  • Another Top AEW Star Taking Time Off After All In Texas

Another top AEW star is set for some time off.

Samoa Joe being stretchered out after his All In Texas match against Death Riders, was recently revealed to be an angle, allowing Joe to take time off for the promotion of the Twisted Metal Series.

Now Fightful Select has revealed that the heavyweight star is not the only one taking time off from the company after the latest PPV.

Will Ospreay picked up a big victory at All In. He teamed up with Swerve Strickland, and the duo defeated The Young Bucks to rid them of their EVP status in the company.

The Aerial Assassin then came out to help Hangman Page against Jon Moxley in the main event. This time, however, his opponents proved to be too much, and Ospreay had to be taken out on a stretcher.

The report has now revealed that this whole angle was done for the same reason as Samoa Joe. The former IWGP World Champion had been working banged up before the PPV and he will also be absent from AEW TV for a while.

A concrete timetable for Will Ospreay\’s return to the company has not been confirmed, but it\’s believed that he will be out for at least a month

While Ospreay will not be seen on TV in the upcoming weeks, his All In partner Swerve Strickland doesn\’t seem to be going anywhere. The former AEW Champion started a new program on this week\’s Dynamite which you can check out here.

  • ROH Champion Injured At All In Texas

A current ROH champion suffered an injury during All In Texas.

The latest AEW PPV featured a Women\’s Gauntlet match with a future shot at the Women\’s World Title on the line. The ending of the bout saw Athena pinning Mina Shirakawa after hitting an O-Face.

Athena then appeared on this week\’s episode of Dynamite, interrupting the current Women\’s Champion Toni Storm. Storm was delivering her victory speech after defeating Mercedes Mone at the show this past Saturday.

The Forever ROH Women\’s Champion talked about winning the Gauntlet match and claimed that not only Luther but also Shirakawa was out of her way.

Announcer Tony Schiavone later provided an update on these comments, revealing that Mina suffered a broken hand during the ending sequence of the All In match.

The injury comes at a troubling time for AEW, as Mina Shirakawa was crowned the Interim ROH Women\’s TV Champion at Supercard of Honor last week due to Red Velvet\’s injury.

Now Shirakawa getting injured herself will force the company to change their plans once again. Based on how long she will stay out of action, the officials could potentially strip her of the belt and put it on someone else.

  • Watch: Jelly Roll Puts Logan Paul Through Table At Jimmy Kimmel Live

A wrestling angle took place at Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.

Jelly Roll was filling in as the host for Kimmel at the talk show this Wednesday night. He invited his SummerSlam tag team partner Randy Orton to the show.

So it wasn\’t a surprise when Drew McIntyre showed up to the set as well. After a war of words, the Scottish Warrior got into a fist fight with Orton, and the two led each other away.

Logan Paul was the next to show up and he started talking trash to Jelly Roll once again. The YouTuber then slapped Jelly Roll, and in response, the rapper chokeslammed Paul onto a table to end the segment:

Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul interrupt and attack Randy Orton and Jelly Roll on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Jelly Roll hits Logan with a chokeslam.

The singing star was involved in WWE segments at this past Friday\’s SmackDown and the following Saturday Night\’s Main Event as well. After SNME, he was announced to team with Randy Orton to face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

The Grammy-nominated artist originally caught the wrestling bug after his appearance at SummerSlam last year, so his debut match being at the show this year makes sense.

Jelly Roll was a guest on the latest episode of Pat McAfee Show, where he revealed some details about his training for the upcoming bout. You can check out what he said here.

  • New Female Faction Formed On Dynamite

A new alliance was formed on Dynamite.

This week\’s episode of the Wednesday night show featured a women\’s fatal four-way among Kris Statlander, Queen Aminata, Thekla and Willow Nightingale. The winner was announced to receive a cash prize of $100,000.

The ending of the bout saw Willow hitting the Doctor Bomb on Thekla and going for the pin. Kris Statlander, however, pulled the referee out of the ring to keep the match going. Nightingale then got out too and started brawling with Kris, leading the action away from the ring and onto the ramp.

Aminata took the opportunity to deliver a double stomp on Thekla, and she then went for a pin of her own. The Toxic Spider, however, managed to kick out.

Skye Blue then showed up at the ringside. Julia Hart appeared in the ring as well and spat the green mist on Aminata.

Thekla took advantage of the opportunity, and she pinned the fellow AEW star for the victory. The trio of Hart, Thekla, and Blue raised each other\’s hands after the match, confirming that they are now working together.

Tonight\’s show also featured The Young Bucks in action, who received a new entrance after their All In Texas loss. You can check out more about it here

  • The Young Bucks Entrance Changed After All In Texas Loss

The Young Bucks are already feeling the effects of their loss at All In Texas.

The AEW founders put their Executive Vice President positions on the line against Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay at the PPV this past Saturday. The duo of Ospreay and Strickland had promised not to challenge for the world title if they lost but it was the Bucks who suffered the loss.

The effects of the brothers losing their power within the company was seen during this week\’s episode of Dynamite, when the two made their entrance. Not only were the Young Bucks stripped of their usual pyro during their entrance, the production crew also changed the graphics on the big screen:

The duo of Nick and Matt Jackson teamed with Hechicero & Josh Alexander to face Bandido, Brody King, & JetSpeed at the show. The heels picked up the victory in this match after Hechicero put Bandido into a sleeper hold.

The former EVPs were not the only ones whose entrance was changed. New Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada also entered to a new theme at tonight\’s show after his All In victory over Kenny Omega. Okada picked up a quick win after which he was confronted by Strickland. You can check out the full story here

  • Watch: Top AEW Star Gets New Theme On Dynamite

A top AEW star has a new theme.

This week\’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the new Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada in action. He picked up a quick victory over Rafael Quintero.

What\’s interesting to note about the current champion is that he got a new theme song, in addition to the new belt after All In Texas.

After the familiar coin drop sound that indicates his arrival, Okada entered to “C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y.” by ONE OK ROCK instead of his usual Rainmaker theme that he\’s used for years:

Following his victory, Kazuchika Okada called out Swerve Strickland, after the former AEW champion teamed up with Will Ospreay to defeat The Young Bucks at the PPV this past Saturday.

Strickland came out to confront the former NJPW star and quickly got into his face. Swerve was ready for a fight, but Don Callis held Okada back, deciding that it was not the right place for this confrontation.

Okada put his Continental Championship on the line against Kenny Omega\’s International Title at All In Texas. The Japanese star won this bout with some help from Callis.

Tony Khan later confirmed that the new Unified title will be defended under the Continental rules. You can check out what he said here.

  • The Godfather Names One Wrestling Moment That Broke His Heart

The Godfather has revealed the one wrestling moment that broke his heart.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently had an interview with No Contest Wrestling podcast. He talked about things such as the tragic passing of Owen Hart, his start in wrestling and more.

When asked about which wrestling moment broke his heart, The Godfather noted that he wasn\’t a fan of the business growing up. If he had to pick one moment however, it would be the end of Undertaker\’s WrestleMania streak at the hands of Brock Lesnar back in 2014:

\”I was never a fan like that. It didn\’t break my heart. But I was surprised, Taker lost to Brock in the way that he did. Cause I was with him that day, I was with him all day.

The funny thing about me and him, we talk about everything in the world but we don\’t talk about wrestling. So I never knew that day that he was going to drop it.\”

    He Wasn\’t There: The Godfather

The Godfather noted how he didn\’t get to see The Undertaker a day after his streak was broken. He mentioned that the Dead Man had suffered a concussion during the bout and he didn\’t look very good:

\”I didn\’t see him till the next day. I was leaving for the airport, and he was, he was fucked up. I\’m like, \’Take, you alright?\’ He goes, \’No, I\’m going to the hospital.\’ I\’m like, \’Dude, you don\’t look good, man. You want me to go with you?\’

And his wife was with him and he goes, \’No, I\’m gonna be alright, bro. Go on home.\’ I\’m like, \’You sure you don\’t want me to go with you?\’ He\’s like, \’Nah, I\’ll be alright.\’ And I think he was in the hospital for a couple of days.

So that kind of, if anything kind of broke my heart. That next morning, bro, he wasn\’t there. I know him real well, he wasn\’t there. Something happened in the match and I guess he got a really bad concussion in that match, and he don\’t even remember the whole match. He don\’t even remember it.\”

  • Absent AEW Star Hints At Next Venture With New Trademark

A current AEW star has filed an interesting trademark hinting at what\’s next for her.

Kamille, who has not been on AEW TV for months, recently filed the trademark for the term \’The Cat 5.\’ According to the description of the application filed on July 15, the term will be used for \’Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network\’ among other things.

The idea of a wrestling news publication run by talent is not new. Chris Jericho, who is also a part of the AEW roster, owns the Web is Jericho website. It keeps fans updated about various topics in addition to his own ventures.

Kamille made her AEW debut in July 2024, forming an alliance with the TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. This partnership lasted only a few months as the former NWA Women\’s Champion broke up with Mone in November that year.

Many thought she was heading towards a program with the former Sasha Banks after this, and reports suggest that Mone herself was willing to work a match with her former associate.

The female star, however, vanished from AEW programming. There has been no word on why the former champion is away or when she could return, ever since.

  • Nikki Bella Explains Awkward Finish To Raw Match

Nikki Bella has explained why the finish to her Raw match did not look as smooth as it should have.

The WWE Hall of Famer competed in her first singles match in almost 7 years when she went up against Chelsea Green this past Monday. The ending of the bout was a little awkward as Nikki looked to pick up her opponent faceside up. She then changed her mind and hit a different kind of slam to get the pinfall victory over the former US champion.

The wrestling veteran explained her actions during the Raw recap. Nikki Bella revealed that she completely forgot what she was supposed to do and picked Chelsea up like she used to for her old Rack Attack finisher:

\”What’s crazy is everyone kept telling me backstage ‘it’s going to be like riding an old bike.’ Well, yeah, it was like riding such an old bike that I went and put Chelsea up in my old Rack Attack that broke my neck. And what was weird is I haven’t hit that since 2016.\”

I Never Did That: Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella mentioned how it was the same finisher that led to her neck injury and she quickly had to stop herself from doing it:

\”So it was weird that I naturally turned her and put her up. And the slight second I go, ‘this is what broke my neck.’ Even when I came back from my broken neck, I never did that.

I never once did that. She just was like, ‘are you okay?’ But that was very wild to me… We have these moments where we’re not perfect. still got the victory, and that is what counts.”

The former Divas Champion was attacked by the Secret Hervice after her victory. Stephanie Vaquer then came out of make the save for Bella. It\’s unknown if Nikki will be sticking around but this angle does leave the door open for a potential SummerSlam rivalry.

  • The Undertaker Set For Confrontation With Top NXT Star

The Undertaker is coming to NXT to reap a specific soul.

This week\’s episode of the development show featured a six-man tag team match, which saw Trick Williams teaming up with TNA rivals Mike Santana and Joe Hendry to take on Darkstate.

After a frustrated Williams confronted his partners during a spot in the match, both Santana and Hendry clocked him out. The System then showed up to fight Darkstate, and the whole thing turned into a brawl.

This wasn\’t the last of Trick Williams we saw during the night. There was a backstage segment featuring several WWE LFG rookies who were chatting with each other.

    The Undertaker Tweets

The TNA Champion rolled up in a bad mood and got into a confrontation with the LFG group. Williams then name-dropped Undertaker, advising them to ask the Dead Man why stepping up to the former NXT champ is not a good idea.

The WWE Hall of Famer later responded to this segment on Twitter. He confirmed an appearance at next week\’s episode of NXT from Houston, and advised the current champion to stay out of the way:

Trick Williams is set for a big match before the next episode of the Black & Silver show. He will be defending his TNA title against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a triple threat at TNA Slammiversary on July 20.

  • The Godfather Reflects On The Tragic Death of Owen Hart

The Godfather has remembered the night of Owen Hart\’s passing.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently appeared on the No Contest Wrestling podcast. He talked about things such as his first meeting with The Undertaker, how he got into WWE, and more.

During the interview, he was also asked about working with The Hart Family during his active years. The Godfather put over both Bret and Owen Hart as some of the kindest people he ever met:

\”Love that family, man. Bret, super super cool dude. Stood up for me one time when they didn\’t want him to wrestle me as Papa Shango. They thought it was going to ruin his career. He\’s like, \’No, I\’ll work with him. He\’s a good dude.\’

Owen, best guy in the world, man. Jokester. When I went to Germany for the first time, he taught me how to go around and order food. When I went to Japan for the first time, he taught me how to take the subway, the trolleys, eat food. Just good dude, man.\”

The Godfather On Owen Hart\’s Passing

Later, he also discussed the tragic death of Owen Hart at the 1999 Over the Edge PPV. The Godfather, who held the Intercontinental Championship at the time, was scheduled to compete with the late star on the show. The 64-year-old mentioned that he was supposed to drop the title to Owen at the PPV.

The wrestling veteran noted how he was hanging out with Owen throughout the day, but he didn\’t witness his fall because he was backstage, getting ready for his own entrance:

\”Honestly, my wife remembers more than I do. I just remember seeing Owen, when he came through the curtain, he was blue. He\’s already gone. And I really honestly, I don\’t remember much about that. My wife tells me I called her, and she remembers a lot that I said that I don\’t remember saying.\”

The Undertaker had also talked about having to wrestle after Hart\’s passing last year, saying that the show should have been cancelled. You can check out his remarks here.

  • SummerSlam Angle Expected At Popular Talk Show This Week

A wrestling angle is expected at a popular talk show this week.

Singer Jelly Roll made his WWE return during this past Friday\’s episode of SmackDown. He was confronted by Logan Paul who berated him for being an outsider.

Randy Orton then came out to defend the singing star, but he ended up getting blindsided by Drew McIntyre. In the end, it was Jelly Roll who saved Orton from a beatdown at the hands of Logan Paul.

JR then accompanied The Viper for his match against McIntyre at this past weekend\’s edition of Saturday Night\’s Main Event. Logan Paul was at the show as well, and after another angle, a tag team match between the two teams was announced for the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

Angle Expected At Jimmy Kimmel Live

Jelly Roll has since been announced to host the popular talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday night. The announced guests for the show include Jeremy Renner and Joey Bada$$, as well as Randy Orton.

A new report from PWinsider is suggesting that Orton\’s inclusion on the guest list is not a coincidence and we can expect another angle to further build the SummerSlam match at the talk show.

Neither Drew McIntyre nor Logan Paul have officially been announced for the show but atleast one of the two former champions should be making an appearance.

  • Watch: Cody Rhodes Gifts Custom WWE Title At 2025 MLB Home Run Derby

While Roman Reigns was making his triumphant WWE return at the latest episode of Raw, his arch rival Cody Rhodes was busy promoting the company elsewhere.

The American Nightmare made a surprise appearance at the 2025 MLB Home Run Derby in Atlanta in his signature look, and he even cut a promo.

The former WWE champion also brought a custom WWE title belt with him, which featured the MLB logo. Cody gifted it to Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners, who won the Derby with 54 total home runs.

Cody Rhodes last wrestled during the Night of Champions PPV last month, where he defeated Randy Orton to win the King of The Ring tournament.

The win also earns him a shot at John Cena\’s WWE Championship. This WrestleMania 41 rematch between the two WWE stars is set for the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

Roman Reigns, on the other hand, does not have a match announced for the PPV yet. He looked to be set for a match against Seth Rollins at the show but the latter\’s recent injury puts a doubt over these plans.

The Tribal Chief still went after Seth\’s partners in his WWE return tonight, so it\’s possible that we\’ll see him facing Bron Breakker or Bronson Reed at the show instead.

  • Multiple New Title Matches Confirmed For SummerSlam

3 new matches have been announced for SummerSlam.

WWE had earlier announced a Gauntlet match for Raw to determine Gunther\’s opponent for the upcoming PPV. CM Punk won this match during the Monday Night Show, earning himself a shot at the World Title.

A similar two-out-of-three falls match between Lyra Valkyria and Bayley took place on the episode after Becky Lynch beat both at Evolution 2 to retain the Women\’s IC title. Valkyria won this bout, earning what presumably will be her final shot at the championship for a while.

Finally, a Women\’s World Championship triple threat was announced for the upcoming PLE, after Naomi cashed in her Money In The Bank contract to defeat both Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at the All Women PPV last night.

  • Paul Heyman Hints At Seth Rollins Plans Amid Injury on Raw

It appears Seth Rollins will be keeping his Money In The Bank contract atleast for the time being as WWE continues to evaluate his injury.

Triple H had talked about the Architect\’s health on the post-Evolution press conference. The Game had noted that Rollins was set to be evaluated on Monday when Raw visited Birmingham.

During the show, Jackie Redmond caught up with Paul Heyman, asking him about the results of this evaluation. The advocate did not provide any solid details, saying that it\’s too soon to say anything.

Heyman, however, reminded everyone that Seth has until next June to cash in the MITB contract, hinting that he\’ll be keeping the briefcase even during his recovery:

\”I don\’t have any information right now, it\’s too soon. And come on, Seth Rollins has until next June to cash in the Money In the Bank agreement. So until he\’s crashing into that deadline, Seth Rollins\’ health is not a relevant subject.\”

Heyman later hyped up Bron Breakker\’s participation in the #1 contender\’s Gauntlet match later in the night. Breakker would go on to eliminate Penta, LA Knight, and Jey Uso from the bout, only to be eliminated by CM Punk in the end.

The former NXT Champion then attacked Punk, setting things up for a returning Roman Reigns to make the save. You can check out what happened with Reigns after the show here.

  • Watch: What Happened With Roman Reigns After Raw Went Off Air

Roman Reigns soaked in the moment of his return after Raw.

WWE presented the latest episode of the Red Branded show from Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The main event of the night was a Gauntlet match to determine Gunther\’s opponent for SummerSlam.

CM Punk picked up the victory in this match as expected. The Straight Edge Star last Eliminated Bron Breakker with the GTS to win the whole thing.

Breakker\’s partner Bronson Reed was not happy about this result, and he ended up attacking the former champion after the bell. Jey Uso tried to make the save but he ate a spear as well.

    What Happened After Raw

Reed then held CM Punk up for a spear from Bron, but he couldn\’t get the job done. Roman Reigns\’ music hit, and the Tribal Chief made his return to WWE.

The Head of the Table cleared the ring with multiple Superman punches and a big spear to Bronson Reed. He then helped Jey back on his feet. Punk got on his feet on his own and the three babyfaces stared down the heels on the ramp to close out the show.

Both Punk and Jey left after the broadcast ended, but Roman remained in the ring for a while. He played the crowd up for some time, enjoying the reaction, before finally heading to the back as well.

  • AEW Star Claims WWE Gimmick Was Originally Offered To Him

A former WWE star has revealed some interesting details regarding a current gimmick.

Blake Christian, who is signed to AEW, had a brief run with the Endeavor-owned promotion back in 2021. He wrestled under the ring name Trey Baxter during his 9-month tenure and made numerous TV appearances before his release.

One such TV appearance saw him teasing becoming a superhero in a backstage segment, but the idea never came to fruition.

Christian provided some more details on the whole thing during a recent interview with In The Weeds podcast. He revealed that the officials talked about the superhero character on more than one occasion, but the idea never became a reality as long as he was in the promotion:

“They approached me when I first went and they were like, ‘We want this type of character.’ I’m open-minded for anything.

Then, it didn’t happen. When 2.0 came around they were like, ‘We’re going to do it now. This is a perfect character for this show.’ I came up with a suit design and a name. It just didn’t happen. Well, it did happen, but it didn’t happen with me,”

I\’m Happy To See It: Blake Christian

Only months after Blake Christian\’s WWE release in November 2021, the company debuted the character of Axiom. Played by Spanish star A-Kid, the masked star made his first appearance in July 2022. It quickly became a fan favorite and went on to have a successful NXT run.

When asked if it was the same gimmick he was offered, the 27-year-old confirmed the story. Christian claimed that he was the one who came up with the gear for the character and praised Kid\’s work with it:

“I was supposed to be, yes. I came up with all the stuff. I think the person they gave it to is great and he’s done a great job, maybe even better than I could have done. I’m happy to see it still alive and doing as well as it’s doing.”

Axiom formed a tag team with Nathan Frazer in late 2023. The duo went on to have two reigns with the NXT tag titles before being called up to SmackDown earlier this year. Blake Christian on the other hand, signed with AEW in early 2022 but he is yet to win any championships in the company.

  • Raquel Rodriguez Discusses Liv Morgan\’s Injury Changing WWE Plans

Raquel Rodriguez says Liv Morgan\’s injury affected plans for not only the Evolution 2 PPV this week but whole women\’s locker room.

One half of the current Women\’s Tag Team Champions recently had an interview with Shak Wrestling to promote the All Women PPV. She talked about things such as Kevin Nash criticizing her work style, the growth of Judgment Day and more.

When asked about Liv Morgan\’s injury and how it has affected the plans, Raquel Rodriguez claimed that the effect goes far beyond just the Evolution PPV:

“Her impact, it was bigger than just Evolution. Her getting injured and this impact that it’s had, not just on Judgment Day, not just on the Women’s Tag Team Titles, but on the entire women’s locker room is going even far past Evolution, you know?\”

Lost My Right Hand: Raquel Rodriguez

Liv Morgan injured her shoulder in a match against Kairi Sane during the June 16 episode of Raw last month. She was involved in a rivalry with Nikki Bella at the time, with the expectation of the two facing each other at Evolution 2. The feud was dropped after Morgan\’s injury and Bella ended up competing in the battle royal at the PPV instead.

Talking about her absence from the road, Raquel Rodriguez said that she misses her partner every day. The Raw star noted how she and Morgan used to go everywhere together, and not having her around is tough for her:

\”She is missed every single day, every single trip. I miss her so much because we used to travel every single — where we went together.

We were staying together in the same hotels and now it feels like I’ve lost my right hand and my sister and so, I’m just trying to keep that communication within us still alive so that she knows that these are still here waiting for her when she comes back.”

Roxanne Perez has joined Judgment Day in the absence of Liv. She has been recognized as one-half of the tag team champions in place of Morgan and she has been defending the title with Rodriguez.

  • CM Punk Announced For Big Gauntlet Match On Raw

CM Punk will be competing in a big match on Raw with SummerSlam implications.

The company had announced that the winner of the King of The Ring tournament will receive a shot at their brand\’s World Champion at the upcoming PPV. SmackDown star Cody Rhodes then defeated Randy Orton in the finals to earn a shot at John Cena\’s WWE title at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

This left the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther without an opponent for the two-night event, and now WWE has confirmed how they\’ll determine his next challenger.

The company has announced that the July 14 episode of Monday Night Raw from Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, will feature a Gauntlet match with the winner receiving a shot at the World Heavyweight title.

Apart from the Straight Edge star, other participants for the bout include Jey Uso, LA Knight, Penta and Bron Breakker.

CM Punk last wrestled at the Night of Champions PPV, unsuccessfully challenging John Cena for the WWE title. Gunther on the other hand, successfully defended his belt against Goldberg in his retirement match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

WWE had teased a potential rivalry between Punk and the Ring General only last month, and Gunther even talked about it during the SNME recap show. So the chances of the former AEW star winning the match on Raw seem higher than other contestants.

  • Triple H Says \’We\’ll See\’ If Evolution Becomes An Annual PPV

Triple H is not sure what the future holds for the Evolution brand.

WWE presented Evolution 2 from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia tonight, 7 years after the inaugural PPV under the banner. All the women who were part of the event gave their everything and once again proved why the female stars deserve the spotlight as much as the male performers.

During the Evolution post-show, Triple H was asked if fans can expect the All-Women PPV to become a yearly occurrence going forward. The WWE Chief Content Officer played coy, saying that the future plans for the brand will depend on the demand for it:

\”Having a night where they can come together and celebrate that, I think it worked out well here tonight. Moving forward, we’ll see — I don’t want to say it’s yearly, it’s not yearly.

I think we see what the demand is for it. Because as the demand for the women grows across the board every day, it became less about having their own show and more about — that’s the equality is, it’s all there. They don’t have to have their show to be in the spotlight. But if it works, we will definitely go down that road again.\”

Elsewhere during the post-show, former WWE Champion Big E discussed how he almost broke down watching the PPV, and hoped that it won\’t be another 7 years before the show returns.

One of the top moments of Evolution 2 was Trish Stratus receiving a standing ovation from the crowd for her performance. You can check out what she said about her wrestling future afterward here.

  • Trish Stratus Comments on Wrestling Future After Evolution 2

Trish Stratus has commented on her Evolution 2 performance.

The WWE Hall of Famer challenged Tiffany Stratton for the Women\’s Championship at the All-Women WWE PPV. Trish ended up receiving a standing ovation from the crowd for her performance at the show.

    — LuigiWrestling (@LuigiWrestling) July 14, 2025

During the Evolution post-show, the wrestling veteran was asked about people showing their appreciation, knowing that any performance could be her last. Trish Stratus noted how similar thoughts cross her mind every time she goes out there, and she feels blessed at being able to continue wrestling:

“I have that thought, like, ‘Is this the last time?’ Like, it could be. And the WWE Universe has been so wonderful for me and so supportive. I just feel so blessed to be able to dip my toes into the waters of the current landscape, like how lucky I am.\”

The former Women\’s Champion was later asked if we\’re going to see her again and she teased more appearances in the coming times saying, “It’s my 25th year [in wrestling], let’s make it a good one.”

During the post-show, Triple H also provided an update on Seth Rollins after his Saturday Night\’s Main Event injury. You can check out what he said here.

  • Triple H Says Seth Rollins Injury \’Doesn\’t Look Good\’

Triple H has provided an update on Seth Rollins.

The Money In The Bank holder seemingly suffered a knee injury during Saturday Night\’s Main Event yesterday. This forced WWE to cut his match with LA Knight short and rework the last 40 minutes of the show on the fly.

The Game talked about Rollins during his appearance on the Evolution 2 post-show. He revealed that Seth will be in Birmingham tomorrow to get a better evaluation but claimed that as of right now, his condition does not look good:

\”I\’m sure somebody here will ask about Seth. I\’ll just say right now – a little bit inconclusive. Doesn\’t look good. But we\’re in Birmingham tomorrow. He came here tonight.

He was not going to miss his wife\’s performance tonight. He is here or was here. He\’ll be in Birmingham tomorrow with Doctor Dugas. We\’ll get MRI and hope for the best. See where we can go with that.\”

Seth Rollins was at Evolution 2 supporting his wife, Becky Lynch. The Man successfully defended her Women\’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria at the show.

The show also featured a surprise ending with Naomi cashing in her Money In The Bank contract. You can check out what happened after her cash in here.

  • Top NXT Star Turns Heel During Evolution 2

A top NXT star turned heel during Evolution 2

WWE presented the All-Women PPV from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, this Sunday. The WWE developmental brand was represented by the NXT Women\’s Title match as Jordynne Grace challenged Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne for the belt.

With Jayne having her teammates Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx on her side, Blake Monroe offered to be at the ringside to help Grace in this match.

Monroe seemed to be doing what she said at first. She stopped Fallon Henley from interfering in the match, and Blake then quickly took out Jazmyn Nyx as well.

The former AEW Women\’s Champion then picked up the NXT title. As Jayne threw Jordynne Grace into the ropes, however, Monroe hit her friend in the back with the belt.

The referee was busy with Henley and Nyx on the other side of the ring, so the match was not called off.  The attack from Blake allowed Jayne to hit the Rolling Encore, and she pinned the former TNA star to retain her title.

The show also featured a surprising twist in the main event as Naomi cashed in her Money In The Bank contract. You can check out the result of the match and what happened afterward here.

  • Watch: What Happened With Rhea Ripley After Evolution 2 Went Off Air

The two main eventers shared a moment after Evolution 2 went off air.

WWE presented the Evolution 2 PPV from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, this Sunday. The main event of the show featured Rhea Ripley challenging IYO SKY for the Women\’s Championship.

Both women put on a great match, proving why they deserved to be the last bout in the card. The ending of the bout saw Ms. Money In The Bank Naomi pulling a Seth Rollins maneuver, and cashing in her contract while the championship match was still ongoing.

The triple threat match rules allowed her to use her briefcase as a weapon on SKY. After taking Ripley out by sending her crashing through the ring post, Naomi delivered a split-legged moonsault on the Women\’s Champion for the pin.

    What Happened After Evolution 2

The second Evolution PPV went off the air with Naomi celebrating her big victory up on the ramp, while SKY and Ripley remained in the ring.

After the broadcast of the main show ended, Rhea showed some respect towards her opponent. She shared a hug with IYO before both left the ring together.

This is Naomi\’s first time winning the Women\’s title in her decade-plus career in WWE. She previously had multiple runs with the women\’s tag titles but had never held a singles title in the company.

  • Cody Rhodes Was \’Honored\’ To Be Part of WWE\’s Latest Saudi Arabia Trip

Cody Rhodes has flimsy defence to WWE\’s Saudi Arabian shows.

The company\’s relationship with the Kingdom came under scrutiny once again when tensions flared up between Israel and Iran just days before the Night of Champions PPV last month. While a ceasefire was reached before the show, it made fans everywhere else question WWE\’s visits to the Middle Eastern country.

The WWE quarterback gave his opinion on the matter during a recent interview with Boston Herald. Cody Rhodes criticized what he called the \’gotcha culture\’ of fans, claiming that it shouldn\’t be anyone\’s business:

“That is a responsibility to our fan base, I don’t want to be negative, but I will say there is this whole ‘gotcha culture’ over who is a Democrat, who is a Republican, who is a moderate, and who people support.

None of these things really should be anybody’s business – because our business is going where our show goes, which is all over the world, and hopefully bringing people together. WWE is a non-partisan brand. We go where the show goes.\”

The American Nightmare claimed that seeing the enthusiasm of the fans in Saudi Arabia was one of the biggest eye-opening moments for him. Per Cody Rhodes, there is similarity between the fandom of people in the middle east and in Europe and he felt \’so honored, especially in tumultuous times, to be able to go.\’

Cody competed in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions where he defeated Randy Orton. The win earned him the right to challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV next month.
