WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the site of tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and is expected to appear on the broadcast. According to a report from PWInsider.com, Stratus is there to initiate a new storyline.

The purpose of her appearance is reportedly to set up a program that will culminate in a match at the upcoming Evolution 2 Premium Live Event on July 13.

Stratus’s most recent run in WWE took place in 2023, where she turned heel and entered into an extended feud with Becky Lynch. That storyline, which saw Stratus align with Zoey Stark, concluded with Lynch defeating Stratus in a steel cage match at the Payback PLE last September.

  • The Rock\’s Involvement In \”WWE: Unreal\” Revealed

New details have been learned about the upcoming Netflix docuseries, ‘WWE: Unreal’, which is set to provide an unprecedented look behind the scenes of the sports entertainment giant. The five-episode series, co-produced by Peyton Manning\’s Omaha Productions and NFL Films, will be released on July 29.

A source close to the production compared the series to HBO’s popular ‘Hard Knocks’ and provided POST Wrestling with the following breakdown for each episode:

Episode 1: A focus on the WWE Raw premiere on Netflix from this past January, highlighting the main event between CM Punk and Seth Rollins, with a spotlight on Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Rhea Ripley.

Episode 2: This episode will center on the men’s Royal Rumble match, the feud between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, and Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble victory.

Episode 3: An episode heavily featuring the women\’s division, including Chelsea Green’s United States title win, Charlotte Flair’s return from injury, the women’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches, and a spotlight on Bianca Belair. Both Rumble-focused episodes are said to feature a visually compelling continuous sequence following one wrestler throughout the match.

Episode 4: This episode will cover John Cena’s shocking heel turn at Elimination Chamber in March, the secrecy surrounding it, the men’s Elimination Chamber match, and The New Day’s heel turn. This is reportedly the only episode to feature comments from WWE President Nick Khan, along with appearances by Dwayne \”The Rock\” Johnson and Brian Gewirtz.

Episode 5: The WrestleMania 41 episode, spotlighting the matches between GUNTHER and Jey Uso; CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns; Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair; and Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena.

Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque is said to be a central figure in the series, providing narration and an introduction. It was also noted that Dwayne Johnson\’s team provided notes for the episodes in which he appears.

While the series will feature footage from writers\’ meetings and the Gorilla position, a large portion will be dedicated to wrestler profiles and match breakdowns. Filming reportedly began around WrestleMania 40 last year and ramped up significantly last November. A second batch of five episodes is already being filmed for a planned release in early 2026.

  • Canadian Man Faces Federal Stalking Charges In Liv Morgan Incident

A Canadian professional wrestling fan is facing federal charges after an alarming stalking incident where he allegedly attempted to break into the Florida home of WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan.

According to a recently unsealed FBI affidavit, 41-year-old Shawn Chan of Scarborough, Ontario, was captured on surveillance video on May 31 trying to enter Morgan\’s home. The affidavit states Chan flew to Orlando on May 26 and, four days later, arrived at Morgan\’s residence. The footage reportedly shows him circling the property, trying the front door handle multiple times, and searching for a spare key.

After failing to gain entry, Chan allegedly found an air rifle that had been left on the porch and was seen on video holding the weapon. The affidavit identifies the weapon as a \”Sig Sauer MCX .177 air rifle capable of firing metal pellets at 600 feet per second.”

After more than two hours, Chan left a handwritten note near the front door that included his name and contact information, stating, “I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more.”

On June 3, Chan appeared at the WWE Performance Center, where Morgan was present for a taping. Security personnel, who had been alerted and shown the surveillance footage, recognized Chan and notified authorities. He was taken into custody, and during a search, officers reportedly found two bottles of liquid on his person, which Chan described as \”medicines, one of which was to treat injuries such as bleeding.”

Morgan informed police that she did not know Chan. He has been indicted on one count of interstate domestic violence and is scheduled to appear in federal court in Orlando on July 18.

  • Matt Riddle Deletes Scathing Tweet Aimed At CM Punk

The bad blood between Matt Riddle and CM Punk boiled over on social media today, with Riddle posting and then quickly deleting a scathing tweet aimed at the \”Best in the World\” and his fanbase. The post came just moments after Punk was booed during the WWE Night of Champions Kickoff show in Saudi Arabia.

Riddle took aim at Punk\’s supporters, referencing the recent viral video of Punk pushing away a young fan who was trying to get a photo.

“To the real ones that pay everyone else’s bills and out work most people in their professions much respect ?? but to all of the C**’s that literally can’t even pay rent let alone support themselves have a voice/opinion. You can all suck my big ? and keep supporting a dude that literally pushes random kids, can’t win a fight and botches every other second in the ring ? also a lot of people are making accusations and I’d say I have no criminal record and any claim I made was 100% true hence I don’t have one you p******! Ask the FBI and Internal Affairs!”

The now-deleted tweet is the latest in a series of shots Riddle has taken at Punk. He recently blamed Punk for damaging AEW\’s momentum and called him a \”b*** to work with in the back.\”

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/06/\"https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/06/\"

The tirade came just hours after Punk had publicly apologized during the same kickoff show for a controversial 2020 tweet where he made a crude remark about The Miz and Saudi Arabia.

  • Internal Reaction To CM Punk Being Booed In Saudi Arabia

The negative reaction CM Punk received during the Night of Champions Kickoff show in Riyadh was not a surprise to WWE officials. According to a report from Fightful Select, the company anticipated the backlash and had \”prepared accordingly\” for the situation.

The boos from the live crowd were a direct response to an infamous, since-deleted tweet from 2020 in which Punk made a crude remark directed at The Miz that referenced \”blood money\” and Saudi Arabia. Punk used the kickoff show platform to address the controversy head-on, offering an apology to the fans in attendance and to The Miz.

“This guy wants me to apologize for a mean tweet I wrote six years ago. Hey, listen—legitimately, it had nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. I woke up and I was crabby, and I wrote a mean tweet to The Miz. I apologized to The Miz, and sir, Muhammad, I sincerely apologize to you and all of Saudi Arabia.”

Despite the direct apology, the crowd continued to voice their displeasure, a reaction WWE was reportedly expecting. Now, with the air cleared, the focus shifts to Punk\’s Undisputed WWE Championship match against John Cena at Night of Champions, where the atmosphere is sure to be electric.

  • Top TNA Star’s Contract Expires This Year

TNA Wrestling has seen plenty of roster turnover this year, but one of its top stars, Steve Maclin, isn’t going anywhere—at least not yet.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the former TNA World Champion is signed with the company through December 2025. With several talents having departed TNA at the end of 2024, Maclin’s contract status is a key piece of information as the company approaches what is expected to be another major contract period at the end of this year.

Since arriving in TNA in 2021 following his WWE release, Maclin has established himself as one of the promotion’s most dangerous and featured competitors. Known for his no-nonsense, smash-mouth style, he has been a consistent presence in TNA’s main event scene.

Maclin reached the pinnacle of the company by winning the TNA World Championship in 2023. He is the current TNA International Champion, continuing his run as one of the promotion’s top stars. With his contract set to expire in just six months, his future will be a hot topic as the end of the year approaches.

  • Roman Reigns\’ WWE Return Is \”On The Horizon\”

A new update has emerged regarding the return of Roman Reigns to WWE programming, suggesting \”The Tribal Chief\” could be back in time for the company\’s biggest party of the summer. Reigns was last seen on the April 21 episode of Monday Night Raw, the night after WrestleMania 41.

According to a report from WrestleVotes, Reigns’ name has recently appeared in internal discussions, which typically signals that a return is being planned.

“It seems that time of year again—Roman Reigns’ return is on the horizon,” WrestleVotes posted on X. “Sources indicate his name has popped up internally in recent weeks, typically signaling the wheels are in motion for a return heading into the biggest party of the summer.”

Reigns was written off television after being brutally attacked by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. The attack came one night after Reigns\’ former Wiseman, Paul Heyman, betrayed both him and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41.

During Reigns\’ absence, Seth Rollins has continued to mention his name in promos, hinting that their long-standing feud may be reignited upon his return. We will provide further updates on Roman Reigns’ WWE return as more information becomes available.

  • Goldberg Says It\’s \”All Or Nothing\” For Final Match Against GUNTHER

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is taking an \”all or nothing\” approach to his final match against World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at Saturday Night\’s Main Event next month in Atlanta, Georgia.

Despite recently acknowledging injury setbacks during his training, Goldberg made it clear on the latest episode of the Carcast podcast that he will not be holding anything back.

“I don’t give a fk how I feel walking out of there, I’ll be perfectly honest with you. This is all or nothing,\” Goldberg stated. \”At 58 and with the injuries that I’ve had, there’s no question that I’ve compromised a little bit, but like I said the other night, I don’t give a flying fk if I walk in there with a football helmet and two knee braces and my arm in a sling — it doesn’t mean anything other than the fact that I’m a little hobbled and I won’t be 100%.\”

He noted that when the bell rings, his physical condition won\’t matter.

\”I’m bringing it, that’s the only way I know how to go,\” he said. \”When the clock ticks and it’s time to get in the ring, it doesn’t matter if I’m ready or not, because I better be ready.”

Goldberg\’s last match was at Elimination Chamber in 2022, where he lost to Roman Reigns. Since returning to WWE in 2016, he has captured the Universal Championship on two separate occasions.

  • Backstage Update On WWE SmackDown\’s Return To A Two-Hour Format

The era of the three-hour WWE Friday Night SmackDown is coming to a permanent end. According to a new report from PWInsider, the show\’s return to a two-hour format on the USA Network, beginning with the July 4th episode, is a permanent change moving forward.

The move to three hours began when SmackDown returned to the USA Network at the start of 2025. While it was initially thought to be a temporary measure, reports earlier this year suggested the USA Network was pleased with the viewership for the third hour and considered keeping the extended runtime. However, the decision has now been made to revert to the traditional two-hour structure, a format the show has maintained for most of its run since its debut in 1999.

The final three-hour edition of SmackDown will be a significant one, airing this Friday, June 27, from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show will serve as the go-home broadcast for the Night of Champions premium live event and will feature the finals of both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

The first show back in the two-hour format will be the July 4th episode, which is scheduled to be pre-taped this upcoming Monday, June 30, following the live broadcast of Raw.

  • Former WWE General Manager May Be Returning To The Company

A familiar voice may soon be screaming \”Excuse Me!\” on WWE programming again. According to a report from Fightful Select, former WWE general manager Vickie Guerrero has recently told people that she will be back with the company for some appearances \”in a few weeks.\”

While the nature of the appearances was not specified, the timing aligns with the upcoming all-women\’s WWE Evolution premium live event in July, leading to speculation that she could be involved in the show.

Guerrero was a mainstay on WWE television for years, serving as a regular on-screen character and one of the most effective heel authority figures in company history. She departed in 2018 and later appeared for AEW from 2019 to 2023. During her time with AEW, Guerrero had claimed that WWE had \”cut her off.\”

However, the relationship appears to have since been mended, as Guerrero was spotted backstage at a WWE SmackDown taping in September 2025. Her potential return would add a veteran presence to WWE programming.

  • Dave Bautista To Star In New Romantic Comedy \’The Romantic\’

Dave Bautista\’s long-expressed desire to star in a romantic comedy is finally coming true. According to a report from Deadline, the former WWE Champion and Hollywood star is attached to star in \”The Romantic,\” a new romantic comedy acquired by Paramount Pictures.

The film, produced by Ryan Reynolds\’ Maximum Effort and Bautista\’s own Dogbone Entertainment, will feature Bautista as Ed Schwenke, a \”six-foot-four mountain of a man\” who is secretly a bestselling romance author writing under the female pen name Francine London. The plot revolves around Ed hiring a woman to pose as Francine at a romance fiction convention to protect his identity from a cynical journalist.

For years, Bautista has been vocal about wanting to break into the genre. In a 2023 interview with Page Six, he questioned why he hadn\’t been offered such a role.

“I know I’m not your typical rom-com lead. I’m a little rough around the edges,\” Bautista said. \”But I always, you know, I look in the mirror and I say, I ask myself, ‘Am I that unattractive? Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?\’” He added at the time that he would \”keep searching\” for the right opportunity.

The script for \”The Romantic\” was written by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, known for films like Can’t Hardly Wait and Josie and the Pussycats. No director is currently attached to the project.

  • Chad Gable Reportedly Set To Undergo Surgery

WWE Raw star Chad Gable has been a breakout star over the last few years, but it appears he will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future. Gable was written off television on this past week’s episode of Raw when Penta attacked him, and it’s now been confirmed the angle was done to cover for a legitimate injury.

According to a report from PWInsider, the word making the rounds among talent is that Chad Gable is slated to undergo surgery in early July. At this time, the specific nature of the injury remains unknown, and there is no timetable for his return to the ring.

Unfortunately, the injury is timed, as Gable has been a consistent and entertaining presence on Monday nights with his heel “coach” persona for the Alpha Academy. His absence will likely force WWE to adjust creative plans for his faction and the storylines he was involved in.

Gable joins a growing list of sidelined WWE talent, which includes Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio, and Liv Morgan, who are all dealing with significant injuries. We wish Chad Gable a full and speedy recovery.

Inamura reportedly won that taped match and will now challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at The Great American Bash. A tag team match was also confirmed for the same event.

Jordynne Grace, who won a four-way elimination match on this week\’s live NXT to earn a shot at Jacy Jayne\’s NXT Women\’s Championship at Evolution, will team with newcomer Blake Monroe. With talent and crew arriving, WWE has also announced a Night of Champions Kickoff event for this Friday in Riyadh, which will take place ahead of the live SmackDown broadcast. SmackDown is scheduled to air on Netflix internationally at 1 PM Eastern time before its normal 8 PM Eastern timeslot on the USA Network.

A conclusion that many had already reached has now been officially confirmed: Chris Park, known to wrestling fans as Abyss, is retired from in-ring competition. The TNA Hall of Famer confirmed the news in a new interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.

Park, who has been working as a WWE producer and agent for over six years, has not wrestled since taking the backstage role. While he is featured as a playable character in the new WWE 2K25 \”Dunk & Destruction\” DLC pack, he has no desire to step back into the ring for a real match.

\”To answer quite frankly, I\’m done. I don\’t have plans to ever wrestling again,\” Park said. \”Never say never, but I don\’t see it in the cards, and I don\’t want it in the cards. I\’m so happy what I\’m doing as a producer.\”

He added that he is very fulfilled with his work in game planning and working on the production end of things in WWE. Park also noted that while he hasn\’t pushed to be an on-screen character, he would not be opposed to making an appearance as his other character, the lawyer Joseph Park.

During the interview, Park also confirmed that he had discussions to join WWE on several occasions in the 2000s and was very flattered by their offers at the time.

  • Backstage News On Kota Ibushi\’s AEW Return And First Match

Following his return to AEW after more than a year away, Kota Ibushi\’s first match back has been confirmed for this week\’s episode of Dynamite, where he will face Trent Beretta. According to a report from Fightful Select, there is a specific reason Beretta was chosen for Ibushi\’s return, and there is positive news regarding Ibushi\’s physical condition.

Ibushi returned on the June 21 episode of Collision to stand with his friend Kenny Omega against the Don Callis Family. He had been sidelined for much of the past year and a half with various injuries, wrestling only sparingly during that time. Those spoken to within AEW indicated that Ibushi is now in a \”much better place physically than he has been in quite a long time.\”

His opponent, Trent Beretta, is also returning from a year-long absence from the ring, and this will be his first singles match back as well. AEW sources indicated that Beretta was seen as an appropriate opponent for Ibushi because of his familiarity with both the American television style and the Japanese style that Ibushi is known for.

The match, which will be the first one-on-one encounter between the two, was officially announced by AEW President Tony Khan on X this morning.

  • WWE\’s Plans For July 4th Episode Of SmackDown Uncertain

The runtime for WWE SmackDown throughout July remains a mystery, with a new report indicating that even WWE may not have a firm plan in place. The confusion was discussed on the June 23 episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the show\’s format, particularly for the upcoming July 4th episode, which will be taped next Monday following Raw. Alvarez noted that the show is apparently planned to be three hours long, which contradicts some other recent reports.

Meltzer confirmed he\’s heard the same but has been unable to get a definitive answer from his sources within the company, suggesting a lack of a finalized plan.

While SmackDown is confirmed to be moving to a three-hour format permanently starting on August 15, the schedule for the weeks leading up to that date remains unclear.

USA Network has set August 15 for the premiere of The Rainmaker, USA\’s upcoming legal drama series based on the John Grisham novel. This show will air in the place that the third hour of SmackDown currently does.

  • WWE Blocked Any Mention Of The Iran-Israel Conflict On Raw

Despite significant regional conflict in the Middle East that has caused travel disruptions for its staff, WWE is reportedly moving forward with its SmackDown and Night of Champions events in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this weekend. The company also reportedly banned any mention of the real-world crisis on its programming.

The status of the events came into question due to the ongoing conflict involving Iran and Israel, which has seen military action from the United States and has impacted the region. The situation led to the temporary closure of Qatari airspace on June 23, which resulted in some WWE staffers being stuck in Qatar while en route to Riyadh for the shows.

On Monday\’s episode of Raw, WWE made changes to the Night of Champions card, pulling the Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles, citing an injury to Mysterio. However, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there was a directive not to mention the geopolitical situation.

\”They just were not allowed to mention anything…I don\’t think they wanted those questions being asked as far as everything,\” Meltzer said.

A ceasefire between Israel and Iran was announced today, June 24, but the situation remains volatile with conflicting reports about its stability. As of now, the expectation is that WWE Night of Champions will proceed as planned on Saturday, June 28.

  • Goldberg Sends Brutal Warning To GUNTHER

On the June 23 episode of Monday Night Raw from Columbus, Ohio, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg spoke about his upcoming match against World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. The match is scheduled for Saturday Night\’s Main Event on July 12, 2025, in Atlanta, a city with significant history for Goldberg\’s career.

During the interview segment, Goldberg confirmed that this upcoming match will be his retirement match. He explained that GUNTHER put himself in that spot after their physical confrontation at the Bad Blood event in Atlanta. Goldberg stated that he wasn\’t going to let GUNTHER get away with the disrespect shown during that encounter and that the embarrassment would be rectified soon.

When asked about his opponent, Goldberg made his intentions clear, promising to seek revenge and introduce the champion to who he really is. As long as he is breathing, he will make GUNTHER breathe his last.

“I will beat the ***** out of GUNTHER at Saturday Night’s Main Event,” he stated.

When Michael Cole followed up by asking about the possibility of winning the World Heavyweight Championship in his final match, Goldberg acknowledged that it presented an interesting situation, leaving the door open for a historic end to his career.

  • Title Match Pulled From WWE Night Of Champions

The card for this Saturday\’s WWE Night of Champions premium live event has undergone a significant change. On the June 23 episode of Monday Night Raw, it was announced that the scheduled Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles will no longer be taking place at the event in Saudi Arabia.

During the broadcast, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce informed an unhappy AJ Styles that his title match was off. The reason given was that the situation was connected to Liv Morgan\’s recent injury, though further details were not provided.

The reason for Mysterio\’s removal from the event has not been officially confirmed. In the segment, Styles was promised the next opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship whenever Mysterio is able to defend it again.

Night of Champions is scheduled to take place this Saturday, June 28, leaving WWE with little time to add a replacement match to the card. The removal of the Intercontinental Championship defense leaves a notable spot open on the card for the major international event. Here is the updated card for the show:

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena vs. CM Punk

United States Champion Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa

King of the Ring tournament finals

Queen of the Ring tournament finals

  • Update On WWE Night Of Champions After Airspace Shutdown Reports

There is an update on the status of this weekend\’s WWE events in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, following reports of regional tensions and travel disruptions. While a handful of WWE employees are currently stuck in Qatar, the setup for Night of Champions is reportedly continuing as scheduled.

Reports from PWInsider and Fightful Select have clarified the situation after news of temporary airspace shutdowns near Qatar caused concern. According to PWInsider, five WWE staffers are currently stuck at Dohar Airport in Qatar while waiting for a connecting flight into Riyadh. However, the majority of the production crew has been in Saudi Arabia for over a week, with some staff arriving as early as the week of June 9. Setup for the event has been underway and is said to be continuing on schedule.

According to Fightful Select, as of Monday evening, the plan was still for the event to take place, with government meetings reportedly being held in Saudi Arabia. WWE talent scheduled for the trip had not been informed of any changes to their travel plans as of Monday afternoon and are still expected to fly over mid-week on a charter plane. Talent who were spoken to for the report said they expect that WWE is figuring things out like everyone else is.

For those who have asked, the reports also reiterate that talent are no longer given a separate bonus for the Saudi Arabia shows, as that compensation is now included in their main contracts.
