  • Nick Khan Defends WWE Ticket Price Hikes

WWE President Nick Khan has addressed the persistent rise in the company\’s live event ticket prices, defending the new strategy as an appropriate adjustment to market demand. During a recent appearance on the TKO 2025 Third Quarter Financials Call, Khan was asked if the increased revenue was being driven more by higher prices or by higher attendance.

\”It’s both,” Khan stated. “Capacity continues to be very high. We’ve increased prices appropriately with the marketplace. That’s for the PLEs, Raw, SmackDown, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and every other ticketed program that WWE has. We remain bullish on it.\”

Khan explained that the price increases are part of a deliberate TKO strategy to create a more in-demand, premium product. This was achieved by reducing the number of non-televised live events (house shows), which in turn created \”more scarcity in the marketplace\” for WWE\’s televised events.

He also noted that the company\’s aggressive international expansion further contributes to this strategy, using the upcoming European tour as an example.

“In January, you’ll see us on a European tour for Raw and SmackDown, leading into Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Tickets (are) already on fire for that event and it creates more scarcity in the United States, which is a good thing in terms of our overall gauge.”

This new business model, which has been echoed by TKO COO Mark Shapiro, has drawn criticism from some former WWE stars. Veterans like MVP and Maven have argued that the company is \”pricing out loyal fans.\”

  • Ridge Holland\’s WWE Situation Just Went From Bad To Worse

The situation for injured WWE star Ridge Holland (aka Luke Menzies) has taken a dramatic and negative turn. According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE has opted to terminate Holland\’s contract early, just weeks before it was set to expire. This decision was reportedly made in response to Holland\’s recent social media posts about his contract status and injury.

The report states that WWE sources confirmed the company considered his recent public statements a \”breach\” of his agreement, and as a result, the call was made to release him immediately. His contract was originally set to expire on November 14. Furthermore, the report \”strongly suggested\” that Holland will not be paid for the remaining period of his deal.

This is a major escalation of an already difficult situation for the former WWE star. Holland suffered a severe Lisfranc injury at a TNA iMPACT! taping on September 27, an event he was working as part of the WWE/TNA crossover partnership. He was expected to be out of action for at least seven months, well into 2026.

On October 13, Holland took to social media to reveal that WWE had informed him they would not be renewing his contract. In his emotional post, he stated he felt \”hung out to dry\” and \”totally f*\” by the company for letting him go while he was injured and unable to work.

While his pay has reportedly been cut, the Fightful report notes that WWE is still obligated to provide and pay for his rehabilitation for the injury. It is believed the company would \”almost certainly open themselves up to legal action if they didn\’t.\”

  • Kenny Omega Names Hangman Page As The \”Ace\” Of AEW

In a fascinating conversation between two of the most influential wrestlers of their generation, AEW star Kenny Omega has officially named who he believes is the true \”Ace\” of AEW. The \”Best Bout Machine\” sat down with NJPW President and legend Hiroshi Tanahashi for a new interview series on NJPW World, which is chronicling Tanahashi\’s road to his retirement at Wrestle Kingdom 20.

During the interview, Tanahashi, the long-time \”Ace\” of New Japan, posed the simple question to Omega: \”So who do you think is the Ace of AEW?\”

Omega, a former AEW World Champion and one of the company\’s founders, immediately dismissed the idea that the title belonged to him, instead giving the honor to his former tag team partner and the current AEW World Champion, \”Hangman\” Adam Page.

Tanahashi: “So who do you think is the Ace of AEW?”

    Omega: “Right now…”

    Tanahashi: “Kenny.”

Omega: “No! Definitely not me. I’d say Hangman.\”

Omega then elaborated on his choice, praising Page\’s versatility and character (H/T to Fightful). \”He’s a great guy, and he can wrestle all kinds of styles. AEW is an American company, but we showcase a lot of different styles. There’s some lucha, some Strong Style, deathmatch as well. Hangman’s deathmatches have been scary. But he’s been able to work that style. He can handle anything, and he’s a genuinely great guy. He was my first tag partner in AEW. It’s all in the heart.”

  • Tony Schiavone Admits He Didn\’t Think \”Hangman\” Page\’s \”Fright Night\” Angle Would Work

AEW commentator Tony Schiavone has pulled back the curtain on the memorable closing angle from the October 29 \”Fright Night\” episode of AEW Dynamite, admitting he was \”skeptical\” that \”Hangman\” Adam Page could pull it off. The segment saw Schiavone at ringside dressed as the Phantom of the Opera—a call-back to his own costume from WCW\’s Halloween Havoc 1990. However, in the show\’s closing moments, it was revealed that \”Hangman\” Page had disguised himself as Schiavone, allowing him to get the drop on his Full Gear opponent, Samoa Joe, and attack him with a beer bottle.

Speaking on his What Happened When podcast, Schiavone revealed that the entire angle was Page\’s idea and had been in the works for weeks.

“It was a very, very good angle. I didn’t know what to expect to be honest with you. Hangman had talked to me about this for a couple of weeks. And I was like, ‘Sure, whatever you want to do, it’s fine.’ And to be honest with you, I wasn’t sure what day it was going to happen. He had talked about it for a couple of weeks, then all of a sudden hit me. Of course, the Halloween edition, right?”

Schiavone also shared the hilarious details of Page\’s preparation, which included studying his every move and even adding some extra \”padding\” to the costume, much to Schiavone\’s chagrin.

“Then he was saying, ‘I need to watch you walk to see how you walk.’ And I was walking backstage and he was watching me. Then he would start walking. I said, ‘You walk like an old f—ing man. I don’t walk like an old man.’ Then I thought, well, I am an old man so maybe I do. So it happened. We had a lot of people help us out.”

Despite his initial doubts, Schiavone was thrilled with the final result, which got a massive reaction from the live crowd. “To be very honest with you, I was kind of skeptical about it, as I am many things that we do. But hey, he pulled it off. He really did. And congratulations for that, the fans really popped, and it ended up being pretty cool.”

The feud between Page and Joe is far from over. The two are set to collide for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear on November 22. Before that, they will be in the same ring again on tonight\’s episode of AEW Dynamite, as \”Hangman\” Page teams with HOOK and Eddie Kingston to face The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, & Katsuyori Shibata) in a massive trios match.

  • AEW Tag Team Was Put Together After Backstage Moment

AEW CEO Tony Khan formed a new tag team after seeing their unique handshake backstage. The current AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido (Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido), have been champions since August when they won the titles at All In Texas.

The duo was formed shortly before that event after King’s partner in the Hounds of Hell, Buddy Matthews, suffered an injury. Brodido have now revealed that the entire reason Tony Khan put them together was because he saw them do a \”gunfinger handshake\” backstage, which the two had been doing as friends for many years.

In an interview on AEW Close Up, Brody King was asked if Tony Khan knew that he and Bandido were already good friends. “I don’t think so. Because when we started doing the handshake he was mindblown by the handshake.”

Bandido added that the handshake was the specific moment their team was born. “I think that was the beginning of Brodido, the handshake. When we go to the ring, Tony saw us do the handshake before we got to the entrance.”

Since winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship in August, Brodido has become a staple of the tag team division. Their next major challenge has been set. Brodido will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against FTR at the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 22.

  • Cody Rhodes: Paul Heyman Saying I Passed Dusty Is \’Asinine\’

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been public about his mission to \”finish the story\” and honor his father, the late \”American Dream\” Dusty Rhodes. While his entire journey has been compared to his father\’s, Rhodes recently shared his complicated feelings about a specific compliment from Paul Heyman.

NBA Champion Matt Barnes recorded a new episode of his ALL THE SMOKE podcast, and joining him was Rhodes. As they were conversing, Rhodes recounted Paul Heyman stating that Cody had finally surpassed his father in the wrestling world.

Rhodes explained his immediate public reaction versus his internal feelings, noting that while he feels the statement is \”asinine,\” he also enjoyed the compliment.

“Mr. Heyman, Paul Heyman, the other day had said that he thought I had passed — he had mentioned it in an interview — he thought I had passed my dad in terms of the wrestling game and to me, that’s asinine and I don’t believe so. But, as he was saying it, inside I was like, yeah. Yeah. You wanna get there.”

The comparison from Heyman carries significant weight, as Heyman was a contemporary of Dusty Rhodes and is one of the most respected minds in the industry. For Cody, winning the Undisputed WWE Championship was the goal his father never achieved.

  • Brian Cage Reveals He Needs Another Surgery

Unfortunately, Brian Cage is not close to making his return to the ring. The AEW star shared an update with fans on social media today, revealing that he will need to undergo another surgery despite his quad and left knee being repaired.

Cage has been out of action since that injury happened in March. While sidelined, he decided to get a minimally invasive operation on his right knee in hopes that it would correct an issue he was having and he would be able to recover from the surgeries simultaneously. While trying to get cleared, Cage found out that he will need surgery again on the right knee.

“There is an issue on the operation I had on my right knee,” he wrote. “I was fighting an uphill battle that no amount of therapy, modalities, stem cells, peptides, etc [were] going to fix. I have to go back under the knife for them to try to fix or correct the situation.”

Cage was hoping that he would be back this month for AEW Full Gear. Instead, his return timeline remains unknown. It is a situation where doctors are hoping for the best but will not have a full picture of what is going on until they go in to perform surgery.

Even if it is the worst-case scenario, Cage is optimistic that his right knee will be “phenomenally better” after surgery. He noted he is \”beyond devastated\” but is trying to stay positive.

“Once we get this fixed and back on track I’ll pick up the pieces I’ll rebuild and become a better version of ‘the machine’ once again,” he wrote.

  • Ridge Holland Says He Was \’Hung Out To Dry\’ By WWE After Injury

Ridge Holland is speaking out, and what he is revealing is absolutely heartbreaking. The injured WWE Superstar took to Twitter to expose just how dire things have gotten after WWE opted not to renew his contract, leaving him unpaid while recovering from a serious injury.

Holland revealed that he has been sidelined for seven months, unable to work, and is now facing the terrifying possibility of losing his home. In a message posted to his Twitter/X account, Holland laid out his situation in stark terms.

“I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage. I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE. Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for seven months — this is brutal.”

While WWE is covering his surgery and physical therapy, Holland made it clear that medical care alone does not cover the cost of life, especially while also dealing with another serious health concern.

“Yes, they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy, but let’s be honest — that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. Plus, there’s the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f****.”

The timing could not be worse for Holland, whose WWE contract is set to expire on November 14. He suffered a serious Lisfranc (foot) injury in September while wrestling at a TNA taping in Edmonton, an appearance he was making on behalf of WWE as part of the promotions\’ partnership. The injury required surgery and has a recovery time of at least six months, leaving him unable to work.

  • Sheamus Wants To Send John Cena Off “With The Greatest Match He’s Ever Had”

Sheamus has commented on the possibility of being the final WWE opponent for John Cena in Cena’s retirement match this coming December. Cena’s final match is set for December 13 at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, DC.

On last night’s episode of Raw, the first four men in the 16-man tournament to determine Cena’s opponent were confirmed. Those four men are Rusev, Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sheamus. This sets up two first-round matches: Rusev vs. Priest and Nakamura vs. Sheamus. These matches are scheduled to take place on the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Out of the four men announced, Sheamus has the earliest history with John Cena, dating back to late 2009. Sheamus was thrust into the main event scene shortly after his debut and defeated John Cena in a tables match at TLC to become WWE Champion.

On tonight’s episode of the official WWE Raw Recap show, Sheamus commented on being included in the tournament and the possibility of being Cena’s last opponent.

“I think it’s very meaningful. Obviously you go back to 2009, we had that match at TLC when I shocked the world and became one of the fastest ever WWE World Heavyweight Champions by beating him, putting him through a table. That itself launched my career to a whole new level and put me on the map right away. I remember, it must have been 1000 interviews I did, no-one expected me to win that.”

Sheamus stated he would love to “repay the favor” by giving Cena a great final match. “Obviously I’d love to repay the favor for what was done for me – the opportunity to face him, beat him – but I’d love to full-circle give him the match he truly deserves on the way out in his last match of his retirement year. I think that would be incredible.”

“I learned a lot from John, I learned an awful lot really, really quickly. I was lucky to get into that position – when you get in that position, you’ve got to make sure you make the best of it, and that’s exactly what I did. We wrestled pretty much every single night at live events, we’re on the road five days a week, it really was a baptism of fire. I’ve taken two WWE Titles off John, and what better way for him to send him off with the banger of all bangers. The GOAT of all GOATs goes out with the banger of all bangers. How about that for a line? Just send him off to the sunset with the greatest match he’s ever had.”

Sheamus will first have to get through Shinsuke Nakamura in the opening round of the “The Last Time is Now” tournament on the upcoming November 10 episode of Raw from Cena’s hometown of Boston.

  • Cody Rhodes: Logan Paul Is A \’Huge Part Of WWE\’

Current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has revealed his honest opinion of Logan Paul. Paul made his WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37 in 2021 and has had 24 matches in his career so far.

A handful of those matches have involved Cody Rhodes, as they faced each other one-on-one at King of the Ring 2024 for Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Title. They have also faced each other twice in tag team action in 2025. In a new interview with ALL THE SMOKE, Cody Rhodes stated that he thinks Paul is wonderful, but joked that he always gets \”canceled\” for praising him.

“Every time I do an interview… you basically get mini-canceled and uncanceled on a weekly basis for something you say. A long-form pod(cast), you’re gonna say something wrong. Logan has so many people who don’t like him. And I think he’s wonderful. He works super hard, he asks the right questions, he’s big, jacked, strong, unbelievably athletic. A little bit arrogant, sure, but you’re in wrestling, this isn’t a timid world.”

Rhodes then jokingly backtracked before praising both Paul brothers as \”smart businessmen.\” “But I always say that and people are like, ‘Ugh.’ So what I’ll say now is I think Logan sucks (laughs). I think he sucks. I want Jake. Those two are setting the world on fire. I’ve seen Dana White on Logan’s pod, there’s a softening to them, and not just a softening of, ‘Oh they’re okay guys,’ they’re really smart businessmen. I’d like to know Jake a little bit more because I really enjoy Logan.\”

Rhodes shared a private detail about Paul\’s willingness to learn, noting that he is \”all ears\” and a \”sponge\” when it comes to advice about his matches. “Here’s something I like about Logan, I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing this – Logan doesn’t need necessarily to listen to everybody. Any time I’ve ever told him something about, ‘Hmm, this in the match,’ man, he’s all ears. Sponge. Really taking it in.\”

“Maybe those are just private convos, but that’s how I know, okay, he’s gonna go further. I think Logan’s a huge part of WWE moving forward.”

  • WWE Raw Reportedly Thrown Into Backstage Chaos By One Segment

A backstage report has emerged following last night\’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, indicating that the show\’s opening segment ran significantly over its allotted time.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, the segment, which featured new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Logan Paul, and The Vision, went approximately ten minutes long, forcing the production team to \”scramble\” to make up the lost time in later parts of the show.

The show kicked off with CM Punk celebrating his victory over Jey Uso at this past weekend\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event, where he captured the vacant World Heavyweight Championship. During his promo, Punk thanked his wife, AJ Lee, and the fans, and began to list potential future challengers.

He was first interrupted by Logan Paul. This was followed by another interruption, this time from Paul Heyman and The Vision, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Breakker and Reed proceeded to attack both Punk and Paul, leading to the two rivals reluctantly fighting side-by-side. The segment ended when CM Punk grabbed a steel chair to clear The Vision from the ring, setting up multiple new conflicts for the new champion.

  • Logan Paul Makes Surprise Return On WWE Raw

Logan Paul has just made his return during tonight’s November 3, 2025 episode of Raw in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Tonight’s Raw kicked off with the new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk following his title win at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Punk stated his intentions to be a fighting champion, naming the likes of AJ Styles, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, Sheamus and even John Cena as potential opponents. He said he invited pretty much anyone to try and step up, at which point he was greeted by the entrance of the returning Logan Paul.

This is the first time Paul has appeared in WWE since his loss to John Cena at Clash In Paris at the end of August. CM Punk wasn’t exactly thrilled and advised Logan Paul to instead go and try out Ilja Dragunov’s United States Title open challenge on SmackDown.

As Punk and Paul were verbally going at it, they were interrupted by the entrance of Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Heyman ordered Paul to get out of their way, but he refused, telling them they should have been quicker to come out. At that point, Bron Breakker got on the microphone and said he’s not waiting any longer and he’s coming after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Punk pointed out to Paul that he needed to either help Punk fight off Breakker and Reed, or leave the ring and get out of the way. Paul teased getting involved, but instead opted to leave the ring. He got shoved down by Breakker and Reed anyway as he tried to get past them.

As Breakker and Reed then attacked Punk, Paul got back in the ring and tried to fight them off. He ended up eating a Tsunami from Reed. Punk got back in the ring with a steel chair as Breakker fled, managing to strike Reed with the chair a couple of times.

  • WWE Legend\’s Sons Begin Wrestling Training

WWE legend Tatanka says that his sons have received the opportunity to visit the WWE Performance Center and are now training at The Dungeon. Tatanka recently spoke with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge at 90’s Wrestling Con and noted that his two sons got an invite on behalf of Triple H.

Tatanka noted that the invite was extended after Triple H saw him and his sons at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He confirmed that WWE referred them to Natalya & TJ Wilson’s Dungeon. The two young men, Jeremiah and Joseph Chavic, were in a photo shared by Tatanka to Instagram from the Dungeon last month.

“Oh, it’s absolutely awesome. About three months ago, I went to Saturday Night’s Main Event. Triple H sees both of our boys… He says, ‘They got to get in the Performance Center now.’ He sends a message; Triple H didn’t walk further than about five feet away, my phone started blowing up. All the executives of WWE already set an appointment for them to go to the Performance Center.\”

\”They went to the Performance Center; everyone loved him. Matt Bloom, which is head of the WWE Performance Center, fell in love with him. Called them ‘two studs.’ Shawn Michaels was there. Undertaker was there. So we came out of that, they had already recommended where they wanted us to go. which I’m so honored to be there; they’re actually training at the Dungeon.”

“Well, my advice is exactly where they’re at. Be at The Dungeon. How you get trained is key. That’s the reason Nattie Neidhart and TJ Wilson, they’re so key on, ‘If you do it right the first time, you got it down.’ So, you got to do it right the first time.”

The facility run by Natalya and TJ Wilson, known as \”The Dungeon 2.0,\” has become an elite, invite-only workshop for many active WWE stars looking to sharpen their skills, as well as new prospects. Recent reports confirm Tatanka\’s sons have been seen training at the facility alongside other second-generation talents like Aalyah Mysterio.

  • WWE\’s Saudi Arabia Plans Could Ruin Royal Rumble Surprises

It is possible any surprises for the Royal Rumble next year may not be much of a surprise. WWE\’s annual event is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Bryan Alvarez notes that with the event taking place internationally, any surprises set to take place on the show would be hard to hide. “There is a feeling that we might not get Royal Rumble surprises this year if only for the fact that sneaking people into Saudi Arabia will be a lot harder,” he writes. “Most likely surprises would take place the week prior at SNME.”

WWE announced over the weekend that it will be heading to Montreal for a January edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. That show is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, one week prior to the Royal Rumble.

Surprises are commonplace in both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches. Notable ones from the 2025 event included the returns of Alexa Bliss, Trish Stratus, and Nikki Bella. The 2025 Rumble also featured streamer iShowSpeed, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, and Jordynne Grace, who has since signed with WWE.

  • Rusev Reveals The Secret To His Body Transformation

WWE star Rusev has commented on his body transformation over the years and how he got into the shape he is in today. Rusev has been appearing on-screen since his NXT debut in 2013 and looks vastly different now than he did back then. He even looks very different currently than he did in his last run with WWE that ended in 2020.

Appearing on the Identity Crisis podcast hosted by his wife CJ Perry (Lana), Rusev discussed his transformation.

“It’s about trial and error. I’ve been trying for years to get in shape. It’s not that I just decided now before my comeback. In AEW, things were starting to click a little bit. I found a coach, I found a trainer who wrote me a program, who wrote me like an actual diet. Not just, ‘You’ve gotta eat this, this and this,’ but explaining to me the calories, the intake, the output and all that. And from then, you’ve just gotta try and see what works for you. Because what works for me doesn’t mean it’s gonna work for you.”

When CJ Perry pointed out that Rusev is a “God of muscles”, Rusev said he does not necessarily see himself as that.

“You always want to improve certain things. I think that’s what pushes some people to be better than others. I can’t even imagine looking at myself in the mirror like, ‘Oh man, you look freakin’ great bro. Why even go to the gym?’ I’d never even imagine that. It’s always, ‘This little bit, this little bit, maybe a little bit here, maybe a little bit here. Okay, if I do cardio extra for this long, maybe this will help.’ That’s always been the process, it’s never being happy with the final product.”

Rusev, who is part of the Raw brand, is currently in a rivalry with Men\’s Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. The feud between the two has escalated in recent weeks including a triple threat match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event with Penta that saw Mysterio retain.

  • WWE Reportedly \”Very Disappointed\” With Saturday Night\’s Main Event Ticket Sales

WWE’s return to Salt Lake City for the Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 was reportedly met with frustration backstage due to \”very disappointing\” ticket sales. According to a new report from Fightful Select, the turnout at the Delta Center was a significant letdown for company officials.

Despite a pay-per-view-level card, the event\’s attendance was noticeably below WWE\’s strong 2025 average. WrestleTix reported a final count of 7,867 tickets distributed for a setup of 8,088. This figure was a significant drop from the 11,000-12,000 fans the company has been averaging for its major events this year.

The low attendance was even more glaring when compared to the SmackDown taping in the same arena just 11 months prior (November 2024), which drew a reported 8,394 fans. The SmackDown taping the night before Saturday Night\’s Main Event also struggled, drawing a lower-than-average crowd and forcing the company to open up previously tarped-off upper sections to accommodate last-minute sales.

For the PLE, WWE reportedly had to move many fans down to lower sections to make the arena look fuller on camera, a common practice when ticket sales are low.

  • Scott Steiner \”Would Definitely Go Back\” To WWE For Bron Breakker Storyline

WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner has admitted he would be open to returning to WWE television for a storyline involving his nephew, the new top-tier star Bron Breakker. This is a significant statement from Steiner, who had a notoriously bad relationship with the company for nearly two decades following his departure in 2004.

Steiner, who made his name as a tag team specialist with his brother Rick before transforming into the \”Big Poppa Pump\” character in WCW, had a brief and unsuccessful second run with WWE from 2002 to 2004. That run, which saw him arrive with an injury, is mostly remembered for a panned feud with Triple H. For years afterward, Steiner was intensely critical of WWE, its management, and the McMahon family, making a return seem impossible.

However, things began to change when his nephew, Bron Breakker, signed with the company. The relationship fully mended in 2022 when The Steiner Brothers were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

During an appearance on a panel at Geek’d Con, Steiner confirmed that he is now willing to appear on WWE programming again, specifically to \”help out\” his nephew.

“I mean, I would definitely help them all if that’s what they, if they wanted. I mean, I haven’t thought about it, but if they did think that I could do something with them, yeah, I’d definitely go back and help them out. It would be great.”

  • Backstage Update On MJF\’s AEW Hiatus

An update has emerged on the status of former AEW World Champion MJF, who has been off All Elite Wrestling programming since September. According to a new report from Fightful Select, MJF is set to finish filming his role in the upcoming movie Violent Night 2 \”relatively soon.\”

While his filming schedule is reportedly wrapping up, it is not yet known when he is expected to make his return to AEW television. The report notes that MJF has \”the acting bug\” and has spoken highly about his experience on the film set. This role in Violent Night 2 is the latest in a growing list of Hollywood credits for the star, who also appeared as Lance Von Erich in The Iron Claw and had a prominent role as Gordie Gilmore in Happy Gilmore 2.

MJF\’s last appearance on AEW TV was at the All Out pay-per-view on September 20, 2025, where he lost a brutal Tables & Thumbtacks No Disqualification match to Mark Briscoe. The feud between the two began when Briscoe\’s interference at Forbidden Door in July cost MJF the AEW World Championship in his match against \”Hangman\” Adam Page.

Following his loss at All Out, AEW aired a promo from MJF in which he declared he was leaving the company. He vowed not to return until he had become one of the most dangerous men in the business and was ready to take his spot at the top of the industry \”his way.\”

  • AEW Announces Competitors For First-Ever Women\’s Blood & Guts Match

The field is set for the first-ever women\’s Blood & Guts match in All Elite Wrestling history.

AEW announced the two teams, which will compete in a 12-woman, two-ring steel cage match. The match will feature six people on each team, making it the biggest Blood & Guts match ever. The teams are as follows:

    • Team Moné: AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné will lead the Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart, & Skye Blue), Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne.
    • Team Statlander: AEW Women’s Champion Kris Statlander will captain Willow Nightingale, \”Timeless\” Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata & Harley Cameron.

Penelope Ford was originally scheduled to compete in the match but is currently sidelined with a UCL injury and has been replaced by Marina Shafir.

The historic match will take place during a special Dynamite broadcast on November 12. A men’s Blood & Guts match will also take place at the event.

  • CM Punk Wins Vacant World Heavyweight Title

CM Punk’s long road back to the top of WWE finally paid off in Salt Lake City. The “Best in the World” is once again a world champion after defeating Jey Uso in an emotional, hard-hitting main event at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The show went down at the Delta Center, where fans knew history would be made.

With Seth Rollins forced to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship due to injury, the stage was set for Punk and Uso to battle for the vacant title. Punk earned his spot by winning a number-one contender’s match, while Uso secured his through a 20-man battle royal.

From the moment Jey made his entrance through the crowd, the energy inside the arena was electric. CM Punk followed to a thunderous ovation, and once the bell rang, the two wasted no time trading control in a bout that had the crowd hanging on every move.

Punk took early control, slowing the match down to his pace and working Uso over with submissions. Uso rallied back with a spear and a massive Uso Splash, nearly securing the win before Punk kicked out at two. The action spilled outside, where Jey speared Punk through the barricade, sending fans into a frenzy.

Post Malone, who was seated ringside, was caught on camera reacting in disbelief as both men hit each other with everything in their arsenals. Uso even attempted to use Punk’s own GTS finisher against him, but Punk reversed the momentum, hitting a series of crushing Go To Sleep strikes to finally put Uso down for the three-count.

After the match, Punk clutched the championship to his forehead before raising it high in front of the roaring Salt Lake City crowd. The moment was emotional—years of setbacks, injuries, and controversies all led to this comeback triumph.

The victory marks CM Punk’s seventh world title win and solidifies his return to the top of WWE’s mountain, proving that even after all these years, he can still steal the show.

  • Update On Cody Rhodes And CM Punk\’s Place In AEW\’s New History Book

Fears that Cody Rhodes would be erased from the history of AEW have been officially debunked. A new report from Fightful Select, which received an early review copy of the upcoming This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling, confirms that the AEW co-founder and current Undisputed WWE Champion is featured prominently throughout the book.

Following the announcement of the book, which releases in early November, speculation ran rampant online that Rhodes would be omitted from the company\’s history following his high-profile departure and return to WWE. Fightful reports that this is not the case, stating that Cody Rhodes is \”covered no less than 15 times\” in the book. His contributions are mentioned in sections covering All In, Double or Nothing, and the launch of Dynamite.

The book also details his importance to the TNT Championship and his feuds with Wardlow, MJF, Chris Jericho, and Darby Allin, as well as his departure from the company. One quote from the book by AEW commentator Excalibur reportedly states that AEW \”had to figure out what their identity was going to be without Cody.\” The specifics surrounding his departure, however, are not discussed.

Similarly, fans wondered if CM Punk\’s contentious exit from AEW would lead to his omission. The report confirms that Punk is also \”covered no less than a half-dozen times.\” However, the \”Brawl In\” or \”Brawl Out\” incidents are not covered in the book.

An AEW source solidified the book\’s intent to be a comprehensive history, telling Fightful: “Joey Janela is featured in it. Miro is in it. If people had a significant part in AEW’s history, they’re in it.”

The report confirms that neither Cody Rhodes nor CM Punk was interviewed for the book.

  • Triple H Among WWE Executives Absent From WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event

WWE is set to produce tonight\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event, but two of the company’s most vital backstage figures will not be in attendance. According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, neither WWE Chief Content Officer (COO) Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque nor Executive Director Bruce Prichard is backstage at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City for the show.

The absence of both men is described as a \”rare\” occurrence for a major event. As COO, Triple H typically \”runs the ship\” from the Gorilla Position, while Prichard oversees the creative for both Raw and SmackDown. The report notes that both men were present at the SmackDown taping last night, making their absence tonight noteworthy.

Despite the two top creative forces being missing, the show is expected to go on without issue. The report adds that \”Road Dogg\” Brian James, WWE\’s Senior Vice President of Live Events and a creative lead for SmackDown, is present at the show, marking his first backstage appearance in several weeks. Sources indicated that WWE is a \”well-oiled machine\” and is fully equipped to \”make things work with the people backstage\” to run the event smoothly.

Tonight\’s Saturday Night\’s Main Event is a stacked card, set to be headlined by two major world championship matches: Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, and a new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned when CM Punk faces Jey Uso for the vacant title.

  • Drew McIntyre Wants To ‘Tear’ John Cena ‘To Pieces’ On Mic

Drew McIntyre doesn’t just want to wrestle John Cena; he wants to tear him to pieces on the microphone first. John Cena is on an action-packed retirement tour, with his final match scheduled for the end of this year. Now, another top star has thrown his name into the hat to work with Cena in his final program.

While speaking to The Sport Bible in a new interview, Drew McIntyre spoke of Cena’s ability on the microphone, noting that he would love to battle him verbally before sending him back to Hollywood.

“I know a lot of people online, and the chatter… a lot of people in the locker room, saying, ‘I would love to see you guys not just wrestle, but get on the microphone together’, because there’s so few people that can keep up with Cena, he is the absolute GOAT on the microphone when it comes to shredding people. He’s not just good at coming up with material prior, getting out there, he’s so quick on his feet.”

McIntyre said he has always wanted to prove his own talking ability against the best, referencing how he proved doubters wrong during his feud with CM Punk.

“I always said that I wanted to test myself against the best on the mic. People would say, ‘Drew, big guy, good wrestler, but maybe he could do with being a better talker’. And I was like, ‘What? Have you seen my indie stuff?’ Finally, when I got with Punk … I proceeded to shred him completely. And then I continued that for like, a year. And then that’s when people truly saw what I was capable of. I wanted to show that against someone like Punk, who is known as one of the best talkers of all time.”

Now, McIntyre wants to do the same with Cena. “I believe Cena genuinely is, and he’s so quick on his feet. I’d love that opportunity to tear him to pieces, then get him in the ring and send him right back to Hollywood – where he’s doing a fantastic job.”

McIntyre is currently set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City. The match includes a special stipulation that if Rhodes is disqualified or counted out, McIntyre will win the title.

  • Aleister Black Reveals Scrapped 2021 WWE Plans With Zelina Vega

Aleister Black and Zelina Vega are finally an on-screen alliance in WWE, but this partnership almost happened four years ago. In a new interview with The Takedown on SI, Black revealed that WWE had plans for the real-life couple to unite on television just before his release in the summer of 2021.

Black stated that the company was already preparing creative materials for the pairing. \”We started shooting little vignettes for it, and we started creating outfits for it,\” Black said. He also revealed a surprising origin for his early AEW aesthetic, noting it was repurposed from this scrapped WWE angle.

\”That first mask that I ever wore when I worked with [AEW] was actually one of the masks that was utilized,\” Black said. \”If you remember the Dark Father character that was at the end of my initial run [with WWE], that would eventually see my wife joining me… that was one of the pitches\”.

This was a significant change from Black\’s previous stance. He noted that years ago, during a radio interview with Cincinnati\’s ESPN1530, he was confident he and Vega would never be paired on WWE programming. However, the \”aesthetic of them together caught the eye of upper management\”.

Those plans were ultimately dropped when Black departed the company in 2021. Upon his return this past spring, the conversation started again, though it took time to get approval. Now that the alliance is official, Black and Vega are feuding with Damian Priest, who returned last week on SmackDown to cost Black a United States Championship match.

  • Injured WWE Star Shares Recovery Update At 4-Month Mark

An injured WWE star has shared a positive update on their recovery. NXT\’s Adriana Rizzo, who has been absent from the ring since April of this year, posted a video to Twitter showing her running on a treadmill at the \”4-month mark\” of her rehabilitation.

Rizzo previously revealed that she had suffered a torn ACL and meniscus. This was unfortunately not her first major injury. Rizzo suffered a torn Achilles back in 2023, which delayed her in-ring career. She also revealed that she had been working with a partially torn ACL for a year and a half before this most recent injury finally forced her to undergo surgery.

Rizzo signed with WWE in late 2022. She competed in an NXT Women’s Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal at a live event but would not become a regular presence at house shows until a year later.

At this time, it is not clear when Rizzo will be making her return to NXT. Before her injury, she was a member of the D’Angelo Family, but that group has since been disbanded.

Outside of the ring, Rizzo recently revealed that she is in a relationship with fellow NXT star Cutler James, a member of the faction DarkState.
