  • TNA President Hints That The Hardy Boyz Have Re-Signed

TNA President Carlos Silva has fueled speculation that the legendary Hardy Boyz have re-signed with the company, posting a positive and forward-looking message on social media just one day before their historic match at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. The message comes in the wake of a recent report from Fightful which stated that the one-year contracts Matt and Jeff Hardy signed in November 2024 were set to expire next month.

On Saturday, Silva took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to thank the brothers for their contributions to TNA. This may imply they\’ve re-signed.

He wrote, “Thank you to Matt and Jeff for being part of the @ThisIsTNA team. Such a pleasure to work with you and look forward to many years of positive vibes together. @MATTHARDYBRAND @JEFFHARDYBRAND”

The post was made on the same day that The Hardys and their Bound For Glory opponents, Team 3D (The Dudley Boyz), appeared together at a special fan Q&A event in Saugus, Massachusetts. The uncertainty surrounding their contract status has added another layer of intrigue to their match at Bound For Glory tonight. They will face off in a Tables Match with both the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championships on the line.

  • The Rock\’s \”The Smashing Machine\” Continue To Struggle At The Box Office

The box office struggles have continued for Dwayne \”The Rock\” Johnson\’s new A24 drama, \”The Smashing Machine.\” According to a new report from Variety, the film saw a massive 70% drop in its second weekend, earning just $1.7 million from over 3,300 theaters. The steep decline places the film in eighth place overall for the weekend and brings its total domestic gross to only $10.1 million.

With a reported production budget of $50 million before marketing costs, the film is on track to be a financial disappointment for the studio, despite receiving strong critical reviews for Johnson\’s dramatic performance. The film\’s poor showing was part of a larger trend of underperformance at the weekend box office, as several other new releases also failed to meet expectations. The weekend\’s top film, Disney\’s new \”Tron: Ares,\” brought in $33.5 million in its debut.

\”The Smashing Machine\” is a passion project for Johnson, who portrays former UFC and MMA champion Mark Kerr in the biopic, which is based on a documentary of the same name. The film also stars Emily Blunt and former MMA champion Ryan Bader.

A recent report from Deadline revealed that Johnson took a significant pay cut for the role, receiving a $4 million fee, far below his usual $20 million-plus salary, and even gave a portion of his pay to his co-star and to Mark Kerr himself.

  • Backstage News On Latest WWE Talent Releases

A new report from Fightful Select has provided an update on the recent WWE developmental talent releases that took place on Friday, October 10. According to the report, the round of cuts has now \”effectively concluded,\” with the total number of departures being \”around a dozen.\”

The list of released talent includes a mix of outright releases, contracts that were not renewed, and some talent who reportedly passed on new deals offered to them. The most prominent name among those released was the former NXT North American Champion, Wes Lee. According to WWE sources cited in the report, the reason given for this round of releases was a \”natural progression of cycling out developmental talent.\”

The report also made it clear that despite these departures, WWE is still actively recruiting new talent to bring into its developmental system at the Performance Center, indicating a continuous process of refreshing the roster. The release of Wes Lee is the most surprising of the group. He was a highly popular and decorated champion in NXT, known for his exciting in-ring style.

In addition to his lengthy reign as the NXT North American Champion, he was also a multi-time NXT Tag Team Champion as part of the team MSK. His departure marks a significant change for the NXT landscape. You can see the full list here.

  • The Hardy Boyz\’s TNA Contracts Set To Expire Soon

A new report from Fightful Select has revealed that TNA Wrestling could be on the verge of a significant roster shakeup, as the contracts for several key stars, including the legendary Hardy Boyz, are reportedly set to expire soon. According to the report, Matt and Jeff Hardy re-signed with TNA in November 2024 on one-year deals, which means their current contracts are set to expire next month unless a new extension has been quietly reached.

The timing of the news is particularly dramatic, as it comes just one day before The Hardys are scheduled to compete in one of the biggest matches of the year at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. The partnership between TNA and The Hardys has been a major success since their return, with the duo experiencing a massive career resurgence that has seen them capture not only the TNA World Tag Team Championships but also the NXT and House of Glory Tag Team Championships. According to sources within TNA cited by Fightful, the relationship has been a positive one for both sides.

“The deal has been mutually beneficial and a lot of positive has emerged from it. The Hardys have regularly stayed hours after TNA shows to fulfill heavily in-demand meet and greets.”

Despite the positive relationship, the report states that while the company is hopeful, they are not certain that the legendary team will re-sign. The uncertainty extends beyond The Hardys. The same report notes that \”no less than a dozen\” other TNA contracts are also scheduled to expire between now and the end of the year, including those of recent signees The IInspiration and Cedric Alexander.

  • Injury Update On Rey Mysterio

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on the status of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, who has been out of action for the past six months with a torn groin injury. While the report indicates that the legendary luchador is expected to be medically cleared for an in-ring return \”soon,\” it also notes that he is not currently listed for an appearance at the upcoming Survivor Series Premium Live Event.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 29, in Mysterio\’s hometown of San Diego, California, and many fans had been hoping for a triumphant hometown comeback. Mysterio has been on the sidelines since the weekend of WrestleMania 41 back in April. He suffered the torn groin on the episode of SmackDown just one night before the major event, forcing him to be pulled from his scheduled match at the last minute.

The six-month recovery period has been a long one for the veteran superstar, but the news that he is close to being cleared is a positive sign for his future. While Mysterio is not currently planned for the Survivor Series card, the report does note that a major match is planned for his son, Dominik Mysterio.

The current Intercontinental Champion is reportedly scheduled to defend his championship against John Cena at the event, which will be one of the final matches of Cena\’s retirement tour.

  • IYO SKY Calls WWE Victory The \”Greatest Moment Of My Life\”

Former WWE Women\’s World Champion IYO SKY has reflected on what she considers the greatest moment of her career: her successful championship defense at WrestleMania 41. The \”Genius of the Sky\” walked into the biggest event of the year as champion and faced two of the most dominant women in the industry, Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair, in a high-stakes Triple Threat match on night two of the spectacular.

The victory was historic on multiple levels. SKY became the first Japanese woman to win a match at WrestleMania, etching her name in the record books alongside her successful defense of WWE\’s most prestigious women\’s title. For a wrestler who began her career performing in front of mere dozens of fans in Japan\’s independent circuit, the moment represented the culmination of a remarkable journey.

In a recent interview with The Japan Times, the 35-year-old Kamakura native looked back on that historic night and emphasized the significance of representing her home country on such a massive global stage. The match itself showcased why many consider SKY among WWE\’s elite performers, as she notes the caliber of her opponents elevated the entire experience beyond just winning.

“I\’m apparently the first Japanese woman to win at WrestleMania,” Sky tells Japan Times. “And since it was also a defence of WWE\’s most prestigious title, it was definitely the greatest moment of my life. Not just the result but also being with the best wrestlers in Bianca and Rhea. I was able to take on the best stage, the best performers, the best match, and make the most of history.”

From Japan\’s Indies to WWE\’s Biggest Stage

SKY\’s path to WWE stardom required taking enormous risks. Born Masami Odate, she began wrestling alongside her older sister under the ring names Io and Mio Shirai, respectively, competing across Japan\’s independent scene for promotions including Ibuki, JWP Joshi Puroresu, and Sendai Girls\’ Pro Wrestling before gaining prominence in 2008-09.

She uprooted her life in Japan in 2018 to join WWE NXT, the organization\’s developmental league, where she faced not just physical challenges but technical ones. Unlike Japanese wrestling\’s sports-broadcast style where wrestlers focus solely on in-ring action, WWE demanded mastery of television production—playing to cameras, delivering drama, and executing countless simultaneous tasks, all in English.

The transition paid dividends. After years refining her craft through her heel turn and time with the Damage CTRL faction (alongside Asuka, Kairi Sane, Dakota Kai and Bayley), SKY captured her first WWE Women\’s Championship in August 2023 by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract against Belair. Her 245-day reign with the Raw Women\’s Title followed, before she claimed the Women\’s World Championship from Ripley in March.

At Crown Jewel this Saturday, SKY will team with Rhea Ripley to take on Asuka and Kairi Sane—a matchup that brings together multiple generations of Japanese wrestling excellence. It\’s a particularly meaningful pairing given that SKY and Asuka once teamed together early in her career, long before either imagined they\’d share WWE\’s global stage.

  • Big Matches Planned For WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event

The card for the upcoming Saturday Night\’s Main Event on November 1 is taking shape, and it includes three title matches According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the show will feature a WWE Women\’s Championship match and a number one contender\’s match to determine the next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

These two bouts will join the planned main event, which is set to see Seth Rollins defend his World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk. At Crown Jewel, Rollins will face WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a champion vs. champion showdown for the Crown Jewel Title.

In the women\’s division, Tiffany Stratton is scheduled to defend her WWE Women\’s Championship against the powerful Jade Cargill. This is their fourth match dating back to SummerSlam, where Stratton went over before a double count out finish on SmackDown and the infamous September 26th episode of SmackDown where they worked a triple threat match.

The other reported match will have major implications for the Undisputed WWE Championship picture. Drew McIntyre is scheduled to go one-on-one with the \”Samoan Werewolf,\” Jacob Fatu, in a match where the winner will earn a future shot at Cody Rhodes and his championship.

  • WWE Expects \”Leading Political Figures\” To Attend John Cena\’s Final Match

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that WWE is expecting a significant presence of \”leading political figures\” at John Cena\’s retirement match, which is scheduled to take place at a special Saturday Night\’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C. The event, which will be built around the final in-ring appearance of the 17-time world champion, is being positioned by the company as a major, mainstream spectacle.

According to the report from Dave Meltzer, WWE is inviting and expecting a \”ton of people from the White House\” to be at the show. It was noted that while President Donald Trump has not yet confirmed his attendance, his schedule would allow for it, as he is slated to be at the Army-Navy football game in nearby Baltimore, Maryland, earlier that day. The report also clarified the opponent for Cena\’s final match and the potential storyline to get there.

Meltzer wrote, “Right now the belief is there will be a ton of people from the White House at the show, but Trump is undecided at the moment, but a lot of major people have already told WWE they are coming.”

Cena will battle AJ Styles this Saturday at Crown Jewel before he moves onto Survivor Series: WarGames, where he is expected to take on Intercontinental Championship Dominik Mysterio.

  • Roman Reigns Says \”You Have To Get What Is Yours\” To Succeed In WWE

Former long-reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently shared his philosophy on the cutthroat, competitive nature of the WWE locker room, stating that there is not enough room for everyone at the top. The \”Tribal Chief,\” who has been a main event star for the past decade, explained that unlike in Hollywood, where a cast might work to make the top stars look good, every superstar in WWE is actively trying to take the top spot for themselves.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Reigns was asked about his role in elevating his cousins, The Usos, through The Bloodline storyline and whether there was room for everyone at the top.

“There’s not enough room in WWE. There’s not enough real estate. You have to get what is yours, and that’s what I’m trying to teach these guys. You have to take it now. This ain’t Hollywood. There is no number one. Cody (Rhodes) can try to put it there, I can try to put it there, but everybody is trying to take these spots and come up. Nobody cares if you’re doing good today. That’s how the WWE is. It’s not like Hollywood where they put a number on it and everybody serves the top spot and tries to make one and two look good. They don’t care if I look good. They want the good life. They want to be in the promised land. It’s not the titles, it’s the space [makes small space with his hands] I’m speaking of.”

He is now set to continue his own fight to stay at the top this Saturday, October 11, when he faces \”Big\” Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight at the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.

  • Jade Cargill On Charlotte Flair: \”I Think She\’s Timeless, And I Think She\’s Just Great\”

Jade Cargill has her sights set on a massive dream match for the grandest stage of them all. In a new interview, the former AEW TBS Champion named multi-time world champion and current WWE Women\’s Tag Team Champion, Charlotte Flair, as the opponent she would choose to face at WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on Brandon Kravitz’s YouTube channel, Cargill was asked who she would pick for her opponent at WrestleMania 42 if she had the choice.

“That’s tough. That is so tough. Because it’s a dream match, Charlotte Flair. I would say Charlotte Flair. I love Charlotte Flair. I think anybody that gets in the ring with her, she pulls ‘em up to her level. I feel like she has endured every type of storm meant to break her. I think she’s timeless, and I think she’s just great. So, that’s somebody that even when I entered this industry, I was like, ‘I would love to have a match with her,’ and I never thought I would get the opportunity but, if I had that opportunity, it would be Charlotte Flair.”

Cargill and Flair have crossed paths before in WWE, having feuded over the WWE Women\’s Championship earlier this year. Their last encounter on the September 12 episode of SmackDown ended in a double countout.

  • Roman Reigns: \”Paul Heyman Has Gone Dumb Now. I\’ve Become The Master\”

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Roman Reigns opened up about his estranged \”Wise Man,\” Paul Heyman. \”The Tribal Chief\” spoke on his strategic preparations for Heyman\’s inevitable interference and stated that he has surpassed his former mentor in knowledge and cunning.

When asked if he was worried about Heyman’s potential involvement in his upcoming matches, Reigns distinguished between physical and mental threats. “Anything that I need to be worried about he\’s doing right now. When we get out there, physically in that capacity, I\’m never worried about the old man,\” Reigns said. \”Any type of layered plan, any type of foil that he\’s trying to plan at this point, I think it\’s being game-planned in the forefront. So I\’ve just got to be ready for everything.”

Reigns explained that his years of association with Heyman have prepared him for any scheme. “He taught me so much. I sat under his learning tree. I caught shade for a long time,\” he explained. \”So anything that he\’s teaching all these other guys, he\’s already told me. He\’s long-winded, so he\’ll keep on telling his stories and he\’ll come back to them. So I, like a sponge, absorbed so much from the former Wise Man, that I think he\’s gone dumb now. I\’ve become the master.”

He reflected on the time he spent learning from Heyman during their travels. “Ask the twins, when we were on these flights, I\’d sit there and I\’d listen to him. I\’d sit there and I\’d take counsel. I\’d sit there and hear his stories,\” Reigns recalled. \”He\’s a very wise soul. So you got to be smart when you\’re around someone like that, because you can learn so much.”

Paul Heyman’s allegiance switched to The Vision. Reigns is scheduled to face Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight at the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event.

  • AEW Commentator Taz To Undergo Total Shoulder Replacement Surgery

Taz has announced that he will be stepping away from the announce desk to undergo a major medical procedure. In a post to his Instagram Stories, \”The Human Suplex Machine\” revealed that he is scheduled for total shoulder replacement surgery and will be off of AEW Dynamite for a period of time to recover. This surgery follows a knee replacement procedure that he underwent last year.

Taz shared the news directly with his fans, providing a brief but clear update on his status. “I will be having total shoulder replacement surgery in a short time. Therefore I will be off AEW Dynamite for awhile. See you soon.”

While he did not provide a specific date for the surgery or an estimated timeline for his return, his message confirmed that his absence from commentary is a temporary one. This upcoming procedure is likely related to the health issues that caused him to miss the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view in August, an absence he attributed to doctor\’s appointments and imaging scans.

Taz was recently honored for his legendary career during AEW\’s residency in Philadelphia, where he was surprised with an induction into the 2300 Arena\’s Hardcore Hall of Fame. We wish him a speedy recovery.

  • REPORT: Santos Escobar Re-Signs With WWE

Santos Escobar has reportedly reached a new agreement to remain with WWE, just two days after his contract expired and he was believed to be a free agent. A new report from PWInsider has confirmed that the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion is officially back with the company, reversing what many in the industry believed was a final departure.

The last-minute deal keeps one of the top luchadors in the world on the WWE roster after a brief but intense period of uncertainty about his future. The whirlwind situation began at midnight on Monday, October 6, when Escobar\’s WWE contract officially expired. His profile on the company\’s website was promptly moved to the alumni section, and he made a post on social media with the caption “Palante”—Spanish for “onward”—all of which strongly indicated his exit was complete.

His departure had been expected internally for some time, and speculation had already begun about a potential move to another major promotion like AEW. However, the new report states that in the final hours, a new agreement was reached. The deal reportedly came together after WWE addressed Escobar\’s creative concerns and made him a \”significantly higher\” financial offer than any of their previous proposals.

During his time with WWE, Escobar unmasked, created the successful Legado Del Fantasma faction, and held the NXT Cruiserweight Championship for over 300 days. With a new contract now in place, his WWE career is set to enter its next chapter.

  • Bronson Reed: Working With Paul Heyman Is A \”Dream Come True\”

\”Big\” Bronson Reed has opened up about his experience being managed by the legendary Paul Heyman, calling the partnership a \”dream come true.\” Reed and Heyman were officially paired on-screen in May of this year when Reed was revealed as a member of the dominant faction, The Vision, alongside World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.

The alliance has elevated Reed to the main event scene on Monday Night Raw, and in a new interview, he discussed how much he values the opportunity to learn from one of the greatest minds in the history of the wrestling business. Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, the Australian powerhouse, who grew up as a huge fan of ECW, explained what it means to have Heyman in his corner.

“Honestly, for me, you know, I was a huge wrestling fan and specifically ECW. So it’s a bit of a dream come true for me. If I could have asked myself five years ago: ‘Who would you want to be managing you as a pro wrestler?’ I would pick Paul Heyman. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to this business. So I feel like, if anything, I sort of make sure to pick his brain as much as possible because that just helps me with my career.”

He is scheduled to face Roman Reigns this Saturday, October 11, at the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Perth, Western Australia. The highly personal grudge match will be contested under Australian Street Fight rules, giving the hometown star a potential advantage. The match is a rematch from their encounter at Clash in Paris, which Reigns won, but was followed by a post-match attack from Reed and The Vision that left Reigns needing to be stretchered out of the arena.

  • AEW Announces Big Change To Dynamite And Collision Schedule

AEW has announced another significant change to its upcoming television schedule, revealing that next week\’s broadcast on Wednesday, October 15, will be a special, three-hour combination of AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision.

The announcement, which was made during this week\’s \”Title Tuesday\” special, confirms that the show will serve as the official go-home broadcast for the WrestleDream pay-per-view on Saturday, October 18. The move is the latest in a series of programming shifts and extended episodes that AEW has presented in 2025.

The three-hour special will air live from Kansas City, Missouri, starting at the usual Dynamite time slot of 8:00 PM Eastern. In addition to next week\’s change, AEW also revealed that they will be taping both Dynamite and Collision on Wednesday nights for the remainder of the month, with combined tapings scheduled for October 22 in San Antonio, Texas, and October 29 in Edinburg, Texas. The next live Saturday night edition of AEW Collision will not take place until November 8 in Houston, Texas.

This scheduling change continues a trend for AEW in the first year of its new multi-year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. The company has frequently experimented with its programming format, including a four-hour \”Summer Blockbuster\” special in June and several two-and-a-half-hour episodes for events like the Dynamite anniversary show and this week\’s \”Title Tuesday.\”

The former champion answered an open challenge from the reigning AEW TBS Champion, Mercedes Mone, immediately inserting herself into the championship picture in the AEW women\’s division.

While Lane was ultimately unsuccessful in her bid to dethrone \”The CEO\” and capture the TBS Championship, her impressive performance made a strong statement. This was her first official match for All Elite Wrestling, though she has competed for the company\’s sister promotion, Ring of Honor, since becoming a free agent. Lane and her long-time tag team partner, Katana Chance, were released from their WWE contracts earlier this year.

During their time in WWE, the duo was highly decorated, holding the NXT Women\’s Tag Team Championships for a lengthy 186-day reign. After being called up to the main roster, they also captured the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships, establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the company.

It\’s unclear whether she has signed a full-time deal with AEW.

  • The Hardy Boyz Win NXT Tag Team Championships At ShowDown

The Hardy Boyz have once again cemented their legacy in professional wrestling history. On the special \”NXT vs. TNA Showdown\” episode of WWE NXT, Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated the NXT Tag Team Champions, DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin), in a champion vs. champion bout.

The victory means The Hardys are now the TNA World and NXT Tag Team Champions, a historic moment in the ongoing crossover between the two promotions. This is the first time the legendary duo has ever held the NXT Tag Team Championships, adding another prestigious accolade to their already Hall of Fame-worthy careers.

The historic match kicked off the highly anticipated ShowDown event. The Hardys were accompanied to the ringside area by their legendary rivals, The Dudley Boyz (Team 3D), and TNA President Carlos Silva. Before the bell could even ring, all four members of the DarkState faction ambushed The Hardys, but the veteran team fought them off to officially start the match.

After a hard-fought battle that saw Jeff Hardy make a hot tag to his brother after a spectacular Whisper in the Wind, the tide turned in their favor. Matt Hardy delivered a series of Twists of Fate to both members of DarkState, setting up Jeff to hit a decisive Swanton Bomb for the pinfall victory.

Speaking with 3NT Wrestling, the AEW President gave high praise for Moxley\’s contributions to All Elite Wrestling over the past six years.

“Jon Moxley, since day one, has been one of the most important stars in AEW. But backstage, Jon Moxley’s also — as you’ve correctly assessed — one of the most important people backstage in AEW. Everybody in AEW has so much respect for Jon Moxley. He arrived in AEW as a huge star. And since we started AEW, he’s been the most consistent presence on the show week in, week out on all of our shows.
Jon Moxley works so hard. He’s a phenomenal wrestler. He’s a phenomenal leader. He’s a genius about pro wrestling. And Jon Moxley’s one of my favorite people I’ve ever gotten to work with. And I’m really, really proud that Jon Moxley is in AEW. I think he was a fantastic World Champion time after time after time in AEW. Everything he’s done in this company has been to the benefit of AEW. And Jon Moxley’s a phenomenal, phenomenal wrestler.”

A three-time former AEW World Champion, Moxley is currently the leader of the Death Riders faction. He is scheduled to be in action on tonight\’s special \”Title Tuesday\” episode of AEW Dynamite, where he will go one-on-one with the legendary Tomohiro Ishii.

  • WWE Star Signs New Multi-Year Contract

A new report from Fightful has revealed that Xavier Woods, a key member of The New Day and one of WWE\’s most popular superstars, has signed a new multi-year contract extension to remain with the company.

According to the report, Woods\’s previous contract was set to expire in September, and the negotiations for a new deal reportedly \”went down to the wire\” before an agreement was reached. Woods, along with his New Day partners Kofi Kingston and Big E, signed five-year contracts with WWE in December 2019.

However, Woods\’s deal was likely extended due to the time he missed in 2020 after suffering a severe Achilles tendon rupture, which pushed his contract\’s expiration date to this past month.A veteran of the industry, Woods has been with WWE since the summer of 2010.

Before joining the company, he had a successful run in TNA Wrestling from 2008 to 2010 under the name Consequences Creed, where he held the promotion\’s tag team championships with Jay Lethal. He also had a brief tour with New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2010.

  • Chris Jericho On His Next Move: \”We\’ll Just Have To See\”

AEW star and wrestling legend Chris Jericho is keeping his future plans close to the vest. The former AEW World Champion, whose contract with the company is reportedly set to expire at the end of this year, has been the subject of intense speculation regarding a potential return to WWE. While he has been on hiatus from AEW television since April, he has not been silent on the matter, and his latest comments continue to fuel the intrigue surrounding his next career move.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio to celebrate the 35th anniversary of his in-ring debut, Jericho was asked to name his top five career moments. After listing four, he intentionally left the fifth spot open, explaining that his focus is always on what is next.

“That’s the way I always think of it. ‘What’s your favorite moment of your career?’ Current, now. If I didn’t think it was the best, then why am I doing it? You always want to say that your next match and next show will be your best one. That’s the way you should look at things. We leave the space blank and we’ll see what happens.”

When pressed further about what his future holds, his answer was simple and cryptic.

“We don’t know, right? We’ll just have to see.”

In an appearance at Fan Expo Chicago, the 17-time world champion spoke about the dynamic between the two superstars, who, despite their vastly different personalities, shared the same core values and a desire to bring the best out of each other.

Their rivalry, which produced some of the most memorable matches and moments of the modern era, remains a fan favorite, and Cena himself wishes they could have had more time to create magic in the ring.

“A few things. First of all, we both want the same spot. And I also think we both love the same thing. A lot of people that want that front spot, purely want it for selfish reasons. Every once in a while, you get somebody who wants to sit in the front that loves the business, and we love it in different ways, too,\” Cena said. \”I think we’re such different personalities, but we share a lot of the same core values. So we just want to bring the best out of each other. For some reason, we kind of found each other and found each other at the right time and man, I wish I could have kept him with us. I wish he didn’t have to take all that time off because we could have had some more matches, but I’m grateful for the moments we’ve had. And I think that, I think we just, we both want to sit in front. We both really love the business.”

The rivalry between John Cena and CM Punk defined an era in WWE. Their most famous bout was at Money in the Bank in 2011 and is still regarded as one of the greatest matches in the company\’s history. The storyline, which was fueled by Punk\’s infamous \”Pipebomb\” promo, blurred the lines between reality and fiction and made Punk a top star. Their feud continued for several years, producing a series of matches that consistently delivered on both an in-ring and storytelling level.

  • CM Punk Is Heading To Perth

CM Punk has confirmed that he will be making the trip to Perth, Australia, for the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw ahead of the Crown Jewel premium live event. In a post to his Instagram story, Punk thanked the fans in Dallas for their support during this past week\’s Raw and announced his intention to be at the show next week that will take place in Perth following Crown Jewel.

This past Monday\’s Raw saw a verbal confrontation between the three men who most recently challenged for the World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso. Punk, who was making his first appearance since his victory at Wrestlepalooza, was interrupted by Knight, who claimed he was the rightful number one contender. Jey Uso then joined the fray, stating that he was still owed a one-on-one rematch for the title. The segment escalated into a brawl that saw Jimmy Uso get involved, and it ultimately led to a tag team main event pitting Punk and Knight against The Usos.

The match was a combustible one, with the makeshift team of Punk and Knight struggling to get on the same page. The finish saw Punk hit Jey Uso with a GTS, but Knight tagged himself in and stole the pinfall victory. The animosity between all four men, and the underlying tension between the recently reunited Usos, has created a volatile situation at the top of the Raw roster. With all of these stars now heading to Perth for Crown Jewel, the go-home episode of Raw is poised to be an explosive one.

The Crown Jewel premium live event, which takes place on Saturday, October 11, from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, will feature several matches. The show is headlined by two champion vs. champion encounters, with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes taking on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, and Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer facing WWE Women\’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. The card also features the final encounter between John Cena and AJ Styles. CM Punk does not currently have a match scheduled for the event.

  • Kurt Angle Praises The Rock\’s \”Smashing Machine\” Performance

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has given a glowing review of the new film \”The Smashing Machine\” and, in particular, the performance of his former rival, Dwayne \”The Rock\” Johnson. In a post on X, the Olympic Gold Medalist called the movie a \”fantastic film that I believe will be considered a classic\” and stated that The Rock\’s portrayal of MMA legend Mark Kerr has elevated him into the conversation of the \”greatest performers today.\” Angle\’s has a personal history with Mark Kerr, having competed against him for a spot on the Olympic wrestling team.

“Just watched The Smashing Machine. What a fantastic film that I believe will be considered a classic,” Angle wrote. “Mark Kerr was ‘The Guy’ I had to beat to qualify for the Olympic Games, which pushed me to transform into a version of myself I never thought I could be. Your story, beyond wrestling, is truly inspirational, my friend. For Dwayne Johnson to take on such a role and elevate it to another level in his career makes me consider him one of the greatest performers today. Watching Dwayne transform into Mark Kerr through this film was like deja vu…..no words, just applause. This movie deserves an Oscar, and I believe it will receive the recognition it merits. Well done, my brothers.”

\”The Smashing Machine\” tells the story of Mark Kerr\’s rise to stardom in the early days of mixed martial arts, as well as his battles with painkiller addiction and his complex relationship with his wife, Dawn. While the film has received some criticism for its underwhelming opening weekend box office numbers, which were the lowest of The Rock\’s career, the performance from the man himself has been met with widespread critical acclaim and has even generated Oscar buzz.

The Rock has stated that he is committed to this new phase of his career, where he is focused on expanding his range as an actor. “In our storytelling world, you can’t control box office results — but what I realized you can control is your performance, and your commitment to completely disappear and go elsewhere,” he wrote in a recent social media post. “And I will always run to that opportunity.”

  • Stipulation Added To Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed Match At WWE Crown Jewel

A new, violent stipulation has been added to the highly personal grudge match between Roman Reigns and \”Big\” Bronson Reed for this Saturday\’s WWE Crown Jewel. On the October 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, it was announced that the two powerhouse superstars will now face each in an Australian Street Fight. The announcement was made during an opening segment that saw the two rivals come face-to-face for the first time since their encounter at Clash in Paris, and it ended with a wild brawl that had to be broken up by security.

The show kicked off with Roman Reigns addressing the WWE Universe, but he was quickly interrupted by Bronson Reed and his advocate, Paul Heyman. Heyman taunted Reigns, reminding him that after their match at Clash in Paris, Reigns was stretchered out of the arena for the first time in his career. Reed then took the microphone and invoked the names of Reigns\’s legendary father, Sika, and his uncles, questioning how they would feel about his moment of vulnerability.

The personal insults enraged \”The Tribal Chief,\” who challenged Reed to a fight right then and there. Paul Heyman stepped in and declared that the match would happen on Reed\’s terms, in his home country of Australia, and that it would be an Australian Street Fight. Reigns immediately accepted the challenge, leading to a brawl between the two men that spilled all over the ringside area before officials could separate them.
