  • Roman Reigns And CM Punk Join The Cast Of Disney\’s \”Zootopia 2\”

Two of WWE\’s biggest stars, Roman Reigns and CM Punk, are set to work alongside each other in the upcoming animated Disney film, \”Zootopia 2\”.

The news was revealed by Nick LoPiccolo of the Paradigm agency, which represents both talents. Reigns and Punk will voice a pair of zebras who are police officers in the film. The sequel to the 2016 hit is scheduled to open in theaters worldwide on November 26.

This adds another major acting credit for both superstars. Roman Reigns, who has been off WWE television since his loss to Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel, has previously been featured in \”The Pickup\” and done voice work for \”Rumble\” and \”The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!\”. He is also set to star in the upcoming \”Street Fighter\” movie.

CM Punk, the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion, has an extensive acting resume of his own, with roles in films like \”Girl on the Third Floor\” and \”Rabid,\” as well as the \”Heels\” television series.

  • John Cena: \’Last Night Meant More Than I Can Ever Express\’

John Cena had his final match in Boston on the November 10 edition of WWE Raw, and he made history in his hometown. Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion.

The title victory was a landmark moment in Cena\’s farewell tour. It marked the first time in his career that Cena has won the Intercontinental Championship, a win that officially makes him a WWE Grand Slam Champion. The match was made early in the show by Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque after Cena\’s opening promo was interrupted by Mysterio.

On social media, Cena reflected on his final Boston appearance.

“Thank you Boston. It meant so much to be able, for one last time, to be allowed an opportunity to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by those I love,\” Cena wrote.

\”Our performances are only meaningful if YOU the audience invest in us and decide they are. The smile on my face and awe in my eyes in this small clip is an honest show of grateful disbelief & appreciation for all you’ve ever invested in me. Last night meant more than I can ever express. Thank you Boston.”

  • Priscilla Kelly Calls WWE Release A \’Shocker\’

Priscilla Kelly (Gigi Dolin) was one of the many talents released from WWE in 2024, and she described the call as a \”shocker,\” as she believed she was on the verge of a main roster call-up. Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Kelly explained the timing of her release came when she felt her career was at a high point with her new faction.

“It was just a more of a shocker than anything, because I came off of this super hot two weeks, like we, we had been like, me and Tatum and Shotzi. We were blowing up as a faction. And it was like, we were projected to go to the main roster with this… we were getting told that we were probably getting called up,\” Kelly said. \”And so I thought I was getting the call that I\’m going to main roster. And yeah, it was the call that I was released. So it was definitely a shock\” .

She contrasted this with her period of depression a year prior, stating, \”If I would have got that call a year and a half prior where I was like, shit in the bed and fat and sucked. Like, I would have been like, okay, that makes sense. Like, yeah, fair enough.\”

Kelly expressed disappointment that the group she had formed with Shotzi and Tatum Paxley was cut short. \”They let me go while we were, like, at this peak… I was kind of like, let down, because I wanted to see the group go. I wanted to see what our group was going to do… I wanted to see what we were capable of,\” she said . \”I think there was a lot of money that that was to be made there that was left on the table. I think there was a lot of cool moments and things that were left on the table with the three of us.\”

Despite the shock, Kelly also admitted to feeling a sense of relief due to the demanding nature of the WWE schedule. “It was a little bit of a weight off my shoulders at the same time, because it\’s very hard work working for WWE. It\’s a grind like no other there, you\’re working damn near six days a week, especially in NXT,\” Kelly explained. \”Every time I would be on vacation or have a day off, I never could relax, because I was like, at any minute I\’m gonna get a call, like, I have to show up, or I have to come in… You\’re on call 24/7 and, like, it\’s a blessing to have that, but it is also a lot of stress to carry.\”

\”So when I got the call that was released, it was a little bit of like, holy shit. I don\’t have to show up at 9am tomorrow to take bumps. Like, I don\’t have to show up to train every day like clockwork. I don\’t have to be on call 24/7.\”

  • Cody Rhodes Hits Milestone As WWE Champion

Cody Rhodes has reached a milestone as the current WWE Champion, having helthe team captained by Rhodes will consist of himdays. Rhodes\’s current run as a two-time Undisputed WWE Champion began with his victory over John Cena at SummerSlam earlier this year. His previous reign as Undisputed WWE Champion lasted 378 days.

Rhodes is now looking ahead to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29. The main event for the Raw brand was set after a chaotic brawl on last night’s episode.

The November 10 edition of WWE Raw saw World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk attacked by Logan Paul, who was joined by The Vision\’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Jey Uso and moments later, Cody Rhodes rushed to the ring to even the odds and save Punk.

This brawl set the stage for the titular men\’s WarGames match at the upcoming WWE Premium Live Event. The team captained by Rhodes will consist of himself, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Ilja Dragunov, and Sami Zayn. They will face the team of The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed), Logan Paul, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest.

Rhodes was last in action on the November 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, where his title defense against Aleister Black was interrupted by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre’s interference led to him receiving a storyline suspension.

While Rhodes has a full slate of main roster challengers, NXT Champion Ricky Starks has also shared his hope for a match. In a recent interview, Saints mentioned his history with Rhodes in AEW and stated his desire for an “AEW rematch” between the pair.

  • Big E Praises Lash Legend\’s Main Roster Call-Up: \”It\’s About Damn Time\”

Former WWE Champion Big E has shared his high praise for the recent main roster call-up of Lash Legend, stating it was \”about damn time\” she was brought to Raw or SmackDown.

Legend was officially called up to the main roster on the November 7, 2025, episode of SmackDown and has already made a massive impact. She has formed a new alliance with Nia Jax, and the pair made their presence felt on the November 10 episode of Raw. The two powerhouses interfered in the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championship match, helping The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) defeat Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair to win the titles.

Speaking on the Raw Recap podcast, Big E explained that while Legend is in a high-pressure spot, she is already proving she belongs.

“It’s such a great spot for her. It’s a big spot, it’s a lot of pressure, but even just in the small moments we’ve seen from her on the main roster so far, she has looked excellent… In the two or three things she did tonight, everything looked phenomenal. She is an athlete, she is strong, she is powerful, she’s got size, she’s got charisma\”.

Big E concluded that this is the perfect moment for her to prove she is a future star. “I think this is such a great moment for her really to put her stamp and say ‘Yeah, I’m here and I’m not just another body on the roster, I’m someone who’s going to be a force here.’ I’m really excited, it’s about damn time for Lash Legend to be called up”.

Lash Legend signed with WWE in December 2020 and became a member of the NXT faction The Meta-Four in 2023. She and her new allies are now heading toward the Survivor Series: WarGames event.

  • John Cena Was The Mastermind Behind Recent WWE Announcement

The upcoming Saturday Night\’s Main Event on December 13 is being built around John Cena\’s retirement, but the show will also feature a special \”main roster vs. NXT\” theme. According to a new report, that entire concept was a personal idea from John Cena himself.

Cena kicked off the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw to announce that the December 13 special will highlight WWE\’s future by having main roster stars issue open challenges to NXT talent. He compared it to the opportunity he received when he debuted against Kurt Angle in 2002.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, this was not a creative team decision, but \”a John Cena call.\” The reason for Cena\’s pitch reportedly stems from his recent visits to the WWE Performance Center, where he \”loved his time\” training with the developmental talent.

Cena visited the PC twice last month, posting on social media after his second visit: “Thank you to all the superstars at the WWE PC for sharing with me different perspectives of our business. I spent the week digesting their feedback & was grateful to be able to return today for another chance to learn & share wisdom.”

Cena\’s announcement and his reported \”push\” for the NXT talent came on the same night that he won the Intercontinental Championship for the first time, defeating Dominik Mysterio. The December 13 Saturday Night\’s Main Event will be headlined by Cena\’s final match, where he will face the winner of the ongoing \”Last Time Is Now\” tournament.

  • Andrade El Idolo Reportedly Walks Out Of Crash Event

The professional drama surrounding Andrade El Idolo has continued, as the star reportedly walked out of a major Lucha Libre event on Friday. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Andrade, who was booked for The Crash\’s XIV Aniversario show, left the event after fulfilling his meet-and-greet obligations. The reason for his abrupt departure was that he was \”unhappy\” with something at the show.

This incident is the latest in a bizarre chapter for the 36-year-old luchador. Andrade was unexpectedly fired from his WWE contract in September. He made a shocking return to All Elite Wrestling on October 1, attacking Kenny Omega and joining the Don Callis Family, seemingly setting up a main event feud. However, the storyline was stopped immediately, as it was revealed that Andrade\’s WWE release included a lengthy non-compete clause (reportedly one-year for a \”with cause\” termination) that prevents him from appearing on American television for a rival company.

Because the non-compete clause is understood to only apply within the United States, Andrade was booked by The Crash in Mexico, where he promptly won their main championship last month. This indicated he would be spending his time \”south of the border\” while waiting for his non-compete to expire. His decision to walk out of this weekend\’s show now adds uncertainty to that plan.

Andrade\’s first run with AEW, from 2021 to 2023, was also tumultuous, hampered by injuries and a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara that impacted his standing. Despite this, sources indicate Andrade parted ways with Tony Khan amicably, which is supported by his brief re-signing in October. It is \”almost certainly\” expected that Andrade will return to AEW programming as soon as he is legally permitted to do so.

  • John Cena Wins WWE Intercontinental Title

John Cena is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. In his final appearance in his hometown of Boston, Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the one title that has eluded him his entire career.

The November 10, 2025, edition of WWE Raw opened with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul \”Triple H\” Levesque in the ring at the TD Garden. Levesque gave a tribute to John Cena, calling him the \”greatest of all time\” before introducing him to the Boston crowd for his final Raw appearance in his home state.

Cena\’s promo was interrupted by Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. After a heated verbal exchange between Mysterio and Cena, Triple H stepped in and announced that Mysterio would defend his Intercontinental Championship against Cena immediately.

A referee was brought to the ring, and the impromptu championship match began. After a back-and-forth match, John Cena pinned Dominik Mysterio with an Attitude Adjustment to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time.

With this victory, Cena is now officially a WWE Grand Slam Champion. The win kicks off the final stretch of his retirement tour, which is scheduled to conclude on December 13 at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • Bryan Danielson Got Involved In AEW Controversy With Nixon Newell And Miranda Alize

Bryan Danielson’s involvement in the recent controversy surrounding Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize has now been reported. According to a new update from Fightful Select, the former AEW World Champion and respected wrestling figure personally spoke with both women following their walkout from the November 1 AEW Collision taping.

Newell and Alize left the Collision taping, reportedly upset over the limited time (three minutes) allotted for their scheduled match against Tay Melo and Anna Jay. Fightful Select reports that Danielson became involved after the match.

An AEW source informed Fightful Select that Danielson spoke with both Newell and Alize and \”wasn’t thrilled about the way the match went.\” The source noted that the match \”did not align with All Elite Wrestling’s creative direction.\”

The report also details frustration from other wrestlers over the situation. \”Multiple women in the AEW/ROH locker-room\” contacted Fightful to state \”that they would have loved for even three minutes on Collision.\”

Furthermore, Fightful Select noted that people in AEW believed the situation \”would have remained quiet if Alize had not posted a cryptic tweet before the show.\” Because of her post, the common belief is that \”even if the situation had concluded smoothly, it was not smooth anymore.\”

The same Fightful Select report also provided an update on Nixon Newell’s recent lack of match bookings. It was noted that Newell had been in conversations with another promotion, but the talks \”did not end well\” following certain \”asks\” from her.

The report also detailed a separate incident from earlier this year. An independent company had reportedly booked Newell to interfere in a match to set up a future tag team bout; however, Newell allegedly \”left during the show while the talent remained uninformed about it.\”

  • Damian Priest On John Cena’s Final Match: ‘This Is Our WrestleMania’

Damian Priest is set to face Rusev on tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw in the first round of the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament. The 16-man tournament will determine who will face John Cena in his retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

While speaking in a backstage promo ahead of tonight’s Raw in Boston, Priest noted the massive importance of this opportunity for everyone in the locker room. “For me personally, it would mean the world. It’s career defining moment,” Priest said. “You remember his first, right? Like when he came out with the Kurt Angle thing, how could you not remember his last? So there’s a reason why there’s a tournament for that privilege.”

Priest continued, explaining that the company’s treatment of Cena shows exactly how significant this chance is. “There’s a reason why the company itself calls him the greatest of all time while he’s still doing it. That’s reserved for when you retire. So the fact that the company believes in him so much, tell you how much this should mean to all of us.”

He ended his promo by comparing the opportunity to the biggest show of the year. “This is our WrestleMania, that’s the moment. So for anybody who gets that honor, it’s gonna be a huge deal.”

Priest’s match with Rusev is one of two tournament matches scheduled for Raw, with the other being Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.

\”This is our WrestleMania.\”@ArcherOfInfamy knows that being @JohnCena\’s final opponent would be a career-defining moment.

  • Ridge Holland Details Massive Pay Cut On Final WWE Contract

Luke Menzies, the wrestler formerly known as Ridge Holland, has opened up about the details of his final year with WWE, revealing he took a massive 58 percent pay cut on his last contract. During a Monday appearance on \”Busted Open Radio,\” Menzies detailed the \”contradiction\” in his negotiations, his financial struggles following the pay cut, and the \”kick in the balls\” injury situation that led to his eventual firing.

Menzies explained that when his main roster contract was up in 2024, WWE offered him a new three-year deal, but at a 58 percent reduction from his previous salary. When he asked why the offer was so low, he was told that \”they didn\’t see the value\” in him. Menzies found this to be a \”contradiction\”.

“If they didn’t see value, they would cut me right there and then, right? If they didn’t see the value,” Menzies said. “So why offer me a three-year deal for a 58 percent pay cut? Which I obviously said — I said, ‘Look I can’t be tied in at three years for that amount of money. I can’t do that. I’ll bet on myself for a year. I’ll do a year and bet on myself and then let the chips fall where they may.’”

The massive pay cut had an immediate negative impact on his finances, forcing him to drain his savings just to \”helping with the shortfall\”. Creatively, he was taken off NXT television and moved to Evolve. Despite pitching ideas and asking what he was doing wrong, Menzies was repeatedly told \”everything\’s fine\”.

“And I kept asking, ‘Is it my promos? Is it my work? What do I need to do? What have I done wrong?’ And everyone says, ‘No, everything’s fine.’ And I’m like, I ain’t stupid. Don’t p*ss in my pocket and tell me it’s raining”.

Menzies\’s attempt to prove himself ended when he suffered a severe foot injury at a TNA taping in September. While recovering, he was told his contract would not be renewed. This, combined with receiving bad news about foreclosure proceedings on his house, led him to voice his frustrations in a social media post last week. Menzies confirmed that post led to WWE terminating his contract a week early due to disparagement.

He also revealed he is dealing with a separate neck injury and has an appointment with a specialist to see if he needs fusion surgery, which could keep him out until May 2026. He stated that he believes WWE will be paying for the neck surgery and rehab as it is an \”open case\”.

  • WWE Has Big John Cena Match Planned For Raw

Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Boston is reportedly set to feature a big championship match.

According to a new report from Bodyslam.net, John Cena is scheduled to challenge “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on the show. This is a development in Cena’s ongoing farewell tour, as the Intercontinental Championship is the only title he has never won in his WWE career.

This championship match was originally planned for Survivor Series later this month. It has “seemingly” been moved up to tonight’s Raw, which is taking place in Cena’s hometown. This change is rumored to be to make way for a teased match between Dominik and his father, Rey Mysterio, at Survivor Series.

This surprise title bout adds to an already stacked card for tonight’s show, which is the final Raw before Saturday Night’s Main Event. A victory would finally make him a Grand Slam Champion, an achievement many fans have hoped he would accomplish before his retirement on December 13.

  • Backstage Update On Drew McIntyre\’s WWE Storyline Suspension

Drew McIntyre has been suspended indefinitely from WWE SmackDown following a chaotic end to the November 7 broadcast. The \”Scottish Warrior\” interfered in the main event, and the suspension is reportedly a storyline reason to write him off television, as he is taking time off to film a movie, according to Wrestling Observer Radio.

The show\’s main event featured Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a non-title match against Aleister Black. The match was booked by General Manager Nick Aldis earlier in the night after Black and Zelina Vega interrupted Rhodes\’s victory celebration for his successful defense against McIntyre at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

During the main event, as both Rhodes and Black were down, McIntyre hit the ring and laid out referee Dan Engler with a Claymore kick, causing the match to be thrown out. A massive brawl erupted, with McIntyre and Black launching a two-on-one assault on Rhodes. The brawl brought out Damian Priest, who made his surprise return to even the odds.

Priest had not been seen since losing a Last Man Standing match to Black last month. As all four men battled, Nick Aldis appeared on the stage and, furious with McIntyre\’s actions, suspended him indefinitely.

  • Ricky Saints Reveals What He \’Had To Get Used To\’ In WWE

A former AEW star has addressed his experience joining WWE, answering whether there were any major differences he needed to get used to. Ricky Saints joined WWE in February, the same month his AEW departure was confirmed by the company.

During an interview with The Five Count, Saints was asked whether he experienced any level of culture shock from the differences between the two companies. Saints noted that he has been able to adapt to the changes he was faced with.

“Someone else asked me this question not too long ago and I had to really think about it,\” Saints said. “Yes, there’s some differences for sure, but I don’t think I really let it sink in of it being so vastly different to me.\”

Saints continued, “There’s some things I had to get used to when it came to new people that I didn’t know, or how things may be ran on show day, things of that nature, but nothing crazy, nothing that was too shocking to me. I think at this point I have been around long enough to kind of be able to mold into whatever situation, thankfully.”

Saints has been wrestling for 13 years in total, making his in-ring debut in 2012.

While he only joined WWE nine months ago, Saints has already held two singles titles in the company. He held the NXT North American Championship earlier this year, losing it to Ethan Page in May. He is the current NXT Champion, having defeated Oba Femi for the title at NXT No Mercy on September 27, 2025.

  • Sami Zayn: \’I Feel Like I’m On The 99th Floor\’ In WWE Career

Sami Zayn is currently not medically cleared to be in or around the ring. The \”Honorary Uce\” has been trying to be ringside to support his friends against the MFTs, but SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has prohibited him from doing so. Prior to being medically sidelined, Zayn lost the United States Championship to Ilja Dragunov in an open challenge. Solo Sikoa’s MFT brutally assaulted both Dragunov and him after the match.

While speaking to the Toronto Sun, Sami Zayn opened up about his current situation in WWE and what he wants to achieve next. According to the former United States Champion, he believes he has achieved more than he ever dreamed of and is in a good place with the fans. Keeping that in mind, if he never won the world championship, he would be okay with it.

\”I feel like I’m on the 99th floor, which is an extremely hard place to get to. And I just need to get to the hundredth, you know what I mean? I’ve already done so much more than I ever thought I would as a kid, as — even when I signed my WWE contract, and then even after being in WWE for years. I’ve just accomplished so much more than I ever thought I would on so many different levels, and I’ve got so many uh great experiences. For me, this is all gravy at this point.\”

\”But there still is something to like, ‘Hey, getting on that hundredth floor would be nice.’ So for sure, winning the world title is the elusive one. I wouldn’t mind winning that one,\” Zayn continued. \”If I don’t ever win it, that’s okay. Because then I’m still in pretty good company as, in my opinion, one of the better guys to ever have done this without winning the world title. If you look at my peers who are all guys that — let’s say we’re all on the same level? They’ve all won it, and I’m sort of like the one holdout. So you know, one way or the other, it’s all good. I try not to look at it that way. I’m weirdly a goal-oriented person, but also not. It’s, ‘I’d like to be there,’ but that’s it’s the journey not the destination. That old cliche, but I do believe strongly in that.\”

  • Kevin Owens Shares Positive Update On Neck Injury Recovery

Kevin Owens has shared a significant update on his recovery from a long-term neck injury. On November 7, 2025, Owens posted a short video to his X account showing him running drills at a training facility. This is the first time Owens has been seen performing high-impact activities since being sidelined earlier this year.

In the video, Owens is seen running sprints. The footage indicates a positive progression in his rehabilitation, as he tests his conditioning and mobility following what was reported to be a major surgery. This is a new sign regarding his potential return timetable.

Owens has been off WWE programming since the spring of 2025. He was written off television after being pulled from a scheduled match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 due to the severity of his injury. At the time, Owens announced on SmackDown that he required immediate neck surgery.

Subsequent reports confirmed that Owens had been dealing with neck issues for some time and that he underwent a successful neck fusion surgery over the summer. In an interview in August 2025, Owens confirmed the surgery.

“I needed neck fusion… thankfully, it ended up only being one level, which is the best-case scenario for something like this,\” Owens stated.

The initial recovery timeline for such a procedure was lengthy. Reports from the spring and summer suggested that WWE officials were not expecting Owens back in 2025 and that a return in time for WrestleMania 42 in 2026 was also uncertain. Some reports indicated a likely minimum recovery time of one year.

  • Ridge Holland Regrets \’Frustration\’ Tweet After WWE Release

Ridge Holland says his recent remarks about his WWE release came from a point of frustration, but he’s thankful for the overall journey.

The former NXT star, whose real name is Luke Menzies, was injured while competing in a match for TNA this summer, which he later announced would require surgery. Following the injury, he was told by WWE that his contract would not be renewed. This led Menzies to post a tweet sharing his frustrations, noting he was worried he wouldn’t be able to pay his mortgage and felt like WWE hung him out to dry. In response, WWE terminated his deal, as they reportedly felt his comments were a breach of contract.

Menzies started a new YouTube channel and recapped his recent history, sharing how the initial injury happened. He also shared when he found out that WWE wouldn’t renew his deal, which happened just after his surgery.

“I think I recovered for about a week. I got a complimentary stay at one of the resorts in Orlando for my family, because my mom had flown over to help with the kids because I was incapacitated [after surgery], I couldn’t really do much,” Menzies explained. “Then we got there the first day, that’s when I got the call. They said they weren’t going to renew my contract. [I thought] ‘OK, well I’m injured and I don’t know how I’m going to make a living.’”

Menzies said he saw comments online about how he should have managed his finances better, but does not care to air his financial details on the internet. He noted the point of the video was to share that he was grateful for the journey he’s been on, both the good and the bad.

“What I do want to hold my hands up for is that last Tweet. It forced the situation to get a lot worse. That was purely out of frustration and I’m mad at myself for doing that, because it’s something that’s out of character for me. I don’t react that way. But I think knowing that my career with WWE was coming to an end, I never really got to show my true potential, whether that’s my fault or situational regarding injuries or things that happened, whatever [it was],” he noted, “I felt a bit wronged. I don’t know who by, just the whole situation, so I hold my hands up. If I [could do it over], I wouldn’t have posted that Tweet but I needed an outlet, I needed to vent.”

A GoFundMe campaign started by Susan Chapman of Saint Cloud, Florida, is active to help Menzies and his family offset living costs while he recovers from surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury. The campaign has a $60,000 goal and, as of November 7, 2025, has raised $8,650. WWE’s Chelsea Green and AEW’s Kyle Fletcher are among the wrestlers who have made contributions.

While WWE was paying for medical expenses related to the initial procedure, Menzies is also potentially looking at a neck fusion surgery in the future. Following his early termination, Menzies has announced he is now available for media and signing appearances.

  • Aleister Black On Working With Triple H: \’You Have To Trust The Process\’

Since returning to WWE in April, Aleister Black has adopted a patient mindset regarding his position on Friday Night SmackDown. While some fans may wish to see him in a more prominent role, Black noted that he finds reward in the \”sweat equity\” he believes will lead to accomplishing his career goals.

Speaking to The Takedown on SI, Black addressed the fan desire for a quicker ascent, cautioning against the dangers of \”instant gratification.\”

\”That\’s the only way to do it,\” Black said. \”I obviously very much appreciate that fans want this process to be sped up. We live in a society where it\’s instant gratification, and the second you start doing instant gratification is the second you\’re gonna lose a lot. And people often don\’t realize that subconsciously they love the struggle.\”

Black added that while fans may not always enjoy the \”finish line,\” the \”emotional connection earned along that long road to the destination is paramount for a journey\’s success.\”

The responsibility for Aleister Black\’s creative direction falls to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque, with whom Black has a long-standing working relationship from their time in NXT.

\”Hunter and I have always had a good working relationship. NXT Aleister Black was a cooperation between him and me, where I would pitch an idea and he would kind of flesh it out better,\” Black said. \”Right now, that is just happening on a grand scale, and it\’s been very rewarding.\”

Black explained that while Levesque is open to his ideas, he also has his own vision and that trust in the process is key.

\”Sometimes he\’ll have something in his head, and as with everything I\’ve done with him, you have to trust the process. Just because you\’re not immediately there at the end of the road doesn\’t mean that the road we\’re taken is the wrong one. We\’re gonna get there and that\’s something that I had to learn back in the day. Now that I\’m back, it\’s just getting back on that bicycle and trusting the process along the way.\”

Black also commented on the week-to-week nature of WWE creative and the difficulty fans may have in understanding it.

\”You have broad brush strokes as to where we\’re trying to get, but that doesn\’t always mean that the painting is as fine line and finished as people sometimes wanna believe,\” Black said. \”It\’s a very difficult process and it takes a lot of due diligence and patience and reevaluating the route you\’re taking. Criticizing yourself and then asking yourself, are we doing the right thing right now? And that has always been a difficult process, I think, for fans to understand.\”

Black has his sights set on major events as he moves forward with his career.

\”That\’s the goal. And then the goal is to be on every pay-per-view. And then the goal is to go to championship one and championship two. And I think if you don\’t realistically put yourself there mentally, then you need to find a way to put yourself there mentally.\”

Black reflected on his win over Damian Priest in a Last Man Standing Match in Perth, Australia, which was also the night his wife, Zelina Vega, aligned with him. He recalled a conversation with Triple H after that main event.

\”It makes you rethink everything that you\’re doing and every choice. And it makes you feel very grateful for being able to get these opportunities,\” Black said. \”I\’m 40 years-old and I got re-signed when I was 39, but here we are in better shape, better mindset, better attitude, and doing, slowly but surely, bigger and better things than [I\’ve] ever done before.\”

  • Tony Khan Is Still Waiting For The Right Offer On ROH TV Deal

Three years after AEW President Tony Khan acquired Ring of Honor in 2022 and promised \”big news\” about the promotion\’s weekly shows, fans are still waiting for a major television deal to materialize. A new update from veteran journalist Dave Meltzer suggests that a deal has not been signed because the offers haven\’t been enough.

In response to a fan on X asking about the status of a potential TV deal for the promotion, Meltzer revealed that there has been interest, but not at the price point Khan is looking for.

“If it could get one that pays enough, it would. There have been talks, but Khan never got the offer he wanted,” Meltzer said.

During a media call before the Full Gear pay-per-view, Khan stated that having Chris Jericho as the ROH World Champion added prestige and was helping to generate \”media rights excitement\” for the brand, confirming there had been \”serious interest\” from potential partners.

Despite that interest, no television or major streaming rights deal has been announced. Ring of Honor\’s weekly show continues to air exclusively on its dedicated streaming service, HonorClub.

  • New WWE Record Set By Giulia

Giulia has officially set a new record in WWE. The SmackDown star is now the longest-reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion in the title\’s history, hitting 133 days as champion. This milestone means Giulia has surpassed the inaugural champion, Chelsea Green, who held the title for 132 days.

Giulia captured the championship on the June 27, 2025, episode of WWE SmackDown, where she defeated Zelina Vega. Since winning the gold, Giulia has established her dominance on the brand. She successfully defended the title in a rematch against Vega and also retained against Michin. During this time, Giulia has not been working alone. On the July 25 episode of SmackDown, she aligned herself with Kiana James, who now acts as her official representative.

The WWE Women\’s United States Championship is still relatively new, having been introduced late last year. Chelsea Green became the first-ever champion on December 14, 2024, at the WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event Premium Live Event. Green won a tournament to capture the title, defeating Michin in the finals. Green\’s 132-day inaugural reign set the standard for the championship until it was ended by Zelina Vega on the April 25, 2025, episode of SmackDown. Vega\’s own reign lasted two months before she was dethroned by Giulia.

Giulia\’s record-breaking reign continues a rapid ascent through WWE since her arrival in 2024. The decorated Japanese star made her official debut at NXT No Mercy in September 2024, confronting then-champion Roxanne Perez. She quickly won the Women\’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline and went on to defeat Perez at NXT: New Year\’s Evil on January 7, 2025, to win the NXT Women\’s Championship. Her 63-day reign as a babyface ended at NXT Roadblock when she lost to Stephanie Vaquer. Shortly after, Giulia turned heel by attacking Vaquer. She was officially called up to the main roster as a member of the SmackDown brand on the May 16, 2025, episode. Just over a month later, she won the United States Championship.

Giulia will not have long to celebrate her new record. Her third title defense is scheduled for the November 7, 2025, episode of SmackDown, where she is set to face the very woman she surpassed in the record books, Chelsea Green.

  • Killer Kross & Scarlett Make Surprising Admission About Post-WWE Life

Killer Kross and Scarlett have revealed that they are earning more money on the independent circuit than they were while under contract with WWE.

During a recent appearance on \”The Coach & Bro\” podcast, Scarlett discussed their financial success, offering it as encouragement for any talent in WWE who might be stressed about potential releases.

“This sounds crazy and probably not very believable, but it\’s something I feel like the people in WWE right now who might be stressed out — ‘Am I going to get released?’’ — they might want to hear this. We are making more than we were making there. We were getting paid very well, but we are making more now weekly on the shows we\’re doing than we were at WWE. And WWE pays great, but it can be done if you hustle”.

Killer Kross elaborated on how they are achieving this, explaining that their income is diversified far beyond just their in-ring appearance fees. He pointed to the multiple revenue streams available to them as independent contractors.

“You have the shows. You have independent merchandising. You have toys. There\’s independent video games being developed that a lot of people don\’t know about and they\’re looking for unsigned talent. There’s the conventions… your income will not solely come from the independent shows per se, but being an independent contractor and you\’re not under the umbrella of somewhere, you have a whole world wide open”.

The couple, who are no longer on the \”biggest show on the planet,\” stated they are \”very flattered\” to still be a subject of conversation among fans.

  • Jinder Mahal Explains The Hardest Thing About Being WWE Champion

Raj Dhesi, formerly known as Jinder Mahal, has addressed the pressure of reigning as WWE Champion back in 2017.

He won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton at Backlash 2017, holding the title from May 21 to November 7 that year when he lost it to AJ Styles. In a new interview with Click And Tell, Dhesi reflected on the pressures that came with being top champion for the first time in his career.

“The thing with becoming WWE Champion or World Champion, your life is never the same. You’re defined as WWE Champion or World Champion forever. At least in the world of wrestling, in the zeitgeist of WWE,” Dhesi explained.

“The pressure’s very real. The next morning it kicked in, like, ‘Oh my god.’ Because that day I had to wrestle, and the next day, and the next day. And now you’re in the main events and you’re faced with a lot of criticism when you’re in a top spot, you can’t let that get to you.” He continued, “You have to main event pay-per-views, do media, interviews all the time, now you’re traveling with the title, representing – you’re basically the face of the brand.”

“So it’s a lot of pressure, but I was ready for that moment. I was committed. That’s why after I won the title, there was no celebration. I needed to sleep. I can’t change anything,” he said. “Whatever got me to this spot, in the last 10 months that I’d been doing, if anything I’ve gotta even push further and do even more. Really focus on the things that I had been neglecting or kinda been lazy to do. Things become a routine, and when it’s a routine, it’s a habit – you don’t have to think about it. I just had to stay focused.”

Dhesi noted the difficulty of avoiding distractions. “The hardest thing is staying focused, keeping the distractions… because of course everybody’s your friend, everybody wants to hang out, everybody wants to do this, you’re invited to this and that, but you’ve gotta narrow it down and look at things in a way of, ‘Is this thing gonna help me, or is this thing gonna hurt me? Is this thing gonna get me to my goal, or take me away from my goal?’ So I think that’s the hard part.”

Dhesi was released by WWE in April 2024 and has since been wrestling on the independent circuit under his real name. He has remained active in 2025, working for promotions such as Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. On a personal note, Dhesi married his long-time girlfriend, Priya, on June 28, 2025.

  • Eva Marie Details Original 2021 WWE Return Plans

The original WWE plans for a former star’s return run have been revealed, with the star stating that plans changed on a dime. Eva Marie made her return to WWE in 2021, heralding the arrival of “the Eva-lution” with a mission to help others. The return would see her align with Piper Niven, christening the Scottish star ‘Doudrop’, before the duo eventually began feuding with one another. With Eva Marie having parted ways with WWE in November 2021, she has now revealed details of the original plan.

Speaking on Daria & Toni Unwrapped, Eva Marie noted that she was initially just supposed to be Niven’s mouthpiece. She also stated that she wasn’t originally expecting to wrestle during her return run.

“I was just supposed to be a mouthpiece, period. I was like, amazing, because then at some point in time I would end up getting my shit beat up, but not for a minute. It also would build Piper because she was a stud, and also she can wrestle, she can get down and be my muscle.”

That plan did not last long, as Marie was quickly thrust into in-ring action. “That was kind of how it was supposed to go, but then it got switched on a dime, and I wrestled way more than I was ever supposed to. I wrestled more in that little snippet than I even thought was going to happen. I mean, I had a SummerSlam match and it was on a whim, I’m like ‘Huh?\’”

Eva Marie’s SummerSlam match in August 2021 saw her lose to Alexa Bliss in under four minutes. Her last two matches were losses to Doudrop the following month.
