  • Chelsea Green Issues Statement After Backlash To Her Hulk Hogan Comments

WWE superstar Chelsea Green has issued a statement to clarify comments she made regarding the passing of Hulk Hogan. Her clarification comes after she received backlash from some fans following an appearance on a CBS News broadcast on Thursday.

Green was one of many wrestling stars who took to various media outlets to discuss Hogan\’s legacy after his sudden passing on July 24th. On Friday, she took to social media to address the criticism and make her personal stance on his controversial past crystal clear.

In her statement, Green apologized if her response came across as dismissive of the valid concerns surrounding Hogan\’s complicated legacy. She reiterated that she does not, under any circumstances, condone racism.

“Let me be clear: my stance on racism is unwavering. I do not condone it—period,\” Green wrote. \”If my response (or tweet) seemed dismissive of real concerns, I sincerely apologize. That was never my intention. I tried to acknowledge a death respectfully, even when the legacy is complicated. I am learning one day at a time and will continue to learn.”

The fan backlash stemmed from Green\’s interview on CBS News, where she was asked to comment on Hogan\’s life and career. Some viewers took issue with the fact that she did not mention or acknowledge the more controversial aspects of his life while paying tribute to him. This led to some fans online accusing her of ignoring his past actions.

  • TNA Impact Spoilers From 7/24/25: Slammiversary Rematch

The first championship match for TNA Wrestling\’s next special event, Emergence, has been set. During last night\’s television tapings in Kingston, Rhode Island, the former champions, Nic and Ryan Nemeth, officially invoked their rematch clause to challenge The Hardy Boyz for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

According to spoilers from the taping, The Nemeths faced The Rascalz in a tag team match. Following a loss, the brothers cut a promo in the ring where Nic Nemeth announced that they are invoking their championship rematch clause for the Emergence event. Here are the spoilers, courtesy of F4Wonline.com:

Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee defeated (unknown)

Indi Hartwell & Dani Luna defeated Jody Threat & Arianna Grace

The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed) defeated Nic & Ryan Nemeth. After the match, the Nemeths cut a promo and Nic said they are invoking their Tag Team title rematch clause against the Hardys at Emergence. Ryan made fun of Rhode Island’s lack of sports teams and their ugly children. Home Town Man came out and demanded an apology. Nemeth’s laid out HTM and unmasked him, but security covered him up. The Rascalz ran back down to run them off.

Masha Slamovich defeated Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne by DQ. Ash by Elegance ran in and hit Slamovich with the Knockouts Tag Team title belt for the DQ. The match went around five minutes and was disappointing if only because they didn’t have the time to have a better match with a better finish.

X-Division Champion Leon Slater defeated Cedric Alexander and Jason Hotch in a three-way title defense.

The System (Moose & Eddie Edwards) defeated AJ Francis & Trick Williams. Moose pinned Williams with a spear after KC Navarro accidentally hit him with his crutch.

  • Chelsea Green Reveals Pitch To Become Alexa Bliss\’s Lilly Doll

WWE superstar Chelsea Green is known for being very vocal about her creative pitches, and in a new interview, she has revealed one of her most unique ideas. Green once pitched a storyline that would have seen her become the human version of Alexa Bliss\’s sinister doll, Lilly.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino of The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, Green recalled the pitch she made to WWE creative. The idea would have seen the Lilly doll come to life to team up with Bliss.

“Oh my gosh, there’s so many. The ones that I can really harp on right now would definitely be my pitch to become Lilly, Alexa Bliss’s doll,” Green said. “Someone has to do it. Someone has to do it. She has to do some wizardry and make this doll come to life and be her tag partner.”

The original full-sized Lilly doll was a key part of Alexa Bliss\’s supernatural character in 2021 before it was destroyed by Charlotte Flair at the Extreme Rules premium live event. Since her return, Bliss has continued to carry a replica version of the doll to the ring for her entrances.

While Green\’s pitch to team with Bliss never came to fruition, both women are currently involved in major storylines. Alexa Bliss has recently formed an alliance with her former rival, Charlotte Flair, and the duo is scheduled to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Chelsea Green is the leader of the \”Secret Hervice\” faction on Monday Night Raw and recently faced Nikki Bella in a losing effort.

  • NJPW Star Withdraws From G1 Climax Due To Injury

NJPW star Gabe Kidd has officially withdrawn from the G1 Climax 35 tournament due to a right knee injury. The current IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion made the emotional announcement to fans during Friday\’s NJPW event in Tokyo.

Appearing in the ring on crutches, Kidd confirmed that he could not continue in the prestigious tournament. The injury was sustained during his opening night match against Konosuke Takeshita on July 19.

“I was really hopeful that I could come back and power through this and continue in this G1 Climax, but I’ve spoke to the doctors and there is no way I can be cleared, so I have no other choice [but] to withdraw from the G1 Climax,” Kidd announced. “And this is sh*t, man. It really f*cking sucks. It’s been a mental battle these past few days since I found out this information.”

Despite the setback, Kidd thanked the fans for their messages of support and made a promise for his eventual comeback. Further details about the specific nature of the injury and a potential return date have not yet been provided.

“I can only promise you one thing, is that when I am back fighting on this blue mat that it is going to be the best version of Gabe Kidd that you’ve ever f**king seen,” he declared.

The injury also puts the status of the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship in question. Kidd won the title from Yota Tsuji in June at Dominion and recently made his first successful defense against Hiroshi Tanahashi. New Japan Pro-Wrestling has not yet announced whether Kidd will be forced to vacate the championship due to his injury.

  • Moose Was Injured Early In TNA Slammiversary Title Match

A new report has revealed that the acclaimed TNA X-Division Championship match between Moose and Leon Slater at last Sunday\’s Slammiversary had to be significantly altered on the fly. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Moose was injured early in the bout, forcing the two to scrap many of their planned spots.

In the latest edition of the newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that despite the match being hailed as one of the best of the night, it could have been even better if not for an injury to the then-champion.

“Moose was injured very early in the match with Slater to the degree that apparently they had to cut a lot of planned moves out,\” Meltzer wrote. \”It was said that as good as the match was, it would have been even better had he not been injured.”

Despite the injury, Moose completed the match, which saw Leon Slater become the new TNA X-Division Champion. After the show, Moose announced on social media that he was taking a break to \”get healthy.\” However, that break was short-lived, as he appeared on this week\’s episode of TNA iMPACT! and immediately made it clear he was now gunning for Trick Williams’ TNA World Championship.

Moose\’s new target, Trick Williams, is currently one of the most talked-about stars in wrestling. In addition to holding TNA\’s top prize, he is also a contracted WWE NXT superstar. Williams appeared on this past Tuesday\’s episode of NXT, where he was involved in a memorable in-ring confrontation with WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker.

  • Update On The WWE Contract Status Of Karrion Kross And Scarlett

A new report has provided an update on the contract status of WWE couple Karrion Kross and Scarlett. According to Fightful, Kross has been telling people that his current WWE contract is set to expire in August and that no new deal has been signed.

The report states that numerous talents in the wrestling industry who have asked Kross about his deal have been told that his contract is up next month. It was also noted that as of last week, Kross had claimed that neither he nor Scarlett had been approached by WWE about a new deal.

While Kross is reportedly claiming his contract is expiring, WWE\’s actions suggest otherwise. Internally, things are being \”kept very quiet,\” but Kross has new merchandise available and has been regularly featured on both Friday Night SmackDown and premium live events. These are typically indicators that a talent has either re-signed or is expected to. The report also confirmed that there are still creative plans for Kross and Scarlett on WWE television.

The uncertainty surrounding Kross\’s contract comes as he and Scarlett are involved in a high-profile storyline on Friday Night SmackDown. The duo has been attempting to play mind games with both Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his SummerSlam challenger, John Cena. Kross and Scarlett were present during last week\’s chaotic contract signing, and their future involvement in the main event picture remains a key point of intrigue.

  • Nikki Bella Continues To Tease The Return Of Brie Bella

Nikki Bella has once again added fuel to the fire regarding a potential WWE return for her twin sister, Brie Bella. In a new interview, Nikki teased that fans should keep watching because they \”never know when Brie Mode will show up.\”

Speaking with Access Hollywood, Nikki addressed the fan speculation about a Bella Twins reunion. She made it clear that she believes it will happen at some point.

“I do think Brie will be there at some point. I mean, how do we not have Brie Mode back, how do the Bella Twins not grace that WWE ring, right?” Nikki said. “A lot of people want her back, the internet is loud about it, the Bella Army. What I keep telling people is keep tuning in and you never know when Brie Mode will show up.”

Nikki has been in the middle of a comeback run this summer, while her sister has remained at home with her family. In a recent episode of their podcast, Brie stated that she was \”yearning\” to be at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view but that she felt it was currently \”Nikki\’s time\” to be in the spotlight.

While Nikki continues to tease a reunion with her sister, she has recently formed a new partnership on Monday Night Raw. On the July 14th episode, Nikki was saved from a 3-on-1 attack by Stephanie Vaquer. The show ended with the two showing mutual respect, suggesting a new alliance is forming on the red brand, which could complicate a potential Bella Twins reunion.

  • Bianca Belair Details Complicated Finger Injury

WWE star Bianca Belair has provided an update on the finger injury that has kept her out of the ring since WrestleMania 41. In a new interview, Belair explained the complicated nature of her recovery and admitted that she \”needed this break\” from her non-stop schedule.

Speaking with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, Belair detailed the finger injury she suffered during her triple-threat match at WrestleMania. She explained that while the bone has healed, a lack of mobility is preventing her clearance for an in-ring return.

“I broke it in three places and the joint. It healed, but it won’t bend. You can’t wrestle with a straight finger because it’ll break again… I can’t even sew right now. I can’t even make gear,” Belair said. She added that she is still waiting to see if surgery will be necessary.

Despite the frustrating injury, \”The EST\” said that the time off has been a welcome change after a grueling five-year stretch. “I needed this break. I’ve been going for the past five years nonstop in the title picture, filming reality TV shows and appearances. I think I had over 300 appearances in one year,” she stated. While she can\’t commit to a return date, Belair did not rule out making an appearance at SummerSlam. She has remained on WWE TV, most recently serving as the special guest referee for the match between Naomi and Jade Cargill at WWE Evolution.

Belair\’s injury at WrestleMania 41 forced her and her partner, Jade Cargill, to vacate the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships. While Belair focuses on her recovery, Cargill has transitioned into a singles role, quickly rising to the top of the card. Cargill is now scheduled to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women\’s Championship at the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has provided more details on his recent retirement match, revealing that he suffered a broken hand during the bout. He also responded to the criticism he has received for his recent complaints about how his farewell was handled by WWE.

Speaking on his Car Cast podcast, Goldberg confirmed he was injured during his World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER at Saturday Night\’s Main Event as he broke his hand. “Now, I could not have done it without GUNTHER. That kid is freakin’ unbelievable,\” Goldberg said. \”I mean, it was a wonderful opportunity to be in the ring with him, and an honor… he made it happen so, it was awesome. I had a good time.”

Goldberg also elaborated on his frustration with the NBC and Peacock feeds cutting off his post-match speech. He suggested the move felt deliberate to drive social media traffic.

“It might as well been a conspiracy because you had six months to plan for it,” Goldberg stated. “I knew to an extent that was gonna happen because they were silently pushing the social side of it… you keep people with a cliffhanger on national television and then say that the rest of the speech with be blistered on social media… It’s bullsh*t, so, I mean, you know, I’ll get into more in about a week.”

  • Will Ospreay Reveals He Has Two Herniated Discs, Gives Return Timetable

In an in-ring promo, Ospreay got right to the point, revealing that he was dealing with neck issues even before his match at All In: Texas. He confirmed that after the post-main event attack by the Death Riders, he was rushed to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with two herniated discs going into his spinal cord.

Despite the serious nature of the injury, Ospreay provided some good news, stating that his doctors have told him the condition is treatable. He then told the live crowd that he is hopeful he will be medically cleared in time for the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door event on August 24, which takes place in his home country of England.

Forbidden Door is AEW\’s annual crossover event with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, a promotion where Ospreay made a name for himself as one of the world\’s top wrestlers and a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. AEW fans will now await further updates on his recovery ahead of the August 24th show.

EW star MJF has inserted himself into a top WWE rivalry, taking to the airwaves to praise his Happy Gilmore 2 co-star Becky Lynch while launching a verbal tirade against her SummerSlam opponent, Lyra Valkyria.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, MJF made it clear where his loyalties lie in the ongoing feud for the WWE Women\’s Intercontinental Championship. He offered high praise for Lynch but had harsh words for her challenger.

“I’m a big fan of Becky Lynch. Hate that Lyra (Valkyria) girl. I agree with Becky. [Lyra] stinks,\” MJF said. \”If you have an issue with Becky Lynch, I have an issue with you. Not into this Lyra chick. Something is up with her. She’s probably a bad person.”

When asked if he interacted with Lynch on the set of the new Adam Sandler movie, Happy Gilmore 2, MJF claimed that the two are close. \”Oh yeah. Me and Becky, we go way back. We are good friends,” he stated. Both MJF and Lynch are featured in the film, which premieres this Friday, July 25, on Netflix.

  • Report: ROH TV Talks Led To Unexpected AEW Dynamite Deal Instead

A new report has shed light on the ongoing situation regarding a potential television deal for Ring of Honor. The report from Fightful Select reveals that past discussions for an ROH TV slot led to an unexpected deal for its sister promotion, AEW, instead.

According to sources close to Warner Bros. Discovery, discussions were held about finding a television slot for Ring of Honor programming. While the terms for a deal were not met, the talks led to a different agreement. The negotiations pivoted, and instead, a deal was struck for TruTV to begin airing weekly replays of AEW Dynamite on Friday nights.

The report notes that AEW President Tony Khan has a \”specific goal and amount he thought such a deal was worth,\” which has so far not been met by any potential suitors. While there has been interest from a number of networks over the last few years, a deal to bring ROH to traditional television has reportedly never been \”particularly close.\”

While a television deal remains elusive, Ring of Honor programming continues to air weekly on the Honor Club streaming service. The brand recently held its Supercard of Honor pay-per-view on July 11th, which was headlined by Bandido successfully defending the ROH World Championship against Konosuke Takeshita. The show also saw Athena retain her ROH Women\’s World Championship against Thunder Rosa.

New Jack\’s in-game character will authentically represent his ECW persona, complete with a shopping cart full of weapons and his theme music playing throughout his matches. • Mercedes Mone On Toni Storm Match: ‘Everything Felt Aligned’

Mercedes Mone has reflected on her AEW Women\’s World Championship match against Toni Storm at the All In: Texas pay-per-view. Despite suffering her first singles loss in AEW, Mone called it one of the greatest weeks of her career and stated that the opportunity to wrestle Storm was a key reason she signed with the company.

One Of The Greatest Weeks Of Her Career

In the latest edition of her Mone Mag, \”The CEO\” opened up about the experience of facing Storm on the big stage. She praised the champion and said the match was everything she had hoped it would be.

“This may have been one of the greatest weeks of my entire pro wrestling career. If not, it was definitely up there,” she wrote. “Part of the reason I signed with AEW was because I wanted to wrestle Toni Storm. She’s become such an incredible character and a true star… When the match finally happened at All In, everything felt aligned. The build-up, the energy, the entrance -was all perfect.”

Ranking The Match And Teasing A Rematch

Mone ranked the match as her second favorite of her entire career, behind only her classic encounter with Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. After the match, she immediately knew she wanted to do it again. \”As I walked back through the curtain, one thought kept repeating in my head: ‘I want to do that again. I can’t wait to wrestle her again,\’\” she wrote.

  • Bryan Danielson Says WrestleMania 30 Main Event \’Doesn\’t Mean That Much\’ To Him

In a surprising revelation, AEW star Bryan Danielson has stated that his iconic main event victory at WWE WrestleMania 30 \”doesn\’t mean that much\” to him personally. In a new interview, he explained the personal and physical struggles that surrounded what many fans consider to be one of the greatest moments in WrestleMania history.

While speaking with SunSport, Danielson explained that personal circumstances backstage soured the experience for him. He revealed that while some family members were allowed in the ring to celebrate his championship win, his soon-to-be-wife, Brie Bella, was not.

“My sister and my niece got to come in the ring. But I was about to marry my wife the following Friday and they wouldn’t let her come to the ring, they didn’t want her to be in the thing,” Danielson said.

In addition to the personal slight, Danielson was also dealing with significant physical pain at the time, which further diminished the moment for him. He used the experience as an example of how a performer\’s reality can be very different from what fans see on screen.

“It wasn’t just that, I was going through a ton of neck pain, and all these other things, so these things that seem like cool moments to a viewer, there’s all this other stuff going on in a performers life, that could make that moment not as valuable to them as it is to the people viewing,” he stated.

Danielson\’s reflection on the personal toll of his biggest career moment comes as he is in a period of his life focused on family and community. As previously reported, Danielson has been on an extended hiatus from wrestling and has been training to become a volunteer firefighter. Though he made a surprise appearance at AEW\’s All In pay-per-view, he has since confirmed he is not yet ready for a full-time return to the ring.

  • Drew McIntyre On Triple H: \’He Let Me Be Myself\’

Drew McIntyre, whose WWE career has seen incredible highs and lows, recently opened up about the difference in creative philosophy between his former boss, Vince McMahon, and his current one, Triple H.

During an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impulsive podcast, McIntyre discussed his experience working under Vince McMahon. He explained that McMahon had a very specific vision for him and was protective of that image, which sometimes limited his creative freedom.

“For Vince, I think for me personally, he had a certain image of me, and he was always looking to protect me as this warrior character,” McIntyre said. “If I went to try something outside the box, the stuff I’m doing now, for me personally, it probably wouldn’t happen just because he was like, ‘No, this is my Drew. This is my warrior. This is how I see it.’”

McIntyre contrasted that experience with his current run under the creative direction of Triple H. He credited Levesque with having \”modern thinking\” and allowing him to show more of his true personality.

“Hunter was very much of the mindset, we’re going to try something different,” he explained. “We’re going to try this and let you be yourself and let this personality that he knew I had shine. And from the second we had our first conversation when he took over, it’s been exactly that.”

He said that he understands the sentiment but that it\’s part of building larger, inter-promotional stories.

“Look, how do you respond? You respond by saying, I understand and I get it,\” Silva said. \”If you saw the look on my face—look, I mean, that’s all part of wrestling… I’m glad they’re talking about it. That means we matter, it means they care—and we care. And we’re going to keep growing it together.”

Silva asked fans to trust the process, pointing to positive TNA moments at the event like Leon Slater winning the X-Division Championship. He promised that more \”great payoffs\” are coming as the company builds toward its biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory.

“If Goldberg wants some, I’m right here, but I will embarrass him. I will demolish him,” MJF said. “I will snap, crack, and pop every single tendon, ligament, and bone in his stupid, old, musty body… So if he wants a proper send-off, he should be facing a generational talent. I’m right here if he’s interested.”

From a business perspective, MJF believes a match between himself and Goldberg would be a major attraction. He acknowledged Goldberg\’s status as an \”incredible, intense mega star\” and said the matchup would be a big deal in any time period.

“As far as MJF versus Goldberg specifically? I mean, that’s a huge marquee match in any era,\” MJF stated. He did add two conditions, however: \”A, I’m going to need to be paid a lot of money if you want to see that match. And B, I would imagine he doesn’t come cheap either. So a lot of stars have to align for that to happen.”

MJF\’s challenge comes just over a week after Goldberg\’s official retirement match in WWE. At the Saturday Night\’s Main Event special on July 12, Goldberg was defeated by World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. In interviews following the match, Goldberg expressed frustration with the short build to his farewell and the production of the show.

This was Flair\’s second bout with skin cancer in the last three years and is the latest in a series of significant health issues he has overcome. • Willow Nightingale Defends Deonna Purrazzo From Body-Shaming

AEW star Willow Nightingale has come to the defense of her colleague, Deonna Purrazzo, after Purrazzo was subjected to hateful, body-shaming comments on social media following a match this past weekend.

After Deonna Purrazzo competed against Jonathan Gresham for Game Changer Wrestling on Saturday, she was targeted by online trolls criticizing her appearance. Nightingale, who has faced similar comments herself, took to social media to praise Purrazzo\’s match and question the focus of the online discourse.

“Why in the blue hell is that the prevailing conversation when a professional is still going out there and successfully doing their job?” Nightingale wrote. “I’m not naive. Some people’s lack of humanity doesn’t surprise me. I guess I’m just still hopeful we could collectively try to be better to one another?”

Purrazzo had initially clapped back at a user who claimed she had \”let herself go.\” Following the outpouring of support from fans and peers like Nightingale, she expressed her appreciation. “The people in this community who show up with love and support when it matters most? That’s why I stay,” Purrazzo tweeted. “Love will always outweigh hate.” Purrazzo had previously opened up on the Mighty Pursuit podcast about how a past experience with body-shaming left her “terrified” to get in the ring.

Both Nightingale and Purrazzo are key members of the AEW and ROH women\’s divisions. Nightingale recently competed in the Women\’s Casino Gauntlet match at the All In: Texas pay-per-view. As was recently reported, Purrazzo has been absent from television due to a creative ripple effect caused by other injuries in the ROH women\’s division, but she remains under a long-term contract with the company.

  • CM Punk Recalls Triple H Ripping Up His First Script After WWE Return

In a new interview, CM Punk has shared a behind-the-scenes story from the week after his return to WWE, revealing a pivotal moment with Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque where his script was ripped up and thrown away.

Speaking with Sportsbible.com, Punk described the scene on his first Raw back after Survivor Series 2023. After a match ran long and cut his promo time, he was running around backstage trying to edit his script, which caused a stir.

“I remember I was running around with a piece of paper in my hand that had whatever I was supposed to say… and then Triple H gets up and he comes up to me. He goes, ‘what are you doing, man? You’re freaking everybody out,’” Punk recalled. “He’s like, ‘Nobody here has ever seen you hold a script in your hand and read it.’”

Punk explained that because he was new again, he was trying not to \”step on anybody’s toes.\” That\’s when Triple H gave him some direct and liberating advice.

“He grabbed the piece of paper and he crumpled it up and he threw it out. And he was just like, ‘You’re CM Punk.’ He’s like, ‘Just go out there and talk to the people,’” Punk said. “And I was just like, ‘Right.’ And that’s what I needed to hear… He’s just like, ‘No, you don’t got to do that. Just go be you. That’s why you’re here.\’”

This story highlights the positive and trusting working relationship that has developed between Punk and Triple H since the former\’s return. That relationship has quickly led Punk back to the main event scene, as he is now scheduled to challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship at the SummerSlam premium live event on August 2nd and 3rd.

  • No DQ Stipulation Added To Title Match At WWE SummerSlam

A major stipulation has been added to the WWE Women\’s Intercontinental Championship match at SummerSlam. On tonight\’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it was confirmed that the bout between champion Becky Lynch and challenger Lyra Valkyria will now be a No Disqualification, No Count Out match.

During an in-ring face-to-face segment, Lyra Valkyria laid down the challenge to make their championship match at MetLife Stadium a lawless affair. \”The Man\” Becky Lynch accepted the new terms without hesitation, setting the stage for a brutal encounter where anything goes.

The challenger, Valkyria, earned her title opportunity by defeating Bayley in a two-out-of-three falls match on last week\’s episode of Raw. According to reports, the original plan as of three weeks ago was for Lynch to defend her title against Bayley at SummerSlam. However, the company made a \”last-minute pivot\” to the match with Valkyria, leaving Bayley off of another major premium live event.

The No DQ stipulation adds another layer of intensity to the women\’s championship landscape at SummerSlam. In addition to this bout, the two-night event will also feature Naomi defending the Women\’s World Championship in a triple threat match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, and Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women\’s Championship against Jade Cargill.

  • WWE Tag Team Splits Up

The tag team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, known as A-Town Down Under, is officially over. On tonight\’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Houston, Texas, Waller announced that the team is \”done\” following an injury to Theory.

During a backstage segment on tonight\’s broadcast, Grayson Waller approached The New Day\’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Waller informed them that he was looking for new partners because his tag team with Austin Theory had come to an end. He bluntly stated that A-Town Down Under is \”done\” and that because Theory is injured, he is \”moving on.\”

The breakup marks an abrupt end for the former WWE Tag Team Champions. Their last match as a team was on the June 23rd episode of WWE Main Event. Austin Theory\’s most recent match was a singles loss to El Grande Americano on the July 14th edition of WWE Main Event, and it appears he suffered an injury at some point around that time.

The split of the former champions comes as the Raw tag team division is heating up on the road to SummerSlam. Later tonight, The New Day, The Creed Brothers, and the LWO are set to compete in a triple-threat match to determine the next challengers for the World Tag Team Championships, currently held by The Judgment Day\’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
