  • AEW World Championship Match Set For Forbidden Door

The main event for the upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view is now official. On tonight\’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that \”Hangman\” Adam Page will defend the AEW World Championship against his longtime rival, MJF.

The match was made during a tense face-to-face confrontation between the champion and the challenger in the middle of the ring. MJF officially announced that he will be executing the contract he earned for a guaranteed World Title shot at the pay-per-view event in London.

MJF won the contract by winning the Casino Gauntlet match at the All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12. Since then, he has engaged in a war of words with Page, stating his desire to win the title from him without needing the contract, a challenge Page repeatedly refused.

The championship match is a rematch of their previous encounter at the Revolution pay-per-view in March 2025. The rivalry between the two AEW \”pillars\” has been one of the central stories in the company for years.

The build to this match has been intensely personal. After defeating Page\’s friend, Mark Briscoe, in a controversial finish last week, MJF and Page brawled to close out Dynamite, setting the stage for tonight\’s official challenge.

The AEW World Championship match is the latest addition to a stacked card for the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view. The event will take place on Sunday, August 24, from Wembley Stadium in London, England.

“Have you ever taken like a hot pocket and put in the microwave for 3 or 4 minutes? Maybe that was too long… the heat is exploding and there’s just too much pressure and a small box of microwave Hot Pocket explodes everywhere,\” Moxley said. \”That is basically what’s going to happen in the Brady Center tomorrow night and Thursday night.\”

Moxley described how the venue \”transforms… into a gladiatorial arena\” for wrestling, creating a \”very, very intense atmosphere.\” He also spoke about the pride he takes in performing in his hometown and his promise to always bring something extra for the Cincinnati fans.

“It’s a shame that it’s the second… the first was a long time ago, and now it’s a beautiful thing to finally see Evolution 2,\” she stated. \”I hope on everything, there needs to be an annual one. This is the women’s WrestleMania. It should be treated as such.”

Melina also had high praise for the current roster of female superstars who competed on the show. \”They contributed to such an amazing show, and it wouldn’t be anything if it wasn’t for them… They made this show happen, and I hope they take so much pride in this.”

Big E praised the veteran for continuing to evolve after a nearly 20-year career on the main roster. \”For her to still add wrinkles to her game and show different dimensions. Although we’ve seen a lot of that outside of WWE, I would love to see elements of that here as well. I’m intrigued to see if things progress with Nattie and with Becky.”

Throughout 2025, Natalya has competed for several promotions outside of WWE as part of the company\’s new partnership initiatives. As \”Nattie Neidhart,\” she recently picked up a victory over TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich at Josh Barnett\’s Bloodsport XIV on August 2nd, keeping her record in the shoot-style promotion undefeated.

While speaking with TVInsider, Bliss was asked about the formation of her team with \”The Queen.\” She explained that while the pairing was not something that was planned long-term, it has been an enjoyable experience that has allowed fans to see a different side of both superstars.

“It came about very randomly, but it has been so much fun,\” Bliss said. \”It’s fun to see a different side of both of us. We’re just out there having fun and trying what works and seeing what doesn’t. It has just been showing a side of Charlotte that people don’t normally get to see.”

The \”fun\” pairing has already resulted in championship gold. At the SummerSlam premium live event this past weekend, Bliss and Flair defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez to capture the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships. It marks the first time the two multi-time world champions have held tag team gold together.

  • Swerve Strickland On Hangman Page Feud: \”I Put Our Story Against Any Story In Wrestling History\”

AEW star Swerve Strickland has reflected on his epic, year-long feud with the current AEW World Champion, \”Hangman\” Adam Page. In a new interview, Strickland boldly stated that he would put their story \”against any story in wrestling history.\”

Speaking on That Hashtag Show, Strickland explained why he feels his rivalry with Page stands out. He believes the story was deeply personal and based on the \”vulnerability\” of \”two flawed men.\”

“I put our story against any story in wrestling history, honestly, because it’s just two men,\” Swerve said. \”When Hangman’s in the ring, you hear, ‘Who’s house? Swerve’s house’ chants. When Swerve’s in the ring, you hear ‘Cowboy s**t’ chants… Our whole story was based on vulnerability.”

The feud between the two was one of the most intense and violent in AEW history, spanning from late 2023 to its culmination at the All Out pay-per-view in September 2024. The rivalry saw both men reach incredible highs and lows, including a memorable and shocking angle where Page burned down Swerve\’s house.

Strickland explained the depth of the story, which started with Page at a low point in his career. \”It was about Hangman winning a Battle Royal at All Out in 2023. It was like, ‘Dude, what are you doing celebrating winning a charity Battle Royal in the pre-show? This whole company was built off of you,\’\” Strickland recalled. \”Him coming from a low… and then falling so low, and then coming right back up and then, negativity is kind of what inspired him and brought him back.\”

The rivalry came full circle at the All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12. During the main event, Swerve Strickland interfered on Page\’s behalf, helping his former nemesis defeat Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship.

  • John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar Reportedly Set For September WWE PLE

The date for the next chapter in the legendary rivalry between John Cena and the returning Brock Lesnar has reportedly been set. According to a new report, the two icons will face off at a WWE premium live event in September.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the match between Cena and Lesnar is scheduled for the yet-to-be-announced WWE premium live event on Saturday, September 20. The show is slated to take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, on the same night as AEW\’s All Out pay-per-view.

The feud between the two was reignited at the conclusion of SummerSlam on August 3, when Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE after a two-year absence. \”The Beast Incarnate\” stormed the ring after Cena\’s Street Fight with Cody Rhodes and laid him out with a devastating F5.

The match is another major stop on John Cena\’s year-long retirement tour. Before he gets to his showdown with Lesnar, Cena has another match scheduled. At the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31, he is set to go one-on-one with former United States Champion Logan Paul.

  • Lola Vice Reportedly Signs New Contract With WWE

A new report from PWInsider has confirmed that rising NXT star and former MMA fighter Lola Vice has signed a new contract to remain with WWE. The deal was reportedly finalized before her previous contract was set to expire this summer.

According to the report, Vice\’s existing deal was scheduled to expire soon, but the company moved to get a new agreement \”locked in\” before that could happen. The length and terms of the new contract have not yet been disclosed.

Vice, 27, first signed with WWE in the summer of 2022 following a successful tryout, leaving behind a 4-1 professional record in Bellator MMA.

In her time with the company, Vice has become one of the breakout stars of the NXT women\’s division. In 2023, she won the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, which earned her a future championship opportunity. She has also been featured on the main roster, most recently as a participant in the 20-woman Battle Royal at the WWE Evolution premium live event last month.

As part of WWE\’s partnership with AAA, Vice has also been making appearances for the promotion. Her work in both companies highlights her rising stock as a valuable performer for WWE\’s present and future.

  • Naomi Not Medically Cleared, WWE Raw Title Match Canceled

In a major breaking news announcement just hours before showtime, WWE has announced that Women\’s World Champion Naomi is not medically cleared to compete on tonight\’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Her scheduled championship match against IYO SKY has been canceled.

The company made the announcement via its official social media channels on Monday afternoon. The brief statement confirmed the champion is unable to compete and that the story is still developing.

\”BREAKING NEWS: Naomi is not medically cleared to compete and therefore her scheduled match against Iyo Sky will not take place tonight on Monday Night Raw,\” the post read. \”Tune into tonight for continuing coverage on this developing story.\”

The bout was scheduled to be the main event of tonight\’s show from Quebec City. It would have been Naomi\’s first defense of the Women\’s World Championship since she successfully retained the title in a chaotic triple-threat match against both IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley at the SummerSlam premium live event over a week ago.

IYO SKY was granted this one-on-one rematch by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce because she was not the person who was pinned in the SummerSlam match. The nature and severity of Naomi\’s injury are not yet known.

The news that Naomi is not medically cleared puts her next scheduled title defense in serious question. The new Women\’s World Champion is slated to defend her title against Stephanie Vaquer, the winner of the Evolution Battle Royal, at the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31.

  • Nikki Bella Admits Being Surprised By Becky Lynch\’s John Cena Line

Nikki Bella has responded to the \”insane burn\” she received from Becky Lynch on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw, where Lynch brought up Bella\’s past breakup with John Cena. In a surprising reaction, the WWE Hall of Famer said she \”actually loves it.\”

On the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki discussed the promo, which many fans and media outlets have called the \”best burn of the year.\” Despite the personal nature of the comments, she is embracing the moment.

“What’s crazy is people are calling it the best promo of the year. Becky burned me, lit me up, and everyone’s saying it’s the best burn of the year,\” Nikki said. \”It’s wild how much media it’s gotten — but these are the moments we want, right? That burn was funny because I actually love it.\”

Nikki revealed that her \”Bella Army\” of fans has been sending her comeback lines, and she is saving them for the right moment. She also teased that the personal nature of the feud might force her to revert to her old heel persona.

\”Being in this underdog spot is exciting — the only expectation is to show up, give my best, impress the crowd, and fight for it,\” she said. \”Someone else wrote, ‘I need Nikki to bring back her heel Divas champ vibe.’ Just keep watching. That’s all I’m going to say. Just keep watching.”

The heated exchange has set the stage for a major feud between the two multi-time champions on Monday Night Raw. It is expected that the rivalry between Lynch and Bella will build towards a high-profile match at the upcoming Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31. The full conversation can be heard on the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie Show.

  • WWE To Counter-Program AEW All Out With Main Roster PLE

After running three live events against AEW\’s All In weekend in July, WWE is reportedly set to continue its aggressive counter-programming strategy this fall. A new report from POST Wrestling has revealed that WWE will run a premium live event on Saturday, September 20, the same day as AEW\’s All Out pay-per-view.

The report, which cites multiple sources with knowledge of WWE\’s schedule, confirmed the plans for the head-to-head showdown.

“POST Wrestling spoke with multiple sources with knowledge of the WWE event schedule, who confirmed that a yet-to-be-announced PLE (premium live event) will take place on Saturday, September 20, in Indianapolis, Indiana,\” the report stated. \”The date coincides with AEW’s All Out pay-per-view scheduled for the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and represents the first time a WWE main roster PLE will air the same day as an AEW pay-per-view.”

While WWE\’s NXT brand has run premium live events on the same day as AEW shows in the past, this marks a significant escalation as it is the first time a main roster WWE PLE will be in direct competition with an AEW pay-per-view.

The decision to hold the event in Indianapolis is part of a larger, multi-year partnership between WWE and the Indiana Sports Corp. The deal, announced in 2024, has already brought the Royal Rumble to the state and includes plans for future WrestleMania and SummerSlam events to be held in the city.

The decision by WWE to run a premium live event on September 20th sets up a major head-to-head showdown for wrestling fans. While WWE\’s show will be in Indianapolis, AEW\’s All Out is taking place in Toronto, Canada. Fans will now be faced with a choice of which major event to watch live on a packed Saturday night of wrestling. The full report on WWE\’s event schedule can be found on POSTwrestling.com.

  • TKO President Mark Shapiro Declares The Pay-Per-View Model A \’Thing Of The Past\’

TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro has declared the pay-per-view model \”outdated\” and a \”thing of the past.\” His comments come on the heels of a new seven-year media rights agreement that will see the UFC move all of its premium events to the Paramount+ streaming service.

In a new interview with CNBC, Shapiro explained the company\’s strategy of moving away from the traditional pay-per-view model in favor of a subscription-based streaming service for its biggest events.

“The pay-per-view model is a thing of the past. What’s on pay-per-view anymore? Boxing? Movies on DirecTV? It’s an outdated, antiquated model,\” Shapiro said. \”So, it was paramount to us – forgive the pun – where it’s one-stop shopping, especially for our younger fans in flyover states. When they find out, ‘Wait, if I just sign up for Paramount+ for $12.99 a month, I’m going to automatically get UFC’s numbered fights and the rest of the portfolio?’ That’s a message we want to amplify.”

The new agreement between TKO\’s UFC and Paramount will begin in 2026. It will see all UFC numbered events and Fight Nights stream live on Paramount+ at no additional cost for subscribers in the United States, with select marquee fights also being simulcast on CBS.

This move follows a similar landmark deal for TKO\’s other major property, WWE. It was recently announced that all of WWE\’s Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania and SummerSlam, will be moving exclusively to ESPN\’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform in the U.S., also beginning in 2026.

Shapiro\’s comments and the new deals for both UFC and WWE signal a complete shift in TKO\’s distribution strategy, moving away from the pay-per-view model that defined both combat sports and professional wrestling for decades. By placing their premium content on major streaming services like Paramount+ and ESPN, TKO is betting on the subscription model to grow its audience and secure massive, guaranteed revenue for years to come. The full interview with Mark Shapiro can be seen on CNBC.

He also made a point to praise the art of technical tag team wrestling, naming both current and legendary teams. \”I personally love tag team technical wrestling. I think FTR are great technicians. I grew up on the Midnight Express and Rock ’n’ Roll Express, and some great tag teams.”

Khan was also asked to list some of his favorite wrestlers who are not currently working for All Elite Wrestling. He once again named NJPW\’s technical wizard, along with top stars from Stardom and CMLL.

“Zack Sabre Jr. — he’d be very high on the list. Starlight Kid is very good. Aumi is very good,\” Khan stated. \”Mistico is one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. He’s been around since I was in college. I got really into CMLL in the early 2000s.”

  • John Cena Names His Six \’Wrestling Soulmates\’

John Cena has revealed the list of superstars he considers to be his \”wrestling soulmates,\” naming the opponents with whom he had the best chemistry throughout his iconic, 20-plus year career.

While speaking at the Boston Fan Expo, in a Q&A transcribed by The Boston Herald, Cena was asked to name his wrestling soulmates. He listed several of his most famous rivals before adding his most recent adversary to the list.

“I have a few wrestling soulmates,” said Cena. “Those are Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles. But gosh, I can’t take any shine away from Cody Rhodes – add him, too.”

The list includes a who\’s who of WWE legends from Cena\’s era, many of whom he has faced during his year-long retirement tour. The inclusion of Cody Rhodes is particularly noteworthy, as their rivalry has been the centerpiece of Cena\’s final run.

Cena\’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber was orchestrated to set up his program with Rhodes, which saw Cena win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. Rhodes ultimately won the title back in a brutal Street Fight in the main event of SummerSlam last weekend.

John Cena is currently in the final months of his legendary career, with his retirement set for December. His next major match is scheduled for the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31, where he is set to go one-on-one with Logan Paul.

  • Backstage Update On Jack Perry\’s AEW Status

A new report has provided an update on the status of former TNT Champion Jack Perry, suggesting that he \”could be on the way back\” to All Elite Wrestling after a nine-month absence from television.

During a Fightful Select Answers Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Jack Perry\’s status. Sapp noted that while he hasn\’t heard anything definitive, there has been some discussion that the AEW original \”could be on the way back\” to the company.

This follows a report from WrestleVotes in July which stated that Perry had been backstage at recent AEW television tapings and was said to be in good spirits. It is believed that Perry has not been dealing with an injury and has simply been at home during his time away from the ring.

Perry has not appeared on AEW programming since he lost the TNT Championship to Daniel Garcia at the Full Gear pay-per-view in November 2024. His last official match was in January of this year, when he unsuccessfully challenged Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at the Wrestle Dynasty event.

As an \”AEW original\” who signed with the company in January 2019, Perry has had a decorated career. In addition to his reign as TNT Champion, he is also a former FTW Champion and a former AEW World Tag Team Champion with his previous partner, Luchasaurus.

  • GUNTHER Says Working Under Vince McMahon Was A \’Losing Game\’

Former World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER has opened up about the difference between working under Vince McMahon versus the current creative leadership of Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque, calling the old way a \”losing game.\”

During an appearance on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, \”The Ring General\” explained his frustration with the previous creative regime, where one person had the ultimate say on a superstar\’s career.

“I feel like Vince [McMahon] was always kinda big on, ‘You gotta want it, you gotta give everything for it,’ and I always felt like if you invest your whole life into something that can only be decided by one person’s decision at the end of the day, that’s like a losing game,” GUNTHER said.

He contrasted that experience with the current environment, which he described as a \”healthy culture shift in the business now.\” Under the leadership of Triple H, GUNTHER has become one of the most dominant names on the WWE roster, holding the World Heavyweight Championship twice.

His success in the new era has been undeniable. He was chosen to be the opponent for Goldberg\’s retirement match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event. In addition, the host of the podcast, The Undertaker, recently stated that if he were to ever come out of retirement for one more match, GUNTHER would be the opponent he would choose.

  • John Cena Is Keeping His Post-SummerSlam Conversation With Cody Rhodes Private

Following their brutal Street Fight in the main event of SummerSlam last weekend, John Cena has commented on the private conversation he had in the ring with the new Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. While Cena is keeping the details to himself, fan speculation is running rampant.

In a new interview with Adam\’s Apple, the 17-time World Champion was asked what he said to Rhodes after the match. Cena made it clear that he intends to keep that moment between the two of them.

“If the world finds out about it, they won’t find out about it from me because that was between me and him.”

Despite Cena\’s vow of silence, fans on social media have been trying to figure out what was said. Lip-readers have analyzed the footage, with one popular theory suggesting that Cena told his successor, “That’s the best I got. You just beat the real John Cena.”

The emotional moment came after a brutal Street Fight that saw Rhodes finally defeat Cena to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. The match was the culmination of their long rivalry that began at WrestleMania 41 and was one of the final main events of Cena\’s year-long retirement tour.

  • D-Von Dudley Calls WWE Spot One Of His \’Most Embarrassing Moments\’

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has reflected on his legendary career full of broken tables, recalling a specific moment involving Kane that he considers to be one of his most embarrassing.

In a new video posted to his YouTube channel, D-Von discussed some of his most iconic table bumps. He singled out a moment where he was chokeslammed through a table by fellow Hall of Famer, Kane.

“Sometimes you just have to embarrass yourself on your own channel. And this me getting my ass kicked by Kane, is probably that most embarrassing moment, one of the most embarrassing moments,\” Dudley said. \”The man Chokeslammed me through a table, and my leg is shaking like there’s no tomorrow. I was flopping like a little fish. Kane, I loved working with him. I always put people over on my YouTube channel.”

D-Von went on to explain the physical reality of taking that specific bump, rating it a five out of ten and calling it one of the toughest of his career.

“Did it hurt? Yes, it did,\” he stated. \”It did hurt, especially when you have that table on the ground. Even though that black mat is underneath there, that’s still cement, and with the force of your body weight going through that table, the table breaks the fall by that much, and the mat, even smaller.\”

He added, “I’m gonna say that table bump hurt, but not enough to where I was maimed or I couldn’t work the next day. It just put shock waves through my body… Probably the hardest, toughest bump I ever took, especially coming from a seven-foot giant such as Kane.”

D-Von also explained that he had a great career and was always in the ring with \”true professionals that took care of me.\” He made it clear that he refuses to \”bury people\” on his channel and has nothing but respect for the opponents he faced.

Speaking on SEN Sporting Capital, McIntyre expressed his desire to be one of the final opponents of Cena\’s legendary career. The event in Perth on October 11 is one of the dozen appearances Cena has left before his retirement in December.

“John Cena, that would be a fun match in Perth. I need to get one of those last matches,\” McIntyre said. \”I’ll be very happy to send him right into retirement. He’s doing a great job in Hollywood. Peacemaker is amazing. I’ll be happy to kick him out the door and continue the good work he’s doing outside of the company.”

McIntyre also took a shot at Cena\’s recent character shift, referencing his apparent return to his classic babyface persona on last week\’s episode of SmackDown after a five-month run as a heel. \”Now that he’s Super Cena again, I don’t want any part of these last six months. What a waste of time,\” McIntyre joked.

A one-on-one match between the two would be a first-time-ever encounter on a premium live event. While they have shared the ring in multi-man matches in the past, they have never had a major singles program, making it a dream match for many WWE fans.

  • Update On The Status Of WWE\’s Planned European Brand

A new report has provided a discouraging update on the long-planned NXT Europe brand, suggesting that the project may have been quietly shelved by WWE. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, internal talk about the proposed brand has completely ceased.

In the newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported on the current status of the project, which was intended to be the successor to NXT UK. His report indicates that the brand is no longer a topic of discussion within the company. “In WWE, virtually all talk about NXT Europe is non-existent.”

NXT Europe was first announced in August 2022, and the existing NXT UK brand was officially closed down to make way for the new, pan-continental project. The goal was to recruit and develop talent from all over Europe to create a new pipeline to the main roster. The launch has been repeatedly delayed for several years.

This new report that the brand is no longer being discussed internally contradicts previous claims from Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque, who had stated in the past that NXT Europe was still in the works despite the long delays. The project\’s future now appears to be in serious doubt.

The report that NXT Europe is no longer being discussed internally suggests a potential shift in WWE\’s global expansion strategy. While a company-owned European brand may not be a current priority, WWE has found great success in forming partnerships with established international promotions like TNA Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA in Mexico, and Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. These relationships have allowed WWE to feature global talent without the need for a dedicated overseas brand. The full report can be found in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

  • AEW All In: Texas Buyrate Higher Than Originally Estimated

A new report has provided an updated pay-per-view buyrate for the AEW All In: Texas event from July 12, and the number is even higher than first estimated. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the show is now estimated to have done between 180,000 to 185,000 buys.

This new estimate is an increase from the initial report on July 18, which had the show pegged at 175,000 buys. The updated figure means that All In: Texas could potentially end up as the third highest-selling pay-per-view in the history of All Elite Wrestling.

The current record-holders for the company are AEW All Out 2021 (estimated 215,000 buys), AEW All In 2023 from Wembley Stadium (estimated 200,000 buys), and AEW Revolution 2024 (estimated 180,000 buys). Depending on the final number, All In: Texas will be in the mix with Revolution 2024 for the number three spot on the all-time list.

The All In: Texas buyrate marks a significant success for AEW in 2025, showing considerable growth from their other premium events this year. For comparison, the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in May did an estimated 125,000 buys, and the Revolution pay-per-view in March did an estimated 135,000 buys. It was also previously reported that the company recorded $725,000 in merchandise revenue at All In, the highest figure for a non-WWE show in the United States or Canada.

The report confirms that All In: Texas was a major financial success for AEW, driven by a card that saw \”Hangman\” Adam Page win the AEW World Championship. The company will look to continue this momentum with its next major pay-per-view, the annual AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door crossover event, which takes place on August 24 and will air live from Wembley Stadium in London, England. The full, detailed report on AEW\’s business can be read in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

  • GUNTHER Had Brutally Honest Response For Devoted Fan

Former World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER recently shared a story from a meet and greet that perfectly illustrates his no-nonsense persona. While most wrestlers would be thrilled by a fan\’s dedication, \”The Ring General\” offered some brutally honest advice to a fan who had traveled a long way to see him.

Appearing on The Undertaker’s podcast, GUNTHER recounted a recent meet and greet where he was told a fan had driven nine hours for the event. His response was not what the fan was likely expecting.

“I did like meet and greet recently, and there was like one person they said drove like nine hours or something to the meet and greet,\” GUNTHER said. \”And I said to her ‘I appreciate it, but never do it again. Do something with your time that actually benefits you.’ It’s like a waste of time.\”

GUNTHER acknowledged that his response seemed to upset the fan, but he stood by his advice, feeling it was the only responsible thing to say. \”And I felt like she looked a bit sad, but I felt like that’s the only responsible thing to say at that point,” he explained.

GUNTHER\’s comments come less than a week after his dominant reign as World Heavyweight Champion came to an end at SummerSlam. He was defeated by CM Punk in the main event of Night One, only for Seth Rollins to immediately cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk. It has since been reported that the bloody nose GUNTHER suffered in the match was a planned angle to write him off of television so he can undergo legitimate surgery for a nose issue, and he is expected to be out of action for several months.
