  • Jey Uso: \”I Want To See 20 Years Of The Usos\”

\”Main Event\” Jey Uso has set his sights on a major career milestone that would solidify his and his brother Jimmy\’s legacy as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. After a successful and eventful run as a singles competitor that saw him become a main event star and capture the Intercontinental Championship, Jey has recently reunited with his twin brother.

Now, he has revealed that his new goal is to continue competing long enough for The Usos to celebrate a remarkable 20-year anniversary with WWE. In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated\’s \”Undisputed,\” Jey Uso discussed his desire for longevity and his pride in the career he and his brother have built together since their debut in 2010.

“This isn’t a job, it’s a lifestyle. For me, this is a 16-year run. I want to hit 20. That’s a big goal for me. You’ve seen 20 years of Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, John Cena, and all the greats. I want to see 20 years of The Usos.”

The Usos are already one of the most decorated tag teams of all time, holding the record for the longest tag team championship reign in WWE history. After spending the last couple of years on separate paths, their recent reunion has re-energized the tag team division.

  • AEW Blood & Guts Date And Location Announced

AEW\’s most violent tradition, the Blood & Guts match, will make its return on Wednesday, November 12, at a special edition of AEW Dynamite emanating from the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company officially announced the date and location for its fifth Blood & Guts event, a show that promises to continue the legacy of the two-ring steel cage match.

In a post on X, AEW wrote, “On Wed, Nov 12, AEW’s most violent match will take over the First Horizon Coliseum! Early Access Premium Seating starts tomorrow; tickets on sale 10/3”. One of the most intriguing possibilities is the first-ever women\’s Blood & Guts match. On a recent episode of AEW Collision, former AEW Women\’s World Champion Jamie Hayter teased that the violent stipulation may be the only way to settle the escalating, multi-woman feud involving herself, The Triangle of Madness, Queen Aminata, Harley Cameron, and others.

AEW\’s Blood & Guts is the company\’s modern take on the classic WarGames concept created by Dusty Rhodes. The match features two teams locked inside a massive, roofed steel cage that encloses two rings, a setup that is closer to Rhodes\’ original vision of \”The Match Beyond.\” Since its debut in 2021, the Blood & Guts match has become an annual tradition for AEW, consistently delivering some of the most memorable and violent spectacles in the company\’s history. Past editions have featured clashes between factions like The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle, the Jericho Appreciation Society and the Blackpool Combat Club, and The Golden Elite versus the Blackpool Combat Club.

This will be AEW\’s first event in the historic Greensboro venue since the Revolution pay-per-view in March 2024, a show that was main-evented by the emotional and historic retirement match of the legendary Sting, who teamed with Darby Allin to defeat The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

  • Roman Reigns Returns On WWE Raw

\”The Tribal Chief\” Roman Reigns has made his surprise return to WWE television. On the September 29 episode of Monday Night Raw, Reigns appeared during the main event, attacking Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision and helping his cousins, The Usos, secure a victory in a chaotic Tornado Tag Team match.

The return marks Reigns\’s first appearance on WWE programming in a month and signals a major escalation in the ongoing war between his family and the Vision faction. The return came during the final moments of the brutal Tornado Tag Team main event.

As Breakker and Reed had Jey and Jimmy Uso stacked up and were preparing to finish the match, Reigns\’s music hit to a massive ovation from the Raleigh, North Carolina crowd. \”The Head of the Table\” came down to the ring with a steel chair and, since the weapon was legal under the match\’s no-disqualification rules, proceeded to lay out both members of The Vision. His interference allowed The Usos to recover and get the pinfall victory.

This was Roman Reigns\’s first appearance since the WWE Clash in Paris Premium Live Event on August 31. On that night, after successfully defeating Bronson Reed in a singles match, Reigns was the victim of a post-match assault by the entire Vision faction, which was the storyline reason for his month-long absence.

  • Tag Team Match Set For WWE Crown Jewel

A major women\’s tag team match has been made official for the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia. On the September 29 episode of Monday Night Raw, it was confirmed that former rivals Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will join forces to take on the Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane.

The match is a result of the implosion of the Damage CTRL faction. The feud has been building for weeks, centered on the growing mutual respect between Ripley and SKY, which appeared to cause a rift within Damage CTRL. The tension finally exploded on last week\’s episode of Raw, when Asuka and Kairi Sane viciously turned on their long-time partner, IYO SKY, attacking her after Asuka had blinded Ripley with her signature poison mist.

The updated card for WWE Crown Jewel is below:

    • Champion vs. Champion Match: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins
    • Champion vs. Champion Match: WWE Women\’s Champion Tiffany Stratton vs. Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer
    • John Cena vs. AJ Styles
    • Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)
  • Idenity Behind New WWE Ring Name Revealed

WWE LFG competitor Penina Tuilaepa has officially been given her new in-ring name. The rising star took to social media on Monday to announce that she will now be known as PJ Vasa.

The announcement came just one day after WWE filed an official trademark for the \”PJ Vasa\” name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for entertainment services. The Washington native was introduced to the WWE Universe as one of the featured recruits in the first season of the \”WWE LFG\” reality series, which chronicled the journey of new talent at the WWE Performance Center.

Since making her in-ring debut on the show, she has become a regular on the NXT live event circuit, gaining experience and honing her skills. Throughout the past year, Vasa has competed against a variety of opponents from the NXT women\’s division, including Thea Hail, Zena Sterling, and Sirena Linton.

Now, with a new official and trademarked ring name, fans will be watching closely to see what the next chapter holds for PJ Vasa. It\’s unclear when she will make her debut on NXT.

  • AJ Styles On John Cena Match: \”It Honestly Just Came Out Of Nowhere\”

\”The Phenomenal\” AJ Styles has shared his first public comments on the recently announced dream match that will see him face John Cena one last time. The historic encounter is scheduled to take place at the WWE Crown Jewel in Australia on Saturday, October 11. The match, which was made official by Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque last week after a social media campaign initiated by Cena, will be a stop on Cena\’s ongoing retirement tour.

Speaking in a new interview with the Japanese media outlet ABEMA, Styles discussed the upcoming bout and his reaction to the surprising way it came together.

“I am certainly happy for the opportunity to wrestle John Cena on his retirement tour. I did not think this was going to happen, it honestly just came out of nowhere, but I accept it, I want it, and me and John are going to have one last match and it’s going to be incredible.”

The rivalry between AJ Styles and John Cena is one of the most celebrated of the modern era, producing a series of classic matches in 2016 and 2017, including their acclaimed bouts at SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble. This will be their first one-on-one match in over seven years.

  • Bret Hart On Hulk Hogan: \”He Never Helped Anybody\”

WWE Hall of Famer Bret \”The Hitman\” Hart recently reflected on his ascent to the top of the company, crediting two fellow legends for helping make his career while simultaneously offering sharp criticism for top stars like Hulk Hogan and Jake \”The Snake\” Roberts, who he says never did anything to help the next generation of talent.

During a Q&A session, Hart detailed the backstage politics and perceptions he faced early in his singles career and explained how the selflessness of \”Mr. Perfect\” Curt Hennig and \”Rowdy\” Roddy Piper was instrumental in proving his main event potential to the office.Hart recalled his first singles push in the late 1980s, which he felt was unsuccessful due to a lack of commitment from management and a perception that he lacked charisma.

“They were kind of like, ‘It didn’t pan out for you.’ I remember hearing stories with guys saying I had no personality or charisma. I remember thinking, ‘How do you have charisma wrestling Bad News Brown?’ He did’t do anything with me or give me a chance,\” Hart said. \”They kind of labeled me as a guy who wasn’t capable of being a big star. ‘I didn’t make it.’ I didn’t make it because it was my fault, I didn’t make it because it was your fault.”

“Vince came back to me and said, ‘We’re going to put you as a single again and give you a big push, a real one.’ I was skeptical that they would do all that for me. There is always a lot of politics and backstabbing,\” Hart remembered. He credits his classic matches with Mr. Perfect and Roddy Piper for changing the perception of him backstage. \”I got put with Mr. Perfect and that was the start of it. Everything started with the wrestlers who loved working with me like Mr. Perfect, Roddy Piper, and certain guys who wanted to help me prove to the office that I could be a big star. I owe a lot to Mr. Perfect. He was the first guy to go in there and show everybody how good I was. Curt was one of my favorite guys to wrestle. He was the first guy to step up and make me. Roddy Piper was the second.\”

Hart then contrasted the help he received from Hennig and Piper with the attitude of Hulk Hogan, who was the face of the company for the previous decade. \”When I look back on my career and the wrestling industry, I look back at what Roddy and Mr. Perfect did for me. I can tell you that Hulk Hogan never did that for anybody. He never helped anybody else after his time as the top guy. He’d rather see the company sink than actually come back and make the next star, which in wrestling that’s how it is. The next guy helps the next guy,\” Hart stated.

He also included Jake Roberts in that criticism. \”Jake Roberts is another guy who never made anybody. They fed Hulk Hogan one wrestler after another for ten years.” Hart noted that because of this, when he finally reached the top of the company, he was left to work with talent like Papa Shango and Bam Bam Bigelow because the previous generation had not adequately built up new main event stars.

  • Tony Khan On WWE Counterprogramming: \”We\’ve Been Able To Stick And Move\”

AEW President Tony Khan has addressed the recent trend of WWE running events at the same time as major AEW shows, a tactic many fans have described as \”counterprogramming.\” In a recent interview on Going Ringside, Khan stated that despite the \”tough competition,\” AEW has been able to \”stick and move\” and is currently having what he considers to be \”maybe the best year of AEW ever.\”

“Well, we’re having a great year. We’ve been able to stick and move and make it work really well for us. There’s always going to be tough competition, and in this sport, it’s very tough competition, a kind of competition that makes you work really hard 52 weeks a year,\” Khan said. \”For AEW, we’re having a great year. We’ve been putting on great shows. The TV shows have gotten great ratings. We’ve got great support from our audience. And we’ve really grown the audience in 2025.\”

He specifically noted the growth of the television audience for both Dynamite and Collision, even with the addition of streaming on HBO Max, a result he says is the \”opposite of what the analysts had predicted.\”

Khan also touted the quality of AEW\’s pay-per-view offerings in 2025. \”The pay-per-views, you mentioned pay-per-views, we’re doing our best pay-per-views we’ve ever done. If you say… from the past six years, what are the top 10 AEW pay-per-views? I think there’s a good chance five out of the 10, six out of the 10 would be from this year,\” he stated. \”So it’s definitely a great year for the product of AEW and we’re very focused on how we can make AEW the best wrestling company it can be.”

The most recent example of the competitive scheduling between the two companies came this past weekend, when WWE\’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza event was scheduled on the same day as AEW\’s long-running All Out pay-per-view. In response to the head-to-head conflict, AEW made the decision to move the start time of All Out to the afternoon, a move that allowed fans to watch both shows without overlap. Khan has since stated he is open to making the afternoon start time a more permanent fixture for future pay-per-view events.

  • Former WWE Star Is Officially Under Contract With TNA Wrestling

A new report from FightfulSelect.comhas confirmed the contract status of one of the top free agents in professional wrestling. According to the report, former WWE Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion Cedric Alexander is officially under contract with TNA Wrestling.

The news solidifies his position with the company, where he has been prominently featured for the past several months. While Alexander has been a regular on TNA programming since July, his official contract status was previously unconfirmed, as TNA has a history of utilizing both contracted and non-contracted talent on its shows.

Alexander became a highly sought-after free agent after his WWE contract expired in February of this year. He made his debut for TNA in July and was immediately inserted into a storyline in the X-Division.

For months, fans had speculated that Alexander might eventually join his former Hurt Business stablemates (MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin) in AEW, but the Fightful report notes that is not happening at this time, and his future is with TNA. The length of his new contract has not been disclosed.

Last night at the TNA Victory Road special event, Alexander challenged Leon Slater for the TNA X-Division Championship in one of the featured matches of the night.

  • Matches Revealed For WWE Supershow Events In Japan

Several matches have been announced for WWE\’s upcoming return to Japan next month. The company will be holding two Supershow live events at the legendary Ry?goku Sumo Hall in Tokyo on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18.

The cards for the two shows were revealed during the Japanese broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown on the ABEMA platform, and they feature a host of WWE\’s top stars, championship matches, and the return of Japanese superstar Shinsuke Nakamura.

The tour will mark the official return to action for Shinsuke Nakamura, who has been absent from the ring since competing in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament back in June. Also featured on the tour will be the reigning NXT Women\’s Champion, GIULIA, who will be defending her championship on the first night in a major triple threat match against two of the top stars from the main roster. The announced cards for the two events are below:

    Friday, October 17

  • Gable Steveson To Make Professional Boxing Debut

Olympic Gold Medalist and former amateur wrestling standout Gable Steveson is set to venture into yet another combat sport, as he is now scheduled to make his professional boxing debut on Thursday, October 30. The announcement comes just weeks after Steveson made a successful transition to mixed martial arts, where he secured a dominant first-round TKO victory in his debut for the Legacy Fighting Alliance.

Steveson\’s debut will take place at an event for the \”Dirty Boxing Championship\” promotion in Nashville, Tennessee. He is scheduled to face Billy Swanson in the heavyweight contest. Swanson has a professional combat sports record of 4-3 in MMA and has had one previous professional boxing match, which he lost.

The decision to take a boxing match is an interesting one, as Steveson has recently stated in interviews that his primary focus is on building a career in mixed martial arts with the ultimate goal of becoming a UFC Champion.

This move into boxing suggests he is keeping all of his options open as he continues to find his path after parting ways with WWE earlier this year.

  • Chelsea Green On WWE Creative: \”It Just Depends On The Trust And Faith That WWE Has In You\”

Former WWE Women\’s Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green recently pulled back the curtain on the creative process in WWE, providing a detailed breakdown of how a show like Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown comes together.

In a recent interview with WKMG in Orlando, the leader of \”The Secret Hervice\” was asked about how a show evolves from the page to the screen. It all starts with Triple H and the creative team.

“Basically, it goes from Triple H down to the creative team, and they’ll spend the week molding the show, molding the look of the show, the theme, the arc of the show, and the storylines. Then it’ll trickle down to another team of writers, and they’ll write out the pre-tapes and the scripts and things like that. Then it’s given to the talent, and depending on who it is, we either memorize the script and go out there or improvise. It just depends on the trust and faith that WWE has in you, and also maybe how creative you are, maybe how much you love to improvise.

I love improvisation, and I love comedy, so I like to rework a script to be really outlandish and ridiculous, and then I like to surprise my scene partner with things that I’ll say in the moment to try to make them break character. But we do have little things like rehearsals and stuff like that when we’re going through backstages and things that are going to go live, because at the end of the day, we’ve only got X amount of time we cannot go over. The minute that we go over that time, we’re taking out of somebody else’s precious minutes in the ring or backstage, and you just never want to do that. I want to make sure that as many wrestlers are seen on TV every week as we can possibly see.”

Green is currently in pursuit of the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships, which are held by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Last week on SmackDown, Green and Alba Fyre lost to the champions with the titles on the line.

  • The Miz Thinks Current WWE Era Is \”Bigger Than The Attitude Era\”

The Miz has made a bold declaration, stating that he believes the current era of WWE is bigger and better than the Attitude Era of the late 1990s. The Miz, who has been with the company for over two decades and grew up as a fan during that popular period, made the comments during a recent interview with The Schmo.

While the Attitude Era is widely regarded as the commercial peak of professional wrestling, The Miz argues that by every modern metric, from live event revenue to the depth of the roster and storylines, today\’s WWE has surpassed it.

“Last year was a record-breaking year. It’s the biggest WrestleMania we’ve ever had. I’ll say this time and time again, there was an Attitude Era. This is bigger than the Attitude Era. The storylines are bigger than they’ve ever been. The stars, our roster is deeper than it’s ever been, whether you’re cheering someone or booing someone. WWE always finds a way to do better the next year. As best as you could possibly do, which I think we did amazingly last year here at Allegiant Stadium, it’s going to be nothing compared to what happens at WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium.”

While the Attitude Era boasted massive television ratings, the current era under TKO has seen WWE\’s overall revenue, live gates, and global media rights deals reach record-breaking highs.

  • WWE Star Pitches WrestleMania 42 Match Against Dominik Mysterio

Penta has his sights set on the Intercontinental Championship. The WWE star has publicly pitched a big match for next year\’s WrestleMania 42, calling for a championship rematch against his former rival and current Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio.

Speaking on the \”In the Kliq\” podcast, Penta discussed his ambitions for the next WrestleMania, making it clear that winning his first singles championship in WWE is his top priority.

“At WrestleMania 42, I’m ready to conquer everything. To conquer maybe my first title, or… I have a lot of options for the next WrestleMania. But now I am focused on (winning) the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio. Why not have a rematch at the next WrestleMania? At WrestleMania 42, we can conquer everything.”

The two men previously faced off for the Intercontinental Championship at the WWE Backlash Premium Live Event in May of this year. In that bout, Dominik Mysterio was able to defeat Penta and retain his championship. Now, it appears Penta is looking to avenge that loss and finally capture the prestigious championship that has eluded him so far in his WWE career.

  • Backstage Update On Jacob Fatu\’s WWE Status

An update has been provided on the status of \”The Samoan Werewolf\” Jacob Fatu, whose absence from WWE programming over the past month has been a topic of discussion among fans. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Fatu is expected to make his return to television imminently.

This is welcome news for fans who felt that the powerhouse superstar\’s momentum had been derailed after a strong start to his WWE career in 2025.

The brief but direct report from the newsletter states: “Jacob Fatu will be back imminently.” The last time fans saw Jacob Fatu on television was during the main event of the August 29, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. On that night, he played a key role, helping his cousin Sami Zayn defeat Solo Sikoa to become the new United States Champion.

Despite being on the winning side of that major angle, Fatu has not appeared on television in the weeks since. During his absence from the main broadcast, he has reportedly been competing in non-televised dark matches for the live crowd after the SmackDown tapings have concluded. It is unclear what WWE has planned for his return, but fans are eager to see the former United States Champion back on television.

  • Backstage Update On John Cena vs. AJ Styles Match

A new report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio has provided insight into the booking of the recently announced match between John Cena and AJ Styles. While the match was made official this week through a social media campaign initiated by Cena, Meltzer reports that the bout has been the plan for the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event for a long time. The narrative of the match coming together spontaneously was reportedly part of the intended storyline build.

According to Meltzer, several moments in recent weeks that seemed like standalone tributes or frustrations were actually deliberate seeds being planted for this encounter.

“This match was always scheduled for Australia — always. So the whole deal about Cena and AJ, you know, the idea that Cena was doing the tribute to him because he wasn’t going to get to wrestle him. That was actually to build to this match, that was not actually ever the case.”

Meltzer noted that a \”worked-shoot\” promo that AJ Styles cut during a commercial break on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw was also part of the subtle, long-term build to the match announcement. The one-on-one encounter will be the first between the two legendary rivals since 2018. It will be one of the final four matches of John Cena\’s career.

  • The Rock: \”I Never Got That Call\” To Help Ava In Her Wrestling Career

Dwayne \”The Rock\” Johnson became emotional while speaking about his daughter, WWE NXT\’s on-screen General Manager Ava, during a recent media event for his new film, \”The Smashing Machine.\” The Rock expressed pride in his daughter for her determination to carve her own path in the wrestling industry without relying on his influence.

During the interview, which was posted by MTV UK, Johnson was asked how proud he is of Ava\’s success. He had to take a moment to compose himself before answering.

“Oh man, I’m so proud of her. I got it. Let me lock in. I am so proud of her because it’s what I did and I love what I did and I love wrestling, I grew up in wrestling. She was born into it too just like I was and when she said, ‘Hey, I wanna do what you do.’ But the difference is — it’s where I get emotional because she’s like, ‘I wanna do what you do… I wanna carve my own path,’ and that’s the difference and that was a big deal when I heard that. You know, because it’s easy, I think, for any kid who wants to come up and do what their parents are doing to — maybe it’s not overt, but to utilize the influence. I’m telling you, it never happened. I never got that call. Like, hey, can you call someone? I never got that call and that’s the truth, and that’s the thing that makes me proud… When you don’t get that call — look, I would have been there anyway. I would have made that call. But when you don’t get it, it gave me a profound sense of pride because I was like, alright, I helped, with her mom, raise an amazing human being.”

Ava joined WWE as a trainee at the Performance Center and first appeared on television as a member of The Schism faction before transitioning into her current role as the General Manager of the NXT brand.

  • Adam Copeland-WWE Rumor Killer

Adam Copeland has been written off All Elite Wrestling television, leading to a wave of online speculation, including a rampant but false rumor about a potential match with John Cena in WWE. On the September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, a backstage segment aired showing an emotional conversation between Copeland and his long-time friend and tag team partner, Christian Cage, following their victory over FTR at the All Out pay-per-view.

Copeland expressed that the escalating, personal nature of their feud was affecting his family and that he needed to leave, uncertain of when or if he would return. While the on-screen explanation left his future unclear, a report from PWInsiderElite.com has confirmed the real reason for his hiatus and debunked the WWE rumors.

The report from PWInsiderElite.com confirms that the rumor of Copeland leaving AEW to wrestle John Cena on his retirement tour is \”not even remotely true\” and that Copeland is not doing so with AEW\’s blessing. Instead, his departure from AEW storylines is to accommodate his acting career. Production for the latest season of the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians is set to ramp up next month, and Copeland has a recurring role on the show as Ares, the God of War. Copeland has appeared in the last two seasons of the popular series, and his commitment to the filming schedule is the legitimate reason for his temporary exit from AEW TV.

In the emotional backstage segment that aired on Dynamite, Copeland and Cage reflected on their victory over FTR. Copeland told Cage, \”This is getting to my family… I gotta go. I don\’t know if I can come back.\” Christian responded by saying he no longer has a family, and urged Copeland to take care of his. The segment ended with the two friends shaking hands, providing an on-screen justification for Copeland\’s absence while also adding another layer to the complex, personal story between the two Canadian legends. The storyline with FTR had become intensely personal, involving not only the four men but also Copeland\’s wife, Beth Phoenix, who got physically involved at the All Out event.

  • Jeff Hardy: \”To Be the NXT Champions Is On My List Of Things To Accomplish\”

TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy has revealed that he has a new and surprising goal he wants to accomplish before his legendary career comes to an end: winning the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships. The Hardy Boyz are one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of professional wrestling, having won championships in nearly every major promotion they have competed in.

The NXT Tag Team Championship is one of the few major accolades that has eluded the brothers, and with the current crossover partnership between TNA and WWE, Hardy\’s goal is a realistic and exciting possibility.

During a recent appearance on the \”I Love Wrestling Podcast,\” the multi-time world champion discussed how he had been thinking about appearing in NXT long before it actually happened as part of the TNA partnership. He then stated that capturing the brand\’s tag team championships is now on his list of final career accomplishments.

“Over a year ago, if not two years ago, I kinda was meditating and manifesting the thought of us showing up in NXT, and sure enough, that eventually happened. Definitely for me, to be the NXT Champions is on my list of things to accomplish.”

The Hardy Boyz, who are the current TNA World Tag Team Champions, have made several appearances on NXT programming in recent months as part of the cross-promotional storyline.

  • AEW Officially Introduces Women\’s World Tag Team Championships

After years of fan speculation and demand, All Elite Wrestling is officially expanding its women\’s division with the introduction of the AEW Women\’s World Tag Team Championships.

The historic announcement was made by AEW President Tony Khan during the September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite. The creation of these new championships is a significant move for the company, providing a new goal for its deep roster of female talent.

The announcement came in an on-screen video segment from Tony Khan. He declared that after years of building the division, it was finally time to introduce the new championships. He also confirmed that a tournament will be held to crown the first-ever AEW Women\’s World Tag Team Champions, with further details on the teams and the tournament structure to be announced soon.

Immediately following Khan\’s video, the broadcast cut to Renee Paquette live in the arena, who was standing beside a podium. Paquette then unveiled the brand-new championship belts for the first time to the live Philadelphia crowd. The introduction of the championships has been a frequent topic of conversation in recent months, with many AEW stars, including Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale, publicly stating their desire to compete for tag team gold.

  • Orange Cassidy Returns To AEW On Dynamite

\”Freshly Squeezed\” Orange Cassidy has made his return to All Elite Wrestling. After being sidelined for over five months with a shoulder injury, Cassidy appeared on the September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, revealing himself as the mystery partner for Mark Briscoe and Hologram in a six-man tag team match.

The return was met with a strong ovation from the live crowd, who had been awaiting the comeback of one of the company\’s most popular and reliable homegrown stars. His return provides a significant boost to the AEW roster at a time when several other top stars have recently been taken out of action with injuries.

The return took place during a trios match pitting Mark Briscoe and Hologram against three members of The Don Callis Family: the AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada, G1 Climax winner Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero. When the time came for the third man on Briscoe\’s team to be revealed, the familiar sound of \”Jane\” by Jefferson Starship hit the arena.

Cassidy has been out of action since March, when he suffered a torn labrum that required surgery. His long road to recovery has been a topic of discussion, with recent reports from both Bodyslam.net and Fightful Select indicating that he had been medically cleared and was expected to return \”sooner rather than later.\” Tonight\’s appearance confirms those reports and officially marks his return to the active roster.

  • Adam Copeland Says He \”Has To Go\” From AEW, Future Uncertain

Adam Copeland\’s future in All Elite Wrestling is now uncertain, atleast in storyline. On the September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Copeland addressed the vicious attack on his wife, Beth Copeland, that took place at the All Out pay-per-view. In an emotional in-ring promo, the WWE Hall of Famer stated that the events of the past weekend have forced him to re-evaluate his priorities, and he announced that he \”has to go\” and is unsure if or when he will return to the company.

The segment saw Copeland speak about how the dangers of his professional life have now directly impacted his family. He was then interrupted by Christian Cage, who coldly told him that he no longer has a family. Copeland responded by stating that he does, and the two shared a handshake before Copeland left the ring, seemingly signaling a temporary departure from AEW TV.

The entire situation stems from the brutal post-match angle at the All Out pay-per-view on Saturday, September 20. After Adam Copeland and Christian Cage were victorious in their match against FTR, their celebration was cut short by a violent attack from The Matriarchy. The faction, led by Nick Wayne\’s mother, Shayna, ambushed Beth Copeland at ringside.

The angle ended in Shayna, Kip Sabian, and Killswitch holding Beth down, allowing Nick Wayne\’s father to deliver a devastating piledriver to her, leaving her motionless in the ring.

  • Kevin Nash Provides Positive Update After Successful Heart Procedure

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is recovering after a recent medical procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat. The wrestling legend took to social media to give his fans an update, and he did so with his signature brand of humor.

The post, while lighthearted, came after Nash had revealed some serious and surprising details about his heart health, including the discovery that he may have unknowingly suffered a heart attack two decades ago.

His health has been a topic of concern for fans, given his family\’s history with heart disease, making this positive update a welcome piece of news. Nash shared the news of his successful procedure on his social media account.

“Procedure went fantastic. Penis reduction was a success. Actually the strain of no longer pushing blood in the entire hog brought my heart rhythm back to normal. Thanks to everyone concerned about my well being.”

Jokes aside, the procedure was a serious one designed to \”zap\” his heart and put it back into a normal rhythm. In the lead-up to the procedure, Nash had revealed on his podcast that his cardiologist discovered scar tissue on his heart. The doctor suggested this was likely the result of a heart attack that could have occurred twenty years ago when Nash had a stent inserted.

Nash\’s father passed away from a heart attack at the age of 36. An autopsy later revealed that his father had suffered five heart attacks in total, with the fifth one being fatal.

TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim has revealed that she once pitched a major dream match against current AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. The revelation came during a recent exchange on social media, where the former Knockouts Champion was discussing the current state of women\’s wrestling.

The idea of a first-time-ever encounter between two of the most influential female wrestlers has fans dreaming of what-if. The conversation began after Kim posted a tweet offering a critique of AEW wrestler Riho\’s ring attire and her believability in matches against larger opponents.

In response to her tweet, a fan suggested that Kim should face Riho\’s most recent opponent, Mercedes Mone. Kim then replied to the fan, confirming that this was a match she had actively tried to make happen when Scott D\’Amore was still the president of TNA Wrestling.

The potential match is now a fantasy booking scenario, as Gail Kim is no longer with TNA Wrestling, having departed from her long-time role as a backstage producer earlier this year. Scott D\’Amore was also let go from his position as president.
