael was known for his strength, toughness, and larger-than-life presence, but his final act was to give a piece of himself back to the sports community so that we might have a chance to save ourselves,” Nowinski said.

McMichael spent 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears and was a cornerstone of the team’s dominant 1985 defense. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024 after his ALS diagnosis prompted a long-overdue push for his enshrinement.

Wrestling fans will remember McMichael from his WCW tenure, where he was a member of the Four Horsemen alongside his close friend Ric Flair. He was laid to rest in April 2025 in a private ceremony attended by former Bears teammates and fellow Hall of Famers.

His CTE diagnosis adds to a growing body of research connecting football careers to long-term neurological damage.
