  • Becky Lynch\’s Next WWE Feud Revealed

One night after her successful and grueling title defense at SummerSlam, a new report has revealed who will be the next challenger for Women\’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. According to Cory Hays of BodySlam.net, a program is set to begin between Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella.

The report indicates that after Lynch\’s victory over Lyra Valkyria, which ended that feud due to a \”last chance\” stipulation, a new program with the returning Nikki Bella is expected to begin for the championship, possibly as soon as tonight\’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

At last night\’s SummerSlam Night Two, Becky Lynch retained her title against Lyra Valkyria in a hard-fought No Disqualification match. The bout featured interference from Bayley, who accidentally struck Valkyria with a steel chain, allowing Lynch to hit the Manhandle Slam for the victory. It was also noted that Bayley has been teasing a character change in recent weeks after being left off of both the WrestleMania and SummerSlam cards.

The reported start of this new championship feud adds another major angle to what is expected to be a newsworthy post-SummerSlam episode of Monday Night Raw tonight. The show will also feature the fallout from the shocking World Heavyweight Championship change, with both the new champion, Seth Rollins, and the man he cashed in on, CM Punk, scheduled to appear.

  • Jade Cargill Recalls Meet And Greet Horror Story With A Fan

Jade Cargill has shared a story about an uncomfortable \”horror story\” experience from a meet and greet, detailing an incident where a fan repeatedly asked her to spit on him, forcing her to call security.

While speaking on the Rory & Mal show, Cargill was asked about her most interesting fan interactions. She recalled one incident where a fan took his requests too far, making her feel extremely uncomfortable.

“There was a lot of men that legit wanted me to like punch him and step on them, and like one guy wanted me to spit on him. It was the weirdest thing, and I felt so uncomfortable,\” Cargill said. \”But this guy wanted me to spit on him, degrade him, stomp on him, and I had on heels, and I was just like, this is the weirdest.”

Cargill explained that the fan was persistent with his request, even after she tried to play along with a photo op. His behavior escalated to the point where she had to end the interaction.

\”He was like, ‘just spit on me’ like quick, quick, like loud, and I was like ‘security!’, like this is not it,\” she recalled. \”I had to take like a minute because it was such like a weird feeling and vibe because even when he got up, he was like, just grabbing my leg to like climb up. It was odd.”

  • Randy Orton On \’WWE: Unreal\’: \”The Old School In Me Doesn\’t Love It\”

WWE veteran Randy Orton has weighed in on the new \”WWE: Unreal\” docuseries on Netflix, sharing his mixed feelings about the show\’s unprecedented look behind the scenes and admitting that the \”old school\” part of him \”doesn\’t love it.\”

Speaking on the Maggie and Perloff Show, \”The Viper\” explained his internal conflict with shows that pull back the curtain on the wrestling business. He noted that while he understands the need to evolve, a part of him misses the mystique.

“The old school in me doesn’t love it. But, I had to learn over the last few years especially, you gotta change with the times,\” Orton said. \”But, there’s a part of me that also misses just the magic. When I was a kid, the number one thing that people would ask my father and kids at school would ask me, ‘Is it real? Is it real?’”

Orton acknowledged that he understands the appeal of the docuseries for a modern audience that is curious about the inner workings of WWE. He said that while he doesn\’t personally \”love the idea,\” he finds it \”intriguing.\”

\”I think there’s a large amount of fans out there that are very curious and they want to know behind the scenes and how we do what we do and make it look so effortless,\” he stated. \”My job is to go out there in that ring and get you to kind of suspend your belief… and make you believe that what you’re seeing, that there’s real emotion behind it.\”

  • Dominik Mysterio Addresses Potential Babyface Turn In WWE

Despite being one of WWE\’s most hated heels for years, Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio has started to receive more cheers from the fans. In a new interview with Bleacher Report, Mysterio addressed the changing crowd reactions and discussed the possibility of a future babyface turn.

\”Dirty Dom\” acknowledged that while he is still mostly booed, he has noticed fans chanting along with his theme song, which he admits is a funny experience after being booed for so long.

“You know, I react to what is being given to me, right? And as of now, they’ve been booing me, but every now and then, they’ll chant that Dirty Dom song,\” he said. \”And that Dirty Dom song, for one way or another, it always gets a crack out of me and I tend to break and smile because it’s funny hearing everyone singing it together — because I’ve just been getting booed for years.\”

When asked if this growing support could lead to him embracing a babyface role, Mysterio was non-committal. He stated that he hasn\’t changed anything about his character and that any potential turn would have to happen naturally.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever embrace it ’cause I haven’t changed anything about myself. I’ve just been Dirty Dom all the way,\” he explained. \”We’ll have to wait and see… it’s got to be organic. You can’t force anything. Can’t force it.”

Mysterio\’s comments on his character come just one night after a major victory at the SummerSlam premium live event. On Night Two of the show from MetLife Stadium, \”Dirty Dom\” successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against \”The Phenomenal\” AJ Styles, securing one of the biggest wins of his career. It remains to be seen if the fan support he has been receiving will continue to grow in the wake of his successful title defense.

  • WWE Keeping Plans For SummerSlam Main Event A Closely Guarded Secret

With just hours to go until the main event of SummerSlam Night Two, a new report has revealed that the plans for the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena are being kept a closely guarded secret, even from many within the company.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the result and major moments for tonight\’s main event are on a strict \”need-to-know\” basis. “We’re told the result and general happenings of the Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena are being kept very close to the vest,\” the report states. \”There are a number of writers and producers who have not been clued into the direction, by design.” The report adds that as of Sunday, staff had not been informed of any potential involvement from The Rock.

The secrecy surrounding the match adds to an already unpredictable storyline. The feud took a major turn on this past Friday\’s SmackDown with John Cena\’s apparent return to his babyface persona, which reportedly caught many off guard. That segment was also the first time WWE had vaguely addressed the months-long absences of The Rock and Travis Scott, who were part of Cena\’s original heel turn at Elimination Chamber.

The intense secrecy around tonight\’s main event follows a shocking conclusion to Night One of SummerSlam last night. In a moment that stunned the wrestling world, Seth Rollins revealed his recent injury was a work and successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on a newly crowned CM Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, setting a high bar for surprises this weekend.

  • Cody Rhodes On Logan Paul: \”He Is Going To End Up Being World Champion\”

Cody Rhodes has offered massive praise for United States Champion Logan Paul, calling him one of the \”hardest working people\” he\’s ever seen and predicting that he will one day become a world champion in WWE.

Speaking on a new episode of the Bill Simmons podcast, Rhodes was asked if he gets mad at how quickly Paul has taken to professional wrestling. \”No. If he had just stepped in and was immediately as good as he was, I’d be furious,\” Rhodes said. \”One of the hardest working people I’ve ever seen… He took it as seriously as anybody ever.\”

\”The American Nightmare\” then made a bold prediction about Paul\’s future, stating his belief that the social media megastar will eventually reach the pinnacle of the industry. \”I have a feeling he is going to end up being World Champion or WWE Champion as some point. The internet will explode and we’ll be fine. He is very special,\” Rhodes stated. \”As legitimate as a prick as you can meet, but I love having him on the team. He is a massive asset to WWE. Going to be a future champion, for sure.”

Rhodes\’ high praise comes just one night after Logan Paul competed in a high-profile celebrity tag team match on Night One of SummerSlam. Paul teamed with Drew McIntyre to score a victory over the team of Randy Orton and musical artist Jelly Roll, adding another major win to his impressive resume.

  • Jacob Fatu Says Paul Heyman Made Phone Call To Bring Him To WWE TV

Jacob Fatu has opened up about his journey to the company, revealing in a new interview that he never asked his famous cousins for help and that the official call to bring him in came from Paul Heyman.

Speaking to Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, Fatu explained his desire to make it to WWE on his own merits, without a \”handout\” from his family, who were at the center of the hottest storyline in wrestling.

“I never asked my cousins for a handout because they were doing Bloodline, the hottest thing. How could I ask them for something when they’re so busy?” Fatu said. “It was more motivating for me, watching them because I’m a fan of my brothers. I love them and am such a fan of their work.”

Fatu revealed that after keeping his free agency quiet, the call finally came from a legendary figure who has always been connected to his family. “It was from Paul Heyman,\” he recalled. \”Mr. William Regal text me throughout the years, ‘Let us know what’s going on.’ Mr. Heyman has always been tapped in.” Fatu also expressed his gratitude to the company for the opportunity, saying, \”Shoutout to Triple H for giving me a chance… WWE blessed me. Took care of everything. They took a chance on me.\”

Fatu\’s journey has led him to one of the biggest matches of his career tonight on Night Two of SummerSlam. He is scheduled to challenge his cousin, Solo Sikoa, for the United States Championship inside a steel cage.

  • Backstage Surprise Over Top WWE Star\’s SummerSlam Role

While WWE SummerSlam weekend is in full swing, a new report has revealed that one top Raw star was originally expected to have a more significant role on the card. According to Fightful Select, sources within WWE had expected The Judgment Day\’s Damian Priest to have a \”bigger role\” at the event.

The report notes that some within the company were surprised that Priest was not booked for a major match at the two-night premium live event. This is especially the case after he reportedly worked through multiple injuries during his recent high-profile feud with Drew McIntyre.

Despite being a former World Heavyweight Champion and a key member of the dominant Judgment Day faction, Priest does not have a match scheduled for either night of SummerSlam. His last major bout was at the Saturday Night\’s Main Event special in July, where he unsuccessfully challenged GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship.

While Priest is not in action, his Judgment Day stablemates have had a busy SummerSlam weekend. On Night One last night, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez lost their WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships to the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Tonight on Night Two, \”Dirty\” Dominik Mysterio is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles.

  • Hurt Business Members Cedric Alexander And Shelton Benjamin To Reunite

Two members of the popular former WWE faction, The Hurt Business, are set to reunite for the first time in two years. United Pro Wrestling has announced that Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin will team up for one night only at their \”Battleground in Gastonia\” event on September 13th.

In an announcement on their Instagram page, UPW confirmed that the former WWE Raw Tag Team Champions will reunite in their ring. The promotion noted that Cedric Alexander was originally targeting the UPW Heavyweight Championship, but is now \”calling for a tag team war instead.\” Their opponents have not yet been announced.

The reunion is a rare inter-promotional team-up between stars currently signed to two different major companies. Shelton Benjamin is currently in AEW, where he is a member of The Hurt Syndicate alongside Bobby Lashley and MVP. Cedric Alexander, meanwhile, recently made his debut for TNA Wrestling, making this a special attraction match for the independent event.

The one-night reunion sees two wrestlers currently active in major promotions teaming up. Shelton Benjamin is one-half of the reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate. Cedric Alexander made his TNA Wrestling debut at the Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 20, where he faced his former WWE colleague, Mustafa Ali, in a singles match.

  • Dominik Mysterio Confirms His Recent Rib Injury Was Legitimate

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio has confirmed that the injury that forced the cancellation of his match at the Night of Champions event was legitimate. In a new interview, Mysterio detailed the rib injury and pushed back on fan speculation that it was a storyline.

Speaking on the Club 520 podcast, \”Dirty Dom\” addressed the rumors that he was faking an injury to get out of his scheduled match against AJ Styles. He explained the specific and painful nature of the injury he was dealing with.

“I dislocated my two lower ribs. They were digging into my cartilage. That’s why I was hurt,\” Mysterio said. \”Everyone thought I was faking it, but I was actually hurt.”

The Intercontinental Championship match was originally scheduled for the Night of Champions premium live event but was pulled from the card the week of the show after it was announced Mysterio was not medically cleared to compete. In the weeks that followed, AJ Styles stalked the injured champion until Mysterio was finally cleared for a return to the ring.

With the injury now behind him, \”Dirty Dom\” is set to finally face \”The Phenomenal\” AJ Styles this weekend at the two-night SummerSlam premium live event. The highly-anticipated match for the Intercontinental Championship is scheduled to take place on Night Two of the event, this Sunday, August 3rd, live from MetLife Stadium.

  • CM Punk Argues His Famous \’Pipe Bomb\’ Promo Did Not Break Kayfabe

CM Punk has reflected on his legendary 2011 \”Pipe Bomb\” promo, arguing in a new interview that despite popular belief, he did not break kayfabe. Instead, he believes the promo\’s enduring power comes from the fact that it is still \”almost misunderstood\” by fans.

Speaking with Allenownz Wrasslin, CM Punk was asked about the perception that his famous promo was one of the first times the curtain was truly pulled back for modern fans. He disagreed with that assessment, contrasting his promo with the 1996 \”Curtain Call\” incident, which he views as a genuine exposure of the business.

“I did not expose anything. You juxtapose it with the Curtain Call, which was 100% I mean, that pissed off Gerry Brisco,\” Punk said. \”I would be curious to have anybody try to explain to me how those two things are similar, because they’re drastically, drastically different, right?”

Punk explained that his goal was not to expose the business, but to use real-life issues and sentiments that fans were already aware of and incorporate them into a televised storyline for the first time.

“I took what I knew smart fans to think was taboo, and said things on television that nobody had ever said before in a context within a storyline, right?\” he explained. \”I did not beat anybody over the head with exposing the business… That, to me, proves how powerful a moment of what I did was, because it’s still almost misunderstood.”

  • Cody Rhodes On The Rock: \”I Consider Him Always There\”

Cody Rhodes has commented on the status of Dwayne \”The Rock\” Johnson, stating that while he considers \”The Final Boss\” to always be a part of WWE, fans should let him have his moment in Hollywood.

Speaking with Gabby LaSpisa on Gabby AF, Rhodes was asked about a potential return for The Rock. He expressed his support for The Rock\’s current focus on his acting career.

“Right now, what he’s doing, people need to let him have his moment. Working with (Martin) Scorsese, Smashing Machine, he’s really going for it,\” Rhodes said. \”As a wrestler, love or hate, you enjoy that. You see that and go, ‘Get this done.\’\”

Rhodes clarified that just because The Rock isn\’t on television, it doesn\’t mean he isn\’t part of the company, citing his role on the TKO Board of Directors. \”I consider him always there just because he is truly on the board and massive part of our world,\” he said. The Rock\’s last on-screen appearance was at the Elimination Chamber event, where his actions led to John Cena\’s heel turn against Rhodes.

While The Rock\’s return to television is uncertain, his family\’s story is a central focus in WWE. The ongoing civil war within The Bloodline will see his cousins, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, reunite at SummerSlam this weekend to take on the faction now led by Solo Sikoa. Many fans continue to speculate that \”The Final Boss\” could eventually return to get involved in the family drama.

  • Charlotte Flair Names Her Greatest Rival In WWE

In a unique new interview with Netflix, Charlotte Flair has named her greatest rival from her storied career. While answering rapid-fire questions on a roller coaster, \”The Queen\” revealed that she considers fellow Four Horsewoman, Becky Lynch, to be her top adversary.

Flair has faced a who\’s who of top stars over the past decade, but when asked during the chaotic interview to name her greatest rival, she gave a definitive answer after a moment of panic from the ride itself. “I don’t know. Oh my God. Oh sh*t. I think Becky Lynch,” Flair said.

The rivalry between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch is one of the most significant in the history of WWE\’s women\’s division. As two of the Four Horsewomen who helped usher in the Women\’s Revolution, their careers have been intertwined. They have gone from best friends to bitter enemies, culminating in their history-making triple-threat match against Ronda Rousey in the main event of WrestleMania 35.

While Flair reflected on her greatest singles rivalry, her focus tonight is on tag team gold. On Night One of the two-night SummerSlam premium live event at MetLife Stadium, Charlotte Flair will team up with her current partner, Alexa Bliss, to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships.

  • CM Punk Takes Massive Shots At Seth Rollins And Drew McIntyre

On the eve of his World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam, CM Punk took some major verbal shots at his rivals, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. During an appearance on the SummerSlam kickoff show, Punk dismissed his past feuds as personal and petty, while praising his upcoming bout with GUNTHER as \”strictly business.\”

When discussing his mindset for the title match, Punk contrasted it with his previous programs. He made it clear he views his past opponents as children who hold onto petty grievances.

“For the first time, I’m staring across the ring from a competitor and it’s not personal — it’s strictly business,\” Punk said. \”It’s not some crying little pss baby whining about something that happened when they were 16, or mad that I moved their shoes in the locker room back in 2009, or whatever else these infantile little btches complained about when it comes to CM Punk.\”

Punk explained that his match against GUNTHER feels different, comparing the focus on pure competition to his famed \”Summer of Punk\” eras in Ring of Honor and WWE. \”Tomorrow night, CM Punk vs. GUNTHER is about competition. It reminds me of the Summer of Punk — 2005 and 2011,” he stated.

Punk\’s comments set the stage for his massive championship match tonight on Night One of SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium. He will challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship in what is expected to be one of the main events of the weekend. According to the final betting odds, Punk is a slight favorite to defeat \”The Ring General\” and capture his first world title since returning to WWE.

  • Brie Bella Confirms WWE SummerSlam Status

After weeks of speculation about a potential return, Brie Bella has confirmed that she will be in attendance for Night One of the WWE SummerSlam premium live event tonight, joining her twin sister, Nikki Bella.

Speaking on their Nikki and Brie podcast, the WWE Hall of Famers confirmed they will both be at MetLife Stadium for the show. Nikki noted that they plan to watch from the crowd, joking that she hopes her sister doesn\’t go into \”Brie Mode.\”

“We’re all going to be watching Saturday. Brie and I are actually going to be in the crowd. Hopefully, she won’t be in Brie Mode,” Nikki said. Brie added that she was personally invited and will be watching from a suite with \”free alcohol.\”

The confirmation of Brie\’s attendance comes after she recently stated on her podcast that she believed her husband, Bryan Danielson, working for AEW was a \”roadblock\” to her making an in-ring return to WWE. Her appearance at a major WWE event, even as a spectator, is sure to fuel more speculation about a potential Bella Twins reunion in the future.

While Brie will be in the crowd, her sister Nikki has been active on the Raw brand, recently forming an unexpected partnership with the winner of the Evolution Battle Royal, Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer is scheduled to challenge for a world championship at the upcoming Clash in Paris event. Brie\’s presence at SummerSlam will surely lead to more questions about a potential Bella Twins reunion and how that might affect Nikki\’s new alliance.

  • Swerve Strickland Confirms When He Plans To Retire

AEW star Swerve Strickland has confirmed his future plans in professional wrestling, stating in a new interview that he intends to retire when his current multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling expires in 2029.

While speaking to Wrestle Figure News, Strickland was asked if he was serious about his new five-year contract, which he signed in 2024, being his last. He confirmed that is the case and explained his loyalty to AEW.

“I meant every word. I’ve never lied to the fans about that kind of stuff,\” Swerve said. \”Honestly, I don’t want to give my talent, my ability, my mind, my body, or my soul to anyone else. I want to give all of that to AEW, because they’ve given me everything I need.”

Strickland elaborated on what motivates him, stating that he is driven by the challenge of helping AEW grow in every aspect. He also noted his interest in a future backstage role where he can help mentor talent and explore new ideas.

“I don’t want to be just a part in the machine—I want to help run it,\” he explained. \”But the cool thing is, I can still be hands-on. I can still be with the people, helping, teaching, exploring new ideas. Not just repeating what’s always been done, but crafting new ways and exploring uncharted territory.”

Strickland\’s long-term commitment to AEW comes as he is positioned for a major championship opportunity. At the All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12, he and Will Ospreay defeated The Young Bucks in a high-stakes match. The victory now allows Strickland to challenge for the AEW World Championship, currently held by \”Hangman\” Adam Page, whenever he chooses.

  • Charlotte Flair Says She \’Lost The Importance\’ Of What Made Her Special

Charlotte Flair has been enjoying a renewed connection with the WWE fans in recent weeks, and in a new interview, she has opened up about the personal shift that has led to this change in her on-screen character.

Speaking with Fightful, \”The Queen\” explained that for years, she felt she lost what originally made her character connect with the audience. She believed that trying to be \”untouchable\” and \”perfect\” ultimately disconnected her from the fans.

“I think I’ve kind of over the years lost the importance of what made Charlotte special. I thought it was being untouchable,\” Flair said. \”Charlotte was in her own box trying to be perfect all the time and [I think] that disconnected her from the audience.”

Flair continued by saying that embracing her real-life struggles and being more open has allowed her to reconnect with the fans. \”With everything that I’ve been through personally that I’ve tried to hide or not talk about or pretend wasn’t happening, was really what made my character so tough,\” she explained. \”It was like, you know what, these scars or trauma or whatever I’ve been through is what has made her special. Owning that and opening up… Really, that’s all it took was to be yourself, not pretending to be some perfect queen. It’s been great.”

Flair\’s new perspective will be on display this weekend as she steps onto one of wrestling\’s biggest stages. At the two-night SummerSlam premium live event, she is scheduled to team up with her new partner, Alexa Bliss, to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships.

  • WWE Reportedly Has \’Major Player\’ Plans For El Grande Americano In AAA

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed light on the creative plans for the El Grande Americano character in Lucha Libre AAA. The report indicates that the masked superstar is set to be positioned as a \”major player\” in the Mexican promotion, rather than a comedy act.

In the latest edition of the newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported on the future of the character as the WWE and AAA partnership continues. \”More WWE wrestlers will appear on AAA shows. Grande Americano now speaks and sings in Spanish and will be there as a major player and not a comedy figure,” Meltzer wrote. This was on display during his recent AAA debut, where he was cheered after singing the popular song ‘Cielito Lindo.’

The El Grande Americano persona was originated by Chad Gable before he was sidelined with a rotator cuff injury. In his absence, WWE Raw superstar Ludwig Kaiser has been portraying the character, including making the well-received debut in AAA. The storyline took another twist on this past week\’s Raw, when Pete Dunne appeared in a different mask, adding more mystery to the situation.

The plan to position El Grande Americano as a major player will be put to the test at AAA\’s biggest show of the year. On August 16th at Triplemania XXXIII, he is scheduled to compete in a four-way match for the AAA Mega Championship against the champion, El Hijo del Vikingo, and fellow WWE superstars Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee.

  • R-Truth Reveals Scrapped Pitch For John Cena Feud

WWE superstar R-Truth has revealed a scrapped creative pitch that would have seen John Cena play a pivotal role in his recent character change. The veteran star wanted the 17-time world champion to be the one to cut off his iconic dreadlocks.

Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, R-Truth explained that he had pitched for John Cena to be the one to cut his hair on television, an idea that ultimately did not happen. “(I was) actually trying to get (John) Cena to cut my hair. For real,” he said. The haircut was part of a repackaging for Truth after he was briefly let go by WWE in June, only to be brought back less than a week later after a massive fan and peer outcry.

Truth also shared a humorous anecdote about a joke from Triple H that spurred him on. He recounted Triple H joking about his and Cena\’s hairlines, saying, “Oh, we can [tell you apart]. One’s going bald on the top and one’s going bald on the front.” Truth said the joke was so funny that it sealed his decision to go through with the haircut. \”It felt good cutting it, dog. I got the reaction I want. I got that emotion from people that I want,\” he said.

While the pitch for Cena to be involved in the haircut was scrapped, the two were briefly involved in a program upon Truth\’s return, with Cena criticizing fans for wanting Truth back. R-Truth is now in a feud with Aleister Black on Friday Night SmackDown, while John Cena is scheduled to defend his WWE Title against Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight at SummerSlam this Sunday.

  • Cody Rhodes on The Montreal Screwjob: “I Have Questions”

Cody Rhodes has added a new layer of intrigue to one of the most infamous incidents in wrestling history, revealing that he has a conspiracy theory that the Montreal Screwjob may have been a work.

The Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series 1997, which saw Vince McMahon conspire with Shawn Michaels to take the WWE Championship from Bret Hart, has long been accepted as a legitimate, unscripted event. However, while speaking on The Ringer, Rhodes explained that the unprecedented presence of a documentary crew backstage at a WWE event makes him question the official story.

\”Whenever I tell somebody high level confidential stuff, I use Chris, who\’s in the corner, has probably heard me say this. I say Bret-Shawn level. I have never heard from either that it wasn\’t as real as it possibly could get, and maybe it was. It certainly ended up being real, no doubt, however, I have questions. There was a documentary crew backstage at a company that never, ever allows anything like that. There\’s mics in the room.\”

Rhodes, who grew up in the business as the son of Dusty Rhodes, explained his belief in the \”work within the work,\” suggesting that making something appear real on a show that is otherwise scripted is the ultimate form of performance. He even suggested that Vince McMahon getting punched by Bret Hart could have been a necessary part of the deception if it was planned.

\”My position, to me, is always the work within the work. And Sean, Sean Michaels was my favorite wrestler growing up… then you get to him and Hogan, when they wrestled SummerSlam, and they\’re like, \’Oh, you can tell he\’s mad at Hogan\’… But is he or is this just seemed like the one real thing on the show where you knew everything else was fictional… We\’re talking about, you saw Rhea and Bianca talking about, there\’s no way to pull that. It\’s coming. It\’s coming… If the whole thing was a work from beginning, and yeah, then part of it is he has to hit him.\”

The aftermath of the Montreal Screwjob had massive, real-world consequences, including Bret Hart\’s departure for WCW and the birth of the villainous \”Mr. McMahon\” character, which became a cornerstone of the Attitude Era. Despite being dissected for nearly 30 years, Cody Rhodes\’ theory adds a fresh perspective on the controversy from one of today\’s top stars.

  • WWE Considering AAA Title Win For Dominik Mysterio

Following his shocking appearance for Lucha Libre AAA, a new report suggests that WWE has major plans for Dominik Mysterio in the Mexican promotion, which could see him capture their top championship.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, WWE is considering having Dominik Mysterio win the AAA Mega Championship. His surprise appearance at the recent AAA Alianzas event, where he declared his intention to challenge for the title, was met with a \”rousing ovation\” from the crowd, with WWE\’s Big E calling the moment \”incredible\” on social media.

The current AAA Mega Champion, Hijo del Vikingo, is now set to defend his title against a trio of WWE-contracted superstars. At the AAA Triplemania XXXIII event on August 16, he will face Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano in a high-stakes four-way match for the championship.

Before he gets his opportunity to potentially win a second championship, Dominik Mysterio must first focus on defending the one he already has. \”Dirty Dom\” is scheduled to put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line this weekend at the two-night SummerSlam premium live event against \”The Phenomenal\” AJ Styles.

  • Cody Rhodes Builds His Ultimate Pro Wrestler Using Legends And Current Star

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently sat down for a fiery interview where he was asked to construct his \”ultimate pro wrestler\” by selecting different superstars for various key attributes. His selections included a mix of Hall of Fame legends and one \”super controversial choice\” from the current roster.

Appearing on the popular YouTube show Hot Ones, Rhodes began his build by selecting the look. In a move he predicted would get a \”collective groan\” from wrestling social media, he chose a young, up-and-coming superstar.

For the other categories, Rhodes looked to some of the most iconic names in wrestling history, selecting from a pool of legends that included his former rival, his mentor, and two of the biggest stars of the Attitude Era.

“Look. I’m going to make a super controversial choice. People right now, you’re going to hear the collective groan of wrestling social media and the IWC. Look, I’m going with a young guy, Austin Theory. When you check the box of oh, he looks great, we could teach him. Mic skills, they need edge. Yeah, they need 8 Mile. They need you to bring it down. And you have to be sharper than that person. I’d probably say, a combination, and you can pick either or, of a John Cena, who will never allow someone to top him, or a Mr. Heyman. Because that’s a different level of thought. Everything you’re saying is mattering in this moment. He’s judging you. He’s also enjoying it. He’s also planning for you. By the time I’m done with this sentence, he’s got a path for me. And I’m either with him or against him. Technical wrestling, probably Bret Hart. It wasn’t just the moves. It was the punches, the forearms. The best finishing move. I’d say it’s probably a tossup between Stone Cold Stunner and Hogan’s leg drop.”

  • Hulk Hogan\’s Cause Of Death Revealed

The official cause of death for legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan has been revealed one week after his unexpected passing. According to medical records, the iconic superstar died from a heart attack.

The records from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, first reported by the New York Post\’s Page Six, also shed new light on previously undisclosed health battles that \”The Hulkster\” was facing. Hogan, Terry Bollea, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71.

The medical examiner\’s report rules Hogan\’s manner of death as natural. The specific cause is listed as an acute myocardial infarction, the medical term for a heart attack.

The report also reveals that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rhythm. In another surprising revelation, the records show that Hogan had a history of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, a type of cancer affecting white blood cells. This diagnosis was not previously known to the public.

Hogan’s death came as a shock to the world, despite recent speculation about his declining health following a major neck surgery in May. The official records confirm that he went into cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. He was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office confirmed that they had received and approved a request for cremation. However, no details on when that will take place have been made public.

  • CM Punk Calls The Elimination Chamber \’Possibly The Stupidest Match We Do Here\’

In the new \”WWE: Unreal\” docuseries on Netflix, CM Punk did not hold back in his assessment of one of WWE\’s most dangerous match types, calling the Elimination Chamber \”possibly the stupidest match we do here.\”

While discussing the match on the recently released series, Punk gave a blunt and critical review of the \”demonic structure.\” He explained that due to its unforgiving nature, it is impossible to properly prepare for.

“You can’t prepare for an Elimination Chamber match. It’s possibly the stupidest match we do here,\” Punk said. \”The structure is unforgiving, not in a PR way, in a, ‘it hurts like hell and it doesn’t move and it doesn’t make any noise.’ It’s your worst enemy. Whoever designed this really doesn’t like human beings, or at least us.”

CM Punk\’s harsh critique comes from a place of experience. He has competed inside the Elimination Chamber five times during his WWE career, including a match at the premium live event in Perth, Australia, earlier this year. The match has become a staple on the road to WrestleMania.

While Punk may not be a fan of the unforgiving steel of the Elimination Chamber, he is now preparing for a different kind of challenge this weekend at SummerSlam. \”The Best in the World\” is scheduled to face \”The Ring General\” GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship.

  • CM Punk Blind Ranks Ten WWE Stars

While on a recent media tour to promote the \”WWE: Unreal\” docuseries, CM Punk participated in a \”blind ranking\” of ten current and legendary WWE stars. The final list, revealed by content creator Allenownz, featured some surprising placements, including his own rivals at the bottom and The Miz at the very top.

The blind ranking format requires the person to place a name on the list from one to ten without knowing who the other names will be. After placing stars like John Cena at number four and Roman Reigns at number six, Punk reluctantly put Drew McIntyre in the number two spot. This left the final remaining name, The Miz, to default into the number one position on the list.

The full blind ranking is as follows:

    1. The Miz
    2. Drew McIntyre
    3. Cody Rhodes
    4. John Cena
    5. Bryan Danielson
    6. Roman Reigns
    7. The Rock
    8. Bray Wyatt
    9. Seth Rollins
    10. Goldberg

During the ranking process, Punk offered some specific thoughts. He placed the late Bray Wyatt at number eight, noting that his career and life were \”cut way too short.\” Conversely, he had no trouble placing his longtime rivals Seth Rollins and Goldberg at the bottom of the list, slotting them in at the number nine and number ten spots, respectively.

Punk\’s ranking of his peers comes just days before he has a chance to further solidify his own legacy. This coming weekend at the two-night SummerSlam premium live event, CM Punk is scheduled to challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship in one of the weekend\’s main events.
